Best General Contractors in Arizona

We recently purchased a new home in Paradise Valley which had not been updated since the 90's. We needed a total update to the windows, flooring, kitchen and bathrooms.  FIVE40 came highly recommended from a friend who had an addition built last year so we looked them up. My husband and I were really impressed that the owner of the company, Shannon, actually showed up to the initial appointment. He walked our home with us and gave us suggestions and advice about our options as we explained our vision. Unlike other contractors we've used in the past he actually gave us honest advise about what was and was not possible. He didn't just tell us what we wanted to hear. This was a major project which took several months to complete but Shannon and his team worked diligently throughout the renovation and kept us informed as change orders arose. They were great about providing us with options whenever possible.  I can honestly say it was the smoothest renovation we have ever been through (take that for what it's worth). All and all the team at FIVE40 put together a beautiful custom kitchen with a large island and plenty of seating.  Shannon was able to install our gas cooktop in the island using a vent system that goes under our floor and outside!  Our master bathroom is a dream! We couldn't be happier with the multi valve steam shower and the floating shower bench! Hopefully this will be our last major project for a long time but if we need a great general contractor in the future or if anyone asks for one, FIVE40 Remodeling will definitely be the first to know!

I just can't say enough good things about Bobby Campbell and his contracting company, Campbell Contracting. He and his crew really did an outstanding job of resurfacing my pool and putting in a new cool deck. I just moved into an older property that had a large diving pool that was shot. I literally could not dip my toe in the pool until it was resurfaced. I chose a pool contractor who had a cutting edge 3-D program that showed my pool exactly how I wanted it and sold me on it. (All show and no go!). After hiring him on, he subbed the job out to Bobby and told him I needed to get it done before the friends and family Open House I was planning at my new place. Well, my hired on Pool Contractor disappeared (his review to follow!), but Bobby got the job done....at least the part he was hired to do. He had 5 guys here round the clock and the finished product is absolutely gorgeous. I am so pleased and would refer Bobby in a heart beat. I felt bad after the job was done, because the General Contractor I hired gave him a bogus check!!! I absolutely would recommend Bobby and Campbell Contracting to anyone looking for any kind of remodeling job. They are first class and get the job done!!!

I'm in the midst of acquiring multiple estimates to remodel our master bathroom. So far, FHR Construction stood out the most. Oron, the owner, was very energetic and came up with a few interesting remodeling suggestions. He explained the construction process thoroughly and a project manager will be assigned to oversee the project. Their graphics designer, Jeremy, then put together suggested bathroom designs into multiple 3D images. That helps a lot in identifying changes needed and envisioning the overall bathroom layout, prior to start of construction.
Also, FHR construction has a huge selection of stone and tile which is more reasonably priced than other nearby showrooms. their attention to detail, quality of products and services exceeded my expectations.

Patrick completed a very complex remodeling job for us that required exceptional electrical and carpentry skills.  Our great room now oozes style and class and has left us with an abundance of space.

I must give kudos where it's due with contractors! I'm usually skeptical & very cautious with dealings. I HATE chasing down people & getting stabby with them but I will. My water heater had a slow leak & caused some sweet water damage to my garage drywall & inside my master closet wall/carpet! Edge Restoration dried it out & sent Gurr Brothers Construction to repair my drywall & replace the carpet. It was a seamless process throughout. Sam from Gurr Brothers showed up, kept me in the loop of when & who to expect @ my house & stayed in constant communication of plumbing, drywall & carpet people that were dropping by. Although a bit of a nightmare to have your houses gutted for a while?!? I couldn't be more impressed with the way it was handled & for them to deal with my Homeowner's Insurance too. When we hired this family-owned company by the owner, Alex Suarez, he showed his portfolio shows which were very impressive! We chose to recruit him and his crew to begin work with us in our master bathroom. He confirmed an appointment immediately and the next few days to launch working with us. Once they arrived here time, they had their own tools and equipment. They were very organized, good preparations, and knew what to do with the procedures from scratch to end. They showed very positive attitude, friendly, hard operating as a team. While they installed our own tiles, they made sure that we were satisfied with their performance. We are in love with this modern tile floor in the bathroom. They are quite talented and knowledge. Very details! They can do almost anything like shower tub, floor, tile wall, and so forth on. We saw their beautiful work from the previous clients on INSTAGRAM. We highly urge you to hire this company. You won't disappoint you take the decision.

As soon as I met Bobby I knew I wanted to hire him. He was professional, knowledgeable, and carefully reviewed and discussed the details of my project. I had just purchased a house and needed work done prior to moving in, so my timeline was tight, 2 - 3 weeks. I had new flooring put in, new interior paint, recessed lighting, new light fixtures and hardware installed. Bobby got it done quickly and efficiently and maintained excellent communication throughout the process. I was amazed at how hands off the process was. Bobby ordered the materials I had selected, and also helped me pick out some other items. He has great taste and a good eye for what will work best. Don't let the small number of reviews stop you from working with Atelier507. I was hesitant at first because when we started the process they were new to Yelp and did not have any reviews. Now I am so impressed with Bobby and his team I would recommend him to everyone and use him again on future projects.

The tile and plumbing job for a remodeled bathroom was completed with precise attention to detail. The prep, and installation of both floor and wall tile were professionally completed. The project remodel looks like the way it should be, Brand New. Wonderful service, and came to work in a timely manner as promised.

This company did a great job on our rebar. They were quick with their estimate and professional. The crew that came to do the work was very friendly and kept my yard clean. I would highly recommend.

Got a large cabinet section installed in a random area next to my kitchen. Excellent service from this company. Quentin keeps you informed of the process and communicates well throughout. The employees who did the work were respectful and did a great job! Would use this company again for remodel services! Adding a picture, the color is the same on top and bottom cabinets, photo lighting throws it off

My window job was small, (4 windows) but I am very pleased with  the quality, professional workmanship, and overall install experience.  Joseph and his crew were polite, knowledgeable, neat inside and outside my home. They were conscientious on all issues. I recommend this contractor!

They did an absolutely beautiful, top quality job on our backyard. The design is unique, well thought out and functional. The aesthetic of our yard is modern, yet comfortable. They are motivated to keep their designs unique and interesting. Your yard will stand out while remaining warm for entertaining and family and guest friendly. They were responsive, communicative and very professional. They do not cut corners and take pride in their finished product. WOW! Chad fixed the gables on our Tudor style home and they look amazing! He drafted a new project solution that makes the gables look beautiful and authentic, but that works so much better than what we had before. Chad is creative, punctual, efficient, super tidy on the job, and offers very fair prices. Highly recommend Chad and Jones Reclaimed for any home project- big or small. We for sure will be calling him again!

I wish I had more to say about BBG but apparently they are doing so well they do not need new customers.

I had seen their truck around town and found their card in a local paint store. Called or emailed them several months ago for the first time and got no response. Someone handed me their card again several months later and I called again and left a message - this time they called back and scheduled an appointment and Jason came out - on time - to discuss the work I wanted.

I THOUGHT that was a good sign, but apparently not, He said he would be back in touch in a few days, that was over one week ago. I am not in a rush to have the work done, but it would be nice to know if they are ever going to come back to me (guessing not).

All it takes is a simple phone call or email to say hey, we are swamped right now, are you in a rush? We have not forgotten about you and will get back to you. Instead, complete silence. I like to support local companies but I guess this one is doing so well, they do not need my business.

I found G's Hone Services on Yelp, requested a quote, he got back to me within 20mins of my request & quoted me a fair price. I hired him for the job & he nailed it. Great service, great work, I highly recommend.

These guys were great for my mothers place. We met them at the home show and were impressed by the quality of the tub. After meeting with Derek for a consultation, they were very reasonable compared with other estimates we got.  They got this tub installed in 1 day!  It was crazy to see the transformation happen so quickly. My mother loves this thing and is super grateful for the workmanship. My mom even said they followed up a week later to make sure she was happy with the product still.

Great remodeling company these guys do great work and there work looks amazing I highly recommend them to all my family and friends !!!

While researching pool builders we found Peak One Builders and Restoration; Peak One Pools and Backyards. Upon meeting with Mike, the owner, we immediately felt a connection with him and knew he was the one to build our pool. Mike and his entire staff not only met, but exceeded in building our dream pool and outside bathhouse. Their attention to details, no matter how small, was outstanding. We have had nothing but compliments on the beautiful work that was done.
We were so pleased with the work on the pool, we turned to Peak One again, to turn our current garage into a rec room and building out a new garage. Once again from the start our vision was met and exceeded in the construction. Yes, there were some delays in getting the project completed, and it took longer than anticipated, but the final outcome was well worth the wait. We couldn't be more pleased with the work that was done.
During both projects, the workers were courteous, made sure the yard was cleaned up and all garbage thrown in the dumpster. It was a pleasure to talk to and work with them all.

Our Kitchen Remodel was a long process, but the new custom cabinets, counter tops, electrical, drywall, plumbing, appliances, and painting process were finally completed.
The Backsplash, over the cooktop and counter, was the last step.
We contacted several installers from lists provided by the tile stores.
We received no return calls.
Finally, we decided to try Yelp. Our Yelp search for Backsplash installers listed Golden Bear Contracting.
We called Michael, the owner of Golden Bear Contracting.
He answered our call and said he could come out that afternoon and give us a quote.
We wanted to show Michael the tile we had selected and also the Mosaic we had purchased to go over the cooktop.
The Mosaic contained thousands of really small tiles, and we wanted to be sure Michael could install it.
He answered all of our questions about installing the Mosaic and gave us a few suggestions on outlining the Mosaic with darker Pencil tiles.
We decided on the spot that Michael was the contractor to do our installation.
He gave us a date about two-weeks out for the installation and we shook hands on the deal.
Michael arrived on the promised day at exactly 8am and got right to work.
The job was finished, as promised, around noon the next day.
Everything, including the mosaic, went perfectly.
The grouting and the tile sealing went smoothly and the finished product looks absolutely great.
His cleanup was spotless and we couldn't be more pleased with the results.
We'll be remodeling our master bathroom next and we had Michael look at the bathroom and make suggestions.
Turns out that he actually specializes in Bathroom remodels.
We were very impressed with our backsplash and also with his suggestions on the bathroom remodel.
We've decided to call Michael when we're ready to tackle the bathroom.
He is very professional, courteous, punctual and, when it comes to tile, he's Great.
