We contacted Glendale Welding based on prior reviews and BBB ratings.  Getting an estimate during the pandemic proved challenging, after 4 failed attempts I called Larry and he scheduled, arrived promptly, sketched the job  and walked us through the process.  Composite wood gates are a challenge because the slat product is in high demand with little surplus.  He quickly went to work, and was able to secure enough product for our project.   From quote to install less than 3 weeks. He also hauled away our old gates at no charge.  We are very pleased with the look, functionality of our new entry and RV gates.

We had originally stopped by another shop because we had seen their ad in the mall; when we arrived to their showroom four people sat around with not even a hello as we browsed for about 7-10 minutes discussing options. After no one paid us any attention I quickly knew how the future of working with this company was going to go..been there, not gonna do that.. So we left and that lead us to find Steel Shield after some research.

Steel Shield answered right away and we got an appointment with John Haines. John is a great guy to work with. Once John took the time to go over what we wanted he made a few suggestions but we ultimately decided on what we originally wanted and he didn't pressure us, just informed us.

John took his time taking the measurements, told us he would be in touch and we saw home once more after that as he wanted to double check his work.

When the gate was ready, right on time, two guys came for the install and did a perfect job. I'm pretty anal when it comes to alignment and equal spacing but between john's measurements, the actual fabrication of the gate and the install they couldn't have nailed it more! Solid, great looking product that you couldn't get installed any better.

Overall, we love our front porch gate and we loved our rare experience of working with a company that clearly takes pride in their work.

Our garage door was slow to open and making a strange noise. I called Frank with SGD and he was very nice and helpful over the phone. He was able to come out the next day and had the issue fixed in no time. He was onetime for the appointment, professional and efficient. He even followed up next day to thank me for choosing him and to make sure everything was good. A+++ service.

Great customer service, I told them what I wanted to building and they helped me with all the hardware and suggested he best way to do it.  Also gave me a first time customer discount and military discount.

Rob, the owner of the company is hands down the best. He is honest, detail oriented, reliable and customer oriented. He gets the job done with no problems or issues. He and his crew are friendly and easy to work with. His prices are fair and straight forward.
Without hestitation, he ranks a ten out of a ten!

Jason came out to my house, fixed the gate, installed a couple of stops to prevent the gates from opening in the wrong direction as promised.

We he arrived, we noticed the wall the gate was attached to, was separating from the house, he was able to straighten out the wall and installed a bracket to the wall and the house.

Everything is working great again.

I wouldn't hesitate to use Alpha again if needed.

I needed to build a block fence to enclose the yard of my new house.  The house had a large yard and I needed 230 ft of wall, Dan from Toro Construction met me at my house on time, provided me different options and was able to give me a really good quote on the spot.  I was able to coordinate the wall construction to start right after some trees and oleanders were removed.  His team arrived early everyday and in just three days my entire wall + gate were complete.  The wall looks great and I couldn't be happier with the result, customer service, and price!

We got estimates from three different pool fence companies but ultimately decided to go with this one. They weren't cheaper but oftentimes you get what you pay for and this is not something you want to skimp out on. Leonard provided great customer service and was speedy in getting us scheduled for both the estimate and installation. The workers who installed the fence did a great job. Plus rather than being contracted employees they are actually employed by the company. They really know and believe in the product and customer service experience.

You can get a 10% discount for paying cash. We were also able to get a very small group discount for scheduling our installation at the same as another neighbor.  

I also recommend putting an alarm on the pool gate. It only costs $10-15 at any home store and having that extra alert system can give you more peace of mind and provide an extra step of safety.

Our pool fence looks great and we actually like the way it makes our backyard look more than before because it separates our different spaces well. Plus now we can relax and enjoy our backyard more knowing our little one is safer in the backyard.

Mike is a true expert in his field. I've had him build me a few custom shipping and work tables. They have all turned out exactly how I wanted them/exactly what I asked for. He's accurate, quick, and easy to work with. If you need any kind of metal fab work done, Mike is your guy.

My spare tire mount broke and M&M trailer repair helped me pick out the right replacement, cut off the old one and superbly mounted the new one. He took great care to make sure it was mounted correctly. And even though it took him longer than expected he honored his price.   Highly recommend.

Ralph welded our gate latch and adjusted our gate. It now works excellent and securely. The quality of Ralph's work was outstanding.

Got our front court yard door and they did a awesome job!! Nice people came out in under a week after we called them. Installer was done in under one hour. Reasonable price !!!

Its nearly 5 years since we had the doors installed and they have held up well. One of the locks had a problem, but the guys came out and repaired that. One of the best investments we have made to the house. great for keeping the bugs out, keeping the house secure and allowing us to keep the doors open for a through breeze most of the year...

Well we have had the doors for well over year and I must say it's been one of our better investments. Other than the initial problems with the locks, they have held up well and look great. It's a pity we didn't have them installed years earlier. We can safely lock the 2 outside doors and leave our main front and back doors open all night to let a through breeze. It's great.

First Impressions finally did the right thing and sent out a more experienced technician. Both locks repaired without fuss. I guess the first technician they sent was very weak and gave me the run around with some ridiculous stories. I must admit I do like the quality of the doors and install was good. So not sure whether or not I should over-look this hiccup in service. upgraded from 1 x star to 3 stars. If the locks hold up i will move up to 4 stars

Nice doors and good initial install. However, we have had a lot of problems with the locks. Key wouldn't come out when fully turned. We had the service guy come out and he said he couldn't replace the lock until it fully fails!!!  We have to go through all kinds of contortions to get the keys out - it seems it has to be aligned up and down correctly before you withdraw the key. Now the front door is doing the same thing.  That's just totally ridiculous... and incredibly frustrating. The doors are only approx less than a year old.

If I had read all the bad reviews I see on Yelp about this company  - I should have gone elsewhere - stupid me for not looking first.....

Sereno custom fence saved me. After I fired my first fence guy for doing a horrible job and stealing my money   Juan came out looked at what was going on and what he would have to fix and complete. The job was started less than a week later and done in 2 days. It's beautiful. They did more than I could have asked for and more than I expected. Will hire this company again in a heartbeat
