We had a reoccurring issue with sewage leaking from our drain stack onto the sidewalk near our house. Previously, two different plumbers worked on the problem--the first at a very hefty sum. Jeff of Apex, came out to give us estimate. After thoroughly inspecting the problem, answering my numerous questions and giving me a logical explanation of the problem--I decided Jeff was the guy for the job! He located the root of the problem to a drain pipe in the basement. He rodded it and replaced its outdated seal. I really must highlight my appreciation for Jeff's patience in answering my questions, and educating me about the problem while maintaining his professionalism. If necessary, I'll definitely use Apex again!

We have used Vanguard multiple times. Once for sewer rodding and catch basin pumping and the other for a stubborn leaky shower.

Jan is very professional to work with and his crew is great and always looking to do the job the best way possible.

Victor is super friendly, responsive, and prompt. He's helped us a few times, first by advising on other vendors we can contact to help with basement storm leakage (no charge for this consultation), and then by helping us to fix a leaking bathtub and toilet very quickly. Becky arrived right on time and replaced my faucet in a snap. The service is so easy to arrange online from start to finish. I put in the order after hours and the job was done by 10 am the next morning. Fantastic!

Eric at Drain Works was at my location in 3 hours same day to take a look at a sub pump issue that turned out to be a back flow problem.  He diagnosed, explained my options, got the new part and fixed it.  Extremely personable and they know what they are doing.  Very happy with Eric and Drain Works and will be on my speed dial as its hard to find good honest plumbers....especially in the city!

Bert is honest and spends the time explaining the issue and did not rush me through my questions. I especially liked how he kept me in the know by sending me pictures of my sewage drain as he was snaking his camera around.

Our bathtub handles and shower couplet were leaking and the pipes were very old.  Joe saved the day by replacing the pipes to the bathtub and shower and put a round dish with the on and off for the water and new shower couplet!  He also replaced the on and off valves in the laundry room.  Joe was quick and very knowledgable!  Joe and Lucas make a great team.  I would definitely use their service again!

I would highly, highly recommend Gary and Plumbing Pros to all who need any sort of pluming work done. I needed to get a new water heater, two toilets, and a garbage disposal, and Gary and his co-worker came out and gave me a quote unlike another plumbing company who quoted me substantially more, minus the garbage disposal.
  Gary and his co-worker came out this past Friday (I was at work) and finished everything in under three hours!! Everything was perfect, and disposed of. When I walked into my townhome, it looked as if no work was even done that day due to how clean it was!! Gary walked with me, and explained everything he did in detail, along with letting me know he put an aerator on my sink that unbeknownst to me, I needed!! (He did so free of charge)!!
  To summarize, I will be using Gary for all of my plumbing needs/work, and am going to pass on to others how great this company is!!! Gary and his co-worker are very honest, and are great plumbers indeed!!

Two problem with my past experience with the company
1. The estimates they quoted are so much higher than others.
2. The business owner is not open for price negotiation and seems very inpatient.

The good part is the technician Jose explains things in great details and is very patient when answering questions.

Before I called Adam I first called rooter router and the guy came and said he cannot open the dum trap because something might get in his eye- and left- please do not use rooter Router - complete garbage!!

I called Adam and he immediately can out and cleaned out my drain in 15 minutes- did an remarkably job!!!!

I wanted to replace my bathroom faucets and Arco definitely had the best price,1/2 of what a few others quoted me. Jason was super nice and did a fabulous job! I will certainly use them again in the future.

Ally Handyman came to install an attic door. He did not install in the place I asked. Unfortunately I paid before the work was performed. The door opened directly into piping and could not be used. When I called back to have the issue of a nonfunctional door addressed my calls and voicemails were entirely ignored. I would hate for anyone else to experience the same problem of wasted money.

I had a clogged underground downspout drain in La Grange area.  Just noticed it during installation of new gutters, replacing probably 40 year old gutters.  Rooter showed up within an hour for a free estimate.  He got hands on and showed me how extremely jam packed it was with dirt and roots.  It had probably been that way for years and years.

He offered a few solutions and was honest about the probability of it being a total loss anyway after trying those solutions, needing to dig up and replace the pipe.  In the end, I think I'm going to avoid it altogether and go with a normal above ground downspout solution.  

Rooter has fast, reliable, honest service.  I'm going to call them again the next time I need a plumber.

As you can see from this business' reply, they admit that they stole my money for 'knowledge' and not actual services!! I did not pay for your knowledge, I paid for repairs that YOU DID NOT DO and you know it!

Take your business elsewhere, y'all! This is a trash way to steal people's money and a waste of time. This is dishonest and unprofessional. After several phone calls over the past month to get a response, this was the only reply I've gotten.

Early Sunday morning my only toilet would not flush.  It's almost impossible to find a plumber on Sunday.  If you do, they charge outrageous fees.  Luckily
I came across the Good Guys.  Dominick came right out & quickly found out it was not an easy fix since it is an old house with very old pipes. The next day a he came out  & started the project.  Later the rest of the crew came out to help.  They worked all day & night finishing the major job.  They did a great clean up & was very fair & reasonable.  They worked very hard on an extremely tough job in a limited space.  If you want a job well done at a fair price, I extremely recommend the Good Guys.

I had service on 11/29 . Antonio was the worker who contacted me. I was quoted $700.00 to replace a shower cartridge which I thought was too much but I was away from home and wanted my shower working. I agreed because I was 43 miles away working. I was then told the entire shower valve would have to be replaced and the risers would be replaced also. I requested ball valves to be install for shutoffs. I was quoted $2699 which I thought was way too much but the risers would be replaced and I was away from home. I agreed to the price. I was told later that the risers couldn't be replaced because went too far down the wall. A new shower valve and trim kit were installed. I was told the job was done and provided payment over the phone job unseen because I was still working. When I got home and inspected the job, I saw a huge hole in the closet where the access to the pipes was visible. There was minimal cooper replacement of the plumbing. Approximately 2-3 feet of work leaving most of the existing galvanized pipe untouched. No shut off ball valves were install as discussed, which was possible. Other galvanized sections that could have been replaced were not. With the Moen shower valve and trim kit and fittings, I couldn't see more than $500 in parts and that is being generous. I was never given a downgraded price for the downgraded work preformed. I feel I was taken very much advantaged of with the price charged for the work performed. A few days latter I received a text message from Lexus requesting a review of Martin D. who I didn't know. I called to discuss the matter and talked with Jake the manager. He said usually a job of replacing a shower valve was only $1350.00 and he would have to look into the work. I told Jake that I'm planning to leave my experience on Yelp but I thought I would contact him first for some sort of resolution to the experience. Jake or Goode plumbing never responded

I would 100% recommend Walter and Zuniga Plumbing. Our 100+ year old cast iron stack pipe broke and split in multiple places. He and his crew diagnosed the problem behind my walls quickly, directed me to water restoration emergency services, and then removed and replaced the pipe that ran from attic to basement in 2 days. He did this on the weekend even though he said they typically do not work Sundays. This included removing walls and ceilings. He was always responsive by phone or text. He showed up when he said he would show up. He and his team were professional. They covered areas with tarps and swept up afterwards. He stayed in contact with the water restoration project manager so that we can get as much covered by insurance as possible. We paid half the project cost when work started and the 2nd half after work was finished. He even reduced the initial project amount because he didn't have to do something he initially thought needed being done. It was in the ceiling and I'm not a plumber so he easily could have still charged us that and we wouldn't have known. But he was honest about what he did and didn't do. Just the peace of mind that came from having a responsive plumber who came when he said he would come was worth having him do the project.

I only looked at his reviews on here after the project was finished today. I don't understand the bad reviews from years ago or people who warn his good reviews are from friends. I had not in heard of him until he was referred to me last week. Our experience with him was great and satisfying. I definitely recommend him and his work!
