I posted my project the morning of 7/3/18 and was quickly contacted by Chad. He said he could come by early in the afternoon and would be ready to do the work (install a ceiling fan and remove/replace in foyer both with 18ft ceilings) right then in there if I was ready. Chad and Ryan were both personable, friendly, easy-going, and very careful with their large ladder and our hardwood floors. We ran into a bit of trouble when it was discovered that the down rod diameter for the ceiling fan was too big and they patiently waited while I went down the street to L**ws find a down rod conversion kit. While I was at the store looking for a solution, Chad was on the phone with other lighting companies to find something as well. The conversion kit worked, and Chad and Ryan finished the job and made sure the floors were clean from ceiling drywall dust, etc. before they left. They even offered to take away the cardboard boxes everything came in. I would not hesitate to use Galaxie Electric again and highly recommend them.

SJO came out to replace a switch for me. Fast, efficient, friendly. Great guys! I would definitely call them again.

Jim and Brian were fabulous! We had many contractors come out and give bids and 4a electric was the only company I would work with. They are very knowledgeable, professional, came early and worked late, completed the project on budget and to code. They were the only contractors we worked with that cleaned up everything, thank you for doing such a great job!

Here is a poser, a question, if you will: If my new Generac Ecogen generator is the ONLY electric power source causing my off-grid well pump breaker to trip, and after FIVE service calls from his knowledgeable tech Ryan without determining the power failure cause of said generator, why on earth would Spectrum Electric's owner Billy Judy, suggest that my best solution to a tripping breaker would be, Replace your working 20 amp breaker with a 30 amp breaker. Then also recommend bypassing this safety device altogether and change to 20 years of flawless 12 Ga wire with 10 or even 8 gauge wire?! Sure, my safety breaker won't trip anymore... My house will probably burn to the ground and and start a forest fire... But my pesky safety breaker won't trip any more.
Might be time to report Spectrum Electric in Conifer, CO to the State Electrical Board, the BBB and 9 Wants to know. Probably Small Claims Court with the local reporters present might be my best (and you, dear reader's solution). Read on....
Well, I have been fighting with Spectrum Electric and more specifically, Generac generator for 10 months. My Generac Ecogen variable speed 15kw has never operated correctly. Ever. It will not consistently provide reliable power to my off-grid home.
Let me be clear, Ryan, Ben and the field techs are fantastic and knowledgeable folks. They are caught in in the middle. They know my generator should be replaced.
Spectrum's owner, William Billy Judy.. I'm not sure after multiple phone and email chats if he gives lip service or actually cares. Of course of the five times Ryan has been to my house, the owner never has. Billys best solution? Bypass your 20 amp breaker that has and continues to work flawlessly for 18 years (with the Ecogen off) with a 30 amp fuse. Better yet, he says, just bypass the entire breaker and replace the 12 gauge wire with 10 or 8 Guage wire. Then your breaker won't trip anymore! (Sure, my house will burn down, but my breaker won't trip because of the Generac Ecogen generator failing to operate properly!)
The owner's daughter, Kristen Judy? Wow. She is a treat. She should not be the customer service face of Spectrum. She has a unique ability to argue with you when you call with an issue and actually consistently tries to infer that the mechanical issue is your fault. She is one who would smile at you while twisting the knife.

Jim,
I still recommend we change the well pump breaker in the 110V panel to a 30A
And re-wire to the invertor with #10 ga. copper wire.
This should solve the tripping issue.
As for the Eco Gen Generac will provide warranty support per there warranty parameters.
We can discuss soon.
Have a great holiday weekend.
Best,
Billy

Paul followed up quickly when I put out a quote request. He gave his very reasonable rate up front and made time the next day to complete the job for me. He was on time, did a fantastic job, and was really fast. Amazing electrician and definitely my go-to moving forward.

I just had Frank Knight remove and replace an attic fan. He came and removed the motor and came back four days later with the new one and installed it. He was very efficient, honest, and reasonable in costs. After the job was completed he sent pictures of the installation and how it was working. I would highly recommend him for any electrical tasks.

I had mixed results with this company. Overall I give them a solid OK.
I hired them to wire a gazebo. The electrical part seems perfect, but the mechanical part left something to be desired. They trenched the electrical line, and accidentally cut a telephone line and a drip irrigation line. They promised that they would call back the same day with a schedule for repairing these two items, but it took several days and a follow-up email from me to get a date for this repair. A week and a half passed between when the accidental cuts occurred and they were repaired. They did a pretty good job of restoring the trenched area, but forgot to put back some border stones and boards.
Communication with them is weak in general. I sent them a detailed description of the wiring job, and they sent me a draft estimate. Their lead technician also came out to check the work area, and said they would send a revised final estimate. However, I didn't receive anything, and upon contacting the office again they said the initial estimate was also the final estimate. They did the work for the indicated price, except that I agreed to a slight increase because the trenching required renting more equipment than they expected.

I found Jason very easy to work with for a complete service change at my house.(Breaker panel and meter box) I got the right vibe from him on the phone and that carried over to in person. He is a very competent electrician and did a nice job working around some issues encountered with short feed wires in the meter box. My favorite part was that, I did not have to upgrade to expensive Arc Fault breakers for this job. The inspection passed easily and the inspector commented on the neat work. I also like his business model which got the work done at a price that was right for both of us. I normally do most of my own work around the house but if I needed an electrician again,I would definitely call Jason.

I was in need of a Swamp cooler ,After numerous estimates I decided Ultimate Heating was the right choice for me.
In the next few days the cooler was installed quickly.
After spending 5,000 dollars with the company,2 months later in August my swamp cooler was acting up making loud vibrating noises.
I called and a tech was sent out a few days later, he noticed the drive wheel was stripped out causing it to vibrate loudly.
He took pictures for the manufacturer ,saying this was very uncomen, He tightened the drive wheel and said I will be contacted in a few days for a manufacters warranty repair.
A few weeks went by and nothing.
I then called them to see what was going on ,still no-one has any idea.
4 more calls and still nothing happening.
After Nearly 3 months I received a call that the parts were in and we scheduled a appointment.
I had asked for a free winterization since I was unable to complete this due to the repair that was needed.
It was agreed too, when the work was completed and the winterization done I was given a 100.00 bill for winterizing.
I couldn't believe it,I called the office and no-one had agreed to this credit.
Spoke to the owner and she said this was not her fault that the unit didn't function the way it should.
Who's is it mine the customer that just spent 5,000 for a product that you sell that you don't stand behind.
After arguing with her as to why it took 3 months to get a warranty repair, completed after calling numerous times she gave me the free winterization not willingly of course.
Why is it you can have excellent customer service before and during your install but after the money is exchanged there is no service.
I Will not be calling on Ultimate Heating and Cooling again, very disapointed on there service .

I'm kind of split on how to review 1st Choice Electric. I called them out to add some above-counter outlets to a basement bar project I am working on. They were initially very quick to respond, and exceeded my expectations on the first part of the job as far as quality and cost were concerned. Once the wiring was ran and the outlet boxes installed in the wall, we needed to wait for the cabinets, countertops, and backsplash to be completed before they came out to install the actual outlets and run the line for an outlet at the end of the bar. I was so impressed with their work, and the fact that they came well under their bid price, that I decided to go ahead and pay the full balance, even though the job wasn't technically complete. Big mistake on my part. Now the bar is complete except for the electrical, and I have been trying for a week to reach Mat (one of the owners, and the person I was dealing with) to schedule the last steps, to no avail. I have tried calling (left a voicemail) and emailing him, and even have yet to get a response to an email I sent to the company's email address. I'm not in a huge hurry to finish (although I am looking forward to being done), I just want them to at least respond with an idea on when we can get it done, and also to know they didn't stiff me. I guess the one good thing is that I saved enough that I can have another electrician come out to finish the job they abandoned, and still not go over budget.

This review is well deserved. I have been patient with Mark and his company since October, they wasted 2 months of my time and wanted me to wait an additional 3 months for the repair. Throughout this whole ordeal, I have been the one chasing this company with reminders regarding estimates and paperwork. Let me put in perspective, I have been trying to get this fixed since October and I finally dropped their services today after getting an email that pretty much told me that everything was going to be fixed until February or March. THEY HAVE NOT EVEN STARTED! These are examples of how awful their customer service is: Day 1) I specifically requested a heads up when they were going to stop by to look at the damage as I wanted to be present and I work during normal office hours, well they showed up whenever they wanted and I had to request my mom to let them in; 2) They promised to submit an estimate and I had to chase them around for the document as it was being requested by my insurance company 3) after I got my insurance's go ahead AGAIN they never followed up as promised 4) I told them to process the repair permit while I was out of town since it took 2 weeks, I came back and they did not process it. FINALLY, today was the cherry on top when they just told me that they were not going to be able to start until late February or March.
AVOID this company, they will waste you and your insurance's time. Now, I will have to search for another electrician and go back to my insurance. At least I dropped them, if their work resembles their customer service, I don't want to imagine seeing the final product.

I have a basement to finish, architectural drawings, and decided to try this company based on the reviews. I was barely able to tell him that I wanted my basement done when he starts telling me about how busy he is with several businesses I've never heard of. Only after I very quickly told him about the fact I was pulling permits and have drawings from an architect did he seem the least bit interested. He simply gave me his email and said send me the drawings and I'll send you a quote. I should have known that he wasn't the least bit interested but I sent the drawings anyway, and over a week later, nothing. I wanted to give them a fair shot but apparently they don't need the work. That's okay. Like my wife said, move on with life and find someone else. I will remember this going forward and steer anyone I know of looking for electrical work away from them.
An interesting fact happened after I posted this. Dustin apologized and blamed various things for his lack of response. He said he would be more than happy if I contacted him with my plans to his email address and he would gladly help me out. Well, I sent over my architectural plans for him to view directly to the email he gave me. It has been three days and not a word, not even that he received my email. If this is the kind of response I get just trying to get a quote for work, I hate to guess what would happen if I accepted a bid. I was willing to give him a second chance, but this is not acceptable.
Update: Dustin sent me a quote which took about a week due to him being sick. The quote was nice and then I asked to have him come to my house so my wife and I could meet him as I won't hire anyone sight unseen. The day of the appointment, instead of calling me on my cell he sent an email that my wife just happened to see stating he was going to be late. I had to call him. We have a tight schedule to begin with, but I was happy that he was nice enough to make contact. We had to reschedule to which he agreed to a few days after- Friday at 4 PM.
Friday came and Dustin was a no call, no email, no show. No more excuses. Done with you.

Jerry has done all of the electrical work at my last three homes. He's straight forward and always tells me when we should do what I want. Then helps me figure out how to get what I need, but do it right. I feel comfortable knowing that when he's done, the work is right, safe and at a fair price. I have never had issues with his work an he has corrected a lot of things other electricians have done wrong. I highly recommend him.

Because 1 star is the lowest I can select. I'd prefer to give 0 stars: one for each minute of the day this company spent doing the service they committed to, since they didn't show up. If it's the middle of an almost 100 degree week and your AC goes out, don't waste your time waiting on this company! I made an appointment and when I didn't get a confirmation, I called the company myself to confirm that they would be arriving (this was 30 minutes before the end of my 2-hour time slot). My information was taken and I was told that I would be called back shortly. I waited another almost 2 hours and never received a call and a technician never showed up. I'd much much rather be told that a company doesn't have time than have them waste my time. I could have been working on getting someone else to the house and not wasted a whole day.

Courtesy Electric was contracted to install the electrical system in our home when it was built in 2011. Through the year of post-delivery home warrantee, Courtesy Electric was brought back out to resolve electrical issues with the home by the home builder. After that warrantee time expired, though, they apparently have ceased all support for any home outside of warrantee, although they won't tell you that until after they have promised to return calls and don't, after you finally get them to commit to sending out an electrician and then they don't show up, and after you call yet again to question why no one showed up for their appointment. Don't bother calling Courtesy Electric for an electrician - they won't show up.

We had a very difficult time with Azteca Electrical. We paid him in full and his receipt
said the work was up to code. Unfortunately, the arc fault breakers did not pass. He refused to come up and fix them. We had to pay another electrician $800.00 just in parts for a subpanel box and for breakers to fix the issue. It took them 1 1/2 days to fix the arc fault box and prevent tripping in the house. If you use this electrician be aware that he doesn't fix his code violations and I would withhold the final check until it passes inspection. Be careful and understand what you are getting into with him. He will give you a cheap price, but you'll end up paying someone else to finish it for him.
There is another electrician that we used named Galaxie Electric that was really good and honest. He is a hard working guy named Chad out of the Denver Metro area. I give him 5 stars. He is honest and is outstanding as an electrician. It is easier to work with an honest person like Chad who really cares about your house and the quality of the work done. Avoid headaches and hire someone that will help you out at a reasonable price. I was really impressed with Galaxie!
