Our kitchen sink backed up in the evening and we were scrambling to find someone to fix the issue that same evening. I called a few places and no one was able to help, until I got a hold of Nick. Nick was getting ready to go home for the evening, but he could tell how badly we needed to get things fixed, and so he agreed to drive over (40 min drive) and make the needed repairs. He was incredibly professional and nice. Our pipes ended up having to be replaced too and Nick went to Home Depot so he could finish the repairs that same evening. We were really happy with his services and would highly recommend him.

Davis Plumbing is a business you can count on, while a simple concept, it's easier said than done.

Steve, the owner is a capable, responsive and reliable businessman. They took care of a small project with care and a high level of competence.  The price was lower than his phone estimate.

I've used On Time Plumbing twice now and they have been great each time.  I called today because of a leak in a water pipe leading to our water heater.  Cesar was able to come by within a couple of hours and promptly fixed the leak for a reasonable price.

After he left, I noticed some problems with the hot water flow and thought maybe there was still some issue with the water heater.  I called On Time back after hours, expecting that I would need to leave a voicemail.  Instead, someone picked up (sorry didn't get the name) and graciously walked me through the issue via facetime.  Turns out I just needed to let the hot water run for a while to get some air out of the system as the water heater had been drained to fix the leak.

I will definitely use On Time again for future plumbing needs.  Highly recommended!

I sing the praises of Warranted Plumbing Services!

At 6:30 this morning, a Friday, I found water all over a portion of my garage floor. The water heater had begun to leak. We all know a water leak is bad, right?

I called my home warranty to open a claim. Several hours later, I talked to the contractor the warranty company assigned to my case. Very sorry, but the soonest he could get to my home was the following Wednesday, 6-ish days away

I complained to my home warranty company. They made some calls, and then amended it to Well, we can have someone out there on Monday.

Again, this is FRIDAY, and we all know a water leak is bad, right? At this point, I am 7 hours in. It is after 1 PM on a Friday.

Desperate and anxious, I came here to Yelp, deciding to ditch my warranty company.

Warranted Plumbing Services had great ratings, so I gave them a call. The office dispatcher said she could have someone out to my house in 45 minutes. I was so grateful and relieved, I had tears in my eyes when I thanked her.

Luis Chavez arrived, and I instantly felt calm. He expertly assessed the situation: yes, I needed a new water heater. He explained all of the required work in great detail. He, and his associate Elwin got right to work.

Due to bureaucratic nonsense, the company that I pay a monthly fee to failed me.

Warranted Plumbing Services came right in, fixed the problem, and restored my household to normalcy.

They came on a Sunday, price was reasonable, they did a great job!

1500 sq foot home in Sacramento w/ Kitec piping that needed to be replaced with a high quality PEX and copper. We had offers for replacement that varied by $9000 and that that did not include putting the walls back together. ARS came in near the low end of our lowest bid and put the wall back w/ texture. They were fast and efficient. The plumbing was replaced in a day and the walls done in 2 days. Very happy we saw their ad. Saved us time and money.

Adrian is a rock star in this business.   He is my new go to water heater guy.   Can't recommend him strongly enough

The current more than 10 years old water tank got water leak to floor. Looking for quick service in the market, Alex is one response and offer same day service with tank purchased from home Depot. Arrived on time and detail description to whole process and out-of-order parts replacement suggestion. He performs the state of the art skill and also fixed the previous incorrect installation. Within 3 hours, the new water tank was replaced and back to working status. Highly recommend to use the service.

They responded extremely quickly and were willing to come to my house almost right away that evening in response to an emergency. They found the leak right away and stopped it. They returned first thing in the morning to replace the cracked irrigation valves and completed the repair. I definitely recommend them and I will call them again when needed.

Installed a new water heater as my previous one had failed. They are incredibly nice, on time, and able to do work quickly to get hot water back in my house!

Victor and Juan identified the problem and gave me a reasonable quote, performed the repair in record time.
They were professional but friendly and clearly communicated what was going to be done. When finished they cleaned the area and made sure that everything was back in its place. I will definitely use this company again in the future.

This review took far too long to post and I apologize. Anyway I just wanted to give a glowing review to this most excellent handyman who went above and beyond during his visit.

Because I have bad arthritis and my wife has MS we can't really do all of the tasks around the house we used to. So every now and then we have to hire a handyman which hasn't always had the greatest result. However this time we were very pleased with the service and anticipate calling him back again soon to a couple more things.

We specifically called in order to get help in installing a wall TV mount and also mounting a wall lamp. We also needed to tall bookcases earthquake strapped 2 wall studs. The main issue with our apartment being that the studs are very strange and not always where you would expect them to be based on any reasonable kind of construction normals. He was able to find studs for our mounts and get everything installed in very short order as well as attaching the earthquake straps to our bookshelves. While he was doing this he actually went to the trouble of showing how I could figure out using a tape measure in particular measurements to find the studs in our weirdo apartment.

So we would like to give a great recommendation to this most excellent jack of all trades. His costs were also very reasonable and actually less than the last handyperson we used who was a complete disaster. They were up in Seattle though so you don't have to worry about them.

I have finally got around to writing this yelp review!!  I used Simply Green Plumbing when it only had 4 reviews at 5 stars back in 2011!!

My first service call was on May 7, 2011.  I went on Yelp and called every plumber listed in order of the Yelp hierarchy and Simply Green happened to be the last one listed for my area.  I had an emergency clogged sink in my home that I just purchased and no plumber could come by the same day on a Saturday except Simply Green.  Russell was extremely nice and immediately took the service to help me in my need.  I recently moved from Austin and was accustomed to Austin prices : ), so I originally thought it was a bit on the high side but well worth it since it was an emergency.  Now that I have lived in the Bay Area for over two years, it is a completely fair price, not to mention great service.

Due to Russell's help and great job on the sink clog, as soon as I had another plumbing issue, which was the same month on Mary 24th, 2011, I immediately called Russell for a garbage disposal replacement.  I was lucky that he came prepared and already had a replacement part in his truck so that I could immediately get it fixed.  He gave me great advice that day, don't Feed the garbage disposal, which I kept telling my husband and finally got a professional to agree with me!  It has been a great arguing tool ever since ; )!  

After fixing my clogged sink and garbage disposal back in 2011, and taking his non feeding advice, which my husband still violates : ), my sink and garbage disposal has been hassle free!

It has been nice to see that Russell's business has grown since those times and I am pleasantly surprised to see more trucks with Russell and his wife Lisa around town in Los Gatos.  I came from a city (Austin) that is all about supporting local business owners and I was glad to see that same level of trust and quality in California!  

My husband Ed and I have referred Russell to several family members since that time and I am not surprised by all the great reviews on yelp.

Really, No stars. Worst service ever. Left us with a leaky basement cuz he really doesn't know what to do to reseal entrances after he's installed new pipe leading to the outside egress line. Ghosted us for 3 days then he shows up with rocks (?) to seal the hole. Not even smart enough or helpful enough to either offer us a partial refund or help us sand bag the area before the next storm. Do NOT use this business. Not all small businesses have integrity. Lesson learned. My 68 year old husband  and I have been dealing with the considerable fallout !! Basement soaked two times since this work was completed . Now wondering why or how he's managed to get  such good reviews. Have u all looked to see if your crawl space is dry ?

I was having issues with washing machine drainage and some leaking. Turned out to be a 2 issue deal, the appliance repair guy fixed the rubber gasket on the front and recommended some drain snaking. My handyman did it and found a plastic plumbing fitting in the drain which he removed, but still had concerns about it. I was not about to  take any chances on ruining my beautiful new bamboo floors so I went onto Yelp and found Johnny. He showed up early, put on his booties to protect my floor, told me to run the washer, and went down into the dirt area under the house to look for leaks. everything seemed to be ok, one of the pipes was 1/2 smaller in diameter than the 2 he recommended but that it wasn't a big deal. He also looked at a mysterious drip that came and went from the roof area that I thought might be related to the shower, but he thought it was dampness from the roof and gave me a recommendation for a roofer. He spent a good 1/2 hour doing all this and talking to my BF who was very thorough with his questions, and would not take any payment when he left. Very professional and personable. I would not hesitate to contact him with any future job, and as a new homeowner, am happy to add his card to my list of professionals!

I've used Reed Plumbing twice at two different houses. Both times they have done great work, left the place clean and charged me a fair price. I will definitely call them again for any future plumbing needs.

Never showed up after signing up for job. They asked for all details and just closed the work ordee

My garbage disposal had an inglorious death this weekend. Looked on Yelp to find some good reviews of plumbers and saw San Jose Plumbing and Done Right Rooter. Called Done Right Rooter and left a VM. Then I called San Jose Plumbing on a Sunday and left them a VM. Got a call back from San Jose Plumbing within an hour with a super helpful lady. She urged that if it was not an emergency, to wait until Monday to get a technician out since weekends are time and a half. Not many companies give you that information as they would rather get someone out and charge you the time. She also gave me tips on how to minimize cost, i.e. if I went and got a new unit, it would save time and $$ as well.

Got a call Monday morning as planned to schedule the appointment. The technician, Luis, called an hour before the scheduled appointment to see if he could come early since he was finished with his prior job. After arriving, Luis looked to see if he could fix the old unit but to no avail. He then promptly installed the new unit as well as tightened some loose pipe joints under the sink.

Overall, an excellent experience. Luis was professional, kept the work area clean, and hauled away all the debris afterwards. They even gave me a 10% discount for mentioning that I found them on Yelp!

San Jose Plumbing also warranties their work for 30 days. This is a great company and would call them again for any plumbing issues.

P.S. It's Wednesday and have not heard back from Done Right Rooter. I guess my job was too small for them. What a shame.
