much more expensive and not very professional...might go as far as calling them rude.    They do know plumbing however and do quality work but would be nice if they could charge reasonable rates and be more polite.

Thursday night we discovered that our hot water heater was no longer hot.  I spent several hours trying to psyche myself up for a cold shower.  Cmon self, I said.  You can do this.  You used to go tubing in the Guadalupe.  This can't be much colder than that.  I gathered the courage I needed, jumped into the stream of cold shower water, realized I was much closer to 40 than I was to 20, oh and also, I was no longer able to draw breath.  Holy cow pies.  We needed a plumber.

Now, I don't know if you've noticed, but sometimes it's hard to find a reliable service person here in Austin.  There are tons of flakes who either won't call you back or who will rip you off for every cent they can.  We'd never needed a plumber before, and we were nervous.  I turned to trusty Yelp.  Union Jack, eh?  Called him.  Left a message.  He called back a while later - he was booked solid for days, unbearably popular now that the Yelp crowd has discovered him.  Thanks a lot, guys!  Thanks for nothing!

But he did recommend Johnny Rooter, who he said a lot of the local independent guys used as backup when their work load got overwhelming, and he gave me their number.  Said they might be a little more, but they would do a good job and I wouldn't have to worry about them.

On Friday we scheduled a service call for between 8-9 on Monday morning and we hammered out details like if they could bring a hot water heater with them in case ours was completely shot, what the price range would be on a new one, warranty, etc.  They showed up on time, diagnosed an unfixable water heater, took it out, installed a new one, and were at the low end of their price range - all by 11:30 am.

Hooray!  Water's never been so hot.

I had a water leak in my kitchen.  I opened a service ticket for a plumbing repair with my home warranty company.  When Joby responded, he checked all of the sinks and drains and could not find a leak.  He went above board to look at the HVAC system and determined that the a/c was frozen and leaking.  He took photos of the frozen pipes so I could document the issue for future claims.  He turned the thermostat up per my request to keep the system from freezing further.  I was not able to be there, and he was honest and told me exactly what he was doing while he was in my condo.  I would recommend Huffman Plumbing for excellent customer service!

Hands down, A Deal Plumbing is the best plumbing business in Austin!  We have a house built in 1950, and it's had tons of plumbing problems over decades.  Until I lucked up and found A Deal Plumbing, about 10 years ago, we'd had many plumbers here with fair to bad results.  But the plumbing throughout the house is in great shape now thanks to Arnold and his sons.  In addition to handling competently ANY kind of plumbing problem, Arnold and his sons are honorable, totally trustworthy men.  What a fine business!!!

Last week a handyman accidentally damaged pipes and caused a leak in the bathroom. We called Apache the next morning; Sean arrived a few hours later--as promised--and repaired the pipes. He was extremely knowledgable and efficient. Before Sean left he helped us out with a dripping bathtub spout...he even called the manufacturer and got us a free replacement for a 15 year old part! It all took less than an hour. No surprises or weirdness with the bill, which was very fair for the work. An excellent experience.

Called them one afternoon when the first plumber couldn't make the scheduled appointment. They graciously added me to their schedule, showed up earlier than estimated, and diagnosed that I needed a new faucet. When I ran into trouble installing my new faucet, they were able to come back out and finish the install. Excellent service and I will definitely call them first next time.

Justin is one of the most professional people I've ever worked with. He responds quickly to calls and emails, shows up early, does great work, and charges a very fair price. He patiently guided my wife and I through some of the plumbing considerations of our DIY home renovation and made quick work of the projects that were outside of our skill level. Come and Plumb It sets the standard that all tradespeople should live up to, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

Prompt and courteous service. Fair prices. The issue was with a (new) defective faucet, which couldn't be fixed without warranty parts, yet they were able to temporarily eliminate the leak so I could continue using the faucet until the new one arrives.  Happy customer.

Atech is such a wonderful company to work with. We have used them multiple times for new toilet installs and repairs. Response time is incredibly prompt, each employee we have worked with is professional, and their scheduler is super sweet. We will continue to use Atech as needed and refer them to neighbors. Awesome service again from Frank of Trio plumbing. We woke up to a sink leak upstairs. We were panicking, Frank came out within 24 hours and fixed the leak effortlessly. Frank went above and beyond the call and ensured all the other sinks were tightened and no leaks were in them. I would highly recommend Frank and Trio plumbing for any of your emergency and non emergency plumbing needs. You will not be disappointed and their level of professionalism exceeds 5 stars. I will forever use their service.

Set up an appointment, they called and said they will be two hours late because of flat tires. So my first thought was if it takes these guys two hours to change a tire maybe they arent the best, but oh well. Wait two more hours and get another call saying they cant come in at all. Thanks a lot for the wasted day Good Flow! Very unprofessional.

Victor and Fabian were extremely professional, reliable, affordable, and thorough when I needed a water heater replaced. I highly recommend L&P Plumbing. No regrets. Next time I need plumbing work, I will call them first. No question about it.

I highly recommend Connally Plumbing Inc, they did a fantastic job and problem solved my water leak. Justin L and Josh worked their tails off digging multiple trenches four feet deep for more than five hours to find a small leak in a PVC pipe that was spilling close to 400 gallons of water an hour. They didn't complain one bit and told me they'd stay out as long as it took to finish the job. That's top notch service and those two young men need a raise and some beers for their phenomenal work and respectfulness. I'm so glad I went with Connally, you all are amazing and helped me and family out tremendously solving a major issue with my house. Thank you for everything, Justin and Josh!

Really disappointed with the service we have received with this company. We made two appts to get our water softener installed, the first they showed up many hours late (think 3-4) only to tell us he needed to order at part when he finally showed up. The part was a 1.5 inch pipe sold at any hardware store. Second attempt: rescheduled for a few weeks later. Time of appt was 8am. Received a call at 10:56am stating the driver was just being dispatched 2 hours and 56 minutes after our scheduled appt of 8am he showed up at 12:48pm. Nearly 1 o'clock pm for a 8am appt. I had a dentist appt at 11:30 which I mentioned to the scheduler who called and told me she just dispatched the tech. He gets to my home to tell me he can't install our softener because there's children present and my babysitter isn't over 18. The softener is in the garage. No need to enter the home whatsoever.

Now they just simply won't answer their work phone to try to get this rectified. Bottom line: if you're keen on wasting multiple days waiting for these people to show up at their convenience, this is the your lucky day.

Gustavo came out the same day due to a clogged toilet in one of our bathrooms. He ended up removing the toilet as he was concerned with scratching it with his snake and after doing so found the problem to be a foreign object (from our 3yo) wedged inside the toilet. Unfortunately he was unable to get it un-wedged from either end which forced me to have to buy a brand new toilet, but nonetheless, was very professional, understanding and helpful. Highly recommend ROD Plumbing and thanks for the help Gustavo!

Had another A/C problem and called Blanco HVAC. They were able to work me into the schedule later that day. Richie came out and diagnosed the problem quickly but had to order a part. Armando located the part and called me to set up installation. Richie was out again and got me up and running in short order. I love these guys.

Pros for Weldon are as follows:  He is curtious and prompt.  
Cons:  Expensive for the lack of service we recieved.
We called him out to fix a leak in a bathroom shower.  He charges $120 for a service call.  We expained that when you turn the shower head on,  water leaks on the floor in the next room.  He came out,  pulled out the drain off the tub,  and said that was the problem. He said he was 99.99% sure this was the cause,  so he caulked it and left after only 10 min.  We tested the shower the next day and there was water on the floor again in the next room.  We called him and he wanted to charge another $120.00 for another service call.  I explained to him,  that he didnt fix the leak. His response was that he did fix a leak so I disagreed with him and stated that we still have the same leak that he was 99.99% sure that he fixed.  He did not even inspect the shower head or the shower spout that engages the shower head.  We feel that he ripped us off and didnt make good on his 99.99% hypothisis.  He was wrong and had no interest in making it right without charging another $120.  We will not recommend him to anyone and we will take our business elsewhere.  
I hope whomever reads this,  will take this review as credible.

I've used ABC for over ten years for pest control. Last year I had compost put on my yard and was very pleased. However, this year the application in my flower beds was more of a light dusting similar to powdered sugar. But I was later contacted and offered a redo which was completed today. Looks great and it's evenly applied!  I realize that mistakes can happen even with the best companies and I am thrilled that ABC cares enough about their customers to follow through with corrective measures! Thank you guys!

It's very hard to find an honest plumber with fair prices. Pete and his team have proven several times to be a group of plumbers who are knowledgeable, prompt to provide service within the day or day after, and with fair prices. And that is very hard to find with plumbers. Also what I love is that Pete gives you a fair set price before hand without any last minute surprises like other plumbers do.
