Submitted service request via yelp which stated my zip code and city (Gilroy). They promptly replied with a next day appointment option and I accepted. The appointment was at 8am and by 8:15 noone had come. Received a phone call a few minutes later and they said they couldn't find my address, I walked them through finding us (no mistake on my end with address) and they said okay we will be there at 10am. 30 minutes later they call back and say sorry you're too far away, we're not coming at all.
Very disappointed, they should have never scheduled the appointment if they didn't want to come to Gilroy. They had my address from the beginning.

I received a notification of excessive water use and potential leak via email and text. Checked and observed for a few days and, sure enough, the amount of water used was triple the average we normally see. After checking the house and ruling out the sprinkler system, I suspected an underground leak in the pool plumbing.
Contacted the folks at The Leak Detection Company and from the first interaction on the phone I was impressed by the responsiveness and professionalism exhibited by this company.
After setting the appointment, they showed up right on time, brought some sophisticated equipment and took the time to explain everything they intended to do and how this equipment detects leaks. After performing their magic, they located the problem area and offered several solutions. I took them on the offer to fix the leak, which they did, demonstrating excellent knowledge of their trait.
More importantly, these are really nice people that take pride in what they do. They are very reasonably priced and truly care, which is something we do not see very often these days. If I ever need such services in the future, The Leak Detection Company will be my Go To company.

Mike and his guys did several jobs at my house over the last year including a partial repipe, new drains, and some work on gas lines. In each case there was great communication from start to finish, a very fair price, and the work was all top notch. So much so that other contractors that have been to my house commented on how good the work looked.

Awesome job.  Came out within an hour of my call to fix a blocked drain.  Identified some corroded pipes (even though the house is relatively new) and changed those for me too.

The cost was very reasonable. My experience with  plumbers in the past has tended to leave me feeling like I have been taken for a ride.  

Not this time.  I would not hesitate to use Briscoe again.

I recently called this company to see if they would fix my water heater.  I was told he doesn't do jobs in Canada Cove where I live!  Why?  I'm only 2 miles away!

Nick has done previous work at my house before.  The first time which was at least 5 years ago we had a sink in one of our bathrooms that needed to be hooked up, another time about a year ago we needed the shower knob replaced and most recently our water heater needed to be replaced.  What I like about Nick is he always comes out to see what needs to be done, informs us & then comes back the next day to get the job done.  He is very quick, efficient and most importantly honest.  We got other quotes from other plumbing companies regarding the water heater and they were at least $100 to $300 dollars more than what Nick quoted us.  We never have had any issues with the work he has done.  He is definitely my go to guy when I need any plumbing work done.

Excellent service by Eliel and Jose! Both were very professional and efficient. Unclogged the washer drain pipe in a swift and gave recommendations to replace old copper pipes and corroded shutoff valve.

Once again Steve came to the rescue fixing my major leak the very next day after calling him.  He is easy to get in touch with and returns calls quickly. I appreciate his concern for using good quality parts. Now I just text  him a photo of the problem  and he arrives with the materials I need on his truck - not wasting my time and money running around town looking for parts.

What a pleasant surprise. Called and within an hour and half, Luis arrived with a hello and there to help. He immediately diagnosed my problem with my sink and fixed it with parts in his truck. I had a second problem with the garbage disposal and solved that in minutes. The best surprise is that the service was at a fair price. Thank you.

They were very responsive. Came the same day, and brought everything with them to conduct the repair. Finished the job quickly and proficiently.

The estimator was very good - complete description of everything to be done and great at answering my many questions. They scheduled things perfectly - all piping done in one day with minimal time without water. They were clean and efficient. The inspection the next day went off without a hitch. The following day, they came back to do the drywall repairs and were great.  
However, when they finished the repiping, the hall bath sink was spraying water everywhere - they had misplaced the aerator and didn't replace it. The kitchen sink was the same. So, they came back to fix those and weren't able to - they said that the problem was the new water pressure was so much that my older faucets probably needed to be replaced. I could buy that on the kitchen one but not the bathroom one, but we were leaving for a week and I figured I'd deal with it when we returned.
Unfortunately, when we returned it was to a minor flood in the kitchen. They had not hooked up the dishwasher correctly and so there was water under it, under the sink and in front of the sink causing the hardwood floors to curl.  I turned off the water and called in a plumber who fixed that problem as well as the kitchen faucet, and bathroom faucet.  
I contacted them and asked them to cover a portion of that repair. Two weeks ago they agreed but no check in spite of multiple requests.   I also asked them to send me a final invoice as I want that for my tax records and I have yet to receive one.
I would have loved to give them a 5 star rating, but between the flood and the lack of follow through, I just can't.

Water was leaking from the drain pipe. Called 9 am and he came around 12 noon as he said. The heater was 13 years old so decided to replace. He finished before 1:30 pm. Great job. Highly recommend!

When I got to the garage this morning, our water heater started leaking...I found this company on Thumbtack and they offered to come on the same day to fix it! He also provides a quote right away, very straightforward and transparent pricing. After quoting a few others we chose them because they offer the most reasonable price. Oleskii definitely knows his stuff - he told us the problem right away, the material cost, and overall itemized cost. All very clear and specific. He got the job done with no issue. Def highly recommended!

I asked for an estimate on repairs for my sewer line as another company had estimated two repairs total close to $10,000.
William, the business owner, also the one on the appointment and communication end, was very responsive. Carlos came to the appointment.
He performed the video viewing of the line. He listen to the water flushing coming from inside the house. He saw root invasion of the sewer line near the clean out area.
As I had already had anther company that did snaking and video inspection, Carlos thought it was an incomplete job they did. He pulled out about 10 roots! Their company will make sure the roots were cleared after the snaking.
He did not think I need the repairs that were suggested, I only need to do regular maintenance every 1-2 year with video viewing and snaking. They will monitor the roots invasion.
I appreciate that he waived the camera viewing fee as he was delayed by the previous job.
Their fees tend to be lower, with family business and lowered overhead.
Carlos' recommendation is a big relief for me.

Our water heater broke and I called SJ Plumbing.  Luis came out to take a look at it and gave us an estimate. He is very knowledgeable was able to clearly explain everything. He came off as a very honest man. He gave us 2 options: fix water heater which would be less costly or replace water heater. He did not pressure us into replacing and he did not try to upsell us, which we appreciated.  

We decided to replace the heater. Luis went out to get a brand new one--Bradford White, the highest quality brand.  The water heater is in the basement, so Luis and his partner laid out plastic and pads on our beige carpet and cleaned everything up afterwards.  He also was very willing to take a look at other small plumbing issues without charging us.  Though nothing had to be fixed because it was all functioning, he gave us advice and tips on taking care of it.  He took his time with us and was patient.

Great customer service. Honest man. He will become our household go-to plumber. Thanks Luis!

These guys are great, very honest and professional. Fixed my problem quickly on a Saturday at a fair price. I would most definitely call them again. Amazing service.

I had a clog that was supposedly fixed by another well-known plumber in town but when I came back from vacation, my toilet was clogged again. The plumber would not honor their guarantee so I had to call George Allen.
2 guys came and they wanted to go to the crawl hole to see how the pipes are laid to determine where they would put the rooter machine. They spent 15 minutes doing this and decided to forgo the crawl hole. They then pulled out the toilet to snake from there. They found a clog about 20 ft away that the other plumber did not clear.
I also asked them to snake out some roots at the clean out near the street. They did all those within an hour and didn't charge extra for the new wax seal for re-installing the toilet.

ETA: My kitchen sink seems to have a clog, no problem, George Allen came back to snake it out again, at NO charge. They are now my go to plumbers although their prices are a bit higher. They guarantee their work.

I had a great experience with Rocky's Plumbing and Rooter.  A previous company had left me in a terrible situation and unhooked my hot water tank, leaving me with no heat. Rocky's came out and diagnosed the problem again, got my heat started and made a follow up appointment to do minor repairs. I am with American Home Shield and he worked with them to get my water heater working but didn't try to upsell me on a costly replacement when it wasn't needed.  He advised me on what to look for and when it would need to be replaced.  I will definitely be calling Rocky's Plumbing and Rooter for all of my future plumbing needs.  I found them easy to work with, reliable and quick to respond, plus great service at excellent prices.  And very efficient at working with my home warranty coverage which is most important since that's what I'm paying for to not have these costly repairs.
