I had a major issue with tree roots obstruction.
Tim came out, diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly.
It was a major issue, required digging up my front yard etc.

We are extremely satisfied with the work provided by Tim Vu and his crew Angel and David at RPS.

When our sewer backed up, an inspection by RPS hours later revealed mud inside our sewer line. Our home had its sewer line redone by the previous owner less than 10 years ago, but it failed at a joint due to bad workmanship. Muddy soil from recent rain was clogging the line.

We opted for a full replacement. The previous job was done without permits and without a property line cleanout -- and the replacement would be with permits, with a property line cleanout, and would fix all of the previous line's grading issues.

The cost was very reasonable for the amount of work needed. We were quoted a similar amount by another plumber who would not have pulled permits.

RPS completed this major project on time and on budget. They even were extra careful to work around our landscaping by relocating small plants, using care excavating around trees, and using pipe burst as much as possible to avoid digging up the entire line. The pipe burst occurred during a massive rain storm and they stayed late into the evening to have everything ready for an early city inspection the next morning. The team restored our landscaping and took care to ensure the backfill was properly compacted.

After the work was complete, Tim was super helpful in providing statements required by our insurance company to have the work reimbursed. This was in addition to extremely detailed notes and photographs (over 40 pages including photos) of the work in progress Tim and his team already provided. We are especially thankful for all of these details because it clearly demonstrated evidence of a covered loss. We would have been unable to access thousands of dollars of insurance benefits if these detailed photographs were not provided.

We are about to begin more work on our property and I am very glad to be extending a properly graded and installed system which was inspected by the city with proper permits.

We used RPS a couple time so far. The first time we needed some work done under our kitchen sink before we could have our new dishwasher installed. Tim came out and took great care of us; he was extremely thorough and personable during the process. We enjoyed him so much, we personally requested him when we needed to repair one of our bathroom faucets. Highly recommend RPS and would strongly suggest to request Tim. You won't be disappointed.

They charge $49 for coming out and charge $189 for analyzing the issue. In my case, I was told I needed to replace a second part of the cartridge in the faucet. I bought the part and replaced it myself.

Not sure where to start with RPS, they did a fabulous job at repairing what I needed!  My home is an older home and needed a sewer cleanout to comply with the city code.  So Dave N. and another gentlemen came out to inspect my home and sure enough they found out that I needed a sewer cleanout installed on the property since there wasn't one present.  So I setup an appointment to have that installed and the very next day David M. came out and installed my new sewer cleanout.  

In less than 48 hours they came out to my home, made an inspection, setup an appointment, came back and completed the work to be done. RPS was quick, easy to talk to, very friendly, and were honest people.  I would absolutely go back to them and recommend them for any other future plumbing services.

I want to thank David the service plumber and the rest of the RPS team for the hard work and great experience in an emergency plumbing problem I had. Toilets overflowed on me and a plunger was not effective. I scrolled on line and couldn't get through to any plumbers. RPS was responsive and efficient when they answered and got me scheduled for same day service! Very professional office communication and the service plumber David that showed up was very professional about the plumbing problem and very polite in regards to being in my home. Wore boot covers and cleaned up the area real well. Great hard working company that took care of me!

I cannot say enough good things about Tim and his crew.
I recently purchased an old home, and I knew the pipes were old. Since I was going to do other renovations, I decided to update the plumbing at the same time.
Tim came out and performed an inspection, and gave me very clear recommendations. He explained everything so I understood why he was recommending the updates. He was able to give me a quote within 48hrs, and the quote was very clear; every service was broken down.
They were able to get started within a couple weeks of my inspection, which was surprising considering how many people are doing renovations these days.
Tim and his crew were very professional and courteous; they always wore booties when inside the house, and kept a clean workspace. I was away from the house while they were working, but my neighbors all mentioned how polite and quiet they were.
Tim kept me informed every step of the way, and even found me opportunities to save when possible; I never felt upsold or talked down to.
The final work looks organized and neat, and they took away all old pipes, as well as cleaned up the areas they worked in.
I highly recommend Tim, and I will definitely be calling him when I have additional work to be done.

Superlative service on a difficult job, detecting a leak. After finding it, I received an initial quote but was it reasonable? Like most consumers, I
wasn't sure but the quote was in the cost range and Tim thoroughly explained all my options. Turns out, the cost was out of pocket and the area was behind the water heater in the back of our water heater/furnace closet.
After excavation and moving the heater, they discovered the problem, a good sized hole in one of pipes underneath the flooring. The team (Tim, David and Angel went to work, planning, analyzing, cleaning and turned a possible 2 day job into 1, and I was more than satisfied with the superb workmanship that they did. It is comforting to know I have found a company I can trust. They are reasonable, professional, thorough and courteous, all

We took a friend's recommendation to call RPS Ribbs Premiere when our home started having problems draining, and we could not have found a better partner in resolving our home's plumbing issues.

Of everyone we reached out to, Henry and his team were the most courteous, responsive, and fair. We also appreciated how informative Henry was, explaining clearly each step he took in resolving the issues in our home's plumbing. The quality of work was also impressive. I can't recommend Henry, his office manager Sara, and the rest of the RPS Ribbs Premier team enough.

We wanted to do a water re-pipe, and I was calling plumbers to get the house inspected. R.P.S charge $49 for coming over and inspecting, while many do not. From reviews, R.P.S looked good, and I thought to get a quote and hand them over the job.
Plumber  Xavier Galvez came over. Rather than inspecting the house professionally he simply kept saying three words -- This is weird. He didn't want to go into crawl space, didn't want to do any real inspection.
Please avoid inspection from this company especially Xavier Galvez.

Top 3 plumbers ever: Mario, Luigi, and David (from RPS plumbing)  

We originally called them as our water had a smell to it.  They came out, inspected our pipes, and ultimately we needed to have the house fully re-pipped (the house had original pipes from 1968 still).  A big undertaking and one I know nothing about, but David walked me through everything, including showing me the inside of our current pipes (EWW!).  His team were professional, always wore masks and kept the inside of our house clean, worked quick and neatly, and did an excellent job.  We are thrilled with the work they did and can actually notice a difference with our water once they were done.  

David, and his team were excellent and I would highly recommend them for any plumbing job, big or small.

Had to get a water softener tank and pressure regulator valve for the house water connection replaced. Called in bunch of service providers but Jonathan was the guy who gave me the honest inputs and from the beginning to end was great; professional but casual enough which is a great mix. Confident but practical and gave me honest inputs. TBH was totally surprised to see a young guy so skilled. RPS has my plumbing business going forward.

We had a rocking toilet that needed a proper fix as it wasn't actually holding on to anything in the ground anymore. The job was done very well and all the communication was great! Absolutely recommend RPS.

Service was great, they came time. Went under the house found the leak, found a second leak at the wall where water line is for the washer. They showed me videos of the leaks, explaining everything and what was needed. The returned the next day and fixed in a timely manner. Had a house that needed to be re-piped ASAP...like the water blocked all the the faucets. Thomas and Carlos came to the rescue. They were very attentive to my needs and made sure that everything got done properly.  Sara was also very resoonsive. We had a leak coming from our toilet which we tried to fix ourselves by replacing the wax ring. During that repair we found the flange was broken and needed replacement. We reached out to R.P.S (and several other providers) for a quote. R.P.S. was very responsive, extremely courteous, and did very high quality work.

David was on time to our appointment window, wore shoe covers to protect our house, did a quick eval of the situation, and was able to repair immediately during the consult. He was very polite and professional!

The repair came with a 5 year warranty which is great, especially since we chose to do the partial repair rather than a full replacement of the flange (planning to remodel soon!). Even the invoicing process was easy, I received pictures of the work for my records and R.P.S keeps copies for reference if needed in the future as well. It was so easy to work with R.P.S I highly recommend them!

I reached out for a sewer line replacement. The initial engagement was quick. There were some hiccups in setting up an appointment for a free estimate, but it was quickly sorted out. When the technician came, I was told that I needed to pay $199 for him to run his camera and figure out how much would it cost. I had clearly mentioned what service I wanted and if the estimate was free why should I pay for it. Also, if their model is to assess thoroughly and then provide an estimate, they should have mentioned that upfront. It was a waste of time on both sides. Eventually, I went with someone else, who was very professional from start to finish.

David & Javier came out today for a cleanout backup.  I can't imagine going anywhere else for plumbing problems. We have used this business a few times and every time they are so nice, on time, respectful, they know what they are doing, and.....they don't try to overcharge you for the work they do!  So many businesses up their fees as soon as they see where you live or your zip code.  RPS Ribbs is the BEST! Anyone going somewhere else is CLUELESS!!

R.P.S. was very quick to respond and send out a crew to fix a non-emergency. They were quick and thorough in their work. Professional and respectful.  The work completed was well done!

Very responsive and communicative business. I have used many plumbers over the years and none has been as good at keeping you as apprise  as to timing of service and as to what they are doing.  China kept me posted as to the estimated arrival time and Angel, the technician, was very good at letting you know what is going on and explaining your options.  They were not the cheapest but they were not expensive. Reasonably close.  Will definitely use again.

I needed my sewer line replaced. Never a fun prospect. I've used R.P.S. Ribbs Premier Services for a few small jobs and was very pleased with their work. Joseph and his crew did a great job with the sewer line also. Very professional and conscientious about Covid protection. I will use them again in the future.

It was really easy to message through Yelp and book an evaluation. Thomas came and helped me check the kitchen sink, which has had low water pressure for years. He did not try to overstate the issue at all, simply explained my options of installing a new faucet myself or order one and pay for installation. Going to give it a shot ourselves and call them back if the issue persists, happy to have found an honest and practical business in case more plumbing issues arise in this house.

I used them to replace an anti siphon valve since they had a good yelp rating. The work was done well and the problem was fixed. I am giving them 3 stars for the following. They rescheduled  couple of times. Luckily my wife was available and was able to accommodate. Next i feel they are very expensive. Luckily i was able to use a yelp coupon but still it was on the higher side. I would recommend to shop around if you are looking for good value. An hour job was quoted close to $400 with parts and labor. The part based on some initial search was worth max $50.

Used RPS a couple times, this last visit was tub waste assembly replacement, new valve to fix tub to shower water pressure, and new tub faucet fixtures etc. It looks good, works well, and appreciate their patience and expectation setting while I tried to coordinate with another company that only does tub refinishing. I saw David initially and worked the most with Jonothan and Thomas. Appreciate the thorough explanations, cost quoting, and review of the crawlspace etc. as part of scoping. Only note, if you are coordinating with a separate non-plumbing company, don't mix the emails. The other company attachments somehow filter your emails out so I had to call the mainline to get back in touch and figure out why no one was replying lol. Anyway they are great though.

Had them come by for a last minute repair to a leaking drainpipe. Joseph was prompt, knowledgeable, and friendly. I would wholeheartedly recommend them. He was able to fix my drain in one visit.

David was great. We had a water main burst below our driveway. David was able to find the leak location, make a small cut down to it through the concrete, repair it, and patch the concrete to look as if he was never there. Amazing service.

I noticed that the toilet in my guest bathroom at my home had a slow leak last week.  We tried to replace the wax ring and flange ourselves by watching YouTube videos which was a huge mistake and created more problems.  I did a search on yelp and found R.P.S. Ribbs Premier Services which had excellent reviews and called for someone to come out.  I also noticed that their location was literally across the street from my home which was a big plus and made an appointment at my earliest convenience when I could schedule time off to be home from work.  

The morning of my appointment, Patrick arrived right on time.  When he came out the first time, he indicated that because we had created more of a problem, they might have to cut the floor and replace the pipes, dry wall, etc. and would very expensive.  I was stressing out!  He then called David to come by and ask his views if there was something they could do to avoid having to cut through the drywall, etc.

After reevaluating the problem, Patrick and Ernie returned in the afternoon and was able to fix the problem without having to do any damage to the floor.  (Thank goodness!) It did take a few hours, but it was well worth it rather than having to cut down the floor, etc.

After they did what they had to do, they noticed the toilet actually had to be replaced because the ceramic had a slow leak through a crack.  I went ahead and bought a new toilet, and  Ernie came by to install it a week later (due to my work schedule) which works perfectly.

Next time, I'll make sure to call them rather than trying to fix the plumbing problems ourselves.  I truly recommend Patrick and Ernie of R.P.S. Ribbs Premier Services.  Not only did they do a great job, but are also very professional, friendly, reliable, and knowledgeable of their work.

No more leaks! I can finally enjoy my shower again. Prompt service, great crew (thank you Angel!) at reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Last minute service on a fridge water line. Both guys were great (David and Ernie) giving me very clear guidance on a quote and next steps. Water line was old and they didn't have the parts. This didn't change the quote and they quickly went out to buy them and helped get everything installed. Professional and thorough. (and of course wore masks and shoe covers the whole time)

We had multiple issues with our water and natural gas pipes.  Another plumber quoted about $20K for the needed work.  We had a couple of other plumbers in to see what they thought was needed.

Joseph checked things out for us, and gave us an estimate of about $4500 for the same work.  Another plumber quoted less, but for less-comprehensive repairs.

Joseph and his team showed up in the morning and got to work.  They were courteous, professional, and solved the problems.  I am very happy with the work that they did.  It has been less than a week, and I hope that I am just as pleased in 5 or 10 years as I currently am with their work!

Johnathan and Thomas did a great job quoting and installing a water softener I had purchased from Amazon into my home that hadn't had a softener system previously. They ran dedicated water lines through the crawlspace to my hose outputs and irrigation lines and installed the system and drainage line in a way that worked best with my needs and the layout of the house. Overall they were very professional, kept me in the loop with the activity going on, and did high quality work. Will be using them again for anything I need!

Very professional and showed up in masks. David and Angel took time to understand the issue (my drain snake cable had broken inside the drain) and explained various repair options and steps. Did very clean job in accessing drain pipe through ground floor ceiling (moved furniture, covered floor coverings in plastic sheet, etc.) and cleared out the broken snake and cleaned the drain blockage. Very pleased with David and Angel's work, would highly recommend them.

Nice employees (person on the phone and two plumbers who came to my house). I ordered the heater myself, paid to have it delivered, and drained the old one myself. I thought I was going to save some money by doing these things. Caveat emptor. It took the tech about 2 hours to put my new water heater in, and I paid just barely under one thousand dollars. No discount at all for my saving them time and effort. I'd love a job that paid ME that much, but I don't know if I would be able to respect myself...

So after such a great experience with the first hose bibb (see earlier review), I decided to have these guys do some other repairs that were also needed. I needed a new wax ring on one of the toilets (plus the toilet and tank needed tightening down) and two other hose bibbs needed to be replaced.

I sent them a message via their web site and didn't hear back for a couple of weeks. Not sure what went wrong there, but they somehow never received it or never responded. Sent them an inquiry via yelp on a Saturday evening and had a reply within a few minutes. I explained what was needed and we agreed on a timeframe Monday morning for them to come out. I mentioned that Dave had been out before and knew the property. I also mentioned that he'd know what was needed for the hose bibbs as they were identical to the previous repair, but without me messing them up first this time. (yeah, I made a hash of trying to rebuild the first one before calling them)

They sent two people out for this one... Dave and a guy Dave was training (whose name I unfortunately forget). Anyway, Dave went to work on the hose bibbs and the other guy tackled the toilet. (yeah, the new guy gets the worse job... RHIP I guess.)

Both of them were very careful and considerate of my house at all times. The repairs were completed very quickly, but not at all rushed. There have been no issues with the repairs and I'm again very satisfied with working with RPS.

Hopefully I won't need any more plumbing work any time soon, but if I do, these are definitely the guys I'm going to call. Local, Family Run, Friendly, and Excellent customer service at a good price. Hard to beat that combination.

My kitchen sink was clogged so I tried Drano as well as snaking it ourselves but it still didn't do the trick. I was skeptical about getting a plumber out for a minimal job, but I'm glad I did!

I contacted RPS through Yelp and they were great at responding and answering my questions. I booked the appointment for the next day. Something I greatly appreciated was the office calls you when the technician is on the way. Joseph was the technician that came out to assess and complete the job. He even wore booties without me having to request it!! :) Definitely friendly and professional.

Always great to know there is a plumbing service nearby I can call for future issues!

David and his crew are the best. Communicative, fast responses, friendly, and they explain everything they're doing. I have had a major house reconstruction after a leak, and RPS has done everything at my house from re-piping, moving a water line for my kitchen under the slab foundation, installing a main water shutoff, installing toilets, kitchen plumbing, and fixing a gas line mistake made by another contractor. Of all the workers I've had at my house over the past 6 months, RPS stands out for their work quality and customer service. Due to old plumbing, I've used about 6 or 7 different plumbing companies over the years, and RPS is by far the best. They also take all COVID precautions and clean up after all work. I will recommend them to anyone I know who needs a plumber and use them exclusively in the future.

Very pleased with the services this business provided for me today. I had been dealing with a loud water pipe issue off an on for years. They were able to come do a free diagnostic (on a July 4th holiday) which was great as I had a rare day off.
The tech assessed the noises and felt they were related to a valve in the back of the toilets which he was able to replace, and also assured everything was under warranty and to please call if any future problems. I was very grateful, and impressed with their friendliness and professionalism.

Our sink clogged because glass shattered down the drain and somehow disengaged the garbage disposal switch.
Joe came over and he was efficient, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I reached out to 4 companies in total but I'm glad I stuck with R.P.S. Also, the two women who helped me over the phone were great with following up.
Only con is that I called around 9am and was told the technician would show up between 3-5pm. I thought I would get a call around 2:30pm to let me know the technician was on their way. Nothing happened until 5:30pm when I called a third time to see what was going on.
Because Joe's service was fast and helpful; I
would still give them another call if plumbing services are needed.

Joseph did a great job!  He gave a few options depending on what we wanted to get done currently.  Very professional, honest, and fair.  I will recommend RPS to my friends whenever they need plumbing issues fixed.

David assisted me over the phone to help me with a quick question about replacing a water hose hookup for my fridge. It was very nice of him for saving the hassle of scheduling such a quick job. I will for sure go back to these guys for any future plumbing needs!

We had someone from RPS come out to fix a drain. The actual work was fine; the person who came a good job identifying the source of the leak and coming up with an innovative way to repair it that prevented us from having to take on a much larger project. My one star review is because we have been trying for the the last three weeks to get a copy of the invoice, which we need for tax purposes, and the office manager has not responded to multiple phone calls. At this point we're still waiting to hear back; if we can get a copy of the invoice/receipt mailed to us, then we'd be able to provide a review just on the quality of the work done

David Ribbs and Ribbs plumbing are the go to guys for all your needs!!! He was early fast and it was honestly way cheaper than thought it would be!!!

I used them in January for a faucet replacement. They did such a good job, when my washing machine drain pipe started to backup I called them again. This time Thomas did the work. He explained to me what he was doing and why. He did a great job and I highly recommend them.

This is the second time that we have used this fantastic Company for our plumbing needs.  

For this segment, I called and was greeted by a caring voice and she (forgot her name, sry)was able to schedule an afternoon appointment on the same day.

Joseph Salazar arrived between the times requested and he was able to complete installing my garbage disposal.  What he did in 30 minutes had taken most of my day.

This review is long overdue.  
In the latter part of 2016, my girlfriend had a major plumbing issue.
We had an add on to her house, which by the way was done by a friend of mine who is the owner of his own company.
She always had problems with a line backing up.
So we did some research and decided to call David ( R. P. S ) and we both are very glad that we did.
From the start, I got a good vibe from David.
This young man came across to me as a true professional. I believe he mentioned that he is the fifth generation of plumbers in his family and it shows.
Very honest, fair and professional.
David and another gentleman took care of the problem at my gf's house without taking any shortcuts.
Since then, the back up issue has not reoccurred.

I had a minor problem with my toilet leaking at the base. David told me that the wax ring would need replacing and possibly the flange may need replacing as well.
After removing the toilet, he discovered that the flange was good and all that needed replacing was the ring.
I appreciate this mans honesty and work ethic. I will most definitely be calling him for all of my plumbing issues in the future.
Oh, and he upgraded the waterline with braided hoses without me even asking.

I stepped into the garage today and smelled gas coming out of the water heater. I called RPS and in less than an hour Tim showed up at our place.  Within 10 min he had diagnosed where the leak was, determined the parts he would need and provided an estimate for the cost of repairs.  We agreed to proceed with the repairs and about 15 min later he was done with the work.  He was polite, safe (wore a mask and kept his distance) and amazingly efficient.  I could not have asked for more.  Tim - you set the service standard today my friend.  Thank you and thank you RPS.

Did great work at a good price. Skilled services in the Bay Area are all expensive, but RPS was fair for the area. Made the transaction easy on me as it could be. I highly recommend.

I was looking to have my water softener installed. I had a couple of proposals from other contractors. But David and Isaac provided a solution I was happy with. The drain pipe was not tighten properly after installation and they sent another guy and fixed it immediately.

Dave and Ernie were super friendly and gave fantastic customer service. They came to my house to help me with a couple of shower leaks, and while they couldn't fix my problem (because it would involve breaking the bathroom floor tiles and accessing the underneath of the shower, in other words, an entire remodeling project), they were nice enough to give good advice on several other issues we had with our new home. Best part - they didn't charge us the service fee even though we took about 30 mins of their time. When it's time to do other projects in the home, my wife and I will be sure to contact them again.

Patrick and Isaac were great!  Very friendly people!  They installed my faucet in superspeed and I'm very happy with the job!  The silicon job was not as neat but hey they threw it in for free for me so I'm not complaining :)

My bathtub faucet was leaking, so I asked for an online quote from 4-5 nearby plumbers through Yelp. RPS was the first to get back to me, so I asked them to come over to inspect the problem and provide their free estimate. The dispatcher was very professional, and they said they would be able to come today itself, anywhere between 3-5 PM. That's about where the pleasantries ended.

As 5 PM approached, I reached out to RPS and they notified me that their plumber was running late. No big deal, I understand that happens.

The plumber shows up at 6:30 PM and says he has forgotten shoe covers and the tool to turn on and off the water flow to the house. We were able to work around that, and that was a non-issue.

Now we get to the worst part: he estimates $690 for a cartridge replacement, and $1800 for some valve-thing fix if the cartridge replacement doesn't work. We say no and he heads out. He comes back and says he has talked to his supervisor and they can replace the cartridge for $375, but the potential $1800 fix might still be needed.

We said no, bought a replacement cartridge for $50, talked to a Home Depot employee for 20 minutes, and fixed the faucet ourselves in 30 minutes.

I am 100% sure they estimated $690 and $375 based on the location and condition of our house. When I reached out to the 4-5 plumbers, one of them said they would charge $275 for a cartridge replacement online.

I would look elsewhere for your plumbing needs.

I had Dave at Ribbs  come out to fix a leak under one of my bathrooms. He gave me a price upfront performed the work and even took the time to inspect my entire system under the home. Showed me pictures of everything else under the home and  told me everything was fine. Very honest and profesional I will be using this guys again. Thanks you Dave!!!  oh and NIcky loved the dog treats you left for him.

Jonathan of RPS did an excellent job in fixing our kitchen and laundry drain leak. He carefully explained what the problem was and what needed to be done. He provided pictures and even a video of the crawl space where the leak was. He communicated with us very well answering all our questions in a timely manner. He and his crew arrived on time, carried out the repair efficiently and cleaned everything up at the end. Had a plumbing/gas issue @ my investment property....called RPS and they were able to confirm a date and time that worked for me. They told me that they would call me when they were about 20 mins away...and they actually called! Unlike other places that say this and never actually do, it was good to see that this company actually followed through with what they said they would. Joe & Isacc explained the work they would be doing prior to beginning, and gave me an estimate for the services, and we even exchanged text message updates as they went along. Overall, great communication, follow up, and service.

I had a clogged sink because the garbage disposal was not working properly, and David came to our rescue. I made my request on a Friday, and they were available on the same day. However, I requested that they come on Saturday instead to avoid taking time off work, which they kindly did. David was respectful and wore booties without me asking. He assessed the situation, and told me it would be a quick fix rather than replacing the entire garbage disposal (whew), and sure enough he fixed it. Thank you David!

Called this place based on the yelp reviews...the dispatch chick who answered was nice and professional...i think her name was Bernadette ..i had to ask her twice.havnt heard that name since the 80s..anyways my husband tried to fix the toilet himself which landed me having to shop around for plumbers....very stressful ..but she was very helpful...when patrick showed up to my house he was very nice and professional, got the job done right! and cleaned up his mess (which for some reason ppl who work at ur house dont like to do) id def refer this place to everyone

I used RPS to install a pressure regulator and Flo smart water shutoff. They recommended a more cost effective way of installing the shutoff that saved me $2K over competitors quote. Quality of work is excellent, left my place clean and walked me through the install. Really impressed with their work and their pricing was very good. Highly recommend.

Had R.P.S. come out for a free quote on a leak today. Prompt response citing a 2 hours window. Arrived well within the 2 hours time slot, located and fixed our leak. While I did not get a chance to talk to David, my dad sounded pleased with the transaction. David discounted $50 at the end of the job even though I failed to purchase a yelp voucher. This is much appreciated given my parents are on a fixed income. We will be keeping R.P.S. contacts handy for future plumbing needs.

Jacob did a great job installing my faucet. Work was quoted as a fixed price for the job so I felt no pressure. I could ask questions and such. Price was middle of the road. No surprises.

From my first interaction w/ them via phone to my in-person experience w the technician has been nothing short of amazing. R.P.S is a good plumbing company which are honest, professional and most importantly have great customer service. Jordan was a pleasure to work with, he is very enthusiastic, hardworking and has a very positive attitude.Jordan took the trouble to do a free inspection of the plumbing and sewer line in the crawl space, which I am glad he did as there were a fewvproblem spots discovered which required fixing.
They aren't the cheapest price wise, but does quality work and have great warranty on work done.
Work done: replace garbage disposal unit, replace leaky exterior faucet with new copper pipe and new shut off valve and replace and repair leaking toilet outlet area.

Patrick, the tech, showed up on time to my appointment and helped with the leak in my house. Professionally suggested different options and pricing was fair. They have a great Yelp deal going on right now, so take advantage of it if you have a big repair. I would recommend them!

We had some major safety issues with my water heater which was incorrectly installed by another contractor. My colleague recommend me David, gave him a call and he came the very  next morning to inspect. He was very dedicated and he inspected my whole house plumbing rather than just the heater hookups.

In a few days David, Ernie & Patrick were at my place with all the supplies. Half way through David figured out that a few concealed pipes started rusting and he didn't want to leave it like that. The original timeline got stretched by a day and David was kind enough to reschedule another appointment to ensure that he completed the job he already started. Also he accommodated my requests to fix my washer dryer hook ups as well as install my new water purifier.

David, Ernie and Patrick were very dedicated and knew exactly what they are doing. David ensures that he explains every detail so that we understand what they were doing. These guys know exactly what to do and how to get it done.

I'll definitely go with David and team for all my plumbing needs in the future.

We had some unknown water leak from our rain drain system outside, could not figure out where the leak was.  Called David and he walked around pretty much guessed where it could be and explained about how the French drain works.  As leak maybe under the concrete he recommended his buddy Jeremy from Bullseye leak detection.  Jeremy came with his all that fancy equipment and marked near our softener.  Later David came back and cut the concrete and found the water but not the leak point.  He explained his buddy from bullseye did not accurately point the location. My options were just bypass old piping and reconnect the softener or just bypass all together.  I chose bypass softener all together and he sent bill for $400 for leak detection and some for pipe bypass work, but did not charge for the digging concrete and filling back it up.  That was nice of him to take the responsibility of not finding exact leak.  But I challenged on why I need to pay to leak detection guy ( Jeremy) as he didn't do his job right.  After an hour or so, David was able to waive and just charge me for the bypass loop work only.

I like accountability gestures and here David showed that.  He was sincere, courteous and right on the job.  I would use him again, he maybe little expensive than others but felt he knows his stuff well. Especially he is accountable and ethical!  He could have argued that he did do dig and fill that back up (concrete work), but able to see they didn't find exact place hence waived the work charges.
I would use him again and highly recommend. For all fairness, mistakes happen and taking g responsibility is important and Jeremy from Bullseye also did same and waived the fee (assuming he didn't chare David).

Best plumbing experience ever. It started from the moment making the appointment.  Bernadette scheduled the appointment around my schedule.  

She gave a 2 hour window and called to let me know when the crew was on the way. The plumbers that came out were great, David and Ernie.  They wore protective covers and used a mat to make sure not to make any mess.

David and Ernie were both very professional, friendly and truly nice guys.

R.P.S did a great job when I called them for a sewage clog at my home. It turned out to be a big deal as my main line was clogged in the front yard. David provided top of the line services with high end material to get the job done. I will definitely call them again.

Had a great experience working with R.P.S. on getting a minor leak fixed.  It was very easy to schedule an appointment.  I was given an exact quote based on a picture I sent in.  They were on time, super friendly, honest, and got the problem fixed very quickly.  Would definitely use them again for future plumbing needs.

We had an issue where there was no water pressure at all in the house except for the kitchen faucet.  And what was coming out of the other faucets wasn't pretty.  Joseph came out and diagnosed the situation and quickly assembled a team to fix the problem.  Joseph, Tim and Josh worked with focus and care and got it done.  They were communicative and professional.  I will definitely reach out to RPS again.

We just had a toilet put in by Ray Ibanez.  He was fast and did an excellent job!  Also, we purchased a grab bar to assist my 91-year old mother when she comes to visit us and Ray installed it for free.  Ray was very personable and very knowledgeable and we appreciated him very much.  Also, it was so refreshing to be able to call RPS at all hours of the day, even on weekends, and they actually answered.  We set up service on Sunday afternoon for the following week.  Bernadette in the office was great.  I highly recommend RPS - they are reliable and fast and they know how to give excellent customer service.  Thank you, Ray and Bernadette!

I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised from start to finish. I needed my drainage pipes replaced and as I started calling around for quotes I kept getting the same salesman pitch over and over, but when I called R.P.S. Plumbing i was greeted by a friendly and energetic person over the phone. After telling her what I needed she told me someone would be down at this time. Sooner than later Joseph was at my door with a smile and a handshake. Let me tell you as I walked him over to my problem Joseph was able to answer any questions or concerns I had regarding the repair and any damage the surrounding property might incur. His level of professionalism was not only pleasing by it gave me a sense of relief knowing i was able to place my trust in him and his company.  While I was at work he even had the courtesy of sending me pictures illustrating each step of the way. In the end my drainage pipes were replaced and they truly left the  work area looking like they were never there.  I highly recommend R.P.S. and would definitely call on their services again!

Not sure what to say; They replay to my initial contact, scheduled appointment to come and give estimate for some plumbing work (installing main valve and adding one more valve). They came with 15 min delay (from 2h window they provided). My wife meet them and explain what we need. They told her they can come next day and do it. However, my wife asked them to submit quote by email. They left and since then we never heard from them anything. Strange?! Or they do not like to provide quote?

I called them for a toilet leak. They diagnosed it to an uneven floor. I paid $1400 to get the floor redone. The leak persisted. The diagnosis was incorrect. I called them to come and check it out. They set up an appointment but they never came. Won't be using them again.

Jordan was great!  He kept me advised as to timing and did a great job installing a several toilets in our house.  I would definitely call R.P.S. for service in the future.

David came with his apprentice, Lau, within 2 hours of calling and promptly diagnosed the cause of a problem that had stumped several plumbers and handymen that I had consulted since the problem first appeared about 15 years ago! AND he fixed the current main problem that I was calling him for (no hot water in the shower). His rates were comparable to other plumbers, he was very professional and helpful and NEAT, and accommodated my tight schedule perfectly-completing the job in 1.5 hours! Will definitely call them again.

I called RPS on 09-25-20 for a low water pressure situation and corrosion on my pipes and the ball joint connections. David came out that afternoon and we discussed what repairs needed to be done. David quickly determined the low pressure was being caused by my water softener. He also found that the previous plumber I used a few years ago connected some of the copper pipes with galvanized metal fittings which was causing the corrosion. Maybe I was just lucky, but he was able to do the repairs the next morning, Saturday the 26th. Saturday he came out at 9:30 am with Josh and they began the work. They showed me all the piping that was almost completely blocked by the corrosion as they did the repairs. David and Josh were very informative explaining everything they were doing and why. The repairs were done quickly and very professionally. There was no additional cost for doing the work on Saturday and the price was very reasonable.I will definitely use RPS Ribbs Premier Services again and I will ask to have David and Josh come out and do the work.

It all started with my husband installing a new water in our house. He turned off the water and then after he turned the water back on sewage would come up our shower and bathtub drain after flushing the downstairs bathroom.

That night I messaged a plumber that I found on yelp that was quick to respond via message that evening, but not the next day. I contacted two plumbers prior to speaking with David and they both said it was a main sewage blockage and that I would need my sewer clean out to be snaked to clear the blockage. Little did I know that my newly bought home did not have one.

Then my friend recommended David at RPS Ribbs Premier Services. I called David and he was quick to explain everything and quoted me right over the phone. He was really knowledgeable with regards to the issue that I was going through and even advised me to not go with the route that my friend had suggested because it could turn into a huge liability by having someone on my roof to snake my pipes. He told me that he could install the sewer clean out the next morning. I spoke with my husband and my home insurance carrier and then called David back to set the appointment. He took down my info and told me that he could be at my house in 10 minutes to take a look at what's going on and to meet me in person since I wouldn't be home for the appointment. I was impressed by his customer service and his willingness to want to meet me in person even though he had other jobs that he could have been doing.

When he and Pancho arrived they were really friendly. He introduced the both of them and then asked for me to show him what the problem was. After showing him, he thought there was something strange so he began to look in our backyard. He found two clean outs in my backyard and ran his camera in both of them, he even tried to snake one of them because he found a blockage. Unfortunately, after about a hour and a half of trying to figure out what was going on he determined that both clean outs did not give access to the actual blockage that was causing the issue. I then scheduled the appointment for the next morning that was a one man job, but became a two man job due to how high my house was elevated. He quoted me a very competitive price.

The next morning his team showed up on time and worked on the installation for the majority of the workday. David called me after the installation to review everything with me and what they found with regards to the blockage. Everything is now working in my home thanks to David and his team.

David was amazing to deal with! Not only did he and his team finish the installation, but everything looks great in my front yard. What I really appreciated is that he was genuinely looking to figure out what the issue was instead of just suggesting something without inspecting everything. You can tell that the customer experience and ensuring that his customers are in a good place with their plumbing and sewage issues are his top priorities. He even suggested preventive measures that we could take to help with dealing with the old pipes in our home. I would definitely recommend David and his team to my friends and family that have any plumbing related issues.

Update to my previous review. Bernadette personally called me to assess the situation and apologized repeatedly for what happened and offered me refund in full. She said the tech will be receiving additional training and that has taken place. At no point in time during our conversation she ever questioned my feeling of what happened and listened attentively.  I can appreciate a company that admits and make amends to their mistake and strive to ensure customer satisfaction.  It goes a long way of earning customers trust and RPS has done that exceptionally well. I can feel confident their ability to resolve your issue

Very disappointing experience, the only good things I have to say is that the person arrived on time and was generally polite, but that's where the good ended. I had a plastic object stock in the toilet and all he did was run the snake for 5 minutes and then tell me that it would be easier to change the whole toilet and charged $89 for it. The whole reason I called a plumber is because I wanted a professional handling it, well that's definitely not what I got. Every question I asked, instead of giving a suggestion or recommendation he would just quote prices, it became clear to me that ether fixing was not his main concern or he didn't know what he was talking about. Once he left, I used the snake myself and in about 10 minutes was able to push the item out. Honestly, don't waist your money, just get a snake from a store for half the price, that's all they use to fix blockages anyway, and if that doesn't work find another place because this place will just give up and suggest to get a new toilet. In his defense it could have been his first day on the job, he seemed new at it, that would explain why other reviews had better experience. I just would think in a business like plumbing the company would try hard to get returning clients.

I have been incredibly satisfied with Ribbs Plumbing on 4 separate occasions. David has gone above and beyond for me by providing quality service and honest advice on a problematic tankless water heater, arriving promptly a few months back when my bathroom was flooded, giving me invaluable help as a consultant when I did my best to extend a sewer line from our guest unit in the back a couple of years ago (he ended up doing all the really difficult stuff but talked me through everything else, and consistently corresponding with me when addressing issues at my house when I was out of town (he even emailed photos demonstrating exactly what the problem was). I feel very lucky to have found a plumber who I trust. I have and will continue to recommend Ribbs Plumbing & Rooter to everyone in the San Jose area.

David and Ernie did an excellent job installing a new gas line for our pool heater. They were personable and professional and made sure to explain everything throughout the installation process. They did everything up to code so that we passed inspection when the new gas line was complete. I felt very comfortable throughout the whole process from start to finish because they always kept my husband and I in the loop as they performed their work. I would definitely recommend them to my family and friends. They are a fantastic family ran business and it definitely shows with how they handle their customers with care. Thanks again guys! We'll call you guys when we have more work to do on our house in the future!!!

On Friday, couple weeks ago, we woke up with no hot water. I have called several companies for help and was told that earlier appointment is at the next day which is Saturday ( extra money). Then I found R.P.S. Ribbs Premier Services Plumbing Rooter. I was given a window for the appointment from 1 pm to 3 pm, but in one-hour, the dispatcher calls me and tell me that she can send somebody in half an hour. In 20 min Dave and Patrick came, inspected our heater and told me we need to replace it.  Dave saw a sticker on our old heater and told me we have a 9 years warranty from Sears, he did call Sears and speak with an operator. We were told that Sears might call me in 2 - 3 days to schedule a delivery, what will happen in next week or two. That means we supposed to leave without hot water for two weeks, for a family of 5 it is not possible. When this option was not on the table anymore David did the very quick estimation, got my approval, they went and bought the water heater, came back, installed it. We had hot water by 5 pm the same day, as David and Patrick promissed. BTW Sears never called me back. David and Patrick did an amazing job, fast and professional, they even pull a city permit for as. Thanks a lot. I recomenned this company to everybody.

Ernie came right on time. I had tried to unclog an upstairs shower drain with a 25 ft hand snake. Didn't clear it. Obviously the clog was beyond the reach of my 25 ft device. Time for the PROS. Ernie saw that the drain was rusty cast iron and warned that a power snake could puncture badly rusted pipe. He spent a lot of time in crawl spaces and the attic scoping out the path to see if there were any leaks or seeps already. Fortunately none were seen. He tried a light duty snake first to minimize pipe stress. Not successful. Then he brought in the big Gorilla power snake and threaded it waaaaaay waaaaay down. SUCCESS. Busted the clog. No pipe damage. Drain now running 100%. Under the house he spotted some substandard drain work, cheap Home Depot ABS pipe, cheap couplers, sloppy cuts in cast iron and a flat run with no grade drop. He was right. I'd seen it myself a few years ago. He suggested we redo it but it wasn't a hard sell. I will probably do it if we get a reasonable estimate. Ernie is careful. Sharp. Courteous. I won't use any other plumbers as long as Ernie is available. He is a real pro.

These guys are awesome.   I had a botched project from a previous general contractor and so I gave these guys a call and they came out on quite short notice.  They were very prompt and professional.   They evaluated the work and redid the project.    It both looks tremendously better and there is no longer dangerous tension on the plumbing lines.   They were accurate and upfront with their estimate and they even came in slightly below the estimate.     They very clean during the project and they cleaned up after themselves quite well.   Would definitely use these guys again in the future.

My wall was leaking water.  They sent someone whin 3 hours, stopped and fixed the leak in two hours

I purposed a special from Aggies list for $79.00 towards  $200.00 plumbing services. David and Ernie show up .They were up front and honest about the problems .They were very restful and professional within my house .The even did a couple of extra things because they right there. They left to go get parts and returned in a reasonable period of time .They did find another problem and explain that they were expected someplace else so they sent someone else out to fix it  the second problem. He arrived in a short period of time and fix the problem. Nice and friendly and professional. I so appreciate honest clean professionals . I would highly recommend this company. Thank you !

I needed to replace my water heater and was referred to this company by a friend, The lady who answered the phone was very nice and friendly and scheduled me for the next available appointment. The technician arrived right on time, very professional and in a clean uniform. His name was Joseph S. He did a full inspection of my water heater and provided me with a few options. He was very knowledgable and friendly. I highly recommend this company for quality work and professionalism. In addition the pricing was perfect and the new water heater is working great, very happy client.

It was my first time using  Ribbs plumbing They changed the pipes from the main line in the front yard to the house. They dug the front yard and changed the whole pipe, and they did a good job. They got here on time and completed it on schedule, and the people who did the work are fantastic. They deserve an A+.

I contacted RPS Ribbs Premier Services for a leaking angle stop and supply line under the bathroom sink at my office.  This leak required turning off all the water to the office, so having someone come out as quickly as possible was needed.  They came out within 20 minutes of my initial call and assessed the situation.  They could not do all the work at that time (it was at the end of the business day) so they scheduled to come out the next morning.  The technician arrived and started working on the bathroom valves and supply lines and wound up replacing some supply lines, valves, and hose bibs in our warehouse as well.  Two more technicians arrived with some parts and to help out.  They finished all the work within two hours.  I have used RPS Ribbs Premier Services at my home as well (replacing a leaky kitchen sink drain and strainer) and I will absolutely continue to use them in the future and recommend them highly.

Very disappointed in this service. The Tech who came out to diagnose my water heater issue immediately jumped to sell me a new water heater versus lead with the option of repair.  Didn't seem knowledgeable and did excessive follow up.  I went with another company who offered a repair solution and was straight forward. Would not recommend these guys. Sketchy.

Patrick and Joseph were awesome.  Professional, courteous and on time. They explained everything so I could understand it and did a great job on replacing the leaky valves.

Dave did a great job installing my new water heater!  Reliable and punctual!  I have used a lot of plumbers and it is good to be able to have one to rely on when needed.

Joseph the RPS technician, is top notch.  My kitchen sink had really gone so bad, it had to be replaced.  Joseph got the job done beautifully.  He removed the old porcelain sink and replaced it with a stainless steel one, with all its hardware above and below. He arrived on time and did a thorough job, always keeping me updated, and always cleaning up after himself.  A very respectful, knowledgeable and experienced tech. Thank you so much Joseph. If you are looking for plumbing services, RPS and Joseph should top your list. I would not hesitate to call Joseph/RPS again. A well done job.

We recently had to have our pipes replaced on our duplex where we live.  We did our homework on trying to find the right company to do the job, we reached out to a few companies and the company that stood out was R.P. S. Ribbs Premier Services Plumbing.  The reason for choosing them was their professionalism, detail to work that would be completed and fair price.  During the initial appointment to take a look at our place and generate a quote David called to confirm when he would be there and called the day of the appointment with a 30 minute window that he was on his way.  After the first appointment he emailed the quote and once we moved forward with them doing the work David contacted us to introduce the crew that would work at our place so we would know who would be showing up during the time frame they would be there to complete the work.    
Once they started working, the crew made sure that all areas were going to be worked on were properly covered/protected so there was not damage to any of those areas.  The crew would always knock and ask if they could come in if doors were closed, they ware are very polite and friendly.  Each day of work that was completed all areas where they worked would be meticulously cleaned, even the outside of the house.  David would provide detailed information of what was completed that day and what would be worked on the next day, we had many questions along the way and David was patient and detailed with his answers, we never felt like we were asking a silly question.  
Once all they work was completed the triple checked everything they did to make sure there were no leaks or any issued after they left. Although the process was long and inconvenient David and his crew always made sure we had basic plumbing throughout the day.  They were very considerate towards our needs and we felt they had our best interest.  Lastly we were most impressed by the way David treats his crew, he made sure they had water and the few times I was there during lunch time he took them out to lunch or treated them with treats from the ice cream trucks that passed by our place.  We feel very lucky to have found them, we would recommend them in a heartbeat. We needed a Water heater replacement. We contacted the company and they sent a tech. Jordan was the tech they sent out. Jordan was honest and assisted us on what the next steps would be to get the water heater replacement. He did a great job.

I called RPS on a Sunday evening when my hot water faucet in the bathroom would not turn off.  I shut the water off at the valve under the sink and took the handle off to see if I could fix the problem myself by replacing a washer or O ring.  This faucet had some kind of cartridge that I had never seen before, so I decided to call in the experts.  Angies List rated RPS with 5 stars as did Yelp.  Bernadette was very accommodating on the phone and said she could have some one out first thing the next day.  The technician, Joseph Salazar and his assistant Isaac showed up the next morning as promised and were very polite and professional.  They diagnosed the problem and gave me my options to correct the issue and the price quote for each.  They completed the job in a very short time period and  gave me the senior citizen discount that I had requested.  I am very pleased with the job they did and will definitely use this company again

Great experience with RPS Ribbs Premier Services, highly recommend. Had issues with a severe leak in the bathroom on Saturday morning, called several highly rated plumbing companies based upon Yelp and Angie's list reviews. I'm usually hesitant with companies that have minimal reviews, but gave them a try as well. I left messages for several other highly rated companies, no one responded beside David from RPS. Discussed my issue with him over the phone and provided pictures of the leak, he was able to asses the situation and provide me with an estimate over the phone and schedule me in for Super Bowl sunday.  David is very professional and detail oriented, was able to resolve my immediate leak issue and  and provide me very detail answers to the questions and concerns I have. Turns out his family have been in the plumbing business for 3 generations and he has just recently branched off on his own, hence the low number of reviews yelp. He also took the time to help me address some additional plumbing  issues I have with the property and options to resolve those issues. Will be working with them in the near future. I'd recommend calling them first, prior to calling other plumbing services, and give them the opportunity to win your business!
