Thank goodness for Honey Do! Handyman Services.  I have hired Paul in the past and I was pleased with the work he did then.  I am happy once again with the work he did for me today.  I am in the process of moving out of the place that I am currently renting.  I need to make sure everything is as it was when I first moved in.  I needed a couple of shower heads replaced, a new toilet seat and one of the tubs needed caulking.  

Paul responded promptly to the text I sent him about the repairs I needed done.  He was able to coordinate with my schedule within the week.  He was on time and came on the day that he said he would come.  He was fast and efficient in his work.  As a courtesy, he even tightened a shower rod that kept falling on me when I sometimes moved the shower curtain.

I plan to use Paul's services again in the near future.  His prices are good and his work is great!

So lucky Paul was referred to me by a friend!  I was in a panic because my rusted backyard garden faucet/valve could not be tightened and was leaking water. I texted him a picture of the spigot and he said he did not have time to fix it until two days later which I agreed to at first. Later, seeing how much water was leaking, I asked if he could come sooner. He made time in the morning before his busy day started to fix it which was way above and beyond. Thank you!!
He knows what he is doing, compassionate to emergencies, didn't leave a mess, and will continue to call him and refer him to friends.

We are very pleased with Paul's work in re-caulking our bathroom sink and installing new faucets and drain plumbing. The old caulking was disgusting looking and the new caulking bead is perfect. He did a neat and professional job, arrived as scheduled, and charged a reasonable price.

Paul gave me a price estimate and date that he would come out to fix a faucet in one of my rentals.  I'm 700 miles away.  He was honest, reliable and a pleasure to work with from afar.  He set me a video of the problem fixed, and met his estimate precisely.  It's hard to find someone this honest and reliable these days.

Our towel rack and cabinet broke. I'm relatively new to the area and know how hard it can be to find a trustworthy and professional handyman. Paul was honest/fair on prices, fixed the issue in no time, and even came back to fix a small problem we had in a timely manner. I appreciate and will definitely be using/referring him out to the people in my area.

Paul's a genuine godsend. He's completed numerous projects for us now and has always done a solid job. He's timely, professional and has incredibly reasonable rates. We worked with several handyman before finding Paul, and none of them compare. You won't be disappointed!

Paul took on a tough task of replacing our kitchen sink. He was able to guide us through our options and the end result was nothing short of amazing. Looking forward to future projects with him.

I needed an under sink water filter installed and didn't feel comfortable drilling through my quartz countertop myself. Paul asked the right questions about the installation, made sure I was happy with where it was going to go before drilling, and did a great job installing it. He also helped re-hang a door in my home that wouldn't stay in position.
Would highly recommend him as a handyperson for his great communication and work.

It is easy to understand why some people work for themselves. This man would not make it as an employee. His work ethic is rotten. Paul Cardona is not easy to work with nor did he stick to scheduled appointments.  He was rude and unkind. Left his undone work undone and didn't offer to return my money for his errors. He has lots of excuses like he travels from Sacramento, couldn't find what you needed at Home Depot and spending time with his girlfriend's son all after committing to work at your place.
He left me hanging without his work completed and was rude about showing up as agreed. I just gave up on him.
Also he refuses checks and wants only Venmo as a personal payment which is sleazy.

Paul is always prompt and reliable. He is extremely knowledgeable and is upfront on pricing. He is quick to respond to inquiries. This is my go to expert for everything plumbing in the South Bay.

Paul does solid work and seems to be a really nice guy. Lowering my review here only due to him being a little unreliable and poor at communicating. Was promised an itemized invoice and another quote on new jobs to be done around the house after the last job he completed here and then he promptly disappeared and will not answer a call or text. Tried once at the beginning of the week over the last couple weeks and nothing. I think he would be really solid for odd jobs / one time things but over the long run it seems he isn't someone you can consistently rely on.

Had a couple of workout pieces and he did a really great job assembling them. Will be using him next time for sure

Excellent! Paul installed some new light fixtures, repaired a couple of doors and a gate.  Very easy to work with. Highly recommend.

We had a leak under a sink. Paul answered promptly, identified the issue, picked up the parts and the problem was fixed a day later. Highly recommend!

Paul did great work, quick to respond, and very reasonably priced. I had a leaky faucet that got progressively worse over the last few month. I wanted to get it repaired, but turns out it's better to just replace the whole faucet for future reliability and roughly the same cost. Paul also found the valves to have rusted significantly, and recommended replacement for those. He only charged for the additional labor, and provided itemized receipt for all the supplies used for this project. Very satisfied with Paul's work and would use him again for fixes around the house.

My door was stuck sometimes. I asked quote on Yelp with different vendors. Paul responded quickly and gave a reasonable quote. He came the next day and fixed my door within 30 minutes. He was very friendly and did a great job. I highly recommend him.

Paul did a great job to mount the blinds. He was very quick and though he could come in the promised time, he kept us updated on the changes in the scheduled time.
I've recommended him to couple of my friends as well.

Such a great experience! Paul showed up and did everything I needed while injured! So hard to find good, honest trustworthy people that don't take advantage of you. Very grateful!

My friend worked with Paul before and recommended him to me. Glad that I contacted Paul to install our chandeliers. Before the appointment, he asked for photos and descriptions of the light fixture to be installed, and gave a reasonable quote. On the day of appointment, he was on time and did a great job. He even organized the boxes of packaging after he finished the installation. We are happy with the new lights and will definitely contact Paul again in the future.

Had our garbage disposal replaced. Work  was done expediently, good responsiveness on Yelp - would definitely recommend

I originally gave four star because it is considered good. However, Paul responded rudely telling me I never booked him and he never confirmed. He even lied I did not reply to his question. I have attached part of our conversation's screenshot and you judge it yourself. I can post our whole conversation how responsive I am if necessary -- always within 24 hours if not same-day.

Original four-star post: I booked Paul last week for services tomorrow. Communication and price have been okay. They just canceled tonight because of his knee injury.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Paul is highly UNPROFESSIONAL. He rescheduled multiple times and would come really late in the day for 30 minutes which made the work extend for several more days than it needed to.
Was extremely rude and disrespectful - I was told things like I'm not your personal shopper I can choose what I want to work on.
The eventual work quality was SLOPPY. He left in a huff, did not clean up after himself and left debris all over the kitchen floor. Terrible experience - do not hire Paul. I am expecting Paul to rudely respond to this Yelp review, as he has done so repeatedly to his previous customers (scroll below on yelp). So be it, but it's time to grow up and behave in a professional manner if you want business from this community.

Paul Cardona is an excellent handyman. He does great work. Everything he does is done well. Tasks are done completely with an eye for detail.  He communicates well and makes you aware of things you may not have thought about.  He has a wide range of handyman abilities with a lot of different household things he can fix.  

When I first called him I just wanted some touch up paint work done. He did such a good job with this that we expanded to other tasks and I am not only satisfied but very happy and elated with his work.  

His billing is fair and reasonable.  He is easy to work with and he is trustworthy. I don't have to be at home while he is working, I trust him.  

I would recommend Paul to anyone.

Highly recommend hiring Paul! We hired him to install a barn door earlier this year after hearing great things from my mom and sister who both hired him for home projects. He did a fantastic job, so we've hired him for numerous other projects since. He's reliable and quick to respond via text. I'll absolutely reach out to him again.

I'm honestly baffled at my experience with Paul. Based on his Yelp reviews he seemed like a great guy with experience and reasonable prices. However, when we hit some minor miscommunications he left in a huff and refused to explain why he was angry or let me rectify the situation. Long story short, I would listen to the other bad reviews about him being a bad communicator. Based on the other reviews, it seems like he's really bad at handling situations that are different than what he expects, and becomes extremely frustrated and rude when that happens. Please see the attached text message conversation. We have never spoken on the phone.

I hired him to put up a shelf and put a blind back up on a roller. When he got there, the tenant got confused and thought he was there to redesign the closet. It also turned out that the blind had more issues than we originally thought.

I texted him back within one minute of his message to forget the blind and I would get it replaced, and that the closet was a miscommunication and to hold on as I was going to call the tenant and tell him that he was just there to put the rack back up temporarily and not redesign the closet. He left in a huff and said that the job wasn't what we agreed upon.

It's true that the details of the situation were different than what I originally thought. For example, I told him we didn't have original screws and stuff and he took that to mean we had the mounting bracket but not the hardware. I'm not a handyman and I don't know the technical terms. It was an honest mistake and I would have been happy to pay him for his time and for purchasing whatever hardware or bracket was necessary.

I tried to communicate with him to rectify the situation and offered to still pay him the full fee even though I was going to find someone else to do part of the job. He became rather rude and told me to stop texting him.

I think the reasonable thing for someone to do in this situation is just say hey this is the situation and it's going to cost $X more if you want me to do it instead of getting personally offended.

I had previously used him for resetting a leaking toilet in one of my bathrooms so was hoping for this next project to go as seamless. I messaged a picture and measurements requesting an estimate for a 7x7 resin shed I needed assembled. His rate was higher than several others, but I figured if I wanted it done correctly I wouldn't go with the cheaper companies. He also mentioned that he has done several of these assemblies. After mentioning I was a repeat customer, he ended up taking $50 off his quoted range so final price was $400. I scheduled with him for his next available appointment the following weekend.

He arrives one hour late (original eta 9-10a but arrived at 11a). At 9:13a he hadn't arrived so I reached out to him, he replied saying he was at another Client's walk through and was running late. I found it odd that he didn't even bother to let me know. This is where the lack of communication started.

He arrives and seems surprised that the shed is a big one. I show him the existing concrete pad where the shed is to be assembled and placed. I let him get to work. Again, I found it odd that he appeared surprised when I had provided all detail and sizes during the estimate request from the beginning. He also mentions later on it's a two man job which leaves me wondering why he said he has done these before. Certainly he would know then.

3.5 hrs later he was done. I went to check out the shed and tested the doors. Immediately I heard the door scrapping on the concrete and saw the doors were offset and did not align properly. I started to inspect the doors to try and figure out what the issue was. I also started checking the locks and handles. Next issue I noticed is there was a lug nut wrench adapter stuck to the back of the door handle. He then tells me passively that he can't get his tool off, it's stuck. At this point I go back to the door issue and he tells me that because it's larger than the concrete pad, the surrounding pavers would need to be leveled in order to level the shed to resolve the door alignment issue. I was shocked that he wouldn't mention the issue BEFORE proceeding with the assembly. No communication at all. If this issue would have been brought to my attention I could have then made a decision to fix and level the pad out before the shed was placed there. During this time he keeps assuring me it has nothing to do with his workmanship. I tell him I'll contact the manufacturer and if there's an issue I'll reach out to him. I assumed he would say sure, if there's any issues I can take a look. No, he just confirmed again that it has nothing to do with his workmanship. I immediately got the tail light warranty vibe which is never a good sign. I then go back to the stuck tool issue. I politely told him I would prefer to not have him leave his tool handing off the back of the handle and if he needed a wrench I could see if I hand one he could use (he showed up in a small sedan not a work truck so I thought maybe he was limited with tools). Before I could finish my sentence he sighs UGGGGHHHHHHH and he huffed and puffed walking away back to his car. At this point it I was not happy. I was paying him over $100/hour and he was being super rude and did a shoddily job. He then returns with a can of lubricant spray and a tool. He sprayed it and slipped his adapter off within 15 seconds. I wasn't surprised, he lacked any type communication or effort to do the job correctly.

If he would have communicated properly from the beginning and warned me of the leveling issues I would have been more than happy to pay him an additional rate to add some pea gravel or sand under the pavers or to even return another day. Now I have to pay someone else to move the shed and level the area out. Hopefully that fixes the door alignment and gap issues as I would not want to contact him again. Customer service, communication and common courtesy are non-existent.

No tip or no further work from me. I just hope I don't have any further issues down the road ( leaks).

We had Paul remove our old mailbox and install a new one.  He did a perfect job, making sure to take care of all the little details.  It was easy to communicate with Paul, and his rate was very reasonable.  He was on time and made sure we were satisfied with the job before finishing.  I definitely plan to use Paul again and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a handyman.
