We live in a gated community with property managers who had to be hounded for three months to get the company out to program the gates so we, our guests, and contractors could get in the place.
Yesterday they finally called Galaxy and today Tom from Galaxy showed up and fixed everything.  He was very professional, courteous and even called us at 5:30p this evening to make sure everything was in order.

The back patio at home was a death trap. An open set of stairs into a basement, no hand railing and a very short wall at the top of the stairway; an extreme tripping hazard. The patio was open for anyone to walk into and just not a secure or safe space, we never went back there out of fear of someone falling into an open stairway, headfirst 8 feet down onto concrete steps. Since the day I signed the deed for the house, fencing, railing and gates were on the list of things to complete. I spent over a year looking for quotes and getting referrals, one shop came out for a quote and never came back to do the job, another twice didn't show up to quote the job at all, a different shop came out, did two gates and didn't come back for the rest, it was a nightmare trying to get someone out to fix this nightmare of a patio. I finally found Mike at Corbin Ironworks, his shop came highly recommended from a couple of my neighbors, he does a lot of great work all around Phoenix.

Mike and his crew specialize in custom metal fencing, gates, and other welding jobs. I had them out to install a hand railing on an exterior stairway, a fence over top the stairway on two sides, a locking gate atop the stairway, a section of metal fence over a 4 foot tall exterior wall and two posts to attach a shade cover over the front patio. We agreed on a price, I paid for half the quoted work and he and his crew were out within his estimated timeframe to start the job. Over all, the job took a couple weeks longer than originally expected, but he actually showed up and did the job better than expected.

A few of the pieces were cut and fit right on site, to get the right fit and angles, it was cool to watch them welding and grinding parts to form the fence and hand railing right in front of me. The posts were installed into the corners of a artificial turf lawn, they paid special attention while pulling the turf up, digging the post holes, pouring in concrete and setting the posts into place before replacing the turf as if it was never pulled up. One of the guys on the crew had years of experience installing custom shade fabric, what a score. In addition to making and installing the posts, he was able to help me take measurements, order the the custom fabric and install it also. I'm so glad I had him helping me on this, because I was planning on attaching the shade to my roof's facia which would have pulled right off the roof had I done this myself. His experience saved me a lot of extra headache and dollars down the line.

Mike actually showed up to do the work I needed done, I can safely walk down the stairs, I can use the patio without fear of someone falling head first into the stairwell, i can sit outside without burning to a crisp and I couldn't be happier having finally checked all this off my list.

Everything was fine until a post holder broke and they refuse to honor the lifetime warranty.  Jason told me before we started that if anything breaks he will be back to fix it no problem and turns out he will try to get 125$ from you to come out. Don't believe this guys lies his warranty is full of shit.

Preston the owner is the best!!! He responds immediately even on weekends. He knows everything about auto gates and will even talk you through how to fix it for free!! He does quality work and stands behind it which is something the big companies don't do. He is honest and trustworthy as I felt super safe with him around. I wouldn't trust anyone else to do my auto gate!!!! I haven't had any problems with the gate he installed 2 years ago!! He even gives out his number to text questions to.

Excellent service, quality work.  Went above and beyond to find tile that matched our existing title that is no longer made. We have used them on two of our houses. If ever needed we will call them again.

Tom was recommended by a friend of ours for our new home's landscape. The work turned out nice, but getting there was difficult. It has been almost 9 months and we are still waiting for him, or someone from his crew, to come and correct a problem we have with our flagstone walkway. Tom and his crew applied a sealer on our travertine patio, and due to overspray, was tracked onto the flagstone walkway. We have discolored flagstone and footprints on some of the larger pieces. The size of the stones requires more than myself or my husband from flipping them over. My husband has contacted Tom more than once to come and fix the walkway along with another additional repair. Tom says he will be over and doesn't show.

Come see my door before you have these people rip you off. I PROMISE you wont be buying from them. Thats just the door itself without what I went through to at least have it basically functional, i.e. shut.  This was an exterior door that was used interiorly.  It has a crack in it i can put a quarter through so I dont know what they really expect from a door but please, save yourself the head ache go some where else. You will thank me. They put so many holes in it and the frame that it looks like I have termites. I warned you.

Whiting produces a good looking gate, and for that they are deserving of at least 4 stars.  But apparently it will not honor my warranty, and for that I am deducting 3 stars.

Last June Whiting Iron installed a back gate at my home.  In January of this year (2018), I noticed that the coating on the lower brace of the steel frame was flaking off, and the exposed steel was displaying signs of rust.  The rest of the gate and the gate posts appeared fine. Because the rest of the gate frame was unaffected by the problem, I concluded that the problem was not caused by an external conditions or forces (e.g., rain).

So in mid-January, I called the owner and left a message describing the problem and requested a response.  I received no response.  

On February 1, 2018, I emailed  a description of the problem to Whiting Iron.  

On February 2, I received a response requesting pictures (which I immediately sent), and the following: We are currently in our peak season and at capacity.  All service calls are put in a queue for when we have availability on our trucks; the lead time is approximately three to four weeks.

On March 5, I sent an email requesting an update as to when I might expect something to happen.  

It is now April 7, and still have received no further response from or action on the part of this company.
