The frigid temps caused the pipes in the laundry room to freeze along with the drain that removes the water from the washing machine.   After trying to solve the problem on our own and were unsuccessful, I called Jeff at JSR Plumbing and he saved the day!  He took the time to Facetime with me and assess the problem prior to coming to our home.  We had some success, but asked him to come and check it out first hand.  Jeff was able to show us what was going on and fix the situation. Being a first time home owner and not being too savvy on plumbing issues, Jeff was patient and answered all our questions.  We highly recommend JSR Plumbing if you are looking for an honest, reliable plumber.

I called them regarding a clogged garbage disposal...they ran a snake through. It seemed to work better, but not like before. Well the next day....right back to the same. $225 for nothing.

I called early in the morning and a pleasant person answered the phone.  The plumber showed on time (actually a little earlier :-)) and was very friendly.  Additionally,  they quickly solved my plumbing problem.  I would use them again in the future.

Juan and crew did and awesome job!  Impressive to see how much new technology they had at their disposal to help solve things quickly here.  This would have been a much harder job for most people.  They also got the job done at the price they quoted before arriving.

I am writing this review years later and several thousands of dollars later.  ROC came in to replace my ejector pump.  The work I thought was great until the pump went out in less than a year.  He sent someone out right away to repair it.  His worker said why would he install a cheap store bought pump.  So they replaced it will a good Zoller pump.  I had a back up issue a few months later and was told it would be a week before he can get to me.  When I got loud with him about the time frame, he said I cost him too much already.  I had a unleaded issue and another sewer company reviewed the system and said ROC'S work did not meet minimum code.  So, when they took out the old system, the pipe joints were not glued properly.  The new service would have charged me about the same price, but would have been done right.  Just wanted to tell my story.

I called Specialty Plumbing for a leak in my bathroom that was going down to my first floor.  Tile had to be ripped out and the plumber, Kevin, told me he was not sure if the part needed to be replaced or not so I decided to just order a new part so the tile could be ripped out and the faucet fixed all in the same day.  My brother came over later that day and ended up fixing the problem without the new faucet.  I called Kevin back to see how much I owed him and he said, Nothing.  I am so used to dishonest plumbers that I would recommend this company because they are nice and honest.  He was at my home for at least an hour helping me order a new faucet, etc.  Kevin was highly recommended and although I did not use him to fix the problem I know he is honest and will recommend him and use him next time I need a plumber.

Excellent service on Hyde Park, where it is often hard to get trades people to accept jobs. Fixed leaking sinks in bathroom and kitchen. I am out of town and have a tenant. He called them ASAP and showed up promptly. Texted me pictures of the work in progress with estimate. Quality work. Fair price. Courteous and polite. Will definitely use again if needed. A gem.

Joe saved us at Salon Neapolitan!! Being a hair salon, it is extremely important to have hot water. Bad stuff happens on a weekend or at night (like a broken hot water heater)-I called Joe at 10:00 pm at night and he answered himself. I called him based on his 5 star Yelp reviews and because the other big name plumbers would not answer their phones. Joe totally saved the day by showing up for us early in the morning with his cheery and professional crew of guys, removed and replaced the heater and had us back in business and ready to roll before the start of our busy day ahead.  What a great guy and I love small business success stories as I am in Business for myself, as well. We needed some sewer repair done in the front yard, as well as installation of a sewer cleanout. The communication and work was both quick and excellent. I highly recommend them.

Our technician, Martin F., was great! My family and I had been dealing with a kitchen sink that would not drain for quite some time now, and had literally been draining it ourselves with a bucket and dumping the water into the toilet every time we washed dishes. We tried everything from plungers to Drano to using a drain snake and everything in between until we finally gave in and decided to call a professional. Our appointment/arrival window was from 10AM - 12PM but Martin arrived between 5-10 minutes before 10AM which we definitely appreciated! He was very friendly, willing to answer any questions we had, and got right to work to assess the situation. He set clear expectations about all the possible outcomes as well as what it everything would cost and gained our consent before starting the work. At the first attempt to rod the line it did not seem to work and the sink still would not drain properly, but he did not give up there. Instead of just telling us we may need to have the kitchen re-piped, he did his best to find out why it didn't work. Turns out it was just because of the way our house is, and the set up of such older pipes, the rod was going upward towards the roof vent instead of downward. Martin then tried it again but this time guiding the rod the best he could in the opposite direction (down). I am grateful to say that he was successful in clearing the line and our sink now drains the way it should! Very happy with the level of service we received and the cost was reasonable. Ralph recently handles two jobs for me at a rental unit in the city.  He did a great job, showed up on time and communicated the issues to me.  Couldn't ask for anything more and will definitely use Ralph again in the future.

We have been using Hinsdale Plumbing Services for years. We always thought Victor and his team to be knowledgable, courteous, and honest.  However, it wasn't until we purchased a new home and had an emergency sewer problem where we experienced exactly how dedicated and professional they were. Our emergency left us waterless. Victor stopped everything for 5 days; working tirelessly until the issue was completely resolved. He took on the role of general contractor, digging up our yard and removing a truckload of concrete, and completely installing a new sewer line. We don't know what we would have done without him. We are truly grateful for his help; fixing the complete disaster left behind from another plumber. I wouldn't dare trust anyone else.

We called Good Plumbing a few days after moving in to our fixer upper bungalow when the water seemed to be trickling out of our shower.  I called early in the morning and received a phone call a few minutes later setting up an appointment for later in the day.  I told the man who took the call we found them on Yelp and a historic bungalow website and noticed they had a special for July.  I ran off  to work and my husband handled the appointment.
It turns our there wasn't much that the plumber could do expect blow some air in the pipe.  He took off the faucet and tried to move some of the gunk that seemed to be loose in the pipes which took about 20 min.  We now have just enough water for a shower. He told my husband that we would need to bust out the wall and replace the pipes for a true fix.  
We knew that eventually we would need to replace pipes and re-do most of the plumbing, so I understand that he was only able to band-aid the situation.
The cost for the 20 min appt was $245. That was without the Yelp discount of $47. I called two days later to explain the situation and ask about the discount (normally I'm not that cheap but felt that anything would make that $245 feel better) and he said he would check into it and send a check for the discount.  Then I never heard another word...no call back or check. Bummer.
I understand that plumbing may cost more than I expected, but I do expect a business to honor the discounts they place on Yelp or at least follow up with my questions.

Great company to do business with quick to get your problem solved and work very efficiently and affordable. Also do not try to sell you unnecessary services.

Pete is a very knowledgeable plumber.  He is straightforward with the scope of the work and pricing and a very fair person to work with.  I appreciate his craftsmanship and use him whenever I have the need for a plumber.

Excellent work. Clean professional and courteous.  Explained what needed to be done in terms I could understand and explained all alternatives.  I received cost estimates for each alternative and pros and cons for each.  This was actually a pleasant plumber visit. I had received a prior quote from another company which was 150% more.   They cleaned up extremely well. I would highly recommend you contact them for your next need.  They are also diversified and off additional home services. Such as water heater service and humidifier services.
