Our 20+ year old Lennox HVAC control board got malfunctioned and stopped cooling. Got technicians from different parties came over for a repair all to no avail. Quoted FUSE for a whole HVAC replacement, including asbestos removal, ductwork replacement, replacing and moving furnace to attic, and condenser replacement. Dennis came to the field and did his study, gave me a quote the same day which is a list of options with different parts and prices that I can choose from. The price is about average among all quotes but the details of the estimates beat other parties and I was sold.

Installer Tilek with his helper was assigned with this project. The installation was done in 5 days. They came 8-9am every day, we would do a brief talk with Tilek telling me how's everything and what's the plan for the day, they would start working till 6-7pm with a short break at noon for an in-van lunch. The whole installation went smoothly, my wife and I both worked at home most of the time and felt little to no disturbing.

While we were happy enjoying our new HVAC system, neighbor complained about the noise of our new condenser(Bryant Preferred compact) which facing our shared fences and is 10ft far to neighbor's room. Tilek helped to insert rubber pads between the condenser feet and pad also put on sound blanket to the compressor. Decibel level came down from 76 dB(A) to 68 dB(A) which is not bad however the neighbor can still feel the low hum/vortex. We came to the conclusion that it's not noise level but resonance. To solve it, unfortunately, I'd have to either relocate the condenser or replace it. I eventually replaced it with a Carrier variable-speed heat pump unit which they carry and works with the newly installed furnace and ductwork, part of the pipes/wires has to be replaced though. It costed me a few thousand more for the labor, price difference of the two condensers, and the pips/wires that have to be replaced. Tilek helped to ask for me a discount of a few hundred which wasn't much but was definitely a mitigation and made me feel better. He also did the installation in one day and postponed my payment for a few days for me to make sure it could indeed solve the resonance issue. It turned out worked well.

Maybe I'm sensitive but I was bothered by the burning odor from the vents in the first few seconds every time when the fan starts to run, until Tilek managed to figure out and re-wired the UV lamps which installed together with the new furnace and solved this issue for me.

Appreciate Tilek and his helper for their hard work, especially when it's 90+ degree on the attic which could easily make people get heat stroke, also I'm impressed on how approachable and how a breeze it is to communicate with him, and how receptive and responsive he is to solve all the issues, although there were back and forth, I couldn't be happier with the final outcome.

We hired The leak Detection Company to find a water leak in our concrete slab house in Redwood City when other company was trying to brake concrete all over our house the technician from Leak Detection Company find exactly where the problem was and we where available to repair it a much better price, no doubt about it they know what they where doing  very trustworthy company.

Mike and his crew are incredible. After moving in, I was in search for a reliable plumber to help tackle a number of projects in our new home. His team has installed a water softener, filtration, worked on a bathroom remodel in our primary bathroom (shower, sinks, and new toilet)...but the biggest and most impressive work was the pipe and drain work in my home bar, The Lost Grotto.

The goal was to have a fully working sink, ice machine with drainage, and a bar rail drain with glass rinsing station. Mike's team worked with my desired layout, and the result is beautiful copper pipe and drain work under the bar.

George is wonderful, careful, precise and does things right.

We had a leak in a pipe joint behind the drywall in our bathroom.  One of the best contractors in the area said we should call George to fix it.  We did and could not be happier.

Nick is the plumber I would recommend to anyone in his service area.  He gave me a quote that was competitively priced with other plumbers, and he was available to complete the job the next day.  
I decided to choose Nick for the job because he communicated the issues clearly and explained my options for fixing them.  I had a leak under my shower into the crawl space and Nick did a great job fixing it.  I had to leave my home before Nick was done working, and he was trustworthy and locked the door on his way out.

I have known Luis Chavez for several years.  I have found him to be  100% reliable and honest.  He worked for a well known plumbing company in Walnut Creek for years and just recently obtained his license and started his own business.  I have recommended Luis to several of my friends over the years.  They have all told me how pleased they were for my recommendation.  Recently he has changed my garbage disposal.  Called him in the morning and by noon the job was completed.  He has saved myself and neighbors money.  This guy is the real deal.  His word is his bond.

We had an urgent water leak, consulted Yelp for help, and found Steve Davis.  Fortuitously he was nearby and able to arrive within about 20 minutes of our call.  He works efficiently and had the problem solved (cut a pipe, solder a pipe) in an hour.  Minus one star for a small mistake that was promptly fixed.  Steve communicates via phone and email.

Super nice and efficient! This is our first apartment and when numerous things started to break (toilet, shower head, garbage disposal) they were extremely helpful and informative. I would definitely recommend them!

I had a toilet clog that I needed cleared, and I also wanted the toilet replaced.  I contacted nine plumbers via Yelp's Request a Quote.

One did not reply at all.  One was unavailable for the requested service date (three days out).  Five wanted to schedule an appointment to assess the situation before giving a quote.  (I understand why it makes sense to come on site for the quote, but getting the quote and then needing to decide on the spot whether to proceed with that company isn't great.)

Commando and one other company were willing to quote a price based on my description of the situation.  Knowing the price beforehand (instead of having it sprung on me last-minute) gave me peace.

Victor (with whom I had been chatting over Yelp) arrived promptly and got right to work.  He accommodated our shoe-free household by laying down fabric runners from the front door to the bathroom.  He emptied and removed the old toilet, verified that the clog was in the toilet (not in the drain below), and installed the new toilet, all in about an hour!  He verified that everything was working perfectly before we settled up.  The price was exactly as he had quoted.

Victor even asked if I wanted to touch up the wall paint before he installed the new toilet (since the old toilet was flush against the wall, making it impossible to paint behind it).  This was really considerate, and I appreciated the care he took in our home.  I hope to never need to hire a plumber again... but when it inevitably happens, I'll go with Commando again.

Unfortunately, I had to hire another plumber to finish the job. Summary of Advanced Repipe Specialist is below:

PROS:
* They worked really hard
* Great sheet rock work
* No leaks
* All new fixtures (look and work great)
* Fast and friendly quoting; Bill was very knowledgeable and efficient

CONS:
* They abandoned the job:
 - I had to hire a new plumber after 10 months of no work
 - I had to spend an extra $3,000 to finish the job
* They promised 1-2 day max to complete the first phase of plumbing work, but it took 4 days. That was difficult because I had only scheduled two days off work to keep the house open for them to work there.
* They left trash (excess pipes, pieces) under the house. It took me about two hours of crawling under the house to clean it up, which was required to pass inspection.
* Pipes were not secured correctly. Pipes fell down after plumbers left with no willingness to fix it. Another plumber was required to fix it and pass inspection.
* Too much up-selling, when working on plumbing
* The contract says the plumber will be there for inspections, but they did not show up.

There is a good reason this guy keeps getting 5 stars. Adrian is very friendly and great conversationalist. He is also a great teacher in water heater. Did a fantastic job with perfect attitude.

The current more than 10 years old water tank got water leak to floor. Looking for quick service in the market, Alex is one response and offer same day service with tank purchased from home Depot. Arrived on time and detail description to whole process and out-of-order parts replacement suggestion. He performs the state of the art skill and also fixed the previous incorrect installation. Within 3 hours, the new water tank was replaced and back to working status. Highly recommend to use the service.

Billy and crew are great...Rapid response to a sewer camera inspection I needed. Came on time, very professional with their work. Explained everything that they saw and will come back for a follow up.
Doesn't try to over sell on services that need to be done.
Always has the customers best interest in mind. Third time using them and always a good experience.

My faucets and PRV were squeaking since a month. I had called a plumber to take a look earlier and he recommended replacing the PRV. For $500!!

Then I remembered that San Jose Plumbing's Kevin had installed it about 6 years back. I gave them a call and explained the issue and asked them to quote me for changing the PRV. Kevin came to take a look. He said the PRV does not need to be changed.

Just a few turns of thread and the squeaking stopped. Just asked me for $20 for his effort to drive down and make a customer satisfied, which I gladly gave. These guys know their stuff and how!

I was impressed with them 6 years back and am extremely pleased with their professionalism and honesty.

I was in the middle of hosting my son's 5th birthday party and my tenant calls about an emergency leaking water heater.    I call Ivan who was just finishing up a job and he rushed over to the rescue.  He arrived, diagnosed, fixed and invoiced me all within a couple hours.   Speed and convenience!

We had leaky shutoff valves under our kitchen sink, which I discovered while preparing to install our new faucet. We called George Allen & Sons to schedule an appointment to fix the issue, and they were able to come out the very same day. John fixed our shutoff valves and installed our new faucet in an extremely reasonable amount of time, and the work was done very, very well.

I would wholeheartedly recommend George Allen & Sons, and I can't thank them enough for being there for us during this very strange time (shelter in place).
