I had Pat and another guy come out to fix a backed up bathroom - toilet, tub and sink were all backed up. They came out promptly and fixed the issue but charged me a crazy amount : 350 to snake the stack and another 300 to pull the toilet. So $650 for an hour's worth of work. I felt scammed afterwards but was desperate to get the bathroom working again. A couple of months later, which brings us to today, here I am with everything backing up (obviously a larger issue with the stack in my old house). Luckily my plumber had time to come fix, charged a reasonable amount and also let me know that the previous plumber (Pat) used putty to seal toilet instead of proper toilet seal - the current back up leaked into the coved ceiling of my dining room on the first floor. Not only expensive, they took a shortcut which caused a very costly issue to repair.

My basement flooded and my water heater went out. I thought I know how to light it again but I couldn't get it working. I called Mac thinking I needed a repair and he walked me through how to get it working again over the phone! AMAZING service - he could have charged me for a visit but he didn't. Highly highly recommend!

Everything everyone said about this place in other reviews mirrored my experience.  Fast, friendly, efficient.  A plumber named Dex came out very late on a Friday night to assess a toilet which had stopped flushing.  They assessed the problem as a clog beyond my unit.  It would require the whole nine yards, removing the commode, using loud machinery, etc. which couldn't be done that night.  A regular auger didn't work.  

They were upfront about the price at $875.00. I will leave it to the reader to determine if that is appropriate or not, but my condo association president didn't seem to think it was out of line.  And because they couldn't resolve the problem that night, they didn't charge me anything at all for that visit, even though they attempted an auger.  I thought that was a very generous move.

They sent me the estimate.  I tried to see if they could get someone out on Saturday, but they couldn't send anyone til Sunday morning.  I did say I was going to try and find same day service elsewhere, and they didn't bat an eyelash, even though they wouldn't have made a penny on the whole transaction.  Having no luck (except with one company I didn't feel comfortable with), I went back to Rescue Plumbing because I really appreciated what appeared to be their honesty and upfront communication (again, I can't speak to the pricing).

Dex and another person (whose name I didn't get) came back as promised on Sunday morning, completed the service, and everything seems great!

The ONLY reason this is a 4-star (really, 4 1/2 stars) rather than 5-star review is that, after all was said and done, they wanted to add $99.00 to the total for the Friday night service call, even though the total estimate was supposed to be inclusive.  I was able to push back on that only slightly, and they backed down on it.  But it was a little sketchy, which marred an otherwise completely satisfactory experience.  I will definitely use them again!  But I will get estimates for pre-planned work as comparison, as I know nothing about rates for plumbing services.  I think that's good practice, anyway.

I had a variety of plumbing issues on a condo I purchased. Scott was great, he was quickly able to diagnose the problems. After he knew what components were needed, he quickly ran to the local hardware store, came back with what he needed. He was thorough in addressing the problems and didn't leave until he was satisfied things were working properly. I highly recommend him, and will absolutely use him for any future issues.

I called Rocket Plumbing today at 12pm to schedule an appt to get my garbage disposal fixed. The lady was polite and professional and scheduled a plumber for 3p. Same day service is a major plus!  20 minutes later she called back and said she could have a plumber over in 20 minutes. At 1245p Marlon showed up. Real friendly guy right off the bat! Came upstairs diagnosed the problem and explained everything to me. He ended up fixing the problem without a glitch but then I just decided to replace the garbage disposal with a new one. I asked Marlon to take a look at a small leak I have going on one of my toilets. He told me it's small right now and have some more life in it but Rocket Plumbing can handle that also if needed. But this is where Marlon really came through. I had a minor gas leak coming from a pipe that was attached to my water heater. Marlon was able to smell it faintly right when he walked into the utility closet.  I told Marlon it shut down yesterday and I had no hot water. I had to relight the water heater yesterday.  Marlon was on top of his game. He knew where to go test right away to see if there was a gas leak and he was able to show me with my own eye where it was. Considering he's a family guy and I have two little ones in the house he knew the importance to try to figure out what the problem was. Thank you Marlon. You're a stand up plumber Marlon, and Rocket Plumbing is lucky to have you! If you're looking for a solid plumber Marlon is the way to go! I'll be asking for him specifically if I ever need a plumber again!

I had their services twice now and I am pleased with the work. They're  responsive, communicative, and fair priced. I will continue calling them for my maintenance service and plumbing issues.

This is the second time using Windy City Plumbing and they were great again! From beginning to end, the entire process was easy. Mayra was very polite, courteous and informative over the phone.  José was very professional and efficient when he fixed our sink.  We appreciated that they wore a mask while in our home and they also had a contactless payment option. There aren't enough stars to provide an accurate rating for First Chicago Plumbing. I reached out with an immediate need, our water heater had decided to go out on one of the coldest days in chicago. The entire group of people was the most friendly and accommodating to work with. They had someone out within the same day, had the quote for the new unit within minutes of the site visit, and the new unit was installed within 48 hours. There were several follow ups from them after the installation making sure everything was working properly which was awesome! Everything was explained throughout the work that was being done. I cannot stress this enough, if you need a plumber in the city of chicago you have found them. Highly recommend this group!

Kevin was referred to me by Ed of Red Electric.  Kevin repaired and replaced a lot of gas pipes at my home.  He is honest, responsive, smart, skilled, friendly and fair.  He also looked at redoing a bathroom, and had a lot of smart recommendations.  I highly recommend Kevin and his company.

Jesus is great.  Very responsive by email, which I appreciate since I sometimes take care of these things at odd hours when I don't feel comfortable making a phone call.  Came and did a camera job in our drainage pipe, gave a good explanation of what he observed there, and offered to come take care of it in the future.  Sent video footage through email.   Looking forward to having him here again!

For a long time I was looking for a good lighting solution in my back yard and could't figure it out until I got in touch with Darrell. He came up with few ideas and umbrella lights were the winners. Chris came exactly on time to fix a clogged drain in our bathroom sink. He did the job quickly and charged a very fair price for his work. I would highly recommend ABV and definitely will use them again.

We had some water leaking from our ceiling under a bathroom. I put out several request for quotes on Yelp and Dmitry was one of the first to respond and the only one who didn't push me off until business hours or ask for a consultation first before offering an appointment. We chatted within minutes of my response to him; he offered some troubleshooting over the phone, and was able to get someone out to us within 36 hours.
Lenny arrived to the minute of his promised arrival time, was very efficient, and did a nice job explaining what was needed. He even looked at and addressed an unrelated issue for us. And he left us with a very nice gel pen.

I had Juan and his team to replace a kitchen sink for us. The team was the best. Juan and the team did an excellent job, and they were really fast and made everything look really nice. And they cleaned up everything after they finished. I would definitely recommend him if you need to hire someone for sink installation, the price was reasonable among all others that I requested. I would recommend him to my friends and families as well!

I found Noel on Yelp a while back for a clog and now he has done 4 projects for me - including a burst pipe emergency in January and he was right here to get it taken care of!  He is the always informative, walking through the current problem as well as what we need to consider down the road for preventative measures (if necessary).  The best thing I can say about a person is that they know their stuff, and Noel does!  Yesterday, we thought we had a problem, Noel came over right over today to  check; ended up  it was user error - kind of a funny mistake on our side ; but he made no judgement and walked me through what needed to be done. He is very focused when working - to get the job done as thoroughly yet as quickly as possible.  He is the cleanest plumber too, very attentive on keeping his work area clean as he works and the area always looks as good (maybe even better!?) as when he started.  Noels work ethic is excellent, professional and as I said before, he knows his stuff!!  One thing I have learned is that anything with water/plumbing needs to be done right the first time and without shortcuts;  with Five Plumbing, you won't need to worry.
