Hello, my name is Victoria Juarez Gil I am the mother of Anthony Juarez, the owner of Northstar plumbing and Drain. I wanted to inform all his customers of his death this past August 2020. My sons commitment to his customers was very important to him. I did not want my sons reputation, business name tarnished by  
lack of communication, why he hadn't returned phone calls, or completed jobs.

Look no further!!!  This company should be number 1 on Yelp for all who need plumbing services. If they're busy, be patient. They're worth the wait and has earned every bit of their overall 5 STAR rating.

I was in a panic seeing a flood underneath my home. My subfloor soaked and water creeping up my panel walls. I had a plumber come out that was too afraid to get dirty.  They gave me bad advice and left me more confused and stressed out.

Thank God I found Anthony!!!  He is amazing!!! He knows his stuff, gives no b.s. and does what he needs to do to get the job done. He went straight to work after a quick hello, found the busted pipe and fixed it in no time. He explained what needed to be done and gave useful advice.

His price is more than reasonable and fair.

Tried to call the phone number listed on Yelp, and got a robotic message that says At the subscriber's request, this phone does not accept incoming calls.  Can't hire them if you can't reach them.

Many text and phone call back and forth, sent pictures he asked, but nothing happen after 2 days. We asked again for quote and when he can come, then he said to us no rush in very rude manner.  That's enough!!
Found another plumber who is honest, accurate, reliable, friendly and professional. If he does not want to work for us, he should said so, then we did not waste our time.

I guess during the Thanksgiving weekend, there ended up being a lot of build up in the toilet so come along Monday, the toilet gets clogged, and the water won't go down. Around noon, I tried calling several, probably 5 or 6 plumbers, and Northstar was the only one that answered.

I spoke to Anthony, and there was a bit of a miscommunication so he quoted me for a much higher price than I was expecting. I decided to call around and see what the best price would be, and during my search, Anthony actually called me back to refer me to another plumber that was more fitted in my price range. I continued my search, but no luck. I had actually misunderstood Anthony and thought he would be able to reduce the price for me, but it turns it out I explained my situation more dramatically than it actually turned out to be. I decided to just go with Northstar since they were the only plumbers to respond to me.

Anthony was great to communicate with. He was very responsive through text and have me a heads up on when he was coming. The problem ended up being easily fixed, and the price ended up being to what I had expected.

I've worked with Anthony several times in the past.  He's done good work for me and so I've cut him some slack when he didn't respond right away once before.  This time, I reached out to him 4 days ago and still haven't heard back from him.  Not a hey, I'm really busy right now, you're better off finding someone else.  Not a, hey, I'm swamped.  Can I get back to you in another day or two?  Not even a hey, because of this Covid019 stuff, I'm not taking business right now.  Just... NOTHING from him!  I even tried reaching out to him again 3 days after my first contact attempt and still nothing. :-(

His phone voice mailbox is full (it's always been full).  His message says to just text him.  Texting him just leads to a black hole.  Sometimes, plumbing issues need to be dealt with right away.  If you're waiting for days for somebody to get back to you because you liked working with him, it would be good to know that he will get to you or he won't.  However, at this point, I'd say you're better off just passing on giving him a call.  Don't waste your time.  If he can't be bothered to return calls, he's not worth your business.

My review is now a 2.  If he didn't do good work, I'd give a 1 star because of how bad his customer service has gotten.  Truly sorry because he WAS very good, IMO.  I hope you get it together, Anthony.  You were top-notch.

Very disappointed. Anthony came to fix a plumbing issue several months ago, he had promised to provide a one year warranty on his service, but now the issue came back and he is nowhere to be found after trying to reach him for weeks through phone calls, messages, and emails. Not returning messages and not fulfulling a warranty is a pretty strong signal for an unreliable business. If it can't be delivered, why bother making a promise

5 out of 5 stars! Anthony is the consummate professional. He is attentive to emails, super professional, reasonably priced, very knowledgeable and the nicest guy. You simply cannot go wrong hiring him for your plumbing needs. He was also quick and focused as he arrived with his equipment and an assistant whom was also very nice and professional. I highly recommend Northstar Plumbing & Drain.

Availability:
On Saturday, I called. Anthony answered right away because that number goes straight to him. I think it's best if you text him, though, because at any moment he might have hands full of...stuff. In any case, he said he was free on Sat, but that I had to be home for them to be able to come. I called later on Sat, and he said it was too late. But he could come Monday if I couldn't find someone else. No BS, he knew I was gonna look for other people. I ended up scheduling Monday with him, because the other people I called were rude, and didn't want to deal with the snake my fiancé got stuck in the tub drain.

Pricing:
Anthony is very up front. He said, it could be $95, it could be $175, it could be $275. But he can't guarantee, so my expectations were set correctly. Once I told him about my fiancé getting he snake stuck, he said he might have to do it at $155/hr to go under the crawl space and cut the pipe. But he said he'd try to get it without cutting stuff open and keeping the price low.

Speed:
When I opened the door for Anthony and Victor, they were already looking down the drains in my yard, already at work. They introduced themselves and went into my bathroom got straight to work. They're like a fast and furious dynamic duo, except with drains. They took several turns trying to get the snake out. I laughed when I heard Anthony yell from the bathroom I'm a hero! As soon as that was out (and saved me money from having to get pipes cut), they went to work fixing the actual clog and suddenly, Anthony was on my roof, going to work on the drain from above. He told me they do it from the roof so that there isn't a mess everywhere. They got the kitchen clog out that way. Victor snaked from the tub with their own drill snake, and they eventually got it.

Education:
They told us everything we needed to know for the future:
1. Don't use Drain-o. It corrodes your pipes.
2. Use a snake.
3. If you're gonna get a snake stuck, call a professional.
4. Don't put too much stuff down your garbage disposal.

Cleanup:
They cleaned up. What? Awesome. I thought I would have to clean up the gross stuff that came up.

All in all, that was quick and painless. They're up front, quick, and don't BS around. In the end, I got charged $155 for their per hour rate. You know how you ask others, Hey do you have a plumber? Well, now I got one.

We had a leak in the bathroom which we tried to take care ourselves.  It didn't work out, so we called Anthony for a service.  He asked for a picture and immediately pointed us to the right parts, and suggested us to give it another try.  He said if it still didn't work, he would come to fix.  We realized that we got the wrong parts earlier.  With the new parts he showed, we were able to fix the leak ourselves successfully.  We are very pleased with Anthony's knowledge and professionalism.  We will definitely come back to Northstar for future services.  Highly recommend their service!

My Puronics water softening system needed some adjustment, which Puronics simply says that they charge $1000 for reconnection no matter what the problem is.

Antony came to the rescue. He stopped by, looked at the system and told me it was a very simply fix. He solved the problem and left without charging me. What a nice guy! And a great plumber who is knowledgeable about water purification systems.

My kitchen sink got clogged while prepping dinner and we tried to do a baking soda bomb that didn't work. At 10pm, I requested quotes on Yelp with 4 different vendors. Anthony was the first one who could give me a quote right away and told me he could come the next morning. I was impressed. All the other vendors wanted me to make an appt for a free estimate. I like knowing approx right away.

Upon arrival, he gave me his business card and put on booties. Totally appreciate the booties.  

After inspecting the issue with sink clog only on the garbage disposal side, he figured that he would not have to snake my entire pipeline and found the blockage in the p-trap. Therefore, I ended up paying only half price of the quote.

Professional, friendly, honest, and super fast response time. I'm so glad I found a vendor I could contact in the future. Anytime I have plumbing issues, it stresses me out because good service oriented and TRUSTED folks are hard to find.

Thanks again Anthony for taking this stress off of me.

I had a leak near my water meter. SJW left me a notice that there was a leak. I called them and asked if they were going to fix the leak, but since the meter was spinning, it meant the leak was on my property and to go pound sand. Well not those words, but it was my responsibility. I called around several plumbers on yelp, but all were booked for the next 5 days. In the meantime, the leak is still going and meter is spinning.

When I called Northstar, they were busy too, but Victor on the phone told if the project was small and I could send pictures of the leak to the owner's cell phone he might be able to fit me in. Since the leak was just a fitting inside the box near the street, it was a quick fix. After a few pictures texts, I received call back quickly and he mentioned he would be able to help same day! Awesome! They arrived within a couple of hours as promised and got the leak fixed for a very reasonable price. Service was excellent and professional Thanks Northstar!

Scheduled with with Anthony over phone. He was clear upfront and gave the price over the phone. I had garbage disposal that needs replacing, sink was leaking, shower head leaking, and tub was clogged. Anthony said he can fix all of them. He did come a different day because of a mistake but everything was fixed in the end. He came on time and got to work ASAP.

I actually tried calling other plumbers who were not as professional and clear over the phone and and said they couldn't do certain things.

I will keep his number just in case I need I need further plumbing.

These guys are awesome!

I recently had some sort of blockage in my drainage. When I ran the upstairs shower, the toilet downstairs began to bubble, and we eventually lost the ability to properly flush. I called my home warranty company, who sent out a plumber who snaked the line, but was unable to clear the issue. They then sent out a second plumber to run a hydro jet. He told me everything was fixed (it was not). He ran a camera through the pipes and discover that my line exited my house toward the backyard until turning 180 degrees back towards the street. Not only did he not fix the problem, he quoted me nearly $10k to reroute and replace all the piping under my house!!!

Enter Anthony with Northstar. Based on his reviews and our phone call, he struck me as someone who really wanted to fix the problem, rather than earn the maximum payday. He was responsive and set up a time to come over.

When he arrived with his coworker, they got straight to work, climbing into my crawlspace to figure out how to attack the problem. They found a second cleanout toward the backyard and used it to flush out a simple blockage (How did the other plumbers not find this???). This ended up costing less than 5% of the other guys' estimate and was done within an hour!!!!

So happy I found Anthony and Northstar Plumbing. In a world where finding someone who you can trust is so difficult, this was really a welcome experience.

I recently had plumbing issues due to my very curious and very quick two year old son. Some how he managed to flush the splash guard of his potty down the actual toilet - sure enough it clogged. I tried Northstar because of the high reviews. To be honest, I called 3 places and Anthony was the first to get back to me. I was pleasantly surprised that he would be able to come out to my place so so quickly.

They snaked the toilet and all was good . . . until two days later when it clogged again. Anthony and crew came over immediately and snaked it again with no charge to me. Again, I was thankful that he was able to come so quickly and work very efficiently. He gave me some options since we were never able to retrieve the object.

And that would be the end of the review had the toilet not clogged again, so this time they needed to remove the toilet to try and get the object. Each time I appreciated the fast response, the clear communication, the quickness of the the visit, and the honesty pf pricing. This last time, they worked VERY hard to get that darn thing out . . . . lets just say things got messy and (with two kiddos in the house) I could not thank them enough for their professionalism, their willingness to stay later than expected to be certain the issue was resolved, and for helping to restore the bathroom back to normal.

The 5 star rating is truly reflective of this work. I cannot thank them enough for helping us out and I would definitely recommend using Northstar Plumbing to anyone who needs it.

I was sending out quote requests for my toilets leaking problem. The person who responded was up front with me saying it's an easy problem to fix, and it would be unfair to me to pay for full service having them come and fix it. The person even provided detailed instructions on how I can fix it myself via message! This is exactly the business that solves your problem and saves you money!!! Highly recommend!!!

Anthony did a great job of  diagnosing, planning and estimating over the phone and text. We communicated using pictures. He gave suggestions on the parts we needed since our mixer unit has been discontinued. Once we had the parts, Anthony and his uncle came and install them very quickly and professionally. They are very neat and tidy and completed the work then departed. Here we are two weeks later, completely satisfied and enjoying our new shower. We highly recommend Northstar Plumbing and Anthony!

Actually, the work was not bad... A fridge line, a sewer pipe repair. They all work fine

But the third piece of work... The main valve Anthony changed... That thing 'exploded' the first time he did it, and made a mess at my little front yard... the second try to fix it, still kept leaking... Been leaking for two months. The reason is that Anthony is never responsive. We scheduled the repair once and he tried to change it in the last minute. That never happened.

Dude, either don't bother doing it or if you do it, you have to own it.

Also, he was supposed to give me an invoice with some specific information since I have to get reimbursed. He could not manage to do it. He kept sending it to wrong email addresses with wrong names on it. How difficult can it be?!

I spent more than four or five hours trying to reach out to that guy. Resisted my urge to write this negative review.

What a mess.

Anthony, if you decide to own your work and come fix this thing, I am ready to change this review. Until then, you got a one-star.

Thanks to Yelp we nailed our first experience with a plumber! Anthony was beyond great-he was straightforward, helpful, & was able to help us out right away! As newbie homeowners we didn't know what to expect in terms of cost and plumbing issues but he explained everything and gave us options. I loved that he didnt charge to check what was happening. I ended up only paying $200 for him to install a new toilet (bought the toilet on my own at Lowe's) because the old toilet had something stuck and he couldn't get it out. I hope I won't be needing any more plumbing expertise/help but if I do, I will only be calling this place!

I messaged Anthony about a shower drain issue and had a response within an hour. I messaged him on a Sunday night and he made it out by the end of the next day even though we weren't close and our path muddled with traffic at that time of day.

He stopped by and was able to have our issue fixed within 30 minutes, and had time leftover to bond with our dog for a few minutes. It was a pleasurable experience and I would have no hesitation calling him back for future jobs.

I called Anthony and he arrived the day after. Anthony arrived spot on time, diagnosed and fix the problem very quickly.

We hired them for whole house water filter. They did a great job and lowest price we were able to find among others.  They came back and fixed the leaking next day and since then , the filters works fine. I think they're very professional and people oriented.  They are recommended

I had a broken copper pipe that feed out of the stucco wall outside our house that attached to a garden faucet.  Because of that, I had to shut off the water supply to my entire house. Went to Yelp and posted a bid.  Anthony was the first to respond and provided a very reasonable quote after one photo exchange of the broken pipe.  He came out the next morning to weld the pipe, replace the faucet, and patch up the stucco.  Anthony is definitely the top plumber on my list.

I contacted three highly-rated plumbers on Yelp to replace my rusted main water supply pipes along with the shutoff valves and pressure regulator. Anthony replied promptly to my initial inquiry and multiple followup questions. I like that his bid split out labor and parts as two separate amounts. I decided to go ahead and have Anthony do the work.

Scheduling the job was easy via text. And I couldn't be happier with the final result.

It was so nice to watch Anthony and the other gentleman work efficiently to remove the old original 30 year old pipes and replace it with new pipes, valves and a pressure regulator. They even polished the old cooper pipe to match the new one and now that area is no longer an eye sore in my front yard. Before and after pictures are attached.

We used this provider for our water heater repair. I am not sure how they have 5 star yelp reviews. My interaction with them was quite unpleasant. The repair work itself was ok, but their communication and overall demeanor were a deal killer. I would not call them again, and can't recommend them to others.

I called them right when they opened at 8am, and was promised 20 minute arrival time. I did not hear back anything until 9am. I had to leave for work, and left them text messages and tried to call. When there was no response,  I left for office. I finally got a call at 10am, and was labeled as an unprofessional customer because I wasn't at home to honor our appointment. This went on for a while and instead of apologizing for not answering my messages for 2 hours, he was blaming me for not being home. Thankfully my wife was able to accommodate him. However, even her interactions during the repair work were unpleasant.

Overall, I wasn't satisfied with my experience.

Living in a (now) 60 year old house for the last 20 years, I know plumbing issues well.  And I've had at least 10 plumbers do work for me over the years.  I've come to REALLY appreciate  knowledgeable plumbers.  Experience is priceless in this realm of home ownership.

Anthony and Victor were just superstars.  They know their stuff, have the experience to zone in to the problem and how to handle it.  I had a sewer drain clog.  They cut through tree roots inside the pipe, and ran a camera through to verify their observations.  They are my new go-to plumber.   Professional, quick response, resourceful, work fast, good use of technology for receipt of payment and warranty info.  They warranty their work for one year.

They turned a bummer situation into a happy ending.  Thanks Anthony and Victor!

WOW !!!  All I can say is wowwww!!! Anthony was amazing and his prices were so reasonable. I contacted four other companies and his was by far the best quote. He was quick and efficient, and he didn't even damage the tile to repair the leaky shower head!!!! I would highly recommend Northstar plumbing to anyone !!!

Our kitchen sink was clogged.  We called Anthony because I was almost ready to quit. I had been trying to fix it for a few days. It's an old house, so everything I tried caused something else to break and I had to fix that first. Our backyard began to smell like a swamp from whatever belched out our cleanout. And I had squeezed under the house so many times that I started chilling under there longer and longer because I was too tired to crawl out. It didn't help that both my kids wanted to help.

So I was ready to throw in the towel and I asked my wife to call a plumber. Anthony was the first and only plumber to call us back (on Memorial Day). We sent him a drawing of our pipes and the problem, and he insisted that we could fix it ourselves. He said all we needed was a 40' snake from Home Depot. He said if he came out it would be at least $175. We argued and said but it's blocked here and it's stuck there and we tried this and that and such... and he said something like TRUST ME all you need is a snake I'm 1000% sure that will fix it and hung up.

I thought how rude, but FINE! Renewed by his conviction, I went to Home Depot and looked for the longest snake. I could only find a 25' one and it cost $25. I couldn't find a longer one like Anthony recommended, but based on my measurements while I was under the house, 25' should be juuuust enough to reach the blockage. And sonofabitch Anthony was right. The snake snagged the blockage, I freaked out when it got stuck, chugged my beer, tugged, and POP my pipe was clear.

So I'm writing to say thanks Anthony. Thanks for your honesty and helping us fix the problem and saving a couple hundred bucks.

My water heater had broken down, so I called Anthony at Northstar to come check it out. He responded immediately asking for pictures of the unit, and was at my house to fix the issue as soon as possible. In fact, he was at my house before I was, and him and his colleague were courteous enough to wait the 30 min for me to get home, which I really appreciated.

It turned out that I needed a very specific part for my heater (left hand thread thermocouple) which they couldn't get. Anthony was very apologetic and did not charge me for coming out. I told him I'd see if I could find the part, and he followed up with me the next day to see if I had any luck. When I finally got the part a few days later, Anthony contacted me to see if I was free as he was in the area, and the part was installed within the hour.

Very happy with the responsiveness and helpfulness of Northstar Plumbing. Highly recommended for any issue you have.

There is something about Anthony's service lately because if you scroll through the reviews you'll see some peppered in with my same exact experience. Basically, Anthony made an appointment, didn't show up, didn't call, and didn't pick up his phone or respond to texts after. Very disappointing!

I woke up this morning to the unpleasant news that the upstairs bathroom was clogged.  I don't want to go into the gory details but let's just say trying to unclog the toilet resulted in stuff coming out of the bathroom tub.  

I called a few places and they all said that to fix this scenario would require them to remove the toilet so that the snake could reach further down to clear the plumbing, which is a service that they do not offer.  One of them said over the phone they provide this service but when they arrived, the plumber said they don't (Shame on you $15 sewer n drain).  None of them would be willing to deal with this shit until I came across Northstar plumbing.  They said have the skills and the machinery to take off the toilet and save the day.  

I had the house cleaners over so I was really hoping to have a plumber over before they left.  I told Anthony I needed this ASAP.  He showed up promptly and was a lifesaver.  His team of two did the job quickly and was able to unclog the plumbing through the tub drain rather than taking off the toilet.  Even through they quoted me the price to take off the toilet (which I would have happily paid to fix this shit), he actually charged me a lower price since it didn't require removing the toilet.  Talk about putting the customer's interests first.  Way to go guys.  

Services they do are warrantied for a year which is great in case this shit happens again.    

Oh there's also some good news and bad news.  Good news is that they fixed it quickly before the house cleaners were finished cleaning the house.  Bad news is that the house cleaners  had help with clean up on aisle deus.

I had an emergency with a water heater on mother's day. I called Anthony and he showed up within 20 minutes. He was able to replace my water heater the next morning. In addition, he fixed my shower head for free.

More recently, I had a water leak caused by a reverse osmosis system. I was able to stop the leak by shutting down the valve. Anthony was able to get it fixed within 48 hours of my call, and he had the cheapest price by a good margin vs several others that I called who couldn't even commit to a price and gave an extremely large range.

I highly recommend Anthony without hesitation.

They are awesome !!!!
We hired them twice, once for our kids bathroom and our bathroom         ( parents' bathroom).Anthony and Victor fixed the faucets of the kids bathtub and fixed the faucet of one of our sink too. they were very efficient - that was last year.

This year, I had to replace the fridge and because  of that, as I discover later,  we had also to replace the shut-off valve that was not working .
I messaged them on Friday afternoon and got an answer the same day. Anthony came over on Sunday and replace the valve.Problem fixed!!

Anthony is super professional,very nice and extremely knowledgeable  they are very reasonably priced and they won't try to overcharge you for things you don't need.

If you are looking for a great plumber, Anthony is the right person.

Anthony's customer service is A++++. He arrived promptly at the jobsite when he said he would. He priced everything fairly and he's easy to deal with.

He removed an old rusty gate valve at my water main and replaced it with a nice ball valve as well as some other jobs around the house. Everything is working nicely and I wouldn't hesitate to call Anthony up in the future for my plumbing needs.

Count me as another satisfied customer.

The clues: Bathroom sinks making a gurgle, Garbage disposal on creates backup in mud room sink, it only means one thing...  Main Line backup!  Thankfully we found Northstar from my fellow Yelper gave gave rave reviews for their clean out service.  

Have to admit that a quick phone call with a clear statement of the problem resulted in Anthony stopping by 2 hours later.  He gave us the quotes up front.  Accessed the main drain line, stuck 75 feet of coil down the main line cut out (the sewer pipe that runs the length of the house).  The sink gurgles stopped, but the mud room sink was still clogged so he did another clean out this time going through the roof vent and snaking his coil until we hit the big clog hair/grease clog (tips to avoid for next time - don't dump grease down the sink, keep hair catchers on your shower, filter your laundry drain pipe).

In all a lot of heavy work was done and our sinks are all happy again.  Total for 1.5 hours of work and 2 drain clean outs with 3 reels of coil came to $225.  Grateful to Anthony for his great demeanor, quick service, 90 day warranty and fair pricing!

Anthony answered the phone when I called, understood what I wanted to have done, told me his next available appointment (in 2 days) and appointment windows (I chose 9-1) and had me text him my details.

The evening before he texted to confirm, asked if 8 or 8:30 would be okay. I said 8:30

Anthony and his Employee of the Month™ (I didn't catch his name) arrived at 8:15, got to work right away. They quickly determined that my ADA toilet, which had been installed a year ago, had been mounted off-center, and the wax ring was blocking the flow. They cleared the clog and re-installed the toilet the right way, tested it and it works fine.

Also had a bathroom faucet which was only producing a trickle, I was afraid it was a poorly installed pipe under the house, but they found it was just the aerator had 3 screens instead of the usual 1, and those were all clogged, Fixed that and now the pressure is excellent.

They cleaned up after themselves, and were done before 9 am.

Good people, easy to communicate with, and proud of doing a good job and saving needless work and expenses. Very reasonable price with a 6-month guarantee.

Very happy with our experience!  Anthony and his assistant were punctual, prepared and very kind to my uncle who was at the house since I had to work.  They replaced our old broken water heater and left the area clean and looking great!  Quality work.

Anthony and his associate are very professional.  They came at the scheduled time and identified the problem right away.  I had the worst smell coming from my washer machine and after having another plumber come, they could not diagnose the problem.  Anthony knew what to do right away.  My washer machine doesn't smell anymore and he even unclogged my other sinks for me.

Great guy.  Very professional and would highly recommend.

**Bad Customer Service**
I called Anthony on Saturday 9/24 and got a voicemail that I could leave a text msg. I texted with my address, details of the water leaks and photos.
I called again and left another text message on Monday & Tuesday (9/27). Still no response.
I was very disappointed. This is unacceptable customer service. At least have the courtesy to call or text. I would NEVER recommend this company!

I called Anthony because an outside pipe was leaking --making a LAKE leaking. He had me text him pictures and the service address. He told me he was on a current job, but that he would call me within 4 hours. He called sooner (YAY!) and replaced an old crumby pipe. He also threw in fixing the leaky toilet I had (double YAY!).

He is coming next week to fix my ice maker :)

He was super nice, super quick, and he explained everything well.

Anthony and his crew are awesome! I got emergency of clogged sewer and he replied to my call/text and was able to schedule to come over the next day. Not prepared for the serious root problem under the toilet, Anthony and his crew spent much more time and effort to remove the toilet and snake out all the roots in the sewer with very reasonable extra charge which I'm happy to pay. He had 1 year warranty on his work and I use it the next day as the ball of roots got pushed down and caught with friends further down the drain. They came again the next day and fixed it free of charge! I'll recommend him to everyone.

Anthony and Joe came by as promised this morning and helped us with a few nagging issues:
1) snaked a couple slow shower and bath drains that had 7 years of hair buildup :)
2) fixing a faucet that hasn't been used since buying the home brand new due to a clogged aerator which the builder couldn't fix even when I had them look at the issue.
3) unclogged two bathroom sinks
4) re-tightened some pipes I found to be poorly installed by the builder when I recently replaced my garbage disposal.

Charged me a flat hour rate (which is how little time it took) because Anthony and Joe were highly efficient. No BS, very honest and put on booties right before entering our home

Would recommend Northstar to all of my friends and use them for all of my plumbing needs in the future.

I replaced our shower faucets myself, but one was leaking, so I called Northstar Plumbing and Drain. Anthony and Vic were able to come later that same day. They fixed the leak (had nothing to do with my fix, there was a gasket that was not sealing well) at a really reasonable price.

What I liked most about Anthony and Vic was the fact that dealing with them was kind of just dealing with a friend. They just tell you what's going on and they don't sugar-coat anything. They seem very honest, hardworking, and reliable. They will be my go-to guys for other plumbing work, primarily because I feel I can trust them.

Anthony from Northstar Plumbing is amazing! He really knows plumbing and communicates very well. His prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend them!

I have had an ongoing problem with a partial main drain that gets blocked. The first time he came out he cleared it, then told me what I could do to clear it if it happened again, so I wouldn't have to call a plumber. Yesterday he came out because it was blocked and I couldn't clear it. It took Anthony and his assistant multiple different attempts to fix it. He didn't charge me because it was under warranty.

After fixing the problem, Anthony offered me two choices. He told me another method I could use to clear the problem in the future, or he could come back later to go under the house to try and determine what is causing this to happen. I will definitely have him come back to see if we can stop this from recurring.

Prompt, courteous service. I called Anthony to fix a shower that wouldn't stop running and he was able to pick up parts and do a cartridge replacement within 2 hours of initial contact. They also have 1-year warranty on their service, gave me tips for future shower fixes, and reassured me that I could text/call him with plumbing questions anytime.

Found my exterior water pipe to the garden hose was leaking so I called these guys up for a fix. Anthony is pretty responsive to inquiries but they do get a lot of jobs, so call in advance if you can.

That being said, the service is excellent. Anthony and his partner came in took a look at the leak and explained the situation and the required fixes. He was very patient with me and very easy to work with. It was a relatively simple fix and they stayed around to make sure the problem was fixed. All in all took about an hour to fix and verify. Prices are reasonable and was very easy to work with and very friendly. Will call again if I run into future issues.

On a Saturday morning, we noticed a leak from our water main pipe where it entered our house.  Anthony from Northstar Plumbing contacted us within the hour and came by later in the day to assess the situation.
He went into the crawl space below the house (brave man!) and found the source of the leak.  After picking up replacement parts, he put in a new valve and an additional faucet head.  We appreciate that he came out on a Saturday and fixed this the same day.  Highly recommend Northstar Plumbing and Drain!

This is the 2nd time I have asked for help from Anthony. Both times he has delivered.
He fixed the kitchen drain problem. He even went further almost 40 feet to make sure there are no other issure along the line. After he was done, he gave the house back as it was when he came in.

The reviews about Anthony are right on; he is the plumber you are looking for. I had originally hired another plumber to replace two spigots connected to my washing machine which had frozen open, and replace my bathroom faucet and kitchen sink faucet. I had been quoted $250 per faucet before by another, larger firm. I was not happy about their price, but was desperate. They didn't show up after dragging out my appointment time, so I cancelled and booked Anthony instead. He was very busy, but managed to work with my timetable. Anthony's rates are the *MOST* reasonable of any plumber I spoke with, and he knew his business. He and his coworker came in and proceeded to do a whirlwind of fast, efficient plumbing. These guys are experts. I will never hire anyone else but Anthony and Northstar Plumbing again. Thanks so much, Northstar! I will definitely be back.

Anthony and his crew are the best. I have hired plumbers before, but none have provided such great service.

I called around noon, they made it to my place a couple hours later. I told them that both my upstairs and downstairs toilets were leaking from the bottom when flushed.

They quoted me $175 ahead of time which was the best quote I received. I got a text when they were on their way, then literally 5-10 minutes later I got a text indicating that the problem was fixed and he didn't think it was fair to charge me because it literally took 5 minutes to fix.

WTF!!!! When was the last time anyone has done that? Not never, but this guy did. I have to say that this is one of the greatest experiences I've ever had from any vendor on yelp.

This company truly deserves the 5 star rating.

Anthony contacted me only after I wrote a review on yelp and offered me a free of charge for a small task to apologize. However, I don't think I trust him to do any work around my house anymore. He even said it in his reply to this review 20 minutes for $350 is probably what neurosurgeons get paid. Yes, you are not a neurosurgeon. Why did you charge me $350 for 20 minutes work again? I have your email receipt clearly stated the amount of charge was $350 and we will return return within 4 weeks time to follow up

I had a few plumbing issues piling up at home, and found Northstar Plumbing on Yelp.  

The best things about Northstar Plumbing:
- Anthony and Giovanni were really friendly and easy to talk to.  I was hesitant to call them at first, but when I met them, I felt really comfortable.
- They were honest and patiently explained to me the issues I had in detail.  They also told me about other issues they found that I might need to fix in the future.
- They worked very efficiently
- I could communicate with Anthony through text messaging.  He did a good job getting back to me.
- Even though they give a time window, their 30 minute courtesy call was enough for me to take care of other things and get home in time to greet them.

I will definitely have them back again.

When you call they never answer the phone, the message is full. He ask if he is not answering send him a text. he never respond to two text messages I send. Is this a real business? Even one star is too many. I am very disappointed.

Northstar has emailed me and politely apologized for not responding accordingly. As a customer and a Yelp user I appreciate the company's good, professional manners and the customer care. When I received the email I already hired a licensed plumber. Wish Northstar well and the best of luck.

I've had such a good experience with Northstar Plumbing.

my problems started two weeks ago when i had a sewage blockage. I called another plumber (happy rooters)  and they came by to snake the drain, however when they arrived even without looking or snaking the drain yet, he said that snaking wouldn't help in the long run and wanted to charge me $1200 to redo the clean out. i asked happy rooter to snake it anyways since it's the first time i had this problem and it worked for about a week. When I called them again about the same blockage, they wouldn't warranty their job! they wanted to charge me an additional $150 to temporarily fix the issue again. They blamed me for the issues since i didn't pay $1200 last time. nonetheless i left them a negative review since they told me not to contact them anymore.

So this morning at 9:30AM I called Northstar plumbing to come by and look at the issue since I was tired of dealing with the other plumber. Anthony was able to come by @ 10:30AM looked at the drain, told me not to worry and that he'll be able to fix it. He snaked it and told me that the other plumber didn't snake it correctly, Anthony pulled out a bunch of thing that was clogging the pipes. that's when i realized that the other plumber was just trying to set me up for the $1200 job. not only did Northstar solve my issues, they offered a 3 month warranty for the job!

Complete satisfaction!  

Anthony came out the same day I called, even though it was not an emergency.  Our toilet had been backing up, requiring plunging with every flush.  He and his assistant looked at the sewer line with a camera then used a rotating blade to clean out the sewer line all the way to the back of the house.  He also threw in a clean out of the bath drain (hair) and garbage disposal (food) for us.  

Anthony is not a licensed plumber but says he works under the supervision of one.  Total cost: $175 with a 3 month warranty--cash or check only.  

We had thought the problem was tree roots, but it was kitchen grease!  Big surprise, as I cook vegetarian, so very rarely send grease down the disposal!  From now on it's grease in a can and into the trash just like Mom used to do.

My husband called to schedule an appointment to get the leak under our kitchen sink fixed. Victor was extremely helpful from the start.

Based on the details and pictures we gave him, victor was able to diagnose the problem and instruct us how to fix it ourselves. He explained that he was happy to come out to do the repair, but that we could likely do this ourselves and save our money. What excellent service.

We were able to fix the leak, thanks to Victor's sound, honest advice. Thank you!

Lastly, the quote to come out and do the repair was cheaper than others we received.

We will definitely be calling back with any future plumbing needs.

I had an urgent issue with a stopped up drain and I called Northstar. The phone was picked up right away, and Anthony was able to show up to my property within a couple of hours. He handled the problem quickly and professionally, and explained the situation and made me aware of the one year guarantee on the service. All in all, I was impressed and glad that I made the right call.  I would definitely call them again when I need plumbing work done.

First of all, it is TOUGH to get any plumber to respond or agree to come out to help (I contacted a few).  They must be in high demand!  I'm sure the ones that have higher reviews on Yelp can be picky about which jobs they choose.  I messaged Northstar via Yelp to get a quote, and then called to make the appointment (recommend calling or else you'll play email/messaging tag forever).  Anthony came out the same day, squeezing me in which I much appreciated!  

He did a thorough and great job repairing both the toilet leak and bath diverter issues.  Nice guy, honest, friendly and reasonably priced.  Anthony's really looking to take care of his customers, and it really shows in his work.  Highly recommend!

We had a blockage in our kitchen sink and Northstar Plumbing and Draining came to the rescue. Anthony, the proprietor, was quick to respond to my call and dispatch Joe, his colleague.

Joe and Anthony were extremely professional and responsive. They took the time to explain the situation and the potential methods of correction.

One thing I really appreciated was being able to text them and have our recent emailed. Makes for a more convenient transaction. I will keep these plumbers at the front of my rolodex.

Courteous and professional.  Rate seemed reasonable because I had called another place and they told me they billed hourly plus materials and they gave me their rate.  He quotes a flat amount, which made me wary, but when he was done, it was very reasonable given the rates the other place quoted per hour compared to how long the job took.  He was willing to work late/after dark so we could get our water on sooner.  The other guys couldn't fit me in for another four days.  

One of my kids is an engineer at heart and likes working on cars and stuff with her dad.  Anthony was kind about showing her what he was doing and even letting her shovel dirt back in so that she felt like she helped.  Little thing but a huge deal to her!

Very happy with the service provided here.  I called in the late afternoon and was told that someone would be able to come out the next day at 9 am.  The price was in our price range so I said ok.  The next morning he texted me and said he could come earlier if that was ok with me, so I agreed.  He was on time, came in and fixed the problem in 5 minutes.  We had someone from a different company look at the problem the day before and he told us he couldn't fix it because he needed more tools, thus the reason why I called Northstar.  I'm sorry but I forgot the name of the person that came out as it's been over a week now.  I will definitely be using this company again and recommending him to others.

We called Anthony to fix a leaking shower and clogged pipe.  He came out the same day, after hours, to fix our problems.  He was able to diagnose and fix the leaking shower with minimal intrusion into the wall.  He was also able to fix the clogged water pipe; a problem that other plumbers had failed to solve.  It is nice to have cold water for our sink, finally.

Anthony was prompt, professional and reasonable.  Thank you Anthony for your assistance in fixing our plumbing problems.  We will definitely use Anthony's services again if any plumbing issues arise.

My shower & toilet were backing up which told me it was my main line.  
I called Anthony at Northstar Plumbing & Drain who gave me a flat rate and said he could come out the same day - yay!  This made me very happy since I really like to shower at least once a day, not to mention the other problem.

Anthony and another plumber showed up as promised, they had to snake it from the roof because for some reason my house doesn't have a clean out, meanwhile it got dark outside but they stayed and got the job done.  Anthony also gave me a very reasonable estimate on installing a clean out to the exterior of my house to which he would deduct the cost of the snaking the main line he just did!

I am very happy with the work,price and appreciate Anthony's honesty and not trying to sell me on work I didn't need.

I called Anthony based on Yelp ratings and thank you Yelpers for your insight!  He and his assistant Reuben just left after diagnosing and fixing a sewer problem for us.  We actually had another local company out yesterday and they tried to snake our line but kept hitting something.  They thought our sewer pipe was broken.  They went offsite to get another piece of equipment to snake again and still could not get past the blockage.

So we woke up today thinking that we probably had a broken sewer pipe but did not know how to proceed.  Do we pick axe our 30 plus foot long concrete driveway without knowing?  Do we pay a company $750 to try to clear the blockage with high pressure water (and THEN pick axe the driveway anyway?)

When I called Anthony, he had some questions that only hubby could answer, so Anthony spoke to hubby at work and they decided that he should run his camera down the pipe and tell us what he thought our issue was.  This was a good solution for us, since Anthony does not do sewer line replacement and we knew he would be unbiased, and not try to sell us something we did not need.  

A few hours later Anthony arrived.  He too was unable to get past the blockage.  But he just did not give up.  He kept snaking again and again because he thought he SHOULD be able to clear it.  And he did----HOORAY----eventually.  Turns out we don't have a broken line, we have a p-trap that the camera could not negotiate.  (A longtime neighbor with knowledge of our clean out situation was able to help fill in the pieces of what was going on with our line).  

Still--Anthony just persevered and would not take no for an answer.  He got water running through the pipe again without it backing up, and turned a job we feared would cost thousands into a job that cost a few hundred.    If you have a plumbing problem, call Anthony.  He doesn't wear the costume but he is a superhero.

Victor came to our home to install a new faucet set in one of our bathrooms.  We had a pedestal sink so it was a tough squeeze.  But Victor saw it through to the end and made everything fit, and the faucet has found its new home in our bathroom.  He also gave us some tips and information about our water softener, as that was causing some problems in our house.  This company has a ton of 5 star reviews and I guess we're just adding on the heap, but in this case it is well worth it.  We wouldn't hesitate to call them again for any plumbing issues we have.

I highly recommend Anthony at Northstar Plumbing and Drain.

Anthony replaced a leaking faucet at the kitchen sink in my home. He then carefully checked for any other possible leaks in the general area, this included pulling out the built-in dishwasher to make sure there were no hidden leaks behind or below the machine. In addition, he also installed a new hand-held showerhead in the bathroom. He was polite, worked professionally and quickly, and the cost was reasonable.

I had a water main leak, the meter was tickin' off faster than a pinwheel in a hurricane. My drought tolerance told me I must shut off main line water valve immediately. Ack! no water! Now what?

I called Northstar Plumbing & Drain right away,  a little before 7pm. When Anthony found out I didn't have water he made it a priority and was on site within the hour. He plugged in the flood lights and he and his employee (Joe) proceeded to repair the leaky pipe.   Both worked until the water line was repaired and only then did they call it a night.  Excellent service and fair pricing. Highly recommended!

Anthony is a conscientious and friendly plumber, who is attentive to detail, professional, and a creative problem solver. He fixed problems in my sink drain that other plumbers in the area would have tackled in a less thoughtful way and therefore would have cost me more money. We had a leaky water meter pipe (pipe was underneath the lawn) and Anthony from Northstar Plumbing came out the same day to give us an estimate. Since the estimate seemed very reasonable, we hired him on the spot.

Anthony ended up doing the job quicker that he quoted, and after he was done, it looked like our lawn hadn't even been touched. Given the amount of lawn he had dug up, I thought for certain that our lawn wouldn't look quite the same. But that wasn't the case! He put everything back nice and neat.

Would definitely contact Northstar Plumbing again if we had future plumbing needs. He's a very hard-working guy!

If you need any plumbing needs, you are in luck and found it. No need to find anyone else. I'm very impressed with the workmanship and professionalism of this company. Anthony and assistant were very responsive and were able to replace my kitchen faucet and fix the drain pipes for a very reasonable price. They even came immediately! I supplied the faucet and supply hoses, but I bought the wrong size hoses and they just went ahead and drove to the nearest hardware store and bought the correct ones. No fuzz, just excellent customer service. I highly recommend this company. There is a reason they have so many good reviews on Yelp. Five stars all the way!

This guy was AWESOME! I yelped messaged him at 10:30PM because I had poop backing up in my bathtubs. Within minutes he had written back that he could be there the next day between 9:30-10am. He tells me call the city tonight, they'll snake their end of it and he'll do the rest in the morning. Next, He texts me at 8:15 saying he's on his way and was at my house at 8:35. Took him about an hour to sort everything out and even told me how to drain if it happens again so poop doesnt overflow into the house. Reasonably priced, and totally professional. Thank you!!!

I worked with Anthony for a plumbing emergency. Anthony basically helped me turn a very unfortunate situation into a positive experience! One evening, while taking shower, my toilet started bubbling. Afterwards, everything went downhill. The bathtub started flooding, and nothing went down in my toilet, which can be quite disgusting as you can imagine...or don't imagine it period! In any case, the very next morning, I was looking for someone to help me solve this quickly. Anthony took my call very early in the morning (7 AM) and quickly arrived at my home to fix the plumbing. He is absolutely professional, polite, and extremely knowledgeable as well. If it not were for this incident, I would not have met my plumber-of-choice! Our pipes backed up this week.  After a quick Yelp search, we called Northstar Plumbing.  Anthony answered and let us know that he could arrive in an hour.  He was super friendly and immediately provided a flat bid for the work based on my description of the problem.  He arrived on time with his partner and cleared our line within 30 minutes.  Could not have asked for a better experience... especially when earlier in the day we were dealing with black water entering the house through our showers!

Anthony was honest, diligent, and reliable.  We spoke on Monday regarding the blockage in my main sewer line.  We agreed that Wednesday was a mutually convenient day for him and his team to come out.  He arrived when he said he was going to arrive, charged me a reasonable price, did a fantastic job, and gave me a one year warranty.  I have not had customer service like that in A VERY LONG TIME.

Called a few companies to install a new garbage disposal and kitchen faucet. Anthony was very prompt in returning my call and giving me a quote, which was reasonable. He came out promptly and installed the appliances. I also asked him to try and figure out the cause of a bad smell we've been having in the kitchen and laundry room area. He offered to go down in the crawl space and see if anything was obvious. Sure enough, he found a sewer leak and some mold, which we'll have to address. He gave me a recommendation of a company that does that type of work that he highly recommends, so I'm happy to have somebody to call that's been recommended. I wouldn't hesitate to call Northstar Plumbing again for any plumbing needs.

As of this review there are 77 5-star rating for Anthony. In fact, that's why I gave him a call when I had urgent sewer issue in my home. He was professional, great communicator and honest. After the initial sewer issue we scheduled a follow-up overall inspection of plumbing system in my home. But, unfortunately Anthony couldn't make if for health reasons. He was prompt in letting me know that's couldn't make it. And, when he finally could come out to inspect, he was as thorough as one could be. In fact, as he was with me in both occasions his phone was nonstop with his previous clients calling him for his service. He is a busy man, that's for sure. And I can surely recommend him for anyone looking for sewer or plumbing concerns. I know I am keeping his number saved in my phone book.

My bathtub faucet was leaking constantly for a couple days, so I decided to hop onto yelp and send a few inquires out to get it fixed.  Anthony was the first to contact me back.  I spoke with him over the phone explained my situation and sent a picture of the cartridge inside the pipe that I had opened up and he exactly which cartridge it was and had it in stock.

He was able to come over the next morning.  Anthony arrived around the scheduled time, handed me his business card, put on his booties on and went to work.  He was in and out of the house in under 30 minutes and did great job!  Thank you again for being professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and prompt.  I'll be sure to use him and recommend him to friends for any other plumbing needs.

5 stars!  We hired Anthony to unclog a shower drain.  We were thinking it was going to be an easy snake job but after working on it, discovered the clog was further down the line. He ended up having to get on our roof, using a much more powerful tool, to power-clear the clog.  His work ethic, professionalism, tenacity and manner were highly appreciated.  We definitely recommend Northstar Plumbing!

Anthony came to my house to save the day.  We had poop in the bathtub and in the back shower and toilets wouldn't flush.

I went up myself that morning to attempt a DIY drain clear with no luck.  I knew with a good plumber and a good snake, the job would be done right.  He was in and out in about a half an hour.  Communication with me was outstanding via text.

I'd call em again in a heartbeat.

Thank you for a thorough clean and fix of the toilet wax ring. Victor came by even after business hours when it was easier for me. He explained the job in details but without overwhelming me with technical terms. After he has fixed the wax ring, he left the job site very clean and tidy. My house had a huge water leak and we had no idea where it was coming from, so I needed to find a good and reliable plumber. I went on Yelp and called a couple plumbers and left voicemails, but Northstar Plumbing returned my phone call first. Just 30 minutes after, Anthony came to my rescue! They couldn't find the leak at first, but they said they'd return as soon as possible to fix our water pipes. After fixing the leak, they gave us advice on how we could take care of our water pipes so it wouldn't happen again. They even scheduled another appointment to check up on our water pipes in the future!

I was absolutely blown away by how prompt, efficient, and great these guys were. I'm so glad I chose Northstar Plumbing. I probably won't need to call their services because of how well they fixed our water pipes, but if I ever did need a plumber, I wouldn't hesitate to call them again. Thank you Anthony Juarez!

The word Woohoo! as good as it gets and SOME, fits Anthony and his partner Victor.  Anthony came through for me!
I needed help fast due to every which way plumping was clogged.  Anthony came to my rescue fitting me in his tight schedule, they worked through the late evening.  They discovered my Clay 4' sewer had fractured, they had it replaced with a ABS 4 section and installed a cleanout, giving me a 2 year warranty of blockages on main sewer from outside cleanout.  

Watching these two men work as they took turns digging up dirt, to cutting through some tree stumps they were fast and thorough; performed with great care and completeness.  They had great arm strength and efficiency as they worked it through as well as time spent to do the job.  Anthony explained thoroughly to me the cause of the problem to how the sewers get clogged, to allowing me to watch.  Seeing the sewer fractured and what came out, was amazing! Roots developed looking like a tree branch, the size of half an arm.  Wow! I certainly learned something how little root stems can be destructive. His price was great! I gave them $50.00 each tip.  I sincerely was satisfied and I certainly would call Anthony again and keep him for life as my plumber.  

My description of Anthony & Victor's line of expertise with performance and character is Respectful, Efficient/Hard Workers, Thorough/knowledgeable, Honest, Faithful, Timely, warm and welcoming.

These guys are ON POINT! I was having a shower drain clog issue and I tried fixing it on my own but to no avail. I found Northstar Plumbing and read some multiple positive reviews and contacted Anthony.  Mind you, this was 9pm, way past closing hours and Anthony got back to me almost immediately. We shared a few texts and scheduled a visit the next morning. I was called by Victor and he showed up 30 minutes after his call. He came in, handled the clog like a pro and cleared my problem. All within 15 minutes or so. And their work is guaranteed for 1 year, Highly recommend Northstar as they'll be my go-to for future plumbing issues (hopefully not).. Lol.. Anthony, the owner, came within an hour after I called today. The problem we ran into was leaking on the water pipe between house and meter. He fixed it within 30 mins.

After searching Yelp I found Northstar Plumbing and decided to call them out to handle my backed-up line.  Usually I am a little skeptical when people have so many 5 star reviews so I went through their reviews and profiles and decided they had some legit feedback.

FIRST Visit- Anthony and Sammy came out to look at the problem.  They quoted me over the phone and kept that price.  No crazy mark ups and additional costs etc. like most plumbers.  They snaked the problem out and it seemed to clear the clog but Anthony wanted to make sure he did his job correctly by using his camera to go all the way out to the main line and sewer.  Unfortunately this is my parents' house and I am somewhat familiar with their pipes, clean out etc. but not completely.  Like I said the line was cleared but I felt horrible as he was not able to do the job as he wanted. Since the line seemed cleared I was satisfied and thanked them for their work.

SECOND Visit- Ahhh...my line clogged again within a week and I had to call Anthony and Sammy back out again. Anthony said no problem and came right out but this time he was going to be meeting with my mother who owns the home. I was only there for the 2nd part of this job and upon arrival I could see Anthony's frustration with my mother. My parents are wonderful people but they are very untrustworthy and skeptical of contractors.  I can tell she was working these guys! I greeted him and pieced together what was going on and where they were at with this situation.  These guys had the clean outs opened, the snake, the camera, they went under the house to inspect even further etc. until they got to the source of the problem!  And the culprit... Baby Wipes!   I have 3 kids here and 2 nieces who frequently visit so I'm sure that sums up how the wipes got flushed.  

Look these guys spent about 2-3 hours on this second visit and 1 hour on the first, that's 3-4 hours total and never charged me more than the original quote due to their guarantee! In my opinion this job should have cost a bit more being that it was time consuming and challenging due to the small original piping.  I know they would have handled the job the first time had I been a little more knowledgeable about the home and it's piping.  

To sum it up these guys are:

Trustworthy

My mother told me how hard these guys worked and recognized that she was a difficult customer and would not have blamed these guys if they walked away BUT they did not.  NOW she completely trust them and is planning on recommending them to her family and friends as I would.   She is also going to go with Northstar for some re-piping that she needs to take care of , coming from her that says A LOT about these guys!

This review was well deserved and  If we ever need a plumber,  Northstar will be who we call.  THANK YOU GUYS and I appreciate all that you did!

I called Northstar this morning at 8:15 with a backed up main sewer line.  Victor answered my call, came out less than two hours later and cleared the line.  He was informative and gave us advice on how to maintain the line and what we need to do to address our root intrusion for the future. Anthony replaced my outside water shutoff valve - job well done, everybody happy.
But I needed to replace it because I had a leaking toilet shutoff valve which I thought I can replace myself. Turned out I was wrong: I did replace the valve Friday afternoon. Everything looked good first - but by 7pm I noticed water dripping from ac vent. A leak!

Anthony showed up Friday 8pm (on one hour notice) and saved the day again.

My water heater broke down on Thanksgiving Day. Turned out my heater was a power vent heater which was not only much more expensive but really hard to find.

I called as many places as I can find. None rivaled my interaction with Anthony. He texted me asking for pictures of the existing heater to make sure he can do the work. He then provided me with a quote on labor. When I couldn't get hold of a power vent heater on Saturday, he drove to the store to pick one up right away. He and Victor were very friendly and professional, and made the installation process go by rather fast. Highly recommended!

I recently had my bathroom sinks clogged. I found my friend's friend (a plumber). He worked for almost two hours and told me the problem was so big that it may take me over $1000 to solve the issue. I came home from work and found that I had no hot water. My water heater is less than 4 years old but it's a GE Model # PG38T09AXK00 and apparently the first thing that goes is the thermocouple which requires a pilot assembly replacement kit PN SP20789
After calling over a dozen various plumbers in the bay area, Home Depot, Sears and GE themselves, I found Anthony.  Not only did he have the part, he said he could replace it immediately so I packed my things up at the office and headed home. Naturally he beat me but was not upset nor did he make me feel bad for being late. He had my water heater working in less than 10 minutes, charged a reasonable rate and was on his way. Minutes later my invoice was emailed to me and I can take a hot shower now! I could not have had a better experience.  Quick, efficient, reasonable rates and nice. You can't beat that in a plumber.

These guys are great. They did a wonderful job fixing 2 different drains at our property. One that had a full break at the T joint in the wall and the other that they needed to break out part of an exterior wall to fix. I will definitely call them back if I have any other plumbing problems!

I had Anthony out to fix a wax seal on a toilet that was leaking under the house every flush. He did it quickly (~10 min) but still charged $155, which is reasonable for a plumber but seemed steep for the amount of work involved. I should have shopped around.

A few months later, my water heater was leaking so I contacted Anthony. He said he didn't have a work truck available but tried to sell me a water heater anyway. What? Ended up going through Home Depot for a new one.

Last night, a galvanized pipe cracked open in the backyard (old irrigation line we aren't using) and we managed to get a repair kit before OSH closed and patched it ourselves (fiberglass fabric patch kit), but our main water shutoff valve started leaking after getting turned off and on again a bunch. We needed a plumber out today to fix that leak and do a proper fix for the corroded pipe. Anthony didn't even respond. I contacted 2 other companies, who both got back to me first thing in the morning. Marty at Water Quality Plumbing came out for a free inspection and fixed the leaky main shutoff valve for free (a nut needed tightening). He gave me an estimate to do a real fix in the backyard, and I have another plumber coming out for a 2nd estimate later this afternoon. Anthony still hasn't even responded to me about my issues (corroded/cracked pipe in my backyard, leaky main water shutoff valve).

I'm sure if you can get ahold of him, he does good work, but he's been flaky 2/3 times I've tried to hire him. Fool me twice...I've found new plumbers to work with going forward.

I have been having problems with my plumbing for awhile now. I ended up buying a snake and every few months or so I would have to use it to clear the pipes up. Finally, I was fed up and decided to call professionals to see if there was a bigger problem.

I found Northstar Plumbing on Yelp and were impressed by their reviews. I called them and they were at my house within 30 minutes.

They worked on two pipes by using a powerful snake to clear them up. My favorite part was them diagnosing the problem with a camera. It was pretty neat to see what was going on in there. Lo and behold, there were roots growing in my pipe from a huge tree I had out front. It's pretty common and I'll just have to maintain it yearly. They cut through it and told me to poor down root killers to help slow down the growth.

I was surprised at their professionalism and hard work of nearly two hours for only $165. Even at one point, Anthony climbed down a manhole to retrieve something. Now that's dedication!

I would definitely recommend them to anyone and I'll be calling them next time I have another plumbing problem.

In a word - Awesome!  Water heater broke - pilot light sparked, but would not light.  Called the number listed on yelp and was given Anthony's (the owner) number. Called Anthony and he answered. Quickly assessed that it was probably the thermocoupler.  He said he'd make time to come by to help us avoid another day of cold showers. Anthony and his assistant (name?) showed with the part, replaced it and voila!  The team could not have been more polite, efficient and economical. And, Anthony even texted to make sure everything was still okay with the water heater in the evening. I wish every household repair would go this easy.  Thanks Anthony!!!!

After discovering that parts of our kitchen drain had corroded away, I called Northstar.  I was told that they wouldn't be able to fix it until the next day, given an approximate price and told they would be out the next morning.  

They called about 20 minutes before arriving and let me know what was happening all along the repair.

Signs of a clogged sewer line lead us to a search for a professional help! Thanks to yelp, my sister and I found Northstar Plumbing & Drain and I didn't hesitate on calling them in order to get the problem fixed as soon as possible.

I contacted this company at 8 PM and spoke to Anthony about the problem. I assumed that it was roots in the sewer line that was causing the clog and he took my appointment at a time that was convenient to me.

Anthony and his colleague showed up at our house on time the next day and quickly set up their tools and wires to see what was causing the clog. Just as we suspected it was the roots. They were able to remove the roots in a timely manner! Anthony and his colleague were very professional the entire time. They arrived on time and got the job done! His service is also warrantied for 90 days, which is a plus!

I'd recommend their professional service to anyone with the same problem!

I called Northstar on a Sunday about a drain issue with my laundry. I tried to snake the drain myself, but didn't get the clog... They were all booked that day, but had an opening on Monday. It wasn't an emergency and since the reviews here were so good and Anthony sounded like such a nice guy over the phone, I thought I'd give it a shot. They were actually running ahead of schedule on Monday and called to see if they could come by early. It was a nice surprise.

Sam and Anthony were done with the job in about 30 minutes and everything is running great now. I am very pleased with them and I felt like it was a reasonable price for their time, expertise and labor. They snaked the drain from the roof --  I had no idea that was a thing -- so I learned something as well and they were happy to talk to me about the details.

They're a great team and I'd call them again in the future.... But fingers crossed that I won't need to. :)

Now i know why these guys have all these 5 star reviews - honesty.

Called up Anthony about a leak reported by my tenants at my townhouse where they said water was leaking out of the dry wall under the bathroom sick. Anthony was able to make a visit AFTER normal hours (6PM) to take a look. He cut a hole in the suspected wall and checked everything possible but found no signs of leaks anywhere. Ran additional tests by running the water and multiple flushes, but still nothing. Gave me a call after he was done and explained that he couldn't make it leak again, so naturally i asked what i owed him for his time and trouble. Anthony said that it would be no charge since there was nothing to fix during his trip. Now THAT is the best example of honesty i can think of!

If I or my tenants ever encounter another leak, Anthony will be the only call i make.

We had a clogged sink for about two weeks and had completely exhausted the drano option. Called last minute and we had Anthony at our door half hour after we called! Anthony and Victor came by today to fix an old water main valve and a leaky bathroom faucet.  I texted them at 7:15am and they were at my house by 8am.  They quoted me $400.  When they got here I told them I was watching YouTube videos and was going to replace the cartridge myself, but the busted water main prevented my DIY experiment.  They said, if you want to save $200, you should give it a try and we'll be here to answer any questions.  WHAT?  

While they worked on the main, they gave me the cartridge and I went to work.  I had a couple questions and they were quick to offer advice.  Freaking amazing!!

I found my plumber for life... so if you're looking for a couple awesome guys to help you out.  I'd highly recommend giving them a call.

I am not surprised to see that this company comes up first on searches for the words honest plumber. I called them to fix a pipe that had an annoying leak and since it was a really quick fix they charge me only a fraction of what any other plumbing company would have charged me. I had sewer blockage due to damage/disconnect on sewer piple.  Anthony was able to get a reasonable quote compared to other vendors and come out get job done in a few days.
Clean work and updated me with photos and videos.

I have been contacting to Northstar plumbing for  3 days now.  I Called more than 6-8 time in 3 days period. I was patient because understanding getting 5 stars in yelp must be good therefore very busy!   No one ever pick up the phone.  The problem is I couldn't leave any voicemails because the voice mail is full.  They text me back saying they can help but when I text back right a way to get appointment no reply!   I don't understand why this type of customer service and responsiveness got 5 stars in yelp!

Kitchen drain backed up on Sunday. Sent a request for quote through Yelp and received a response within 20 minutes. Anthony and I worked out the details and was given a flat rate over email and text. He was able to come out first thing Monday morning. His professionalism was top-notch. He was able to clear the blockage and to add he gave me a 1-year warranty on any future blockage. I normally try and do things myself due to all the horror stories you hear about contractors, etc. In this case Anthony went above and beyond, than just clearing my drain. I had also a cracked pipe which since he had the part through it in as part of the deal. I now know who to call in case of any further plumbing issues.

Anthony and another member or his team came to the rescue of our clogged toilet. They took less than 15 mins from when we hung up to get to our house! Anthony took the time to educate us on our Sh*t-uation and showed us exactly what they were fixing every step of the way. It's rare to have such an honest team of plumber. Oh they also put on these pretty cool shoes cover to keep from getting our wood floor from getting dirty. They also went above and beyond the call of duty to clean up afterwards. I would rate this the best plumber team ever! I would highly recommend Northstar Plumbing & Drain.

These guys are so good at what they do! I'm blown away. Anthony came in, quickly diagnosed my bathtub water backup problem. He then told me how much I'll be charged exactly. He had to go on my roof because I don't have a clean out. But within 10 minutes my bathtub was clear! His work carries one year guarantee as well!

I called another yelp 5 star company before calling him. They wouldn't come out and fix it unless I have a clean out. I didn't even know what a clean out was and turns out I don't have one either. I really appreciate how Anthony would go above and beyond to fix my sewage backup. Shame on those other companies who'd only pick the easy jobs.

Wow, I haven't actually written a Yelp review yet, but Anthony definitely deserves one so here goes...

We had a backed up sewer pipe one day and sewer water was seeping into our bathroom and hallway. As you can imagine, we were freaking out - definitely a huge issue. I went on Yelp and found Anthony's company and decided to call him because of all the great reviews. He told me he would be there in a few hours and sure enough after a few hours he came by to help.

Anthony came in and started working, he instantly figured out our sewer pipes were backed up (we didn't know at the time) and he showed us step by step how he was planning on fixing the issues. He walked us through how it happened and how to avoid it in the future. In 30 minutes, Anthony and his team finished up and left.

He even came back to fix a clogged shower a few days later and did charge me ANYTHING.

I've never had an experience like this before... Anthony went above and beyond what my expectations were. He was an honest, reliable, and knowledgeable. I'd definitely call him to help again.

Based on all the great reviews I wasn't surprised but I was happy that I also had a great experience. I had a classic kitchen sink clog and by the next day I was ready to give up on my home remedies and call a professional. Thank god for Yelp. :)

I've had my rooter services over the years I'm afraid to say but Northstar stands out. I called Anthony and clearly caught him en route to another job but he even in transit he figured out the probable issue based on what I told him and went out of his way to squeeze me. He showed up right on time and was completely professional, courteous, and most importantly he knows his stuff! In no time I was in good shape and charged just as agreed.

I hope I don't have to call him again but if I ever have another problem I wouldn't hesitate.

They are LIFE SAVERS!

Recently I had a clogged kitchen sink. The water drains very slowly in the sink. I tried to snake it myself but it seemed to only made things worse. Then it wouldn't even drain at all. We first tried another highly rated plumber on Yelp. They came and ran a 50ft snake through the vent on the roof (we couldn't find the cleanout to the kitchen sink). However, it did not resolve the problem. The kitchen sink was still clogged. They opened up the pipe under the sink and inspected. The conclusion was that it was grease that clogged the pipe and we needed to get specialist to use either hydro-jet or grease cutter to get the job done. It sounded like a quite expensive job. The good thing was that they didn't charge us.

We then contacted Northstar Plumbing. 2 Hours later, Anthony and Victor were at our door. The also ran a snake through the same vent but the snake is apparently bigger and more powerful. In a short while, magic happened. The water drained in the kitchen sink. They asked me to run hot water to the sink for a while and also mix some soap in to make sure the grease are cleaned off.

The charge was reasonable (155 for the job) and they also provide 1 yr of warranty.
Whoever got drain clogs should try them if other plumbers don't work. Or better yet, try them first, they are affordable and reliable!

We had a backed up kitchen sink, and the dirty dishes were piling up even as I insisted that I would fix it. The wife was optimistic but began to look skeptical after I ran my entire 25 foot manual auger into the pipe and was still unable to clear the clog.

It was time to admit defeat. I reluctantly launched the Yelp app on my DINC and made a short list of plumbers to call. One place with good reviews quoted me nearly $150 even after a 20% discount for first time customers. Something told me I could do better than that, so I called the next plumbers on my list - Northstar.

Anthony answered right away and assured me that he'd handle it for $95 just like it says on the Yelp special, but I began preparing myself for extras that the other plumber had mentioned since our kitchen sink is in an island.

Sam and Anthony showed up on time (thank you!) and within 20 minutes they cleared my clogged line, engaged in conversation, gave me pointers on DIY plumbing... and EARNED THEIR FIVE STARS the good old fashioned way - by giving great service at a great price - no extras!

I would not hesitate to call Northstar again and highly recommend them to anyone in need of plumbing services.

Anthony saved me yesterday. He was booked, but gave me advice and encouragement over the phone on how to fix the leak myself. I'd started a faucet repair, but I had reached the limit of my know how. Setting up the first appointment was quick and easy, and the price was the best deal I found for snaking two drains in the same bathroom.  Service was efficient and Anthony was detailed in his explanations for any questions we had.  He also made an effort to leave the area clean before he left, and took off his shoes without being asked, which was nice for a no-shoes-in-the-house house.

The following week, I had a non-urgent issue with the washer/garbage disposal area, and he gave a good deal on coming back out.  It took a few weeks of back and forth emails to confirm a date and time that worked for both of us, but that was probably because the issue wasn't urgent.  If it had been urgent, I'm confident that Anthony would have fixed it as soon as he could.  

Lastly, most of the communication was done over text  messages, which costs me money every time, so I tried to switch to email.  That caused the response times on both sides to be significantly slower.  For those who like texts, it would work well because Anthony keeps you posted often!  If you don't want texts, let him know early!

These guys are great. I thought I was going to have to replace my entire sewer line, which would have cost thousands of dollars. But Anthony and his team were able to promptly fix the issue, and let me tell you it was quite the awful issue! Anthony came back twice, and only charged me once the issue was fixed. Called them to fix water heater.

Answered the call right away and got to my house within 2 hours.

Patiently explained what to do to get replacement for my GE water heater that started to leak only after 4 years of purchase.

I followed their instructions and got GE to approve the replacement.

Next morning they came over, uninstalled my old water heater, took it to Home Depot, got a new one, brought it back and installed it in about 30min.....

It's nice to have a hot water again!

Well, I am impressed with these guys also...

When I had a broken toilet valve nearly flood my bathroom in Morgan Hill at 8 o'clock at night, I called Northstar solely based on what I read here on Yelp.    Sam answered the phone and told me they were in Redwood City and would be down ASAP.  Well, they arrived down to Morgan Hill a LOT faster than I expected; less than an hour.  They were able to not only stop the leak, but also install the new toilet value and line without any problem.

The bill with parts came to just over $200, and I was quite pleased with the way they handled my job.  In the past I have dealt with many bad plumbing guys who would charge an arm and leg for after hours service, but not Northstar.  They were very professional, curteous, and FAST!

I will not hesitate to also call them for a toilet replcement when the time comes.  They have earned my future business.

Sam and Anthony were great.  I recommend them wholeheartedly.

The water main coming into my building (commercial project) was leaking quite badly.  The two handymen who were working on my premises tried to fix it but made the problem worse.

It was a Sunday afternoon so I looked at Craigslist listings.  For whatever reason, among the hundreds of listings I chose this service, expecting to pay an arm and a leg for weekend work.

They quoted me $200 plus parts.  I accepted their quote and as it turned out, both of them had to work 4-5 hours that evening, well into darkness.  It turned out to be a messy job.

It remained messy and unfixed until Monday morning, when they needed to return again.  They spent a few more hours and fixed the problem.

I felt badly that they made so little on my job but a deal is a deal.  

Today, another leak formed.  (The job showed continued complications, like a crimp deeper inside the building pipe.)  They came right out and fixed it, 3 hours later.

They were always a pleasure to deal with, punctual, and kept their word.  They are good guys, with families to support, trying to grow their business.

I reached out to Anthony on Thursday to replace my 50 gallon water heater after reading really good reviews of Northstar Plumbing on Yelp. He asked me to send him pictures of my Water Heater and I had a quote via text immediately. He said he was not available on Thursday itself but he could come over on Friday.

Anthony and his co-worker Victor came by on Friday to replace the water heater that was heavily leaking. They did an awesome job! Within 1 hour and a half, they had completed the job. Anthony was nice enough to clean up the faucet drain of our bathroom and also to check our garbage disposal, without charging us. At the end of the job, he spent enough time with me explaining how to work and maintain the water heater.

I would highly recommend Anthony.

I called Anthony because I needed to replace a leaky water heater. I told him there was no rush, but he came and installed the replacement the same day! Six hours from the first call to a new water heater. Amazing.

The new water heater was taller than the old one, which he hadn't expected, and which required him to do extra work to get the flue set up and all the pipes connected. He didn't charge me for any of the extra work, saying it was his error. And he and his partner did a great job. I would definitely hire him again.

They assessed the faucet installation job well, identified the problems causing water leaks under our sink and gave us honest and valuable advice on how to fix it. Our front water pipe leak out of nowhere.. it was my 1st time dealing with it, and i am pretty nervous donno whats the cost and damage. Called around couple guys and noone call back, i texted Anthony and he responded within 30 mins

When he came out, accessed the problem, gave me 2 reasonable prices to repair or replace the whole pipe. Anthony is pretty knowledgeable and  confident about his work that i didn't need to get 2nd estimate

Anthony squeezed me in earlier than promised and worked hard on my shower drain. He showed me helpful techniques and provided great explanations about how the entire plumbing ties together to aid future troubleshooting/tepair. Ultimately, he could only partially improve draining, and explained that it required new, updated pipes which also allowed future snaking/access. His estimate was fair, but I'll simply address it with my remodel soon.

This drain has always been a problem, and thanks to these guys, now I know why. The difference is that Anthony CHARGED ME NOTHING, saying he really didn't fix it completely. He and his partner came out and worked very hard for over an hour and charged me nothing! As if my old pipe configuration was their fault.

That type of service is far superior, and much appreciated when compared to most home service providers.

Rarely do I get all the way to 5 stars, but Anthony deserves it.  He was reliable, on-time, does what he says without any BS or sugarcoating, gets to work fast, and gets to work hard.  

Someone drove into my main pipe going into the house, bending the pipe 90 deg and sending water rushing out.  (Apparently, this was in the wee hours of the morning, and the dude just left the water running until someone noticed hours later - nice guy.)  So the job requires a new spigot, some new piping and a new valve to replace the one that disappeared.  Anthony tried to help me diagnose the problem on the phone before I contracted him.  (To be fair, I was still clueless after his instructions).  After getting several quotes, Anthony's quote was one of the most reasonable.  I was worried that I might get a shoddy job to get the low bid, but I was reassured by all the Yelp reviews.  

And after watching him work, I know why that's the case.  Anthony got done in a little over an hour what other plumbers quoted me as a half-day job.  And it wasn't that he cut any corners.  He was just non-stop and fast once the job started.  He's now my go-to guy for all my house's plumbing needs.

Funny guy! I had a pipe in my backyard that I accidentally cracked open while digging. Anyway, it was a straightforward job. Anthony bought the flex-hoses from home-depot and did a good job fixing the problem. I cannot say he was cheap (@$120 for 1.5 hours), but I liked his attitude and approach. I will recommend Anthony for certain.

Fantastic service. We had a severely clogged toilet and called Anthony. He quickly answered my call and even tried to solve the problem on the phone (fantastic). He finally asked me to call him back and setup an appointment. Was co-ordinating with me over text on when he should come and arrived RIGHT ON TIME as expected. He then went back to get a machine that was necessary to solve the clog and spent a significant amount of time trying to unclog the toilet.
He didn't leave any stone unturned and I could tell that he took pride in his work and wouldn't leave a job unfinished or half done. He stayed and worked on the problem until it was thoroughly solved. Eventually it turned out that we had a bad toilet, and he recommended that we get a new one. Technically, the toilet was flushing fine but given how committed he was to get it working perfectly, he continued to test and finally recommended that I get a new toilet. He also mentioned that he could help me choose the right one (no cost). I'm very impressed with how professional Anthony was and would highly recommend his service every time.

These guys are the real deal. Very easy to work with, excellent to work with. I have rendered their services for three times now and I am happy to have them back for whatever issues come up. First was drain clog in bathroom which was taken care of in a jiffy. Next time called for replacing shower knob and was done well. The third time was a charm indeed as suddenly kitchen disposal unit didn't work thereby having to call them urgently. Even though they were busy, they quickly dropped by to replace the disposal and get the kitchen sink up and running fine.

As everyone else has stated, Anthony and his team are great. They just came out this morning on less than a 24 hour notice to fix a leak in our shower and we used his services just a few weeks back when we had a underground leak outside our home. He also installed a shut off valve which came in handy last night with our bathroom leak. Anthony is very responsive on the phone and via text. His prices are also fair. What more is there to say? This week we had a clogged drain with main pipe. Other companies came, cannot resolve the issue.

Today we called Anthony. After two hour, Anthony came to our house.
We like to say Anthony is a very experienced and professional person.
His explain is very clear, and gave us several suggestions.

We accepted Anthony's suggestion. Then Anthony and Victor started the
inspection first with the camera. When the inspection was finished,  
Anthony told us where the clog position was, and he can help us to clean the clog now.

Anthony and Victor have good experience and good tools, they did very good job.

Great work.  I've had them come out twice in the past 3 years for different problems and they've handled both jobs professionally and honestly.  I have an old (1903) house with cast iron pipes and clean outs in the basement.  For most small problems, clogs, traps, etc. I do the work myself.  But for more complicated issues, or those that need bigger machinery I call on professionals.

I've worked with bad plumbers in the past.  Guys who only want to do quick easy work and charge you high prices for it.  This is a totally different experience.  The jobs they've come out for have been tough to get at deep clogs- which is time consuming, hard work.  But they've stuck to their original quotes, been very pleasant to work with, and proven to be masters at their craft.  I'll continue to use them for tough jobs and recommend them to family and friends.

The instant hot water dispenser in my kitchen was leaking and flooded under the sink.  I shut off the water and left a message for Northstar plumbing on Saturday morning.  I should have just tried to find a different plumber, but the Yelp reviews were so positive I decided to wait for them to respond.  Today is Wednesday and I never got a call back.  Even if the job was too small or too far, a courtesy call-back would have been appreciated.

We all are afraid to talk to contractors, fearing they would take advantage of us. Anthony was different. When my wife called him to take a look at our water heater, he walked though the diagnostic on the phone, instead of coming in and charging you an arm for it. He later advised us to look up the youtube video to fix the thermocoupler ourselves.

Since our water heater was close to its life expectancy, we asked Anthony if he could replace it for us. He made sure that we called other plumbers first before settling with him. He was okay if we went with other contractors for a cheaper price. We decided to work with him in the end. The installation was quick and painless. The good things out of this are that we will enjoy hot shower for a while, and we have found a good plumber we like.

I'm so happy that I've found plumbers whom I can trust! I feel that I owe Northstar a review.

Recently I suspected my water pressure was extremely high. Sensing the severity, I looked up Yelp and found Northstar. Anthony advised to buy a water pressure gauge from OSH to test it out first. Within days, he showed up with Giovanni on time and replaced my water valve within 2 hours with a rate that was much lower than what my neighbor paid for the same issue (with a different plumber). In the meantime, I asked him about toilet valve, and Giovanni taught me how to replace it (in fact, he did all the work) as a complimentary service. After they left, I found that my backyard faucet was dripping. While I was blaming myself why I didn't see that while they were here so I could seek their advice, they came back days later after I called them and fixed it within minutes, free of charge.

Had Antony and Victor to fix a broken water main several weeks ago. They worked at night and get things fixed enough so that we could have water and came back to complete the work later.

They were straightforward with the flat fee for the job, diligent and kept their words - they had to leave after initial inspection to complete another job before returning to my place that evening.

Anthony was excellent in his service. We would have frequent main drain blockages due to tree roots growing into our sewer. Our regular plumber would just remove the blockage every time without fixing the problem. Anthony inspected the entire drain pipe up to the main sewer line with a camera, and used a root cutter to clean everything out. He's also given us a 1-yr guarantee on the service. This has fixed our frequent blockage problem.

Kitchen drain was clogged from sage leaves. I used a snake previously to clear drains  but after three attempts I decided to call in the big guns. I call Anthony during the workday on Friday and he told me that he would be able to come out late Friday afternoon. Just as promised, Anthony and his colleague show up and are able to clear the clog with their industrial equipment in about 30 minutes and I happened to be their last customer for the day. Anthony is professional, works quickly, and leaves the work premises clean. $120 gets a working drain and a 90-day warranty. Anthony will be my go-to plumber.

We had a slow drain in our master bathroom tub. The tub is old and and the drain had slowly become worse over time. I suspect my kids made it worse by sticking in pieces of bath toys. Tried the usual home remedies and nothing really worked.

Called my regular plumber who couldn't make it that week. Yelp pointed me to Northstar and Anthony. He came in that week and couldn't really snake it clean. He suggested replacing the drain assembly. Fortunately, there is a panel on the side of the house that he could open to access the drain.

Anthony came back this week and replaced the drain out. He charged me a flat price plus parts. The drain is awesome now. I have found my new goto plumber now. Highly recommended!

We have had Northstar out twice to snake a pipe that runs under some trees. The response time is always quick, and the pricing is very reasonable. The first time it was snaked, he told us we would probably have to do it once a year, as the tree roots grow back. Sure enough, almost exactly a year later, we needed him to come back out.

This is a terrible company. I strongly recommend don't use this company.
I called them tonight ( mid July) ~ 8pm. One guy answered the phone and said they do not do the job in the evening even their ad is 24/7. Then, I said thank you very polite. Few minute later, the guy called me back and said what is the issues. I explain to him and he said it will be minimum $250 charge because evening. I said no, thank you. I will find other company.
Then, few minute later, he called back again and left a nasty & threaten message in my cell phone.
I don't know what is wrong if we don't accept their unreasonable offer. I will never call this company.

After I posted this review, I received several messages thru Yelp & phone by owner of this company. Again, threaten & nasty message. He wants me to remove this ad, or he will keep bugging me. I will collect all nasty messages he sent and do some legal action against this guy.

Think about this. He keeps bothering me because he had bad review from me. Maybe that is why he only got 5 star reviews before. Maybe those people who gave him bad reviews also have same bad experience w/ me & they remove reviews to avoid the troubles.

Today we had an emergency with a large leak in our water main.  Our lawn was saturated and the water company had to come and shut off our water.  With a family of 4 and no water, we quickly called a few plumbers on a Saturday morning and all were too busy to come out.  We called Anthony from Northstar who was also booked but he found the time to come and save the day.  He worked well into the night to make sure we had running water again.  He explained what was broken and what he would need to do before starting.  He was very diligent, efficient, and he truly cared about the quality of his work.  He responded quickly to phone calls and text messages and he arrived on time.  The pipe was fixed and we now have running water!  We will definitely call Northstar for all of our plumbing needs.  Thank you Anthony!

Water heater needed to be replaced.  Worked with Anthony and he immediately had me scheduled for a water heater replacement.  Took no more than 30 min if it was even 30 minutes.  The quality of work and the warranty he provides is better than most places I called.  He was very prompt and very upfront with the costs without all the garbage fees all the other places I called tacked onto replace a water heater.  I recommend Anthony and his company for your water heater needs as he will take care of you.

Anthony and his helper fixed my kitchen faucet on short notice. Faucet started leaking and I started Yelping. Contacted a few plumbers and Northstar was the first to respond and keep engaged until I decided to hire them. They recommended a faucet, came over on time, were super friendly and cheerful, even made a couple of trips to the nearby Home Depot for parts without complaining. Northstar plumbing was definitely the best plumber we have dealt with as homeowners for 13 years. We had a back up in both toilets and tubs.  Over the phone I described our situation to Anthony and he gave me 2 flat rate quotes for the 2 scenarios as possible problems. He scheduled us in immediately, even though I could tell he was booked. He arrived quickly and was professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. Anthony was a pleasure to work with.  He is very knowledgeable and thorough in his work.  I had him come out to evaluate adding a water softener at our house, and he ended up leaving 4 hours later with the work done (thanks to my optimism, having already purchased a unit when he came to my home).

About the slightest hesitation I had in giving him 5 stars is because I feel that I paid too much for the work.  No proof, since I was so impressed with him that I did not bother getting quotes from his competitors :-).

I found Northstar plumbing through yelp recommendation. I had my plumbing backed up in the master bathroom, guest bathroom and garage bathroom. Anthony came with his equipment and removed a tree root over 4 feet from deep in the pipe.  

Throughout the process, I found Anthony very professional, efficient, and highly capable. I used two other plumbers but the experience was not pleasant. He is great!

Anthony and his assistant were great. I had to replace an antique toilet and also replace the main shut off valve. Anthony responded to my call very quickly and we setup appointment and what needed to be done via text messages. Toilet was replaced and as we had plans to do re-piping in the coming months Anthony suggested not touching the shut off value and save $300+  (his recommendation was to use a water key in case of emergency for now). We had a sewage ejector pump go out on us so I called Anthony who was able to come out a couple days later to troubleshoot and fix.  On the day of the appointment, he and Sam arrived on-time and was able to remove the old ejector pump, install the new one along with a new check valve and alarm.  I bought the equipment myself but was happy to know it was the same thing he'd recommend.  The job itself was a messy one and not something I'd ever want to do, but Anthony got it done within 90 mins and helped clean up some of the mud spots from under the house.  Thanks again for the work done!

I must not have use a plumber in ages because this outfit is high tech!  We had a sewage backflow problem manifest itself at 6am.  When snaking the drain ourselves didn't fix the issue, we called Anthony.  He was the consummate professional who was highly knowledgeable and was able to zero in on the problem right away.  He lowered a camera into the clean out drain and showed me the water wasn't making it all the way to the sewer.  He the snaked the pipe from the roof and presto he was done.  All told, he took less than 30 min.  These guys are efficient, trustworthy and reliable. I will definitely use them again.

After calling and left messages to other plumbing companies, I finally got an answer from Anthony. I had a problem with my bathroom tub. There was a hole that pass through the drain pipe and all the water went under the basement. It was awful. I did not know how long the problem was.  Antony and Sam came on time and gave me a very reasonable estimate. He even purchased the parts himself with no extra cost. He showed me the receipts and also show me the damaged parts that he replaced. They are a great team.

Few weeks later I have a washing machine problem with my client. I called him and he came and diagnose the problem. It was the 40 year old machine that gave up. He was honest enough to inform me that they are not the expert in fixing the washing machine so he did not charge me anything. Not even for the time and gas that he spent just to go my client's place.

Awesome!!!

Rare to have these kinds of people/business now a days. More than 5 stars..

I enjoyed working with Anthony to get my leaky sink drain elbow replaced. This involved replacing some drywall too which he covered as part of the job quote even though they're not really drywallers. He and his helper were flexible in scheduling, on time and professional...taking off shoes without being asked, laying down a mat and generally cleaning up afterwards. Note quite a perfect 5 because they accidentally cut through the other side of the wall (which they patched up) and because the a drain pipe trim didn't quite fit due to slightly different installation length but overall happy with the job. I had a water leak in my bath due to some copper pipe work that I did wrong. So I called Anthony on Saturday night, and he showed up at no time. It was a challenging fix because I messed the solder up, so Anthony had to first melt it, then remove it, and prep the pipe for a new solder, and solder it right.. It's way more difficult than when you have a clean install. Not to mention the pipe had water in it and it was in a very difficult position between the studs and the subfloor. It couldn't be removed. Anyways- Anthony was awesome! He did a clean job, and it was perfect and fast. He also took off his shoes and gave me a great price. He is 100% work, no small talk, and I like it.

This right here- is a damn professional. I called him yesterday in regards to a leaky faucet/tub that we had on our second story that had created a leak through our laundry room ceiling on the first floor. He came out within 24 hours and quickly assessed both issues plus several additional ones. He then told us how to fix it for $.80 at osh hardware supply, said it was an easy DIY. And then charged us nada! Told us to just call him if we ever need plumbing again. My hubby and I were so appreciative we tipped him $100 bucks. I have been dealing with clogged bathtubs for about a week now. I must have called about 10 plumbers (2 of them came out to my home) with no luck in fixing the problem. One of the plumbers said that they needed to make a whole in the tile charging me $500-$600! Other plumbers said the job was too big and would charge more. When I spoke to Anthony explaining the problem he confidently said he'd fix the problem and would arrive in 30 minutes.

Anthony and Joe came to my home on time and got right to work. Anthony assured me he would charge me when he fixed the problem. It took find what was clogging the pipe, but he was successful. I was so happy that he simply unclogged with the snake and didn't have to do some expensive project. Anthony told me that he and his business are about finding solutions and helping people and he stands by his word. Finding a good & honest plumber is like trying to find a good & honest Dr. or mechanic -  they are hard to find! This is my first time writing a review for any company. Anthony with Northstar deserves to be given another great review for their hard, honest work. Northstar plumbing is saved in my contacts and I'm definitely recommending him :-).

Anthony and Sam totally saved the day. Last night we discovered we had a pretty bad plumbing problem so I immediately looked on yelp for someone who I could call to come fix the problem, this was at midnight mind you. I give Anthony a ring and briefly tell him the problem. Right away he knows what the issue is so he agrees to come early this morning to come fix it for us. It took around an hour and all was well again. You can't get better service than that, and I'm not just saying this because we can use our running water again, but they're really polite and friendly, ON TIME, don't try to find extra things to sell you or rip you off for, and very reasonable with their pricing! If you have any plumbing issues, I'd say these are your guys.

I wondered how these guys had so many 5 Star reviews, and now that I've called them, I know.  They're pretty great.  We had water leaking under our kitchen sink and couldn't see the source.  Anthony and Sam traced the cause to a leak in the hose on our expensive Grohe faucet.  They informed us that since it's not really a plumbing problem, we should contact Grohe.  THEN they tipped us off about Grohe's lifetime warranty-- meaning replacement parts are free-- and told my husband what part to order and how to install it.  Anthony and Sam refused to charge us!  They said they didn't do any work so there was nothing for us to pay for-- just review us on YELP. Okay guys, you got it!
    Really, they couldn't have been nicer, and when our old house springs another leak-- which it will, Northstar Plumbing, I'm calling YOU!

I had my dad call Northstar because I saw so many great reviews. Anthony came out within a few hours and determined the problem to be tree roots inside the sewer line. His camera was able to detect exactly where the roots were and he removed them very quickly and efficiently. What is so scary is that we called 3 other plumbing places and all of them told my dad that he needed to replace the sewer line because it was broken. Each one of them quoted between $3,000-$4,000 to fix the problem. Anthony was able to fix it quickly for a fraction of the cost! We need a way to stop companies from taking advantage of the elderly! I called Northstar a few days ago regarding a leak I was having in our house.  The problem was that there were water stains on our crown molding in the downstairs bathroom.  Above it are two more bathrooms.   When I called I explained this issue and was told that it was most likely the drain overflow plate that is leaking since this issue happens to a lot of homes with a tub on the second floor.  Then I was told that to give them a call if caulking/sealing this up does not fix the leakt.  I was given free great advice and I cannot commend that enough for any business!! This builds trust and I will definitely be calling them back if I have any plumbing issues!

Called Anthony around 4:20 in the afternoon, and explained my leaky sink issue and at first he said he was booking for Friday and it was Monday. I thought I was SOL, but he asked whereabouts my house was and after I told him, he said he can probably swing by right now since it was on the way to his next appointment. I grabbed my stuff (I was at work) and rushed home to meet him. First of all, Anthony is very professional and very clear with everything. He took a look at my sink, figured out I needed a new faucet and said he could get a new one, or we can go to Home Depot and I can pick a new one myself. He meant right now and I was thrilled! I opted to pick my own and it was easy since he knew the type I needed. Got back to my house and he took maybe 20 minutes or less to install the new faucet. Not only did I get my leak fixed, but I got a new faucet installed all in less than a few hours. Wow! And for you do-it-yourselfers, it would have taken me all day to get the old faucet out, but Anthony was able to cut it out in a lot less time than it would have taken me (with much much less swearing). Talk about an efficient and a super nice guy and his price was very very good. I know who I'm calling for any plumbing needs from now on, that's for sure! I love it when I can find a contractor on Yelp and be assured that the work is not only top notch, but guaranteed for a year to boot. Thanks for the emergency house call, Anthony!

Called Northstar on Saturday morning wanting an earliest appointment possible because another plumber (service call through First American Home warranty) that came to fix a slow shower drainage left the bathroom complete mess without fixing the problem.  The earliest opening Northstar had was the following day (Sunday morning).  What a relief!

First, First American Home warranty is a waste of money and time.  We had two separate plumbers come out without any success.  They were only interested in trying a simplest method (snake down the shower drain) and refuse to do anything more.  I got tired of dealing with FA and called a real plumber.

Anthony and co-worker from Northstar showed up promptly on Sunday morning.  It was obvious they were serious about their work - came with all kinds of equipments to get the job done.  

After completely unclogging the pipe (now, our shower drains beautifully !), they even gave us a discount for having paid other plumbers not getting the job done.  Who does that?!!  

We will absolutely call Northstar for any plumbing related work in the future.

Anthony was quick to respond and arrived on time. He spent an hour diagnosing our problem with his scope. We received visual evidence that our pipes were clean, but we discovered that our upstairs neighbors pipes were clogged with roots. This was good to know, so we could notify our HOA in case we receive water damage from our upstairs neighbor. That way, we have proof that we advised them of the problem in case of a liability situation. Anthony made a small adjustment to our toilet, and then refused payment for his time. On top of that, he told us to call him anytime if we had a problem, and he would come right out. It doesn't get any better than that!

Anthony just saved the day. I called at 2pm, and he was available and able to come address our issues right away. Our washing machine had overflowed, the line was backed up, and Anthony had to try snaking it from 3 places (roof, drainage behind washing machine, kitchen sink!) before he was able to get to the blockage. He was friendly, persistent, and efficient. So grateful he was able to help us. The job took much longer than expected, but he still only charged us for the amount he said he would for a basic snaked line AND he took care of a leak that was on our water filter. I paid him extra due to all the extra work plus the extra care he gave to fixing my water filter. He also includes a 60 day warranty.  I will definitely call him again!

Great Service. I called this morning at 8:00 a.m. and Anthony promptly called me back and said he could have his technician Victor out by noon. Victor called me about 9:45 and said he could be here at 10:00 and he was. Once here, he snaked the drain pipe in about 20 mins and we were good to go. I highly recommend Victor and Anthony to you. I request a quote from 4 plumbers to fix a slow leaking in a shower tub with a suggestion of what I thought was the culprit.  3 responded, but only owner Anthony confirmed my suspicion and suggested it was an easy job to do myself (I had replaced washer myself already) by looking up at YouTube.  I took up the suggestion and finally fixed myself.  It was indeed an easy job but it took me (inexperienced) some time to get it right.  It was his encouragement that pushed me to plunge into DIY.  Feel good afterwards.  One plumber offered to replace the whole valve for $600 labor + materials.  It cost me less than $20 to rebuild and replace the whole valve.  Thanks, Anthony.

Here is another great review of Anthony at Northstar Plumbing! Our master bath sink had a terribly drippy faucet. I called Anthony and he immediately returned my call, asked about the details, had me send him a picture of the faucet and arranged to come first thing the next day. I called Northstar Plumbing & Drain because Anthony fixed a sewer issue at my parent's house a while ago and were very happy with the results. I have always been hesitating to call a plumber.

Four years ago, when we first moved into our house, one of the toilet is leaking. According to purchase agreement, seller is responsible to fix it. So, some plumber stopped by and told me he needed to order a special part. Then he stopped by a 2nd time, just to find out that the part didn't fix the leak and recommended replacing the whole toilet. I don't want to spend time waiting for the plumber anymore, so I just fixed the toilet myself. Since then, I've been fixing all our plumbing issues myself.

About a year ago, my main water line is leaking at a coupler. I was busy at that time and want to stop the leakage asap, so I called a plumber close-by with pretty good yelp review. Then, some guy with a big utility truck stopped by, again only to find out he needed a special part. Then he came back in the afternoon, saying that he needed to install a shutoff valve for $200 more. I asked why. He cannot explain clearly why. At the end of the day, we paid more than $400 just to fix a leaking coupler and had a new shutoff valve, providing more parts to leak in future. After this, I've decided never to hire a plumber again.

Yesterday, we had a main drain line clogged up, all our sinks and toilets were backed up, thus we cannot use water or toilet anymore! I tried my best, buying the most powerful motorized snaking tool from Lowes. Yet, I cannot unclog the drain line. I had no choice, but to hire a professional. Thank God! I found Northstar Plumbing & Drain. They came around 7pm on a Saturday, cleaned up my drain line up to 150 feet. And they charge very reasonable. Definitely two thumbs up.

I called Anthony at Northstar to fix a leak under the utility sink in my garage.  He answered the phone immediately, and since the leak was not an emergency, he scheduled a visit for the next day.  He arrived on time, found the leak was caused by a pipe joint that had become loose, and fixed it within two minutes - at no charge!.  Couldn't ask for better service or better price than that!  I now have his name and number in my list of favorites.

I had a water leak on my side of the meter box. The situation was a mess because of a tree right next to it, with the roots wrapped all around the pipe. Northstar plumbing was able to accommodate me at short notice  and Anthony and Vic showed up bright and early the next day. I am sure other plumbers would have given up and wanted to replace the whole section of pipe from the meter to the house. But Anthony was able to creatively solve the problem by cutting through the thick roots and attaching a new coupling to the main line which was still OK. And their rates are very reasonable too.. Now I know whom to call in case of any water emergency.

I am giving Anthony a 5 star for a non-service, yep a non-service. When I told him I had a slow flushing toilet, he helped me diagnosed the problem over the phone and advised me to get a 3 ft toilet auger which I did at Walmart for $6. After snaking it for a couple of times, it pulled out a piece of plastic from an automatic toilet cleaner that somehow got stuck in there. This saved me a service call for a simple job. Thanks Anthony, you are a honest and helpful guy. I would definitely go with him in the future for a more challenging job.

Had a blockage between my clean out and street.  Realized this when I went to run laundry and everything in my house backed up.  Toilets, tubs, sinks, and the washing machine...not great.  It was late, it was last minute, but they came out within about an hour.  They snaked the line, all was well.

About two weeks later, the washing machine again leaked.  I called again, as the service was guaranteed with one additional re-do, if necessary.  They came out the next day.  Turns out it was a different problem - an internal clog between the laundry/kitchen and the clean out.  They snaked the inside line and didn't even charge me more, despite it being a separate issue.

They were prompt, took care of the problem, and clearly weren't trying to nickel and dime me.  Cannot recommend more.

Anthony is a class act.

I called Anthony on a Sunday afternoon after the sewer clean-out in our front yard was backed up.  Anthony immediately left another job to drive 30 minutes up to our house.  As soon as he arrived, he realized it was a city issue and they would fix it for free (he was right - I called the city and they came out a few hours later).  I apologized for not knowing this and offered to compensate him for taking time out of his schedule.  He refused to take my money.  What a class act!  I look forward to using him in the future (and paying him for his time)

Recently had a clogged tub drained.  Called based on reviews and the $95 flat rate.  When called I told him the problem and I knew the problem was due to my luscious hair falling out, the plumber was courteous and also quoted me $95.  I also told him about a couple of other minor problems I had, and he assured me that he would look into those as well.  

He arrived on time and was polite, took off his shoes without requesting to do so.  The tub drain was unclogged in less then 10 minutes (including going back to his truck and getting tools, writing up the bill, etc).  i would say, the actual work took 6 minutes tops).  He went to write up the bill and when I asked him to look at the other problems he was curt and did not look at any of them, rather talked about it with me (I could have done the same with any plumber over the phone.) and then he talked money.  So, I got the impression that he was there to do one job and if i wanted him to look at anything else, he would be sure to charge me first.  

Also, I was not charged the  $95 flat rate.  There was another service fee of $15.  I am thinking, the  6 minutes job for $110.  WOW....that's $1100 an hour.  Had he told me that it would cost me $95 to walk into my door and then depending on the job, there would be another fee, I would understand.  He also told me that he would charge me $120 service fee to replace the tub drain, if i wanted it.  Ummm...no thanks.  

Although I thought he was nice enough and timely.  It was a total rip-off for the job of pulling some hair out of a drain.  If you were looking for a date with a nice timely plumber, I would highly recommend him.  If not, look elsewhere.

Great plumbing at great prices. I got several quotes for a blockage in my main pipe, and they were almost half the cost of the others. I needed them to climb the roof to access through the vent and they did it for $255.00 with a one year warranty AND they put a camera down the line to see what was at the root of the problem (and showed me). Two of the others quotes said they had to pull up the main bathroom toilet to use a camera. All of the other quotes just to clear the line were about $300 - $400 and the use of a camera was a large additional cost. These are the guys you want to use. Straightforward, honest efficient work at a reasonable price. Anthony also gave me good advice about some of my dated pipe and adding a clean out at the front of the house.

Anthony is a Rockstar. We called him 6 months ago to get the water system installed and he did an amazing amazing job. Waited all afternoon for these guys, and they didn't show up:

- I called on Monday morning, asking for an appointment
- They said they had a full-day job, but would fit me in at lunch time: they would call before they came, 1:30-2pm
- At 3:30, I got a call rescheduling for 5pm
- At 6pm, I called and said I would make other arrangements
- Later I got a call back saying that they had had a busy day, and that they could come out now, and that they would give me 50% off the service.

I appreciate that plumbing is an time-consuming business, and that estimating jobs can be very difficult. However, my time is valuable too, and I don't want to spend any more of it waiting for these guys.

I normally don't post reviews, but in the case of Northstar Plumbing, I felt it necessary.  Anthony exceeded my expectations.  He installed a sewer line clean-out at my house.  After installation, he snaked the line four times and thoroughly checked the line with a camera to ensure that all roots had been cleared from the line.  Services were fairly priced, performed quickly and efficiently, and fully guaranteed.  Anthony was honest and explained everything to me while performing the work.  I highly recommend Northstar Plumbing and wouldn't hesitate to call again for future service.

Amazing service! I had a clogged kitchen/washing machine drain. What do I say - they were at my door before me, did the equipment setup over the roof before i arrived, snaked the line and it cleared up. Then they left the water running to check and it backed up again. Then they snaked it again and it seemed to clear again but backed up again and this time a really black greasy liquid started flowing back. They did it a third time and were able to pull out something like tree branch twigs or roots! But it all finally cleared. They explained everything that was going on. I am going to call them back for a line inspection. Great work!

I found northstar on yelp and let me start by saying Anthony was a pleasure to do business with he was professional, knowledgable, & pleasant to say the least. Probably the best service person I have ever encountered to be honest. i called northstar at 9PM concerning our downstairs toilet overflowing. Less than an hour later, I had anthony  working to unclog our sewer. Anthony installed a new corner toilet in our house. His toilet suppliers were more expensive than ordering it online, so he told me to do this which saved a lot of money. He and his assistant then came right out after the toilet was delivered and installed it perfectly. His charges less than any plumber I have had experience with, but from now on I am not going to use any other plumber.

This was my first time using them. Their quotes were the most competitive and from talking to them they seemed pretty experienced. They worked with me on scheduling and were very nice to interact with. The work -replacing faucet went very smoothly. I noticed a slow leak behind my drywall ceiling. I called Northstar in the afternoon, they made it by my house 5:30 pm. Within an hour they found the leak. My situation wasn't critical otherwise they were going to work into the night.  We scheduled the job for the next day. They got it done quickly, cleanly, and at a good price. Professional guys, enthused about fixing your problem, knowledgeable, and engaged in their work. What's not to like?

They did it (when others could not)!  We had a stubborn clogged main sewer drain to the street that others could not clear.  It was recommended we spent thousands to put in a new line as the muck kept coming back.  Northstar used a combo motorized rooter and pressurized balloon to blow out the clog and get the job done right.  All for very little money.  Definitely call Anthony for fast complete service at a great price.  Bravo!

I needed a plumber right away for my clogged shower. I searched Yelp for 5-star services and Northstar Pumbing had over 260 5-star reviews!!! When I called their voicemail was full but obviously with all their reviews they are in great demand! I texted them right away to let them know I was trying to reach them and left my name and number and nearest cross streets. Anthony, the owner, responded right away, and he worked hard to fit me in his busy schedule. Anthony gave me a 30min. Heads-up call, as I requested, that he was on his way and  arrived right at my 10:00 appt. time. He had an assistant as well to help in. I requested they use slip covers on their shoes as I have brand new carpeting. Though they didn't have slip covers they did take their shoes off. They fixed the clog in 10min.!! He cleaned everything up afterwards as I asked. They were by far the best service I've ever had. Anthony really takes pride in his work and his business ethics of 'honesty'. They were the most affordable at $95 and Northstar Plumbing offers a ONE YEAR Service guarantee with a one-time 'FREE service request!! In addition to this they send an email to you right before the year is up as a reminder if you might be needing any services. Anthony came over earlier than he said he would to fix a slowly dripping outdoor faucet enclosed in cement.  He needed to break the cement in order to locate the leak.  He did this work quickly (within an hour) and easily stopped the leak.  He came back a couple of days later and  recemented the right way, leaving some space in case the pipe needs to be accessed again in the future.  He did a great job fixing this leak and leaving it looking better than before!

I called Anthony the same day we started to see a leaky ceiling in the kitchen. He arrived within 5 hours after the call and was on time. He is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I had assumed that plumbers also repair the sheet rock after they cut the ceiling. Anthony was very honest and told me that he is not the best sheet rock repair guy and that I should call a handyman or sheet rock expert. I was willing to pay for the extra work but his honesty was appreciated. He found the leak, fixed it and even looked at another issue in the house while waiting for the glue to set in. I would recommend Anthony for any plumbing issues as honesty though rare, gains the level of trust that guarantees repeat business. I am surely going to call him for any plumbing issues in the future and will recommend him to my friends and colleagues. Anthony, keep up the great work!!!

Updated below...

Called Anthony on Saturday morning, family in town. We've got a backup. Happens every 4 years from tree roots and the like invading our pipes. You just never know when. Well, he was my fifth call b/c other plumbers either weren't working on Saturday or they weren't picking up (probably b/c they were working, in their defense). He was highly professional and said he'd be here in 45 minutes.

He was here in 45 minutes. That's a good start. Then he got right to assessing the issue and pulled the gear from his truck and got right into it. Very pleasant guy. Working, working, testing, working, working until it was done. I was watching the whole time (b/c I just like to learn) and he was very efficient.

At the end, after pulling a bunch of debris from the pipes, we were clear, and tested clear. Then he snaked the camera down there and we both checked it out. All clear. A fair price, quick to work, courteous, professional and efficient. I like all of that. I'm using him next time!

UDPATE:
Well, long after Anthony had come by for our Saturday emergency clean out, our shower drain was backing up again. Our daughter has long hair and that is frequently the culprit, so I called Anthony out to look over everything again to see if it was the hair or something else.

Well, we scheduled and he met my wife promptly at the arranged time (during the day so i could not be there). He ran every bit of water in the house and found a slight backup in our tub as suspected. Turns out the slowdown was mostly due to an ancient drain stopper on our tub (you know, that switch doohickey you pull up or push down to open/close the drain). Well, he took that out and suddenly it drained fine. He Still did a snaking through that drain to get any stray hairs.

And you know what that crazy SOB did? Didn't charge us a dime! He just said, no charge on this - but call me next time you have a serious problem. What a stud! He is our plumber for life, now.

I had a bath sink drain clogged up. I tried the usual stuff (Liquid Plumber, Some 'seen on tv' hand rooter and a few other tricks). None worked.

I searched on yelp, and came across this, and called Anthony. He quoted 95$.

I had to leave for a meeting, so told my wife that a plumber will be home soon, and she should try to get a quote for a few other things that were bothering us (loose faucet in another bathroom, a faucet that wasn't giving enough water etc..).

Anthony came on time, was very courteous, did a great job, and did the 2 other tasks , and charged the initial estimate of $95.

My wife insisted that I write a good review (She can be quite picky) , and I am happy to do so.

I would recommend Anothony and use him for future (fingers crossed ) plumbing jobs.

Last night we discovered our that our bathtub drain was clogged. After years of liquid plumber, we had to actually call a real plumber this time.  9:30 in the morning I tried calling two plumbers before calling Northstar. After two failed attempts of not being able to get anyone on the other line,  I called Northstar. Sam picked up the phone right away and said they could be there in about an hour. They made it to my house in an hour and a half though.

The process took less than 20 minutes and their service was professional all the way.  When everything was completed, they offered to clean up my bathroom but I declined since I could have done that myself.  They were both really personable and professional. Not only was it $95 flat (with a 30 day warranty)  to clear my clogged drain but there was no sacrifice in service.

The only thing they could have improved on was to call me if they were running late instead of me calling to see where they were. No biggie.
Overall I was impressed and will definitely use these guys in the future.

I had a clogged main drain. Northstar plumbing came around 2.00 pm Sunday afternoon to diagnose the problem and went to get necessary equipments. Returned back by 8.00pm and worked until 12.00am.....

I just got back from vacation totally jet lagged and realised that the water is coming up from the laundry drain line. Called the guy who ran snake( and pressure jet) six months before. The guy said snake won't fix it and we have to change the whole internal drainage and gives a quote for an exorbitant amount. Didn't know if it would really be that expensive. So yelped and found northstar plumbing. I explained the situation to Anthony and he said snake should fix the issue. If it does not he said he won't even charge me anything. He came the next day, between jobs, fixed it and gave me a quote to change all the pipes( this is an old house and all the pipes are original. They have to be replaced at some point) for less than half the price of what the other guys quoted. He said he will even fix an ac pipe that is broken. He was very professional,thorough and helpful. His assistant even cleaned up the mess that they didn't have to. Thanks a lot Anthony.

After a very frustrating era of septic diluvial incidents, lots of clean up,  and many attempts by and arguments with my contractor and husband (who can both, usually fix anything) I called North Star Plumbing.  Anthony came out, hooked up his camera snake, espied the problem (a test cap left on by the previous contractor), knocked it out, WITHIN 10 MINUTES!  He then compensated the fee to an excellent price for the short amount of time spent.  What a guy!  These people are busy, (no doubt because there're good) and you may have to persist with calls and texts, but there're worth it.

Northstar Plumbing came to unclog my bathroom drain past the p-trap.  As a bonus, they replaced the p-trap assembly (the previous contractor who installed it did it in a funky way) and made sure my newly installed drain (installed by me) was not leaking.  Anthony was courteous and open to answering my questions.  The work was very reasonably priced and also comes with a 1 year warranty!  Highly recommended.

Our sewer drain was backed up christmas eve and i called this company and the guy came right away. at first he couldnt find what was causing the drainage to back up but he found the problem using diffrent methods. Overall i am extremely happy with their service.

I like to fix things myself and i got in above my head trying to snake the main sewer drain to my house. I called Anthony and he gave me a window of time of when he could come to the house (same day) and even called 30 minutes before to confirm when he was going to get there. Anthony and his associate were not only knowledgeable and professional but also very helpful. He fixed the issue and even put a camera down the main line to show that the blockage was gone. He also went above and beyond by giving me information on how to do some things myself which I don't think many plumbers would do since they want the future business. By doing this, he added value to his service and i would recommend him to any of my friends and will definitely use his services in the future when i have a plumbing issue.

These guys are truly great! They had given me a quote for replacing my broken water heater. I wanted to pay by credit card, and Anthony was not set up to accept credit card. I told him I am sorry I cannot go with you in that case. Instead of being upset, he called a friend's company that accepted credit cards. And it so happened that his friend had a promo or something going on and offered a lower price. Anthony was too happy to get me that deal and happily set me up for same day installation. I found Northstar plumbing & drain while looking for a reliable honest plumber on Yelp. I called for my elderly aunt who was having trouble with a shower faucet. Anthony was excellent from start to finish. Very polite and professional while we arrange the appointment over the phone. He went above and beyond to make sure that the job was done correctly. We initially believed the shower faucet would have to be replaced.  We later found out that the problem was due to blockage in the water pipe leading to the shower. The water to the shower wasn't getting hot. Not only was the problem corrected but Anthony refused to take any money for his time. Going forward Anthony at Northstar plumbing will be the first and only call we make when we need a plumber.  I live out of the area and its good to know that my aunt has a company she can depend on.

I called Northstar because of my backed-up sewer and I'm glad that I did.  Anthony came on time and worked patiently with husband to find the hidden cleanout, identified the problem and cleared the clog promptly.  Not uncommon in Saratoga, the cause was the tree root in the front yard and Anthony spent a good 2 hours working at it without extra charge.  Would definitely call him again if I need a good plumber!

I chose Anthony based on other reviews here. I will say him and his coworker were excellent and took care of additional setup of new dryer. My recent experience with Northstar Plumbing was excellent. Anthony answered the phone and offered to come immediately to snake the line. My home is more than 50 years old, so previous plumbers have complained about how difficult it is to snake as the cleanouts are small or one way toward the street. Anthony saw the same situation, but immediately, and cheerfully, worked on a way around all of the obstacles to get to the obstruction. When the tree roots came up on the blade, he put his camera down to see where they were getting in. He invited me to watch too. When he pinpointed the spot, he gave me a reasonable estimate to dig it out and put in a 2-way cleanout thereby solving both problems. He returned the next week, did the repairs as agreed, cleaned up the area afterwards and gave me a warranty. My neighbor wanted the bush that needed to come out, so he and his assistant dug a hole next door and replanted it. That was beyond amazing service!

Anthony will be my first call for plumbing issues from now on. He is a very knowledgeable plumber, honest, professional, reasonably priced, and great at explaining the problem so that I can understand.

Anthony is very professional and considerate for customers. I called him because of hearing dripping water in the wall, and he arrived within about one hour. He diagnosed the issue thoroughly, and finally located it as a leak in the crawl space. He gave me unbiased, fair advice on either to repair or repipe, and left the decision to me without any pressure. (my house still has galvanized pipe). Eventually I decided to repipe and Anthony did not charge me anything, which was a surprise because I do appreciate his time spent on diagnosis and considered it worthwhile service on its own. Even if Anthony decided not to charge me, he still spent a fair amount of time to go through everything thoroughly, which I appreciate as I believe on a busy Saturday he indeed had other business to do. Tony and partner quoted $175 plus parts, came in before noon and were done after noon.  The job was to replace old rusted Delta cartridge.  Tony was able to remove the old rusted ring and replace it with new one and new cartridge.  I called 3 people before including some people who had a lot more work experience but Tony did it for $225 total including parts.  Out at noon what else can you ask for?

I found the 5 star rated Northstar Plumbing on Yelp and requested a quote to replace my old faucet with a new one I bought. I received a response in about 15 minutes by Yelp email requesting that I take pictures of the faucet and pipes and drain under the sink and text it to Anthony for an estimate.  The other vendors I contacted insisted they had to send someone to my house to do the estimate - that is a waste of my time!  I would have had to have multiple plumbers come first, and then later I would choose one to do this simple job. Anthony does things the modern way with smartphones.    I texted the pictures to Anthony, and he called back right away to ask a couple questions, then sent me a quote by email covering the whole job, including replacing the old pipes and drain under the sink.  The estimate was very detailed, and also included a one-year warranty.  We scheduled an appointment for the next day, and Anthony first went to Home Depot to get the needed parts, then got to work right away.  He was clean and professional, and knew exactly what needed to be done.  Around an hour later the faucet and all the pipes were replaced with new parts.  The faucet works great and Anthony even explained how to register my Moen faucet so I would qualify for Moen's warranty.  The end price was the same as the estimate.  Anthony was very nice and left me his card in case I needed a plumber.  I would definitely recommend Northstar Plumbing to anyone needing plumbing work done.

We found a leak on our main water line close to the meter late morning recently. Decided to call the highly recommended plumber that the neighborhood used. Person on the phone didn't really sound like they wanted to take the job, even though we set a time for the next day for them to come out. With the main line shut off and the thought of no water for another 20 hours, we decided to look on Yelp for another option. Found Northstar and Anthony answered right away. Even though I'm sure he was in the middle of another job or between jobs, he took the time to listen to what our problem was and provided an estimate on the work (low to high range). He was also booked solid for the day, but accommodated us and said he would swing by after finishing his other confirmed appointments. Anthony promptly showed up that evening even though it was after hours for him. Got to work right away and found the source of the leak. Luckily, he had the parts in his truck already and completed the fix. I hovered over him the whole time he was working, which didn't seem to bother him. He explained and detailed the cause of the leak and how he was going to fix it, plus provided his warranty for the work. We are very happy with Anthony and the work. He is a true professional who knows his work and goes the extra mile to take care of his customers. We definitely will have his number handy for any other plumbing needs and will make sure we get his number out to the neighborhood as the plumber to call. Thanks Anthony!

Thanks to Northstar Sewer & Drain my trouble was cleared quickly, and I could see clearly inside the pipe using their pipe-cam.
Wow! I knew there was trouble, and the camera showed me what it looked like. They used a tool to locate the exact position of the camera which was stopped at the point where there was trouble with the pipe. Cool.

When my son said dad I broke the shower I thought it would be something I could take care of myself.  I tried to remove the plastic threads from the pipe,but wasn't able to do so.  I called Northstar and Anthony said that he could come the next day.  He showed up on time and fixed the shower in 15 minutes.  I highly recommend him.  I will be calling him if I have any plumbing issues in the futures

My elderly mother called me in the evening, about 20 mins before 7pm and I'm glad they helped me out as being 3 counties from my Mom, I wasn't going to be of any immediate use.  I spoke with NorthStar, and they had excellent customer service and got to her house within 30 mins of my phone call.  Got a great flat rate from NorthStar, unlike the others who wanted to charge per minute and the others rates were 40% higher and those others couldn't even come out the same night, and NorthStar did.  He came out, evaluated the problem, gave us an awesome price and handled it like a boss and fixed the problem, isn't that how all things should be.  Grateful that the other Yelpers gave there reviews as it definitely influenced who to go with and if this review helps you, I'm glad I took the time to do it.  Also, if you like an intelligent, no BS, not overpriced plumber, look no more and don't waste your time calling others getting the run around BS chit chat, just call NorthStar.  Thanks again for helping us out tonight!!!

We had a sewage blockage problem two weeks ago in our bathtub and toilet and, Anthony came-out to clear the line with a plumber's snake. I called 4 plumbers and he was the first to return my call and showed-up in less then two hours during all the December rain storms. He was very professional and explained the blockage problem to me then proceeded to unclog the sewage line and fix the problem. He used a camera to inspect the line and everything seemed to operate back to normal. There was some potential risk with a shut-off flap in the pipe that was getting stuck and part of the original problem, but we decided to leave it alone because the sewage water was flowing properly after he cleared the line. Everything was working well until 10-days later when I was not at home and I get a call from my wife saying the toilet and bathtub are backed-up again.  So I call Anthony back today and his voicemail message said that he was taking the day-off, but he made another service call to our home to make a final repair on that faulty trap pipe. He only charged me for the original service call and did not charge me today when he took care of the problem again. Anthony is courteous and professional, and provides a good honest service to his customers. That is rare these days so I wanted to share my experience and thank him!

Northstar Plumbing and Drain Rooter, Anthony and Sam, these two young men are very professional, courteous, and punctual. I recommend them to anyone with plumbing issues.

I ran across Northstar Plumbing and Drain Rooter while searching for a local plumber on the Internet. Seeing all the positive feedback I thought I'd give them a try. I'm so glad I did.

Anthony picked up the call right away. After I explained the problem, and without hesitation, said, he would be over within the hour. This surprised me since it was after hours, but he assured me that he would be out to check on the problem, and there wouldn't be an after hour charge.

Anthony and Sam showed up, introduced themselves, insisted on taking off their shoes before coming into the house and went right to work. They worked on the problem for awhile, and then we found out that there was a bigger issue then first expected. The problem was thought to be a collapsed pipe, somewhere under the concrete in my garage. My first concern thought was how much is this going to cost me! Sam explained the problem, repair and cost, which seemed fair and he even suggested that I had the option to call in another plumber to confirm or deny their prognosis. We agreed to have them continue the work and said they had to return with a scope to locate the exact location of the trouble spot. By this time it was late, so it was decided that they would return in the morning to locate the collapsed pipe, tear up the concrete, repair the pipe, then repair the concrete.

The next day they showed up as expected and ready to tackle the problem. They ran the scope, found the spot, but decided to try another solution before tearing everything up. To my relief the alternative solution worked, clearing the clog, and saving me loads of money not having to tear up the concrete. Although this was a temporary fix, still thinking it's a possible collapsed pipe, they left me with the option on getting it repaired now or saving some money and waiting until later... saying they thought I wouldn't have any issues by waiting. I just love the fact that they weren't just out to make an extra buck, but really thinking about me, my situation, and what might be best for me. I decided to wait, but will definitely call these guys when I'm ready to make the repair.

We have been having this sewer like smell lately when we start our washer, and I for one I like to get involved and get my hands dirty. So I decided to fix it my self, it might be a clog after all right? I went to home depot got a 25' snake and as dirty as it was tried to unclog the pipes from the clean-out. Strangely it would not go beyond 10-15 feet, I still would be able to clean the pipes but no luck with the smell. I tried a couple of plumbers who came saw the issue - one even said your washer is the problem which did not make sense. Desperate to fix it as it was smelling, I checked online and found Anthony on Yelp to be highly rated. With some confidence in the system and the testimonials I called him, he came out on the day he said he would and I will tell you this man knows his sh..stuff. He diagnosed it correctly to be a clogged sewer pipe(like I did) but when he could not get his professional 60Ft long snake in to clean it(which was what I had experienced). He went crawling under the house and voilà there was a sagging plastic pipe, which caused the blockage. He had to push it up for the snake to go all the way and the lines were cleaned. We need to fix the pipe which he will do some time soon. So I learned something and think he is the best plumber I have met and trust me I have had my share of plumbers.  I would recommend him any day. Thanks Anthony!!

A 5-star duo! I had a backed up main sewer line one night and tried using the ole baking soda and vinegar fix with a boiling water flush as this resolved the problem last month when it was first experienced. Unfortunately, it didn't work this time. Resorting to the professionals, I called around the next morning to gather a few quotes. Not only was Northstar Plumbing and Drain Rooter the most affordable with their low and flat rate cost, but they were able to accommodate me sooner than the other service providers I spoke to. Being unable to use the bathrooms until the clog was fixed, I urgently went with them.

After making the appointment, I was prepared for possibly sub-par work based on their low quote but was ultimately impressed by their service! They showed me what was clogging the main sewer line which turned out to be neighboring tree roots, and they cleared out the roots and related debris from the main drain line and got the job done. Sam was very knowledgeable in every aspect of the work and offered priceless information which would help to prevent this from happening again. He also mentioned other optional services they provide which would make maintenance a little easier and affordable until the root of the problem is resolved. Anthony and Sam were completely honest and professional the entire time, and I appreciate the dedication they put into their work. Regardless of the extra time it required for them to complete the task, understandably due to the unpredictable nature of this type of problem, they stuck by their quote. They even replaced the angle stop and anchor bolt, washer and nut set without itemizing the parts on the bill. I was also not charged extra for the wax ring/seal like other service providers were quoting an additional charge for. Seeing the bill and the gesture to exclude all the extras only solidified their honest work ethic. Flat rate means flat rate with them. The service even came with a 90-day warranty! A satisfied customer here, and I highly recommend this team. Thanks guys!

Service so great I finally had to sign up for Yelp to leave this review. My main sewer line has been having issues with root intrusion and a different company I had out in the past ended up giving up on attempting to clear the line, instead they started quoting prices for tearing up the driveway. Once it finally backed up entirely I gave Anthony a call and within that same morning he arrived, sent the camera down, and then fully ground out the offending root intrusion that was causing the problems. He then sent the camera back down again to show me that it was 100% clear all the way to the main. Great work, fast work, nice guy. If I have any plumbing issues in the future I won't hesitate to call him first.

Anthony took my call on a Sunday!!  We made an appt for 7:30 Monday morning. They arrived EARLY at 7:15!! Anthony and his asst. work quickly and cleaned up after themselves. They were friendly and professional giving us all kinds of info on water heaters when my husband asked his opinion on tankless water heaters. They cleared my shower/toilet drain and price was what he quoted me the day before and there's a 3 month guarantee. I will call NorthStar again. Thanks Anthony!!

I called anthony at Northstar plumbing because I had main water line break.  He was very professional and on time. He charges a fair rate and dosent try to upsell you things you don't need. My main water line is working like a charm now. I would hands down recommend him to everybody I know. We called Northstar Sewer and Drain yesterday with a clogged drain in our commercial building, Anthony and Sam showed up on time and were very courteous and professional, they stayed and worked on the problem for many hours until it was cleared.  Then, the next morning they came to check on us to be sure that everything was clear and running plus cleared the drain in the janitors closet.  We were impressed with their service and will ask them to come back anytime.  Bonus, the price was super reasonable.  Thanks Guys!

I have a 40' galvanized drain line running under my house (in the crawlspace) that has rusted through. I was looking for a plumber with solid reputation and experience to replace it.  I came across Anthony from Northstar Plumbing on Yelp. I read through the reviews and It looks as though everyone only has positive thing to say about him. I decided to contact him. He came over to have a look at how he is going to tackle the job. He told me he will send me the estimates in a few days and that he can start the job in about a week.  I got the estimate and it was an excellent price for what needed to be done. I told him I want him to do the job. He told me he will start in the following Friday. He kept me inform on when to expect him and how long the job will take. On Friday, he came and did an awesome job replacing the drain line. BTW, I just noticed on Yelp that during the week he worked on my job, he has referred some businesses to other people because he stands by his commitments. Anthony is a very knowledgeable, respectful and honest person. He was right on time and is very considerate when it comes to setting up an appointment. He answered all my questions and even explained to me what he was doing and how he was going to install my new kitchen faucet. He made sure everything was functioning correctly and that there were no leaks. I believe I got a good deal and some new knowledge about kitchen sinks. I would definitely be calling Northstar Plumbing and Drain again if I ever needed plumbing services.

The BEST SERVICE at the BEST PRICE & polite !
My toilets were backed up.  Checking the sewer drain access & finding it overflowing proved that it was outside of my house.  1/5/2015 - I called Northstar Plumbing & Drain.  Anthony answered (live, not a machine).
He said that he already had many calls to make today, but that he would call me back to let me know if he could get to me today.  He called me back at 5PM & said that he could come.  Awesome !   Anthony & John were polite & answered all of my questions.  Anthony not only cleared my drain, but also ran a camera down afterwards.  This showed that the cause of the clog was a problem with my pipes.  He took the time to show me on his camera display.  All other companies in the past told me that the problem was roots, which was an incorrect assumption.  Anthony told me how to clear the clog myself the next time.  Wow, he cared more about making me a happy customer than to make more money on me in the future !
Other companies charged more money & did not include the camera service.  Not everyone has the camera & if they do, they charge extra, not Anthony.
He also warranties his work.
I added him to my contact list, so that I can call him for any of my future plumbing needs without needing to search the internet again.
I did not have a Yelp account till now.  I took the time to create a login so that I could give Northstar Plumbing the 5 star review they deserve.
Knowledgeable, efficient, great price, customer service, & honest !   Who could ask for more ?

Kept scheduled appointment with courtesy call when would be arriving.  Simple problem, he found leak in under kitchen sink pipe, re-tightened all joints (I have trouble doing it).  Said if leaks again would consider replacing them.  Honest and professional.  I will use him for all future plumbing needs!

This company does not deserve to be rated at all.  Anthony is very unresponsive in returning calls.  Additionally, he arrives to the job site late and I mean hours late and does not inform the customer right away that he is running late.  I'd always have to call him to see what time he would be over.  He wasted a lot of my time when he did not commit to the expected time of arrival.  Moreover, his customer service skills aren't very professional at all.  Anthony even argued with me.  Diagnostic skills aren't so great either.  He'd always call Sam or Danny when he's not sure what to do.  It seemed like he didn't know what to do from the start.  Basically, he has little knowledge and experience.  When he couldn't pin point or resolve our plumbing issue, he gave up and said I don't know what to tell you, but there's nothing else that I can do.  I've already spent a lot of my time here and I'm not making any money.  Talk about having experience in the most pertinent trade installed in your home, plumbing.  Based on Anthony's uncertainty of troubleshooting our plumbing issue, I immediately knew I made a mistake in having him come over.  He even screwed up in placing back my faucet.  To top it off, Anthony bargained and argued to reduce his service charge fee if I paid him in a certain method and played the act of being poor with only a dollar in his pocket.  Rule of thumb, he should never mention his personal financial status of being poor to his customers and not argue with his clients.  I highly suggest others not to contact Northstar Plumbing to perform any work.  You will strongly be disappointed when he doesn't perform like a true plumbing expert.

Excellent job! The guys came to the house expecting to clear blockage in the main drainage line from the house to the street, but the problem proved to be more complex than that. They spent more than half the day analyzing an unusual problem and clearing the line and also making needed repairs to the sewage line. I appreciate their professionalism, and patience. They did a somewhat difficult job for a very reasonable price.

I called Northstar Plumbing on a Friday when I noticed the pressure regulator was leaking inside my house.  So I looked on Yelp and I liked what was said about the company and it's owner, Anthony.  So I called him up.  He asked me to text a picture.  I did.  He said that he could do it on Monday or Tuesday.  We decided on Tuesday.  He brought the new part with him and very efficiently installed it perfectly.  I will certainly call him again for my future plumbing needs.

My mother had a clogged kitchen sink this afternoon and on such short notice, Anthony was able to come to the rescue. He was very polite,  professional and was able to fix the issue within an hours time. His rates are reasonably priced unlike most other places I've contacted that charge by the hour and tag on crazy additional rates.  I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family for any plumbing issues.

I called Northstar Sewer & Drain and Anthony responded quickly to my problem of very slow draining water in my bathroom sink & no drainage in my bathtub. Anthony diagnosed the problem as a mainline blockage and returned from his van with all the correct equipment. Even though the blockage in my mainline was severe, Anthony kept at it until the problem was fixed. Anthony had to climb up on the roof to ensure that ALL the pipes in the house were free and clear. I considered this to be above and beyond what I expected meaning I feel that I did not just get good service, I received excellent service. Calling a plumber can leaves me with a sinking feeling of dread, but what a great experience I had with Northstar Sewer & Drain. I was so impressed that I am going to hire them in the near future to replace my old energy inefficient tank water to a new energy efficient tank-less water heater. Lastly, Anthony followed with a phone call to ensure that his work was successful which I appreciated very much.

Great guys, very knowledgeable,  and willing to educate you about the issue.  They diagnosed the issue quickly and got me back up and running.  I opted for them to scope my pipes. Northstart plumbing - We have a (what I would consider) expensive kitchen faucet that was leaking.  I was afraid we would have to replace it.  These guys knew exactly what was wrong, went to the store to buy the part, fixed it and went on their way.  Excellent service, reasonable price, knew what they were doing.  Let's also throw in pleasant and professional.

I called Anthony today about a washer drain overflow issue. He scheduled an appointment with me on the same day. He was on time. Look over the issue, went up the roof and under the craw-space. & showed me the root cause of the overflow with his high tech camera probe & fixed it. Then I showed him the leak on elbow pipe that I was going to fix myself. But he went ahead and brought all the equipment and fixed it for me. Overall my money was well spent.  I highly recommended him.

I found these guys on Yelp to replace a broken pressure release valve at my home.  Not only were they among the highest rated on Yelp, but they also gave me one of the lowest quotes.  Ultimately, the amount I paid was even lower than the quote Anthony gave me.  They were both friendly and professional.  Anthony was up late in the evening to schedule the appointment a couple days later (via text).  He gave me a 45 minute heads up so I didn't have to sit around waiting at home.  He gave me his business card as soon as he arrived.  He removed his shoes before coming into my house, even though I was wearing mine around.  Apparently, replacing a PRV doesn't take two people the whole time so instead of standing around, Giovanni fixed our gate that was jammed shut (at no charge).  Before leaving, they took a look at our supposedly leaky refrigerator and instead of telling me how bad it was, Anthony said it just looked like a minor issue that could easily be fixed.  Needless to say, I'll bring them back to fix it in the future.

Anthony at Northstar Plumbing showed up the same day I called him and within the hour he said he would be at my house. The job we had at our place was a tough one, but he had the advanced equipment and know how to get the job done. He even had a camera system (with a pipe locator) that went inside the pipe to view and explain what the problem was, the work he had done to fix it and what I should do in the future to keep things working smoothly for a long time. Very good job at a fair price.

My pipe was leaking and I called them at 11pm on a Saturday expecting to leave a message. To my surprise, Anthony returned my call within 10 minutes and we scheduled for him to come in the next morning (I think he would've come in right away if it was an emergency). The next day he and his partner Sam came in. Although the job turned out to be more complicated, they were able to get it fixed in a couple of hours. The price is very reasonable, and the experience is very pleasant. I'll definitely use them again in the future.

called northstar plumbing early on a fri morning to deal with a main line backup at our home. Anthony and sam called ahead of their arrival, and arrived on time. they expertly snaked the main line which relieved the backup. they then, at no charge, used the camera so we could see the nature of the problem. we were able to determine the cause, root bundle, and location of the problem within the pipes. excellent service at reasonable cost. I am having them return to place a cleanout access so that the root mass can be removed. very satisfied.

anthony just came by today! he was on time! he told me what i think i need & what he can help and not help me. he will refer me to another contractor. i showed him another problem in my kitchen. he went out, searched for his tool; and lo and behold my 1 problem's fixed and he did not charge me! i offered to give him some $'s for his gas, he said no, it's ok!  there's a few people/contractors like anthony! so thankful i met this honest, accommodating, respectful man! thanks anthony, you are amazing!

I live in an old home in Palo Alto surrounded by large trees that caused the sewer lines to get clogged every couple of months.  Without a cleanout, it was required to get up on the roof to snake the sewer lines.  When I first moved into this home several years ago, I called in many different sewer people, many of whom didn't bring the right equipment, try to charge me an arm/leg to do it right, etc.  Before calling Anthony, I used one sewer guy who jammed his equipment in my line and left it all there.  When Anthony first arrived, he had to figure out how to get the sewer lines cleared and try to remove the other guys snake which got stuck in the line.  Well, he resolved that issue professionally and cost effectively, as he has every since.  Recently, we agreed to dig up and replace all the old pipe and put in a convenient cleanout near the foundation of the house.  This work was all done professionall;y, at a great price with exceptional quality.  I recommend Anthony and this team whole heartedly !!!
