Settle Muter Electric

First off let me say you get what you pay for and the lowest price isn't always the best. I recently installed a whole house standby generator and contracted settle muter electric representing Kohler for this job. I had 3 companies in for interviews & estimates including GE, Generac and settle muter. I did background checks on all including the attorney generals website and the better business bearau of central oh, settle muter was by far the most expensive however they also had an A+ rating & the only company with no issues or customer service problems associated with them. There is nothing more irritating to me than a salesperson who quotes a price but cannot give details on the installation process or the difference in the products offered which is what I received while interviewing both GE & Generac, furthermore most of my questions were pushed aside or ignored, as long as we make the sale what do we care how the install is done was the feeling I got. Mike Hyde the service manager & Jason Gilmer the installer from settle muter arrived together. Jason gave me several installations options available for my residence including the materials being used in each process & why and Mike Hyde quoted pricing for each process face to face in person, there was no rush, no pressure and they assured my complete satisfaction. In today's world most company's and young people are cutting corners and taking no pride in their workmanship. Jason Gilmer, although a young man by my standards conducted himself in a completely professional manner, the products and materials used were as promised and the quality of his work was first rate from start to finish, furthermore mike Hyde phoned me every day to ensure my satisfaction. After completion I was given a full demonstration & follow up calls to ensure no issues were abound. Several inspections had to be made for the generator to be approved, you know a quality product & service installation has been made when the city, gas & electric companies give glowing reviews of the product & process. Although I paid significantly more using this company I will recommend them to anyone looking for this service, remember you get what you pay for, do it right the first time

I am responding to Jeremy S.'s review (FYI: his firm is based out of New York) the 1st part of this review is correct we did accept a contract to re-lamp approximately 7,400 fixtures from incandescent to LED that means changing the light bulbs and we also change some ballast at department store here in Columbus Ohio. The issue arouse when we were completely done & we submitted our final invoice, then all of a sudden, there were all kinds of major issues like some of the screws weren't tightened down all the way & a bulb was burnt out & and a screw was missing on a cover & so on & so on... His firm came up with the most ridiculous and creative excuses we've ever run across to STEAL our money! Our Attorney advised us based upon the amount it wouldn't be worth the cost to Sue his firm, and Jeremy S. knew it.

GWE is a small company and $11,584.23 is a crazy amount of money to us, however this Jeremy S. wasn't about to pay us, just because he could get away with it. Criminals are criminals...

It took us months to recover but we did and we moved on, obviously he felt he needed to post this ridiculous review. Hey Jeremy a Lie is still a Lie no matter when you say it, was your conscience getting to you? I challenge you to validate any of your Lies, claims and or comments, because I still have all the paperwork including pictures and I am more then willing to back up every single one of mine, especially in court if you would prefer.

This guy is a joke!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! We had him run whiting for a ceiling fan and put the box in place for us to put the fan up at a later date and also run the wiring to an existing box for the light switch and he tore the hell out of the wall all around the box to the point that it broke the drywall above and below the box and all he said was...oh just buy an extra large switch cover and that will cover it. Ummm no it won't! It is way to bad for that!! At that point I was OVER arguing with him to do things the way I wanted it done and him tearing up my house. We ended up having to go back up in the attic and had to adjust the box as he had it way to far up for us to be able to hang the ceiling fan and will have to hire someone to come fix my wall by the switch. AGAIN... don't ever use this guy!!!
