Our 20+ year old Lennox HVAC control board got malfunctioned and stopped cooling. Got technicians from different parties came over for a repair all to no avail. Quoted FUSE for a whole HVAC replacement, including asbestos removal, ductwork replacement, replacing and moving furnace to attic, and condenser replacement. Dennis came to the field and did his study, gave me a quote the same day which is a list of options with different parts and prices that I can choose from. The price is about average among all quotes but the details of the estimates beat other parties and I was sold.

Installer Tilek with his helper was assigned with this project. The installation was done in 5 days. They came 8-9am every day, we would do a brief talk with Tilek telling me how's everything and what's the plan for the day, they would start working till 6-7pm with a short break at noon for an in-van lunch. The whole installation went smoothly, my wife and I both worked at home most of the time and felt little to no disturbing.

While we were happy enjoying our new HVAC system, neighbor complained about the noise of our new condenser(Bryant Preferred compact) which facing our shared fences and is 10ft far to neighbor's room. Tilek helped to insert rubber pads between the condenser feet and pad also put on sound blanket to the compressor. Decibel level came down from 76 dB(A) to 68 dB(A) which is not bad however the neighbor can still feel the low hum/vortex. We came to the conclusion that it's not noise level but resonance. To solve it, unfortunately, I'd have to either relocate the condenser or replace it. I eventually replaced it with a Carrier variable-speed heat pump unit which they carry and works with the newly installed furnace and ductwork, part of the pipes/wires has to be replaced though. It costed me a few thousand more for the labor, price difference of the two condensers, and the pips/wires that have to be replaced. Tilek helped to ask for me a discount of a few hundred which wasn't much but was definitely a mitigation and made me feel better. He also did the installation in one day and postponed my payment for a few days for me to make sure it could indeed solve the resonance issue. It turned out worked well.

Maybe I'm sensitive but I was bothered by the burning odor from the vents in the first few seconds every time when the fan starts to run, until Tilek managed to figure out and re-wired the UV lamps which installed together with the new furnace and solved this issue for me.

Appreciate Tilek and his helper for their hard work, especially when it's 90+ degree on the attic which could easily make people get heat stroke, also I'm impressed on how approachable and how a breeze it is to communicate with him, and how receptive and responsive he is to solve all the issues, although there were back and forth, I couldn't be happier with the final outcome.

The Coastside has lots of creative plumbing and I get the impression that Rich has seen some things in his career...  For our creatively-plumbed house, he has always clearly laid out our options, whether it's to fix what's there or to replace it.

Nick is so nice and professional. He fixed my toilet super fast and it is working better then it ever has!!! For now on, I will be calling him for all my plumbing needs. He is a diamond in the rough.

He installed a faucet for nearly $200 plus. Three months later it is seriously leaking so we turned off the water and called him.  He came and said their was no leak, and any issue was the faucet itself !! Don't think he bothered to turn the water was on. Called him repeatedly, left messages and even offered a little money to come fix it, even though it was brand new, from Costco, and was only installed  three months ago. Very disappointed! Davis Plumbing is a business you can count on, while a simple concept, it's easier said than done.

Steve, the owner is a capable, responsive and reliable businessman. They took care of a small project with care and a high level of competence.  The price was lower than his phone estimate.

Company does good work. Responsive, fast, respectful and reasonably priced. We had Kevin at our home and him and his partner did a nice job.  Diagnosed the problem, worked diligently to fix it and cleaned up after themselves. ensured I didn't have any more questions and explained warranty and further maintenance. we will have them out again if something happens. They also had to come to our home during the pandemic and they exercised all the proper precautions. Many thanks

OMG, Alex was amazing! I called three plumbing companies, because I had several jobs around the house that needed doing. I was afraid it was going to be expensive, and I wanted to get several quotes. The first company wouldn't come out to look, but gave me a base price of $600 based on my description of the jobs, saying that it could be a lot more than that and would take a minimum of two to three hours. The second company still hasn't called back.

Alex was out here two hours or less after I called and took care of all of the jobs in half an hour. Even better, he actually showed me how I could fix one of the problems by myself. And best of all, the price was way less than what the first dude had quoted me. I AM SOLD ON COMMANDO PLUMBING, and especially on Alex!!

Unfortunately, I had to hire another plumber to finish the job. Summary of Advanced Repipe Specialist is below:

PROS:
* They worked really hard
* Great sheet rock work
* No leaks
* All new fixtures (look and work great)
* Fast and friendly quoting; Bill was very knowledgeable and efficient

CONS:
* They abandoned the job:
 - I had to hire a new plumber after 10 months of no work
 - I had to spend an extra $3,000 to finish the job
* They promised 1-2 day max to complete the first phase of plumbing work, but it took 4 days. That was difficult because I had only scheduled two days off work to keep the house open for them to work there.
* They left trash (excess pipes, pieces) under the house. It took me about two hours of crawling under the house to clean it up, which was required to pass inspection.
* Pipes were not secured correctly. Pipes fell down after plumbers left with no willingness to fix it. Another plumber was required to fix it and pass inspection.
* Too much up-selling, when working on plumbing
* The contract says the plumber will be there for inspections, but they did not show up.

Adrian/Dependable Water Heaters is an amazing person and a very well informed and experienced professional. I called Adrian based on all the wonderful and sincere testimonials here on yelp. This is an unusual review....the issue was my water heater which I thought was making weird noises. Adrian was immediately responsive and honest. I liked that he asked me to send him a video of the issue/sound and I liked that he told me upfront that he had not heard this sound before in all his professional experiences. Long story short, Adrian came out and immediately told me the sound was not coming from the water heater....it was a failing smoke alarm located next to the heater. Adrian was very kind in assuring me I was not foolish....though I feel absolutely foolish....climbed up his ladder, removed the noisy alarm....and would not take a penny for all his kind effort of coming all the way to Santa Clara.

When I got to the garage this morning, our water heater started leaking...I found this company on Thumbtack and they offered to come on the same day to fix it! He also provides a quote right away, very straightforward and transparent pricing. After quoting a few others we chose them because they offer the most reasonable price. Oleskii definitely knows his stuff - he told us the problem right away, the material cost, and overall itemized cost. All very clear and specific. He got the job done with no issue. Def highly recommended!

If you are contemplating which plumbing company to call for help, GO WITH TOTAL!! The roots of the trees in front of our house was invading and clogging our sewage pipe for a couple days. We called in the morning, they came for the estimate in a couple hours, and service was completed the afternoon of the same day. Billy was genuine with his services, very professional and knowledgeable while being very friendly. Pricing was reasonable and I appreciate how the company keeps the cleaning process transparent to us and gave us advice on general maintenance.

I needed re-piping at my place and I had found this place via yelp. Making an appointment was nice and easy. One guy came out here to assess the corroded pipes. He recommended I make an appointment with the re-piping specialist Dave. Dave came by and made an ESTIMATE and started the job the following week.

With the note above I had forgotten to mention this at the time of ESTIMATE, and this is the main reason why I chose this place, along with the reviews. I called San Jose Plumbing about Mention Yelp to save 10% off our hourly rate. and the extremely nice lady said Dave should honor it. When it came time to pay for the job I had mentioned this, and he said my estimate was final. When did an ESTIMATE become the final invoice? and for him to disregard the Mention Yelp to save 10% off our hourly rate. was very DISAPPOINTING. --- minus two stars........ Could of easily been a 5 star rating.

The re-piping job:
Dave and his son did a good job re-piping the place. They definitely are experts. They were able to open up the walls and replace the old pipes. Seems they had cut corners in some areas. For one, they had cut through the rear of kitchen cabinets, instead of opening up the wall. So if I had to replace kitchen cabinets tomorrow, I have to cut through new cabinets to accommodate piping. Second, faucet in backyard is now running down the wall, instead of being in between the drywall and stucco. It is an eye sore. In addition, the texture job didn't match my existing walls. I am having to redo it.

I had a couple of great experiences with Plumb Tech recently.   They were very helpful when I called late in the afternoon when I was in a jam.  They came out the next day while I was at work. My wife was home and the tech was very helpful and courteous.  They came back a couple weeks later and we had the same great experience.  The tech took the time to help my wife re-arrange the washer - dryer.

Not professional and complained a lot about having to do his job. If you don't like what I am paying you to do keep it to yourself or get out of the business.
