Laidlaw is a local Borrego Springs Plumber.  They installed two faucet sets for us.  One we bought from another source had an issue.  Don Laidlaw took the faucet for repair and reinstalled it in perfect working order. Excellent follow up and service.

No multi-unit building insurance and high priced quote for the repair. Found another company who has the insurance and was significantly cheaper.
Response to the owner: Btw, apartment isn't commercial building, but yes I did find another company who had full liability insurance for working on apartments and 3X cheaper. I even mentioned I have hot water shutoff within the apartment. And please see the exact wording of your quote, no mentioning on 'replacing the whole thing' at all. And when I mentioned the price was too high, there was absolutely no response until I posted an review.

I've been avoiding leaving a review, because I don't want to share him. ;) Travis has been out to my house several times since finding him on Yelp - I think because, once you find a contractor you trust, you start scheduling all the projects you've been avoiding... Travis feels like a friend now - always making time to come out when we need him, has a real talent and skill (by my husband's high standards), and is always priced where we would expect. We're so glad we found him, and I guess it's okay to share. ;)

My son was house sitting in Encinitas and a sprinkler head by the front door broke and was gushing water. He had no idea where the shut off valve was so he called me. I'm not a plumber!

The good news is I knew Cal Campbell, who is also affectionately known by his clients as The Master Plumber of the Universe. I called him and he must have had his jet-pack on because he was on the scene in no time. Fortunately there was no real damage but that's because Cal was so efficient. For al your plumbing needs (not just those pesky emergencies) I can totally recommend Cal of Cal's Plumbing.

Mike really knows his stuff. Had an odd plumbing situation that took a bit of troubleshooting to figure out, but he stuck with it and all is great now.  Very honest and reliable too. Would definitely recommend to others.

I was referred by a friend at work. I had a hose break under the sink. At the time I thought it was a pipe or something worse. I called and they came right over and fixed it. I was so happy with the gentleman that helped me. I will refer my friends to diet plumbing.

Jared was incredible - came over, saw what he needed to do, made some great suggestions - He got all the right parts for a large job, the first time (this never happens). Have recommended to contractor friends and family members. Amazing guy!

Jonathan came out and did a great job getting a clog cleared in very old pipes.  It took some doing but he got it done!  There was a bit of a billing error with my credit card but it was corrected right away...I will definitely be calling again when service is needed.

Quick to respond but lack of
Quick problem solving ,Where its going to cost you more damage . At no point was there a proper communication to solve the problem (leak) right away  it was left as is, They just wrote down some bs bid report as to what he thought he should do, didn't intent to even quick fix  & didn't even have to do any of the things listed at the end the job was done because it was necessary emergency, my lesson learned is always get a 2nd quote don't call this company call Drain Mob

Great experience working with Chad and James. Professional and friendly gentlemen, who know what they are doing. I needed to disconnect the heaviest ceramic sink in the universe and they got it done in no time. Not to mention they agreed to work on a Saturday morning. Definitely recommend if you looking for a quality work of a licensed professional plumber. Thank you for being so amazing!

The team at Coast 2 Coast plumbing came out and got my leaking water main replaced same day. I had water coming up everywhere and didn't know how to shut it off. Danny was able to walk me through turning the water off over the phone. I appreciated their cleanliness, attention to detail, and ability to quickly diagnose and repair my plumbing problem. Definitely recommend 10/10.

Bottom Line for those that do not want to read this boring, lengthy review:  I highly recommended Mike and Proactive Plumbing.  On my soapbox, I do ask, however, as responsible consumers, let's make sure to not take advantage of honest and hardworking small business (and even larger businesses) by using reviews as leverage and asking them to provide services beyond what we are paying them to do.  It is apparent from his immaculate yelp records that he has gone above and beyond to ensure his client's satisfaction.

I say that because he has really gone above and beyond for us today and is providing services that, at the end of the day, really do not fall under Proactive Plumbing's umbrella of responsibility. Rather some of the responsibilities belongs to two other businesses (one of those is do to a timing issue and the other is due to, what I consider, poor service).  Ultimately, we will pay him for the addition service; however, it is unfortunate that he is not requesting payment from us due to a unjust fear that we may give a bad review based off of others business services failures or delays.

CHAIN OF EVENTS:
We ordered a new dishwasher from a big box store and purchased the installation service as well.  The third party service delivered the dishwasher and prepared for install.  Within 10 minutes, they deemed the valve was bad and could not continue with the install until we called a plumber to come out and replace the valve.  Once completed, called the big box to reschedule the installation.

I checked yelp for plumbing services, and received four quotes, including ProActive Plumbing, which had the most reviews with highest ratings.  All responses were quick.  ProActive price was very fair, and, again, the reviews were excellent.  We had him come out when we were completing the replacement of our flooring.  

Mike from ProActive explained that the valve really was not bad, but when turning on the water it could drip.  He was honest and said if we did not want to spend the money now, it was not necessary; however, we would probably need to in the future.  We went forth with the repair.  

He completed the repair; however, acknowledged that he did not have one of the pieces.  He replaced it with a comparable part and gave the disclaimer that, should the Installers give further flack about the piece, ask them to install the dishwasher, yet leave the hose disconnected.  Pro-Active would then come back to replace the piece and connect the dishwasher.

The Installation Service came back out and would not install due to, what they squawked was, the incorrect fitting.  So out comes Pro-Active Plumbing again, which brings us to where we are today.  This is what he has done for us:
We discovered the new flooring juts too far into the dishwasher cubby.  He figured out a way to cut it and fit it.  This was not his responsibility, but he did it anyways.
He replaced the valve with the necessary valve.  
He installed the dishwasher.  This was not his responsibility, but he did it anyways.

He was hired to replace a valve and ended up completing all of these extra tasks in the name of customer service, and is personable, at that.

I have called around to get the quotes to replace my 11 years old water heater. I called the NC Water Heater Services as a friend recommend.

I talked to Plamen and he is very professional and delight to talk to. And his price is very decent compared to the others. We arranged the date/time for him to pick up the water heater at Home Depot (HD) - free of charge. Others want to charge me $50.
He arrives on time (actually a bit early) to meet me at HD and we on our way to my property.
Plamen really knows what he doing, seriously! He replaces all of the old traps, pipe, etc. new water tray/pan. Since I previously don't have the water tray. So, he drilled and make new pipe drainage for it. Free of charge.
He finished within 2 hours and thoroughly clean up the place and collect all the wrapping materials and the old water heater.

I am very happy with his service. See attached picture - it's a good looking water heater :)
