Julian from Premo was able to fit into my schedule and come on a Saturday. He was able to install an outdoor outlet, outdoor switch and new motion security flood light all within an hour. Was super friendly and helpful and got the work done fast to exceed expectations. Will be giving him a call for anything electrical in the future. Job well done!!

These guys were great.  Quick response and quote time.  Easy scheduling and showed up right on time.  The project was smooth, efficient and friendly.  Cant ask for more!  Would definitely recommend and use again!

I'm going to save you some time: if you need an electrician, these are the guys to call! Ed came over to fix something I had totally screwed up - which I thought was a huge problem - and within 5 minutes he diagnosed it and in 15 minutes had fixed it! And he was a very nice guy. Easy to see why they get 5 stars! Need an electrician? Call them!!!

Mike did an excellent job - great pricing and service.  We love our new ceiling fan, light fixtures, and dimmer light switches.  We'll certainly be using them again in the near future.

What a fantastic job he did! He created a new box and switch for my 15ft ceiling to hang my chandelier. He kept the area as clean as possible and got the job done. His price was very reasonable also. So it's bound to happen sometime after thousands of transactions with vendors and it's ALWAYS in your time of need ... we just got ROYALLY screwed over by Mark and H&H Lighting & Electrical! If you want an electrician who has a complete lack of attention to detail and threatens you with a mechanics lien when he was paid but didn't finish the work, OR a contractor who over-promises and under-delivers, H&H is your company.

We found H&H Lighting & Electrical on Yelp due to their high reviews. Mark met with my husband who detailed every single thing that we needed done on our remodel. Mark wrote up an estimate with a few line items on the bigger things and absolutely NO detail on the other smaller things that needed done. We then had him back out two days later because we needed a more detailed estimate to make sure we were on the same page and we had a tight schedule. We also needed to remove items to get closer to our electrical budget, so we removed almost all of the can lights, hard-wired smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, etc. in order to get closer. Mark gave us a new price to meet our budget, but no updated written estimate.

Mark gets started but WHAT'S THE FIRST THING HE DOES? The almost $1200 charge of the alarms and detector that we wanted to remove. At that point, I made him go over EVERYTHING that we discussed, which he noted on a yellow paper pad, still no actual estimate with details. Because he seemed to have a grasp of what needed to be done and was only a couple days into the project, we proceeded with him. Our mistake!

The next problem was that Mark told us it would be four days to complete the whole project, and he wasn't close to done after 8 days on the job. His first excuse was that his helper Lucas was sick and bailed on him so we gave him the benefit of the doubt and let him continue. We then found out that Lucas is a trainee and Mark doesn't really have anyone else qualified to work with him. (I'm also not sure why his license says that they're exempt from workers comp -- it says that they have no employees at this time -- Lucas is clearly an employee and should be covered by workers comp in this dangerous business).

And then there were the endless mistakes:  putting up two ceiling fixtures in the same room off-center with each other, putting in Decora light switches when we wanted standard light switches, repeatedly telling him ALL interior switches on dimmers and then not doing dimmers, installing alarm/detector wiring (that we didn't want) and the couple of remaining can lights randomly in the middle of the ceiling with no rhyme nor reason, putting a vanity light's wiring so high that the fixture would hit the ceiling, and then losing the cover to our brand new ceiling fan/light/heater combination.

The best part is Mark blames US for being disorganized when HE'S completely disorganized. Here's what he texted my husband:

The first day we met I discussed four days then you called a second meeting doubling the work then you stopped thing with deciding no can lights this job is to rushed and has been unorganized  in 98% done and if your that unhappy with us then maybe we need to stop all put in the few breakers that are left a not do all the add inside

First, I don't even know what he's trying to say other than calling us unorganized. We are the EPITOME of organization here ... we are just at the mercy of good contractors who need to be able to self-manage since we are not yet living at the location. Second, we didn't double the work and we actually removed stuff ... this is how wrong he was all the time. Mark never said that it would extend the number of days that he needed to work, and he put our whole tight and very organized remodel plans in jeopardy. Everyone was waiting on Mark, but then he said he had bronchitis so we had to move on with another electrician.

This is not by any means over and we've already taken up his lack of a written estimate, having an uninsured employee, etc. with the CSLB and then we'll go to the BBB as well. We can't let this happen to anyone else. AND the mistakes our new electrician has discovered are enough to make us want to pursue a full refund -- old breakers installed rather than new ones in a sub-panel, light switches controlling nothing, things taken out that shouldn't have been.

Anyway, it's such a complete waste of time and effort to even write something like this when we have a major remodel underway with 5-6 talented contractors on-board, BUT I feel like it's my duty to be clear about the lack of accountability and risk to your home without workers comp. Just looking up a contractor on the CSLB is not enough ... be sure that you get a written estimate detailing everything and NEVER let a contractor without workers comp have an employee on site. Licensed does not equal insured OR being accountable for your actions OR being a good business person.

We have worked with Rory twice.  The first time we called him, it was to fix all the issues that another electrician we had hired caused (don't get me started on that one!) He totally understands that when you have no power and you work from home, you are shut down.  He fit us into his busy day, showed up when he said he would, was highly professional, completed the work quickly, and cleaned up after himself. The next time we needed an electrician, hands down, the only one we considered calling was Rory.  He does great work at a very fair price.

If you want someone to get the job done right AND on time, Frank is your guy!  Frank helped with a huge renovation project we had, from planning to installation of a new meter.  He makes himself available and is up front when it comes to timing and prices.  He really takes pride in his work and will go the extra mile to make sure the job gets done.  We would highly recommend Frank Electric!

After checking with a few electricians, ER was prompt and fairly priced. Although our job wasn't huge, we felt ER treated our project with as much importance as any big job. Romo has a great attention for detail and was very helpful with suggestions and creative solutions for getting the job done. Thank you to Romo and his team for the quick and efficient work!

Let me start by saying I don't write reviews..but I couldn't help but want to recommend Primo's electrical service. Jose was extremely professional and did a fantastic job! He was persistent when the issue was very hard to diagnose. He is highly skilled and provided a great solution that not only fixed my outlet but also added additional safety measures. Jose worked hard AND efficiently for every hour I paid him. He's a total champ!!! I would definitely recommend Primo's electrical service!!!!

We just finished a big remodeling project and Chris McWay did all the electrical work, which wasn't easy in our 1913-built home.  Chris was knowledgeable, professional, and great to work with.  I also hired him to install a motion-sensor light at a rental property and he was right on it and gave me a good price.  So no job too big or too small.

Great job today by Jose and Juan.  I am a first time customer and am very pleased with the prompt response by Dean, followed by quick scheduling of the work.  Juan and Jose arrived promptly and completed the work, including clean up in less than the anticipated amount of time!  And that was with a challenging wall to penetrate.  Quality work, very polite and professional.  Will use again!

You have the Howe people, the smell good folks, white glove guys, the we will wow you company and many others who I called when looking to have a Tankless water heater installed before my old free standing water heater went out.

Pt. Loma Plumbing sent out a fellow named Mark to see what I wanted to do.  Mark explained everything to me and the difference between the good and not so good tankless water heaters and each of their warranties as well as the service Pt. Loma Plumbing offers which was better than most without the extended warranty fees.

Not only did Mark give me the estimate he was also the installer with an assistant which says a lot to me.  No hype! just outstanding customer service and professionalism, neat and clean after installation, explaining the operation of the tankless not just handing me a manual.
I can't say enough about Mark and everyone at Pt. Loma Plumbing.  Trust me, I believe I spoke with all who worked there because I had so many questions not ever having a tankless water heater before. The best thing they never pressured me...  I could go on about their service and their employees but instead I will just say.

James and Kyle were amazing!  Wow, I was blown away at how much they were able to accomplish for me in my limited time window. And they came out to my place so quickly for me!  

***They wore masks the whole time, wore shoe covers on my carpet, and were kind to my little kids.  Bravo .  Their work was clean, too.

Roddy and Vito performed impeccable customer service.  Roddy was engaged and upfront with the whole process installing our exterior light fixtures.  What's more impressive about Roddy is his execution with NEC code ensuring the safety of our family.  The work was extremely well thought out, light fixtures were installed professionally to align with the architectural features, and outstanding house keeping.  Additionally, he went above and beyond to check our electrical panel and provided insight for future work.  If you are reading this, stop what you are doing and hire Roddy and Vito.
