Issue regarding a transformer.

These guys were amazing. I contacted them after my whole house lost power. They were prompt, communicative, and kind. Nell and the owner came to my rescue. I feel really safe with them in my home and they did a great job not only fixing the issue but helping me understand what happened so I could better care for my home. He is the person to call for quick and easy fixes - he says he specializes in service calls (installing light fixtures, troubleshooting things around your house). Received great and prompt service from Edward and Julio to install a nest doorbell that needed extra work than the simple install on the packaging. Julio was very respectful of the end cosmetics and worked with us on very professionally the project. Bonus points for mask wearing!

I contacted Ryan after running into a problem installing a new light fixture.  I reached out late Saturday morning and he was here by that afternoon!

He was kind, and professional and even took the time to explain to us where the issue was with the existing wiring (even though I'm sure it was obvious it mostly went over our heads). In no time he was at work putting in the new fixture while chatting with my husband and myself and even getting in a few pats on the head for our very eager puppy who was so excited to have someone new in the house.

When all was said and done we had a safely wired, fully functional light fixture in our living room much more quickly than I had anticipated. His pricing was fair and as he left my husband and I breathed a sigh of relief that we had finally found an electrician nearby that we feel we can count on for any future needs.

I needed additional electrical outlets on my rooftop deck and the skilled electricians at highlights did an amazing job installing them. They arrived on time, wore masks and were friendly to work with. I now have five extra outlets to use in my outdoor space. I highly recommend them for your next electrical project!

Steer Clear. This is not a legitimate electrical company. Gave me an estimate and did the electrical work for an EV charger in our condo building. Even though building management didn't request City of Chicago license initially, they checked for it later (it can be asked for at any time) and this company is not licensed in the City of Chicago and its illegal to do residential work without it. The job was done completely wrong and he almost blew the sump pump and electrical to entire building by connecting to a panel inexplicably and was told not to. Installed wiring that was bent and broken and taped together which could have caused shocks and burning. New contractor easily installed it - no bends or breaks. The wall outlet installed was open and exposed, and if water dripped to it could electrocute people. Sloppy, cut corners, dangerous, illegal and not up to code. Absolute garbage, rushed work. Refused to get City of Chicago license and come fix job. We will be pursuing our money back. This is an illegitimate electrical company. Avoid at all costs.

Addendum to review:

Right, I'm not an electrician , but here are couple facts that a real electrician should have known and done, that found out about your job.

You were told by the building engineer to use the 480/277 volt panel because 208/120 was already at the capacity.

You just plainly ignored that and proceeded with your version. Maybe you don't know the difference between two.

You ran 208/ 120 wires through 480/277 panel which was a huge code violation and a human life safety issue.

And that's not all:

Then you spliced those wires inside that panel multiple times -- code violation.

You then decided to use lightning contractor conduit to run the wires and overfill that conduit -- code violation.

You installed the breaker at the wrong panel (which was at capacity) so you overloaded that panel.

The wire was badly scraped

You removed pipe straps and made the electrical conduit loose -- code violation.

J boxes that you installed were unsecured and loose with knock outs missing -- code violation

I'm still waiting on the city of Chicago electrical registration paperwork  from you.

A qualified electrician would know right away that he is working with 480/277 volts and would have informed me that i needed a step down transformer in order for the EV charger to work!

On top things you have charged me over $2K for 2 J boxes and a roll of #6 wire, which costs $600 at the most. The piping was already 97% there , so what took you so long.

It took a qualified electrician a total of 8 hours to remove the faulty work and install everything from scratch including installing the transformer.

We'll happily accept a refund to settle this matter

They did an awesome job with a painting project at my townhouse! The painting looks great, and they were very reliable and pleasant to work with! There was clear communication throughout the process, and the job was finished very efficiently and professionally. I would highly recommend and hire again in the future!

Needed a Tesla wall charger installed in our garage.  Jake showed up on time and offered a few different options with full explanation of each.

Once we agreed on scope and price he went to work.  You could tell he has installed a ton of these.   Job was completed in a timely manner and he left the area cleaner than when he started.  

Charger has been used daily for a few months now without issue.  Would recommend.

Neville was so communicative from the moment we reached out and kept us informed via text with pricing, timing, and updates! I really appreciated that we knew when Johnny was arriving and had all the information about costs and potential costs up front! Johnny did an excellent job - he worked efficiently, quickly and fixed all of our issues! It's a no brainer if we have electrical needs in the future - we'll be returning customers. Where to start....  Ted is a true professional, we received the quote promptly and were able to schedule an appointment on the spot. Carlos showed up exactly at 9am and dove right in. Extremely friendly guy who knows his stuff. Local guy who lives in the OP area most of his life. Not only did he do the job assigned perfectly, he fixed two of my doors!!! We are now continually feeding them more jobs as I type this. Highly recommended!

Edit: Carlos came back to label the fuse box today. He was searching for some wires that were not contacted. He found two large gaps where my current contractor left where the new rooms met the main house. If he didn't find these I would be in a world of hurt come the next storm! At this point, I can not recommend high enough!

Tom and his crew do such great work! Highly recommend them. They installed 4 outdoor outlets in our yard and also trenched wires underground so they were no longer exposed to the elements. They were on time, flexible, and just care about doing the job right. Tom is a really nice guy who walks you through all the work ahead of time. Don't hesitate to reach out to him!

Frank is very professional.  Showed up when he said he would, explained what he was doing, and even provided a lower price than what he first quoted.  I will definitely call him again for any electrical job.  Highly recommend!

Very responsive and responsible. Alex tried to help us trouble shoot over the phone to save us money. When that didn't work he showed up promptly, diagnosed the issue, and fixed the bad breaker.

These guys are great - friendly, affordable, professional.  Highly recommended.

We discovered a leak in a pipe from our kitchen sink on a Sunday, submitted a work request online that evening, and it was fixed on Monday.  He had a replacement part on him and we were charged only for the hour visit.

Additionally, Edgar was experienced and professional and was able to fix an issue with our master bathroom faucet within the hour, as well.

The online request form does require that you provide a CC number, and while we did so with trepidation, it all worked out find and indeed made  the payment process seamless when the work was completed.  They are a very user friendly high tech operation - everything done online or via text.  

If we encounter other household repair issues in the future we will certainly consider reusing Fixer.
