Friendly, fast and very knowledgeable.  We needed a handyman to come and re-attach our stove hood that fell off the wall the previous night.  Andrew was here the next morning and fixed it better than before.  Would definitely use him again.

Kevin and Dan did excellent work partially remodeling our master bathroom. It looks fantastic! Kevin makes well thought out recommendations based on experience and know-how as a business owner and Dan is very capable in executing the job. We look forward to having them back for further home (condo) renovations. We will definitely be recommending Welter Home Services to our friends going forward.

Happy New Year ...... and we have no heat on the second floor! I called Armbrust Heating and within the hour Jeff came out to our home, diagnosed the problem and fixed it. We now have heat and I am overjoyed at the care and professionalism shown to us by Jeff. We are life-long Armbrust customers and I can't thank Jeff enough for handling this situation so expertly! I kept apologizing for calling him out on a freezing cold holiday, no less,  and he could not have been  kinder or more gracious.

LOL, I go to the InSink yelp page to do a review and I see the picture of the snowy yard being excavated and did a double-take.  Hey, that's my yard!

We had some recurring problems with the sewer line getting blocked, and the outfit we were using back then (won't name them but it rhymes with Roto-Scooter) claimed we needed $10K+ worth of work to replace a supposedly broken pipe.  I brought in InSink to get a second opinion because I thought I was getting scammed, and it looks like I was.   InSink cleared the problem, and we had them install an outside cleanout, which is the snowy digging going on in the photo .   They were great.

Loved guy showed up in a mask. He was polite, efficient and prompt. I plan to have him do some work for me after the thanksgiving holiday.

What can I say about Welter Plumbing other than they are the best! Dylan and Reco came out and were kind, courteous, knowledgeable and so helpful. They listened to my problems and concerns and made very quick work of the problem.  Welter Plumbing are incredible

As a property manager I am always in need of a good plumber, along with other trades. Central Plumbing Co was a pleasure to work with from the beginning. They were on time for the initial appointment to provide a quote and on time for the repairs. Prompt paperwork, repairs, and documentation. Their work quality was great and the employees took time to layout cardboard, drop clothes, and were thoughtful of the property. When I'm in need of a plumber in the future I will be using Central Plumbing Company.

We are the type of people who like to ensure that area businesses are patronized, thereby retaining money in our community, so, we always contact area businesses/contractors no matter our needs or the size of the project. In this instance, and being totally fair, we want to describe our description of work we wanted to be done, how it was addressed, and our experience with this company.

Last year we needed to replace an exterior ejector/sump pump, rod, and clear exterior run-off/rainwater pipes and have a first-floor toilet replaced. We called Pittman, which is located less than a mile from us. We made an appointment after explaining our needs. They called to confirm the appointment, arrived promptly and reviewed our job. A gentleman who identified himself as a partner in their family-owned business provided us an estimate including the service charge. We had already purchased the ejector/sump pump and the Kohler toilet that we wanted to be installed and asked them to use those products/materials. However, in adding the rodding job we realized that either he was joking or simply didn't want to do the work by making the charge entirely too high - by hundreds of dollars. As for the toilet - we didn't have much of a choice since it would create a hardship not having a bathroom available for use. After finishing the job we asked why their prices were so high. The gentlemen actually laughed while suggesting that if we wanted less than quality work we could pay less.

Several weeks later, we discovered we had a clog in our upstairs bathroom drain, which stopped the vanity and the tub. We called Pittman, told them the problem and they dispatched a crew. We explained to them that we also wanted to have a new Kohler tub drain assembly installed since the original one had already been removed. They removed the clog in a matter of minutes, using an air pressure device and cleared some debris from the p-trap under the vanity. I reminded him about the tub drain assembly to which the gentleman replied that I had the wrong part(s), that it could not be installed and to call him when I actually knew what I was talking about. His manner was condescending and dismissive even as he suggested that he was willing to drop the service charge associated with the visit. I asked him to reconsider installing the device since I was certain that I had ordered the correct part(s) assembly. He declined. We paid them, and they left. I ended up installing the device myself within an hour, thereby concluding that either he didn't know what he was talking about or, once again, he simply didn't want to do the job.

Fast forward to one week ago. A property we owned required the unstopping of a tub drain. We called Pittman, set up an appointment, explained our needs, and met them the next day on the job site. The crew examined the situation but were ultimately unsuccessful after working on it for just over an hour. One of the gentlemen explained that the configuration of the pipes, trap, and drain prevented them from clearing the blockage using conventional means. He stated that he wasn't sure, but believed that the only way he could clear the pipe was to cut the wall of an adjacent bedroom, the floor and the kitchen ceiling beneath the bathroom in order to access the pipes, remove and replace them - all without guarantee of success and adding that they would not be responsible for replacing or repairing the damage done as a result of their work.

We were stunned. but accepted that the work would have to be done.
He sketched out several confusing diagrams to explain his assessment and how it could be fixed. He also included an estimated price/cost - a very high one ($1300.00 to $1500.00) for the job alone. We greenlighted the job provided that he would present us with a formal/detailed proposal. He responded that the document would be ready by that evening of the next day but he would not be able to start work until two days later. We asked how he would be able to properly convey an accurate description of the problem/solution to his co-worker without him seeing the job. He claimed it wouldn't be a problem.

We were not contacted as promised, no email or message was sent. We called Pittman's offices. They claimed not to know about the project, would search it out and call back. They did not and they still have not reached out to us.

The least they could have done is told us they did not want to do the job - for whatever reason. They are very unprofessional in that regard, even if you are a repeat customer. Not being direct and honest with a customer is not the way to go.

As an aside, we found another contractor - outside the neighborhood - who determined that the job could be done for over $500.00 dollars less and retains references/contact with contractors who assess and repair damages resulting from their work. They promptly provided a detailed assessment and estimate, to begin work almost immediately.

Excellent service!  Came on time and reasonable pricing.  I'm new to area, Crestwood, IL, so Yelp helped me to find these plumbers and they came through.  Highly recommended.

Our water softener broke sending the beads from inside it to and through all the pipes and fixtures. Quite a mess.

Alfonso cleaned out everything we weren't able to clean ourselves and then came back today to install the new softener.

I am very impressed with Alfonso and All Affordable Plumbing.

I have to change my previous review. Pat came out quickly and discovered my problem. The delay was with getting the permit from the city. They returned promptly and resolved my collapsed drain. Nice job.

in the past, I'm pretty sure I've had the worst plumbers in the Chicago area, and now I'm so glad I've found the best with Walsh & Son.  In the past couple of years, John has come to my house three times: this week for a damaged outside hose faucet and pipe; another time for toilet problems, etc.  He has always been professional, knowledgeable, polite, punctual, and neat . . . and his price is more than fair. In short, he is everything you hope a plumber to be.  I rarely write reviews:  only for the very best, and the worst.  If you call Walsh & Son, you're getting the very best!

George is extremely knowledgeable and is the reason Harlem Supply exists. George was never let go, he owned the business, sold it and stayed on to help teach the new owner the business.  It is very hard to help people, when they can't clearly tell you what is wrong.  It is because George's help is still needed that he came back.  The business was set up to serve plumbers primarily, but they are always willing to try and help non-plumbers.  I would give them 5 stars, but they just can't always have everything you need in stock, nor can they have all the personnel needed to immediately wait on every customers - no one can.

I am very thankful and grateful to Vilano plumbing, we had a situation where another contractor started the work and could not pass the city inspection, Vilano was highly recommended to me by a friend, so he came out and explained what was wrong, very knowledgeable, better than the inspector, he had to redo almost entire job but we passed inspection on the first time the inspector came back.

I have used them before, a little pricey but did the job.  I called them for major plumbing work.  They came out looked it over and seemed interested in the job.  After that I could not get them to call me back or talk to me.

My family has a couple of old brick buildings , we been doing business with South Chicago  Plumbing , since 1976. Great knowledge, very friendly, and most of all a great inventory of parts and supply for older buildings . They have the parts and supply that you cannot find any where around Chicago.  They recommend other shops if they don't have the parts. Now that's true business !!!
