Triton Plumbing

One of our vanity sinks sprung a sudden leak so I had to find a plumber rather urgently. At the same time, I had been meaning to tweak three other toilets so I added that into a project request.  

Mark was the first to reply. He is both the owner and the technician (with an assistant) so naturally if he's on a job, he typically won't be able to reply, despite that fact, he's pretty responsive. It's also nice to know that you'll get who you talk to and who you negotiate with so there definitely isn't any lapse in communications.  

He fit me in within a day and diagnosed the issue within a few seconds! He's very transparent, provided options and worked very quickly. This all happened during the heavy rains - yet he still made sure he wasn't bringing in any mud from a previous job and brought booties to cover their shoes.

I definitely will call Mark at Triton Plumbing for future needs - including water heater replacement and/or kitchen sink disposals. Although he has commercial experience, his business is largely residential so if your needs are in the home, this will be a good fit.

Fantastic experience! Mark was very responsive, got back to me quickly and scheduled a same-day appointment to fix my busted main pipe. He was the only plumber that brought up possibly needing to dig around the pipe to align it to help prevent the same issue from cropping up again (turns out not needed) and helped replace the old valve as well. I have to stop trying to be so healthy........

I often eat egg whites for breakfast.  Usually about 5 or 6.  Low in calories, full of awesome protein.  Can't beat that!  Especially when I pan fry it in a little bit of olive oil and makes it have a little bit of crunch, which I love when it comes to egg whites.  The only problem with eating too much protein and not working out all the time is that I have a tendency to get constipated.  I'm sure you know where this is going.  Constipation..... review for a plumber........

Well, welcome to a little misdirection!  Actually, what I meant to say was with all those egg whites, the yolks have to go somewhere.  I usually just threw them down the drain.  I know, bad Jamie!  Well, unfortunately, I think all those egg yolks probably somehow contributed to a backed up kitchen sink.  Thankfully, Triton Plumbing was able to come to the rescue the next day.

The whole experience was painless.  With Yelp, I was able to request quotes with 4 different companies.  This was sent at midnight and Triton replied first at about 7 in the morning.  Two other ones replied later in the afternoon and one of them replied 2 days later!  Also to note, is that Triton was the cheapest.  With such a short notice, he wasn't able to come that morning, but was available that afternoon.  Unfortunately, I had to go into work, so he came early the next morning.  He was there promptly at 9am.

I'm not a plumbing expert, but I do know that the issue would probably be resolved with a quick snaking of the pipe.  He walked me thru what he was going to do and even while he was doing it.  He knew that it hadn't been snaked in awhile and judging by the movements of the snake and all the black water that was coming out, then I could easily agree.  He was done in about 15 mins or so.  He charged me $125, which was $25 cheaper than the rest.  There is also a 30-day guarantee just in case it backs up again.

A great experience and I would not hesitate to call him again if I had a plumbing issue.  Although, I hope I don't see him any time in the near future.  I am still going to eat healthy and eat egg whites for breakfast.  However, I'll dispose of the egg yolks a different way.  Like making flan or custard!  Mmmmmmm!!!!  Healthy eating is awesome!!

Mark is a true craftsman of the plumbing trade. He knows plumbing inside and out, is careful and creative in finding solutions to problems that arise and is a good communicator. He's my plumber of choice and thank you Mark for running your business with honesty and integrity.

Mark was on time and wearing a mask. He's knowledgeable, professional, and good-natured. Our old kitchen faucet was rusty and finally broke. We purchased a replacement and Mark had the old one removed, the sink area cleaned of some old putty, and the new one installed in a little over 30 minutes.

My husband discovered a leak in our water heater at around 9pm on a Monday night. I did a quick search on yelp and sent out a few quote requests. Mark responded at 9:20pm. In fact, he was the ONLY one who responded. He came over the next morning and was very professional and knowledgeable. We had a new water heater and our hot water running before the end of the day. He even fixed a leak in one of our bathroom showers. I cannot recommend Mark enough. You will not be disappointed by choosing Triton Plumbing!

Reasonable honest pricing. He gave me a choice for us to buy the toilet, or for Triton to purchase. I asked for a suggested brand and went with his suggestion. And I immediately scheduled a time.
We're given a 2 hour window of arrival, and was met with a courtesy call that he's on his way. And in less than 75 minutes; out with the old in with the new! FYI Mark hauled the old toilet away.

Seriously, their whole team (Mark in particular) was responsive, courteous, reasonably priced and incredibly helpful. Every other plumber I have worked with or called in the area felt like a scam compared to Triton. 100% would recommend.

Mark was amazing at responding to my emails and arrived on time for the job. We had a blocked kitchen sink which had to be snaked. Mark and Adrian treated my home with the utmost care, very careful in making sure nothing was damaged or any leaks after the work.

I have used Mark multiple times in the last couple of months.  During one of the repairs, Mark educated me about a retrofit recirculating pump that can be used to have almost constant hot water at the faucets. And he installed it for me the next week.

Mark responded quickly and was flexible with our scheduling since we needed him to come in after our new counter top installation. He did the installation/hookup for a new sink and disposal in the kitchen and a new sink in the bathroom. Quality work for a great price.

Mark is the man!!! No nonsense. Showed up early for an 8AM appointment. I had a couple of issues. Dishwasher wasn't draining and sink drain/pipes were leaking.
He was able to diagnose the issues quickly and got the dishwasher working after discovering the blockage.
He then moved on to replacing the drain basket and the drain pipes.  He was done before 9AM and fixed both issues.  Highly recommend and will call again the next time I have a plumbing problem.  Thanks Mark!!!!

There was a problem with the main water supply line at my parents' house. It happened late in the afternoon.  Mark was the first plumber to respond (within less than 5 min) of the 5 plumbers I had contacted.  He agreed to fit my parents in first thing next morning due to my parents' emergency situation.

Mark and Mike are courteous. They showed up on time the next morning, checked under the crawl space and all faucets (including faucets in the backyard), and quickly diagnosed the problem within 10 minutes after arrival.  They cut off the corroded galvanized iron pipe used for front yard irrigation from the main water supply line, added another new faucet for the front yard and quickly restored water supply to my parents' entire house.  They finished the job in less than 30 minutes.

Mark is very reasonable and practical and doesn't overdramatize or upsell. When the bathtub was leaking into our living room, I thought we'd have to cut open the drywall to find the leaky pipe. He came out and said we might just need to recaulk the bathtub. He left without charging us and said to call him if that didn't fix it. (It did).

He is skilled and has 40 years experience. He answers your calls right away, and comes to fix your problems right away. He spent a couple of hours here this morning replacing our broken water main valve. It could have gone badly (rush of water right into the garage until he got the building main off) or it could go well (no water rushing and no flood). He let us know, then did the job. The gods (ha) were on our side and it went just great.

I had a 2nd floor clogged toilet that leaked and I woke up one morning to discover the water had leaked through to the first floor. I called a couple of plumbers but it was early so had to leave a message. Triton Plumbing called me back within a few minutes and said their plumber was out on a job but would try to get to my place in the afternoon. 10 minutes later she called me back to say he finished up the other job sooner than expected and could come within an hour.

Mark was a godsend: showed up in the timeframe promised, unclogged it in record time, discovered why the toilet was leaking and fixed it in half an hour (had to rebuild the mechanism). There are 3 phone numbers I make sure I always have; my wife's, my parent's and Mark's (Triton Plumbing). Mark is one of the most honest, accurate and on time people I have ever met.

I met Mark as the third bid on an issue with our first home. It was a leak in our main that seemed to be under the driveway. Mark looked at it and had the right people and external resources to find the leak accurately. That allowed Mark to provide us a quote, even with the need for an external service to locate the underground leak, that was significantly less than the other bids we received. On top of that we didn't need to dig up our concrete driveway to fix the leak since Mark had a way of locating it accurately.

From that time on, whether its backed up pipes, installing a new sink in a garage, fixing slab leaks at the In-Laws or even taking care of small leaks in sink plumbing and a new toilet at the preschool, Mark is the person I call.

When our toilet, after numerous different attempts, refused to cooperate we called about 10 plumbers in hopes that one of them would be willing to come out on a Saturday night. 7 of them didn't answer, 1 was way too expensive, another charged by the hour, and then there was Mark. He stated over the phone he had a flat fee and could be over in 20 minutes. I went with Mark because of his sense of urgency and honesty. He arrived when he said he would. I was impressed with the fact that he was able to diagnose the problem within seconds. Mark and his office provided superb service.  I was able to text Mark pictures of the two things that needed fixing (a bathtub spout and a fill valve for a toilet).  He responded quickly with assessment.  He came on time and did BOTH jobs in less than an hour.  Even fixed my garden hose connection that was stuck.  Very professional and had many parts on hand in his van.  Great work.  Mark definitely knows his stuff and gave me recommendations on other plumbing work.

I've called Mark out twice to our rental house and he's been fantastic both times.  Quick, professional and he could have said things were more complicated than they were - I wouldn't have known the difference - but he didn't.  Both times turned out to be quick fixes that took him less than 30mins.  He charges a minimum of 1hr which is fair for his time coming out. We had an issue with water clogging on our Kitchen sink. Mark from Triton Plumbing was able to get to our home within 2 hours on weekend! He was able to give us a quote right away, after looking at the problem. He was very concerned about not dirtying our home, and was able to snake the drain to unclog it, and replace a broken washer in less than an hour.

A talented, no-nonsense plumber who wastes no time in getting the plumbing job done.  Mark was the tech lead at San Jose Plumbing for many years and has seen it all. Now in business for himself, I hired him for a job in installing a new kitchen sink faucet--a Delta Essa with Touch2O--that another plumber at Fifteen Dollar Sewer and Drain had balked for unknown reasons (complexity?). I was impressed at the ease and speed that Mark handled my installation. The man obviously knows his stuff and shows a great comfort level in tackling any problem. My tenant informed me that her tub was backing up with water. I assumed that it was an easy fix that I could clear myself, but as soon as I saw it I realized it was not a job that I could handle. I started calling around for a plumber (5:15pm on a Tuesday) and everyone was either booked solid for several days or had already stopped answering their phones for the evening. Thankfully I got San Jose Plumbing on the line and they referred me to Triton.

I called Mark, explained the issue, and he came RIGHT out! He was on his way to a big job that evening and said he could make room in his schedule for us. He was very friendly and helpful right off the bat. He immediately diagnosed the problem, explained why it happened and how to stave it off in the future. He then set to work clearing it by opening an external plumbing line and using an electric snake. The whole problem was taken care of in about 30 minutes.

We came home from vacation and found our kitchen and garage flooded due to leak of water tube to our fridge. It was late night and we contacted Triton Plumbing through Yelp. Owner Mark called me right away and gave me instructions on where to look for the shutoff valve. With Mark's help I stopped the water leak. Next day Mark came with his crew and installed permanent fix using copper tube (our original tube was plastic). Their work quality was excellent and they were very polite professional! Price was reasonable, it was a pleasant experience.

Mark is an honest man and a very good plumber. He will do quality work and will not rip you off.
My external water supply PVC pipe broke, I called Mark at 6.09 PM. Mark suggested me to wait till next day to save money as he has to charge for after-hours. But I cannot wait for next day.  Mark reached my house at 6.40 PM. Fixed it in a hour. His price was reasonable, the workmanship is excellent and a jovial person altogether. I'll call Mark again for any future plumbing needs.

We had an emergency with main water supply pipe broken in kitchen on Saturday evening.  Mark provided quick response, came up and fixed asap. Prices are reasonable too. He was explaining everything he did and provided handy tips too. We are very satisfied with his service and would recommended always.

I had a home clog. ALl of my toilets were not flushing fluidly. Mark did an amazing job. They quoted me very fairly, and got the problem resolved in 2 hours. They cleaned everything, and did everything carefully. Mark was very nice and respectful.

Woke up to 2 toilets plugged and coming up in shower on a Monday morning.  Called Mark at Triton Plumbing.  They came very quickly and were able to fix the problem within a few minutes!

Triton Plumbing (Mark) is as good as it gets when you have a plumbing issue.  Twice he has immediately run over to a rental property for me and fixed an urgent situation (backed up pipes in a shower, bath, and toilet).   He's honest, quick, and thorough.  He even explained to the renters dos and don'ts for maintaining clear lines in the future, so I didn't have to do it myself.  He will be my first call for any future plumbing repairs either at a rental or my own home.

I came home to water spouting in my backyard. The only thing I could do to stop it, was turn-off the water to the house. Our regular plumber told me they couldn't get out to fix it for four days, but they referred me to Mark at Triton Plumbing. He returned my call in minutes, and we were in text communication. He promised to be at my place in 20 minutes, and he was. Within another 20 minutes he had the problem fixed, the water was back on to the house, and I was happy to pay Mark's bill.

Mark managed to squeeze in our appointment today to help fix our water heater. He comes on time and you can tell he is very experienced and knowledgeable. He gives the best customer service and explain the usage of different parts. He also did a thorough cleanup and charge a very reasonable rate. Will use him again and recommend him to our neighbors and friends when needed.

Mark is awesome. My sink was stopped and not only was he more reasonable than other plumbers, he went into the drain 2 different ways to snake it. He spent a lot of time explaining possible problems that can arise so I can best avoid future problems. I will be hiring him again when I need to replace my water heater.

Made an appointment with Mark to install two new toilets, haul away the old and replace a faucet.  Mark's team were extremely careful not to make a mess, cleaned up afterwards such that you could not have known they were here, removed all the garbage and the work looks first rate.  Pricing was competitive and he did not seek to exploit the situation when we discovered on removing a toilet that a previous repair had been made incorrectly and required some additional work to fix it. Only wish I had found him earlier. Would recommend you call him.

Awesome service. Quick response. Spotted the issue right away in my kitchen drain fixed it and recommended replacing faucet. Did not charge for the visit and would combine with faucet install. Definitely recommend.

I just can't say enough good things about Triton Plumbing. I have used them 3 or 4 times for various plumbing needs and Mark always comes through for us with professional, high quality work. I recently had a hot water heater go out on me just before having a large party (lots of dishes to wash) and even though Mark was out of town, he contacted another plumber to do the work. How often do you get that type of service! It took all the stress off of me knowing who he got to do the work was going to show up and do it right! We had an emergency with the drain line from the kitchen sink to the main sewer line. The 90 degree pipe had broken off, right by the overflow.  We called Mark and scheduled an appointment with him. He came out earlier than scheduled, did a thorough check, gave us an estimate. He is very reasonable and knowledgeable. While he was working he found more problems with the pipe being cracked, hidden in the crawl space. Mark fixed all the cracked and broken pipes and did not charge us extra for the additional work. He is honest and we highly recommend him to anyone looking for a plumber.

I had a broken water main near the street and called Mark Taylor frantically for immediate service.  He was so responsive and came out as soon as he could!
He was referred to me by my friend, so I was a new customer to him.  He dug out landscape, moved a huge rock and repaired a line and put in new fittings, plus took on an additional job of snaking out a line to the city sewer. I'm going to use him for all my future plumbing needs.  He was responsibly priced, informative, and considerate.

I saw Mark's ad in our local Santa Clara newspaper, checked his Calif contractors license and called him to handle some plumbing issues.  He seemed very knowledgeable and he's very willing to explain things, if you are interested in details (I am!).  He is responsive, as the other reviewer pointed out.  I enjoyed his congenial personality - but most of all I was impressed with his knowledge level and competence.  I was glad I made the call.
