Hi, my name is Ken and I am the Senior Vice President  for Rayne Water Conditioning. I am absolutely committed to delivering the best customer service, the most reliable products and the highest quality water to all our San Diego Residential and Commercial Customers.

My family has enjoyed Rayne Water filtration in our home for over 10 years, as well as we have installed a unit at our place of business.
If you live in La Mesa, then you know how the tap water tastes about mid summer...
our Rayne Water unit removes all the pond water taste as well as the strong chemical tastes we often get. When my daughter got married and moved to their own place, she too installed a unit in her home.

Last summer we went without filtration during our kitchen remodel. We even purchased a new fridge in the process that claimed incredible water filtration. So, we had originally considered canceling our rental on the water cooling unit in our newly remodeled kitchen.
Everyone in the family noticed the effects of constant dehydration simply because we were no longer enjoying the taste of the water.

We have been lucky to have Drayton come out to our house the couple of times we have needed assistance. He works hard and efficiently and we are always completely satisfied with his solutions. He was careful to put the unit where it would not only fit the flow of the new kitchen but was able to tuck and hide every water line as if we had installed it permanently.

You will not be disappointed in reaching out to this company. They are friendly, prompt and don't make you feel unsafe.
Not to mention, your tap water will not only be drinkable, but your friends will probably want to fill their hydro flasks up at your house.

It was time to change the RO system that is managed by Rayne. Latif arrived, he was very polite and as well, knowledgeable.  He checked the water parameters and changed the filters.

Update (relevant for monthly payment customers only): I received my first invoice from Rayne and found out there is no online payment option for monthly customers. This may not be as big of a deal to some, but to have to write and send a check every single month seems quite archaic to me.

When I tried calling to ask whether there was an online option, I called three days in a row at varying times during business hours, and my call was never answered. I left a voicemail on the third day, and my call was finally returned.

Rayne does have a monthly auto-pay option, but a physical form needs to filled out/signed and either mailed or scanned back to them. In emailing back this form, I also experienced a delay in response time.

Service has continued to be reliable, but having to go through this hassle to make a simple $44/month bill payment is wild to me.

Please implement an online billing system, Rayne!

Company had our water cooler serviced  today.
Drayton came in and was professional, efficient, and nice!
He changed out our filter and otherwise made sure it was functioning well and clean.
Considering  I use this cooler daily, I greatly appreciate knowing it is working properly!

Sean was great. He was patient respectful and helped me make the best choice gif my need. I'm enjoying my RO water everyday. I cook with it and drink it-- no more carrying heavy water in toxic plastic bottles. The operator that came to install it was great too. I have a small cabinet under my sink and he was able to fit everything so well that i dud for lose the space I needed for my other items and all of this at a much more reasonable price than other water companies. Great Company to work with.  I have had them handle my water filtration system for years.  It had been awhile, and my system was due for a check and possible new filter.  Drayton arrived and was very friendly, polite and respectful of the work area. He updated me along the way and the price I was quoted over the phone was what I was charged.  It is hard to find service people who care and take pride in their job, but you can tell, Drayton likes his job!

Drayton was very helpful and knowledable while replacaing my RO filters he also took the time to remove old plumbing fittings from an old water softening system I havent used in several years which was very kind .
I love having this service and highly recommend it instead of lugging stupid heavy  plastic water bottles every where cluttering up the environment that is just so yesterday !  It is worth the monthly fee and of course the water tastes better.

The RO unit we had owned for more than ten years finally had to be replaced.  I called Rayne Water and Latif came out to install our new unit.  He was on-time, pleasant and efficient.  Made special effort to be neat and tidy, which I appreciate, even though the unit is in our garage.  Thanks to Latif and Rayne Water Conditioning we have sweet water again, with a new tank, etc.  Well done, Latif!

I've been with Rayne water for almost 3 years and I used to always change the potassium in my water softener myself but because of back issues I decided to just have Rayne handle that for me, they send a technician name Drayton to handle it for me and he did a great job and was very helpful and answered all my questions. Have very hard water in my home and contacted Rayne Water to get some quotes. The area supervisor Dave came over the following day after making an appointment.

Dave wasn't into pressure sells and gave me many options to choose from. After agreeing on the price and installation date we scheduled the water softening service and Latif came out on Wednesday (today) and installed it in less than an hour. Did very clean work and explained how to use it.

Everything went as smooth as butter and I wished I had gone to them sooner after dealing with so many other local companies and getting quotes that were all over the spectrum. Most were out to make big commission and not caring about individual needs.

Our Rayne system was running non-stop. I called them and Allison talked me through the bypass process. She efficiently scheduled a service appointment. Today service tech Tom Callaway examined the system. Nothing was broken, and he checked the programming as well as the optical sensor. Not only did he explain everything to me, he also taught me how to use the programming for future use. Allison and Tom represent this company so well!

We just got our service installed.  The installation technician, Joe Tridle, was punctual, friendly, and thorough.  He was faced with a bigger job than expected because the initial sales representative did not visualize our setup in person but only virtually, but completed it without complaints.  He did nice work and the system seems to be working smoothly.  The sales representative Donnie Echols was really responsive and helpful as well, although him not seeing my home did lead to almost having to postpone my installation had Joe not been willing to remove hardware from the wall and move things around.  Hopefully the system will work well without issues.

There's a reason sales people have a bad rap - it's because all they care about is a sale. Greed!

Thank goodness for genuine human beings such as ADAM! Upon coming to install our water softening unit, he advised me that what the sales team sold me on was NOT NECESSARY and in fact, it would have damaged our septic system!

Adam had an extremely quick solution that would work best for our situation and our family. Major props to this guy who's looking out for the well being of his customer rather than his bank account.

What a stud. I appreciate you, Adam!

Cannot recommend Rayne water less!!
I had a past due payment with Rayne water, mostly because they refuse to live in the 21st century and actually email customers that they need to pay and only used paper mail which I don't even check or use. I have had my payments lapse with them in the past and still paid with all of the associated late fees. However, after a couple of months of a missed payment, instead of Rayne water sending me a warning letter or email, as they are obligated by law, that continued non-payment would result in my account being sent off to collections, they just did so without warning me. This included the cost of the equipment that I was renting which amounted to a total of just over $1K. My attempts to contact them and resolve this and bring to their attention that they submitted my debt to collections without following proper due process, went unanswered. Finally getting a new office manager (jessica) on the phone where she was not only impatient and unsympathetic to my complaint, but did not offer any proof that they gave me proper warning, and eventually hung up on me, showed that Rayne water as a company isn't able to provide competent service and is actually not concerned with their client's satisfaction.
There are plenty of other companies that will rent out water filtration systems for an even better rate. Save yourself the headache even if its just to have the convenience of being able to make a payment online.

Had a great experience all around with our purchase and installation. Dave was friendly, helpful, and informative, and best of all, used a soft touch. We were turned off completely by two other companies because if their aggressive sales tactics.

The technicians that installed our system, Adam and Latif, were punctual and friendly, and did a great job.

So far, our system has been working great and we can definitely tell the difference!

Our sale rep Donnie was very professional and gave us the saltless
water conditioning that we wanted.
Great pricing for California.

Installation was great.
Both Adam and Drayton were super chill and very hard working.
The took the time to make sure the installation location was
were we wanted it, and asked other questions.
We had an old (not working) water pressure regulator under the
house crawlspace. Our plumber had installed one on the outside,
Adam cut the old one out and shortened the tube run for us.

Great sales/installation team and office support.

Would recommend to those that don't want lime scale all over
their pipes and fixtures. We have super hard water here in
San Diego.

I've been using Rayne Water for over 6 years now.  Their filters and service are great!  Whenever I notice a change in the taste of the water I just call them and they will send a technician within a week.  Drayton was our last technician and he changed the filters in less than 15 minutes.  I am very pleased with their service!

So far so great! We had the system for reverse osmosis installed yesterday by Adam who was so great! He walked into a pretty difficult set up since we wanted him to run the line to our fridge and freezer but there was such little room. He moved the unit, drilled, secured it all, and was so nice and knowledgeable. We loved talking to him and he explained everything. Purchased a system. About a year later called them to inquire how to reset the clock in the machine. They don't provide a manual. It's a simple question that could have been answered on the phone. They said they would send someone over. They never brought up it would be a technician not did they advise there was a charge. We assumed it was the sales guy that sold it to us. A guy showed up. Showed me how to turn a wheel to set the clock. Was there for no more than 2 minutes. A few weeks later I got a bill for $110. When I called to discuss they argued with me and hung up on me.

I needed to replace my water softener and wanted to go with a saltless conditioning system to save money and water.  Donnie spent more than an hour talking with me about systems I might like for my home, and even though he spent so much time with me, he didn't try to hard sell me. He also made it clear that the new system was not a water softener, and I appreciated his honestly about that. I did some research on different systems and got other estimates, and I liked the Rayne system and the price was great.  

Adam came out today and installed my system and he did excellent work.  He showed up on time, did a great job on the installation and cleaned up thoroughly after he was done.  He was also friendly, personable and professional.  I could tell that he cares about getting things right and doing a great job for the customer. I truly appreciate the terrific job Adam did.  Give him a raise!!

I just had a wonderful experience and want to a
share it with anyone who is interested. Adam Hill just installed a water conditioning system in our home. What a pleasure to do business with a man and company that is honest about their work and their charges. Adam was a true pleasure. He removed a system that was installed by Sherlock Plumbing. The Sherlock representative neglected to tell me that I would be charged $1100 every 6 months to replace 4 of the 6 filters in the system they installed. I went on Amazon and found the APEC filters for their system. Amazon would send them to me with no shipping charge for $29.35! Really? Be careful who you hire. When installing a water conditioning system call Rayne and ask for Adam Hill.

Our Rayne tech yesterday was ADAM.  He was on time, very courteous, professional and provided superior customer service.  We have a system that Rayne installed back in the 80's(?) when my parents saw their demo at the Del Mar fair(!).  

We have an account with them that provides us service calls from them whenever we need them for no additional charge, plus they come out whenever the filter needs changing at no additional charge.  

So, the water kinda started tasting off, and we called Rayne on Friday and they were here on Monday.  Love that.  They will come out for any little reason like that.  

The thing that impressed me about ADAM, was that he went BEYOND average.  He welcomed my questions and showed me what he was doing and explained the water quality testing he was doing so that I could understand it - and he was not bothered by the extra time it was taking.  He waited for the water quality to return (after flushing) to an acceptable PPM ratio before he left (but wanted to make sure we didn't have anymore questions too). He was genuinely interested in our satisfaction and demonstrated that he appreciated our business.  

The peace of mind we receive, along with better health  from drinking high quality RO water, AND the customer satisfaction we experience with Rayne and their professional and knowledgeable techs and office staff,  (never had a bad one), makes it worth the minimal expense we pay.  One less thing we have to think about.  Thanks Rayne!

After shopping around for a salt water conditioning system I decided to go through Rayne water as they were the most competitive in pricing. Dave the salesman came out the same day I called and inquired and was not pushy at all and answered all my questions. My tank took a little while to come in due to Covid shipping etc but they always kept me in the loop. The day of install, Adam my technician arrived promptly and walked me through everything. He was kind and courteous and very thorough with his work. He answered all our questions and we are very satisfied with our setup. Would definitely recommend Rayne to our family and friends.

We have had a water softener system in our whole house and a reverse osmosis under our sink. We did a major remodel and Adam was amazing today when he came to put back the reverse osmosis system. Apparently our Rayne water system was 20 years old. Who knew?! Our water pressure throughout the house was being effected and a plumber suggested it was our water conditioning system. We had only lived in our house for 5 years. The company sent someone that was more experienced with an older device. Joe T and Latif came to take a look at it. They were straight forward, no BS and very informative on what we needed to do to move forward. They bypassed the system so we could have water pressure back and we will be in touch to get our system replaced by Rayne. And we are enjoying the improved water pressure in our home.

Dave was the salesman that came to my house to give me an estimate on a water softener and charcoal filter. I ultimately decided on Rayne over other big name companies due to cost and customer service reputation. I was happy with the estimate I received. I have a 1 car garage that is tight with my mid sized SUZ, but I was happy to see it fit against the wall without obstructing by ability to continue peeking in my garage. Joe and Adam did my installation and they were great! Installation was fast and I was able to get all of my questions answered while they were there. This is our first experience with Rayne water.  Donnie Echols was our salesman who came to our home, clearly explained our options and has been readily available by phone, text or email to answer all of our subsequent questions.  We opted for a water softener and under-sink Reverse Osmosis system.

We concur with many of the positive comments reflected in these reviews.  Superb installation of the water softener and under-sink Reverse Osmosis system by  Joe Trindl was greatly appreciated.  He's a rare breed whose professional demeanor, commitment to excellence and great work ethic ensured a flawless installation from start to finish.   We are very pleased with Rayne's customer service, sales, products, and installation.  So far, the system performs as advertised.  Lots of wonderful soft water and plentiful great tasting RO water; perfect for filling water bottles and making great tasting coffee!

I had quotes from several reputable companies but what made Donnie's advice stand out was he noticed several things about our installation that others missed. We have two reverse osmosis systems that we bought over 5 years ago, and a whole house softener.   One RO unit developed a small leak, the auto leak sensor shut down the system just as it is supposed too.    They came out in two days, fixed the problem, changed out the canister that had become compromised.  Drayton was courteous, professional and fixed the problem promptly without getting any water on our wood floors.  Exceptional service.

Adam and Drayton came to our place to install a water softener, filter, and a RO. Both of them did an amazing job with minimal inconvenience to me and my wife. Adam planned his whole work in a way that the water shut-off was barely for 45 mins. Up front, Donnie ensured that everything was clearly understood by me and all my options (renting vs buying and the devices) were understood and which system would make most sense for my house size and number of people. Loved the whole experience and the taste of water running through my faucets now :)

I needed my Rayne water filtration system looked at last week.  I talked with Alison at the office and she scheduled an appointment for me. Tom came out and quickly diagnosed the problem and told me what needed to be done.  He arranged for the units to be picked up and taken in for repair.  Joe and Latif came out and picked up the two tanks and told me they would be ready in 2 days. I talked to Mark at the office and he explained what they had to do because one of the tanks was ruined. He was able to find a used tank at no charge to me and the 2 tanks were ready on time.  Adam and Camron came out and installed the tanks and programed the backwash cycles on them. Everything went smoothly and I was impressed with all the folks at Rayne. The cost was exactly what I was quoted when Tom diagnosed the problem. I would highly recommend Rayne for your water filtering needs.

Excellent company, quick to respond for initial service, was able to zoom meet with Don to view sink and where faucet would go. Very simple and was impressed with Don. Argentina called to confirm appointment and let me know when tech was on the way which was very beneficial, she was great. My technician/installer Drayton Rowe was excellent, very knowledgeable, and provided excellent customer service, clean up after himself well and made sure to provide some info on how the equipment works. Our Service Technician, Joe Tridle, installed the system; which was complicate, as our garage had been re-modeled years ago and is now a living space. Spoke with a couple companies and decided on Rayne. Dave did a good job laying out the options for us. We decided to rent for a couple months while we make sure the system is what we wanted and if we end up purchasing the rent will credit towards that. Good piece of mind in a significant purchase. Scheduling the install was quick. Adam and Mark installed the system. They were efficient and did a really clean job on the routing of the water connection, the drain and the electrical. Met Donnie at the Home & Garden show at Del Mar and scheduled a consultation which he was very thorough about the system, on top of providing discounts from the show.
The installation team of Joe T and Drayton was great. Very professional, followed all COVID-19 protocols and made sure everything worked as designed and looked good. We also got the RO system which is just awesome. The water tastes great and don't have to worry about lugging cases of water or heavy water jugs anymore.
We used the water softener that evening and you can feel the difference immediately. We would highly recommend using Rayne if you are looking into a water softener system. You won't be disappointed!

We had a fantastic experience w/Rayne. We worked with Donnie (sales) and Joe (installer) and were impressed by both of them. First contact was at the Del Mar Fair, where we scheduled a home visit. The person at the fair was helpful and friendly.

Sales experience:
Donnie came to our house for a home visit and was personable, courteous, knowledgeable, and didn't use any hard sell/pushy methods. He listened to our goals and concerns, and provided a clear summary of here's what we do, how we do it, and why we believe our system is the best balance of cost/benefit to meet your needs. Really a pleasant and informative experience.

In contrast we also talked to the company that Costco offers, and from the moment the sales person arrived it felt like a focused sell effort, less interested in listening to our needs, and mostly focused on delivering a scripted sales pitch. Their eventual quote for a water softening system was over twice the cost of the Rayne system.

Obviously we went w/the Rayne system. Water softening w/charcoal filtering.

Install Experience:
We had a complicated install due to limited space in our garage and difficulties due to the layout of our utility room where the drain needed to be located. Joe was our installer and he saved the day and worked out a great, simple install approach that managed all of our issues and allowed us to add the system w/the least amount of expense and complication. Just can't say enough about how Joe turned our install headache into an install success.

We've had the system in place for about three weeks now and it's working without any issues or problems. Would choose Rayne again in a hearbeat.

properly. Our initial concern was that the system was using a

We bought a water softener a year ago and it was set up wrong and water started spraying all over. Then recently I got a new washer and asked Rayne to come out and make sure it was hooked to the water softener properly. The guy that came out did not even know the hot water is on the left. Then he started talking about cutting pipes. I showed him how I thought it should be hooked up and he agreed and moved the hose, I was charged $60 for me to tell him how to hook it up! Love the water softener but technicians are lame.

After a complete remodel with classic home improvements, I chose Rayne to install a new Reverse osmosis filter under the new sink. Joe Tridle did a superb job installing the new unit. I measured the total resolved solid for my faucet to be 515 ppm, but the small RO faucet from Rayne measured 20 ppm after one day of use. We had previously a GE to but this unit has far more capacity and took up less space under the sink. Highly recommend for RO unit

I was looking for a counter top, bottleless, water cooler (preferably alkaline), that I can pay month to month. I can't commit to a longer period because the space I am using it in is temporary.  I need 3- 6 months or more.

The rep that I was talking to told me that I'd have to sign up for at least12 months and that I won't find any company to rent to me, month to month, because their sales people wouldn't get paid.  I took what he said in stride, but was pretty sure I could do better.

With a little more research online, I found exactly what I wanted.

These guys did great with replying to me quickly, but docking two stars for just not being helpful and giving incorrect information about the market in general.  I probably won't look at Rayne for a long term solution in the future.

Our company have been using Rayne Water years. There invoicing system sucks big time, AR team are very rude; first they don't provide invoice number, second they ONLY mail invoices-they don't give you an option of email etc. Now they are complaining of missed payment-I told them that they have to provide me a copy of the invoices that was missed and I will gladly process payment but the lady on the other end said that needs some researching etc etc. and we have to make sure we check our mails. I told her we check our mails regularly and I only process whatever I get from the mail!-I won't be going to USPS asking for mails from Rayne. I even asked the Rayne Rep that there must be a better way of sending us our invoices but she became rude and threatened to pull our their machines-which I said, I have no issues with and they can pull your machines anytime they want since half of the time they are not even working properly! Very Bad Customer Service!

Every interaction I've had with the personnel at Rayne Water has been outstanding. The technicians who have come to install and service the filtration equipment were professional and patient, answering all of my questions thoroughly and making sure my business and I were satisfied with everything. 10/10 would recommend.

I have been with Rayne for over six years. Three years ago I began having a problem with black water running out of my faucets and into my toilets. Repeatedly called Rayne who sent out techs , they
said  it was probably something to do with my plumbing. Over the three years , I must've call 6-7 times for them to come and help me with this each and every time I called they did not necessarily send out a tech. Finally, I paid a plumber to troubleshoot the problem, by this point thinking my main line was cracked and it was letting dirt into my plumbing. Not so said the plumber. He bypassed the water softening system & the water was clear. He drained my water heater because of course it got full of dirty water. I called and I spoke to three different women at Rayne asking for help.  She Told me somebody would be out on Wednesday this past week. Come Thursday morning nobody showed , nobody had called. I called again   Oh sorry, they had missed placed my appointment. I asked them to come out and put in a new system, & for them to consider giving me a credit on my account for three years of aggravation. She said she could give me a one day credit. I said no I was thinking more like six months. She called me back an hour later and said the most they could give me a credit for was one week. At that point I said please come and get your equipment, I've been a good client for six years paying $163 every two months religiously. And this is how you treat my loyalty. I asked to speak to the owner, I asked to speak to a manager, no one was available, in the words of the woman I was speaking to I believe her name was Argentina.  
Needless to say I'm frustrated, offended and deeply disappointed. Please do not use this company they do not care about you if you have a problem. All is well as long as there's no problems. Not the definition of customer service I was hoping for.

We moved to Chula Vista just as the COVID quarantine started. Our previous home had a soft water conditioner and we wanted one in our new home. We called our old company and they never responded back. We called Rayne and Donnie was sent out to talk to us.He  offered us a great deal and we signed up on the spot. Rayne Water Conditioning is a top of the line company.   We have been customers for approximately 40 years.
The manager of Rayne, Mark Hendricks, has gone way out of his way to accommodate our needs.
We just had a water unit installed, by Tom Callaway, who was personable yet professional. The equipment was installed in a timely manner. Tom also arrived within the designated tIme frame.  Also, the secretary Argentina was so friendly and accommodating and very professional. We are tough customers to satisfy.
The 40 years with Rayne indicates why Rayne is the water company to choose!!

I have used Rayne Water systems since I moved to arizona in 2008, they have always been there for me and my family. I can tell you from experience that a water softener is a must have in arizona due to the heavy mineral content in the city water. It will extend the life of you appliances and especially your water heater. The gentleman that sold me my house did not use a water softener, his water heater lasted only a year with Arizona city water running through it, the calcium and magnesium content destroyed the water heater after a years use. Just to give you a idea of how effective Raynes water softeners are, I have had the same water heater in my home for seven years and it is still going strong.

So far all I can speak about is the customer service and installation of our water filter/softener unit.  We first met Dave Marinesi at the county fair and he gave us a brief overview of the units and offered to come to our house and elaborate further.  He was very thorough and showed us with water tests how hard our water was.  We were sold on the Guardian 1250 and Mark and Jeffrey finished the installation today.  Mark and Jeffrey were very professional and the installation work they did was very clean.  They both gave a thorough introduction to the unit and were very responsive to my questions.  I am hoping for many years of trouble free service from the Guardian 1250 but it is reassuring to know if I have any issues that the customer service has been great so far.  Thanks Dave, Mark, and Jeffrey!!!!

I decided on this water softening conditioning system approximately one year ago. With in a week while I was of town alarms went off. The alarm does not send an alert to the office. The cause was that the installation was shoddy and there was shaved plastic clogging the unit. They fixed it. Next alarm... i go outside on a holiday weekend and water is shooting out of it at high pressure about 20 feet. I left a message with the 24 hour emergency option. I did not receive a call back for over 2 hours. In the meantime i had to call a plumber and pay holiday rates only to find out that almost no telflon tape was used on the high pressure fitting during installion. When i finally did receive a call back the man told me my emergency call had been sent to the wrong area. I have had 2 other incidences of alarms on the unit while i was away from home. The electrical was pieced together and left exposed with splices.
You can not pay your bill online or through an automated phone service. This is 2018
You can pay over the phone IF you can actually get someone to answer the phone which is highly unlikely. Snail mail is really your only option. The water itself is good quality but everything else about this company is terrible.

Rayne listened to my concerns and frustrations and finally had our softener system installed on a weekend because of their mistake.  Even though it was frustrating in the beginning - the product is great and I dont want to take anything away from that.  The installer came on time on a Saturday and finished early and made sure all of our questions were answered before he left.  I hope they continue to provide this kind of improved service for us from now on.

Steffan came to our house on a Saturday morning to fix our clogged and leaking sink. He crawled under the house to diagnose the problem and found there is a belly in the line. He replaced the leaking part under the sink and cut into a large pipe so he could run a larger, longer snake through our drain. His snake wouldn't power up so Steffan had to do this by hand. Our sink no longer leaks and it drains like perfectly.

Professional Installation. Donny came to our home to access what our needs are; then Tom came to do his artistic work with copper pipes and install our softwater tank. Tom spent much time to be sure that the tank fit in the small space he had between dryer and garage sink. I was quite impressed with his work!

This experience was NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING.  The sales rep Donnie was funny, knowledgeable and helpful.  And the tech who installed it, Joe did an awesome job.  And the very best part, we have SOFT water... soft in the tub, the washer, the kitchen.  Because we are from the Pacific Northwest, we never really thought about the quality of the water being so different in Southern California.  Hard water wrecks your appliances, leaves stains on your tubs, sinks and toilets.  The other chemicals are leached into the system from the city water system (chlorine etc).  It's damaging to your skin and hair.  No more!   We are in soft water heaven.  Thank you RAYNE WATER peeps!

We have had Rayne Water service for over 20 years, in 3 different homes and the service has been outstanding. We had the same delivery person most of the time. Recently, it appears Rayne has either subcontracted their routes out to someone else or has sold the business. Our scheduled delivery was just missed. I didnt notice it until it was 7 days past and when i called, the person indicated they would try to get here within a week.  In the past, it would have happened within a day.  If this is the new Rayne then it appears we might be looking elsewhere. I never had to monitor whether or not the delivery was made because it always was. Now it appears i will have to monitor the deliveries to insure they happen. Such a shame

I had two quotes for a water softening and decided on Ratner.  Donnie, the sales person who came to my home thoroughly investigated the best option for a salt system.  We decided the easiest way was to add it just to the hot water since, without a big expense, I would have to run pipes to the side of my house.  When Joe arrived to do the install, he discovered, much to my surprise, that he could install hot and cold for the entire inside of my home and leave city water to the outside!  I was very pleased to hear this,  Joe went through everything he did. Showed me all valves and what to do in case of water leak, vacation, etc. I also had reverse osmosis installed under my. Kitchen sink.  I cannot believe how much better my water tastes.  I am very pleased with Rayne.  I know have nice soft water.

We've been using Rayne since April and are very satisfied. The sales person we met with (Donnie) seemed quite knowledgeable about his product, took a fair amount of time to answer my questions, and was very pleasant. The service we ended up with was as promised-no bait-and-switch and no surprises. Our water must be quite hard where we live as our family deals with dry, cracked skin on our hands and our plumbing fixtures need too-frequent replacing.  The skin problem has virtually gone away, and we expect the fixtures to fare much better.
We also have Rayne deliver our salt. They provided a schedule and have stuck to it.
Should have rented a water softener a long time ago.

My daughter needed a water softener for her condo in San Diego, so I called Rayne. Donnie came out to discuss the options and suggested a unit that included a chlorine filter. Based on his recommendation, she decided to rent a softener with the chlorine filter. She is very pleased with it.

After about 7 month of service, an error message showed up on the display. Calling for support, I was told that it was not an urgent situation. Regardless, a service tech came out promptly and fixed the problem. There was apparently a loose plastic piece that got stuck in the water flow and had interfered with a flow sensor.

Donnie even followed up with a call to make sure all was satisfactory. We are rather happy with the softener unit, and also the service received.

Rayne not only delivers fully charged soft water canisters, but they will, and have, delivered the occasional extra bottle when needed.  We don't need to keep track of them as we have found the company and delivery personnel quite trustworthy.

Very disappointed with their service. They only have installation during weekdays which makes it hard for full-time workers. I had to take a day from work so they would install the water purifying system. Not only are they not punctual, but they said they couldn't do it since they were not well equipped!!!! So that day was a waste of effort and money. Someone else already came by before the installation day to review my sink and give me a price quote but didn't adequately take notes for the big day. They have yet to call to reschedule or apologize for their lack of customer service. Be ready to accommodate and be flexible with their schedule if you want to move forward with this company.

We have now had our water softening system for a year and wouldn't want to be without it.  Not only is our hair and skin much improved but BEST of all is no hard water deposits around faucets, tile, tub and shower.  And you should see our spotless dishes right out of the washer!  We also feel confident that this system will have long-term help with deposits in our copper water lines (for which we have had 2 leaks due hard water build up.) We had a representative come and explain the options.  Had a follow-up concern which he immediately resolved.  Happy with Rayne!

I had another water company, that shall remain nameless. They kept raising my prices and never upgraded my water filter system. Just switched to Rayne Water Conditioning. I met Dennis Calesa, at the  Fiesta del Sol in Solana Beach and he quoted a cheaper rate, with a better, more efficient updated water filter and larger tank for much cheaper. He came and looked over my old system and got the new system installed just a few days later. The installer was real nice and didn't complain at all about working in such a tiny little studio kitchen. He got it installed in no time and within the window of time quoted in advance. It is so nice to be able to fill a full pitcher of water in one trip. Water tastes great and I am a very happy customer. Who could beat cheaper and better and nicer.

I've had a Rayne water softener in for 19 yrs.  Throughout the years, I had the unit serviced which the company never had a record of due to multiple owner changes. I used a lifetime warranty to rebuild the resin tank recently as it was leaking. That cost me $60.00 for 1/2 hr for them to look at it after I told them the resin tank was leaking and where on the phone. Then I paid $120.00 labor to reinstall it for a little over an hour and 1/2 work + $60.00 plant fee + 30.00 shipping fee. So my warranty work cost me 270.00 which could have been $210.00 if they would have just come out and took the tank out like I asked them to.
When they took the unit out, the bypass valve was leaking.  The tech said it was no big deal when he replaced the tank it wouldn't matter. I replaced the house pressure regulator while the resin tank was out (2 weeks) and called Rayne to have the tech bring a bypass valve rebuild kit so he could do that and re install the tank at the same time since the seals we 19 years old. . When the tech installed the tank, there was a loud foghorn noise every time the water was turned on. The tech  blew me off saying it was my regulator and didn't rebuild the valve EVEN THOUGH I TOLD HIM TO because he was in a hurry.  When I put the valve in bypass the fog horn noise went away.  I had to have them come back to rebuild the bypass valve.  Tech was here 40 minutes charged me an hour labor and another 4.95 surcharge (their medical insurance surcharge) to do a job that could have been done when I paid them 2 hours labor for 1.5 hrs they were here to reinstall the resin tank. I had to call them several times and ARGUE with them that the bypass valve was the issue making the fog horn noise.  The tech swore it was my regulator.  So all in all, I had 3 plumbers come out installed 2 different regulators and the problem WAS THE BYPASS VALVE I TOLD THEM TO REBUILD IN THE FIRST PLACE. They cost me well over $300.00 in plumbing service calls and gouged me on the labor for their work which should have been a trip to get the tank and one to reinstall it and rebuild the bypass valve. All could have been done in 2 hours.  So in closing, you be the judge, I wouldn't buy another softener from them and I certainly wouldn't listen to them if you have a like situation.

Update:  After all of this shenanigans, once the softener went into regeneration  2 weeks after the bypass rebuild I woke up to another puddle in the garage...the plumbing leaked from the head to the brine tank.  The problem with this company is the techs are in such a hurry they don't check their work. That makes 3 months and about 6 trips to fix a softener that was leaking in the first place.  Not very efficient service.

Such a waste of time. They never showed up for the installation of the unit. When I called they said they would give me a call right back to see what's going on. Waited another hour and never received a call. I waited at my house from 9-1 on a well scheduled day after taking a day off from work. Now I'm late to go to the DMV. Thanks for nothing. Wouldn't recommend this company to The Devil for Hell. It would freeze over before getting their service call. Even tho their offices is next to The Devil himself. Horrible service. The manager finally called 1 1/2 hours passed the appointment time and asked if we could reschedule. -.- no thanks
If you want a $25 Starbucks gift card all you gotta do is post a review during your first consultation before the appointment for instillation. Beware of the positive reviews

Got a water purification system at our kitchen sink a year ago.  The Sales guy that came out was excellent and very informative but not high pressure.  Fast forward to now, we saw what seemed to be floaters in the water coming out of the Rayne system and called them to send someone out to check it out. They scheduled a very nice gentleman (sorry, didn't get name) that was extremely helpful.  We thought the system, which is $50.00 every two months (very affordable), needed the filter changed once yearly.  The tech said it was every two years but said that after testing, the water could have been more pure--he thought our salt water softener line was leaking into the system, so he changed out the entire system for us!  This was totally at no cost to us! We were amazed and very, very happy!  I highly recommend this specific Rayne Water Company. Budd B.

I was unhappy about a job... the mess left behind, the various people I would speak to on the phone trying to get answers.  
But within an hour or 2 of my complaint I received an email and later a phone call to try to resolve my issues.  As with any service provider, communication can be key - and when it breaks down it gets frustrating.  But obviously customer service is very important to Rayne, and I appreciate their efforts to understand my frustration, to investigate the problem, and to resolve it.

We have been very happy with our RO unit in our kitchen  that we have been renting for about 6 months. The water comes out very quickly. The tank has been an ample size and the water tastes wonderful. We needed a few minor adjustments due to the spigot loosening and the service has been fantastic every time. Rented a unit from these guys and was very pleased with the level of service. Donnie the salesman came out to meet with me and discussed my options and things only got better from there. Ive had a total of 3 different servicemen out since installing the unit (one for install, one for uninstall and one for salt deliver) and all 3 of these gentlemen were the epitome of what a customer service visit should look like. Great service all round from the initial consultation to the installation. Technician showed up right on time and they were done in 2-3hrs installing a whole house softener. It's only been a week or so in use but so far so good. Hopefully it will continue to work as advertised.

This company mailed us a notice from their mail delivery center.  It said We have been unable to reach you by pyhone to set up package delivery.  Please call to arrange FREE delivery.

In big letters it had:  PACKAGE DELIVERY NOTICE  

We had recently ordered some items for delivery, so called to coordinate the delivery.  

1)  The company said they would need to call us back.
2)  After an hour, we called them back, and that was when we found out that yes, they have a package for new home owners that they will deliver to you,  but it is REALLY a scam for them to sell their services.

I wouldn't go with these people if they were paying me to use their product.  This kind of deceptive marketing should not be rewarded with ANYONE's business.

My husband I moved to a new home and noticed that our black dishes were becoming spotted and constantly looked dirty, and our new shower curtain looked disgusting.  At the recommendation of a family member, we called Rayne.  Within a few days, we were having a soft water system installed. The plumber went out of his way to install the system where we wanted it - he even came out on a Saturday to finish the work.  (The job was a bit more difficult due to our house's layout.)  Our dishes finally look clean and everything in our bathrooms stay new looking.  The build-up on our faucets has ceased and our new shower curtain has stayed new looking.  So glad we installed a Rayne salt system!

I have been a Rayne customer for a couple of decades, at least, and I have always been happy with their service. I am writing today specifically to thank three of their employees. I always shut my reverse osmosis system off when we are away for more than a few days. This morning I came home and discovered that the ball valve on my RO tank was stuck closed. When I called Rayne and explained that we had no filtered water, Argentina and Alison went the extra mile to get someone to the house on short notice. That someone was Martin, who was knowledgeable and efficient and quickly fixed the problem. Thank you. I am a happy customer.

Great Service! After moving to San Diego, my wife and I noticed our daughter eczema was getting worse and my wife's hair was breaking. After doing some research, we discovered that San Diego has some of the hardest water in the country. We learned about Rayne Water from my sister and immediately ordered their services. After using their services, we've noticed great improvements in my daughter's eczema and my wife's hair. We also have the added bonus of having a cooler that filters our drinking water which saves us money because we don't have to buy bottled water.

practices.  We had a system installed 2 1/2 years ago and need to close our business soon. After calling them to pick up equipment they informed me that we had a 5 year contract which i had no idea of.  Obviously our sales person took it upon himself to sign us up for that contract without telling me.  So now they won't do anything about it.  Very shady company.
Manager won't even talk with me because he is gutless.  I will make sure everyone I know does not use this company.  Water tastes like crap as well.

We purchased our Rayne Water Treatment on October 14, 2014.  Mark installed it and he did an excellent job.  The unit is in our garage and very compact.  So far we love it! The water feels so nice and best of all I know this will help with out plumbing fixtures, faucets, the calcium deposits left on our shower glass stall and the tub itself.  I highly recommend this product!

Rayne Water was out this morning to service our reverse osmosis. The tech changed our filters. He is always so neat. Never makes any cleanup for me. The water taste great and is extremely pure. Better than purchasing high priced bottled water. Bottom line is we are very pleased with them. I really feel it's a good investment in your health.

I have had my Rayne soft water system installed and running for about 4 months. From the beginning Rayne has been very responsive. My rep, Donnie, explained the system to me, as well as pricing. He even gave me the name of the person who answers the phone should I need to call.The installation was paid for by the reduced payment for the first 3 months. The water is soft. New resin tanks come every 4 weeks. There is nothing for me to do.  All is well. I highly recommend Rayne for your water softening needs.

Kenny was extremely professional and courteous. He tested the water and provided a range of possible solutions. Installation of the water softener was scheduled for just a few days later. John was on-time and did an extremely professional job; almost a work of art with copper. The equipment is commercial level and first rate; substantially higher quality than the failed water softener that I'd purchased and installed from a big-box store just a very few years ago. If you're looking for water treatment solutions for your home or business these are the people to call.

We paid cash for it and 3 weeks later , salt in the tank down to 2/3 of a tank . Installation guy name Tom would not even greet you. After install the system. I sure ask him Did you set the system? He said Yes, It was done at the factory . Call them to ask what is going on with the system . Appointment set  from 12 to 3, I stay home to wait for them, they call to cancel the appointment !! I have never seen a company to cancel the customer !! Well Tom come again and did not know what to do. He called the office and set it up . Not even say Sorry we messed up . I call them back and want another tech to come to verify his works and fill up the missing salt. They call back today and to inform me that they r not coming at all and your system work fine . They do not even  deserve a star . Hope my 2850 dollars last

Been using Rayne water for about 8 months now and could not be happier with their product/services. From the time they came to our house to interview with us about our water needs, helping us select the right equipment, payment options, installation and equipment performance they've been great to deal with. Follow up service has been outstanding as well. I'd highly recommend Rayne for all your residential water needs.

I let my husband Steve gather info on a group of whole house water systems to replace a system we currently had. When we finally met with Rayne, not only were they affordable but the whole house softening system is great! Everything cleans better! We even had a drinking water system installed and had it hooked up to our fridge so even our ice is clear!

I remember being a kid, and having a weekly visit from Rayne to swap out our parent's soft water tank as part of the exchange service up in Scripps Ranch... 25+ years later, I welcomed them into my home to install a softener and conditioning system.  We're on a well, so softening was a priority, but as part of the package, we also got a pre-filter system for sediment, and their Guardian system.  Installation took two attempts (first time they came out, they brought the wrong tank), but the installer was otherwise courteous and on time (and he had worked for the company for EVER, which is always reassuring).  The sales guy... well, he was actually a good guy, and wasn't too pushy-used-car-salesman type, but after all, he does need to make a living, so would give us friendly calls every week or so while we were shopping other companies.  The prices were a little high (their Big Blue filter markup was especially high), but hopefully those higher prices will payoff when something goes wrong and we need service.  Other than that, it was an enjoyable experience (as enjoyable as buying a water system can be), and we are glad we chose this company as compared to the others we got estimates from (all the usual home show suspects).  Four stars for now... I'll update and revise next time we need their help or have another interaction!

Bill Reed signed me up for a under sink RO system.  We were spending over $100 per month on bottled water.  We're saving a lot of money now and never run out of water.  The taste of the RO filtered water is better than the bottled too!  Now I don't have all the clutter of bottles and we also feel good about using less plastic.  It's the little things :)

Beware long time Rayne Water customers!  After being a customer for almost 20 years, Rayne Water was negligent in replacing our soft water tank. The tank imploded and caused little tiny beads to run throughout our entire plumbing system. This caused every faucet, toilet and appliance in our house to become clogged and unable to allow water to run through. Rayne Water technicians tried to drain all the pipes and clear the clogs but they were unable to. They advised us to hire a plumber and promised to reimburse us IMMEDIATELY. The plumber spent 2 1/2 days at our house replacing shower heads and faucets, unplugging appliances and toilets. The bill ended up being over $4000!  While Les, the operating manager was understanding and apologetic. He even shared with me that the tanks only last 10-15 years and should be replaced. Why was our 20 year tank never replaced? The CFO Bret refused numerous times to talk with my husband. They sent our plumber's bill to their insurance company Travelers, and now they will not release a check to us unless we sign a waiver releasing them of any future issues we may have due to their faulty equipment.  Why would any one do such a thing?   How do we know that there will not be any other issues with our plumbing due to their negligence.  They haven't even offered any compensation to us for being displaced from our house for 3 days due to their faulty equipment.  It's been 30 days now and we still haven't been reimbursed.

They were very patient and let me take my time deciding. They didn't try and over sell me and were WAAAAY cheaper than Culligan. The install guys were very friendly and they worked around my 6 year old and his plastic hammer. I highly recomend them for all drinking water and water softening needs.

If you are looking to change like I foolishly did , DONT the water is terrible , I developed an itch in my scalp and my dogs were scratching so much they were developing patches where they had no hair , that happened as soon as I changed waters , and as soon as I changed back to Culligan everybody is fine ,Rayne makes you sign a contract for a year and in little bitty letters that I did not see and was not told , you have to pay 200 for early termination , I don't wonder why since the water is so bad and the service is also bad , the next day they installed it I had no drinking water and when I called some kid answered the phone and told me : what  do you want me to do , I don't even own a screwdriver I did reach the salesman Nick and he got a hold of someone to come , the installer had done something wrong , from then  on it went down hill , the flavor of the drinking water was not the same quality neither was the water pressure , the tech they sent several times was very nice but there was just so much he could do , now I owe them 200.00 and got a very nasty call from Tammy , I will pay them but it will have to be in installments , the contract does not specify how much or when I should pay them, also when they installedl the water softener they broke one of my big flower pots . My advice is to stay away from them and if you have Culligan don't change you will be sorry .
