Pat and Jeff are plumbing gods.  After I did something really stupid...too stupid to mention here...Pat and Jeff came in a relieved a lot of stress with professionalism and humor.  If you need a plumber who's honest and gives it to you straight, look no further.  One of the biggest fears as a homeowner is not getting stiffed by plumbers, electricians, etc. because after 1 minute they know if you know anything about their craft and can take advantage.  Not these plumbers.  Great guys.  Thanks Pat and Jeff, you guys are fantastic, but I hope I don't see you again.  I mean that in the highest respect.

We just had another (our third) perfect experience with Mac, again involving a water heater.  We moved to a new place where the water heater was on its last legs.  We woke up one morning to find that it was leaking.  We called Mac and he immediately answered (it was about 6 am).  He talked us through, looked at some pictures, diagnosed the problem (the tank had, as we anticipated, finally kicked the bucket) and told us he'd be there by 8:30 with a new water heater.  He got there when he said he would, with a great new heater on which he got us a good price, and had the whole thing installed and the old one taken out in less than an hour.  He also took the time to give us advice on how to deal with the wet carpet that had resulted from the leak, telling us exactly what we would need, where we could get it, and how to use it.

Mac is really a one-in-a-million plumber worth his weight in gold.  We are so glad we have found him and would recommend him to anyone in Chicago.

Our toilet flooded in the middle of the night on a Sunday. I didn't want to risk serious water damage, so I did a quick search & found fast response from Discount Plumbing. I requested a quote on yelp and they responded within minutes & they said a technician can come out & gives me a FREE quote with no obligation. They arrived in minutes and my toilet soon was able to flushing like it was brand new! I appreciate them walking in with booties and walking me through the whole process & answering my questions. Could not have asked for a better experience, especially for my first time needing a plumber in a high rise. Scotty was able to come out within 24 hours of the first call, and not only fixed our clogged sink but also gave us a few tips on other things around the sink that could be improved and even helped us do it right then and there. He was in and out, very nice, and charged a better rate than some of the other plumbers I talked to. Great experience and will use again for all plumbing issues!

Marlin is the man! I've had him replace a section of pipe in a very difficult area and it was no problem for him. He is efficient with his time without sacrificing quality. They always explain the differences of different products, for example Toilets, pipes, and ejector pumps. They also explain exactly what they are doing so that I know what I am being charged for. Rocket Plumbing has wonderful customer service, too! These guys are my go-to plumbers. And now they are the go-to plumbers for the other people in my building.

Thomas came out and assessed my basement plumbing situation quickly and accurately. We had several sewer issues including periodic flooding anytime the city main backed up from the street during super heavy rains.

Thomas worked with me to craft an economical solution and then his team got right tow work.

Dave, Romero, & Raul were a 3-man sewer swat team. They worked quickly and kept me informed all along the way.  We felt like they worked on our home as if it were their own - with care and respect.

I loved my experience with Windy City Plumbing. I asked for an online quote and got a reply right away. Jose accommodated my schedule and arrived on time.  I had a problem with my tub draining very slow and all the diy were not working.   Jose and Julio arrived and started work right away.  Not only did they fix my drain,  but they also gave me info about my house plumbing, fixed my slow flush toilet and answered questions that I had (new toilet in basement, which drain leads to what, etc.)  I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking.  I loved the price too! I was expecting an arm and a leg price since I have never dealt with plumbing before but I was very happy.

I can only say wonderful things about Eugene and George!  Our hot water heater started leaking (with nothing to drain it) on Friday night.  I messaged Eugene through Yelp around 10pm and he responded an hour later that he could likely help me on Saturday.  Eugene and George were at our house on Saturday by 1pm to fix our unit and installed quickly.  They even suggested a tray and pvc tubing to drain the tank should we have leaking again.

I would suggest these guys to anyone!  I would also use them for any future plumbing needs.

Since I used Yelp to find Sound Plumbing, I thought it was only fair to register and echo the reviews of others.  Despite it being Saturday afternoon, Kevin responded to my voicemail promptly, arrived at our place in Edgewater just a little later and had our kitchen sink up and running (with a much-improved pipe assembly) in no time.  Icing on the cake was a his incredibly reasonable price for a job well done.  HIGHLY recommended!!

We had a clogged sink and J Sewer was out within 15 minutes of our request and completed the work in under an hour. Very professional and would recommend for any plumbing issues!

I've not had much luck with plumbers, until now. The sewer line was clogged   and soggy toilet paper started to back up into the basement. I searched on line for a plumber, and saw the great reviews for Midwest Hydro Jetting on Yelp. I called, spoke with Mike, and explained the problem. I  was hoping for a quick fix since I had family staying with me.  Of course he was familiar with this type of back up, and said it might be a day or so until someone could come out, but if the day's jobs were finished early, he would send someone. He also gave me a price range for the work that would probably be needed to be done, which was very reasonable.  Luckily the day's jobs ended early, and Dan arrived in the late afternoon. He knew exactly what to do, and power rodded the line until it ran clear. The cost was very reasonable and I was given a 30 day warranty.  Unfortunately, the line backed up again after a few weeks. Dan came back out, with Jose, and power rodded again, with a different head on the line. What came out of that line on the end of the rod head  was disgusting. He called it a 'mush ball', or something like that. It was a mass of toilet paper, wipes, and a small piece of plastic or cellophane, and had been about 75ft down the line. I previously instructed everyone to not dispose of wipes, flushable or otherwise, in the toilets. Of course it was group denial as to anyone doing so.  Anyway, the warranty was honored,    the line has stayed clear, and I have removed every package of wipes from the house that I could find. Besides being knowledgeable, professional, and very efficient, Dan is very personable too. Most people don't call a plumber until it's a dire necessity. They have the advantage, and some use that advantage to make more of the situation, and up the cost of repair.  This time it was a pleasure to finally find a company that did not do that. This old house will probably need a plumber again at sometime, and I would not hesitate to call them again if anything else 'comes up'.   I would highly recommend Midwest Hydro Jetting to anyone in need of great plumber services.

We had an emergency gas line leak in our basement a day before we were supposed to go out of town on a Saturday. After confirming the leak with People's Gas, I quickly searched through YELP reviews and liked what I saw with Captain Rooter. They called back right away and within a little more than an hour, Patrick K. showed up at our door, quickly confirming the diagnosis and working skillfully to get it repaired.  He answered our questions, did great work, and reassured us that it was all fixed.  Problem solved -- very, very rapidly.  It doesn't get much better than that.

We had an electrical emergency with smoke filling our basement and no obvious source - scary!! I called Sims and Sons and they got here amazingly fast. Masked as appropriate, professional, courteous, diagnosed the problem quickly, and fixed it plus bonus points for educating us on what happened exactly and what we needed to do to prevent further issues. They will be my go-to company for electrical and plumbing going forward!!

Katy and Ivo were great to work with.  On time arrival for the job.  Fast and efficient work!  A leaking wax seal on the toilet was diagnosed and repaired, and the bathroom was cleaned and dried, in less than an hour.  We are very pleased to have found ABV Plumbing!

Poor communication also. Dimitri said he'd think about it, when I proposed a resolution where they paid for part and I'd pay for part of it. Then ghosted me. Also was very aggressive and mocking on the phone. Not someone you want to do business with.

Noticed our garbage disposal was leaking on a Sunday and sent Mike a text. An hour later, he was at my place installing the new unit. Fast, super friendly and got the job done without any issues. Quality experience across the board!

All the prior five stars reviews are correct. Juan and the gentleman that accompanied him did a fantastic job putting in a new toilet for me. Efficient, cleaned up everything afterwards, friendly, and most important...knowledgeable about plumbing. Extremely fair pricing. You get the sense he is a very honest individual and I sometimes get vibes from other professionals that they are trying to extract every dime they could from a job. I did not feel this at all with Juan. I didn't know anything about toilets and Juan spent time on the phone with me before I had even booked him for a job explaining details to look for that I wouldn't have known. Contacted him back once the toilet arrived and he promptly responded to my text with a day and time. Even took time after he finished the job to explain a separate issue I was having with one of my pipes regarding the washer (went down to the basement, etc.). I've stored his number in my phone and won't hesitate to call him back if any further plumbing issues should arise. He will be my go-to guy from here on out. 100% highly recommend.

Noel was fast, courteous and most importantly, clean! I think he left my bathroom cleaner than it was before the plumbing backup. He quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed it and cleaned up the sinks, cabinetry and countertops. He arrived within 30 mins of my call. I will definitely be calling Noel for all my plumbing needs!
