Best Plumbing Services in California

I'm not the kind of person who normally writes Yelp reviews, but I had to in this case. The short story: I've been paying way too much to the rooter services to take care of plumbing issues and after a particularly huge bill for something that should have taken little time and effort I gave up on being ripped off and searched for the Real Deal.

I found it in The Plumber.

It's just a handful of guys from Boulder Creek, but they're the guys you want--experienced, responsive, and reasonably priced. We had a leak under our driveway that the rooter guys said would cost *thousands* to deal with. James and Steve came over, dealt with the problem in a couple of hours, and charged us well under a thousand for the work. While on the job we pointed out a couple of other issues we wanted to deal with--redoing the shutoff valve to the house and some leaking faucets--and within a week they were back, did what needed doing, and charged us a perfectly reasonable price.

These guys don't have the fancy painted trucks, the little blue booties, the clipboards, or the loyalty plans--the stuff that looks good, but is designed to drain your wallet as well as your pipes. Instead, they offer competent service. What more could you ask for?

We have a regular issue of our sewage system backing up every 1.5 years. We know the drill. I requested a quote on yelp and got the best quote from Absolute Pro Plumbing. I booked them. They came, they saw and they conquered. No hassle and I was happy with the service.

Once again, snaps, props, whistles, and cheers to fellow Yelpers for helping me select this excellent plumbing service.  I bought a water heater from Sears about a year and a half ago, and one morning this past week, I ended up without hot water. I went out to the water heater, and found that the pilot light had extinguished. So I called PGE, and they 1)  ONLY had all day appointments, without any reasonable notification of WHEN the tech would show up; and 2)  Would be delighted to help me -- sometime next week.  Ugh.  Neither of those options looked real attractive, and having to heat up water and then drag a pail into my shower to pan-shower was a drag, so I did my usual Let's see who Yelpers recommend search and came up with the Plumbing company.  The very helpful and very friendly office manager sent over CHRIS to help me out.  ALL of this was done via phone, I was busy at work.  Chris came right over, called me to tell me he was at my home, and promised to call me back when he'd finished.  Chris called back, as promised, and Chris' diagnosis was, the pilot light was on but would not stay on because the gas valve was not working -- on a year and a half old unit!  Chris was great about explaining everything to me, and offered to order the needed part, and install it, and then quoted me the price for their work, which sounded extremely reasonable.  HOWEVER, I purchased plenty of insurance for the water heater when I bought it, and I decided to make Sears live up to their warranty.  Chris gave me a very carefully documented bill, which absolutely helped me in getting Sears to replace the broken gas valve on the heater.    These folks at the Plumbing Company are as honest as they are helpful, and if I have a plumbing issue in the future, I know who I'm going to call!

We had to get hammock chair fixed indoors on my ceiling for my kid. I reached out to Nikolai, he was very responsive. Showed up and was able to get the job done on time and professionally. I'm planning to call him back for some other work at home as well.

I have used Allstate Plumbing three times based on the recommendation of
a  friend's review on yelp (installation of a new kitchen faucet, fixing the washing machine line, and unclogging a bathroom drain).  Each time I have received excellent service.  

They arrive on time and prepared.  

I couldn't ask for better service.  I highly recommend them.

The woman who answered the call was rude and not-intelligent. I am getting quotes from different plumbing companies. She cut me off when I tried to explain the situation and kept repeating we charge by time and materials. I already know that.  They need someone smart enough to listen and understand customers needs.

Kitchen sink was backed up and needed a clean out.  Luis was very quick to respond with a quote and was able to arrive within 2 hours to do the job.  He also fixed our faucet that had terrible water pressure and saved us from having to replace the whole faucet. Super nice guy and we will use him again.  HIGHLY recommended!!

On Sunday afternoon both sides of my kitchen sink were completely clogged. I spent hours trying to fix it myself by pouring hot water, vinegar, baking soda with no luck. Most business was closed on Sunday.  I saw Advanced Quality Plumbing open on weekends. I called them, their service guy came within 40 minutes. He took apart the pipe, snaked for almost half an hour, and fixed the issue. I saw lots of black gunk came out from the pipe, it's the grease accumulated over years. The service guy (sorry I didn't get his name,  I kept social distance because of the shelter in place order) was very friendly and professional.  He cleaned up the floor and cabinet afterwards, and gave me tips how to keep the drain clean. Thank you so much for the prompt and excellent service, especially during this difficult time period of covid-19. Really appreciated.

This isn;t a review, because I could not and would NEVER hire this jerk. Took forever to return calls and texts. Supplied him with a DETAILED list of jobs I wanted done, and trust me, none of them would make anyone scratch their head and wonder How long is THAT gonna take?

So he emails me back, doesn't give the requested estimate, instead asks me to take pictures of everything I want fixed first. Hey, dickwad, I'M hiring YOU - it's not a freaking audition, I'm not sending in my headshots or pictures of a bathtub drain that won't stay closed. Rude, demanding, boorish - a complete waste of time.

Professional, Courteous, available over the Holidays.  Timely and great communication.
I have used Avalon Services on three separate occasions, for three different issues and am extremely satisfied with their work.

Matt from Smash Plumbing is so reliable, responsive, and trustworthy. He has helped unclog drains, replace faucets, install new piping in the backyard, fixed leaking sinks. He is reasonably priced and does great work. It's very difficult to find a plumber that you can trust - Matt is awesome! I have recommended him to all of my friends and family.

Words can hardly describe the extra effort John made for us.  We walked in with a high-end bathroom faucet that leaked.  John took that faucet and, instead of selling us a new one, worked to fix the one we had.  He ultimately fixed it, and all we needed was a new cartridge.  
There is only one store I will go to when I need fixtures, and it's The Powder Room.  John is amazing.

Amazing service! We used the Yelp messaging service on a Saturday afternoon and they answered within 5 minutes. Raheb was then at our house within 90 minutes. Incredible.

We have some old plumbing but Raheb was able to diagnose and fix our blocked drain within an hour.

Definitely using them again. Worth every penny!

My experience with Mauro was the best it could be considering what we had to deal with; a plugged up septic system! I had called another plumber who told me they would be there by 1pm. At 1:15 they called to say they were behind schedule and would be there in 45 minutes. 1 1/2 hours later I called Mauro since no one had shown up and my calls went to voice mail. I called Mauro and the receptionist was very nice; said she would get back to me to let me know if Mauro could come that day. within ten minutes she called and told me Mauro would be at my home between 5-6. He showed up promptly at 5 and quickly assessed the situation; it wasn't roots in the clean-out from the clean-out down the hill but roots in the drain between the house and the clean-out. He had to roto-rooter the shower and the toilet several times to be sure the line was clear. Not only did Mauro do a great job in an efficient manner but he is a delightful person to talk to. He told me about his daughter as well as his family in Brazil. I was delighted with his friendly disposition and clear understanding of how to get the job done without wasting his time and my  money. I would definitely recommend Mauro and will be sure to call him if this ever happens again.

This is a great shop. They have all the rough plumbing stuff you need. It's in bins so you can walk around and pick out what you want. Really handy if you are trying to figure it out. Having Sunday hours is a huge deal. They are on my short list of suppliers for sure!

Today Savior Plumbing came to my house to take out a water tank and re connect my water heater. He was quick and efficient, professional and knowledgeable. I will definitely use them in the future. I live in Pleasanton and love supporting good local business. Thanks!!!
