I had just closed on my house on 03/26/20 Wednesday, and then discovered a little puddle of water in my basement by the floor drain and furnace today, 03/28/20 Sat. I have not even moved in my house yet so I was freaking out. The home warranty company I purchased, American Shield Home Warranty, were horrible! When I called them to send a plumber, they said they would send one asap and have them call me. Well, I kept calling them, and gave up after waiting for three hours since no one would follow up on my service request.

So, I decided to do a google search for plumbers and found Mr. Burris' company. I decided to call them. Mr. Burris called me in less than an hour and asked what the problem was. When I told him the problem, he said that he was coming right away.

Not only did Mr. Burris diagnose the problem right away, he fixed it. The water turned out not to be anything major. Mr. Burris was honest and he did not try to advantage of me since I was a new homeowner. He went above and beyond his duty. He educated me on my heating, cooling, and plumbing system and that is priceless.

Thank God for Mr. Burris. I highly recommend him

Martin is exceptional! This is our first home, and with young kids he has helped us with everything from basic maintenance, fixing dings and damage, to larger projects like tiling and renovations. He gives excellent options that are cost effective, safe, and beautiful. He has a wide range of expertise and he always wears his mask and takes safety precautions very seriously.

This is a long-overdue review of an excellent business!  I've had them come for two jobs at my house: redoing closets and refinishing a cracked and peeling ceiling in the kitchen.  Both jobs were done flawlessly by workmen who were professional and friendly.  Compared to many conrators that take your money and do bad work, or take your money and leave a project half-finished (I've experienced both), these folks are conscientious, careful, and make sure that you're happy with the product. I will definitely come back with more work for them!

I called Your Helpful Plumber because both of our upstairs showers were broken. There was a leak in one of the showers, which had seeped into the ceiling of my office, and the other shower had no water pressure. The plumber arrived within 90 minutes of my call (as promised), quickly identified the problems with both showers, fixed the water pressure issue within an hour. They told me the other shower simply needed to be re-caulked, which was something I was able to do myself. They didn't pressure or try to upsell me to do the caulking job, which was nice. The price was very reasonable, even more so because I bought the Yelp deal. Will definitely call them for other plumbing issues in the future.

Thompson is the best. First off they answer the phone and show up on time.  I had a leak in a copper pipe in the basement that was handled quickly and professionally.  One outfit quoted my 5 hours labor charge for the repair.  The Thompson plumber fixed it properly in 45 minutes.  They will be the one I call if I ever have any other plumbing issues.

Tim was amazing -- he came out right when we called, fixed the problem AND MORE! He fixed a tub that was not draining (gross!) and now it works fabulous. He also helped fine a water line off valve that many other people, including another plumber, couldn't find. He was very patient and did all this work at a reasonable cost. Highly recommend to anyone!

We called Body plumbing to repair one of our leaking backflow valves. He gave us good price on the repair and he even came twice to work on it after the first attempt did not come out right at no extra charge. His pricing however on testing was good but we found better so we will use another company for yearly testing. We will definitively call him again to get pricing in the future though.

Needed to find a new Backflow inspection company for our home - as our previous vendor chose to shoot up prices beyond our budget.
I was very pleased to have discovered Chicago Backflow.
People I dealt with like Nick, Tiffany, Jessica - and our technician Alan are all superb.  I get the sense this company must be managed very well, because everyone has a very nice attitude and exudes warmth.
Alan showed up right on time at 7am (even with snow falling) and was efficient and had a very kind demeanor.
Price was appropriate.

Thank you, Jon!  I had him out to fix my shower faucet, and he took care of it.  Jon even showed me what to do for minor maintenance issues.  He also tightened/realigned my sink faucet at no charge.  He was on time, on budget (less than Vanguard), and everything works!

PS... make sure you call Jon at The Plumbing Doctor not John at A Plumbing Doctor.  Two different people and two different companies.

The first contact was pleasant and professional. The lady on the phone listened to my story and propose different options that would fit my situation. She then set an appointment 5 days from the time I called.
That day, a crew of 2 arrived. They assessed what to do pretty quickly, opted for the cheapest solution, explained very clearly what I should expect and then proceeded to start the routing.
It was hard work. The guy holding the routing pipe is pretty big and strong and I could see how difficult it was, how straining the whole process is. But he kept a smile on his face and did the job efficiently and quickly. I knew he had been successful when my toilet drained properly.
Great service! I highly recommend.

Jay with Pressure Pros was the best! I called yesterday and left a message. He called me yesterday night and scheduled me first thing this morning to fix the hot water pressure in my shower/tub. Jay was right on time, extremely friendly, and good with our dog. I highly recommend if you need good work done by someone who is nice and trustworthy. :)

Oh yuk.  They got the job done, a big job, replacing the drainage system under the basement floor, but it wasn't easy.  The biggest problem is their office staff.  They (she) were simply wildly inaccurate about when things would get done.  Two days of work was missed because of the riots in Chicago.  The work was performed in Evanston.  There wasn't any problems within miles.

The cost was three times that of a similar service would have cost by another company.  The homeowner hired them because Blanton was the only service available and the homeowner had to get the job done immediately.

They had one very good worker who seemed interested in getting the job done and done right.  The rest appeared to be pick up laborers.
