Hired Zoom Drain after looking all over the place on Yelp and elsewhere for someone to de-root my sewer line. Found Zoom Drain on Yelp, and e-mailed them along with several others. They were very responsive and helpful setting up the appt. Christian was the technician who arrived. He was VERY helpful. Walked me through the whole inspection (I wanted to learn what was going on). Inspected the whole line. It turns out - there wasn't a root problem! The pricing was absolutely fair and he didn't oversell any products/services - very honest and helpful. Any future work or big projects, they will be first on the list to use again! Couldn't recommend enough!

When we had a plumbing problem the first time in our new house I didn't know who to call, was lucky enough to call Performance Pro Plumbers...they were fantastic- affordable and honest about repairs.
SO when we had a second problem, with a leaking toilet- we knew who to call.
Shannon was out NEXT day at no extra cost- was honest about damages, efficient and as always friendly. The leak was taken care of immediately, everything was cleaned up, as if nothing ever happened.
We live in a historic house and I have no doubt we will have future problems, but I have no doubt who to call when we do. Thank you !

The entire experience with Paul the plumber was excellent start to finish. He was easy to contact, showed up when he said he would, was able to fix the problem immediately and we wrapped up payment electronically. THIS is how all service calls should go, thanks Paul!

I hired forte plumbing to install a new kitchen sink and faucet and to repair the leaky pipe under it. Robert forte came with a woman who was to do the work. she started work on the sink and pipes 3 hours later she was finished. in the bathroom she installed the pipes and faucet , then realized the faucet didn't fit. she left , came back with another faucet and installed that one. six hours later Robert forte came back with another plumber and said the kitchen sink was not right. they removed the kitchen sink and reinstalled it. I paid them. four days later I am still removing caulk that is oozing from the kitchen sink I went to put back the toiletries under my vanity and the door fell off. I called the office and the woman said that the door was probably broken before. I asked if someone could come and fix the door. no one called me back. VERY DISAPPOINTED INEXPERIENCED PLUMBER SLOPPY JOB FROM A COMPANY THAT I TRUSTED .

Our sump pump broke down, and we noticed a small leak in our basement. We called on Sunday Morning and Dominick was available and able to show up within two hours. He replaced our system quickly at a very reasonable price and was very helpful. Will definitely be using Dominick for any future issues and recommending to all of our friends and family.

I highly recommend Burr Oak plumbing. We had a whole houseful of plumbing issues that Pete took care of for us. His pricing is fair and his work is excellent!!!!

I called to schedule a service. When I told him what was involved, he never called back. I was not important enough to service.

Had septic backup through a floor drain, called this company on a weekend to come have a look. Technician showed up promptly, stuck around for an hour or two, tried rodding a clean out but gave up before actually fixing the problem. Technician said i needed to have the pipes hydro jetted for 1700$ or replaced for 17,000$ in just one section! After finishing, he handed me an 800$ bill and basically didn't tell me anything other then I have a blockage without fixing the problem.
Next business day I called my normal septic company, who came out and actually fixed the issue for 100$.
Would definitely not recommend this company.

We have some gas leaks in our house and our home warranty company, AHS, assigned Drain and Plumbing Services to come out to see what work needed to be done. Martin from Drain and Plumbing Services came out and was very professional and pleasant. He let us know that one issue was likely a fireplace valve and would not be covered under warranty and we discussed how it would be best to resolve that issue and were looking forward to having him come back and do the work for us. The second issue, however, according to Martin would require a lot of work to bring our plumbing up to code. And Martin told us that their company is a small shop and not likely able to handle the job. He said it would likely have to be reassigned to another company who had more manpower and could do the work. So when Martin left, we were under the understanding that we would hear back from Drain and Plumbing Services about scheduling the work to be done for our fireplace valve (for which we would be paying ourselves) and about the reassignment of the other work to a new organization.
Two days passed and we didn't hear anything so my husband called to follow up. The phone rang about 30 times before he finally got through to some woman's voice mail (which sounded like a personal voice mail) and he left a message. She never returned his call. He called Drain and Plumbing Services again today, another two business days since his last message, and finally got through to someone. According to this woman, she didn't have any notes about the fireplace valve work that we were supposed to have had done and she said that our home warranty company was supposed to have contacted us about the other work because they would not approve the work to be done.
My husband then called our home warranty company. Turns out that Drain and Plumbing Services did not file the work order properly with them and put it all as work needed to bring our plumbing up to code, which is not true. So AHS tried calling Drain and Plumbing Services directly in order to get an estimate from them about how much of the work was to fix the issues (the leaks) vs how much of the work was to bring the plumbing up to code. Drain and Plumbing Services would not provide AHS with this information and so AHS has now assigned our work to a different plumber.
So, while we were very impressed with Martin who came out to evaluate the work, we have been extremely disappointed with the complete lack of follow-through and zero sense of customer service from their office. They have left ushanging with no contact for a week now and all efforts on our part to try to contact them have been difficult and unprofessional. I would not in any way recommend this company to anyone considering having work done on their home, especially if it is in any way time consuming or difficult.
EDITED/EXPANDED REVIEW POST RESPONSE FROM DRAIN AND PLUMBING
No, we are not at all upset with our home warranty company. We are upset with DRAIN AND PLUMBING for their complete lack of customer service and for completely abandoning us for the work that we were planning to pay for out of our own pocket.
Our home warranty company ended up assigning our issue to a new vendor who then had a different approach to a resolution which was completed at 100% by the Home warranty company.
Drain and Plumbing should be ashamed at how they treated us and even more so for their response to my review in their attempt at trying to twist my words to make them look innocent. Shame on you!!!

I'm a Realtor, and in certain circumstances my clients need to get an estimate quickly to keep contract terms or in order to make a decision to move forward on purchasing a home. My clients decided to us MD because they were local in Skokie where the home they were looking to buy was located. They could potentially offer information on sewers or certain blocks which had past flooding issues. The owner Mark seemed professional when my client set up the appointment. My client could not make the appointment, so I stepped in to meet The plumbers who were going to scope the sewers and estimate changing out galvanized pipe to copper.
I received a phone call 5 minutes after our scheduled appointment that they would be 15 minutes late. Don't call me after you are late, I already know you are late. If you are telling me how late you will be, don't lie to me. Finally an hour after our scheduled appointment they showed up. No second call, no apology from the workers when they got there. Not good.
They scoped the drain, we looked at the pipes and I reiterated we needed the estimate for the interior pipes. My clients were planning to ask for a credit from the developer as this was not completed with the rehab. We needed to know how much to ask for, and need to back this up with a written estimate. When I wrote the check to pay the plumbers I asked how long till we received the estimate and stated by the end of the next day was fine, but no later.
It's over a week since I met them now and still no estimate or answer when I attempted to contact them. I had to cancel two of my own appointments that night due to their tardiness. The least they could have done was finish the job. As soon as I handed over the check I had a feeling they were just going to walk away and not finish the work supplying us with the free estimate as asked for.
I cannot recommend Mark or his plumbers as my experience left me feeling he is dishonest and unprofessional. One would hope that when you pay a tradesman to do work, they would stand by their job and not disappear as soon as they get the check. Apparently if you want that type of service from a plumber you need to look else ware. I hope this review persuades you to do so.

This company sends out very knowledgeable people that know what they are doing. Jason was great when he showed up and took care of my issue. I have been using this company for several years now and I am glad I did. I will be having them do some other work in the spring that has to be done. I would recommend this company to all my friends. They do wear a mask and they cover there shoes when they come in to the house. Thank you Courtesy, keep up the good work and the great customer service.

I called several plumbers on a Saturday due to a clogged sewer line. Few even called me back. Greg called right away and was over within a half hour. Greg couldn't have been nicer. Great job. Reasonable price.

They were available to work quickly, and did good work. David was patient and explained not only what the issues with my plumbing were, but how they were caused.
All in all I felt like they took good care of me.
Work done was replacing a pip with a root rupturing it, cleaning a grease trap, and replacing a toilet seal.
They worked with financing partners that allowed for flexible terms that worked for me.

I had a leaking valve by the water meter. Mike was the first to respond to my request, and based on my pictures of the problem gave a quote. In two days, Derrick came and replaced the valve. He was personable and skilled. I was impressed with Mile's responsiveness and Derrick's efficiency. Since I only got one quote, i don't know how competitive is the pricing. Overall I am very satisfied.

We live in an older home built in the forties. There are few people familiar with some of the older homes in Hinsdale and the piping. We reached out to Soltwich and they were responsive, affordable and helpful. We definitely recommend their services.

I called 4 Season Heating and yes they came out fast like all the commercials say but I couldn't be home so my wife meet the technician. They diagnosed the problem with our furnace and gave my wife a price of $1500 for the repair and part but then tried to sell her a brand new furnace for over $7500 when our current unit was not even 6 years. The tech tried to say if they make the repair and it didn't work they would still charge the full quoted price and then need to just keep replacing parts until they found the issue and it could end up being close to an equivalent cost.
I called another company for a second opinion. They came out and came to the same diagnosis of the potential problem but called the manufacturer for us and determined the unit was still under warranty. They were able to get us the part replaced free ($500) and charged $185 for labor...you can do the math.
I would do your homework , make sure you get a second opinion when dealing with this company. I know I won't ever call them again.
Not worth the $85 service charge.

I am so upset with Ed the Plumber. They charged a ridiculous amount of money to show up for a simple job. When I tried to discuss this with them, I got the same sorry, there is nothing I can do speech, and if I refused the service, they were going to charge a $125 fee for showing up. The woman who answers the phone hung up on me when were discussing her unscrupulous pricing tactics. We had used Ed the Plumber in the past, but I will NEVER use them again, and I encourage anyone else NOT to use them as well.
