I went downstairs to do a load of laundry and noticed water & some type of backup all over my laundry room, utility room and wet carpet inbetween.  I didn't know where to start and gave Apex a call.  Incredibly professional from the initial call through the service.  They arrived in less than 30 minutes!!  Quickly diagnosed the problem as a failed Ejector Pump.  They had the parts and equipment to service on the spot, provided me with honest options to resolve and quickly got to work.  Truly a 5-star experience all around.  Friendly service, knowledgeable work and complete transparency.  It is a family run business and it shows from the dedication to customer service, being straightforward in explanation and ability to guarantee their work.  Can't say enough positive things about Apex and will be the only company I call with any future needs.

We cannot say enough great things about Vanguard and would highly recommend their services.  Not even 3 days into our new place and we were having plumbing issues.  Within a few hours of calling around other places, Vanguard was the only service who was able to respond immediately and we're so glad that they did.  Jan and his team showed up ready to do the job.  Not only did he fix the problem, but he also alerted us of issues for the overall sewer for our entire building and we're so glad he did because sure enough he was back the next day fixing it due to some flooding.  

He and his team did such an amazing job and was extremely thorough.  He not only took the time to explain to us the situation, he also documented it which will help us provide proof to our insurance company to help pay for flood damages.  He also took the time to explain how we can prevent future issues and provided us with tips on what to do and more importantly what not to do to maintain our pipes.

Overall Jan did a fantastic job and we absolutely will call Vanguard anytime we have issues.

BEWARE - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! FIXER DESTROYD MY NEW DISHWASHER AND COMPANY REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. FORCED TO SUE THEM. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.

Last month a Fixer came to install a new kitchen faucet, he failed to turn the water flow back on TWICE. After the faucet was installed, I tested the hot water I noticed it didn't come on, so went back under the sink & he turned the flow back onto the hot water; unbeknownst to me he also failed to turn the flow back onto my dishwasher. Days later, my cleaning professional ran my dishwasher, neither of us knowing there was no water flow. I opened the dishwasher to find many melted plastic Calphalon & Tupperware items, as well as burned soap on the inside of my stainless steel door of my 12 month year old GE dishwasher. I reached out to FIXER & I followed up several times before the Fixer finally sent out Jessica, another Fixer, who confirmed my dishwasher heating and drying system had completely BLOWN due to no water flow. Jessica also tried to remove the burn with baking soda - it did not work. Jessica (who was great) said Fixer Co. would likely order a new steamer parts for my model and try to get a replacement door. My dishwasher no longer heats or dries dishes.
Over a week goes by I hear nothing, I follow up again & again, finally someone named Becky and Susanne Duwarsk (a FIxer Founder), sent me callus & insulting emails saying they will not do anything to fix my dishwasher. Susanne sent me the phone numbers outside contractors that I (ME) would have to pay for - without being reimbursed by Fixer.  FIxer only offered me $94 Fixer CREDIT. Susanne even tried to blame General Electric, alleging GE they built a faulty machine. Susanne said, the machine should have shut off once it realized no water was there.
GE came to my home ($99 diagnostic fee). BTW: GE only services on weekdays and only offers 4 hour time-blocks with no ETA, so I had to miss a day of work to wait on them.
GE confirmed that the machine's relay mechanism worked exactly as it should have by basically blowing-out once the machine got too hot due to no water flow. GE said, if the relay mechanism had NOT had blown (due to no water flow), the dishwasher could have easily caught fire and burned my home down.
I am beyond hurt by this and never expected this company to be so cruel to its customers. This has been extremely stressful. This company brags about how the Fixer Co is owned by the creator of GrubHub Michael Evans - someone who can clearly afford to make this right.
Fixer refuses to return my calls (I have never spoken to anyone on the phone but I have left messages). They also refuse to respond to my emails. After they offered the $94 Fixer credit, they completely disappeared; washed their hands of me and the entire situation.

The bottom line is this: If the Fixer turned my water back on as he should have (since he turned to off), NONE of this would have ever happened. Unfortunately they sent someone incompetent. This falls on the Fixer Co - no one else. My beautiful dishwasher was $500+ and  it cost $99 for GE to come diagnose the issue and will cost even more parts and repair. GE said the cannot do anything about my burned door - it will just be something I have to live with.
I do not understand why I, the customer, am being treated this way this company. I even told them I understand humans make mistakes, just make it right.
I am thoroughly disgusted by your company's treatment of its (loyal)customers. I cannot believe that I now have to take them to court to get this resolved.  
BE CAREFUL with the Careless company. They can fix almost anything except their own mistakes!

Drain works was great and responsive. They got back to me quickly and had the work completed within the week. Eric was very helpful

Bert came out the same day I called to give me an estimate. He was right on schedule and was a true professional.  Finished clearing the clogged bathtub very quickly. He asked me if I had any questions and even cleaned up a bit before leaving. Would recommend!

When you need help in a hurry they are the one to call you don't get an answering machine! I'm still waiting for that call back from the 1st company! Gary answered the phone and had me text him the info & forwarded to his assistant Abel who called me within minutes. He was out within a few hours and gave me a reasonable quote to rod out the plumbing 45 feet worth backup yuk!

We have a 1930s house with 1930s plumbing and our bathtub wasn't draining properly. The problem was that the previous owners of the house hadn't bothered to maintain the pipes in so long, the trap had rusted itself shut. Jose did a fantastic job in fixing the issue. He was also great about answering any question I had. Their prices are fair and I greatly appreciate that they list out everything that comes with that pricing. I will definitely be using them again for anything that comes up.

Scheduled appointment for 10am on Monday.  No show and no one called. I don't know what else Yelp wants me to write, as this is my complaint.

I wanted to replace my bathroom faucets and Arco definitely had the best price,1/2 of what a few others quoted me. Jason was super nice and did a fabulous job! I will certainly use them again in the future.

I got tired of trying to have my contractors finish all the little details that are left after a remodel, so I looked for 'a handyman' to just be able to tie up all those details* I picked Tim because his location was close to me..Boy did I get lucky!!! Tim is on time, professional and very experienced, he thinks on his feet,comes up with creative solutions to details left by 'the other guy:(  Did wonderful work in a timely manner,Basically I gave him a punch list from leveling a floor to rehanging stainless shelves, that were not level..I have started my next punch list for him to take care of, I am thrilled to have found him and will be using his services for all my future handyman projects*

I had a clogged underground downspout drain in La Grange area.  Just noticed it during installation of new gutters, replacing probably 40 year old gutters.  Rooter showed up within an hour for a free estimate.  He got hands on and showed me how extremely jam packed it was with dirt and roots.  It had probably been that way for years and years.

He offered a few solutions and was honest about the probability of it being a total loss anyway after trying those solutions, needing to dig up and replace the pipe.  In the end, I think I'm going to avoid it altogether and go with a normal above ground downspout solution.  

Rooter has fast, reliable, honest service.  I'm going to call them again the next time I need a plumber.

I had two loose toilets and thought I needed new wax rings for both. Brian and his partner arrived on time, assessed the repairs, and told me that both needed a simple tightening. I was so impressed with their honesty and professionalism. In light of how quick the repair was, Brian even asked if there were any other issues I wanted them to look at so that I would get more value for the money. However, their honesty and professionalism is worth every penny! They will be my go-to plumber.

Absolutely not! We called them about the toilets being backed up. Ladies room and men's room. So 4 toilets and a urinal. Told them how many toilets and urinals we had and how it had to be rodded out 200ft.
 We were quoted over the phone $1745. After not having luck with another vendor, I went ahead and got these guys out.
 Dominic was the one that came out with two other people. Very friendly and approachable. No problems. Well I see the paper. There is an additional fee of $625 if it has to be hydro blasted. Ok I thought well hey if it has to be done so be it. So didn't question that. I was not happy that I was not told this over the phone as I'm using a company card and I needed approval.
 So I call right away to get the approval. Done. Final bill I see him add $325. I ask what is this for? He said because he had to service each toilet and urinal. Wtf! So I'm I like ok are you going to clean up the mess?? He says yes. So I. Have no problem with that either. However they mopped the dirty disgusting floors with MY mops and leave water all over our back room. Puddles. Also the toilets and walls covered in sewage. What happened to the cleaning ?? Wtf was the extra $325 for??
So, long story short, I feel as if I got taken by a local plumber. I should have just went with rotor rooter. I will NEVER recommend these guys. I was so impressed with the fast response and promises. But the promises were empty and the rodding of $1745 turned into $2695. If you want to get taken I guess choose these people. I will never use them. Yes I have had this problem in the past but the plumber I originally used wasn't available. I was actually going to use Good Guys in the future and recommend them but I can't. Not after what happened today.

This is about a loan they pushed on me two years ago, GreenSky. This is my fault: I should have paid it off while it was interest-free. However, the terms of that loan are so bad that minimum payments have increased my debt instead of decreasing it. They should never work with this service; it's predatory. What if I had no money and could not repay this loan in time, but the company pressured me to do this? This is how you trick people into massive debt.

I screwed up...

I put some stuff down the garbage disposal that I shouldn't have. Clogged it up. Needed help.

Here comes Jim from Zuniga. Jim was super professional, informative, and went the extra mile to fix the problem. I live in an old building and he had to basically rework the entire system to get me working again. I'm eternally grateful.

I really didn't want to have a conversation with the landlord. Jim hooked me up today and I will never call anyone else for my plumbing needs as long as I'm within range of Zuniga's.

If you can't tell, I'm a happy customer.
