I been working and working, but I never have enough to survive through every month. So I change my career and started learn about plumbing. Working years of other plumbing company, saw the potential of the plumbing career, then now I start my own things!

Drain Rooter Service was not my first call. I called another highly rated rooter service first and they told me they could get someone to come by the next morning and gave absolutely no price estimate or even a guess. That was not satisfactory.

I called Drain Rooter Service and they told me there would be a technician out in twenty minutes and he would give me a price before he got started with NO charge to come out!!

Hung was my technician and he crawled under the house and checked out a few more things, carefully, before he gave me an estimate. Then he explained how he knew where the problem was. It all made sense, he gave me a very fair estimate and proceeded when I accepted his estimate.

He resolved the problem, gave me a thirty day warranty, cleaned up nicely and was on his way.

Fast service, very fair price, very professional service is what I received. As Hung left, I told him that I would call him next time I needed rooter service, but I hoped it wouldn't be too soon.

Eight o'clock at night, my downstairs toilet started bubbling which I know is trouble.

Made a call and they came over right away.

Power cleaned the sewer line but then had to snake the area above the sewer line.

Extremely honest and amazing. I would hire for any plumbing issue.

Needed someone to snake my bathroom sink. Todd was quick and responsive. The Technician was assigned and met me at my place quickly. He quickly assessed the issue and fixed the problem. We had a major shower drain backup.  Called Todd at Drain Rooter Service.
Todd was able to have his technician Tu respond within 30 minutes.

Tu tried to clear the drain using the typical drain rooter but was not
sucessful. He entered our crawl space to check the piping.  We had old cast iron piping (house was built in 1964) and found there were too many bends for his rooter to reach.  He suggested replacing the piping with ABS.  He gave us a quote which I accepted.
He had all the materials in his truck and was able to complete the project
same day.  He was also able to check on low water flow at our kitchen faucet and found the faucet to be defective.  
The cost was fair as he was here for over 3 hours.
Tu was very pleasent to work with, communcated very well and left the house clean.

Professional and courteous.  Our new go to plumbers!  My washing machine was back flowing into the garage. I called just to have my pipe snaked. Hong asked to check kitchen and did trouble shooting to see what was the real issue.  Turns out my pipe was not clogged, so he told me I did not need his service.  Just needed to adjust the washer pipe.  5 stars for honesty and integrity. Hire them! You won't regret it.

This is a bit overdue - Todd and team were awesome.  I had drainage issue at my house, had a local plumber snake my house but he couldn't figure it out. Todd and his team came within the hr of me contacting them, they snaked my house and found the issue on the city side.

His team came and quickly dug a hole in my front lawn, found the drainage pipe, and snaked the city side to get my house plumbing working again. His team put up an output where we can snake the house or city side in the future, he took care of the licensing and coordination. His costs were cheaper than the city and he was honest.

I will definitely use their service again in the future!!!

Main shower has been draining poorly for months.  Tried various Drano like liquids with no success.  Today I looked under the house and saw that water was dripping from the pipe when the shower was running.   Read a good review on Yelp for Drain Rooter Service; they were here in less than 1 hour.  He cut-out and replaced the leaky section of pipe and cleaned out the trap to find a large quantity of calcium and hair.   Fixed the problem in about 2 hours.  I will definitely call them again.

Todd and his guys are my go to for plumbing services.  Thought I heard running water through the pipes in the morning and after some personal debugging (main on/off), I figured I had a supply line leak.  Called Drain Rooter Service at ~9:00am and someone was out here right away.  They confirmed the leak and had it fixed in no time at a reasonable cost without me getting into my crawl space!

These 5 star ratings half of them are self reviews. Pay attention to the number of reviews a person has written and if you go through a few pages, you might find them again! Same tactics lots of these Chinese and Vietnamese vendors use.
I read on Nextdoor, people mentioned that there is promised discount by this vendor for writing good reviews on Yelp.
I did not hire him, was put off by his lack of knowledge yet arrogant attitude and unprofessional mannerism.

Called them to fix leaky shower valve. They responded promptly, sent a tech out quickly. Tech carefully unscrewed the stubborn calcified brass ring around the cartridge and installed the replacement. Good friendly guy and a nice experience.

Drain Rooter Service is very impressive.  We have used their services to replace piping, check our main lines and most recently to replace our water heater.  For the pipes, unlike other services we used previously before finding Drain Rooter service, they do an under house inspection to determine the root cause of the issue before beginning work.  They always provide pictures, multiple options and timely service.  Last night they came to help diagnose water found in the laundry room.   Today they came to replace the leaking water heater.  Since it was under warranty, they drained it, loaded it into their truck and met me at the place of purchase while I got the exchange.  When they took out the unit, they discovered water on the wall and diagnosed the problem.  Fixing the leak in the wall was a great find to prevent future potential issues.  These are my 100% go to plumbers and highly recommend them.  They are thorough, fair and professional.  Thank you Drain Rooter Service.  So happy we found you.

Tu came out right after I called to say we had blockages in the garage sink and also in the kitchen sink. He was able to snake both of them and get it unclogged. He was easy to understand when he explained the problem and fixed it right then and there He waited until the washer was finished to make sure it worked properly. I would highly recommend this company for cleaning out your drains.

I received a call from our renter at 2pm, reviewed the yelp reviews and glad I called Drain Rooter Service. It is now 4:15 and the kitchen drains and 2 showers were all rotored clean. The service was quick and efficient. The renter's were thrilled this was such a quick turnaround. The phone was answered quickly and the appointment set on the first phone call. None of the let me see my schedule stuff. The price was quoted on the phone immediately. Love this service.

Our toilet and tub backed up.  I called Drain Rooter and they responded quickly and dropped by the diagnose the problem as a main line issue.  He went on the roof and cleared the obstr through the air duct.  

They offer a 30 day warranty on their work.

My garbage disposal suddenly stopped working and my kitchen sink was clogged. It was 6:30pm on a Monday, and I tried calling several places that said they were already closed. When I called Drain Rooter, Todd answered right away and was at my home within 1 hour. He was very knowledgeable, honest, and efficient.  From the time I called him to completion of the job, was probably about 1.5 hrs at most. He was actually able to fix my disposal and save me some money as well. And his rates are very reasonable. I have posted his card in my kitchen so I know who to call any time I need an excellent plumber right away.

A few weeks later, I called Todd again when my garbage disposal finally stopped working for good. He sent a person (Tu) who arrived within 30 minutes. Tu replaced the garbage disposal and did an excellent job. From the time I called to replacement of my disposal probably took about 1 hour. I am very happy with their service, and will be the only plumbers I use in the future. They are very efficient, professional, and trustworthy!

I had a clogged toilet that I was unable to unclog myself.  I had Drain Rooter install a new toilet for me two years earlier that went really well, so I called them for my most recent situation.  Todd and his staff were quick to respond to phone calls and texts, and the plumber who Todd sent out did a great job of clearing the clog.  He also gave me a tip on how to decrease the odds of being subjected to clogs in the future.  Great job and Thank You!

Great all-round service.

Todd was courteous and gave me a great quote. My main pipe was blocked up and needed a roof snake. Other plumbers quoted me at twice the cost.

Todd arrived within 20 minutes of calling, investigated the problem, and then completed the pipe cleaning within 30 minutes. I'll definitely call him again for other drain and sewage problems.

Got home and started laundry that I would need the next day, only to find sewage coming from my clean out.  I'm figuring there's no way at 5pm I'm going to be able to find someone to help quickly.  I was so wrong.  Todd was at the house within 15 minutes of my call and had the blockage cleared up in less than 30 minutes.  He was clean, careful, and very friendly.  I will definitely be calling him for all of my future plumbing needs!

They came by to fix a blocked sink and charged me $$$ for a 15 min air-jet clearing job.
They are the experts and they have the tools - so I was fine with the expensive price.
They also said they have 30 day warranty, which was great!

But when the sink p-trap started leaking they came back and charged me more $$$ to replace it.
That was the root cause of the problem! I shouldn't have had to pay them a second time given the 30 day warranty.

Todd and his crew replaced the drainpipes under the house seven months ago (both sewer and kitchen). There was a major blockage inside, and I initially had a different company come to do the outside work who... let's just say I definitely needed somebody else for the inside work. When I got new bids, Drain Rooter went over all the pipes with their equipment, explored the crawlspace area to see what they had to work in, and then we discussed options for the issues with the pipes and workspace. They were forthright and upfront and they won the bid with their practicality and attention to detail. During the work, they also impressed me with their on-the-job training of their apprentice and the amount of care they took in explaining everything to him, including why it was important to be careful of the sealant and how to make sure there weren't problems later. They were respectful of our home, laying down worksheets on the inside to make sure they wouldn't track dirt or debris (and believe me, not all companies are this thoughtful!) - I was also impressed that they had a sheet specifically for the hardwood area that had microdots underneath for safety and stability; it's a little detail, but it goes with the whole of their thoughtfulness to the overall situation and full work planning.  Their attention to safety overall was A+. They did an excellent job replacing the under-house pipes. After the work, they went back through again with the camera to make sure everything was okay and all the joins were smooth. In the months since, the system has been extensively used and there have been no issues at all! I would 100% recommend Drain Rooter Service!

I called these guys yesterday morning.... Not only was Todd accommodating with fitting me in (to install a faucet and disposal),  but the cost was fair! Drain Rooter plumbing provides exceptional, prompt services at very reasonable prices. I've called them for 3 separate issues. They responded much quicker than I expected and completed the work early and at a very reasonable price. They are a very hard working family owned business and they take tremendous pride in their work. San Jose is full of older homes with multiple prior owners with all sorts of piecemeal fixes and additions. When something goes wrong, you can watch a YouTube video and go to hardware store...you might fix it or you may likely make it worse. Our toilet was slow to drain and a plunger and simple snake didn't help.....I knew I was in trouble. I reached out to Rooter, they were at our house in 45 mins; At 8 pm at night, they tried to professionally snake the toilet, then crawled into our crawl space to identify our sewer lines, climbed on the roof to video inspect our main valve, identified the likely source of the blockage. The next morning, they dug a large trench in our backyard to expose the sewer line, installed a clean out valve, removed the tree roots blocking the line, and cleaned up the trench. My plumbing works great and my backyard actually looks better than before. They did all this in less than 24 hours. Amazing. Next time, I have a plumbing issue big or small, I'm calling them. Tu, Hong, and Todd are the best.

Todd did a great job.  We had a backup for one of our bathrooms and he used his camera to diagnose the problem and then he promptly unblocked the clog.  Then he used his camera again to find the source of the problem and it seems that the root cause has something to do with a new cleanout that my contractor recently installed.  Thanks for going the extra mile for us.

I scheduled an appointment with Drain Rooter Service for the slow drain problem at my bath sink. Todd came over yesterday, he is courteous and arrived on time. He is able to identify it's vent problem, not clogging. Another plumber with good Yelp reviews came last week but unable to figure it out. So it shows Todd knows his stuff very well. I'm surprised he even went extra mile to go up to check vent pipe at roof, and confirmed it's lacking vent pipe for the sink. Todd is professional and honest, I would definitely call Todd again for any plumbing issues in the future.

Todd, Tu and another coworker came out to investigate a horrid (non sewer) smell that would come and go as we used hot water. Another plumbing company had come and didn't discover the problem.  Todd and his team went into our crawl space (not an easy or fun thing to do) and discovered a huge leak that had been pooling up sink and shower water for at least a month.  The guys came back the very next day to put in new drain pipes and soak up the horrid smelling standing water with bags and bags of soil- which required them to shimmy themselves under the house multiple time with multiple huge bags.  The leak is fixed and that horrible smell is gone.

These guys are such hard workers, ethical, respectful, thorough and we recommend them fully!

Great service, attention, good value and flexibility. They answered my questions when I was evaluating vendors to relocate the sewer register. Provided a fair estimate and finished the job satisfactorily. We actually took advantage of their presence and hired them to replace a water heater with a powered vent that was nearing its useful life. Again, a fair estimate and excellent flexibility and scheduling. They used their contacts and got ahold of the new water heater the same day. Job completed successfully.

The main line to my house clogged backing up waste water that overflowed from the shower Sunday late afternoon. After trying using a manual snake and strong acid, I requested thru Yelp for an estimate for Monday service. Of the six companies that responded by late Sunday night, only 2 responded with an estimate. I went with Drain Rooter Service and they scheduled Todd to come at 9 am. Todd came early (THANKS) and did a great job. The price was the estimate and he informed that there is also a 30 day warranty. My tenant is happy with the professionalism and curtesy that Todd displayed. Todd found roots in the line so I will be calling again in the future.

My kitchen sink is clogged and the faucet in my master bedroom sink vibrates with a deafening sound when the hot water is turned on.  I called Todd and he came out immediately to check.  Tu the technician changed the garbage disposal, and the clogging in the kitchen sink was resolved. Tu then went into the crawl space in the foundation to check the vibration issue, suspecting the vibration could be water pepes that were not properly joined.   He spent a long time trying to figure out the issue, and did every remedy he could think of.  The problem persisted.  Tu suspected the water pipes enclosed between the walls might be casuing the vibration, but that could mean breaking the walls to reach the problem area.  Tu apologized profusely for charging me labor for the problem he did not fix, though I assured him it was fair to charge me for his time.

The story did not end here.  Tu left, and to my surprise, he returned.  He was not giving up.  This time he tested a valve under the bathroom sink.  When  he turned the knob tight,  the vibration and horrifying sound stopped magically.  He even spent more time running the dishwasher to make sure the kitchen sink was draining properly.

I am very impressed with the timely response, courtesy and professionalism of Todd and his team.  This 5 star rating is well deserved.

Shower stall drain was clogged with hair, so there was a slow moving drain.  I know what was needed - a shower drain snake and someone who knew how to use it.  These guys answered my Yelp request quickly and gave me a price that was very competitive.  And they called and said could come out about an  hour.  They were actually 5 minutes early.  The shower drain was snaked out and flowing in no time.  $300+ from some companies was ridiculous.  These guys bested those prices and then some.  Fast service, good price, did the job - 5 stars!

I texted Todd yesterday afternoon due to a leak we had in our kitchen sink and we also wanted to replace our faucet. Todd came out the next morning first thing to determine the scope of the work and give us a quote. One of his friendly staff came out an hour later and fixed the problem and installed the new faucet.

Really friendly, extremely quick turnaround, and a very reasonable quote.

I called on Christmas when both my shower drains were having issues draining properly.  I was so surprised when Todd answered the call Christmas morning and agreed to come the next morning 9am.  Todd and his partner arrived 30 minutes early, diagnosed the problem, hydro-jetted the main drain through the roof and the clean out.  They were both professional and communicated clearly about the issue.  I felt they both were honest and professional and will be sure to call them for all my future plumbing needs!  I appreciate their expertise, honesty and efficiency.

Thank you Todd for such a good job. He showed up at 9.30-ish for a 10am appt. We have a bad clog in the kitchen sink that drains into the garage sink. He started with the drain cleaning machine but soon realized that the clog was worse than we expected. Finally he brought out his hydro jet equipment and cleared the clog almost instantly. Todd has helped me out twice.  The first time, I had a block that he solved in no time at all.  The second time, I had a much more severe water leak in front of my house.  This was a highly complex, and required DRS to open up the sidewalk/water-meter to uncover the root problem.  They quickly found the broken pipes, and custom-fit new-and-improved replacement pipes to fix the problem.  All of this hard work was done very professionally, and exactly at the budget estimate that Todd had quoted me from the start.  I would highly recommend Todd and his DRS service.

Yesterday morning I noticed a leak in our kitchen sink and I noticed the garbage disposal is leaking. I tried to open it but it was completely rusted and there was no way to open it. I searched Yelp and requested for service from multiple plumbers. Tedd got back to me in a few minutes and he arrange to check our kitchen before 10am. He showed up at our house with a mask on face. He was completely complying with social distancing guidelines.

He then checked the sink and his diagnosis was to replace the garbage disposer. He offered to pick up one from plumbing supply store and since I had no time to make shopping for the garbage disposal, accepted immediately. He offered a fair price for this job. He got the garbage disposal and came back in an hour. He had to use a big saw to cut the garbage disposal unit and did a fine job installing the new one. He was very professional and gave us good advices how to maintain the pipes and dishwasher drains. I enjoyed using his service and I highly recommend him for any plumbing job.

Tu answered the phone right away, said he would be right over, I texted my address, he came and used this industrial snake on the pipe and fixed the drain. Todd is awesome! I called him yesterday about my clogged shower (the water was going down very slowly) that I tried to snake myself but did not work. I asked Todd if he would be able to stop by (today) at 9am and he said sure thing!

Today - Todd showed up a little before 8:30am and I can appreciate someone who is early! He snaked my bathtub and told me what was wrong in the process. After a few mins, he unclogged my shower and my bathtub was working like it should!!

He explained that, to avoid future issues, I should replace the main line with copper, to which I agreed. Next day, he was here and installed the new copper pipe. I've had them replace both my water heater and a toilet this year. They are fast, friendly, and efficient. When they determined the water heater needed to be replaced, they took me to pick one up. I had a sewer line blockage on a Sunday afternoon. I contacted Drain Rooter via Yelp and got a response in about 15 mins and was able to schedule an appt first thing the next day, Mon morning. Todd showed up a half hour early and was able to clear the blockage in about half an hour.

He was kind enough to provide a video service, free of charge, after clearing the blockage to see if there were any further issues to the sewer line. We saw an issue regarding the the clay pipe connection from the street sewer line to the house cast iron sewer line which would probably cause another blockage if not resolved.

This is the second time I have been very satisfied with Drain Rooter Service.  
The first time was in 2020 when they hydro-jetted my main line to the street, where they cleared roots entering my line.  This time, Tu helped clear my master bathroom sink drain, which was clogged with roots.  He first crawled through the crawl space to see if he he could see where the roots were entering the line.  After not seeing any obvious entry points, he then unclogged the drain using a snake.  I will be calling Todd again in the near future to come back out to do a camera inspection of the lines to determine how extensive the root issue is.  I really appreciated the prompt response, the quality of the work and the reasonable pricing.  Thank you, Todd & Tu!

My kitchen sinks were all backed up last night. After reading some of the positive reviews of the company at midnight, I decided to call Todd first thing in the morning. Todd said he would arrive at the house between 1 and 2, but he and his partner arrived about 20 minutes early, before 1. Todd and his partner went to work right away, they flushed the drain pipe by snaked through the cleanout, and did the hydro jetting, which I thought made lot of sense to do. They completed all the work in about 30 minutes. Todd is very professional, extremely service oriented, no B.S., and his rate is reasonable. I would give him 10 or more stars if Yelp would allow it. When I went looking for a company to take care of replacing one of our toilets, Todd was the first to respond and he provided a very reasonable estimate.  He was also very easy to work with the schedule a visit that worked with my schedule.  On the day of, he showed up a couple minutes early wearing a mask, took off his shoes before entering the house, and proceeded to quickly and efficiently get the job done, doing a nice job of clean-up after he and his colleague were finished.  That already earned him a 5-star review from me.

Fast forward 3 days - I realize that I should have asked him to caulk the base of the newly installed toilet when he installed it, and that my kitchen sink suddenly won't drain - both my fault.  I sent him a message at 7:49am asking if he could come back to take care of the former and provide a quote for the latter.  He responded within 10 minutes and was at my house by 9:45am the same day.  He lowered his price for the sink after seeing that our house has a trap, and finished both jobs within 45 minutes of arriving.  That would have earned him a second 5-star review if that was an option.

Todd lives in the area, is very professional, is fair with his pricing and does good work.  I would recommend him to anybody, and he'll definitely be my first call for future plumbing needs.

Todd has done a great job resolving a sewer concern just now, one year after we hired him last time.

We suspected that sewer water was flowing out of our planter, and we contacted him through Yelp to ask for guidance, as we didn't really witness a leakage on our own. He instructed us to reproduce the problem, and as soon as we were able to reproduce the sewer leakage he arrived at our house within 30 minutes.

It turned out our issue was a combination of a clogged sewer line and a missing cap on a clear out that we don't know actually existed underneath the planter, so that when the flow in the drain is large enough, water gets released from the clear out. He unclogged the drain and then replaced the cap. All was done within an hour.

Clear communication, polite and respectful service, with all the necessary precautions in these post-covid times, even took his shoes off before coming inside! Truly a professional. He told us if he couldn't unclog it he'd charge us nothing! That's confidence in your service I can get behind.

We had a backed up kitchen sink that we gave our best efforts, but Todd made short work of snaking it and did a bit of pipe repair (we were missing a gasket that was causing a leak). What a relief! I called Todd on Sunday afternoon because the toilets and showers were not draining and he showed up about 20 mins later. He gave a free estimate for the work and was up on the roof evaluating the problem, not hesitating to go up or down the ladder as needed on a really hot day (95 degrees). His quote was very reasonable so we decided to go forward and proceed to clear the drains. He found our initial problem was not as much work as he originally quoted and adjusted his price accordingly instead of hiding the true cost of the work. He also gave us the footage of our drain system in case we ever need it in the future.

No BS, he just got right down to helping us fix our issue quickly and affordably. Will definitely be saving his number in my phone for any future issues and would highly recommend Todd!

Todd came and fixed a garage sink clog problem that our handyman couldn't fix the day before (lol).

Check out the picture. He has got lots of tools.
He climbed on top of our roof and in 30 mins fixed the clog issue. Gave us a discount (didn't charge us extra for the water jet even though he quoted us the snake) because he is a nice guy.

Came out within a day of requesting service.  Was not able to fix anything (but were able to do the assessment for free), but gave some feedback which helped me fix it after they left.  (They mentioned using a toilet augur to clean up some calcium / mineral deposits near the toilet line.  That did some marginal help, but the real solution that I later thought of was to use CLR and I increased the tank water level inside the toilet.  Since then, I haven't had any backup problems.

This is my 2nd time calling Drain Rooter Service to perform plumbing work at my house and both times, they exceeded expectations!

The first time was a few months ago where we had a clogged kitchen sink.  I tried snaking it, but failed miserably.  I messaged a bunch of plumbing companies through Yelp and Tony from Drain Rooter responded right away with pricing and availability.  He came over and cleared everything right away with his commercial equipment that I didn't have at home.

The 2nd call out was just a few mins ago.  Now my bathroom sink in the master bedroom was clogged and once again, I tried snaking it myself to no avail.  I gave up after an hours worth of troubleshooting and went back through my Yelp messages looking for Tony's info.  I remembered that Tony was awesome so I decided to message him back again.

Within minutes, he called me and gave me a few different options for availability.  He came by within the hour and worked his magic again.  My bathroom sink has been cleared and I will not shop around for a plumber ever again.  Tony's number has been saved and he'll be my go to guy every time for any future plumbing issue!

I contacted Todd on a Saturday and he was here in 15 minutes! Yes, he was doing another job in the neighborhood, but he was an exceptionally clear communicator and had no problem finding my place. (I live in a 40 building condo complex). He got out of his truck with protective gear already on and kept safe social distancing standards the entire time.

I have now called on Todd from DRS to service my main line 3 times. Todd has always arrived in a timely manner, been friendly and very knowledgeable about his craft. He has given me lots of tips to avoid having a clogged line(my family doesn't listen)  and he has been right on with what he thinks is the issue.  He ran the tests then backed it up with facts. He had to run the camera down the line to see what he already knew was roots in the city's portion of the clay pipe just passed what I am responsible for. Even came out and seen what was happing and said I did not need him and called the city for me to come take care of it for free. The guys knows his stuff and seems to be a honest tradesman. I recommend him to my friends and neighbors and they have been very satisfied with his workmanship.

Came in to find the toilet hadn't flushed completely. Needless to say, we had a backup at the sidewalk. Had this problem years ago so I bought my own Roto. Got 25' out and it wouldn't budge.  Looked up a plumber on Yelp and found Drain Rooter Service.  Good reviews.  Called and picked up in two rings.  Said he'd be here in 2 hours.  Was here in an hour.  Super nice, super clean, asked me questions which I was able to answer. He knew exactly what was causing the problem.  Gave me a quote and ten minutes later the drain is clear.  Cleaned up and left without a trace.

Todd came to my house within 15 minutes of my phone call and got right to work on my sewer line blockage. He scoped it and showed me where it was and got his snake in action. It was very tough because of my old plumbing that had some odd twists and turns. He was, however able to get it cleared within an hour and even showed me the clean running drain at the point of blockage through his video scope. We have not used a plumber in may years, but needed one twice in exactly a month! This time Todd sent his super nice colleague Tu to repair/replace/install a leaking kitchen faucet for us. Due to position of the sink, it was a very tight fit and extremely difficult to work in the available space. Tu was determined to accomplish the task, and did so with competence and a great attitude. We really appreciated the help with a project we might well have been able to accomplish ourselves a decade or so ago but for which we now definitely needed the help. Called Todd to provide plumbing inspection for new house purchased. Requested him to pls let me know where all pipes needed to be replaced. He did inspection and took $150 and said that  plumbing required for the whole 2 stories and it costs $10K. I asked, does whole house need plumbing and he confirmed it costs no less than above price. I was not convinced as the seller had told some plumbing was replaced recently. So, i hired another plumber and did inspection to find out that 2nd floor related pipes were copper pipes   in good condition and does not need any replacement. And they eventually charged  4K for replacing the old pipes. I felt very cheated by Todd's dishonest quote. The one star is for providing input that there was misalignment wrt drainage connection.

Reply: I'm not worried about the Inspection money you charged but the Report you provided. You could have simply provided HONEST opinion that we don't have install any pipes on the second as it copper pipes and was in a great condition.

Wow, Todd was a godsend! It was the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving and around 8pm our toilet clogged, and plunging it made the dirty water come out through the bathtubs in our house, only aggravating things. We called around for an emergency plumber but most places were overbooked til morning or wanted to charge a fee before even knowing what the issue was or knowing whether they'd be able to solve it. When I called Todd, his energy was completely different - he was interested in figuring out how he could access the sewage to let us know if he could even help us at all. He seemed very knowledgeable and creative with his problem solving. Since we didn't have two-way sewage access, he came up with a solution of using a hyrdrojett from the roof. He was on the scene within 20 minutes, tackled the problem and fixed what could've been a much larger problem come Thanksgiving day. Highly recommend!! Honest work and reasonably priced. After two attempts to snake the pipe to remove a stubborn, deep clog (first by me, and then by another plumber), we called Todd. Accessing the pipe from one of the roof vents, Todd and Tu were able to clear the clog using a hydro-jet system. Excellent work, and good as new!

Todd is truly amazing and an honest professional. I  unfortunately discovered a leak in our faucet under the kitchen and called Todd to take a look. Drain Rooter Service was everything I could possibly ask for out of a rooter. Fair prices, prompt response time, transparency about the cause and potential solutions to my problem, and service that made me feel like I was his only client of the day. After a clogged line, Todd went above and beyond to clean out my pipes and was extremely transparent in letting me see what was causing my problem (roots). We have a 1930's Willow Glen house that has drain blockages every few years.  Our kitchen blocked today and my usual method of forcing my yard hose 15-20 feet up the clean out did not work.  Todd responded within a half hour, snaked the drain pipe through to the outside main, and quickly fixed the problem.  He was polite, knowledgeable and made a recommendation that we hydro jet the drain pipes next time we have a problem.  I will use them for that when needed.

I have used them two times since I have found them here.

First time was cleaning my kitchen drain pipe. Almost all home owners would not clean it until there was a problem. If you just purchase an old home, then I recommend you call them over to clean your drains for you.

I tried all the over-the-counter drain cleaning solutions, baking soda and vinegar and a pot of boiling water, but none of them worked when draining was slow. After Todd came by on time as scheduled, he asked me about the problem, then he checked methodically. He patiently explained to me what he was doing and he recommended the power clean the drain at the end. I could see all the calcium deposits that came out of the drain cleanout. I saw a bag load of these deposits after they had picked up afterward. It turned out the harder the water from the municipal district, the more calcium deposit you will see in your drainage pipes.

Because of Todd and his team's professionalism, I decided to call them back to change my main water faucet to a modern lever kind. They completed the job to my satisfaction with the same professionalism.

Both times, their prices were reasonable; they are very friendly, on-time and stand behind their jobs to complete to your satisfaction.

I will call them again for my future plumbing need.

My washing machine backed up through my toilet on the rinse cycle. Called Todd and he recommended i try a few things, which all worked but the toilet was running slow. Todd said he'd be out in an hour...20 minutes later he was at my door! Turns out the flapper on the main line was malfunctioning. Todd cleared iti and also addressed a few other odds and ends i had, all in about 30 minutes.

He explained everything he was doing and made sure i understood what he was doing, why, and how much it would cost. All very clear and very helpful with tips for how to check on things in the future. We called Drain Rooter service on Sunday night when we discovered that our toilets and drains were clogged. They were very responsive, polite and offered to come Monday morning and quoted a very reasonable fee (lowest quote we received) to snake out our drains. The next day morning they came in a few minutes before the scheduled time, quickly & efficiently finished the job and departed. AMAZING!! Todd definitely has our business FOR LIFE! He checked all the boxes necessary when needing a professional immediately - polite, friendly, respectful, efficient and clear communication. From the time I called at 8:00pm, he was done in about an hour. I was calling around in a panic because sewage was in the tub and a toilet was threatening to overflow.

Todd was great on the phone, asked questions and explained what was happening to someone who has no idea about plumbing. We had a sewage blockage!! I appreciated his patience and friendliness on the phone. He also added he doesn't have overnight rates - GREAT! He asked me to text him my address and he was at the door in no time. It's Sunday and I had a problem with my toilet flushing.
I actually have a home warranty but they don't even get

We had a clogged drain from the kitchen to the laundry drain. If I ran the water in the kitchen it would overflow the pipe that the laundry drain hose goes into. It turned out that I had somehow dropped a plastic toilet freshener hook (the ones that hook on the side of the toilet bowl to make it smell like fruit or whatever), and there it was stuck in the hole. If you're skimming reviews, then then I'll just recommend you give Drain Rooter Service a call. If you're like me, you'll be delighted you did.

Backstory - Last night at 7 PM (of course, a couple hours after sunset this time of year), my son emerges from his shower saying, Dad, the water is not draining in my shower. As you can imagine, that's something we never want to hear. But, there it was. After getting numerous towels in place to soak up the water in two back-to-back bathrooms (thankfully, it was shower water, not poo water), it was time to get someone out to my house quickly to get the sewer line flowing again.

I looked back a a previous review I did in 2018 for a drain service I recall being happy with. I called them, but I got a voicemail indicating they had closed for the day - just an hour before. With this situation being what it was, waiting until the morning in the hopes of getting into the service schedule wasn't going to work.

So, I began looking through reviews. I quickly came across Drain Rooter Service, and I liked the reviews I was reading. I saw that they were open until 9 PM, so I gave them a call at about 7:15 PM expecting to have to leave a message. To my surprise, Todd answered the phone and asked me how he could help. As it turns out, he was just finishing another service appointment, and he asked me to text him my address. I did, and he was at my house within 25-mins. That was a Wow!

Todd quickly diagnosed the problem, and offered to power-snake my main sewer-line for a reasonable price. I was glad to hear he had a power-snake because the results of a previous hydro-jet service had only lasted two-weeks. Then, I had to pay a different service to do it again using a power-snake.

And, Todd's power-snake has a second 25-ft section that he added so he can clear-out blockages that are a little farther out than 25-ft. His power-snake had to go out there beyond the first 25-ft to clear-out the blockage. In short order, the extended snake had the backed-up sewer water flowing smoothly again. We tested with a couple toilet flushes, and all was good.

Wrapping it all up, these are the Positives:
1. Todd answered when I called.
2. He understood the urgency of the situation.
3. He showed up in less than 1/2-hr of being called.
4. He uses an extra-long power-snake to break-up blockages beyond the 25-ft range.
5. His service fee was quite reasonable.
6. He offers a 30-day warranty.
7. He was pleasant and easy to talk with.

Negatives: None.

All in all, Todd saved the evening, and he made me look like a hero to my family. Drain Rooter Service is my new go-to service for urgent sewer-line problems. I highly recommend Drain Rooter Service. Give them a try.

Our main sewer line became blocked causing raw sewage to back up onto our shower floor (can you imagine a plumbing problem more disgusting and urgent than that?) and Todd answered our call in the evening and agreed to come over immediately. While he was on his way over we found out that our contractor already hired someone to take a look. I requested a quote through yelp, Todd responded quickly. I had noticed that there was a leak underneath my house in the crawl space. I figured it was a sewage pipe and that I probably needed to replace the line. I requested a couple quotes on yelp. Todd came over and took a look underneath the house and told me that the entire sewage line needs to get replaced since it's a really old system. I figure this would be the case. Instead of Todd asking if I wanted to get the job done he simply stated that I needed to save up because it would be expensive. I know that Todd! That's why I was calling plumbers, to get the problem fixed. You can't assume someone doesn't have the money and tell them to save up. I know you probably meant no harm by it and you were actually trying to help, but that was a bit offensive. I am getting my sewage lines replaced, but it will be with another company.

We came to visit my mom for a week and just prior to our arrival, my poor mom realized that her sewer line was backed up. She felt horrible and it was too late to call anyone. I requested a quote through Yelp and got an email back within 10 minutes with an estimate for the repair as well as availability, which was the same day.  He came to the house about an hour later as agreed upon and resolved our issue quickly.  He quoted a price for snaking the drain lines (which is what I thought I needed), but the repair was much simpler than that so basically he just asked for gas money, despite my insistence I would pay him fully for his time.

He walked me through what I would need to do if we were to encounter the issue again, and throughout the whole time his demeanor was super friendly.  I kind of wish I had a bigger job for him to do.  Thanks Todd!

Todd came out and fixed the drain pipes that service my washing machine and kitchen sink. He showed up promptly, wearing PPE (because covid) and took off his shoes before entering my house. He quickly assessed the problem, snaking almost 75 feet of my old pipes and fixed my problem in under an hour. I love using small business owners like Todd, as you can tell they take pride in their business. On top of that Todd warranties his repair for 30 days and will come fix free of charge if the issues pop up again.

He also will not charge for a repair if he cannot fix it.

GLOWING REVIEW ALERT! Our business has been using the same three different plumbers for years, but every time we contact them, it's a battle. Incorrect diagnoses, jobs done incorrectly, final cost VERY different from original quote. I was nervous about branching out, but ended up very impressed!

Todd replied super fast to my yelp message, and sent Paul out right away to give us a consultation. Paul knew what the issue was within two minutes, explained it simply, and gave us two options (along with what he thought was the option that would give us the most peace of mind). The next morning, Paul and Todd worked together and replaced our toilet with a new one in record time! They are both super friendly and nice to have around lol! AND the reasonable estimate ended up being the final cost! AND Todd tried to help clean up more than necessary (I insisted that he didn't need to, there was almost no mess at all!)

Todd is amazing.  He was very flexible with his schedule and in fact came early.  Not a norm these days.  

He examine my current toilet and informed me where exactly are the leaks and recommended me to replace the toilet because of its age and also to prevent future issues.

He went with me to grab a new toilet at Lowe's and we brought it back to the house and he did the installation.  Upon completion he thoroughly tested his work and discovered a defect in the toilet.  He then go about uninstalling everything and went with me back to Lowe's to do an exchange.  He bared with me at Lowe's giving me the run around and me complaining to them about the situation.

After the grunt, we had the defective part replaced, went back to the house to do the reinstall.

All in all everything worked out.  Todd was very personable and was awesome.

I will definitely reach out to Todd for future plumbing needs.

The main sewer line was clogged by the root. Called Todd for help who came to our place within an hour. He flushed the pipeline with his professional tools, making it running again within minutes. He did not use the snake which might damage the pipe further as he explained. He even ran the camera in the pipeline to help me find where the root was (for free!). I noticed a leak in my garage ceiling and realized it's from the sink in the second floor bathroom. I called a few plumbers and most of them said they will charge me to come and look at issue for giving me a quote. Then luckily I called Todd, he said he would swing by to check what the issue is and give me a quote for free. He was very thorough and clear in what the problem was. Problem: Our kitchen sink drain backed up after having carrot and potatoe peelings run through the garbage disposal.  The sink would not drain.

Result:
A call this morning was answered immediately with an early morning appointment.  The solution was to use high-pressure to clean the drain line.  It removed a large blockage of grease, food bits, etc.  

The work was done quickly and professionally with clear guidance on the work and cost.

I called Todd last night round 8:20pm, just wondering if he could give me a quote. Beyond my expectations, he said he could come over immediately after he heard about I had a garage sink clog problem. Todd was amazing! He responded to my request for a quote in record time. We talked by phone and he was pretty sure what the problem was. He arrived when he said he would and was very professional. Oh my goodness! If you're reading Yelp reviews contemplating which plumber to go with, always go with Todd! We had a sewage backup on a Sunday morning. I requested a quote from Yelp with Drain Rooter Service and received a reply with a reasonable quote quite promptly. Long story short, Todd went above and beyond with service! Running the snake through the line from inside the house wasn't enough, so he brought the camera out to find the problem, and mapped out where the sewer pipe ran through the front of the house. Then he cleared out the line from the outside. Anyway, with all the work he did (and a lot of great advice with what we could do ourselves to save money and headache), he ended up just charging us the original quote! He is beyond honest! Any other plumber would have charged us for every item and justly so. I know I will be getting in touch with Todd for our plumbing needs and strongly recommend his service! You won't regret it!

Todd has been doing my plumbing for over a year now - he's been out to help me at least 4 times (my pipes are old and corroded, my daughter keeps flushing wipes, and that's the reason he has to keep coming back - not because he's not fixing the problem : ) ).

He is super responsive via text, always shows up on time or early, and is flexible in offering different appointment times.

Todd has educated me about the state of my old pipes on an ongoing basis. After repeated clogs kept him coming out, he recommended installing a front yard clean out drain which was an upfront investment, but now means that it's easier (and cheaper) for him to do future clean outs.  One of those was today. We had a long discussion about various options, and he did not recommend I have him do a more expensive job that was recommended by another plumber, because it would not fully fix my ongoing problems. He is honest with his recommendations, and he spends time discussing pros and cons with me, even when a bigger job would earn him more money and he tells me why I shouldn't rush to do it.

On one occasion, he needed to refer out a small project because he was booked and thought I should get it done ASAP. I respect that because he clearly cares about the outcome and customer satisfaction rather than insisting I wait until he is free to get the job himself.

I will keep using Todd as long as my pipes have problems!

I have Todd come out to fix 2 different problems. He gave me a competitive quote for replacing a kitchen faucet and when he arrived he found out it is one with motion sensor. He said it should cost more but he honored the earlier quote. The second job was to replace some leaking valves.

Within 2 hours of requesting a quote on Yelp, Todd and his crew were at my door to provide an estimate.  Todd was so quick that by time he arrived I had only received one other quote and was in touch with 2 other companies.  Since Todd's quote sounded fair (and echoed other Yelp reviews that his rate was reasonable) I decided stop looking any further and gave him the go-ahead to clean out my backed-up main line.  I couldn't be happier with that decision.  He and his colleague worked very efficiently, were done within 10 minutes, and cleaned up the area when they were done.   I would definitely recommend Todd to anyone in need of rooter service.

On Sunday afternoon, my bathtub faucet stopped diverting to the shower. After being ghosted by the first company I contacted on Sunday and having no luck getting an appointment with the 2nd one on Monday, I found Drain Rooter Service. I unfortunately did not catch his name but when I called he was willing to come right away, however I was at work so I requested an afternoon appointment. He said he could come at 3:30. He arrived before I did! The problem was fixed (after he had to make a trip to Lowe's for a new faucet, mine was very old) and I'm a happy customer. We moved into our house a year ago and had no idea what the state of the sewer pipes were like. We noticed water from our kitchen sink pouring our of the clearout/overflow outside of the house near the sink. However, nothing else was backed up so a bit of an unusual problem. This was Monday evening.
Gave Todd a call Tuesday morning and he came by on Tuesday afternoon. He tried snaking it which did improve the drainage, but he did some follow up testing which involved sending a lot of water down the drain. Sure enough, it started backing up again.
Todd recommended a hydro jet and explained the snaking probably only opened a small hole in the blockage - enough to allow draining over time, but not really clearing all of the blockage. He said his policy was no drain, no charge so he would charge only for the hydro jet and not the snaking he'd already done.
We agreed and boy, did the hydro jet clear out a lot of stuff!  Mostly calcium build up according to Todd.  After the hydro jet, Todd performed more tests and this time all the water drained out of the kitchen sink quickly and none out of the clearout/overflow.
We were extremely pleased with Todd's professionalism and thoroughness. We would definitely use Drain Rooter Service again.

We had a leaking kitchen faucet and I sent a request via Yelp, and Todd responded quickly and gave me a fair quote. He came in the next day, on time and tried his best to avoid replacing the faucet so I could save money, but the faucet was broken, indeed. He then changed the faucet, and valves (which was not part of his original quote, but did it anyway for no extra charge).

Later, we noticed that we wanted the faucet to be a bit more towards one direction and I asked Todd if he could come down and adjust it for me. He came as soon as he could the next day and adjusted it for no charge as well. I highly recommend Todd!

Had a main drain clog and Todd came to the rescue. It was late in the evening and I was able to contract Todd, who's helped me out with many plumbing issues before. He made it out that night within 30 mins and was able to clear the main drain that night. He mentioned that there was most likely still issues so he ran a camera and sure enough we had some root issues. My house didn't have a clean out so he installed one the next day for me so future services will be much easier and save money. I didn't even have to be around. Very professional and fair pricing. I've shopped around and his pricing is very reasonable. He's my goto guy for plumbing and I highly recommend him.

Very happy!! Sent out a request for quote on installing new garbage disposal to replace leaky one. Todd arrived within the hour. He explained the leak was actually from the dishwasher hose attached to the garbage disposal. After tightening the metal fastener there was no more leaking. He also emptied the trap underneath the bathroom sink that would periodically clog completely. Todd was very professional. Thank you so much.

Our toilet was flooding and shower was flooding. We tried to do it ourselves, but that wasn't helping. We had to call drain rooter service. I'm so glad we came across this one and the owner named Thai. He was awesome and very welcoming. He snaked our toilet/shower and did a jet cleaning from the roof and he also was able to help me with problems with my toilet on how it was taking about 2 minutes to after flushing for the water to fill the tank to be able to flush again.  Thai also guided me on changing the tank filter and valve. Such an awesome company and guy to help me out and also help me save money. Our sewage line had backed up and waste water was constantly seeping into my front yard whenever we used the sink, flushed a toilet, turned on the shower, etc. After a quick google search, I found Drain Rooter Service and Todd picked up immediately and said he could come out in an hour. Todd (Tai) Nguyen and his sidekick, Tom, came today, Sunday, on time as scheduled, after I reached out to them through Yelp. They took their shoes off outside the door out of respect, and they not only took a look at the drain, but before they did anything, they looked at what was happening underneath, access through the downstairs closet, to make sure I had the full picture and they looked at all the options. They then snaked the drain, twice, sent working so took a deeper look and opened the drain and took out the clog. They were thorough and kind. They did the work, the right way, even though it took longer than anticipated, and then they offered me a deal on really correcting the issue long-term, a permanent fix, that was incredibly reasonable. I won't use anyone else kobing forward. They deserve these 5 stars.

Our bathroom was backed up and overflowing. Found Drain Rooter on Yelp, called them and the owner, Todd, came out within a couple hours on a Sunday night. He assessed the problem and alleviated the immediate problem. But it was clear we had a more serious issue and he came the next day to install a clean-out and then it turned out that we had a problem in the street. He also came back the next day and helped us through the process with the city. Nothing but good things to say. Wish everyone were so capable and helpful.

Our sink clogged up and we need to use the sink everyday. It's so critical in our business. Todd's the man. Woke up very early Sunday morning to a leaking bathroom sink pipe that had left a wet mess under the sink.  Called Todd up, and he was here in a couple of hours (still early on a Sunday morning!!!). Had the pipe fixed in a jiffy, and took care of a couple of other minor things while he was at it. Gave us some great advice about how to take care of things like this in the future. As a new home owner getting used to these things, finding someone so reliable, honest, reasonably priced and efficient is awesome. We'll be calling him for all our future plumbing needs.

Todd was awesome! Responded to my quote within 5 minutes and this was pretty late at night. Was able to come the next morning to help me unclog my sink. He had to actually go on the roof to unclog it rather than just snake the sink. He didnt charge me extra. After he finished, he explained it was a temporary solution and that the pipes under my house actually should he replaced. I appreciate the honesty and insight. Our laundry tub drain backed up with disgusting foul water. We didn't dare run the washing machine as it backed the tub up even worse. Called Drain Rooter Service, Todd answered and said he'd be right over as soon as he finished the job he was on. Within an hour he notified me he was on the way. He immediately determined the problem was the kitchen's clogged overflow going to the laundry sink. He snaked out the kitchen clean-out, ran the water wide open at the kitchen and laundry sink to show how well they are draining now. Todd showed up quickly and did the assessment for my clogged sink. He tried clearing the blockage through the cleanout first but the cap was stuck and corroded.  He went on the roof and used a water pressure/snake device to clear the clog.  Done in 15 minutes. Good guy to work with.

It is great to have  very good service from your business. Im running to a kitchen clogged in the evening time, called many other plumbing company but no one cant come and help. Todd was extremely helpful!!!  I had a simple fix for my faucet replacement, and was prepared to pay him for his services. Instead of taking my money for an easy fix, Todd asked for me to send him pictures. He then asked me to call him. I called him and he explained how to do it over the phone. Got a response from Todd within minutes of requesting a quote and he was able to come later the same evening. Kitchen pipe was clogged with buildup and besides just snaking the pipe, Todd was able to clean out the buildup using a high pressure stream and explain to me what the issue was. Really good work.  Todd has done a couple of jobs for us - unclogging the pipe from our house to the street and installing a cleanout, and repairing a leaking toilet.  For the first job, he came out on a Friday late afternoon and worked on the job until late evening getting our toilets and sinks usable (they'd been badly blocked), then he came out the next morning to install a cleanout.  Superior service and super responsive and very tidy and clean work.  He also solved a somewhat tricky leak from one of our toilets.  He's good!

My shower faucet handle started leaking badly on a Sunday.  Called these guys in the afternoon and was able to get an appointment in 2 hours.  Johnny came by and replaced the old faucet cartridge quickly.  No more leaks, looks great.  Will use this company again for any plumbing issues I have.  They're punctual and do solid work.
