Mack is fantastic.  My hot water heater broke and needed repair quickly.  I called him, he came super fast, fair price, excellent workmanship and one less problem to worry about.  Definitely have been recommending him to friends who need plumbing work.  

Also, this was a difficult job... required digging and working in a tough space.  He got it done with no complaints.  Again, highly recommended!

Scotty's Plumbing must be on your go to list for plumbing service.  You will receive professional, friendly service with a contractor that actively communication with you.  Our issues were relatively minor.  A few photos shared with Scotty before his appointment allowed him to pre-diagnose the issue.  Pricing is more than fair.  Highly recommend Scotty!

The most horrible thing that has ever happened to me was my kitchen sink becoming clogged. I didn't even know that was a thing that could happen since I have a garbage disposal and am very careful what I put in there!
Anyways, I tried the Yelp app feature of asking for estimates from different plumbing places, and first Chicago was the only one that responded with an actual dollar amount estimate right away.

They fixed the problem for the amount of money they estimated. I will definitely use them for my future plumbing needs.

I will say, they changed our appt time the day of because the plumber had to bump is to see an emergency. Of course, if I have an emergency in the future I would be happy if they came to keep first so I get it. But, if you are a person that is very impatient or anal about time you have to consider that.

Sound Plumbing did a fantastic job replacing a toilet. They worked around my schedule. Mitch was fantastic and extremely professional. When I ordered the incorrect toilet he went back across town to get the correct one and didn't even charge me double for the extra delivery. Will be using Sound Plumbing for all future projects.

We had a problem with a clogged toilet, and Diego quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it (it wasn't an easy one, but with patience and hard work he was able to get it resolved).  We also asked him to check a problem with our garbage disposal unit, and he located a disconnected wire and promptly made the repair.

I highly recommend J Sewer and Drain Plumbing Plumbing Inc.  If you're like me, you worry about finding someone who truly knows what they're doing and is good to work with.  These guys are the real deal.  You won't be disappointed.

I am way past due writing this review, but came back to Yelp because these guys 100% deserve 5 stars.  Long story short, my kitchen sink clogged and started leaking on Thanksgiving.  After another plumber failed to get the sink unclogged and whose next step was intense (read: expensive), I decided to get another plumber out to see if they could resolve the clog.  Enter Midwest Hydro Jetting, who sent two wonderful guys out that not only unclogged my sink in a matter of minutes (and this was 4 months ago and we're still going strong), they also corrected the hookup to my dishwasher to make it run better, and they stuck around to make sure the everything was working properly.  Everyone was super friendly and professional, from start to finish.

We had a plumbing situation that required a plumbing staff equipped with setup and clean up materials for a messy job, especially entitled Captain Rooter. There is nothing pristine and greaseless about that job! I was very appreciative that they could come right away the same day and help clean our pipes from our hvac closet and clean up build up also in our W/D closet.

At the beginning of the job, the tech took out large grease removal equipment and needed to borrow additional bags for all of the greases removal. If this was the case, why was no tarp laid down to line the floor, on a white carpet? We had just had steam cleaning completed a few weeks prior, however there were walls with grease prints, grease splattered on equipment and back walls of the hvac and W/D closet. The floors were coated in grease. Low and behold...grease beads in chunks all over the carpet for 12 feet. No covering!

Mid-way through the job I asked the tech, You are going to clean this all up, right? He told me yes, for sure. Seeing that hardly anything was clean and grease was smeared on one door, I asked him about it, he said it was a very messy job. It was definitely time for him to go.

I called the management, but was told I should have kept him there and called. During COVID, I don't keep workers in my house longer than needed. I would hope there is protocol the company has in place and proper training and materials to show their workers how to protect the homes they are in. Also, I did not hear back from the owner yesterday, hence this review, I was told, he may call you back if he has time. Customer service leads the charge on these companies. Will NOT use them EVER again,

I hired Sims and Sons to repair electrical issues in the common area of our building. Other electricians either couldn't identify the cause of our electrical problem or wouldn't come out in-person to assess the situation. Darrell Sims visited our building and walked me through the potential causes before submitting an estimate. Darrell was also really responsive to the various demands of our condo board. The electrician, Enis, was really professional and informative before, during and after the work was completed. After going nearly a year with intermittent hallway lighting, I appreciate that Sims and Sons was able to come to our rescue.

Good experience overall. Reached out on a Saturday, connected with Dmitri and received two quotes that were dependent on the root cause of the issue (slow draining water) and set up an appointment for the following Tuesday.

Lenny showed up and provided more details on the quotes and was off to work. Within a half hour he called me from my office and walked me through what he did, and showed me the draining issue had been fixed. Quick, reasonable and solid work all around.

Great, fast service from Mike the Plumber. He came on short notice to remove then reinstall my kitchen sink plumbing after I had some new counter tops installed. He even fixed my bathroom toilet (slow to fill up) and unclogged my bathroom sink.  The price was very reasonable and he performed everything very quickly. If I ever have any plumbing issues I will be sure to call Mike.

We began calling multiple companies as we had limited time in Chicago with my 95 year old aunt before heading back to Florida. Juan was quick to respond and come to give us an estimate. We showed him 3 areas on her 90 year old pipes that had leaks and he gave us a price. During the repair he found the leak was way inside the wall. He said he'd try to reach it through an access hole already in the wall but may need to go by the actual tile/tub side. Oh no we thought. He did repair using the access side. Every step of the way he explained what he needed to do. We also threw in a possible kitchen sink and cabinet replacement which he was ready to tackle with his teenage son and my husband but we decided not to do it in the end. He had already cut a hole in the counter top which was perfect and we are holding onto it for future use. His son Eddie, was a great laborer and very polite. We will never use anyone else for our plumbing needs in Chicago. No one could beat his prices for the amount of time he spent with us. Thank you so much Juan and Eddie.

This review is a bit overdue. Our kitchen sink stopped draining the day before Thanksgiving. Noel came out the same day I called, fixed the issue quickly. It was that fast and painless. I believe I was changed a fair price. And since then have had no sink issue at all. If I run into issues, I'll use him again.
