Stefan was very quick in responding, and was able to go out to my property very quickly. He was courteous and communicative, and most importantly fixed my bad outlets!  Thanks Stefan, I am glad to habe found a good reliable electrical contractor!!!

These guys were amazing. I think we've found our go-to electricians for the foreseeable future. We had 5 outlets installed throughout our house and one additional line off the circuit breaker. They were reasonably priced, but more importantly, honest and didn't try to pad the bill. Darrell walked through the project with me and broke down some alternatives that could save some money... simple things like, putting the outlets in different locations to cut down on the drywall cost.

I contacted T & D Electrical to help my condo building address a building violation with our electrical driveway gate.  We required a licensed electrician in order to meet City of Chicago codes and Marcus was the only electrician of about 15 that I contacted who was available and willing to help me.  He was extremely professional from the start.  He scheduled the initial estimate within 2 days of my phone call, he arrived on-time to his appointment and called me to let me know he was on his way.  He was courteous and respectful and extremely knowledgeable about the work that we needed done.  His office staff (Christine & Siobhan) were equally friendly and quickly worked to get us the permit we needed and schedule the repair.  He warned me that it may take 4 weeks before the work could be completed, but it was done in 2 weeks!  The electricians that he sent were kind, quick, and thorough, completing the work in 2 hours, when 4-5 hours was estimated- they also arrived on-time!  The price seemed completely reasonable for the work done and came in at about $300 under the initial estimate.  Every single aspect of my experience with T & D was absolutely outstanding.  I not only wholeheartedly recommend T & D to fellow Chicagoans requiring high quality work, but I can speak for my condo building when I say that we will be using T & D for all of our future electrical needs!

This man has no customer service nor does he listen. He is always in a hurry to finish no matter the look. If I could give a zero I would.

Joe responded quickly, arrived on time, and did a fantastic job. Not only did he fix the problem that I called him for, he also discovered and fixed another problem in an upstream fixture. A diligent professional at a very fair price: you can't ask for more than that!

I reached out via Yelp on a Friday, and Chris came out on Saturday to take a look and provide an estimate (work across two units in our multi-family building). His prices were reasonable and we were able to get scheduled within a few days. He and his team did high quality work very efficiently. We'll definitely call him next time we need electrical help!

I can't praise this company highly enough! We'd been struggling with a temperamental home-lighting system--in addition to one overloaded socket  from an installation carried out before we moved into the apartment. Thanks to Greenline Electric, perplexing lights are now beaming again, and funky wall fixtures have been normalized! Esteban carried out very complicated work with true expertise, great efficiency, and great friendliness. All very illuminating (!); great!

I am late writing this review, but Ryan recently installed an outlet in my home. He was responsive, punctual and communicative. 10/10 would recommend!

Tenants, newly arrived cross-country, needed that hateful detector chirp stopped so they could sleep. Highlights Chicago were quick to answer the phone, reach an electrician, arrange an almost immediate service after hours, and completed the job quickly and efficiently. Service rate was very fair for this after hours service. Great team going into my contacts for future needs.

Steer Clear. This is not a legitimate electrical company. Gave me an estimate and did the electrical work for an EV charger in our condo building. Even though building management didn't request City of Chicago license initially, they checked for it later (it can be asked for at any time) and this company is not licensed in the City of Chicago and its illegal to do residential work without it. The job was done completely wrong and he almost blew the sump pump and electrical to entire building by connecting to a panel inexplicably and was told not to. Installed wiring that was bent and broken and taped together which could have caused shocks and burning. New contractor easily installed it - no bends or breaks. The wall outlet installed was open and exposed, and if water dripped to it could electrocute people. Sloppy, cut corners, dangerous, illegal and not up to code. Absolute garbage, rushed work. Refused to get City of Chicago license and come fix job. We will be pursuing our money back. This is an illegitimate electrical company. Avoid at all costs.

Addendum to review:

Right, I'm not an electrician , but here are couple facts that a real electrician should have known and done, that found out about your job.

You were told by the building engineer to use the 480/277 volt panel because 208/120 was already at the capacity.

You just plainly ignored that and proceeded with your version. Maybe you don't know the difference between two.

You ran 208/ 120 wires through 480/277 panel which was a huge code violation and a human life safety issue.

And that's not all:

Then you spliced those wires inside that panel multiple times -- code violation.

You then decided to use lightning contractor conduit to run the wires and overfill that conduit -- code violation.

You installed the breaker at the wrong panel (which was at capacity) so you overloaded that panel.

The wire was badly scraped

You removed pipe straps and made the electrical conduit loose -- code violation.

J boxes that you installed were unsecured and loose with knock outs missing -- code violation

I'm still waiting on the city of Chicago electrical registration paperwork  from you.

A qualified electrician would know right away that he is working with 480/277 volts and would have informed me that i needed a step down transformer in order for the EV charger to work!

On top things you have charged me over $2K for 2 J boxes and a roll of #6 wire, which costs $600 at the most. The piping was already 97% there , so what took you so long.

It took a qualified electrician a total of 8 hours to remove the faulty work and install everything from scratch including installing the transformer.

We'll happily accept a refund to settle this matter

After attempting to install a new light fixture myself I ran into an electrical road block.  Jose of Tweaks & Finishes responded promptly to my request for an estimate, and scheduled the service call for the same day!  Jose, accompanied by Rodney arrived on time, and treated me and my home with such care and respect.  Jose was extremely knowledgeable, and quickly diagnosed my electrical problem-explaining the issue(s) found along the way.  A quick replacement of a burnt out dimmer switch restored my lighting, and mended the mess I created. Jose and Rodney also cleaned up the wires behind my many wall switches which they found to be a safety hazard, and installed my new ceiling light-all at a reasonable price within my budget.  Both gentlemen were kind, professional, and mindful-cleaning up after any small mess that was made.  I am thankful to have found Tweaks & Finishes, I am looking forward to using them again in the future for a painting project. Highly recommend Jake and his team for electrical projects large and small. Early on during COVID he installed a new outlet so we could relocate a desk and while there provided some options for adding light to our dimly lit basement. We finally contacted him for the basement work and he responded right away and was able to come within a few days. The basement looks fantastic and Jake went out of his way making multiple trips to stores looking for hard to find parts. Fair prices and high quality work!

No return call.  I think in today's day and age, either answer your phone or give customers the courtesy of a call back either way.

The team at Kinetic Energy has helped us with many projects since we moved into our home in Oak Park.  Kinetic always provides competent, courteous and respectful electricians.  We feel comfortable having them work on our home.  But on Christmas Eve the owner Ted responded to our call that our living room lights were out and we needed some help as we were having guests Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.  Ted came out in less than half an hour and immediately identified and fixed the problem.  We couldn't thank him enough, he said that was his job and he was glad he could fix the problem.  Ted said no problem and wished us a happy holiday.  We would highly recommend Kinetic for all your electrical needs.  You won't be disappointed.

I had 3 people come out for discussions on our project and Tom came up with great recommendations for outdoor installation of lights and fixed some landscaping spotlights. He was reliable, helped pick out products and did a great job.  I'd definitely recommend him and will use him for future projects.

Frank is very professional.  Showed up when he said he would, explained what he was doing, and even provided a lower price than what he first quoted.  I will definitely call him again for any electrical job.  Highly recommend!

Very responsive and responsible. Alex tried to help us trouble shoot over the phone to save us money. When that didn't work he showed up promptly, diagnosed the issue, and fixed the bad breaker.

I've used Fixer a few times now for various jobs around the house and have only had positive results.
