Chose AC/DC based on Yelp reviews when we were looking to replace our kitchen cabinet puck lights with LED lighting and we're glad we did!  Stefan was great - responded quickly to our inquiry, communicated well about scheduling the installation, quoted a price and job duration which were spot on, and showed up on time.  He put in LED lighting similar to what was on his website (which is worth checking out to get a sense of options).  He was professional, no-nonsense, and really easy to work with.  We're likely to have other lighting and electrical needs for our condo and we will not hesitate to call on Stefan and AC/DC Electrical Construction.

They were awesome. Our circuit breaker went out on a Friday night and they immediately came within an hour. Both guys were honest and showed us what was wrong and explained step by step what they were doing and how they were fixing the wire and replacing a bad breaker. They were super quick and professional.

We requested several quotes for an electrical job at our home- new electrical box installation in a 16' tall ceiling along with a large chandelier-type light.

The quote wasn't the lowest we received, but the company just seemed to understand or communicate better than the other companies.

Rodrigo promptly rang our doorbell at 7am, and assessed our situation. He constructed a scaffold in our stairway for this project.

He treated our house like his own house, and was continually cleaning/vacuuming debris.

For one of our light switches he recommended a wireless switch due to difficulty of box installation, and we love it.

We highly recommend this electrical company and will bring them additional work when we have new electrical jobs. Rodrigo is a superstar electrician and customer service representative. Awesome company, impeccable work!

Ted and his son are timely, patient and respectful.  I had purchased a wireless door bell that wasn't compatible but try they did to get it right, they will be kindly coming  back to put in my new purchase.  So glad I finally found an electrician that I can call on for any future electrical work.  I highly recommend Honey Do Home Electrical.

CALL THIS GUY!!  I spent a good portion of year, hundreds of dollars and went through 3 other electricians before I found Joe.  After explaining the symptoms, he pinpointed a random electrical issue I was dealing with in minutes.  He charged me a small fee for his short time spent and followed up the next day to be sure all was well.  I will definitely use him again and will be telling all my friends. First of all, I rarely write reviews but I was so impressed I felt the need to write this one.  I needed a light switch replaced in my kitchen.  Chris responded quickly with a very fair estimate yesterday and was able to schedule an appointment for today.  Chris is professional, courteous, efficient and very reasonable with his charges.  I have already discussed having him replace some light fixtures in my house.  I highly recommend ALC Electric!

Edward was awesome! He was very helpful and answered all of my questions. Very communicative! He and his team installed five pot lights and a second switch in our hallway. They did a wonderful job and was incredibly efficient. We love our new lights!

I called Ryan in the early evening and within 3 hours he was at my apartment and installed an outlet.   He is knowledgeable, friendly and easy to work with.

Boz and his crew have been wonderful while working on our center, Kids Academy! While Kids  Academy had the option to work with many other companies, we chose Highlights because they seemed honest, professional and fair in pricing. They have a kind and trustworthy demeanor and really built that trust with us right away. Every member of Highlights that was on site was friendly, professional, respectful and knowledgeable. They were fair with pricing and provided top quality for their work completed.
We can't recommend them enough. They are excellent.

Steer Clear. This is not a legitimate electrical company. Gave me an estimate and did the electrical work for an EV charger in our condo building. Even though building management didn't request City of Chicago license initially, they checked for it later (it can be asked for at any time) and this company is not licensed in the City of Chicago and its illegal to do residential work without it. The job was done completely wrong and he almost blew the sump pump and electrical to entire building by connecting to a panel inexplicably and was told not to. Installed wiring that was bent and broken and taped together which could have caused shocks and burning. New contractor easily installed it - no bends or breaks. The wall outlet installed was open and exposed, and if water dripped to it could electrocute people. Sloppy, cut corners, dangerous, illegal and not up to code. Absolute garbage, rushed work. Refused to get City of Chicago license and come fix job. We will be pursuing our money back. This is an illegitimate electrical company. Avoid at all costs.

Addendum to review:

Right, I'm not an electrician , but here are couple facts that a real electrician should have known and done, that found out about your job.

You were told by the building engineer to use the 480/277 volt panel because 208/120 was already at the capacity.

You just plainly ignored that and proceeded with your version. Maybe you don't know the difference between two.

You ran 208/ 120 wires through 480/277 panel which was a huge code violation and a human life safety issue.

And that's not all:

Then you spliced those wires inside that panel multiple times -- code violation.

You then decided to use lightning contractor conduit to run the wires and overfill that conduit -- code violation.

You installed the breaker at the wrong panel (which was at capacity) so you overloaded that panel.

The wire was badly scraped

You removed pipe straps and made the electrical conduit loose -- code violation.

J boxes that you installed were unsecured and loose with knock outs missing -- code violation

I'm still waiting on the city of Chicago electrical registration paperwork  from you.

A qualified electrician would know right away that he is working with 480/277 volts and would have informed me that i needed a step down transformer in order for the EV charger to work!

On top things you have charged me over $2K for 2 J boxes and a roll of #6 wire, which costs $600 at the most. The piping was already 97% there , so what took you so long.

It took a qualified electrician a total of 8 hours to remove the faulty work and install everything from scratch including installing the transformer.

We'll happily accept a refund to settle this matter

Rodney and his team did a wonderful job painting our entire condo! The walls needed painting and caulking in some spots and now the walls look brand new. They were very clear about communication, responsive, and reliable. They also painted everything more quickly than expected, which was great! They covered all of our things nicely and I love how our walls look now! They are also covid-safe. I am so happy we went with them and would definitely hire them again for future painting needs.

Jake and Lenox were a great team- they were efficient and were able to locate the source of our electrical problem. They replaced 2 GFI's and have literally brought light back into our lives! We'll definitely be using them again.

Kudos for fast, friendly, and great service. I needed some electric work done with a short window to get it finished. The reply to my text was quick. Within an hour an appointment was set for 3 days later which is when I was available. Johnny showed prompt. Got the job done and gave me some great ideas for other remodeling questions. Thanks guys. I used Kinetic for a variety of small projects at a building I used to own in Oak Park. Always did quality work. The electricians were always friendly and great about explaining what was wrong. Would always recommend them.
Kinetic installed a motion-sensor light on my garage. Less than a year after it failed. Called them. They check the records, called me back within an hour and had a guy out here by noon. He tested it and it was defective. Three hours later I had new light on my garage at no cost.

Tom and his crew do such great work! Highly recommend them. They installed 4 outdoor outlets in our yard and also trenched wires underground so they were no longer exposed to the elements. They were on time, flexible, and just care about doing the job right. Tom is a really nice guy who walks you through all the work ahead of time. Don't hesitate to reach out to him!

Very responsive and responsible. Alex tried to help us trouble shoot over the phone to save us money. When that didn't work he showed up promptly, diagnosed the issue, and fixed the bad breaker.

I have used Fixer for various handyman tasks - hanging a heavy mirror on a plaster wall, changing out a tricky light fixture, and removing old tile and drywall in a bathroom.
