Our chain link fence needed a repair ; most companies wouldn't have bothered, but Mr. Guzman came and fixed it for us !  Vet happy with this company. Thanks for your help, sir !

We live in a gated community with property managers who had to be hounded for three months to get the company out to program the gates so we, our guests, and contractors could get in the place.
Yesterday they finally called Galaxy and today Tom from Galaxy showed up and fixed everything.  He was very professional, courteous and even called us at 5:30p this evening to make sure everything was in order.

The back patio at home was a death trap. An open set of stairs into a basement, no hand railing and a very short wall at the top of the stairway; an extreme tripping hazard. The patio was open for anyone to walk into and just not a secure or safe space, we never went back there out of fear of someone falling into an open stairway, headfirst 8 feet down onto concrete steps. Since the day I signed the deed for the house, fencing, railing and gates were on the list of things to complete. I spent over a year looking for quotes and getting referrals, one shop came out for a quote and never came back to do the job, another twice didn't show up to quote the job at all, a different shop came out, did two gates and didn't come back for the rest, it was a nightmare trying to get someone out to fix this nightmare of a patio. I finally found Mike at Corbin Ironworks, his shop came highly recommended from a couple of my neighbors, he does a lot of great work all around Phoenix.

Mike and his crew specialize in custom metal fencing, gates, and other welding jobs. I had them out to install a hand railing on an exterior stairway, a fence over top the stairway on two sides, a locking gate atop the stairway, a section of metal fence over a 4 foot tall exterior wall and two posts to attach a shade cover over the front patio. We agreed on a price, I paid for half the quoted work and he and his crew were out within his estimated timeframe to start the job. Over all, the job took a couple weeks longer than originally expected, but he actually showed up and did the job better than expected.

A few of the pieces were cut and fit right on site, to get the right fit and angles, it was cool to watch them welding and grinding parts to form the fence and hand railing right in front of me. The posts were installed into the corners of a artificial turf lawn, they paid special attention while pulling the turf up, digging the post holes, pouring in concrete and setting the posts into place before replacing the turf as if it was never pulled up. One of the guys on the crew had years of experience installing custom shade fabric, what a score. In addition to making and installing the posts, he was able to help me take measurements, order the the custom fabric and install it also. I'm so glad I had him helping me on this, because I was planning on attaching the shade to my roof's facia which would have pulled right off the roof had I done this myself. His experience saved me a lot of extra headache and dollars down the line.

Mike actually showed up to do the work I needed done, I can safely walk down the stairs, I can use the patio without fear of someone falling head first into the stairwell, i can sit outside without burning to a crisp and I couldn't be happier having finally checked all this off my list.

Lots of other places to get gates and ironwork done, I'd have a hard time believing any could be worse than this. Missed appointments, no communication, unfinished work, promises not kept, and incompetent installation-- I can't think of one area where they performed even adequately. Wish I could give negative stars

What started out as a great experience turned in to a perfect example of how to not run a company.

My wife and I had multiple companies quote us to replace our removable pool fence. JP, from A Safe Pool ultimately won our business after highlighting the fact that they can manufacturer exactly to the spacing of our existing holes - and, that they can drill new holes on one side to extend the fence out. He also sold us on the upgraded posts which will be firmer and more stable.

We moved forward with a project of a couple thousand dollars - no small amount.

After the installation I found that the fence had a LOT of movement. In fact, more than the previous fence that was being replaced.

After not getting much help from Jason (the owner) initially I decided to review security cameras we happened to have and was blown away by what I found. Essentially the crew part way through the installation acknowledged:

- The sales person had made mistakes (either in measuring, or in promising they could install in the existing holes)
- The fence was loose and was not how it should be

There would have been a few acceptable ways for them to handle this. Let me know as a home owner and review options, call the owner and discuss how to make it right, etc. Instead they said the following (word-for-word from the video):

Installer 1 - Look at that dude. I don't know. It is what it is dude.
Installer 2 - Why is that loose?
Installer 1 - Who cares...he obviously didn't...it's all loose. it is what it is man we don't have any other stuff.
Installer 2 - That guys a f**** dumb *** dude.
Installer 1 - Check out the molding on the outside here (chuckles). Well, I'm not looking at it.
Installer 2 - (chuckles)
Installer 2 - Can't make miracles happen dude
Installer 1 - You know what my response is going to be...the guy that sold it to you, call him...he'll fix it
Installer 2 - He's Mr. fix it
Time passes...one sees me through the blinds
Installer 2 - Carful, you've got eyes
Installer 1 - Can't nobody hear anything with eyes.

You would think that an actual video documenting this would make an owner quick to take accountability and resolve the issue. Not the case. Jason still hasn't taken ownership over the mistakes his company made, or the awful customer experience. After asking him to come out to resolve it he said he would send the original sales person. When I pointed out this made no sense because that person is part of who made the mistake and incentives to self preserve, not to admit to the mistake, he still wouldn't come out. Jason's (owner) final email to me said -

No one on our end made a mistake. The holes that were drilled by a different company aren't our fault. I am willing to see what we can do. Not sure what else I can do but make a time to get by there. JP has been with me for 15 years. He is quite capable of coming up with a solution.

At it's core this is simple. I wanted to replace a fence without drilling new holes if possible. We chose this company because they said they could do that. The installation was poor, and video shows the crew knew there were problems while installing. Despite video the owner refuses to take any ownership and won't even enter into the situation.

I'm left with no choice but legal action, BBB, Registrar of Contractors, etc.

I called A Safe Pool because they had good reviews. And maybe on more simple jobs they do really good work - the reviews would seem to indicate that. But, the reality is the character of a person (or company) is revealed when something goes wrong. Jason has revealed his companies character.

There are lots of other pool fence companies with good reviews - I'd recommend working with one of them vs. rolling the dice and hoping you don't have an issue needing resolution with A Safe Pool.

- He is correct, this was installed last year. I asked him to come out many times to resolve the issue. My family went through a serious medical situation and this took a back seat until I reached out to him again.

- It is loose, it is poorly installed (this is acknowledged by his own installers), and the customer service has been atrocious - especially his own. How much of a safety issue it is? How much a loose fence wares compared to a properly installed fence? I can't say. But I can say is $1,700 is a lot to pay for something done so poorly and his response says a lot.

- He is correct, I have emailed him many times. His most recent reply prior to today defended the crew, didn't take ownership and offered to charge me $500 to come out and drill new holes. This wasn't acceptable. As a courtesy I told him I was going to proceed with posting a review, contacting the BBB, Registrar of Contractors etc. It's not a threat, its a consequence to awful customer service.

Responsive and prompt. Final product is great and works easily. Preston explained everything clearly and asked before he made any adjustments to make the gate opener work. Would use again and recommend for anyone looking for a simple upgrade to their garage/gate.

Our insurance company is trash. they're a major company and even have their name on the stadium where the cardinals play. they're useless. armored roofing walked us thru the process of repairing our house after a microburst more than our own insurance company was willing to do. leilani and alonzo have talked us off of so many cliffs during this ridiculous process beyond their scope of support. this company and it's people are awesome. we've never had to file a home insurance claim before and they walked us thru it better than the jagaloons we pay every montH.

If u are not interested in doing business, u should state so.  People do not reach out to people, if they do not need help.  It is always good when people have integrity and do what they say they are going to do.   I would not recommend someone who is so disinterested and does not call back.

The Rustic Door Store was fantastic and I would HIGHLY recommend this company.  Bruce was our sales rep.  He was patient with us during the design process.  Bruce told us exactly the process for install.  Ramiro and Jose C. installed our door.  They not only installed the door, but fixed the dry wall inside and the stucco outside.  I did not have to call any other trades in to fix any of the modifications from the old door to the new door.  The new threshold needed to be ordered after the install.  To my surprise, the company(Ramiro and Jose C.) returned to put it in days after the install.  Yay! Bruce was on site checking the install every day.  The install process and installers were polite, efficient, and clean.  This was a great experience.  Thank you.

Do your homework before choosing this company.  Company falsely represented that all proper permits were obtained and in order when they were not.  I incurred County fines and thousands in legal bills.
