Best Electricians in United States

We lost power to most of our house, including the refrigerator and AC, around 10 o'clock on a Saturday night. It was 85 degrees then and predicted to exceed 100 the next day. Needless to say, I started looking for electricians early Sunday morning. Most electricians in Austin are closed on Sundays, and several of them that advertise 24/7 emergency service were either unavailable to come until Monday or Tuesday or simply never called back. Then I called Shipley Electric which had good reviews on Yelp. The owner, Bert Shipley, returned my call within 10 minutes and came out himself even though it was a Sunday. He quickly found the source of the problem; found a replacement circuit breaker that would fit into our 40+ year-old electrical panel (the original manufacturer had gone out of business); and then made arrangements to pick up the part from the owner of an electrical supply house that is closed on weekends. He had everything back to normal within about an hour and a half. We didn't lose any of the  food in our fridge/freezer thanks to him. He was very professional and courteous and did not recommend making unnecessary repairs, such as replacing the entire electrical panel. We highly recommend him.

What to say about Cal? He is honest, really good at his job and fair priced. He shows up when he is suppose to, shoots straight, charges a fair rate and has tons of experience. He knows what he is doing and does it with a smile. He just retired from being in charge (not meant as an electrical pun) of rebuilding and maintaining the electrical systems at the governors mansion. Give him a shot, you'll be glad, nothing he does will shock you! (grin)

Great customer service!  Clint was very professional, courteous and clean cut. He knew exactly what to do, how long it would  take,  and cleaned up any mess made during the project. I will definitely use Hahn Electric again and highly recommend them.

I used Jim Lockhart of Raw Electric to install 3 canned lights in our great room and he did a phenomenal job. He listened to what we needed but also made suggestions based on his knowledge and experience. He was thorough and went through measurements. He used plastic sheets and tarps to ensure his work area had protection from all the sheetrock and blow insulation dust. We are very happy with the quality of his work, his professionalism, and pricing is reasonable. We highly recommend him and will use him again for future electrical jobs.

Dallas showed up on time and was great to work with.  He walked into a cluster with moving in progress, etc and a change in scope.  I'm sure he was super annoyed, but he remained polite and respectful.  He was very knowledgeable and took care with a very special antique chandelier.  I will definitely work with him again!

Can't say enough good things about Jason and CW Electrical Services!   Jason gave a great estimate and did a fantastic job hanging 2 new lights (replacing canned lights).  He had enough time left from the original estimate to install 3 dimmers too.   Highly recommend:  CW Electrical:  512-912-6517    He was also almost 1/2 several other estimates.

My entire breaker panel needed replacing. Andrew and Chris retuned my call on a Saturday morning and it took them the entire day to swap out a new one. He was very professional and clearly experienced.  I have an old east side bungalow, so they had to untangle lots of years of incorrect wiring. The entire thing looks great and I feel safe using all appliances now. They will now be my go-to for electrical work.

I am so lucky to find Robert from Yelp. I was taking some risks to hire Northwest Electric because there was no any review before. He was helping me to complete all electric works of my addiction. I am so satisfied with Robert and his staff's works that I think I need to let other people know. Robert is very professional, knowledgeable and willing to find the best solution for me. Also the price is very affordable. His staff is friendly, working hard, keeping clean for me. Definitely I am going to recommend Northwest Electric to all my friends.

My experience with Wilkins Electric was great.  These are guys who really know what they are doing. they showed up on time, and they fixed all our busted outlets and tested our circuit breaker to see if there were any faulty circuits..  They were friendly and they took time to explain what was going on with the circuitry in our new home.  They said they have been in business for almost 40 years, that says a lot about these guys.  You cant keep a business running that long if you're doing a bad job.  I highly recommend These guys.

Wieco electric is top notch!  If you have any electrical needs for your home or business, you must call Wieco electric!  These guys were awesome and in stalled all of our requested needs in a reasonable amount of time and with utmost professionalism.  The work they did was clean and very meticulous.  They were on time and completed the work in less time than expected.  Greg, you are awesome and very knowledgeable.  We will definitely be referring you to all of our friends in Law Enforcement!

We need some work done at our business. Steve was recommended by our long-time air conditioning contractor. We were initially really happy to be working with him because he was highly recommended and because he showed up right away to look over the job when we called.

We were promised an estimate shortly. Waited two weeks, left a message on 11/16. Waited another week, left a message on 11/24. No call return and no estimate.

I expected at least a phone call saying that he decided not to bid the job. I did not expect to be blown off. Not good business practice, I think.

I hate to break up the love-fest for Joey but our experience with him was not good.  He may be an excellent electrician but we will never know.  My wife called on Tuesday and he agreed to come out on Thursday after lunch.  

Here is the frustrating part and why he gets 1 star.  I took the afternoon off from work to meet with him at our house.  When he actually called us that afternoon he was calling to tell us that he wasn't going to make it to our house but could fit us in next week. REALLY?  You are going to call us when you should actually already be at our house and tell us you're not coming but still want the job a week later?  

NO THANKS.  If you make an appt. with someone you do everything you can to keep it.  If something comes up and you know there is an issue (which he did admittedly) you call as quickly as possible so that the client can make other plans.  In my case, not burn half a day of vacation.  I'm typically one of the first people to recommend someone if they go out of their way or do a bang-up job but if a business is inconsiderate or wastes my time I feel it is my obligation to warn others...

I hired Joel Dellinger to replace the carpet upstairs in my home with laminate. I paid him $2,000 up front and was to pay the balance of 1800 when he finished the job. He started the work and never finished the project. He would call and state he would be here the next day at 9:30, that next day never did arrive. I had to hire a separate contractor to finish the job Joel never finished. Don't ever hire this liar.
