Coastwide Electric

Highly recommend them. I first called them a few weeks back to fix an issue in our panel where one fuse was malfunctioning. While they were here, they easily took care of two other small things. The pricing was fair.
Since then, I have called them twice for taking care of emergency stuff: once when after the massive wind and storm two weeks back, the PG&E meter simply blew up. He came right away and provided expert advice. And then this week he came over when our 240v outlet in the garage stopped working. Again, he fixed it in a few mins...and didn't even charge for either of these two visits.
It's such a blessing to have a responsive, reliable local professional in the neighborhood.

We're about to start construction on a Kitchen remodel in El Cerrito, and I feel lucky to have Mickey H. from Coastwide Electric helping fill my team.

Start from beginning .....It was so easy to make an appointment. Within couple of days I already had Mickey working in my house. My electrical problem was very complicated and involved so many parts you have to consider in order to solve a problem. I got very comprehensive explanation on what is going since I am not good at electrical stuff, so that helped to understand. Mickey saves me again. I had an existing NEMA 14-50 outlet (was installed by another company) melt while charging my car using the mobile charger. Mickey discussed options with me and ultimately I decided to go with a Tesla Wall Connector. He came out today and finished the job cleanly/quickly. Great service, great prices, and super cool guy. I contacted Mickey to install a NEMA 14-50 outlet for an electric car charger and he replied within a few minutes and came by the house to do an estimate that same day.

We scheduled the work to be done for the next day. He and his team did an excellent work all within 2 hours. Very professional. Will definitely contact him again for any other electric projects.

I called on a Sunday night with an electrical emergency. A digging project uncovered an electrical conduit much too close to the surface and -- long story short -- the main line to our ADU was damaged and making loud popping sounds. Had to shut off the power to my mom's little house and she is elderly and disabled. We ran some very long extension cords to power her house through our bathroom windows and started making phone calls. Coastline Electric answered in spite of being out of town. I explained what I'd heard about cost from another emergency electrician and he was like wow...that's crazy. Said he'd be flying back in the morning and would come out and give us a free quote. Indeed, he came right out, discussed the plan, and sent his guys out the next day -- a full day earlier than originally estimated. They showed up on time, got the work done quickly and cleanly. I typically don't do reviews but these guys totally deserve it. I had been talking to many electricians trying to find the right people for the job for some time and luckily eventually found Mickey.

He has great communication, returning all my calls and texts. He's punctual, always on time and never wasted mine. He's a knowledgeable experienced electrical professional that knows his trade. He was quick to take stock of the job and make really good recommendations on how to proceed. He knew how much work, how long it would take, and how much it would cost. He was matter of fact and no BS. He knew how to navigate the city permit process and inspections and let me know what to expect ahead of time and handled the inspector and PG&E disconnect and reconnect appointments like a pro.

He and his crew did a great job upgrading my 100 amp electrical panel to a modern 200 amp capacity.   They drove in two separate grounding rods to bring me up to code. We pulled circuits in attic for future solar panels, a big one for car charger in garage, two new multi function Panasonic whisper quiet bathroom ceiling fan/heat/light and wall switches, one for each bathroom, they are great! We pulled circuit for new heater and air conditioner to relocate in the attic, new attic light and on/off switch per code, and a new attic fan.

They also did a few side jobs while we were at it,  we cleaned up some old issues, repositioning laundry plug receptacle, new garage door opener power receptacle, and replaced 4 old can spot lights in kitchen with new sealed LED spot lights,  and grounded the water heater. They also pulled a circuit for the external air conditioner condenser in the back of the house. There might be more but that's all I can think of now.  

The whole crew was great, did great work, clean work, no shortcuts, everything was professionally done.

I was looking for a good electrician to establish a good relationship with for my current and any future electrical needs, I'm happy I found Mickey and his crew, I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

Mickey and his team did a great job.   Mickey met up with us, and gave us a firm estimate that evening.   He performed all work professionally, timely, and of excellent quality.   We will happily call them again when we are ready to do some additional projects.

We had an issue with a breaker that kept going off.  Mickey came out quickly and checked it, explaining what may be happening and advising us to save money and try the reset without replacing.  It did happen again, so he came out and replaced the breaker.   Note: we considered doing it ourselves and found it was an incredible hassle finding the right breaker at Home Depot.  Mickey had the right part and was very quick to get it installed and tested.  We feel very lucky to have found him.
I have a photo, but can't figure how to post it.  Whatever... the problem is fixed.  Mickey was nice, efficient and very fair in price!

Mickey and his crew came out to upgrade my main electrical panel, install solar panels and add an electric car charging station to my house. Mickey initially came out to give me a solar proposal and found my panel was too small to handle solar. He handled all the design, permits and even scheduling PG&E!

Everything was done very professionally and his crew was extremely clean and respectful. I added a car charger and he only charged me for the parts and not labor because his guys where there anyways to do the main panel. The price came in under my budget and I am so happy with his company!

Mickey, the owner, arrived at my house promply as he promised. Gave me an honest estimate. It was very reasonable. I did not even bother calling for another estimate because Mickey was very honest. We set up another appointment to fix what I needed. Again, he was prompt and finished the job.
The job was done in the time he suggested. It was done very clean. There were no surprise cost.

These guys are great to work with. Been doing a small remodel and need some electrical help. Came across coastwide while they were working on a neighbors house. They stopped by gave a very reasonable quote then told me they would call me as soon as they freed up to schedule. Sure enough, a few days later they called and in a few hours had our master bath all wired and working. They are great to work with.

This summer we had Coastwide install a solar system and upgrade some electrical components in our house and they did an outstanding job!  We had three quotes and they were the most affordable by a wide margin. In addition, they were able to start almost immediately, they're customer service was outstanding, and they were easy to work with. Anytime there was a potential issue they kept us here informed and they took care of all the details with permits, etc..  Its been several months since our project was completed and they are still following up to make sure we are happy with the job! I would use Coastwide again without hesitation.

I chose Coastwide Electric for a full home re-wire and a panel upgrade to 200amp. I must say working with Mickey and his crew was an amazing experience. Every single person he brought into my house was very professional and barely took any breaks. It took them 4 days to complete all of the work and I couldn't believe it. Over the last couple of years Mickey has done a few jobs at my house. He is an outstanding electrician as well as his customer service attitude is exemplary. Mickey returned my call immediately and came to home in South Salinas. I have a 100+ year old home with push button light switches, one of which was not working.
