I was a homeowner with a problem. A skunk had burrowed under the concrete slab of our home and left a big hole. After calling multiple area foundation specialists and pumping companies, I finally found Scott at Action Pumping.

Every other company blew me off. It was either too small a job or they wanted to charge an arm-and-a-leg. One company even wanted me to rent (and work) the pump! Scott actually took the time to talk with me - assumed I knew nothing about concrete pumping (which I don't!) and walked me through the entire process. Both Scott and the concrete showed up on time and without incident.

Action Pumping sold me on their customer experience and Scott's personal touch. They weren't the cheapest nor were they the most expensive...but even if they were, the customer experience would be worth every cent.

Joey did an EXCELLENT job resurfacing our driveway!!! The oil stains are gone and It looks even better than brand new!! We also had Joey redo our garage floor and it is absolutely beautiful, our home is over 40 years old and the garage floor was old, worn and cracked now it is honestly stunning. My husband and I highly recommend Joey for any concrete work that needs to be done. We had our covered patio extended by Brooks Built and it was an absolute pleasure to work with them. They were very upfront on costs and process of the entire project and they delivered with exactly as expected. They provided great communication throughout the process with picture updates, texts, emails... really not certain they could have done any better in any of the aspects. They cleaned up after themselves which was important to me, not to mention the most important part the extended patio project... the patio looks great and looks as though it was there from the beginning of the home being built. Sean was amazing to work with from start to finish, and our front and back yards both turned out beautifully.  I can't recommend them highly enough.  The designs were fantastic, Sean was super communicative, the crew was skilled and professional, and they followed through until everything was just the way we wanted it.  Thanks for the epic yard!!!

Median's did an outstanding job on our backyard project. Not only are they kind and compassionate to work with, but they went above and beyond to get the job done within one day, which was not an easy task! Everything worked out great.  The floor looks great and they did do it very fast.  If I am critical of anything, is that there communication could be better.  I had to call late afternoon before they were to arrive to see what time they were arriving and what had to be done.  I received a call around 6:30pm informing that the garage had to be cleared out and that they would arrive at 6am.  That did not work for me as my daughter sleeps right above the garage and there is a no work ordinance before 6:30am.  He gladly rescheduled me to later in the day.  I expressed my concern with late communication and he apologized.  In the big picture, the product and service was done very well and as advertised.

Gave me a fair estimate and scheduled sevice two days later. Again showed up right on time. Very kind and professional, worked quickly and got the job done.

This is my first time hiring a landscaping Company, and I'm very appreciative that it was so easy with Geronimo, especially as so many other Companies are not quick to respond to requests to quote and/or do not show up on time.

These guys are awesome!  The company they run is so innovative and very eco friendly.  I had some packaging foam that I never know what to do with and always hate just throwing it away to forever sit in a landfill.  I found Eco Building Systems online through homeforfoam.com.  I called ahead and they came out to help unload the foam.  I had interactions with three different employees and all three were so very positive and I could tell they enjoy what they do.  They take the foam and create high quality building materials out of it.  They are not able to use all foam so be sure to call ahead of time to explain what you have and schedule a drop off.  Thanks for what you do EBS!

Bait and switch
Called yesterday was quoted for 1/2 minus for %25.50/ton.
Called this morning to order and was told for 1/2 minus is
$36.50/ton.   An increase of almost $11/ton for 17 tons.  That
is $187 increase.  
They apologized for the misunderstanding.   What misunderstanding?
I verified the size yesterday.  They said yesterday, yes $25.50 for 1/2 minus.
They appear to be a bait and switch company.

Martin came out very quickly to do my quote and when I was able to decide on a design he was able to get my supplies quickly. Install was fast, he and his guys worked hard and the outcome was beautiful. I wanted a massive amount of pavers so I could have a gazebo and space for a dancing in front and I do. My backyard looks bigger now, definitely quality work. My dog also loves the grass, she immediately had to roll around in it.

Phillip's crew did a great job! Excellent work making my back yard look so much better! I've had it done for less, but the difference in their diligence is so worth it.

In summary, KENT ROCKS!  We have come to Kent for multiple projects in four different residences over the past three years. He has consistently exceeded our expectations. We have also referred Ken to at least a dozen of our friends--who have each reported back to us experiences that went well beyond their expectations.

What we specifically appreciate about Kent:

1) He is responsive--returning our e-mails and phone calls in a timely manner.

2) He is a good listener--making a concerted effort to listen to what we aim to do, and why we want to do it...but (and this is important) being sure to interject, when appropriate, with his experienced and professional opinion. On a number of occasions, what we had first asked of Ken turned out not to be the best way to address the situation at hand. Kent opened our minds to a more efficient and/or a less expensive approach, or even a different solution entirely that we would have never considered.

3) His estimates are spot-on. We have never been surprised. Kent presents us with and explains options for labor and materials so that we can make an informed selection of the level of each that best fits our budget for the project. We really appreciate the fact that he has been willing to provide estimates and assist us with both very small, hourly projects, as well as large, long-term projects.

4) He and any contractors he brings into our residences have been on-time, courteous, conscientious, and CLEAN! Even during a very significant dusty, dirty kitchen demolition, Kent and his team took great care to clean-up as best as possible at the end of each day, and to seal-off the work area with plastic so that dust and debris wouldn't migrate into other parts of the home.

5) We trust him. There have been plenty of times when Kent has guided us to a less expensive approach to completing a task.  We can also trust that when he says that we need to consider a more complicated or more expensive approach, that it is truly in our best interest to take his advice. We trust Kent's work to the point that we are comfortable arranging for him to work in our own home, and in our tenants' homes, while we are traveling out-of-town--knowing that we will return home to find the work done properly, on-time, and within budget...and that we will have interacted with our tenants with the highest degree of courtesy and conscientiousness.

We had a great experience with Herb. He promptly came by for an estimate and then scheduled my deck cleaning 2 days later. He power washed +2000 sq ft of marble decking and our side yard slab. When I asked about our front pavers, he said they were fine and didn't need a cleaning. The deck has ever looked better. He's careful, meticulous and takes the time to do the job right. He's also fairly priced. We'd work with him again without hesitation.

I thought they did a fine job cleaning our yard. Considering that I was working on the house and had tools and materials around. They always returned my calls in a timely manner. I will definitely call them again.

A terrible experience. I will never go back for any reason.
What I needed was a socket change-out in two new lamps. The guy behind the counter was very unpleasant about what I wanted but I decided to leave them because another guy (who obviously does the work) said he could do it. They told me one to two weeks and gave me and estimate with a high and low number (shoulda been a sign).
After hearing nothing for two weeks I called them and spoke with a very rude woman who indicated that they were too busy to get the work done and that it would be another week. They were finally ready after the 3rd week and the price I paid was absolutely outrageous. No sense in trying to negotiate because both individals behind the counter were so busy being rude to other customers. I don't understand why they are still in business.
I don't like to speak ill of small independently owned businesses and am not a difficult person to satisfy but my experience with Phoenix Lamps was awful.
