Joe is truly an expert. When our shower valve was leaking we had to turn the water off to our entire home. Joe came quickly, diagnosed how to best repair, and finished just a couple hours later. We had to open the wall and he still left the area well cleaned. Even the home's 50+ year old pipes were no match for Boss Plumbing.

The day after Thanksgiving I discovered water dripping through my kitchen ceiling. I called Boss Plumbing and even though I was not a regular customer and despite it being a holiday Joe Cohn responded within a very few hours. He looked it over and said he'd come back the following Monday. There was no service charge. He texted me on Monday around 8:00 AM and said he'd be there around 9:00 AM.
He arrived when he said he would, tore out a small section of the bathroom wall and fixed the leak for a fair price. I would not hesitate to call him again if I had another plumbing issue and I highly recommend him.

We have worked with Joe at Boss Plumbing for years .  He is incredibly responsive - almost always makes his way to our house within a few hours, even when our garbage disposal broke on Christmas Eve.  Today was another example - we had an ejector pump issue and Joe was at our house within hours and once here he had everything assessed within minutes.  He really is the best!

One of our pipes was leaking and realized it was happening after flushing the toilet. Not fun. We were able to find this company and got in contact with Joe. He has amazing customer service and was able to come to us the very next day. A couple weeks ago we had a new toilet installed and it was done incorrectly which was the root of this problem. Replaced a spigot that had gone bad, he did a great job. Was very clean with cutting drywall so it wouldn't be more work later.

Joe has helped us numerous times throughout the years.  The most recent was converting our two handled bathtub faucets to one.  This greatly increased our water pressure!  In addition, he directed us as to how to select the fixtures we liked which he then picked up for us.  He switched out the fixtures and replaced the pipes in one day and cleaned up after himself.   As usual, his prices and service are the best around.

We had a pipe freeze and I gave Boss Plumbing a call in a panic. He had me explain the situation and then laid out my options. Finally, he provided a recommendation and I took it. He was logical, courteous, and a real stand up guy.

Thankfully I didn't need his services this time around (he assured me that everything I was already doing should be enough to solve the problem, and it was!) but I know who I'm calling the next time I need any kind of plumbing work done.

Soon after moving into a new townhouse I needed a new hot water heater. My realtor recommended Boss Plumbing Corp. I contacted the owner Joe Cohen for an estimate. He responded promptly and installed a new water heater. I was so impressed with the quality of his work, his great attitude, and reasonable pricing, that I had him do some additional work replacing outdoor waters pickets and some water lines. A few years later I developed a leak in the master bedroom shower. The water was pouring into the unfinished basement. I called Joe and he came out the same day to take a look. He fixed the leak in minutes. When I asked him what I owe him he said nothing. What plumber does that? I would enthusiastically recommend Boss Plumbing Corp to everyone interested in quality work from a quality man.

We have used Joe numerous times now (pipe burst, toilet issue, clogged basement drain) and the service has always been terrific. He follows up quickly, gives straight advice, and is frankly just a great pleasure to work with.

We had a water issue with our upstairs bath tub that was leaking into our ceiling, and Boss Plumbing arrived a few hours after I called. They were able to fix the problem quickly and were very friendly. I would definitely recommend!

Joe is the ultimate professional. Diagnosed the problem right away and was able to fix it quickly. I've had him over multiple times and he's always delivered. There are no hidden costs or up charges or I'd recommend you have this done too.  It's rare that you find this kind of honesty.

No one loves when they have to contact a plumber. However, Boss Plumbing and Joe made the experience as good as it could be in light of the situation. He was first to call back and got out to our house the same day. I appreciated being upfront on what they could fix and what they could not fix. He improved my knowledge of my home's plumbing as a first-time homeowner and earned a repeat customer going forward.

I simply don't understand how this company has five stars on Yelp.

My landlord initially contacted them to get an estimate, and I followed up to schedule the appointment. We agreed on a day, but Joe couldn't agree to a particular time. He was direct at least, saying that because it wasn't an emergency, and given the holiday weekend, I would get pushed around.

As requested, I text him details like the agreed upon Monday and address. It said it was delivered as an iMessage, so I assumed he received it. I should have called to confirm. Monday passes, and I never heard from Joe. I called, and Joe said he never received a text from me. He was rude about it until he discovered my original text and called back to explain that it was his bad, he forgot, and he would be willing to come after hours on a weekday to avoid inconveniencing me (I work 9-5). I thought that was nice. This was on a Tuesday; he said he would try to make it by Friday. He requested if I hadn't heard from him by Friday to send a reminder text.

I didn't hear from him all week. Friday passed. I text him that weekend. He calls and says he will attempt to stop by on Monday. Again, he can't provide an ETA but will try to give me a call 30 minutes or so in advance to let me know he's on his way. Surprise, surprise - Monday passes without a word from Joe.

I gave up. My landlord called another plumbing company. They scheduled an appointment, provided an ETA window, SHOWED UP, and fixed my problem. Quick and painless. I'm sorry we wasted so much time trying to work with Joe.

1. Your customers don't care to hear that you're overworked and understaffed, about to go to dinner, or don't know how you'll get to it all. Just let me know what's a realistic time and date I can expect you to show up and do the job I'm trying to pay you for. If you're unavailable, just tell me. Don't lead me on.
2. GET AN APPOINTMENT BOOK. YOU'RE RUNNING A BUSINESS.

I have nothing but good things to say about Joe.  There is a reason he is so highly rated.  He is extremely professional and honest.  He has worked on our home on three separate occasions; a sump pump install, a kitchen sink hookup (we originally had a different plumber come to hook up the sink, he told us we needed way more work than what was needed, called Joe because things didn't sound right, and he came and did the install for half the cost on the same day), and to check on some frozen pipes.  He is honest explains what he is doing every step of the way and when it is and isn't necessary to have repairs done.  

Would definitely recommend Joe for any plumbing needs!

Turns out the larger issue with our plumbing needed a faster resolution, and we contracted Joe to do the job. The house we bought turned out to have a faulty setup between the sink and the washer, but the major problem was roots completely clogging sections of our sewer pipe in our backyard. It felt like a nightmare... we just got this brand new house and now they had to jackhammer the concrete porch, tear up the yard plus pull out a nasty pipe full of... well you know.

Joe and his team did a fantastic job. Our plumbing works like a charm now. It's a huge relief.

What really surprised me was the empathy that Joe showed me during this tough situation and how he did the very best he could to get the yard back in order after the work was done. It means a lot when someone takes the time to explain everything they are doing while putting themselves in your shoes.

As an aside whenever I wind up spending a lot of money on any service/product I do some research. I called another plumber the day before Joe did the major work and decided to see what another plumber would quote. The other plumber quoted the same amount of money that Joe was going to charge me. What reassured me even more was that this other plumber was saying I should get certain things installed/done that Joe was already planning on doing.

Joe and his guys are who you want to do your plumbing. I can't recommend them enough.

We engaged BOSS Plumbing to do some work on adding a toilet in our basement bathroom. I can't say enough positive things about our experience. They were extremely responsive, prompt, courteous, personable, efficient, and careful about maintaining the condition of the bathroom. They were willing to sign a liability waiver. They thoroughly cleaned up following their work. And they even went above-and-beyond by coming back later, at no additional charge, to ensure that everything was working perfectly. It's a father and son team who are absolutely stellar in their work and reliability. We would use them again in a heartbeat.

These guys are the best!  I live in an old cabin and Joe first came out to see what the problem was when I had water seeping around my softener system.  He recommended a couple companies that could help me with my filtration system and my septic system.  Both companies he recommended were fast responding and fixed the problem.

When I was advised to fix a dripping faucet in my shower I immediately texted Joe.  His guys came out and explained to me what my options were and what needed to be done.  They were  straight forward so I knew what to expect, including time it would take and price.  Like I said the cabin I live in is old, and the plumbing has been completely pieced together over the years by different handy men.  The leaky faucet ended up being quite involved, but I couldn't be more pleased with the end result.  It looks great, the technicians were professional, polite, cleaned up after themselves and took me through everything so I understand what was done and why.

We called Boss Plumbing at 10 a.m. on a Sunday morning after discovering the floor drain in our basement was backing up sewage. We had previously had this problem looked at and we thought resolved two months prior by a plumbing company recommended by our home warranty company. Turns out the problem was not fixed at all and we had been scammed by the company.

Joe from Boss Plumbing was at our house within the hour on Sunday morning, and immediately got to work on the main drain of the house. He spent roughly two hours rodding out the pipe we thought had been rodded just two months prior. He eventually pulled out an entire garbage bag full of roots that had been blocking the pipe. He was so helpful and explained the process the entire time. As new homeowners we truly appreciated the time he took to teach us. He gave us some recommendations on preventative maintenance and we were very impressed and shocked at his reasonable prices for an emergency Sunday service.

He has become our trusted go-to plumber for any future needs we have. In fact, he will be the first person we call when we tackle our master bathroom remodel.

We needed a new water heater and contacted Boss Plumbing via the Yelp app. Joe got back to me within an hour and quoted me over the phone. He had a new unit in by 9a the next day! Very professional and I would recommend him to family/friends.

Best service I've ever experienced! Joe and his son Josh were prompt, friendly, and extremely skilled in their trade. I had two projects in my house I was putting off fixing week after week. I gave Boss Plumbing a call, they showed up within a few hours and took care of both projects within the hour. It's been two weeks since they came, and everything is still working great. Called Joe at Boss plumbing to fix a broken pipe in my 2nd floor bathroom. Joe came out the very next day and sent Carlos the following morning to do the work.

Unfortunately, the damage was underneath the tub and they had to cut through the ceiling to reach it. Rough situation, but Carlos did a great job replacing the pipes where needed. Just as importantly, he walked me through some ways to prevent problems in the future with my very old plumbing system.

Everything was great, except both Joe and Carlos showed up early for both appointments. I work from a home office on time-sensitive contract projects, so it's not so easy for me to step away without notice. Wish I could give 4 1/2 stars.

Will definitely use them again!

It was New Year's Eve and our sump pump went out!  And it was raining!  My husband and I were in a panic given that it was a holiday and it would be hard to find a good plumber.  Joe returned my call promptly and showed up within a couple of hours.  We needed a new sump pump and battery backup which he thankfully had on his truck.  Completed the job in a very reasonable amount of time and for a reasonable price.  Definitely call Joe at Boss Plumbing... highly recommend!

Amazing service! I called on a Sunday and Joe called me right back had me scheduled for first thing Monday morning. Showed up on time and was able to identify the leak instantly.  Fixed the problem and was such a genuine honest guy, didn't even charge me. Told me I need a new faucet which I will be definitely having him come out to replace.  Great service with a smile:) I won't need to look for a plumber ever again:)

We have worked with Boss for several years now after our usual local plumber failed to respond. They were at our home in less than an hour. Since then we have used them for multiple issues and they continue to demonstrate the same speed and professionalism on every call. Would not use anyone else!

We had a garbage disposal problem last Friday night and Joe and his son Josh came out Saturday around noon. So quick! We called that morning and I was pleasantly surprised he could get there so quickly. Him and his son were super friendly, good people. My husband was not at home during the time they were there and I felt completely comfortable. They fixed the problem pretty quickly and charged the weekday rate instead of the weekend rate bc they were out and about anyways. Joe gave us helpful tips so this doesn't happen again. So they're also very honest too! Great experience! Will use again if we ever have to. Nice to have a go to plumbing company you can trust and depend on. Thank you Joe and Josh!

Joe has done our backflow testing the past few years and is always so nice and easy to work with!  We recently used him for a leaky toilet and the problem was solved in a matter of seconds.   I feel comfortable and confident knowing he is my go to for any troubles that may arise.

Unbelievably good service.  We called them for 3 issues in our home. They come over, and diagnose everything. In less than 2 hours, we had a fixed sink and two new toilets installed. The best part?  They charged an extremely fair rate for repair. Highly recommend.

I can not say enough good things about Joe and his company.  We have been using him for years and sadly more recently after a kitchen flood, not his fault.  He quickly came to our aid and provided feedback that allowed us to identify what the builder's plumber had done wrong.  Since then he has been our go to guy for any issue big or small.  He is not only an excellent plumber, but a wonderful human being that is a joy to be a around.

They explained the process and began work quickly.  The job ended up being bigger than we originally thought and Joe worked with us to understand the issues and help us find the best solution.  We never felt rushed into a decision and Joe explained everything extremely well.  He changed his crews plans immediately to help us first thing the next day and was mindful of our young child to help us quickly resolve our issue.

Joe is amazing!! Sump pump stopped working I panicked. Called another company they said no it was sunday. I called boss plumbing. Joe said yes and told me an estimate over the phone. I said ok and he shows up 24 minutes later. It was a quick fix ( bad outlet sump pump was fine) he charged me his normal rate instead of sunday. He gave me some pointers and he was off.

Contacted Boss Plumbing (spoke with Joe) yesterday (12/29) afternoon after I discovered a broken sump pump and basement flooding.  Joe made it over within a few hours and had everything resolved within about 30 min.  Happy with cost of service, sense of urgency and quality of work - he even pointed out a few sizing deficiencies that after a bit of research made complete sense.  I have to admit that Jeff Ws review threw me off a tad but i'm glad I followed my gut and went with the consensus opinion - his prices were listed on his website and were comparable to 2 other service providers I called. I definitely put Joe (Boss Plumbing) at the top of my list of service providers and will leverage them again in the future.

Called Joe on Friday to set an appointment for 8 AM on Monday. Was honest and straightforward. Showed up a little early and was done in under an hour. Good guy, good business, good service.

Needed my main sewer rodded for tree roots.  Same day service.  Professional, clean, reasonably priced, efficient, and effective.  Will call them again for my plumbing needs.

I would recommend this company to anyone I know, I called in the middle of a busy day and my problem was fixed about 2 hours later.  I will definitely be calling Joe for any plumbing problems I have in the future.

The pro to this company is the responsiveness, I will give them that. Otherwise I don't know how else to describe the interaction except it just made me feel scammed.

I had a main line clog and Joe made it out quickly to my house, however I could only describe the service as wham, bam, thank you ma'am and collect money for passing go. He is a fast talker that seems too busy and going at a pace that quality is being compromised. We had a backup of our main line. 20 minutes later, dirty work boots throughout the house after standing in sewer water, and a chunk taken out of my door frame, he collected his 350 dollars and was on the way. He told me the main thing I needed to know was that in his industry it would qualify as an easy rod and nothing major. 2 weeks later my main line was backing up all over again. It was very easy to get a hold of him, but was told he could come out Monday for ANOTHER 350 bucks to rod again and then 400 more for him to put a camera down. Seemed insanely steep and felt a little disheartened that he wouldn't have some empathy or understanding after just being out. I should have known it maybe was a half ass quick 350 in cash the first time when the no guarantee line was thrown around.

I ended up having BOB from ROTO ROOTER out on a Sunday in a snow storm for 280 bucks who put a camera down there, cleared the line, taught me all about my pipes, what they are made of, that some areas have been replaced and some are original, showed me the full cleanout of the pipe, and diagnosed my issue which showed a slight break in the old cast iron pipe and a misaligned meetup of the old and new pipe causing debris to get caught on that edge more easily. THEY EDUCATED ME! We have only been homeowners for a few months and they took the time to teach me some things and explain what they could see behind the history of the pipes in my home. Thank god I didn't cough up another near 700 bucks, can't imagine his quote for the pipe replacement!

I really am a reasonable person- he came highly recommended via Facebook but I feel I'm a strong judge of character and it felt a little used car salesman to me. I will note, I made him aware of my door frame and he offered to fix it, but I really only told him because as he heard the bang of the machine coming up the stairs and asked his partner if everything was okay his other guy blatantly lied and said it was all good when he absolutely knew there was damage. I felt they didn't care the same that it happened to my little 1978 Glen Ellyn House as they maybe would have had it happened in a nicer more expensive home. I texted him the damage not really needing him to repair or pay, more just letting him know I felt the dishonesty and was onto it. Disappointing.

I am so happy with the work Joe & Josh did! Not only did they fix my issue in a timely manner, they were so kind, professional, and really went the extra mile to get the job done at a fair price.  I would definitely recommend Boss Plumbing to anyone!

Didn't use this service but I did speak to the owner on the phone. He was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions in detail. I will definitely be using his services in the future.

I don't often take to Yelp to review a service. Joe and the guys at Boss deserve an exception. Admittedly, plumbing is not an exciting field, but when it's an area where great service and integrity go a long way. We had a toilet issue that was slightly difficult to diagnose. Boss went the extra step to make sure the problem was fixed correctly and (most important) made time of the essence. In fact, the repair was made within a few hours! Joe even, made a small repair that wasn't part of the plumbing project because....that's how he is. Use Boss and you'll likely find yourself writing a review as well!

I called and spoke with Joe regarding a problem I was having with a kitchen sink drain.   While he was not able to make it, Carlos was at my house within a few hours.  Very professional, friendly, answered all my questions and did a great job. The problem was solved in about 45 minutes. Carlos was very careful to not leave any mess.  Great customer service!!

I have had Boss Plumbing work on two projects for me. On project 1 they replaced an aging water heater and installed a small pump so that I'd have instant hot water in my second floor bathrooms. The new water heater works like a charm and the pump really works well t delivering instant hot water. Now we no longer waste gallons of water and time waiting for hot water on the second floor. Fantastic.

The second project was an emergency call when we had a sewer backup. Boss came within an hour of my call on a Saturday morning and cleared a block. As a precaution, I'm having them back next week to check the sewer line to make sure it's in decent shape before I do a landscaping project.

I'm so thankful to have this resource. Boss is professional, friendly, customer service orientated and priced fairly. I highly recommend them for any and all of your plumbing needs.

I contacted Boss Plumbing based on all the positive reviews I saw on Yelp. Joe picked up the phone right away and came just hours later. He and another employee were very professional and went straight to the problem area. They gave us a preliminary diagnosis and were right about the issue! It was resolved very quickly. Overall quality, efficient, and friendly service. I would definitely contact Joe again in the future.

Woke up to a leaking water heater, sopped up the water and searched for a plumber. Found Boss Plumbing and gave Joe a call at 6:45 AM  some quick photos and confirmation Joe gave a quote and could be at the house by mid morning.  

From OMG the water heater is leaking to a nice hot water in 4 hours life went back to normal, I would call that great service.  Joe even gave me some tips on how to DIY a previous tub leak I had.  I would totally recommend and will call Joe again for any plumbing needs.

Joe at Boss Plumbing was so easy to work with. We recently purchased our first home and from the time we were negotiating with seller until we finally closed, Joe was flexible, upfront with costs, and a quick communicator. Joe's pricing was fair and I feel like he and his crew did an honest job. I'll be calling him again for all future work!

Two weeks after moving into my new place, I called Boss Plumbing to unclog a clogged kitchen sink and told Joe that I also wanted the sink replaced at a later date.  He said it would be $275 to unclog the drain.

Joe is a pleasant guy who talks fast, thinks fast and works fast.  The routing machine did not unclog the drain the first time, so he put on a cutter tip and tried again.  The clog was also unfazed by the cutter tip.  He headed into the garage, which sits directly under the kitchen in my town home.  As he started to assess where to open the ceiling, I said This is still $275 right?, he sort of laughed and said Yeah, right.  So, I assumed we'd be at least doubling that.  I should have stopped him at that point and said put it in writing Joe.  My bad, no lie.  I take full responsibility for not pushing the cost issue right there.

Joe cut a 7 foot long whole in the drywall of my garage ceiling, yanked out the insulation and replaced a 12 feet of PVC pipe that had apparently been improperly pitched when the place was built.  After he was done, and while he was working on the invoice, he got a phone call.  The woman caller cried poor as Joe put it, trying to talk him down on the price, but he was unmoved.  Told her if she could find someone else to do it for whatever price she was seeking, she should take it.

Joe handed me a bill for $1,950 and told me he was giving me a deal since he knew I would use him for the sink installation.  I was astounded at the 700% increase in cost, but remained cool.  Throughout the time Joe was working he talked at length about how crucial 5 star Yelp reviews are to his business.   Two grand won't put me out on the street or take food out of my mouth, but others may not be so fortunate.  So, get the cost up front.  He fixed the clog but shafted me on the cost with a big smile on his face the entire time.

Joe gets three stars.  He fixed the clog, which was why he was invited out.  No extra credit for doing what he was hired to do.  Rather than laughing at my joke about the cost, he should have stopped right there and given me a new figure.  That is how an honest man conducts his affairs.

Joe is a breath of fresh air when it comes to working with a plumber. His company, Boss Plumbing, is worthy of five stars because 1.) He's ultra responsive 2.) He's honest 3.) His work is good 4.) His price is fair. I will/would recommend Boss Plumbing without hesitation.

Get a second opinion.  Prices are high and you can get a quality job from a better price - despite what Joe tells you.  $600 for a camera to look at the sewer is a big fat rip off.  It costs $150 at the most to rent a camera...plus he shouldn't have to rent one.

I cannot say enough good about Joe and his son.  So much work had to be done and it took several hours.  They did a great job.  The price was really great.  I believe I could not have had all the work that they did at the price he charged from any other plumber.  And they cleaned everything up when they were finished.  I feel like a have a new friend.  Thank you so much.

Joe was great. We found him on yelp based on high reviews as we just moved to the neighborhood.  Called him on a Friday evening because we saw a leak at the base of our toliet. He was able to come the next day even though they don't do service calls on the weekends.  Very reasonable price. Quick, reliable, professional and gets the job done. Will be calling Joe for all our plumbing needs.

After making an appointment with another plumber the day before who didn't show up, we called Joe at 1200 and within 2.5 hours, our new water heater was being installed.  These guys provided fast, reliable, and courteous customer service.  Despite not being in the local area, Joe still handled everything over the phone and made the process extremely easy.  Within hours we were taking hot showers.  These guys definitely have our highest recommendation!

You hear a lot of stereotypes about plumbers over charging or adding services that you didn't even know you needed...that stereotype has been changed for me by Boss Plumbing!  I just moved to a home and of course  after day four of being here my washer broke and the installation man tells me that the hose is completely erroded and  I would need the valve and hose fully replaced.  With the panic of new moving costs and the feeling of being overwhelmed, I called Boss Plumbing.  They were  referred to me by a friend, so I made the call.  I am absolutely floored at how sweet and comforting the person on the phone was, this call alone was at the highest level of customer service.  Within the next hour they had Joe at my door with tool kit in hand and my problem fixed!  The most amazing part was, that I was convincing him of replacing parts and he found a way to fix the issue without replacing it and now the pipes literally look brand new.  I highly recommend Boss Plumbing and will never use anyone else.  Fyi... turns out the super savvy, quick thinking plumber that showed up at my door was the owner himself!

I just had the best experience with Joe from Boss Plumbing. I called on Christmas Eve with a leaky shower and Joe went out of his way to fit me in his schedule. He was professional, personable, has fair prices, is highly efficient and all around an incredible guy. I can't recommend him and his business more. With a lot of the big business out there that don't have the skills, flexibility and customer in mind, it's awesome to find a fantastic small business to support that has the customer in mind first!

Joe came out to my house during a terrible rainstorm.  My sump pump pipes had come apart and were spraying all over my basement.  I was so shaken up and was certain this would be a long day waiting for a plumber to come and hoping the duct tape I used to keep the pipe together would hold until then.  I was so surprised how quickly Joe came to my house, and within 10 minutes my pipe was fixed and all was good again.  He was so pleasant and kind and gave me good recommendations for back-up pumps without putting pressure on the sell.  I would recommend him highly.  Will be using him again in the future.

Joe saved us at Salon Neapolitan!! Being a hair salon, it is extremely important to have hot water. Bad stuff happens on a weekend or at night (like a broken hot water heater)-I called Joe at 10:00 pm at night and he answered himself. I called him based on his 5 star Yelp reviews and because the other big name plumbers would not answer their phones. Joe totally saved the day by showing up for us early in the morning with his cheery and professional crew of guys, removed and replaced the heater and had us back in business and ready to roll before the start of our busy day ahead.  What a great guy and I love small business success stories as I am in Business for myself, as well. I had gas leaking from a toilet that needed to get fixed. We called several plumbers but Boss Plumbing was the only one who answered. Joe showed up on time the following day to fix another plumbers mess. He showed up on time, addressed the problem and told me what it would cost. They are more than fair with the price and meticulous with the repair and clean up. All in all we are more than happy with their service. Boss Plumbing will be the company we call on in the future. If you are looking for a local plumber who is passionate about his business and his customers Boss Plumbing is the obvious go to. I highly recommend their services.

These guys are great.  I called them at noon and they had someone available to come out at 3pm the same day.  They quoted me a price over the phone for my leaky toilet ($90.00 less than another quote - plus the other quote charged me $69.00 just to come out and give me a quote.)  They had it fixed in 20 minutes.  Super nice guys.  It's great to have a plumber you can trust!

I too found out about Boss Plumbing through Yelp!  Thank goodness for all the positive reviews!  I had been previously given rec's by friends for plumbers but would not get a call back or any interest in taking on smaller projects!  True to the Yelp! Reviews Joe answers his phone whenever possible and texts me the night before for his arrival - his guys are super friendly, motivated and focused on their trade.  Having purchased a custom built home with lots of nuances and unique plumbing issues, Joe worked with us to come up w a solution (creating an access panel).   While here, one of his guys found a leak in our basement and was able to fix it, along with fixing another, more involved, leaky pipe.  They did a great job installing our water filtration system in the kitchen so we can say goodbye to water bottles and fixing a faulty/old seal around one of our toilets.  Definitely Boss Plumbing will be my go-to plumber and will recommend to others!

I called late on Tuesday, and they answered when I got multiple voice mails from other companies.  They offered to come first thing in the morning, but my schedule did not permit.  Ended up scheduling for today (Thursday) due to my scheduling.  Gave them the wrong address (lol) and met them down the street and directed them to the house.  They solved the problem in a quick manner and replaced a bad part.  I would recommend them to anyone having any type of plumbing issues!

A friend recommended Boss Plumbing.  I called and Joe and his crew were there the next day to put in a water line for the refrigerator and to unclog a drain line damaged by a contractor.  It turned out that the contractor installed many things incorrectly.  A few weeks later I discovered that the contractor (long gone now) had attached PVC piping over the end of a rusted pipe.  A new contractor had a plumber who came out and said he could fix the problem.  When I questioned him about who would actually do the work, he told me that his crew.  I questioned again to discover that no plumber would be on the crew!  I texted Joe because I felt uneasy.  Joe was there at 8 the next morning with his crew of plumbers (!) and solved the problem.  Boss Plumbing and Joe are my go-to to resolve plumbing problems.  Professional, conscientious, efficient!

Had Joe come out and fix a leaky valve in our bathroom that is in the process of being remodeled, I called him in the early morning since the issue needed to be fixed asap as we are going out of town tonight. He said no problem, I'm still waiting for other plumbing companies to call me back! He came out and fixed the valve plus fixed the pitch on our kitchen sink drain to prevent the hideous smell that was coming out of it previously when we moved in a few months ago. I knew there must have been an issue even though our general contractor for the kitchen remodel said it was fine. Joe gave me 2 things that it might be and never tried to upsell me or be pushy. Fair pricing for a real licensed professional. Will be calling him to come out and install our sink as well. Nice straight forward honest guy

Water in basement Sunday night.  Called BOSS Monday morning and they offered to come over immediately but I had stabilized issue and had to go into office so had no way of letting them in the house.  I explained to BOSS the issue and sent them a text pic of basement.  They game me an an estimate over the phone and said he would come over the next day Tuesday morning at 730 AM.  They arrived 730 sharp and were out of my house in less than 2 hours.  The issue wasn't what BOSS originally thought after picture and description over phone so he wrote me a new bill for $125 less than estimate.  Overall great experience: quick response, on time, and honest.

It is rare to find a business that takes pride in their work and is committed to help solving a problem.  Joe & Boss Plumbing exceeding our expectations.  He answered the phone at 6:30 a.m. on the way to a job and was at our house shortly there after.  He never missed an appointment - was easy to get a hold of - and his dedication to customer service was greatly appreciated. Found Boss on NextDoor website and Yelp. Great reviews on both. I called and Joe (the owner) picked up right away. I had 4 plumbing projects built up around the house. No emergency though, and told him no rush. Joe came out the next day for an estimate. He is a personable, good guy. He gave me a complete reasonable estimate and said he could start the next day. Crew showed up on time. All my plumbing issues were completely handled and no mess. I would highly recommend, and will use Boss again.

Waking up on a Sunday to no hot water was a bad way to end the weekend but Joe and his team had us back up and showering in no time! Great people, great prices and great service. We won't call anyone else for service in the future.

Joe was fantastic. He responded quickly and assessed our house within minutes of me calling. He was unable to help with our issue but helped us form a plan of action. He didn't even charge for the service call.

We had an issue with our bathtub not draining. The problem started to get worse so we called Boss plumbing and they sent someone out. They were very professional and on time. Starting working on the bathtub pipe. Obviously there was something in there that was obstructing the flow. We could hear them even saying that they were hitting something. Told my fiance that they couldn't get past it and didn't even mention they couldn't fix it. Their solution was to get all the plumbing fixed. Didn't even give her a quote. Charged us $275 for what they did, $75 to come out and 2 hours of labor @ $100 an hour!!!!!! The next day using the shower, the problem had become significantly worse, almost to the point of being unusable. The tub filled completely up and was not draining. My fiance called back to tell them the issue is now much worse than before and if they would come back out. Originally was told yes but after Joe talk to his guy, he told us he wouldn't. Said that it would be a waste their time to send his guy back out, all the way out to Westchester from GLEN ELLYN because there was only one solution to fixing it. Wasnt hard for him to come out here the first time to not fix the problem. Also said it was a Friday and they were too busy. Not a very customer friendly answer. We tried to be reasonable about the whole situation but then she was told that it wasnt HIS fault WE bought a house with old plumbing!!!! Blame game. Everything elses fault except theirs!! Tried to use this is the risk you take argument as well!!!! He claimed that he told her this before they started, which he didn't(lie). And that he wrote a quote down for us, which they didn't. I know he wants to believe his guys but you can also believe the customer. Thanks Joe! Really seemed like all they cared about was the money. I called and he explained his same reasoning to me. He did refund us $100 which is nice but didn't solve our problem or fix the one his guys made worse. Kept reiterating to me about replacing all the piping. Was more worried about paying his guys or wasting a trip. We called another plumbing company, they came out and they were here for an hour. Guess what!!!!! They fixed the problem. And I know Joe will be shocked, but they fixed the problem without his $1100 suggested fix. The plumber did say there was something stuck but he put a little more effort in and got through. Said it wasn't easy but he got it. This other company was there an hour and charged us $168. Which is less than what Joe charged to make the problem worse and in half the time!!! Least he could have done was refund all the money. He said he has to pay his guys. The same guys that weren't up front with  us, didn't fix the problem, made the problem worse, and refused to come appease the customer. Joe will say we were that one unusual situation but he was very easily proved wrong. Extremely unsatisfied with how everything was handled, how he talked to my fiance and still charged us for making the problem worse. Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied.

Had emergency on Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Joe came out right away, diagnosed the issue and remedied it. Highly recommend Boss for any plumbing need.

Responsive, professional, ethical, high quality work, and will never suggest you spend a dollar you don't have to.  I had never looked at the other reviews for Boss before deciding to write this one but it's clear my experience wasn't unique. Highly, highly recommend.

Joe was great!  We called him last night at 6:30 pm and he was at our home installing a brand new water heater at 8 am this morning.  Very efficient! He was friendly, helpful and honest.   the prices were fair and about average in the research we did.  We felt completely comfortable with his services and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reputable plumber in the area.

Joe's other reviews made me decide to check him out. I often feel that specialists such as plumbers, electricians, mechanics, etc are always beeing up the bill and selling you things you don't need. Not true here! Honest, prompt, polite and came the same day I called, even though I did not expect this. Told me how to save some money even though he could have made more from me. Interested in long term clients instead of quick cash. He was great!!

Joe answered the phone late at night when I got voicemails of five other plumbers. He came first thing in the morning and fixed our busted frozen pipe. Carlos did great work and both were very nice and helpful.

A couple months after we moved in to our first home we walked into a terrible sewage smell. Following the smell we realized it was coming from a drain in the basement. As first time home owners we had no idea what to do. We called Boss Plumbing and Joe told us that we just needed to add some water. Sure enough the smell went away and we realized too much water was evaporated allowing gases to creep in. We were so thankful for an honest opinion who was not interested in taking our money by something he knew we could fix on our own. A couple months later we had problems with the sump pump. We knew exactly who to call and give our business to. Joe came out the same day, replaced our sump pump with a much stronger one and unclogged a sink. The sink was quite the job as it was a bad clog and a pedestal sink, but Joe and Carlos, Joe's colleague, had no issues. Tonight, we heard our backup battery go off and noticed that the sump pump was not ejecting. We have had two days of major rain and were worried that we would have flooding if we couldn't figure out the issue. We called Joe at Boss at 9:00 p.m. thinking we would just be leaving a voicemail to call us in the morning. Joe immediately answered and came right over to check things out. We assured him we could wait and did not want to interrupt his night, but he was adamant that he wanted to make sure everything was okay. The problem ended up being a minor issue of power cords. He fixed this and would not accept any payment for coming out so late on such short notice. We cannot say enough how great Joe and Boss Plumbing are. They are efficient, responsive, professional and friendly. Don't waste any time calling any other plumbers - Joe and his team will be honest and truly are the best team to fix your plumbing problems. We are so thankful to have a reliable company so close to us -- they will forever remain our go to guys!

Honest, responsive and professional, you just can't say that about many businesses anymore but that IS Joe.  He is the first one we call with any plumbing issue. Joe makes himself available to offer guidance and options for a project in addition to the work he we will do directly himself. I would recommend Joe and Boss Plumbing to anyone!

Joe is very easy to work with and very straight forward.  I had a number of smaller issues that ultimately took more time than he likely estimated but he was very straight forward and told us that is part of the estimation process.  He was not precisely sure of one item that was very much outside normal plumbing issues,  and he admitted it upfront. We went to the internet together, found the answer and he executed it perfectly.  He doesn't try and pretend to be an expert on obscure issues and leaves you feeling very confident that the job was done appropriately.  I highly recommend him.
