I started out my plumbing business doing sewer and drain cleaning; thanks to my loyal customers and new ones alike I have taken my business to new levels. Ed came to my house in April to clean my sewer main. I have used his services in the past and it is still the most honest, reliable and professional plumbing service company in our area. Ed is very knowledgeable and experienced in all aspects of residential plumbing. He also provides an excellent sewer cleaning service. I have a 1950s home, so the sewer maintenance is very important in these homes. Ed can answer any questions that you may have regarding plumbing repair, new installations and maintenance. I am planning to remodel my bathroom in the future and plan to use Ed for all the plumbing modifications and new plumbing/sewer installations. He is very fair in his pricing and will not over charge you for his services.

Edward of Drain Masters installed a new water heater for us ten years ago.
There have been a few problems with this water heater. We called Edward
on those occasions but he wanted to charge us just to look at it. So I decided
to fix them by myself. Luckily it worked out.
We had a home inspection on August 19th, 2022. The inspector said, the
water heater chimney wasn't installed properly, which can be a safety issue.
We called Edward on August 26th for help. He said, he'll come to fix it in a
couple days. But he didn't come and didn't call. We called Edward again later.
He said the same thing again and didn't come. Two weeks passed.
We called Edward during the third week. He said he would come in the late
afternoon on September 9th. But he didn't come and didn't call. We called
him to check. Then he said he's too busy and the weather is too hot to come.
So we asked, why didn't he tell us that before, so we could save our time?
Edward abruptly said, There're many plumbers in San Jose! Call around! Bye,
bye! and hung up the phone. We were speechless. Half a month had gone
by in vain.
We have hired other plumbers before but no one acted like Edward. Some
plumbers were really skilled and courteous. Some of them didn't charge just
for coming to look.
This is the first time for me writing a complaint. If you want a plumber you
can rely on over time, I don't think Edward is the right one. To keep your self-esteem healthy, stay away from this man, Edward of Drain Masters.

I found my water heater leaking Saturday morning, it wasn't a whole lot of water but since the thing was installed June of 2005 I figured it was done and I should get the ball rolling on getting a replacement in.
I called Ed and he was at my place by 11. He confirmed that my heater had served me well and it was time to go.
Ed showed up on time, 9am Monday, by 11 he was gone, new water heater installed.
Ed was prompt, efficient and friendly. I would recommend Ed to my friends and family.
There was a serious leakage in my front yard. Edward came very quickly and fixed it up with a reasonable price. I highly recommend him.

I had Edward of Drain Masters came after Elite Rooter came by and wasn't able to resolve kitchen drainage issue. Elite Rooter told me it needed hydro-jetting and a cleanout to fix the issue. They quoted $2,800 which I wasn't ready to accept. I am not going to say Elite Rooter is a scam because they refunded the cost of first visit after I told them Drain Masters came and fixed the issue. I guess the technician from Elite Rooter lacked the experience and didn't try to troubleshoot issue further.
Back to Drain Masters, they were recommended by someone in Nextdoor. Drain Masters caught my attention because it's a family owned business ran by Edward. Edward personally came out to try fix the issue and he did with a reasonable cost. He knew his trade craft which is important of course!

I wouldn't recommend. I was told I'd get an estimate -- that never happened. Instead, I was hit with a $1,300 bill for installing a tub and replacing some valves. It seems way over priced in my opinion.
Also, he removed a huge hole in my bathroom without asking me beforehand. I'm not sure this was necessary or just to make it easier for himself. He told me he had to take a hole out of my downstairs neighbor's ceiling to access a pipe, but when she refused, he apparently was still able to do the job (or he didn't do it, I couldn't get a straight answer from him, it was all mumbo jumbo).
Anyway, I'm sure there are more straight forward plumbers out there. I'd keep looking.
Edward and his team are wonderful to work with. Very reliable and honest people. Get the job done fast and work with your schedule. I can't recommend them enough and am grateful to have found such a fantastic company to work with for all my plumbing needs! Photo of our most recent project.

Initially came to solve a clogged figure 5 pipe. Upon request, went to inspect re-plumbing work done by another company 3 months earlier and correctly diagnosed two issues, one of which was causing an ongoing leak (loose vent cap). We had the other company come back and fix - which they did without protest and under warranty. We're grateful for Ed's guidance and appreciate his expertise! Drain Masters is my go-to company next time.

Thank you Edward and César! These two make a great team. They are responsive, friendly, knowledgeable, professional and respectful! We had a back up in our main line and no (accessible) cleanout. Within 2.5 hours, these two installed a cleanout, snaked the line and restored our plumbing services - ON BUDGET!
I called at least 6 other plumbers, they were either not able to provide the required services or quoted outrageous service fees.
Definitely will keep Drain Master in my contacts and highly recommend them!

Ed was able to quickly schedule our home repair, arrived on time and the garbage disposal replacement was priced as quoted and quickly handled. He was very easy to deal with and does great work so we found him super helpful!
Our outtake was leaking where it meets the concrete slab. Ed and his team came the next day assessed the situation and came back the next day and fixed it. Ed was recommended by his neighbor and I'm so glad I called him. Fair price and problem fixed right away plus he suggested adding a clean out to prevent future backups.
Thank you Ed for installing a new water heater & fixing a leak connected with the washer. Everything installed in a couple of hours.

Great service. Showed up on time as promised . Determined the problem and handled it same day (he had the parts in his van which was nice) very respectful , communication was great from start to finish ! Great price ! will definitely recommend to anyone I know and is need of a reliable plumber service .
We ended up with a backed up toilet due to a supposedly biodegraeable wipe that got stuck in the line. Called Ed, who then sent his guy Ceasar to come out to clear the drain. Ed said they would be out within the hour and to his word Ceasar came out within the hour.
Ceasar gave us some feedback on how to avoid this issue in the future and even showed me how to auger the line if I wanted to do this myself in the future. He even gave me brand options to choose from. I thought this was a nice touch in customer service!
Based on this experience I would highly recommend Drain Masters based on their level of customer service provided.

I left a message for Ed for some plumbing needs including a clog and drain issue. Ed responded the next day. He gave me a time window the next day and said he would try to get out sooner if he could. His capable employee/plumber, Cesar, came by 2 hours 'before' the scheduled appointment. Cesar was friendly, easy to talk to, listened to what needs we had, and gave a very fair, flat fee quote based upon what he saw, and what I requested. Cesar was very thorough, clean and got the job done. Drain Masters, including Ed and Cesar, offer excellent customer service, plumbing expertise, and up-front pricing. We would absolutely use them again and refer them to friends, relatives, and Yelp readers.
I used drain masters in summer for my Kitchen and Washer unclog. They done great job, nice service, and not expensive, I am recommending my friend live nearby also use Drain Master's service.
I called regarding a sudden drain leak in our master bedroom vanity. Edward came within a couple of hours and fixed the leak quickly. He is a very pleasant guy and the price was good. Highly recommended.
The previous tenant did some crazy stuff in my back yard. When it rained really hard back in March, my deck and back yard flooded! Ed came out, fixed the clogged drain pipe in no time.
Get this, my dishwasher air gap was leaking water under the sink. Because Ed was so efficient at fixing the clogged drainage pipe outside, he fixed this leak for free!
These guys know their plumbing. Good people. I'm a fan. Will be calling them for all my plumbing needs in the future.

Ed was responsive and on target with suggestions on how to fix a toilet that wasn't flushing. It saved us a lot of headaches and wasted time. We appreciated his professionalism and that he got to the root of the problem right away. Out toilet is flushing again perfectly. We would highly recommend Ed.

Edward came to rescue yesterday to unclog the main sewer line. The water was getting backed up from outside sewer line outlet and whole area was contaminated. There was smell in the toilet also because of that. Ed showed up within few min of calling and finished the job within 10 min. I found him to be very reliable and great to talk to. Best plumbers ever!
Quick response time, good sense of humor, reasonable prices. They fix the problem the first time and they're very pleasant to be around. I wish I could call them for everything that needs to be repaired around the house.
We had a plumbing backup at the house, and had arranged for another company to come out to deal with it in the morning. They didn't show. They told me they were 'on their way'. Then two hours later texted 'Sorry, I'm almost done here'. And then silence. After a couple of more hours and no replies to my voicemails/texts, I cut the first company loose and called Drain Masters. And I'm really glad I did!
Ed picked up the phone, asked a few questions, and then was knocking on my front door thirty minutes later. Wow.
He knew the neighborhood too - he and his brother were raised in Almaden Valley. He'd done work for one of my neighbors. He knew where the pipe runs were laid out in these houses. He knew his stuff.
Our problem was in our sewer line, but it was far, far down the line. So far down that Ed had to call his brother to bring over the truck with the bigger machine. And his brother was here in about fifteen minutes.
Both of them were a pleasure to work with. Respectful, easy going, and they listen well. I'd hire them again in a minute.
We did a remodel a few years ago and someone left a drain plug in place and then added additional construction pipe over the top. Had One of these snake-rooter companies in and they had no clue what to do -- just wanted to drop a snake down the drain and go. These guys took the time to figure out what was actually causing the problem. they had to go under the house into the crawlspace. True Professionals.
Really easy to work with! Got to the house within a few hours and just got to work and got our pipes moved. Would use him again in a heart beat! Nice guy and knows his stuff!
They came over same day and took care of the problem quickly and professionally and even helped with cleanup!
Same day service for a clogged kitchen sink and toilet....very knowledgeable, polite and respectful...only complaint....a bit on the pricy side! I'm in the wrong line of work! :)
I was told most other businesses would have charged me $570 an hour...I would assume then they're clearing my clogged drain on the International Space Station...

I had an urgent need to replace my main water line from water meter box to the house as I just realized my pipe was too old and rusty during a landscaping project. I called Edward and he should up in less than an hour! The pipe was replaced with a copper line the very next day. I'm impressed with his honest approach and can-do attitude. The price was fair and I couldn't be happier.

After the first company is called sent a guy out 2 hours after the appointment time. He didn't want to stay and unclog the drain at 6:30pm.... Complained it was a huge job and he wanted to go home at the end of the day, not do this. Said I should've called earlier. I did call earlier, at 10am.... Well, wouldn't do the work and said he'd come back the next day. Well, what are we supposed to do with ALL SINKS AND BATH TUB completely full of water?
The next morning I called Ed instead and he came out and had it fixed in less than 15 minutes! No hassle, no problem! Very friendly and gets the job done!
Ed scheduled a time with me, willing to work around my schedule to come out and install a Pelican Saltless, whole house water filtration system with UV filtration. He warned me ahead of time that he will be turning the water off for 4-6 hours for installation. He even has my outside hose filtered so I can wash my cars with filtered water, spotless! Very professional, knowledgeable, answered all of my questions and showed me the answers to any concerns I had.
Dave came over fixed blocked drain super fast no prob, friendly, knowledgeable & affordable.

Completely positive experience (replacing a garbage disposal).
Honesty and integrity are soooooo nice! I called Drain Masters to come out and perform a hydro-jetting service (a very specialized pressure-washer for sewer lines) My line was not clogged, but I had easy access to the sewer system during a remodel and I new there was a bit of construction debris in the sewer line - so I thought why not get some peace of mind that it is clear. Edward arrived early, and after some discussion he used his fancy sewer camera to examine my sewer line. He said my lines looked fantastic, and he saw no need to spend the extra money on the hyrdo-jetting service. Thanks Edward!

Ed has been my go to plumber for several years now and has help repair several problems at my house including replacing the mainline. He Is extremely knowledgeable, reasonably price, and very friendly I highly recommend his services.

Ed (the owner) came out since a previous plumber told us the only way to get the toilet to flush (it was draining, but slowly) was to buy a new Toto toilet that would cost $900-1000 through him. Ed checked things out and realized it was calcium build-up and was able to flush the system out in just a few minutes. We appreciated his correct advice and repair and had him return to flush out our hot water heater.
We found Ed on a yelp review of the first plumber where they recommended him because of their bad experience with the first guy.
I highly recommend Drain Masters after our bad experience with the other guy.

Had a problem with a kitchen sewer line that was leaking under the house. Edward advised that before he could fix the line, he needed to have the area cleaned first. He recommended a company who does the clean up, after the company did the clean up, Edward inspected their job and was not satisfied, even though he could have fixed the line. he went ahead and called the company back to properly the clean up. This was huge for us, as we would not have known how well the clean up crew did their job because it was underneath the house. He looked out for us big time. Thanks Ed!
Two for two. Ed responded to my call and came the next morning to fix a leaky shower valve. It's been several years since I've seen him, but he is still the honest, professional, and above all competent contractor. My shower was diagnosed and fixed quickly, and he even adjusted the psi from my outside sprinklers as a precaution. His price is fair & competitive, so I tipped him - because he is worth it. They don't make many good contractors like this any more. He's like some best kept secret that I still want to keep. Ok, Yelp. This is me giving back to you since you helped me find him in the first place.

The kitchen garbage disposal was clogged and extremely slow to drain. Both sides of the sink were draining very slowly. I called Drain Masters on Wed around lunchtime and Ed came the very next morning. Ed was very courteous and professional. He took the pipes out, showed me exactly what was causing the clog (butternut squash skins, guilty as charged!), cleared it and told me to avoid putting large scraps in the disposal in the future . Edward answered my call in and showed up within 90 min. Assessed the issues and in short order had the main line cleared out. Charged a fair $225.00 for the call. No more stuck toilets and showers in the house, yeah! Peace in the house.
We have lived with a horrible working shower/tub for 8 years and never too the time to take care of it. I finally called Drain Masters and they were at my house withing 2 hours and assessed the problem.
The work that needed to be done needed some more time and they were able to schedule me an appointment the very next day. He explained the work to be done and gave a fair estimate.
The work was done with no problems and our shower valve was replaced and fixed. The drywall that was removed was replaced and I have no complaints about the work done.
The technician was friendly and communicative and worked clean and quietly.
I highly recommend Drain Masters for any plumbing repairs.

I have been using Ed/Drain Masters as my plumbing service exclusively for as many years as I can remember....more than 20 years. Every time I call they are right on it. Always the same day I need help. They get the job done quickly, correctly and they are knowledgeable, make helpful recommendations and are extremely respectful of person, place and property. I would never use anyone else! The service exceeds expectations. Plumbing problems are very stressful for homeowners. Ed and company give me the confidence to know that once I call them, everything will be OK. I am very thankful!
Had them come out to fix a clogged shower drain. When they came out, they unclogged it and left. However, they broke the shower drain cover and didn't tell me about it. I called them and they came back and re-attached it with silicon, which didn't even work through one shower the following day. I called them again, and they came back and put REGULAR drywall screws in the drain, which held the cover in place but started to rust within a few days. Less than a month later, those have fallen apart, and a call back to them resulted in we're not responsible for things that break when we access your drain pipe.
So, now I need to call an actual reputable plumber instead of these shysters to get this fixed correctly...a problem that they cause and won't fix.
Fantastic service! We had a clogged kitchen drain that I couldn't snake myself. I called Drain Masters at 9:30am and they dispatched a truck out to my house in an hour. David was very friendly. He unclogged our drain and everything works great. We couldn't be happier.
I've used them twice now and each time they cleared our mighty blockages fast with friendly service... Easy peasy the water is flowing!
Had a flood Sunday night, called Ed Monday morning at 9 am. He rolled up at 9:15!! Found the obstruction in main sewer line, cleared it out, even checked the shower drain upstairs that was draining slowly.
Timely, effecient, clean and very courteous and the price was less than expected. True professionals run this outfit in my opinion.

David and Edward have fixed a few plumbing issues that I had. They are very friendly and knowledgeable about the different plumbing issues. Very reasonable price as well. I am so glad that I found them on Yelp.
Edward responded on a Saturday morning, was at my house within a couple of hours and fixed a blocked toilet. He also fixed a slow shut-off valve at no extra cost. He was courteous and professional.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I called for a simple service which probably would not have taken a long time at all. Since it was so easy, I believe that's the reason they were willing to come... Until he found out that I lived in a condo building. At that point, he rejected my business and told me to call someone else! Wow! They should probably state that they don't like to do business with condos on their website so people don't bother to call them.
Don't believe their website either when they say they are open 24-7. I called last night and didn't get a call back until the morning after. How does a business claim to be open 24-7? False advertising.
Good thing I didn't hire them because he was going to charge me $125 for something so simple!!!

For 2 long years I have been fighting against the power of nature, a 50ft redwood and a 30ft oak tree. Clay pipes were the standard for sewage lines up to 100 years ago. while these have proved sturdy all the way back to the days of the Roman Empire, they have not held up well to earthquakes and ROOTS. Given the severe root infestation of our line (between our house and sidewalk ~45 feet) , I have used a friend of the family to snake our line about every 3 months for the past 2 years.
I have finally decided to replace the entire 45 foot line using a trenchless technology (H&H Company review coming shortly) with a Polyethylene pipe, with one-week left before the project kicks off, of course the line backs up again. My plumbing source was not available, so I gave Drain Master a shot. Edward Sylvester is the sole proprietor of Drain Master and does all the work with one apprentice. He gave me a $125 quote over the phone (which is very reasonable considering the length of the line and the slope of the incline to the house), he came promptly as promised and cleaned-out the line within 15 minutes and the final bill came out less than the phone quote.
Great experience from a professional licensed independent plumber!
Edward and Dave responded quickly to my phone call. They explained the work that needed to be done to my sewer line and gave a reasonable quote.
Even more important, they were honest and conscientious.
They told me when they found that certain work *didn't* need to be done. They also came back to check something that occurred to them *after* they finished the job.
$125 down the drain! But in this case, I reckon it's a good thing. First of all, I would like to declare that I am an extreme Yelper when it comes to scouting restaurants, services, etc.
Master shower backed up and a few days later, guest room shower backed up causing for my inquiries via highly rated business on Yelp. I settled on Drain Masters and gave them a call. Friendly and professional on the phone and was told that someone would be out w/in the hour.
45 minutes later, I received a call saying that they are at my residence. Come in, booties and all, take a look at the showers, go on the roof, snake the line, do their thing, and drains are cleared up (no thanks to giant hairball).
Overall, am very satisfied customer. Thanks again, Yelp, and Drain Masters!
When I saw the multitude of 5-Star reviews Drain Masters had received on Yelp, I decided to give these guys a job of fixing a leaking kitchen sink.
While the plumber showed up on time and workmanship seems fine, I feel the $158.00 charged to replace a gasket and locknut assembly was just far too steep.
Seeing that the entire repair process took only 15 minutes, one might think that my inquiry about including snaking out the line for that price might have made it a more equitable deal.
No, that would be extra.

Business card says Honesty is Our Policy, and it is no exaggeration.
Very good, very fast, very fair. At the time I was getting quotes, owner Edward gave me great advice on what to watch out for.
His price was very reasonable and he came in on the low end--$125 total for unclogging our drain.
The work is warrantied--any problem within 6 days and he re-snakes my drains for no charge.

Called Drain Masters, as I have done before, Ed answered live and in person, thumbs up. I told him my problem concerning a closed Kitchen drain that I couldn't unclog myself. Ed said he would be there in 90 mins, came in about 45 minutes. Diagnosed the issue, and had the drain unclogged and working as normal in about 15 mins. Now we can get through the dish pile up. Drain Masters are just straight up good plumbers, they show up and get it done, no BS upset or consultative urgings unless you ask for their opinion. I will be calling them for future needs. Plumbing is nasty business, better to call the pros when things get backed up.
Had problems with the 2 line, they were able to snake it in no time. Removed and replaced the frozen cap on the cleanout so they didn't have to slip on the mossy roof.

I had a miserable stopped up pipe from my house to my street that caused sewage runoff from my downstairs bathroom toilet to the entire downstairs bathroom and beyond. We didn't know what was causing it but we soon noticed every time we ran the washer we had a severe overflow. I searched Yelp and found Drain Masters was rated really high and gave them an immediate call. That evening Joshua came over and snaked my drain but didn't have enough hose to reach the street. Edward helped us with several plumbing issues these past few months, including installing gas line, and plumbing repairs. I greatly appreciate how quickly he responds to calls. I feel comforted knowing I have a reliable plumber I can call when needed.
I contacted Edward for clogged toilet, and he arrived about hour late. Due to no sewer cleanout access available in my house (I did not realize it after living here more than 10 yrs without any plumbing issue), he gave me two suggestions: he can install the sewer cleanout to fix the problem, or get other provider who is willing remove the toilet to access from there (his machine is too big to do it). Per his useful suggestion, I found another guy with small machine to fix the problem. He is so Professional, honest and reasonable guy. Even though I did not end up using him, I will call him for plumbing work needed next time. Thank you Edward for your professional suggestion.

I have to say - you really don't realize how vital clear drains are until you have just moved into a new house (so counter and floor space is at a premium due to boxes!everywhere) and you can't run the dishwasher or even do the dishes by hand. Hell, I even had to take my pot of boiling water and colander out to the garden in order to drain our spaghetti! Nightmare!
So yah .. we had a clogged drain that wouldn't clear - even when we put a 30' snake put down it. So I checked Yelp, saw the reviews for these guys, and gave 'em a call. Score another one for the Yelp community in terms of not leading me astray!
We got it scheduled, they arrived when they said they would, work was done quickly and efficiently including installing a proper set of drainpipes under the kitchen sink (what was there was definitely cobbled together by someone not sure what they were doing).
And now our sink drains, our dishes are done, and all (ALL!) we have to do is get boxes unpacked in hopes of seeing the floors once again!
We had an overflowing kitchen sink on Christmas Eve. Edward and David were able to come to our house within 45 minutes. They diagnosed the problem, a separated pipe, within less than 10 minutes. They had to cut a hole in the wall to reach the pipe. They fixed the problem within an hour without making a mess with when they snaked the pipes.
The only negative: They said it would be a flat $158 but charged us an additional $107 just because they had to cut through some dry wall. Being Christmas Eve and on our way out to celebrate with family, we paid it gratefully, but it was a bit steep.
They were punctual, friendly, professional, wore shoe covers. I would call them again and recommend them to friends.
While trying to do some plumbing work myself I found that the values under my kitchen sink were leaking. I know enough about plumbing to know that I don't want to tackle this. I called Drain Masters and they came out as scheduled, did the work quickly and charged what I thought was a fair price.
I would call them again anytime.

I had 2 sinks that were clogged. We tried Drano, and even took the pipes apart to try and unclog them ourselves. No good.
Dave and Ed came in, unclogged it in 15 minutes and now it works perfect!
They were professional and fast. I would definitely recommend them!
Came out same day I called to get our septic snaked. He did a great job, was done right the first time.

They installed a cleanout for me a year ago. They charged me much more than they originally quoted ($1200 instead of $800). Also the concrete surface they added looked very lumpy. And they didn't clear away the rubble afterwards. I would never use them again.

Highly recommend! I had a leakage issue under the front yard lawn, other plumbers I called either give higher price or cannot locate the leakage. Called Ed and he came in 30 mins, start to locate the problem right away and made his professional judgement quickly with reasonable quote. He soon found out the leak point and fixed it in a professional manner. Very experienced and nice guy, I will definitely call him again in case of any other plumber issue.

Edward is very skilful and professional. He describes my case clearly and gives many followup advices.
Second visit with a leaky faucet. Let me know when he would be out. Showed up on time and did an excellent job. I notice the less then stellar reviews were from people who did not want to pay his minimum. Tell your mechanic next time and see how far it get's you.
I am so happy that I made the right choice to call Ed. We had a rental property and one week after the leasing date the main sewer clogged. I called city, but water is still backed up even after city took the roots out of the clean out (close to side walk). With renters in the house unable to use the bathroom, it's a lot of stress on me. I'm desperately reaching out on yelp. Ed replied me 6AM in the morning, picked up my call at 6:30AM, showed up on time. We discussed options and eventually I decided to dig the lawns and install a new 2 way clean out so that we can fix this problem for good and save effort for future issues. Ed run a camera to locate the pipes and had the crew start digging. 4 hours later we have a new clean out and no clog. Ed then run cameras again on both sides to make sure there is nothing missing. My mother had a sewer problem and looked in the yellow pages and called Go Go Rooter. They totally ripped her off charging her 750 and couldn't get through said it would cost additonal 5000 to unclog it and add a sewer clean out. My brother called Drain masters they came out and in 15 min uncloged it told her she already had a sewer clean out and only charged her 125. Way to to Drain Master!! Thank you so much!!

I took Valdo's recommedation and it was well worth it! Saturday morning the plumbing backed up and I went to Yelp to find a good plumber. Since I live in downtown San Jose, I was looking for a local plumber who had experience in working on older homes (Our home was built in 1918) and found Valdo's positive comments.
I gave Drain Master a call at 8:30 AM and they had two young men on site in 45 minutes. There were knowledgeable, efficient and and had the problem solved in 50 minutes.
The amazing thing is they said if the drains back up in the next 30 days they will come back and clean them out for Free! They said to call them anytime, even midnight, and they'll show up!
The two young men are the nephews of the owner, Edward Sylvester, and he is fortunate to have them as employees. There's nothing like knowledge, youth an exuberance to get the job done.
The cost . . . $80. The last time we had this done 4 years ago it cost $120.

Showed up quickly on a Saturday and unblocked a plugged up toilet that I couldn't get to budge after a lot of trying. He spent 5 minutes on it and charged $125 which is twice what I expected a high fee to be. My bad for not getting a quote over the phone, but I was lulled into a false sense of security by the other glowing reviews. I hate to stick them with only one star but I live on SSDI and I'm sensitive to being gouged by contractors. If you're only interested in quick service and price is not an issue then these guys will probably be good for you. Otherwise, make a few calls and get a rough estimate and their minimum charge for showing up,
By the way, he told me that they charge per job so if I asked him to look at another leaky toilet that would have been a separate $125 charge.
The job was done and everything works. But I think we were way overcharged for the job that was done. The customer service sucked!. It took 10 mins and we were charged 125$. And got a quote for another job which we decided to pass on.

Yes, folks, I did a stupid thing and put stuff in the disposal I shouldn't have. I called Ed because of the two prior reviews on here, and left him a message to call me back. Within 30 minutes, he returned my call, told me he'd be here in about an hour, and sure enough, he showed up.
He unclogged the main drain in less than 10 minutes, which I'd tried to do for three hours on my own. He gave me a 60 day warranty (I've never received anything more than a 30 day), and he charged $125.
Compared to the other quote I'd gotten ($182 just to come out), I thought this was quite reasonable. He was professional, friendly and obviously knowledgeable.
I hope I don't need him again, but if I do, he's the only one I will call.

Called on a Thursday at 11:30 AM and the guy was here by 12:15. Fixed it in 20 minutes, so while $125 may seem like a lot for something that quick, it was extremely convenient.
I had a great experience and got some extra help, it's everything like the good reviews here. I called at 10:30am when toilets and shower drains were all clogged up after some rain. He told me it's the sewer line that's backed up and quoted a reasonable price. Bang, he showed up 20 minutes later. Suspecting what's backed up is from the access hole on the ground level out to the road, he told me upfront I can get it fixed by the city for free. I had him do the job anyway. The 4 metal cap was all corroded and extra efforts were required. After the issue was fixed (snaking the line), he went out to ACE to purchase the replacement cap. All this was done within 80 minutes. A fantastic service from a neighborhood store!!

This is the first time I've ever written a Yelp review! I hate the idea of having to deal with plumbers, mechanics, etc...but had to today because our pipes were backed up. I found Drain Master and gave them a call early this morning. They got here within an hour, and right on time...no nonsense...explained the problem and offered me two options. I have had a drain issue with my laundry sink for a long time know as these guys came in and fix the problem in seconds. They were in the area so they were at my home within the half hour and done with everything within 15 minutes from there. There was no assessment or lett us come to the home to diagnose the problem. I called Drain Masters after trying to tackle the issue myself, but to no avail I was not able to correct it. I called on Friday morning, received a quote of $125 over the phone and received same day service. I was told service time would be between 2-3 and he showed up at 2:00PM - nice!
Service was thorough, friendly, and relatively quick. Within 30 minutes my washing machine was back to washing clothes and my dishwasher washing dishes! Yay for our household!

Called them at 10:30am on a Saturday with a completely stopped drain. Edward said he'd be by in a little over an hour. He showed up 30 minutes early and was done in 30 more. Price for clearing the drain and replacing the stopper and trap was in line with what others have mentioned.
Having just remodeled our kitchen and switched from a single sink to a double sink, we needed a new drain config. under the sink. My husband didn't feel like the back and forth to Home Depot and multiple hours it probably would have taken him and we knew a professional could probably do it within an hour. We called another company to come out and give us a quote (we were willing to spend $200), they wanted almost $300! Then we called Drain Masters. We were given a time slot and told we would be called when he was on his way, he called early and got there right on time. It took him about 40 min and we ended up needing a few extra parts, but the total still only came out to $190. The plumber was friendly and professional, we will definitely call them again if we need any plumbing help.

We were referred to Drain Masters by a local sprinkler repair company. Edward the owner of Drain Masters was able to detect our plumbing problem within 15 minutes and on top of that he also found out what was wrong with our sprinkler system. I had a main drain that was partially clogged (most likely sludge from a sagging pipe). I had another plumber come out who diagnosed the blockage as between the house and the street, but was unable to clear it. I called Drain Masters right afterward and they were able to come out the next morning. They quickly diagnosed there was a blockage under the house as well. After snaking for a bit they were able to clear both blockages. They also had a hydro jet in their van, just in case the snake wasn't able to clear the blockage.
They were quick, prompt and successful at fixing my plumbing problem. I will definitely call them first next time.

We are doing some remodeling and i used drainmasters on a reccomendation from my brother. they are great ! honest, well priced, fast, friendly, and got the job done right ! I'm only going to use drainmasters in the future for my plumbing needs.
They came for my toilet 2 times. First time the guy was friendly and fixed everything. Even left the warranty for 6 days. When the problem returned in 5 days I called again and another guy was also friendly but told me there never should be warranty on the snaked toilet. He fixed the problem and something I even didn't ask him to fix (not for free of course) And it would be fine, but yesterday (3 days after the second visit) my toilet stop working again. And I don't want to deal with Drain Masters again. I don't want them to think that I intentionally put there an elephant.
If you aren't calling Drain Masters for your plumbing needs, you should be. Ed, the owner, is honest, reliable, and knowledgeable. He is reasonable priced and guarantees his work. I had a major clog, and within minutes the drains were running perfect. Give him a try next time you have a problem. I promise you, that you will be very satisfied.

Rental house was just purchased (bank owned) as is, new tenants just moved in. There were many plumbing issues that needed to be worked on. Main problem was when the second floor toiled flushed, water came out of bathtub drain. Yukk.
Called Drain Masters through my real estate office recommendation from other agent who used them all the time, and Yelp reviews. They were out at the house the next day just as they promised. Since there was no cleanout line outside the house, they had to remove the toilet in the garage to access the main drain line. They reinstalled the toilet with a new wax seal and asked us to try it again. It had improved 70%, but the upstairs was still draining slow.
The 1/2 bath in the garage was an add on that was planning to be removed anyway. Demolished the 1/2 bath in the garage and the problem became obvious. They came back the second time and replaced the drain from the upstairs bathtub using the ceiling access from the garage. The drain was clogged and leaking and they replaced it with a new drain, overflow, J pipe etc. It was a 100% improvement and now all the drains worked like new.
The bill for replacing the complete drain and for 2 day's work was amazingly reasonable. I was expecting at least twice that amount, based on paying other plumbers for similar work.
I don't get impressed by someone doing the job they are paid to do, but I can honestly say that these guys went way above and beyond what I expected.

I dropped the drain snake into second floor shower drain. Called in Drain Master. I thought this is gonna be a big project. Dave came and tried to help me to fish out the lost snake with his own snake. It wasn't successful as expected. But he did help me locate where the lost snake is and suggest a DIY approach. There is no push for doing any fix with them. Just pure honesty and intention to offer the help. He didn't charge me either for his effort. Five stars for the integrity and honesty that are rarely seen nowadays.
Had a backed-up pipes (it was overflowing, gross) and found them on Yelp. They came when they said they would (in 90 mins) and cleared up the pipes in an hour. They wore shoe covers, were professional and got the job done with a 60 day warranty. Reasonable price - $125 to unclog the drain. Exactly what I was looking for and will definately use them again.

After a horrendous, smelly, fourth of July holiday of plumbing issues where I had two plumbing companies come to investigate. The first one went under the house with pictures and lots of drama about how it was a leaky mess, though the pictures didn't really show it, and wouldn't quote me a price until he called in the closer. Finally saying it would cost thousands, I then checked Yelp and saw a 2 star rating, I kicked him out. (Lesson learned, go to Yelp first!)
I called another plumber and he wouldn't go under the house, he just called the first plumber and agreed with him. I kicked him out as well.
Then I called Drain Masters. I called at 9:30 AM and he was here by 10:30 AM and under the house, having me run water, flush toilets to be sure there was no leaks, etc. The other plumbers did not do this. It turns out it was a bad, old toilet wax ring seal. Total job cost $130.00.
I love these guys!!! Drain Masters in now my plumbers for life.

They saved me! My tenants pipe behind the water heater broke and flooded the house. They were prompt in simply booking an estimate and when they were $400 cheaper than the plumber who was there 10 minutes earlier I decided to go with them. They spent quality time on the repair that took hours to complete same day. No small talk, just got to work, which I appreciated when I was stressed beyond belief. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they included some drywall which wasn't included in the quote that they mentioned at the end, but it wasn't too much more. Honestly, I'm pretty sure the job cost more than what I was charged but I'm unemployed and I pleaded for help, seeing that everyone else quoted much higher. I'm thankful that they rescued me and when I have a problem next time I know who I'm calling!
Drain Masters is great. I read the good reviews on Yelp and this is why I chose them. I had a plumbing problem about 5 months ago. I called them mid-afternoon and the plumber was ready to come right then. I told him I didn't get home until 6:00 and he came at 6:00. He was very accommodating and the price I paid was very reasonable. He fixed the problem and made sure everything was working properly before he left. He also made sure other plumbing areas that are connected to the original problem were working properly too. He did a great job and I will call them in the future if the need arises.

Unfortunately, I've had to call Drain Masters 3 times in the first 6 months in our new home, but every time they've been prompt, efficient, polite (well, more than polite, all the way to friendly... and for plumbing jobs like these, that's not something I expect), and very reasonably priced. I recommend them without reservation, and will call them first with any plumbing problems in the future (although I really hope not to have to call them again any time soon!).

Drain Masters to the rescue ! Saturday morning plumbing problem in a house of 5....toilets and tub backing up as everyone is getting up ....not a good way to start the weekend. Went to yelp. Saw the excellent reviews for this company...they gave me a quote over the phone, and were here within 30 min. The price was fair and they stuck to the quote. Fair, honest and polite. Thats the way they roll.
After considering two other plumbers I choose Drain Masters for extending a gas line into the kitchen.
1.They seem well experienced. Took exactly the time they said it will take to complete the job
2. Reasonably priced
3. They were nice enough to unclog the dish washer pipe line connecting to the kitchen sink for free while another plumber said it would mean to replace the kitchen sink grinder altogether and cost me 120$
I would go for DrainMasters with no hesitation whatsoever.

Called at 9:00 this morning about a slow drain. Got a quote over the phone and said they would be out within two hours. They arrived inside 90 minutes and got right to work. The drains are perfect and the price was AQ Excellent, efficient and professional. What more could you ask for?

Had Kitchen drain clogged during cold week in December/January .. Called drain Master and told me someone would be out between 3-5 guys cost estimate over the phone was $125-158. Guys (Dave and nephew) showed up at 5pm and got to work.
Struggled for over an hour and was not able to free clog. Need to consider doing serious plumbing job to add an outside clean out in the line as their snakes can't get beyond the drop in the line. Dave was very conscious and caring and apologized for not being able to clean the clog. I was not charged anything and felt they did appropriate service given the circumstances. Thanks

Nice guy answered the phone and said he would have someone out first thing Sunday Morning (Superbowl day), and said the charge would be $125.00. Very nice serviceman showed up as promised wearing booties over his shoes so as not to dirty my floors. Had my kitchen drain unclogged in short order, gave me a bill for $125.00 and left. Could not be more pleased with the service I received from Drain Masters.

I would say -1 STAR. Terrible Company ! Anything but honest. Called them three times to schedule a visit. They were short and impatient on the phone and committed to a time-slot but never bothered to show up. They were also arrogant in demanding that we accomodate to their truck rollout schedule. Stay away from this company and suggest you look at several other plumbers out there.
I am really unhappy with the service and here is why: I called this guy and scheduled him to come out to do some work for me. He agreed to come on a Tuesday between 11-1. He did not show up. I called him about 2pm and he said that he lost my information. He showed up about 3:30. He quoted me a $200 price to replace all the hardware in one shower and one valve in another shower. We scheduled it for a Saturday morning in 2 weeks. I called him a few days before the appointment to confirm that he was coming and he said that he would be there at at 9am. 9 am came and went. I called him about 10:30, I think, and he said that he had until 11:00 to get there.
He arrived and reviewed the project and said that he needed to go to the store and get the needed parts. I confirmed the price of $200. He said that that price does not include parts. He left and was go about an hour. He returned and installed the parts and did the work that was agreed. He then handed me a bill for $428. I expressed surprise at the difference in price. I asked for the receipts for the parts that he purchased and he said that he left them at the office. I suggested that maybe he bought the parts wholesale and marked them up. He said that he did. There was no way for me to verify the actual price of the parts that he installed. The guy was not on time twice, quoted me a price for the work and then charged me double the amount. He also had the smell of alcohol on his breath and he tracked mud from his shoes from the bathroom and threw the kitchen. I will never use this guy again.
Had a slow draining washing machine and from past experiences (owned same house for 35 years) I looked for a rooter service that was experienced and reasonable. I looked on Yelp for help and got Drain Masters name. Didn't have a lot of reviews but decided to call them anyway.
What a good decision. Called at 9:30 AM and talked to the owner of the business. He said he would be out to me at 11:00 on the same day. WOW. He showed up right when he said he would and brought his young apprentice with him.
In my initial discussion I thought they would have to rooter from the rooftop which increases the cost but after looking at the problem he was able to rooter from our drain out in the garage. Saved me $50.00 bucks by doing that which I was grateful for.
Would definitely use their service again when needed. Highly recommended.

Had a blockage (or two) in my sewage lateral a couple weeks ago, almost at the point it reaches the sewage main in the street. I called Drain Masters, and Edward came out pronto and snaked the clogs out no problem with 125 ft snake.
The previous plumber I called couldn't reach the clog because his snake wasn't long enough, and told me I needed another clean line installed at the front of my house to solve the problem, which would have been about $1000 to install. Edward called B.S. on that claim, and unjammed my lateral for a good price.
Thanks for the honest business, Edward. I'll definitely call you for any future plumbing problems I have.

Nice guys. They arrived on time and cleared the drain. We tested to make sure water was flowing freely. They are not the cheapest, but I did not want to mess around with the low-ball companies. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.
I turned my water supply off to the house at the main water supply at the house. When turning it back on, a screw broke loose internally on the cage valve, leaving me unable to turn the water back on without replacing the main water supply valve.
I called 2 additional plumbers before contacting Drain Masters on a Sunday. Both of the other guys calls went to call centers and would arrange for a plumber to be onsite for time and a half before 6:00pm on Sunday and double time after 6:00pm. I then found Drain Masters on Yelp and called them. I spoke with Edward and explained my situation. He said he would be onsite between 8:00am and 9:00am on Monday.
He showed up at about 8:15 ready to go. He took a quick look and diagnosed the situation. He started on the job and I asked if he could also change the water pressure control valve. I had preciously attempted to change the water pressure and found that turning the nut had not affect at all on the water pressure. He immediately headed back and got the right valve, and returned to finish the job.
After the job was complete, we noticed an additional leak coming out of the watering system connection. He offered to come back later and fix that. He showed up a few hours later and took care of that as well at a nominal charge.
Overall I was extremely pleased with the level work professional work, the very reasonable charges, and the attention to detail. Edward is a very good plumber and I would highly recommend him to do any work you need done. I am considering some renovations to my bathrooms in the future and I'm glad I have found a plumber I can work with and trust. Thanks Edward!
I scheduled an appointment to install water softener. The first time nobody showed up, I called and left a message. They called me back in 2 days, apologized and we rescheduled. The exact same story happened the next time. I was in disbelief, but decided to give them a third chance.
On the third attempt Drain Masters did come. And once they do - you should be happy! These guys did a fantastic job installing a water softener at my house. It required extensive piping and I was very very pleased with their job. Very. So much that when I needed to replace an expansion tank at my other condo I called them again. They answered the phone right away, and we scheduled an appointment.
Yes, you guessed it right - nobody showed up, and nobody called. Later they called, apologized and we re-scheduled. You guessed it right again - the exact same story. I called again and left a message. This time they didn't even want to return my call. I called a few times after that, and now nobody even answers the phone - it goes straight to the voicemail.
I believe due to their high rating at Yelp they have plenty of business, the customer are lined up, and they can choose who they want to come to. I guess I just wasn't one of those.

I called these guys based on the rave reviews. However, in my case they stood me up not just once but three times! How can some one run a business who does not value his customers' time? May be these guys do a good job when they do show up but am not going to wait to find out.
I called Drain Masters based on the over whelming high reviews from the yelp community. After describing my plumbing problem (shower drain backup/slow draining that was also causing bubbling up in toilet), Edward of Drain Master, without hesitation provided a clear general assessment and what would be needed to fix my problem. What I was impressed with was his willingness to be so forthright with useful information, not hedging or cloaking for later opportunities to take advantage.
He was honest -- even that what he suggested I first call my HOA -- would possibly not bring him the business. On the other hand, I gave the same problem explanation to two other companies, one quoted what seemed an very high price just to come out to investigate with additional costs and the other quoted two separate prices to unclog the shower and the toilet -- even that they both go through the same main drain. I realize we consumers don't know much but we are not idiots! So in closing, Edward of Drain Master was right, it was my HOA responsibility. As a property owner it is inevitable that I will have a plumbing problem that will not fall on the HOA and I will definitely call Drain Master. You should too.

If committing to a time and actually showing up is important to you, you might want to reconsider using them. I called Drain Masters because of their stellar Yelp reviews. I can't attest to their quality of work or rates, I never really had a chance to get that far. When making my appointment, I let them know that I would have to schedule later in the afternoon because I need to take off work to meet them. If a company commits to you 4 days in advance, they should show up. I called them ONE HOUR after my appt and the owner (I'm assuming) simply said, we got busy and I forgot about you. Thanks, I appreciate it! At least have the common courtesy to call earlier in the day and reschedule.
don't let them buy a toilet for you. 50% mark up on what you could otherwise purchase yourself at Home Depot! Charged $225 for a Toilet that was $150 cost to anyone off the street. Oh, and by the way it's a piece of crap! I would have been happy to pay whatever for a good toilet, but got a cheap one for a premium price. Not Happy! Their tagline is Honesty is our policy. yea, right! He could have told me I could take 20 minutes and save myself $75.... Won't be using these guys again.
Drain Masters is the best drain cleaner service I have ever used over the years. The guys actually love what they do and got right to work. I don't know why I had never heard of them in the past. They don't try to sell you on drain cleaners and other non-sense like many of the franchised companies. Highly recommend these guys!!!
My husband and I have been battling the drain from the garage sink for the last several months... talk about a source of frustration! We've called other plumbers - but their idea of helping unclog this stupid drain was by charging us for a quote to REPIPE our entire house. This is not what we needed - we just had a stubborn drain.
So my husband and I argued, disagreed, & challenged one another about the best way to approach this mess - when we finally YELPED a plumber and came accross DRAIN MASTERS. My husband called - they actually gave a quote over the phone (something we couldnt get others to commit to, not even a guestimate)... and said - We already have someone in your area, we can be there within the hour ... from the phone call to completion of the job: 15 minutes! quite an ok price, but very courteous, flexible and the guy knows what he's doing. they'll even wear shoe-covers inside your house (some other services will refuse) if you ask them too. if you have time doing plumbing - getting underneath the sink, spend like 2-3 hrs, i'd say go do it yourself. but for those others who don't have time or simply don't want to go back & forth to home depot (as normally the case with me), be prepared to spend $125-$150 for fixing/replacing faucet.
Called them and they walked me through a quick check to see if I could fix a minor plumbing problem over the phone. Two minutes later the problem was fixed. I almost felt guilty not being able to pay them but the guy was totally cool. A few other reviews mentioned that these are honest plumbers and I certainly experienced that just over the phone. He could have so easily made a $50 service call out of my minor issue. I certainly know who I will call next time I have any plumbing issues.

We made a huge mistake and called another company first. They quoted $370 for a simple job. I passed and called Drain Masters who showed up in under an hour and quoted the same $125 rate that everybody else has received. They were quick and friendly. It came with a 60 day guarantee that our problem wouldn't resurface and that's about all I can ask for.

We had a main line clog on New Years Eve (2010). AHS sent someone out NY Day. They tried to snake it from one end of the house and then thru the roof vent (no existing clear out) with 100 ft of snake, but it didn't clear the drain. It needed more work that's not covered by AHS. After simmering for another day without toilets, shower, kitchen sink & minimal water usage (due to slow draining), we yelped and found Drain Masters. We liked the review's and his quote over the phone was very attractive (33% less than another quote). We made an appointment for Monday morning. He came on time at 09:30 and before lunchtime: cleared the blockage, snaked it, put in a clear out, video'd the line and re-snaked it and cleaned up everything. The bill came out to what he quoted! What a relief (sorry, had to throw that in) to get basic bathrooms capability back - you don't realize what you got till you loose it.

These guys were great plumbers, called them after midnight and they were out first thing in the morning and actually had a live person pick up the phone even at almost 1am. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it fast. We will use them again in the future for sure. They even give a warrenty on their work.

I have family coming over for Father's Day this weekend, and our kitchen sink stopped up! Couldn't run the sink or the dish washer. Called Drain Master after reading Yelp reviews, and have the same feedback. Edward is a nice guy, came over right when he said he would (between 11 & 12, got here at 11:30) with a helper named Dave. In and out in under 1/2 hour, and now we can clean up and get food ready for guests! $125 with a 60 day warrantee if it backs up again. Awesome!
When a nasty smell developed in our bathroom, I called Drain Masters. He showed up and took one sniff and told me it was a dead rodent. Then he went up in the attic and found it for me! Way to go above and beyond.
Guests dumped food and mayonnaise down our drain during a house party, kitchen sink backed up. Tried snaking it myself, and Drano, to no avail. Gave these guys a call the next morning at 8AM, they were there by 8:25, found the outside cleanout, snaked it all the way to the sewage line, done by 8:45. Gladly paid $125 for the speed and professionalism.

I tried to unclog my bathtub myself but I couldn't get it with a hand snake. I called up Drain Masters and they were at my place within the hour. Not only did he (didn't get his name) get it done quickly, but he cleaned out the tub and put the overflow cover back on that I had taken off. Excellent service!

I'm a handyman myself, so many plumbing jobs are within my comfort zone. Occasionally, however, the job is too major and/or I just feel it's better to pass and call in an expert. Eddie is my backup, and it's AWESOME to have a company like Drain Masters on your team. I tried for 3 days to unclog my own kitchen drain line; Eddie had it flowing in 20 minutes. I confidently recommend Drain Masters to my customers--they're awesome!

I recently utilized the services of Drain Masters to install a natural gas BBQ. They had done plumbing work at my home before and I thought they did a quality job for a very competitive price. I'm happy to report my experience was the same with the grill installation. They did a great job, were very responsive, and the price was very fair. Where others failed, Drain Masters prevailed! We had a clogged up kitchen drain. The previous company that we called were very pleasant and professional but they were unsuccessful. In fact they wanted to blast through to our bathroom to the tune of $850. ((I cannot the company.) Anyway, our drain did challenge Drain Masters, but they cleared it without tearing down a wall. In fact, Edward was in and out of our home in less than an hour. He was great! He even explained a strange thing about the drains in our neighborhood and commented that perhaps that was the reason the previous plumber failed.
We called Drain Masters yesterday because our drains were backing up and sludge was coming up out of the sink. They said they would be by within 90 minutes and actually got here in less than 30. Thanks for the fast response. Anyway, it is an old house and the sewer lines are not in the best of shape. Edward, the owner, was on the call and after some investigation, he gave it to us straight. We needed the sewer line snaked. Unfortunately, the clean out was not accessible due to some non permitted construction some time in the past so he would need to remove one of the toilets, snake the line, then reset the toilet. As an option, he said he would be able to cut through the exterior of the house in order to access the clean out. After snaking the sewer line, he would then add some additional length to the sewer line so that it extended to the exterior of the house. He would then restucco the wall so that it was good as new. Although more expensive, we opted for this option because it was a better long term solution.
Anyway, he got to work first with a 75 ft snake. Not long enough so he called in one of his workers with the big boy...the 175 ft snake. Bingo. After a couple of hours of hard work - success. He showed us what the problem was. Roots had grown into the sewer line and constricted the opening until water no longer was able to flow through the line. He patched things up as promised and now we are good as new.
Edward was polite, knowledgeable and extremely pleasant to be around. I can't think that I have had a better, more positive experience.
My kitchen sink clogged up on Friday night so the next morning I called my usual plumber but he was completely booked...so I do what I always do...I Yelped for help! I called, Edward answered right away, gave me a steadfast quote for the problem, gave me a window of time for his arrival...he came within that time frame, fixed the problem and charged me what he said he would. I got exactly what I asked for. End of story. Thank you, Edward!
Today I used Drain Masters for the secon time to snake the drain from house to street. Pesty tree roots keep reaching for sewage. Drain Masters has become my #1 preference for plumbing needs. They are friendly, responsive, the prices are competitive, they have done good work for me. I know now that I'll need to call them out for yearly maintenance visits to 'prune' tree roots that manage to make into into the drain system. Drain Masters, please continue your excellent business model. It's good to not have to think twice about who to call. Ethics is a good thing.
David from Drain Masters came out and cleared our drain in about half an hour. The price was about average ($125). He was prompt, professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and tidy. I'm very happy!
For the past couple of months our toilet had a slow drain, and despite every effort to plunge it and use gels and the like to get it to drain properly, nothing would work. This past Saturday we finally called Drain Masters and they showed up within 1/2 hour of the initial call, and within about 5-10 minutes he quickly figured out that the toilet had a problem. He was able to quickly recommend a new toilet for us, and after researching it online it was definitely one of the better ones out there. Great service from a knowledgeable person with fair pricing.

Hired Drain Masters to do a couple odd jobs around our new house, fixing misinstalled drains, water line to the fridge, etc. Prices were reasonable and work was done quickly and outcome was great.
After hosting a Mexican food night, I ended up with a good chunk of a Burritozilla stuffing up my sink pipes. Not knowing where to find a reliable plumber, I choose Drain Masters based on the Yelp reviews, and I was not disappointed. They not only came out on short notice, but arrived 15 minutes early. Clean and respectful - booties and all. I had a simple clogged kitchen sink. Not a big deal in the drain masters world, I'm sure, but Edward worked fast, cleaned up after himself, and made sure the pipes were running clearly before he left. He also took the time to answer my questions about a bathroom remodel that I am getting ready to do. He will get my call when I am ready to do my shower and tub.

Made an appointment and was given a time slot of 3-5pm. Rushed him from work to get there by 3. At about 5:10 no show and no call. I called and then he found my name and said it had gotten lost in his books. The only good thing was he came straight over then. We had a leaky toilet. My husband thought he could probably fix it but doesn't really have time to mess around with stuff like that during the week and we were going to have a guest. The plumber showed me the part that was the problem and said he could order it, and that if we tried to get it at Home Depot they wouldn't have the right fit. He said the part would be about $60 and labor something like $150. He then basically tried to tell me I should just get a whole new toilet from them. When my husband came home I showed him the part, and he ended up ordering it online and fixing it himself... for a whopping $16! So glad we avoided being ripped off. Luckily there was no charge for the visit. I don't know if that's the norm or because of screwing up the appointment.

its a little bit childish bashing someone else's company giving us negative ratings and saying a bunch of untrue things like we dont have a license or we dont know what we are doing when youve never seen our work or heard about our work from anyone else, you dont know if we do or do not have a license. if your company is so good then let your work stand and show for itself instead of coming to someone elses business page and trying to bad mouth us and try to represent your own company on our site. when you make a business they let you know what names are available. companies in the same area have name differences by one letter all the time thats life, get over it and stop crying, if you have more complaints you should find us on the cover of the phone book, our business office is on there too we would more then love to show you our licenses. we are new to the area and i have been plumbing for over 30 years and most of my staff have been doing it for 5+years with license as well. i hate giving out bad reviews cause i know it hurts businesses, but this is fair. be more mature then a 5 year old
