Best Electricians in Chicago, IL

We were warned by homeowner friends when we moved into our new home that a good electrician is hard to find. We didn't realize this until our power kept glitzing and turning off in the basement whenever we have space heaters on.  Did a yelp search and got numerous quotes but Stefan's from AC/DC  was the most reasonable.  He came and assessed the problem, replaced burnt-out hazardous outlets and advised us to get baseboard heaters. He came back to install them and create a separate circuit breaker a week later. We are very happy with the work he's done, and we didn't lose an arm and a leg with the price he charged. Yes! We found a good electrician. He's definitely a keeper.

I told Darrell I was working from home and had to be on a con call. He said they would text me when they got there which they did. The guys waited patiently as I wrapped up. I pointed out the areas while Darrell was on the phone and they confirmed the price before proceeding. The guys wore masks, asked questions, gave explanations and worked quickly. I would recommend them and use them again.

Return calls the same day, prompt arrival, & timely turnaround. My washer kept blowing a fuse & a timer for stairwell was out. Electrician was thorough in explaining the issues he found & got done in an hour. I had to run out to hardware store (3 blocks away) to buy a new timer but that didn't add to time as he coordinated both projects well. Will definitely be calling them in the future for a rewiring project I've been considering.

Did great work at a fair price. Did exactly what he promised to. Finished the project on time. I recommend him to family members and would definitely use again.

Quality at affordable prices. Had him do several things including installation and fixing some other electrical issues. Other places quoted weeks to come out, he completed the job in under 7 days. Will definitely call for all future electrical work.

For all you single women, first time homeowners, who are getting ripped off out there, search no more. Chris is an honest professional. He's done mutliple jobs at my place now and trust me, I've searched the quotes. His work is clean, up to code, and even educates me on the do's and don'ts. For me, this goes a long way. His communication is exceptional, his thoroughness is easily visible, and he keeps it real. when you find a good contractor you share him, because there are a lot of contractors out there that are so demanding and the job is total trash ass. That's the worst.

I had a great experience working with Greenline. Edward was very responsive, helpful, honest, and reasonably priced. They upgraded the electrical in my house and did a fantastic job. I would recommend Greenline for any electrical work.

Ryan is very professional, thorough, and provided excellent service.  He replaced a very old chandelier and three way switches.  He explained everything fully, quick and cleaned up afterward.  I'll be going to Ryan for all my future electrical needs.

My tenant was not able to get power in half of her apartment. After calling Highlights, they were able to send over a tech within 30 minutes. Ben arrived and was wearing a facemask due to COVID and was able to troubleshoot and solve the issue within 30 minutes. Unfortunately, four days later my tenant lost power to 2 of her rooms. After contacting Highlights, they sent out Ben and he was able to find the source by cutting a portion of the dropped ceiling to find a hidden junction box in which he was able to rewire and restore electricity not only to both of the rooms but also to a ceiling light fixture in the hallway that was not working for awhile. Ben was able to reattach the portion of the ceiling wall that he cut into as well. I was very pleased by Ben's professionalism throughout the duration of his services. Rogelio did a good job on our building. Repaired some outlets, in the apartment, garage, and outside of the building. He shared photos of his progress. We talk over the phone to clarify details and got a quote on the spot for additional work that was necessary and was finished the same day after getting the parts needed.
He is also bilingual, what helps communicating easier for a larger population group.
All good overall.

Outstanding customer service!  I needed same day service at my home.  While the Fixer could not come that day, they gave me the names and numbers of other reputable electricians in the area.  I was really impressed with their helpful service, and I would certainly come back to them.  They deserve to be the top of the Yelp list.
