Best Plumbing Services in Austin, TX

Called Brad a few days ago asking about replacing our old shower valve temperature control.  Ive called numerous other plumbers from yelp and they all asked me to described what I wanted and was able to give me an estimate.  Others even asked me to text them a picture of what I needed repaired.   And i know estimate is an estimate, it might be a lot more , it might be less.  No way for them to get an accurate price until the see the issue in person.

But Brad seemed like he was in a rush.  Didnt really ask me to describe what I needed done.  He just went straight ahead to his it will be $95 for me to look at it for the first hour and theres 1000 different valves out there so no way for me to give an estimate .  I mean why not ask me to describe what the valve looks like, or send you a picture of it, etc?  It just sounded like that his priority was the $95 first hour.  I understand business is business, but sounded like he wasnt interested from the begininng.

If you want quality, competitive prices, and fast, friendly service you want to hire Blue Dragon.  I needed 2 toilets serviced. New tank bolts and a new 1/4 turn cutoff valve on one.  A new flange and flange bolts on the other.  Requesting bids via Yelp rocks.  Gilbert responded quickly and his pricing was fair and his billing and scheduling process was up front, clear, and easy to grasp.  True to his word he called in advance of showing up and he showed up on time.  He did all that work in an hour.  It would have taken me all day.  He had all his parts, tools, and stuff needed to avoid making a mess all with him.  He moved through each job so fast i actually missed his putting in the new valve and I was standing right there to watch and learn and lend a hand if needed.  He's a plumbing ninja.  Thumbs up for his killer truck.  Spotless, well organized and well stocked.  None of the bogus I don't have that basic, common part in my dirt wagon truck that looks like a family of possums live in and set a bomb off inside it and now I need to drive to the plumbing supply and I'll be back in an hour BS I had with Johnny Rooter's so called plumber the last time I hired a plumber.  Enough with me bad mouthing what I mistakenly thought was the competition.  Gilbert J and Blue Dragon live up to the reviews and exceeded expectations.  Oh and thanks for the solid recommendation to try the Puerto Rican chicken fricassee at Chago's on N Lamar.  It was great.

We used Rooter-Man for septic problems and a clogged pipe and were very pleased with the service. They arrived when stated and quickly got the job done, cleaning up after as well. David Coucke is such a pleasure to work with. He came out several times and explained everything, answering all of our questions. Byron Lewis came to pump out our septic and again when we needed a new septic pump. He was very informative and personable, too.

Theo and his trainee Paul were thorough and professional. They recommended an area wholesale supplier for a toilet that I needed or they could go get it for us if so desiree for a small fee. The labor costs were fair, the toilet repair has been reliable. I will go with them again when our household next has need of a plumbing service.

I wish I could speak to the quality of work that A&T Service Plumbing provides, but they are 0 for 2 on showing up with the right equipment - or even showing up.

I called specifically to schedule someone to run a camera down our sewer line for inspection after a few issues with the line. The first time, the technician arrived 90 minutes late (without advanced warning) and did not event have camera equipment. After he rattled off about how they only have one camera, I rattled off about how I specifically requested that someone come out with one. He said we would have to reschedule. For an appointment specifically scheduled to run a camera down the sewer line they sent out a guy without a camera!

When I called to express my frustration, the appointment was rescheduled and I was promised that someone would come with a camera. Well, I will never know if the second serviceman had a camera or not, because s/he never showed up and never called advising about running late. They called to explain there was a scheduling mistake and offered to come out as soon as possible, and I appreciated them owning up to the mistakes made, however, I had to share that with the mistakes thus far I was no longer confident in having them potentially do work. I wasted 2.5 hours on A&T Service Plumbing and have nothing to show for it: no estimate, no proposal, nothing. I hardly doubt they would comp me 2.5 hours of their time having wasted 2.5 hours of my time.

Dave is fast, efficient and conscientious in his work. He replaced my shower faucet, and when it turned out that the manufacturer's valve was defective, he came back to my house and worked with me to finish the job at no extra charge, even though it wasn't his fault. He had to go get a new part and return the old one, and then came back to my place once again to do it right.

This is somebody you can trust - he not only knows what he is doing, but also stands behind his work. Thanks, Dave!

We are remodeling our kitchen and needed a plumber to install our new  sink and plumbing. I contacted Abel and explained what needed to be done. He was able to schedule an appt around our work schedule with no issues. When he arrived he noticed the drain n to my new sink was on there opposite side of where the plumbing was. Abel did what needed to be done to make a new outlet for the plumbing hook up with no problem at all. It took about an hr to get everything done. Abel is very polite, courteous, and professional The cost was even more reasonable that other plumbing companies that I called. I would definitely recommend him

I was so impressed with Braulio!  He responded right away on Yelp and came out the next day.  My water heater needed to be replaced, a couple tub spouts connected and a toilet installed.  He did it all that morning and was done by early afternoon.  He was incredibly friendly, professional and efficient.  He explained everything I'd need to know for the future and double checked everything I was having issues with to make sure everything was in order when he left.  I would 100% hire him again for any plumbing needs.  I highly, highly recommend!  I'm so happy to have had such a hassle-free experience.  :)

We had them out recently to try and figure out why we had a puddle in our yard. He was quick to get back to us, and we loved that he was located in Manor. We also appreciated his knowledge and honesty when he correctly stated that it was a problem with the city's water line. We will for sure hire him again if we ever have another need for a plumber.

I had to call Jim one evening at a little before 7 pm because a pipe had broken and it was going to get below freezing that night AND we needed water.  Jim came right away was  very professional and obviously well versed in his knowledge.  He did an emergency repair in order for us to get the water turned back on.  
He came back a few days later to complete the repair, he applied the money I paid for the emergency call to the final repair (which was great).  Again, Jim was incredibly  professional and very personable.   I will call him again and I highly recommend him to any one who needs a plumber.

According to my usual review etiquette Stan's would receive 4 stars because I original made my appointment via their online calendar tool (and nobody showed up).  However, due to the stellar in-person service that I got from the tech, Price, who showed up at my house after I called in, I'm willing to add that extra star back in to the rating.

Price was courteous and communicative.  I like to talk things out and explore all the angles & options and he obliged with a smile (hidden behind his mask)  Did I mention he was appropriately conscientious about Covid safety and distance?!  He was able to troubleshoot my issue and get me patched up promptly so that our AC would become operable in this ATX heat.  I think I'm going to need a system soon (hoping to make it thru summer), and when I do Stan's will be high on the list because of employees like this.

Needed a new hose bib installed as it snapped off. They completed the job in less than an hour after arriving the same morning I called.

We had a gas leak and Plumb & Order came out on short notice to help. From the scheduler who found a way to get a team to our location faster than I imagined, to the the in-person team that quickly and competently identified the problem, we had a great experience with Plumb & Order.

These guys were great!  They are thorough and dependable and have very competitive pricing.  After reading all the reviews on Yelp, I gave them a call.  They came to my house the same day to give me an estimate. I appreciated the fact that they didn't try to wrangle me into business by forcing me to pay a service fee up front for an estimate (unlike many of the other companies around town).  They replaced 2 tubs in my house in a day, they came back a week or so later after the tile work was done to fit the faucets and made sure the job was done right.  

Additionally, they are really nice!  It is a bonus when having your house torn up to have nice people working there:).  I would use them again and again- can't say enough great things about Thunderbird Plumbing!

i would give a half star if it was possible.

maybe he is good at fixing water heaters, but i had him redo the plumbing in our old house. Bath tub needed replacing as the drain hole had rusted out beyond repair, new tankless hot water heater and had all new copper underneath the house.

after a couple of months first problem we had we noticed that our tub (new) began to rust around the drain again. it looked as though the tub was dropped on the drain hole (prior to installation) causing a large portion of the ceramic coating to be chipped, thus the rust.

we called mark back and asked him what this could be from...his response was, that it was the manufacturers fault. after calling the manufacturer, they claim that the tubs are sent via conveyer belt into the truck, then delivered to the store. therefore, they would never have the opportunity to DROP a tub.

basically he installed a tub that either he dropped or the person he bought it from dropped. by this time, all of the tile around the tub had been redone and his response was, to just clean it more often. WOW, thanks for installing a damaged rusting tub.

recently, we had our pier and beam house leveled and noticed that all the copper that he installed underneath our house, was just sitting on the ground nor was it insulated.  it was supposed to be tacked up to the underside of the house.  paid full price, for half-priced work. Good Luck Mark

i guess i wouldnt be so angry, if he would have provided some possible solutions, but all he said was ,there is nothing i can do.

Having been previously screwed over by myriad con artists and incompetents in the Austin area, I now ask these professionals if they're bonded, licensed and insured. I messaged Olvin to see if he could help fix the tile job that had been botched by one such incompetent and this was his response. Looks like I found another one.

We discovered a leak after coming back from vacation. I contacted Scott from Spot-On Plumbing after the water mitigation company found the source and he came the same day, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it promptly. He was knowledgable, upfront, and was able to identify other major and minor issues that were the cause of the leak. I'd highly recommend Scott to anyone who needs repairs done efficiently!

I recognize that I can be a fairly difficult consumer and if I feel ripped off, I will do everything I can to insure other folks hear about it in the hopes of saving them some grief.

That's the benefit of Yelp...

On the flipside...  When I come across someone who is priced fairly and displays integrity and competence in their profession, I love to share it.

These 5 star reviews are no joke people.  I've had Nick out to my house several times and if you can get him out, do it.

My water pressure has been horrible for a long time and my neighborhood plumber, who will go unnamed because he lives right next door, never got to the root of the problem.

Nick did...  And for that, I am very grateful.  I was showering with a trickle until he showed up and figured out the city needed to come out and fix a leak.  Nick wouldn't even charge me because there was nothing for him to do.  - He's great.
