Our dryer broke down recently, and Marco from SBG reached out to us when we were looking up quotes for repair.
Marco was very straightforward and knowledgeable, and was the only provider we got a quote from that gave his thoughts on what the issue might be upfront, as well as a full cost estimate (rather than just a visitation/diagnostic fee).
Scheduling an appointment was quick and painless, and Marco fixed several issues our dryer had and got it working perfectly again within 1-1.5 hours.
When it came time to discuss payment, it was well within the initial range he provided - no upsells, unexpected charges/fees, or gimmicks.
He even provided us with a lot of background behind what was causing our dryer issues, as well as advice for properly maintaining our dryer going forward.
Would absolutely recommend SBG Plumbing to anyone who needs something fixed and wants someone who is knowledgeable, professional, and honest.

Robert is our go to plumber for our plumbing needs. He is very responsive, friendly and explains everything that goes into the job. We bought an older home that requires a lot of plumbing repair. To date, we have had our main shut off valve replaced, garage drain de clogged and backyard pipe replaced. Plumbing can certainly be a daunting problem but Robert makes it easy and we have never had any issues after the repair. Would recommend this plumbing company to all our friends.

Excellent service! Plein Plumbing is always professional and trustworthy. They have done several jobs at our house that are great quality for a reasonable price. Would highly recommend!

We live in a 120 year old house (old train station) and have used Pt. Loma for years because of their experience with old house wiring. In 2015 they installed a ceiling fan in the living room. Apparently the former owner who did the work did not install it properly and it began to pull down the board in the ceiling it was attached to. I was getting worried as the separation kept increasing. Today wonderful Reese came, took it down, inspected it, discovered the problem and did a great job repairing it, using long screws to attach it securely. He was very knowledgeable. He also changed a light bulb in the closet that I couldn't reach without climbing a step ladder (not safe at 80!). They did not charge me a penny as it was not done correctly originally. A great company. Reese is a fine young man, very courteous and helpful. He has a great future ahead of him!! I continue to recommend Pt. Loma Electric!

Bill and his assistant, Carlos, have rescued me a couple of times and the first time involved a warranty situation with a parade of plumbers assessing/estimating the problem with my tankless. That was a beauty contest that Bill and Carlos won handily because they have the honesty and integrity that all the others lacked. So I would not hesitate to recommend them. Oh, and to top it off, their prices are reasonable - what more could you ask.

I called C & C Plumbing last week to repair a leak under our guest bathroom sink. When I called, Gary, one of the plumbers (maybe the owner?) spent a fair amount of time over the phone diagnosing the problem--which no plumber would ever do without coming to my place and charging me. His diagnosis was spot-on. Chris, one of their plumbers, called me 30 minutes prior to arrival, as promised. When Chris showed up, he confirmed the issue, gave me a quote, and fixed it. He spent time afterwards, checking to make sure the A/C rubber condenser line (which was the culprit) and PVC pipes were dry as a bone, before pronouncing it fixed. I will use C & C Plumbing for ANY plumbing issues! Fair priced, great service!

I needed some old furniture removed. Dylon was very professional and kind. We had no problems getting things cleared quickly.

Super professional and did a great job. Easy to schedule and showed up with proper equipment. They did a through job of cleaning my windows and screens which needed it after a period of being under construction. Would recommend them and will use the service again.

From the start, this company was quick to respond to us, and eager to start! Once here, Carlos and Chapo did such a great job at our place. We had been told in the past by other AC guys that our tiny crawl space under a huge house is the hardest they have ever had to work with (one company even passed on the job). BUT these guys did the job quickly and with a great attitude. This was the second time rats had somehow chewed their way under our house and made a home in our ducting. It was emotionally going to be difficult undertaking to have all the ducting replaced again, but this company made the process easy. They even did a couple things that the last company we used didn't do-- they included new metal vents for our flooring, and sealed them underneath to the ducting with a special metal tape. These extra special touches were a nice surprise. I will recommend them to everyone!

Tim was very professional, honest, communicative and fast! He handled the submission of the paperwork to the city and the overall experience was a breeze for me. I would not hesitate to recommend TS Backflow to my friends and family and am happy to have found my go-to resource for annual inspections!

I found Pip based on a neighbor's recommendation. If you follow my Yelp reviews, I am a fan of small businesses with lower costs and less middlemen. I have had numerous leaks, floods and plumbing issues with several properties, so I know plumbers. Best one to date. He is affordable, on-time, charming, clean, knowledgeable, hard-working and likable. He does the work, not subcontractors. Doesn't get much better.

Had all new appliances from Lowes delivered and installed today. Refrigerator water line was leaking so they couldn't install until it was replaced!
Found The Works Plumbing on yelp and gave them a call. They answered immediately and scheduled my service window in minutes. Shawn & Steve (? I think, sorry) we're here within an hour and did an amazing job. Professional, fast, friendly and went above and beyond to help me out.
5+ stars for sure. They made my stressful situation go away immediately. Happy customer!!
Thanks guys!

Very good service, prompt, efficient, communicative, and effective.
We had slow-draining bathroom and kitchen, a smelly drain, and a few other plumbing concerns. After 2 plumbers with whom we hadn't been satisfied, I looked to Yelp for another plumbing company, and Daniel's Plumbing & Son had 6 five-star reviews, so clearly liked, but not well experienced? (They solved all of our plumbing issues -- details below.)
I phoned, and Steve and I had a long, informative and listening conversation. We scheduled service, and he, Art, and Manny arrived, only to find a misaligned sewer-pipe junction with a camera...in the middle of our house...ugh. We scheduled for the jackhammering and other items we wanted fixed (e.g. water-hammer arresters), and after a short medical-emergency delay for which Steve was clearly sorry and nervous I'd be upset (I wasn't.), they performed all of the work in 2 days.
Steve and Art pulled in their father, the eponymous Daniel, and he helped solve the misaligned sewer problem. Art found two small leaks from the previous plumber's work, and he fixed them without charging. They solved the hot/cold water mixing problem we had throughout the house (found crossed water lines at the hot water heater) and solved that. They installed 4 water-hammer arresters in our lines and we no longer experience the daily explosions in our house multiple times a day (yay!). And, finally, our sinks/tubs are draining much better.
The best part is that, even though Daniel's Plumbing & Son did not re-tile the tiles they'd jackhammered, after we finally replaced the tile ourselves (3 weeks, due to concrete dry time, 1 weekend trip, and 1 week trip), they came out the day after I said the tile was done to reinstall the toilet. Can't ask for better service than that!
I highly recommend this company. Communication is prompt and thoughtful. Questions answered. Payment easy (invoice emailed and all payments available; I paid by check, but could have with CC). Work, so far (3 weeks later), remains as expected.

On 2/14/19 we had slow drains that flooded a planted area and water seeped into our neighbor's home. Pristine Plumbing came out and gave us an estimate. We had the work done on Monday, 2/25/19. Everyone on the job was very professional, polite and respectful of our property, including the lead technician/plumber Rey and also Dwain, who was managing the crew. We also very much appreciated that, at my request, Rey went to the next-door-neighbor to provide status after the work was completed (the neighbors have an insurance liability claim against our homeowner's policy for the damage caused to their home). The job included the use of a camera in the drains to find the root cause (no pun intended), followed by hydro jetting, then the camera again, then cabling out roots that the hydro jetting didn't resolve. This resolved the issue of slow drains in the planted area as best they could, but the bigger problem was not accessible without cutting out/removing part of the brick pathway, and another estimate was prepared and emailed. It was a large estimate, and I wrote back twice (on Wed/Thur) to ask for a revised estimate, but didn't receive a response... On Friday, 3/1/1, we called Pristine to come back out to re-evaluate the slow drain repair, and to ask them to mark the spot where we need to take out brick, etc. (something we prefer to get done ourselves, to lower the cost of the estimate). Pristine agreed to send back Dwain on Saturday, 3/2/19, morning. Dwain used the camera again and marked the spot for us where the bricks need to be cut out and said he'd follow up on the revised estimate request. We really appreciate him coming back out, in the rain on Saturday to 'mark the spot' where to cut the brick.
(NOTE: We are still waiting for the revised lower estimate from Pristine Plumbing to repair cracked pipes beneath the brick. Once that job is done and assuming all goes well, we'll add the additional star!)

Robert was fantastic. Returned my call immediately, even though it was after hours. Came promptly and repaired the bathtub faucet that wouldn't turn off. Checked other plumbing issues in my house that I just hadn't gotten around to calling a plumber for yet, and came back two days later to take care of them. Accommodated my schedule and was completely professional. I now have my go-to-plumber!

Let's start at the end. Best plumbing outfit going. Honest -- word play intended. This is your new plumber. Examples? Best price for new water heater and install; checks toilet, nothing wrong so doesn't try and sell me something. Seriously, it's like 1950 and the plumber is your second cousin. Thank you George.

We had Robert fix our whole-house hot water recirculation system - which has never worked properly. He explained what the problem was, how it could be fixed, and he did NOT try to sell us anything, which most plumbers do! He worked a little late to finish the job (he said his wife would understand) and did it very well at a good price. It is wonderful to find a plumber who can trust and who can actually do plumbing work - rather than just install new plumbing fittings. You need look nowhere else.

I did my homework and researched several HVAC companies. I ended up with over 10 quotes. I chose to go with Thompson because Garrett was so pleasant to work with. Their price was the most reasonable, and the cheapest one was not necessarily the best (for example they wanted 1/2 payment up front, which Garrett noted was not allowable by CA law). Garrett didn't even ask for a deposit! I gave him the OK, signed an agreement, and in a week, Garrett and his team got the work done on time, there were no issues, and they cleaned up everything. It was just in time to enjoy the AC before the summer heat blast this last September.
Beware, many of the companies out there will try to convince you that a particular size unit is what you need. Garrett was the only one who said I didn't need such a large unit (we needed 2, 1 up/1 down, 3500 SF house). He was right. What he installed for us works perfectly to cool each of the floors. He saved us over $1000! And that is with a good quality brand unit.
I'm extremely pleased, and I have the highest praise for Garrett and the Thompson team!
