After 25+ years of home ownership across 3 different states, we FINALLY found a reliable, professional sprinkler repair company. Their technician, Josh, showed up early, then diagnosed and fixed our issues in just one hour. Seriously, before Josh showed up we thought our system would need to be replaced all together; he had everything completely fixed in a jiffy (at a very reasonable price) and assured us we were going to be just fine. Phew! (Thanks, Josh!)

UPDATE: We asked AUSTEX back to fix some sprinkler heads and irrigation wiring that needed repair. Josh showed up again (early) and did a great job. He's happy to educate, too. Good dude.

We had massive mold infestation in our two story, 4129sf home, and had to replace three HVAC units and all ducts.  Afterward, we had 22 large holes in our ceilings where ducts were removed, and three areas where drywall had been removed in our walls.  The damage was extensive.  Our remediation company, Blackhill, in Austin, Tx recommended four construction companies.  One company sent a representative and they never called back.  Another gave us a bid, but the next day the owner emailed to say that his company couldn't do the job.  Too big of a job.  We interviewed John Flores, the owner of Colony Homes Home Maintenance and repair services.  He was not intimidated by the amount and difficulty of work, and said we would never the know anything has happened.  I didn't believe him, because the damage was so extensive.  But, we hired him anyway because we were becoming desperate.  He sent in a large drywall crew.  They arrived the day he said they would, and quickly, over a two day period, squared all the holes, and put up the drywall.  The next day a large drywall finishing crew arrived, and spent a few days on the massive amount of work.  Then John sent in a large painting crew which essentially had to repaint the entire house.  Then he sent in a large cleaning crew.  Literally, everyone of the crews was impressive.  The worked quickly, were friendly, and communicated with us in a way that caused us to have confidence in them.  The bottom line is that John delivered in ways that far exceeded our expectations.  I was wrong and John was right.  We couldn't tell anything had happened.  Now, I'm 72 and have worked with a number of contractor type firms, and I don't remember one of them who met my expectations.  Yes, I'm a perfectionist, but I'm fair. American Plumbing & Heating have always been a huge help to us.  It's always an emergency and we have always been able to count on Felix.  I don't know who else I would call if he were not around.  He is responsive and makes the problems go away!

After using Eric for about 10 jobs now (I have two rental properties in Austin and work with Eric on my parent's house), I have to say that he is still at the top of my list to call when I have an issue w plumbing at my rental houses which are on the older side (1940, 1960, 1980).  The latest was a leak from upstairs (different house than previous review) and he fixed it. I waited a couple weeks to fix the dry wall. Today was the day. We opened the ceiling and the wall and guess what? We found another slow leak but from a different part of the ceiling that would not have been detected for many many years and had been slowly dripping down on a supporting beam, creating--you guessed it--rot.  While Eric couldn't come out, his amazing partner Fabian did.  Even tho he had multiple calls that day, Fabian did manage to squeeze me in and found the joint that was the culprit and fixed it in a jiffy.  Thank God because a huge chunk of the ceiling was exposed and I only had the dry wall guys that day.  Yes, they are busy.  Yes, it can be hard to get back to people right away.  I've called and left messages too.  But the thing is, Austin plumbers (or at least the very good ones that really know what they are doing and are straight up) are very hard to pin down much less get them to come up much less get them to fix.  Eric and Fabian are one of the very very best. I will wait on a plumbing issue if I can and go with Eric or Fabian every single time.  They will be straight up, give you the time and work with you.

The only place you want to call. I've had them out for a leaky shower and a leaking water heater. Every time, Mike thoroughly explains my options and goes through why everything is happening. The prices are better than fair and what's most important is you know what you're paying for. I don't even worry about potential plumbing issues in the future knowing there's someone so reliable in my area.

We used CP Plumbing and everything went real well.   The technician that came out was professional, nice, identified the problem with both toilets and was in and out in about an hour and half.  We will use their services again if we need to.

If you need a good, honest, straight talking skilled plumber, get with David Richards and his team at Clear and Present Plumbing.  I had a water leak in my yard and got on Yelp and looked up plumbers and sent out a request to several for quotes and availability through the Yelp app. I got 3 replies but David's was the first and most detailed, so I decided on him and his company. I finalized the appointment for Feb 9, 2018 through the Yelp app. David and his apprentice Brother James provided a courtesy text that they were in route to my home and arrived during the appointed time. I was very pleased. These guys wasted no time in getting started, finding the issue and proceeded to make the repairs all while keeping me informed of the repair progress.  The issue was a bad elbow joint that broke from ground shift and root growth. David and James replaced this with a stronger 90 degree joint and encased in sand after removing the roots so the repair would hold and even provided a 1 year warranty on the fix. So it was better than ever now and the final cost of the fix was actually $25 less than the original guesstimate. I was beyond pleased. To top it off,  David sent the detailed invoice by email and it had a link attached to make the payment easily with a multitude of payment methods which was super convenient. I will not hesitate to contact Clear and Present Plumbing again for my plumbing needs. VERY RECOMMENDED!!

when you call Christianson A/C for a sales person - to upgrade an   old unit - you are given 2 choices -  take it or leave it.  No contact with the sales person unless you call them. they  use to be the best but I have my doubts.  surely someone out there cares about the customer..

What happens when Glenn comes over to fix a leaky hose-bib valve ($7 part @ 10 min job) and the husband is not there? HE SAVES THE DAY!! Not only did he fix the problem for the low, low price of $1550!! Apparently he found some open gas lines too.. Whew.. if it weren't for Glenn, we would still have all that money! Thanks for taking full advantage of the situation, Glenn!   10/10 will continue to call him for my money back.. We had a great experience with Radiant and technician, Kyle.  Our Navien NPE-240A NG tankless water heater developed a problem on Sunday (probably our fault, because we had cleaned the flow sensor).  We had no hot water and had guests arriving the next day.  We spent much of Sunday afternoon trying to figure out the problem.  We called the company that had installed our Navien in 2015, and their outgoing message indicated they were booked up for the next couple weeks!
Called Radiant, and was able to make an appt on the phone for dispatch on Monday morning.  Kyle arrived at about 10 AM Monday and told us up front the fee to diagnose the problem ($219).  That seemed reasonable to us.  He diagnosed the problem (O ring missing on flow sensor - no doubt from our cleaning) and replaced the O ring.  He also ordered us a couple extra O rings.  We were up and running with hot water before 11 AM.  Total cost - $219.
