The water heater at my rental property failed and my tenants woke up to cold water and water pouring from the tank.  I took a chance with All-Star based on reviews and am extremely pleased with their performance.  They gave me an honest quote and then a discount for replacing the second identical water heater that was also at the end of it's service life.  Vinnie was a complete professional and had the new units installed and running so the hot water was back by the time everyone came home from work.  I've had mixed experiences finding honest, quality contractors in Chicago, so it's a relief to know there's a plumbing company out there I can trust.  I highly recommend them.

Joe and his team are amazing. They were able to meet a very tight deadline to assist me with several repairs needed to sell an estate property. Moody has also assisted my aging parents with a variety of repairs to their older home over a period of many years, helping them to resolve some seriously old plumbing conundrums. I called around 1 pm, and already had an expected time window between 2-4pm. Mr. Rivera came out and explained every little detail on what was happening. He was extremely punctual, fast, and super honest. He even gave good advice for the future in making our plumbing more efficient. I will not work with anyone else now! Awesome experience!

I've used this service twice and each time was happy! The estimate they gave me to root my sink was lower than a competitor for the first visit. For the second visit, they allowed me to purchase my own replacement kitchen sink disposable which saved me money. They also replaced my faucet.

Denny helped remove an old mailbox and helped install a new one in our building. He was efficient with his time and charged at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend him for any handyman services.

Originally I was unhappy because of the cost, but I reached out and they offered to discount some other work for me if I want in the future.  To be fair, I agreed to their price and they fixed the problem same day, even if it only took 10 minutes.  Toilet still works well and they are a reliable company.  I recommend working with them and wouldn't hesitate to do so again.

I had a few items that needed attention. Calling a plumber is never something one wants to do, but if you call this service, you can rest easy. They do quality work and very reasonable rates.  He came on time, he did the work in a timely manner, and he was receptive to any questions. We even had an extra issue that needed attention, and he did that too and charged a discounted rate because he was already in the house.

Excellent service! Dominick and Howard were great to work with and addressed all the issues with my kitchen sink. Replaced the valves and the kitchen faucet so there are no more leaks or concerns. Patrick and his team are dependable and professional! They have the latest tools in the industry to get the job done right and effective! It was fun watching them work. I learned things and had them back for repeat service. They did 2 sewer scope inspections for me, rotted out my sewer line and made great recommendations for remedies with our making me feel pressured.

Andersen Plumbing and Heating is my go-to for plumbing needs.  I moved from one side of town to another, and I'm glad I'm still in a region they serve!  Mario is truly a rockstar, and I always ask for him when I need something fixed.  They dug a trench, re-routed the sump discharge, replaced my dishwasher and disposer and re-did the piping in the sink so it was compliant with Illinois plumbing standards.  A plumber you can trust is worth their weight in gold, and Anderson delivers!

We wont ever use them again.
2/18 - confirmed gas leak in basement with workers in home, called plumber (Right Away Plumbing, Heating and Cooling) to diagnose and fix. They were having trouble with finding the leaks using their tools and said they found a leak where I couldn't smell anything. Trusting their expertise, we agreed to a repair.
2/18 - paid for diagnostic and repair work from plumber
2/19 - wasn't in basement to smell anything no work was done that day on our Reno
2/20 - Called people's gas to come out because I could still smell gas. Gentlemen came and found leak by old valve and water heater, was able to make a few adjustments to temporarily stop leak and did diagnostics again and found no issue.

I called right away plumber to let them know their equipment was problematic and request a refund on the diagnostic work they weren't able to do. In my opinion, it isn't safe to state you can clearly diagnose and repair a gas leak if you are not able to diagnose it. The person I spoke with (the man who did the repair and who I was speaking with on the phone) screamed at me that the gas company should have cut off my gas so Right Away plumbing could do the job. He said he was going to try to get the guy who fixed the issue for us from people's gas fired. Said he would send some money back though after I made it clear I would be escalating this as I felt this is a very unsafe way to do business.

I called 3/11/2020 because we had not received money back for the diagnostic work. I let him know we have a document from the gas company with what work they diagnose and fixed for us. Plumber again was very combative and laughed and said he was waiting on a lawyer (not sure why???) and he didn't care who I complain to about the problem with his service.

We have a baby and live above where the gas leaks were. I can't believe this company's reactions or response to their error that could have left us in a dangerous position. To this date we have not received the full refund for the diagnostic work that was unable to be completed, or safely.

Had sanitary sump pump issues, and they were quick to respond and did an excellent job replacing it with new!

if you delete one review, Yelp will delete all the older ones. So I'm leaving this one here to say that a billing issue was resolved. I'd gone from a 5-star review to a 1-star review on Friday, but the owner emailed and texted me to resolve the issue in less than 24 hours. I don't want to wipe out my complimentary reviews below, but yesterday was chaos. I'm glad this company didn't completely let me down (permanently), considering I'd been one of their biggest cheerleaders for three years straight. I STRONGLY recommend they carefully choose outsourced work though.
