We had a main line back up, we discovered at night. They came out within the hour and were able to get us going again. Then came back out the day after and replaced a portion of the line. Efficient and friendly.

I had a large crack in my undermount clay kitchen sink. It's been there for a year and I really wanted to replace the sink. However. The sink was custom installed by the previous owners, and it was going to be a very challenging removal and install. I was concerned that it could be a messy job.
Darell responded to my Yelp request.

I'm really torn.  I've had great experiences with Ideal in the past for plumbing and HVAC.  Really good service.  But, I had an electrical problem before Christmas, and I had a really bad experience, and the follow-up afterwards prompted me to write this.

I had to turn off my power, and when I turned everything back on, I didn't have power in my kitchen.  We called Ideal, and they said they couldn't get to us until after New Year's, unless we were willing to pay overtime wages.  The stove was out, so we didn't have a choice - I said yes.  Christmas dinner had to be cooked.  

The guy showed up on time, went through my breaker box, checked some things, and had us tear apart the kitchen, including moving the stove and fridge, which meant emptying everything into coolers, and removing the freezer door.  Not easy.  He was unable to find the problem, and left, saying the office would call the next day to schedule his return with a helper.  I wasn't thrilled, but I'm not an electrician - I relied on the professional I was paying. (I ended up having to hire someone to help me get the fridge back in place.)

So, the next day came, and no call from Ideal.  I decided to have a General Contractor with whom I've worked before come look at the problem, because I could not understand how this could not be some kind of simple thing that me, as an amateur, overlooked, and I hadn't even had a response from Ideal.  Three days later, still no call from Ideal, but my contractor showed up as promised.

My contractor arrived, and two minutes later, my problem was solved.  It was something simple.  Simple enough that I felt foolish for not figuring it out myself.  Simple enough that there is absolutely no reason a professional electrical service technician could not have had it figured out quickly.

10 days after my service visit, Ideal called us back, trying to schedule.  We expressed our displeasure with the service, and explained how we've always been very happy with them, and had recommended them to friends several times.  It is when speaking with a manager that I decided I had to write this review.  It turns out that the technician who came to our house was their LEAD GUY for electrical work.  My wife and I were incredulous.  Really?  This was your lead guy?  We were repeatedly told that yes, the guy who came out was the lead electrical guy.  Unbelievable.  Don't get me wrong, he was a nice guy.  Pleasant and respectful, and I think he felt badly about having us tear apart the kitchen and the fridge, but he was just not capable.  

There is no way possible that the man who was sent to my home was qualified to work on electrical systems.  This was a VERY simple thing, that should have been readily evident to a professional with even a minimum of experience.  I can't imagine what I would have ended up paying them at $204/hour (for one man), with two of them crawling under my house and through my attic, tying to hunt down a fault that didn't exist.  

I just can't, in good conscience, recommend this company, anymore, at least not for electrical work.  Frankly, the whole experience makes me question the integrity of the company as a whole.

Carlos responded right away, was friendly, polite, genuine, and gave me advice on how to prevent the problem from happening again, and gave me a descent price. He's the best!

I had a drain clog issue that a different company was not able to solve, it was urgent for me to fix ASAP, we called PIC and they sent a polite gentleman named Tony out within an hour. Tony fixed the drain clog issue in under 20 minutes, their responsiveness, professionalism, and speed late on a Saturday night is unmatched (when every other San Diego company we called said that it was too late to help). 10/10 would use PIC again, 10/10 would request Tony if we ever have drain clog issues again.

After noticing my water bill was $147 more than the previous bill at my investment property, I had contacted Cody from true value plumbing to locate the leak causing this huge increase on my bill! He was able to find the cause behind my master bathroom shower, he suggested a new shower valve as the permanent solution.

I had gotten other quotes from 2 other companies before I had decided to proceed with Cody.
Ars rescue rooter quoted me $12,000!! To demo my entire shower to get access to replace the valve, & ASI came in around $2897 to replace just the valve.

Long story short True value plumbings quote was substantially lower than both of the other quotes. & he was able to replace the valve without demo & replaced the entire trim!

Our new fridge was slightly too tall because of the electrical housing on the top front of the fridge, which we missed when measuring the space.  We had a big dilemma because we really loved the fridge and couldn't really find another that was comparable.  So it was either settle for something we didn't like as much or figure out a way to alter the kitchen cabinet to raise it by 3/4 inch.

We went with the second option.  After calling a few places, I came across Alejandro and asked if he could help with my project.  He was very quick to respond and told me he'd come by the following morning to assess the situation.  He was punctual and very knowledgeable, going through different scenarios of how we could get the job done without creating too much work and still yielding the best result.  

It was really fun to watch and help where I could.  I ended up learning a lot from Alejandro.  

If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy handyman with a great personality, Alejandro is your guy.  His prices are reasonable and you won't be disappointed with the result.  10/10 would ask for his help again on our next project!

We have used Bill Howe for several of our plumbing needs, and we will continue to do so in the future.  Brian Casillas just replaced two pop up drains in my master bath.   He called before arriving, was courteous ( put shoe covers on) , did a great job and left without making a mess!  I highly recommend Bill Howe Plumbing !

I had an outdoor water softener installed by these guys and I am very satisfied with the work. They are upfront and honest about what to expect and don't try to upsell you. I received several quotes and theirs was quite competitive and with quality products.
But most of all, I am quite impressed with their responsiveness. They will respond to emails and phone calls very promptly and jump on an issue immediately. I had an issue with the system and within an hour, they were ringing my doorbell and immediately fixed the issue. Everything has been running smoothly ever since.

Randy was very polite when I called to schedule an appointment to look at a leak showing up in my garage ceiling.  He was able to get a tech to my home the next day, first thing in the morning.

Such a professional and friendly company! I was very frustrated after being flaked on a couple times by other companies, so when I found San Diego Backflow Testing I was very satisfied. They were super professional and very fast to respond and get the job done! Jen got back to me right away when I called and when Adam showed up he was a nice guy, really knew what he was doing, and took care of my needs from start to finish. I was so relieved to finally get this level of service and not have to wait to get a call back!

I called in for an appointment and I got a live person on the first call. The appointment was prompt and my technician came within the promised window.
Chris Desarno showed up in a clean uniform, neat appearance, polite, focused and got right to work helping to diagnose our problem. By process of elimination we ruled out nearly all of the common sources for our ground seepage problem. Chris did a video inspection and it turned out that our drain system was intact and clean.
Even though we didn't solve the problem, I got an education in pipes and leakage. We ended up needing an irrigation engineer to diagnose the problem but when I needed help CPL came out ASAP.
I highly recommend this company and hope you are lucky enough to work with Chris when you call.
