I spoke too soon on my first review below.  The current 1 star review is based solely on their heating and air conditioning side of the business. Steve came out to inspect my furnace and a/c unit while I was in escrow to buy the house. He proclaimed them to be in good shape and only in need of some freon gas.  He did not provide me a written report or I would have sued the company. My oversight in not getting it in writing. Based upon Steve's assessment I approved my inspection of the property and closed escrow. Here comes the reason for the 1 star rating.  I had to call SDG& E to turn on the gas and light pilot lights after the house was tented for termites. The SDG&E employee determined in less than 2 minutes that the furnace was a safety risk and condemned it due to a cracked fire box. I now need to completely replace the furnace. If Padilla's had done a proper professional job I would have been able to have the seller replace the furnace before the close of escrow. Parting words of advise - (1) Always get it in writing, and (2) Don't call John Padilla's Plumbing, Heating and Air.

My water heater sprung a leak last Saturday.  Spent wknd researching big box stores and other popular plumbing companies.  Wasted a lot of time doing that.  Those estimates were double, even triple the price.  
Based on a recommendation, I went with Dimitar at Maxx Water Heater Service.  Very upstanding, professional Technician.  He quoted me a fair price to remove, replace and haul away my old unit.  In addition, I asked if he could replace my water pressure regulator.  He did that and charged a reduced labor rate.  Can't say enough good things about Dimitar and his company!  Highly recommend!

Henry's Plumbing is great.  I called on a Sunday morning (early) because a sink had backed up.  He responded within 10 minutes and quickly fixed the problem.  He explained everything he did and charged a very fair price.  I'll never go to any other plumber.  I highly recommend him.

Like everyone else here, totally agree that Carlos is the best.  Came pretty late at night to help jet our clogged sewer line.  A great worker, who knows his stuff, and a great guy as well.  Communicates exactly what's going on and what the problem is, how to fix it and how to prevent it.
Don't get me wrong, I don't ever want to deal with sewer issues and the S*#$ that comes with it, but if I do he's the first and only person I'll be dealing with.

Not a good decision to have this company to install new water softener . Sale rep talked really good about a system that save water and salt . We paid cash for it and 3 weeks later , salt in the tank down to 2/3 of a tank . Installation guy name Tom would not even greet you. After install the system. I sure ask him Did you set the system? He said Yes, It was done at the factory . Call them to ask what is going on with the system . Appointment set  from 12 to 3, I stay home to wait for them, they call to cancel the appointment !! I have never seen a company to cancel the customer !! Well Tom come again and did not know what to do. He called the office and set it up . Not even say Sorry we messed up . I call them back and want another tech to come to verify his works and fill up the missing salt. They call back today and to inform me that they r not coming at all and your system work fine . They do not even  deserve a star . Hope my 2850 dollars last

I have used Mike for plumbing repairs for at least 15 years.  He has installed several faucets, shower heads, a toilet, unclogged sinks, and the list goes on.  He is always prompt and has a wonderful personality.  By the way, he is fair and honest and reasonable.  You can't go wrong with Mike!

As a new home owner, I was nervous about calling a plumber for the first time. I was very blessed to have found Cobra through a friend and I am incredibly glad I did. Bob was a true professional and veteran. He not only cleared 2 of my drains for me for an incredibly reasonable charge, he also gave me tons of advice to maintain my drains and keep repair costs low. I need some repairs inside the walls and gave me some references to more amazing companies. I am incredibly grateful for Bob and his expertise.

Long Over Due Review. In 2017 Johnathan had done some work on a pressure regulator and we were in the process of finding a plumber to bid out on a bathroom gut/remodel.  Not only was his pricing fair in comparison to other plumbers he recommended a great craftsman to help with the rest of the remodel.  Johnathan was a straight shooter and also educated us on the differences between high quality plumbing fixtures that would outlive us and cheap ones that would need more repair in the future.  This knowledge made us really understand that know one really thinks about what is behind the walls until there is a problem.  He plain and simply puts his rep on the line when he does the work and does not want to have to return so he simply just does amazing work on little or big jobs.  Your plumbing needs will be done with the same quality of work. It has been over four years and we have had ZERO problems with anything he has done in our home.

Contacted another (not VIP) plumber to diagnose slow toilet issue. He snaked a main line and toilet. Told me line needed jetting and charged me $195. A lot to snake a line!  I hired VIP to jet the line and after videoing the line he told me the main line was clear and recommended against jetting it - and charged me $79 - a very low fee to camera the line and tell me to not waste my money. When I returned from vacation, I pulled the toilet and found roots growing from the slab area into the line. I pulled them out and it now passes waste like shit through a goose. VIP was an HONEST hire and ADVISED ME CORRECTLY. ID HIRE THEM IN A MINUTE!!

These guys are great. They took their time and did good, professional looking work. After installing a new toilet for me, the flooring was seemless as if it came with the house. I will use them again.

Have used Top-Notch for several plumbing needs and had great experiences each time. Excellent work, friendly service, and great pricing.

I really liked the plumber that came out. He was really professional and they were able to schedule the same day (within a few hours). They provided a two hour window and they arrived as promised. The plumber that came out asked a few questions to figure out the issue, looked for a place to snake the drain. He ended up accessing the drain from the roof and when he was done he explained what he did. He said the snake hit something about the 75 foot mark and then cleared it out. He confirmed the issue was fixed and asked me to run the shower for five minutes to make sure the clog was gone. Only reason the company did not get 5 stars is because I asked for a price estimate before the work was done and did not get one until it was finished and it was about $150 more than expected. Still a great job and I am glad I did not need to do it. Very professional and I still recommend them highly. I will use them again, but next time insist on a price estimate first.

Update: I changed the review to 5 stars. I appreciate the follow-up from the business and that they took ownership of the issue.

James Athens came by to service some plumbing issues and did a great job assessing the issue and fixing it swiftly.  100% would recommend.

Daniel has been our plumber for five (5) years now and we consider him to by our primary plumber. very reliable, fair, friendly and especially knowledgeable in his profession as a plumber. He has worked on plumbing in our previous condo and replaced our water heater at a very reasonable price. Daniel is currently helping us with our plumping in our new home as we are currently renovating our kitchen and bathrooms. I highly recommend!!!

Prince Charmin came to my rescue on Jan. 1, 2023. We had a sewage issue in our home just after midnight on New Year's day. Devin was the only person who was available on New Year's day with a very fair price on a holiday weekend. He arrived to my home the same day just a couple of hours after we spoke on the phone. He and his crew arrived earlier than expected which was awesome. He even had the foresight to contact a water damage restoration company on our behalf to be present as well after hearing that  sewage had flowed out of the bathroom into the adoining room. Calling a water restoration company was not even something I had even begun to consider with everything else that was going on at home. I greatly appreciate everything Devin and his crew did to get our home up and running again. Thank you!!

I have had nothing but bad plumbers for years and I finally looked at yelp and called KC at Monty's Plumbing.  He diagnosed my problem correctly over the phone, came out and looked at it and told me I needed a new part.  Helped me order it over the phone and then told me he wouldn't charge me for this visit.  He came back as soon as the part came in and installed it perfectly but the amazing thing is that he cleaned up and put all the supplies back underneath my sink after he finished the job!!!  His charges were fair and he works quickly and honestly. He gets back to you quickly when you call to make an appointment.  You will not be disappointed if you call Monty's for your next plumbing job. I am sold!!!

Had a toilet leak last Saturday got a few quotes here on Yelp this was the only company that would come same day and didn't charge me for a weekend rate. Their quote was inline with the others. Plumber came on time and did the job quickly. Overall great service.
