Plumber was very condescending over the phone and clearly did not want to take on the work. I was told that free estimates don't apply to condominium buildings. Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism and transparency with Apex.

Vanguard answered our phone call on the first attempt and was able to get someone out the same day (actually within a few hours)! We had a much bigger problem than anticipated and they were honest about the problem and how to fix it. We were able to watch the fix step-by-step and understand exactly what caused the problem (and how to prevent it). The invoice we received matched the expected work and parts. They are now are definite go to guys when it comes to plumbing! I wouldn't hesitate to call them!

I just found my go-to plumber! Victor was very responsive and fixed my drain clog immediately. I can recommend him and his company to do any plumbing work. Reasonable price too! Will call him again!

Katie and Ben are both great. They all came on the time and did the job within an hour. They also gave good tips.

If you have a serious plumbing issue go directly to a professional and skip Drain Works. Erik is a nice enough guy but his niceness could not overcome his lack of knowledge. Diagnosing my issue took him all day and he mentioned several times he'd rather be with his family instead out in the cold and I was out almost $1000 in the end (for his time!!!)with NO FIX!!. When I got a second opinion that company diagnosed and came up with a plan within 45 minutes without me telling them what the first opinion was. If you have a simple issue you might be fine as long as the older gentleman is with him. Otherwise BEWARE.
EDIT 3/10/22: Hi Karla thanks for your reply. You were not there so let me offer some clarification to what you're putting out to the public. The offer to put half my bill ($500) was toward a whopping $5000 of additional work. I did not trust Erik to do ANY more work on my house because each step that he took came with more and more costs. He started at $350 and we ended at $1000. He was too nervous about putting his very expensive camera down my basement toilet so he put it in my second floor toilet which of course came with an additional charge. Why more money to do the same thing? Then, when that did not work even though he told my boyfriend that he was certain it would work he decided to put it down my catch basin for another charge. Again, why more money on top of money to do the same thing? In the end when he was about to leave with no fix and my boyfriend and I were very upset he offered to put the $500 toward the $5000 estimated charges for pursing additional work. No way, no thank you. The professional plumber that came after Erik put the camera in the right place the first time without additional charges and it was fixed with no issues or comments that if his camera broke in my basement toilet I would be on the hook for it. I feel as though Erik should be contacting me with a $500 refund. Just want the public to be aware that serious plumbing issues should be looked at by someone with more experience. Bert is just AWESOME! I had a busted sewer drain and it was backing up into my garden unit. He came out assessed the  problem, explained to me exactly what the problem was as well as showed me the problem visually with the drain camera. The quote for the work that I needed done was the most reasonable one that I had received out of 4. Bert and his team worked around my goofy work schedule and even when I missed the appointment for the inspection he was very understanding and rescheduled it for me. This is GREAT company that's gets the job done right the first time and in a timely manner. Bert and his team cleaned up after themselves and left my unit very clean . I believe I just found my new plumber! Thanks Bert and your team for a job will done!

I had a small plumbing job, to fix a leaking sink drain in my kitchen.  I called Kevin Szabo, jr plumbing and they had a guy come out in 2 days. Joe was great, explaining exactly what was needed.  He fixed the drain in under an hour!  Joe was friendly and knowledgeable. And the price was reasonable.  I highly recommend Kevin Szabo Jr Plumbing.

Found Plumbing Pros through the stellar reviews here on Yelp and all the 5-star reviews on here are pretty much spot on!  Gary & his team were very responsive and quick to return my call after I initially called him to fix a leaky faucet.  We communicated back and forth via phone and texts and Gary was able to give me a price quote (very reasonable price) and on their schedule as soon as I got him the necessary information.  When the appointment time came, Gary was on time, extremely professional and friendly, and just as important, he was able to fix our faucet.  I would definitely recommend Gary to anyone and won't hesitate to contact Plumbing Pros in the future!

Have used this company before once for non emergent maintenance after a recommendation from a relative. They came today to replace my dying sump pump after my emergency call...looking to avoid a flood!!! Very helpful and informative.......really appreciated their working me in today as I know they are very busy. Would highly recommend...very competitive pricing, knowledgeable and very responsive!

My project, which was to replace the rotted trim around the entry doors of a rental property proved more challenging than was initially anticipated. Tim came up with a solution, and executed the work to my complete satisfaction.
He arrived on time, and somehow survived a trip to Home Depot to pick up supplies, when half of Chicago had decided to spend their Memorial Day there!

Called Alex Sunday night after fighting with a clogged kitchen sink all day.  He returned my call promply and scheduled service first thing Monday morning.  Alex arrived promptly at 8am and got to work quickly.  He resolved our clogging problem before 9am and provided helpful tips about my home's plumbing.  Overall great experience...don't hesitate to call!

After a minor overflow caused by torrential rains we had some water seep in through our drains leaving minimal, but standing water. I was away on business and found this team through YELP. They responded instantly, despite the majority of the city having flooded.

Robert arrived, explained honestly that outside of a flood prevention system, this was likely to be an issue. But in his inspection noticed that our pumps were clogged as well as our catch basin, which was severely backed up. We were informed that, clearing these may have helped prevent the water seepage but wouldn't guarantee it. However I knew these systems needed to be cleaned and maintained and he offered to help us on the spot. I appreciate honestly. They're also very confident and knowledgeable about what to do and expect.

This is a team I will call for any plumbing needs in the future. Knowing I can ask a question, get an honest answer, and the work done is peace of mind not always available.

Early Sunday morning my only toilet would not flush.  It's almost impossible to find a plumber on Sunday.  If you do, they charge outrageous fees.  Luckily
I came across the Good Guys.  Dominick came right out & quickly found out it was not an easy fix since it is an old house with very old pipes. The next day a he came out  & started the project.  Later the rest of the crew came out to help.  They worked all day & night finishing the major job.  They did a great clean up & was very fair & reasonable.  They worked very hard on an extremely tough job in a limited space.  If you want a job well done at a fair price, I extremely recommend the Good Guys.

Hands down THE worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. Had an issue with the work that was done, called 3 times to speak with someone and kept getting pushed off. Our business used to refer them tons of clients but I will be sure to deter clients from using them at all costs.

I created this account to review Walter and his plumbing business. I am saying from the bottom of my heart thank you to him and his assistant. I had a major plumbing issue at a new building I recently purchased, I call him to have the water turned on, and BOOM burst pipes everywhere. These guys stayed until nearly midnight after and already long day of work for them, to fix every single pipe in the building. On top of that he charged me an EXTREMELY reasonable rate. I recommend him whole heartedly for any project you have on mind, hes honest, hard working, very very reasonably priced, and gets the job done.
