Best Plumbing Services in Chicago, IL
The frigid temps caused the pipes in the laundry room to freeze along with the drain that removes the water from the washing machine. After trying to solve the problem on our own and were unsuccessful, I called Jeff at JSR Plumbing and he saved the day! He took the time to Facetime with me and assess the problem prior to coming to our home. We had some success, but asked him to come and check it out first hand. Jeff was able to show us what was going on and fix the situation. Being a first time home owner and not being too savvy on plumbing issues, Jeff was patient and answered all our questions. We highly recommend JSR Plumbing if you are looking for an honest, reliable plumber.

We needed a plumber for toilet and sink backup. Of course, it was 2:15 on a Friday! I looked up plumbers in my area. I saw that Kevin Szabo had several 5 star reviews.....now I know why! Quick response and they did an excellent job and the price was much less than we expected. I am so happy that we now have a plumber!

I needed a plumber in a hurry! My basement floor drain was backing up when I went downstairs. I couldn't get hold of my go to plumber so I started searching Yelp. Flush Plumbing had some excellent reviews and 24 hour service so I called them at 7:00 in the morning, I was told the plumber would get right back to me and within 5 minutes he called! He listened to my story and said he would have someone out within the hour...30minutes later there they were. Dustin looked at the problem, checked the cleanout in the yard and decided they could get at the problem from the basement. Within 20 minutes they had me back in service and for a very reasonable price.
I have been gouged by several local reputable companies before and after reading the reviews of them on Yelp I see I wasn't their only victim.
Flush will now be my first call for my plumbing needs!

Best experience!!! I had a crisis in my home and Go Rooter came to my home immediately and it was late at night. I received an excellent assessment of my home disaster and a very reasonable price. My work was completed in one day! And I had major damage from a water heater that flooded the upstairs and collapsed my kitchen ceiling downstairs big time. I have never had work completed as stated by any contractor or worker. I was skeptical of the time of completion but it was done as stated, in one day!!Go Rooter is a reliable business, not pushy or seeking to take advantage of people, especially with emergency situations. The plumbers are certified the workers are very experienced, efficient and knowledgeable. Thank you!! Great job! Strongly recommend Go Rooter!!

Great family owned business. The prices are competitive and their work is excellent. The crew is friendly and they try to clean and keep the area as they found it. The owner, Rocco, is very knowledgeable and honest. I highly recommend this company.

I choose my businesses mostly based on yelp reviews from real customers. I am so glad I listened to the reviews and went with Kevin at Specialty Plumbing Co. He's probably the most honest and helpful person I have ever hired for a job. He didn't try to up sell me and explained in full detailed every part of the job he was doing and answered even a few questions about other issues I had not related to the job. Pricing was very reasonable compared to others. I am very pleased with the job he did and asked him if he could come help at my parents house as well. Would definitely hire again.

I contacted Dunbar Plumbing they came out the next day and fixed my water spigot and they were quick and cleaned up after themselves. The price was good and I will use again hopefully nothing soon but yes check them out.

With not much experience with plumbers I was hoping for honesty, quality and a fair price (as with all services). Mr. Mathieu responded to my quote request in less than 10 minutes, gave me a reasonable quote (not the cheapest and not the most expensive) and told me what time to expect him the next day. I think I should probably set my watch to him as he came by exactly when he said he would. He worked quickly, cleanly and took care of our issue before we could blink. He also came well under his initial quote.
This is a local business which I am always more inclined to support. Highly recommend D E Mathieu Plumbing.

Our technician, Martin F., was great! My family and I had been dealing with a kitchen sink that would not drain for quite some time now, and had literally been draining it ourselves with a bucket and dumping the water into the toilet every time we washed dishes. We tried everything from plungers to Drano to using a drain snake and everything in between until we finally gave in and decided to call a professional. Our appointment/arrival window was from 10AM - 12PM but Martin arrived between 5-10 minutes before 10AM which we definitely appreciated! He was very friendly, willing to answer any questions we had, and got right to work to assess the situation. He set clear expectations about all the possible outcomes as well as what it everything would cost and gained our consent before starting the work. At the first attempt to rod the line it did not seem to work and the sink still would not drain properly, but he did not give up there. Instead of just telling us we may need to have the kitchen re-piped, he did his best to find out why it didn't work. Turns out it was just because of the way our house is, and the set up of such older pipes, the rod was going upward towards the roof vent instead of downward. Martin then tried it again but this time guiding the rod the best he could in the opposite direction (down). I am grateful to say that he was successful in clearing the line and our sink now drains the way it should! Very happy with the level of service we received and the cost was reasonable. Thank you again, Martin!

Ralph recently handles two jobs for me at a rental unit in the city. He did a great job, showed up on time and communicated the issues to me. Couldn't ask for anything more and will definitely use Ralph again in the future.

These guys are really great! They were recommended by our neighbor. We've had them out twice now in the last month (our old house is ready for some upgrades!) Both times they came out within a matter of an hour of us calling them. Very courteous and friendly staff, as a woman its very important that I feel comfortable with vendors in case we needed to call them when I was the only one home. I felt completely at ease with these guys, extremely professional. They explained everything to my fiancee and I as they went and afterwards. They didn't push any services on us that we didn't need but they did thoroughly fix the problems. They worked fast and had everything they needed with them which helped keep the costs down both times. We will use them any time we have a pluming issue and highly recommend them!

I really wish I had the same experience with Good Plumbing...
The estimate went great, it was pretty clear that [name removed] knew what he was talking about and we thought the price they gave us was fair.
Unfortunately everything turned sour when beginning the actual work. The main problem was TERRIBLE communication. We arranged an appointment to meet the actual plumber on the first day of the work, along with the building maintenance people. [name removed] called 10 minutes before the appointment to let us know that they did not think they needed to be there to meet us (the appt. had been talked about on 3 different occasions). We had driven 45 minutes (we had not moved into our apt. yet) and taken time off of work for this appointment.
Everything kept getting worse and worse. Since the meeting was canceled, we were not able to meet with the plumber before he began the work, and consequently the job was done wrong and our shut off valves were put in the wrong spots (behind future appliances). We were on a tight schedule and had to shut off water for the entire building to start the work, so there was no way to have the valves moved the next day. Now if we need to use our emergency shut off valves we will have to pull out our dishwasher from under the counter to access them.
We explained the technicalities of the job repeatedly (and provided scaled drawings) but were not listened to. Eventually a very bad situation arose when the work was not finished on time and we were not told - they knew the electricians were supposed to start the next day but did not feel it was their responsibility to tell us. Delays happen very frequently with contractors, and we did not mind that the work took longer than estimated, but what was a big problem for us was the way [name removed] talked to us and told us we were crazy to think they would contact us and that we should have a general contractor for the job. My father and step father are architects, and my husband has worked in this field as well - it is obviously unreasonable to think you would need to hire a general contractor for a small kitchen job in a condo building. I doubt all you other Yelpers had GC's for your small jobs, right?
The next day I called to check on the status of the job, since [name removed] made it clear that we needed to chase them down if we wanted to know what was happening, and the conversation did not go well at all causing a very stressful scene.
We really wanted to just stop working with them and forbid them to come to our apartment again but being desperate (and not wanting to be homeless) we had to bite the bullet and let the plumber finish the job.
Both [name removed] and the actual plumber [name removed] were decent to deal with, and we wish we had only dealt with them but unfortunately our experience with Good Plumbing was very stressful and insulting. [name removed] kept criticizing how we were handling our apartment remodel and mentioning they do not like to deal with people who do not have general contractors. Yes this was our first home and it was very overwhelming, but the plumbing was a very small part of the work and it was by far the most unpleasant experience.
This could have been a very simple and pleasant job, and I wish we could leave the 5 stars that others are leaving. We don't think it is unreasonable to show up as scheduled and as discussed (especially when meeting the client, knowing they are going to be late to work for this meeting), and most importantly - let your customer know what is going on with the project!
The name Good Plumbing is actually not a bad description, because our plumber [name removed] actually did nice clean work (except for the initial problem with the valves, which was not totally his fault since he was told not to meet us). However, in a service industry this is one company that has ruined what could have been a good job with incredibly unprofessional customer service.

I highly recommend All Plumbing. They provide plumbing services at a fair price and stand behind their work.
I have used them many times over the years and not once have I been disappointed. They are on time, clean and won't try to sell you additional services you don't need.
Recently the stationary tub wouldn't drain. I called All Plumbing and they were out the next day. I assumed it was the main line that needed rodding, as that has been the problem in the past. But it turned out to be a second line. The problem was quickly diagnosed and solved.
I'd add more, but now that I have a working stationary tub I'm heading back downstairs to finish the laundry.

I contacted him through yelp at like 10pm, it wasn't an emergency. In fact it was a consultation.
He came the next day, explained me all my options. I was so happy with the way he was treating me and my wife that I requested him to do one job on the spot and he did it fast, clean and correctly priced.
Will definitely work with him again.
