One of the joys of buying an older house is having things crap out on you every now and then.  One of these was an at least 30-year old gas valve underneath our gas cooktop that started leaking gas.  PG&E came and shut down gas to our entire house, which meant no cooking, heating, or hot water until the problem was fixed.  I posted a plea for help on Yelp at 4:30 P.M. and Gator was the second vendor to respond. (The first had only one review, so I went with Gator because of the reviews.)  After a text exchange, Gator was able to come by at 7:00 P.M. that night, which allowed me enough time to get PG&E to turn my gas back on about an hour later.

My tenants had a handful of issues that popped up - toilet valve had an issue where the toilet kept running, a leak in the dishwasher vent causing water to go under and above, and an issue with the microwave range hood not delivering ventilation. I reached out to a number of handyman services and this one was quick, responsive, and able to address all three of them. They provided availability and quickly coordinated with my tenants to pick schedule. On the day of, they gave my tenants a one-hour window, were prompt, and had two repairmen show up. They finished in 45 minutes and since they were able to finish quicker than they anticipated, they actually discounted the price that they initially quoted me. All three issues were taken care of quickly, my tenants were pleased, and I would definitely use them again for future repair needs.

This guy is great!!!  I called Art Hansen early one Sunday morning in November, 2014, when my husband was away on business,  to ask if he could come to stop a wildly running toilet that could not be turned off at the wall.  I was more than pleased that Art answered the phone himself and agreed to come on the spur of the moment to help. He arrived promptly, quickly assessed the situation, and called the water company to turn the water off at the street, since it was not possible to turn it off otherwise.  He explained everything that he was doing that day and then the next day in great detail.   His charge for the 2-part/2-day work was very reasonable, and I was happy to pay it.  Art Hansen is a competent plumber and conducts himself in a very professional manner.  I will DEFINITELY call Art again, should dreaded plumbing issues arise.

The hose bibb rusted through and started leaking so I had to shut off water to the entire house. I called and left a voicemail and also texted them via the text option on their website. About 1.5 hours later (this was during a holiday, Memorial Day), Taylor called me back to schedule a two hour time window for someone to come out. Mario arrived less than an hour later. He was able to remove the rusted hose bibb and install a new one in less than 10 minutes, including the time he spent answering my questions. Maybe it was 5 minutes. I don't know exactly. It was very quick. In total, it was about 3 hours from my initial call to the repair being complete. I'm very happy with the service and would definitely call them again next time I need plumbing work done. Thank you Mario!

These guys have been my go-to plumbers for the last 10 years and every time I'm impressed. I've had some really sticky drain problems, but with Palo Alto Plumbing and Heating, they show up on time, they're finished in under an hour, and my problems stay gone. Moe in particular has given me impressive service on multiple occasions (he's been with the company for at least several years). He came fully equipped and prepared for the job, and was clean, courteous, and very professional. He double-checked my lines even after finishing with the clog I called him for because,as he put it, I'm paying for the full hour anyways, and gave me some DIY tips for addressing smaller drain issues. They also do emergency overtime/weekend service that is not that much more expensive than their usual, reasonable rates.

Josh has done many jobs at my old house.  He is honest, professional, beyond reasonable, and extremely dependable.  By far the BEST plumber in the valley!!!  Thank you Josh:-)

My tenant had a leaking/unresponsive shower handle...they're in Santa Cruz and I'm 2600 miles away...I checked Yelp and found Henry's THANK YOU!! They sent a tech out and had a big mess all tidied up in a very reasonable time.  Henry's will now be my go-to guys...tenant is thrilled and so am I!!

Very professional and on time.  I just had a small project but it was completed in a very short amount of time on a Sunday morning.  I'd recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, professional service.

Garbage disposal in my San Ramon house stopped working. I found Vince via Yelp and gave him a call. He came in 2 days later to install a brand new one, with a good reasonable price. Everything works perfect. Vince is very professional and easy to work with. High recommended!

Dan from Guy plumbing came over to fix my shower this morning.  He was very knowledgable and efficient.

We had a main sewer line backup with standing sewage water at our rear stairs exterior drain. I called 24/7 and they had Sean out within 30 mins. He was very nice and informative as to what could cause this back up. He snaked the pipes to clear the clog within 10 mins. He saw that wet wipes were pulled out from the snake and were likely the cause. Great service! Would call them again.

Great company! While they weren't able to solve our tricky problem, they were very responsive and waived our service fee due to this issue. Would recommend them!

Mike's an expert at clearing all manner of sewer and drain issues and proved that in spades dealing with out antique plumbing. He was able to snake out some angry obstruction 30+ feet from the drain, and used an LCD image probe to point out where we were getting some root interference from one of the many Redwoods on the property. We owe him a debt for certain.

Our main sewer line became clogged on Sunday.  Our street trees really like getting their roots into the sewer, so about every year and a half things get backed up.  The outfit we normally go with couldn't come out for a week.  Can't do without a toilet for that long. My wife found J B Rooter on Angie's and I'm glad she did.  Jerry was very responsive and cleared the line in short order.  Would definitely call on him again and recommend to our neighbors.

Very good plumber service. Compelled to shout out Prestige Plumbing if you are looking or need a plumber for future chaos.  Chico, who runs the show, is very personable, friendly, funny, highly customer service oriented.  Very fair with pricing.  The crew, very hard working and respectable professionals.  What struck me is they would randomly fix things that we didn't ask for and did not charge.  For example, just straight up changed our refrigerator water filter hose...the thing is a fire hose now (in a good way)!   We had to re-pipe our house with copper and replace tankless water heater.  Done in a day and now we have amazing water pressure and hot water starts instantly...I feel like a character in Plato's Allegory of the Cave. Also, no more calcium chunks clogging out faucets.  Anyhow, you can't go wrong with Chico.  Give him a shot if you are vetting plumbers.

Called BG Plumbing because our water pressure appeared to be decreasing; not an emergency however, they made the time that very afternoon to inspect. Determined low water flow was due to debris from city feed. They cleaned faucets and shower screen traps to improve flow. Then to help prevent future occurrences, they returned the following day to install a filter on the main intake line. BG Plumbing delivers quality work.

Eric is amazing to communicate,  very prompt and on time. He took time to explain everything about the install , took time and did an amazing and neat job.He is very clear on what needs to be done , not pushy at all.

The Service Technician, Levi, was courteous and professional. We needed a charging station moved and he worked diligently to get the job done on time for us. He explained everything he did and labeled the breaker box so we could easily identify the circuits. Overall we are very pleased with the level of service and quality of work provided by Levi at Pacific Coast Electricians.

Routine service, annual check with these guys who are contractor for one hour service plan. The plan charge is 20 per month. Using a power wrench, the one guy stripped the top cathode bolt and kept going until every speck of rust in the heater was let loose and completely clogged hot water system for house and required immediate replacement of water heater. Expecting two people the next day but only one shows up? Took entire day and 3400 dollars. I was suckered and don't want the same thing to happen to another senior.
