I've needed a plumber a couple times this year... once for a garbage disposal replacement and then to unclog a common line in our condo building.  Apex came through both times with quick service and friendly, knowledgeable technicians.  It's nice to know we have a local company to rely upon!

I can't say enough great things about Jan and his company, Vanguard Plumbing. I have used him for several projects in my condo in the past, including replacing faucets, replacing toilets, putting in shower heads, and fixing leaky faucets. The work he has done for me on several visits has uniformly been of the high quality, and I have never had a problem with the work or company. In simple terms, he is not only the best plumber that I have ever worked with, but I would go further and say that he is the best tradesperson with whom I have dealt.

This time, I had an emergency problem - my toilet would not flush and was leaking from the bottom. The timing could not have been worse - my wife had just had a bad accident and we needed access to the bathroom that had the problem.

Jan came through for me. As in the past, he provided great service. He was easily accessible and responded to calls very promptly by phone or e-mail. He provided clear and comprehensive quotes listing the prices he would charge for the project. The quote was backed up by a written confirmation. Most important to me, he thoughtfully listened to my personal situation and then quickly changed his scheduled to make his team available to me the next day as I had requested.

He sent George, one of his experienced plumbers, to do my job. George was great from beginning to end. The job turned out to be challenging because of the corroded pipes in my older condo building. He was very helpful in explaining the job, the problems, and my options. He never tried to upsell me -- to the contrary, he advised against doing certain work because of the risks to the pipes that would be involved.

While he was here, I asked George if he could check a couple of bathroom faucets which had poor water pressure and some bathroom sinks which were draining slowly because I wanted to avoid another service call. George quickly diagnosed both problems and fixed them within minutes. And then, I asked him to check a kitchen sink with garbage disposal that was backing up as long as he was there. George dove right into the project and again immediately diagnosed the problems. Rather than trying to charge me to do a job that was unlikely to be successful because of the plumbing design in my building, he suggested deferring the work until he could work with my building engineer on a better repair alternative. He was great in every way.

Every time that Vanguard has come here, they have done great work. They clean up everywhere, and check and double-checks the work before they to make sure that everything is working properly. The scheduling, payment process and follow-up are all first rate, and Jan is a really great guy.. While I am sure that there are plumbers out there who are less expensive, I cannot imagine anyone more skilled, more honest, or more responsible. In short, I couldn't be more pleased with Jan and Vanguard. I highly recommend the company.

Victor came over last minute to fix an outdoor leak we had during the bitter cold. He clearly and honestly explained the problem to us, then, he went to two different stores to get the correct part so he could get it fixed that night. We never felt like we were being overcharged and he was professional, courteous and very responsive. We will certainly call him again with any other plumbing issues!

Let's just be clear, You receive one star not because of how expensive you are it's because you team did not install the sink properly and it causes water damage in my apartment. I had to hire a different company to fix your mistake! Please take close look at the picture I attached for what your team installed. It's worth thousands words.

I had an emergency plumbing issue. Our main line was clogged. All 3 toilets in our home were backed up and sewer water backed up into our laundry room!
The guys at Drain Works responded first and was available within 2 hours.
They came prepared; masked up and even has booties so they don't  stain our floors.
They took a camera down the main line and showed us exactly what the issue was.
After quoting us a very reasonable price, they were available immediately the next day on the big job.
They dug up 3 containers of tree roots and dirt in our main line!
The job took 3 days to complete. Each day they meticulously laid out plastic coverings everywhere and thoroughly cleaned up at the end of each day.
They really saved the day for us especially during these times.
Would definitely recommend them to anyone and will use them again for future plumbing services.

Bert and his assistant came to our apartment building and was able to remove a clogged kitchen drain. Bert was diligent, professional and great to work with. A previous company came out to our building with 5 different techs and was still unable to clear out the clogged drain.

I could not recommend Bert enough, and wish we had called him initially.

Can't say enough good things regarding this company! Very knowledgeable, professional, reliable. Would not quit until the job was working perfectly! Also checked a few other concerns and cleaned up any mess that might have been made! Shocked how very reasonable their fee was especially how difficult the job ended up being. We will be calling them in the future!!!

I contacted Plumbing Pros to replace my whole house water filtration system with a new one - that I already purchased.  Gary asked me to e-mail him a few pictures so he knew what needed to be done, and contacted me back quickly with a proposal.  He arrived on time and treated my home with respect.  He answered all of my questions before starting and told me what his plan was and confirmed the cost - which seemed fair and honest.  The job turned out perfectly and I will definitely use Plumbing Pros again.

Had a really great experience with 24/7. We had a (non emergency) shower cartridge change. They were super responsive to my quote request, gave us a very competitive rate, and came promptly on times they offered to come that same day.

After having other several bad plumbing experiences, we've felt taken advantage of by other plumbers.  We're very happy with our experience with 24/7 and will gladly give them our business again.

Scheduled appointment for 10am on Monday.  No show and no one called. I don't know what else Yelp wants me to write, as this is my complaint.

Our old water softener failed after so many years. We called different contractors and Arco was able to come out soon and at a reasonable price. They replaced the water softener and left our home clean too. Thank you. If we have other issues with our plumbing, we will be back for sure.

Charges a rate higher than that of a licensed plumber.    i didn't want to take the chance

I had a clogged underground downspout drain in La Grange area.  Just noticed it during installation of new gutters, replacing probably 40 year old gutters.  Rooter showed up within an hour for a free estimate.  He got hands on and showed me how extremely jam packed it was with dirt and roots.  It had probably been that way for years and years.

He offered a few solutions and was honest about the probability of it being a total loss anyway after trying those solutions, needing to dig up and replace the pipe.  In the end, I think I'm going to avoid it altogether and go with a normal above ground downspout solution.  

Rooter has fast, reliable, honest service.  I'm going to call them again the next time I need a plumber.

As you can see from this business' reply, they admit that they stole my money for 'knowledge' and not actual services!! I did not pay for your knowledge, I paid for repairs that YOU DID NOT DO and you know it!

Take your business elsewhere, y'all! This is a trash way to steal people's money and a waste of time. This is dishonest and unprofessional. After several phone calls over the past month to get a response, this was the only reply I've gotten.

Started out rocky but Dominic knew what he was doing! Very proficient and recognized the problem right away. He even was able to identify problems no one else recognized. He did an excellent job in no time.

Unfortunately, we needed to replace our water heater AND repair our furnace in the span of 10 days! However, Goode made the process as painless as possible. My favorite thing about Goode so far is the consistency of the technicians - everyone is polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. Across the board! They answered our questions thoroughly, leaving us feeling confident that we're getting great service and our money is well spent. For plumbing and HVAC issues in the future, our first call will definitely be Goode.

Walter described what his team would do in a careful clear way and gave me an informative and very reasonable estimate.  Sal, Jamie and Juan did a terrific job repairing three broken pipes and installing a new toilet.  
The cost was a very reasonable $2300, much lower than my other estimate.  The were able to do the work very quickly (and on a Saturday).  I am very pleased with their work and have already booked Zuniga's plumbing for sewer rodding.
