Best Plumbing Services in Austin, TX

Wayne's Plumbing Plumbing Service
I will never use another plumber!  Wayne is the best, and his wife that does all the behind the scenes!  I am the girl that calls 10 people to get prices before I commit, and I don't believe I will ever have to do that again in the plumbing department.  These guys gave us a great deal on a MAJOR remodel job, and were professional, courteous and very punctual!

We really appreciate Donald and crew. He was able to pencil us in  quickly to look at a potential problem with the gas line into our HVAC unit. He tracked down the problem quickly and even called our HVAC company to tell them what parts they needed to replace. Very thankful for Donald and will be calling them for our plumbing needs in the future.

Aloha Plumbing Plumbing Service
I needed my kitchen faucet replaced and I needed someone to get it right the first time. Installer was very knowledgeable and professional. He quickly identified some old outdated parts under my sink that needed to be replaced in order to maximize the efficiency of the new sink. Although the price went up from original agreement, I felt it was still a reasonable deal for the overall service. I highly recommend this company if you want quality service on the first try.

Crow's Plumbing Heating & Air Plumbing Service
Local Plumbing had all the opportunity in the world to provide excellent customer service but instead intentionally choose to dropped the ball.
We were in a state of an emergency last on Sunday Aug 4th. All toilets in the house and shower (Non-sewer water backing up) were not functioning proper, eg clear water come from base of toilets etc. So having a home warranty contract membership (HWA) we contacted them immediately that evening to see if anyone was on called or available for 'after hours emergencies. After speaking with the on call answering service operator and promising someone would call us back shortly, but  that call never came. My wife and I contacted HWA earlier monday and the vendor Josh Beck Pipe Dr 24/7 was scheduled to come out early Monday morning but after my wife reviewed their ratings and reviews I decided I did not want to risk placing my entire plumbing system in their care. So I had my claim reassigned to another one of the vendors in their network, yours truly--Local Plumbing selected because an initial positive experience on another job that Paul was assigned to (replaced garbage disposal) earlier this year. As there were no availabilities Monday their earliest one was a 9:00am slot on Tuesday morning Aug 6th 2019 and although the urgency of the matter remain intact, I accepted. My appointed was scheduled for 9:00am-9:15am (time window) so as they say-- one thing leads to another. Local Plumbing starts off downhill instead of gradually going downhill. Tues morning Trevino (Technician) arrives 9:45am-9:53am, so much for punctuality, but not terribly late, so I put that aside in my mind because maybe he had a valid reason, but he never mentioned it and neither do I, since we have bigger fish to fry;  but there is still time for redemption. Now, Trevino appears to be a seemingly pleasant individual, just not a very proficient and organize individual. We have a problem already, Trevino can't start the job because he doesn't have the big machine (meaning snake/auger machine, he has the small one, what ever that mean? Isn't it standard you would use the same size for most residential? Trevino says he need to drive back to the shop and get it. I figured this should take 45-50 mins, but no can do, Trevino left shortly at 10:00am and didn't get back until well after 12:00pm. When my wife called to asked me how things were coming along, I told her that he had left and had not returned. My wife called him back as she had his cell number since her phone is the primary contact number. When she asked where was he and most longer was gonna be? He told her he needed to dropped some tools off to another technicians on another job. (really? postpone our emergency repair while you ran around to other job assignments)Trevino finally returned and as he begins to start snaking the cleanout drain (the city side) he said the snake was not functioning right. He said that someone had left the drain snake and failed to informed anyone. Well, after wrestle with it for a short time. Trevino tells me to: reassign the job to someone else because he didn't want to get hurt or hurt me. (I agree, an electric drain snake can be dangerous, but I could have removed myself from the equation by standing way back or going in the house) are you frigging kidding me!? It is after 1:00pm and I'm absolutely certain there will be no available vendor until sometime the next day or even later. Trevino loads up and drives off without so much as another word. I called Mike at the office and he apparently was already aware of the situation, but why does Mike not take the initiative to call and reach out to me first, to at least try to make amends somehow? Perhaps offer to reschedule or to show some concern or effort to remedy our situation. Mike said he was sorry but that phrase came across as a generic response because it was only after I contacted him and expressed my disapproval and provided negative feedback. When I recapped to him how the entire ordeal had gone, and emphasized to him that tools, machines and work related equipment should be inspected regularly to ensure they are functional, and any plumber worth his salt should know to have all necessary tools for the job before being dispatched. He never addressed the tardiness, the lack of preparation for the assignment, culminating in them not being able to complete job because of faulty equipment. Bottom line--they took us for granted at a time when we vouched for them with our warranty company, and was dire need to resolve our plumbing dilemma. The clincher was when we learned   later on, that Trevino was attempting to snake the city side clean-out drain and was unaware of it, just as I was, but with him being the expert, he should have recognized this immediately. After calling Roto-Rooter technicians to come out, amazingly this is the first thing he noticed, just a short distance of 1.5ft from the city clean-out is the residential clean-out drain.

Just -In -Time Plumbing Plumbing Service
Justin and his crew are crazy busy but managed to squeeze in the time to help us. We were getting the runaround from our home warranty company so we called him based on the reviews. He diagnosed the problem correctly and is even helping us with documentation for our insurance claim. Don't hesitate to use his services, he may seem a little tense but it's because as I said, he had a lot of calls to deal with.

BG Plumbing Plumbing Service
On a Wednesday evening when the temperature was in the 20's our water heater stopped working. We called a number of the big name plumbers. One came out the next morning and gave us a quote. As you can imagine we were tempted to accept it even though we thought it high. Taking a cold shower makes one desperate. But we looked on Yelp under Ten Best Plumbers and called BG Plumbers. The owner, came to the house 30 minutes after the call. He gave us a quote that was $600 less than the other firm. He did the job in an hour. We are extremely pleased.

Peanut Plumbing Plumbing Service
I know every plumber in Austin is busy.  This team did a great job several. months ago putting in a tankless water heater in my home, but I now I have a kitchen faucet switch out and I have called them 4 times and each time they tell me to text them with the job request and then they never respond - NEVER.  So I have called and texted a total of 8 times over 2 weeks.

At least give me the courtesy to tell me your too busy or recommend someone else to call - but don't leave a paying customer hanging.  This job was not an emergency but what if it had been??

I guess the job is not large enough.  So disappointed as I wanted to utilize their services to install tankless water heaters in two other homes.

W.B. Plumbing Company Plumbing Service
Sewage suddenly started backing up in every drain in the house in Johnson City; not a good situation. Called WB on Sunday and they were out on Monday. It's been awhile so can't remember the names of the two gentlemen who expertly and quickly remedied the situation, but top notch job. Highly recommend W.B. Plumbing Company.

A Model Plumbing Plumbing Service
Guys came over so fast to help get our frozen busted hot water heater in the attic turned all the way off so our second unit would properly work.  They are working until 11pm helping people during this crazy 2021 winter storm with their own guys sliding off the roads to help others.

Fox Service Company Plumbing Service
I'll start by saying its unfortunate to be writing this bc Fox was referred to me by a very trusted neighbor who has had good experiences. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I scheduled a tech to come out just to check the functioning of my unit; nothing was wrong with it, but the unit is getting old, so I wanted to be as proactive as possible. After just about 10 minutes of looking the tech told me the unit was old, not functioning correctly and needed to be replaced. I asked how much that may run, and he flippantly replied, that's a loaded question; could be $6k, could be $18k. When I asked if he could give a more targeted estimate based on the size of my current unit and home, he said the tag was missing from the unit, so there was no way for him to know it's size. His responses raised red flags and were quite honestly, very condescending . He then talked about how we could band-aid fix it by adding Freon, but there was no way to know how much (which was a legitimate answer); he said he could do a leak test on the spot which would help better answer that. Unfortunately, I fell for this suggestion (to the cost of $399), and sure enough he found a leak. He referred me to their sales department to discuss next steps of repair vs. replacement

Since I was not pleased with my experience and concerned about the validity of the diagnosis, given the unit still seemed to be functioning just fine, I got a 2nd opinion (also a trusted referral). Low and behold, the second opinion found nothing wrong with the unit minus a faulty damper and the need to clean the outside condenser of some mud. The tech even commented on how impressed he was with how the unit functioned given its age.

It is frustrating and disappointing to think of the hundreds of dollars actually wasted (and the thousands of dollars potentially wasted)...an unfortunate yet good reminder to trust your gut!
