I contacted this plumber because of the great reviews on here and he's close by. He seemed really nice and told me to text him my information and he'd keep me updated on whether he could make it out to help us or not. I text him twice with no response. We waited on him all day to see if he'd at least say he wouldn't make it so we could call someone else. We didn't have any water by the end of the day and it got very frustrating. Now we had to call a plumber to come out in an emergency because this guy didn't even bother to let us know if he'd come. We trusted him bc of the reviews and didn't expect this. Now we're stuck paying extra emergency service fees for the weekend when we could've called someone else before our problem got worse. I didn't get a text until this morning so I know he was getting my messages. I would not use them or recommend. Very unprofessional.

I had called Szabo Plumbing to repair a leaky toilet wax ring on a tenants apartment and was quoted $275, which I considered fair, considering a licensed plumber and fully stocked truck would have to drive there and do the repair. What I didn't consider fair was when the shut off valve didn't work, they charged me an additional $200 to put a new one on. Now I understand if I called them out for just that repair, $200 may be reasonable, but they were already on site for the other repair.
Not to mention they never contacted for any additional approval prior to replacing it, just a text message from the plumber onsite stating the new total would be $475.
I contacted Wade, to discuss the upcharge and was told I actually recieved a discount as they normally charge $250.00 per valve, but he would talk to Kevin himself and see if anything could be done.
As I was away on vacation, I told him I would contact him in A week when we returned.....well, called him twice since returning, NO CALL BACKS.
I decided to check my Credit card, and now see, they not only charged me the $475, plus an additional $14.75, not sure for what reason, as I never received an itemized invoice e-mailed as promised.
I've always considered them fair in past work they had done for me, but as of now, have lost confidence in Szabo Plumbing and will no longer use them, nor recemmend them to friends and family

UPDATE: Upon  Kevin being made aware of this situation , he personnally reached out to me, apologized for the error, and made things right. I will continue to recemmend them and use them as a first choice for my future plumbing needs.
It just shows he is truely compassionate about customer satisfaction, THANK YOU AGAIN KEVIN FOR TAKING TIME OUT OF YOUR BUSY DAY TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS.

I called early in the morning and a pleasant person answered the phone.  The plumber showed on time (actually a little earlier :-)) and was very friendly.  Additionally,  they quickly solved my plumbing problem.  I would use them again in the future.

Juan and his team were very professional and timely.  My toilet was acting up, and I actually had another company come over to assess the issue.  They were not able to, so I called Go-Rooter.

Juan and team came over on time and figured out what was wrong.  That was several months and I haven't had any issues since.  I'd turn to them again for any plumbing needs.

give them a call. You will not regret it. I had a very old toilet needing  repair. Michael came and looked it over. He suggested that it would be best to replace it rather then try to fix. Gave a complete description of what they would do and offered a very fair price. Gino came the next day to install. Here's the amazing part. The new toilet's base was a little smaller then the old toilet. The floor tile didn't cover the area. About an inch short. Gino said he could patch around it but first wanted to know if I had an old tile that matched. I didn't. So what does he do. Takes a picture of the tile with his smart phone and goes looking to see if he can find a match. Went to numerous stores but unfortunately could not find a match.          He patched around the toilet and it looks great. Now how many plumbers would take the time to make that kind of effort. And did not charge extra for the time Gino was gone looking for the tile. They charged the exact price Michael gave me the day before. I will use these great guys again if I ever need plumbing service.

We contacted Specialty because of the excellent reviews and we were not disappointed.  Kevin was able to come out and replace our sump pump seamlessly.  Very nice guy, prompt and fair prices.   We will save Kevin's number anytime we need a plumber and will refer him to our friends. Thanks again!

Getting a plumber on the Southside of Chicago is practically impossible. After calling many places they were the first to accept. I called on Wednesday morning and made an appointment to check my tub that was leaking and they said they could come the next day and we set a time. The next day they call me 15 minutes before he's supposed to be at my condo to say they're cancelling. I ask why and he says because they're booked up. I ask how they could be booked when I made an appointment? and he responds with we checked our logs and we have a bunch of people ahead of you. I honestly don't even know what that means. How did you not check you logs when I made the appointment? As I said I made the appointment in the morning, so at no point during the ENTIRE day did you check you logs to see if the appointment was available, after you guaranteed me a time? Sounds like a load of bs to me.  He also said if I couldn't find another plumber to call them back. I guarantee you, even if I don't find another plumber, I will not be calling back. So take that how you want, they seem to be very unorganized and unprofessional to say the least.

Don and team provided excellent customer service and top notch plumbing service! They were true professionals and on time, reasonable prices, and went above and beyond to satisfy our plumbing needs. We will definitely recommend them to our family and friends.

Boss Plumbing was able to come out the next day. Freindly, fast and affordable. Would certainly use again.

Great service! Luigi was wonderful. I had a leak and Luigi arrived within 2 hours on a Saturday and within the hour fixed it.

David & Ray did a great job plugging tree roots out. They was on time also very respectful and nice. I recommend them for now on... Thanks for the great work y'all have done this morning.

Ralph recently handles two jobs for me at a rental unit in the city.  He did a great job, showed up on time and communicated the issues to me.  Couldn't ask for anything more and will definitely use Ralph again in the future.

Spending money on replacing appliances is never pleasant. However, Victor at Hinsdale Plumbing made it an easy, painless and an informative experience. He replaced our 75 gallon water heater. From the moment when we called him for a quote to the point when he left after finishing the installation, he was very communicative, professional and credible. He educated us on the whole process and provided us with a good quote with no nickel and dime upgrades. A single quote that never changed. He came on time and did the work with minimal asks. The workmanship looks great, the warranty is comforting and the fact that is he is very responsive makes me feel good about the whole process. Had a toilet clog came out rodded it-Keith did an excellent job, even  helped me with my master sink in my bedroom.  Great plumbers would recommended them to family and friends.

Pete is a very knowledgeable plumber.  He is straightforward with the scope of the work and pricing and a very fair person to work with.  I appreciate his craftsmanship and use him whenever I have the need for a plumber.

My wife were in a bind with our hot water heater going out on a Saturday.  Debbie responded almost immediately. They came out on Monday morning replaced the tank for us.  Matt was great.  Top notch, very friendly, conscious of protecting flooring and very informative.  Would highly recommend them for your plumbing needs!!!
