Mark and his assistant did a fantastic job at replacing our shower stall.  His estimate was clear, accurate, and reasonable.  He asked questions and lent expertise before and during the job, so that it went smoothly.  He always got approval before beginning extra work, and asked relevant questions at the close of each day for the next day.
As anticipated, some plumbing work was required when the floor was removed, but he kept to the stated hourly rate and estimated number of hours for that work.  He went above and beyond when we suddenly needed some timing flexibility.  He and his assistants kept the work area clean and neat, and were courteous and respectful of us and our house.  We definitely will call Mark for our next tile projects!

Called them this morning with a blocked sink.  They gave me a 3pm appointment.
Showed up on time, fixed the problem, gave me a 30 day warranty in case it got blocked again, charged me $80 and went on their merry way.  Excellent and fair service.  Would definitely use and again and recommend to others.

If you have a plumbing problem, there is no better place to go then Pavel at Pacific plumbing. We had a water heater break that flooded an area and caused us great concern.  Pavel and his team came in, diagnosed our problem, explained our options clearly and then performed the work with expertise. You wouldn't think this would be much of an issue - to replace a water heater but our issue required some thought.  In 2021 we installed a solar panel battery power system in our home. We thought that switching over from the old gas water heater to an electric water heater made sense (and it did/does).  However to do that in our home required changing out the electric panel, putting in new amp switches and running a dedicated electric line to the washer as well as simply sticking up a new water heater.  They had all of this work covered with licensed technicians and I owe them my gratitude for the quick service. Thank you Pevel (Paul). Thank you, Igor.  Thank you.

I would give Avi more stars if I could. in the 2 occasions he came out, he was responsive, ethical, knowledgeable and professional - and as the business name indicates, affordable. I will surely continue to utilize his services and won't hesitate to recommend him to friends and family.

Our Heater was not working and Manny fixed that issue as well as checking the entire system to make sure there were no other problems. He was very easy to communicate with and very friendly. We will use NexGen again And we will request Manny!

Soooooooooo, Part TWO of the MASSIVE fail I posted on MONDAY...

9am - spoke with Jackie who said Harry, the guy who came out the night before, would not be coming as promised. She said she'd get back to me with a new avail. right away.

Now, at this point, only an idiot would believe anything they said. So I called ANOTHER plumber to come out and do an estimate and possibly the work.

Jackie called and said the tech would show up at 11:30. Now, since there's NO WAY I will be using their service, I say sure. Thinking... yeah, see how you like it when I waste YOUR time. I was completely expecting to cuss the tech out at the door and slam the door in his face.

THE OTHER PLUMBER arrives and quotes me THE SAME PRICE as Harry did the night before AFTER the discount. (side note: Harry quoted me a price on Sunday night that I KNEW was high and then tried the whole 20% off bit. Basically still asking for the same price had they NOT wasted my whole day. SMDH. What a joker.)

In my mind, I knew I was right for blazing these folk. Did not care in the LEAST bit that I Was gonna waste their time. They deserved it for all the BS they put me through on MY DAY OFF!

And then JESUS showed up.

I've got my venom ready. I'm about to spit fire in this dude's face. I open the door AND....

He's on his knees with a rose begging me to hear him out.

AND THAT WAS THE START OF THE PLEASANTRIES...

Now, I am a woman, so while roses aren't my kryptonite, it's pretty damn close. And it was a gorgeous rose. So fine, I will listen. But I told him it better be good or I'm slamming the door in his face.

He tells me that Sunday was all his fault. To not blame the company, that HE was the technician assigned to my job, and HE was the fuck up. He begged for my forgiveness and promised me he was not like that in real life, that he was literally having one of the worst days of his life. He tells me about this massive job from hell that kept getting more involved, but how his phone died, and as he was taking it in to be fixed, he got a flat on the freeway and had no one to help. He went on about his day from hell which kept getting worse and worse and worse. I'm thinking geeze. Waiting for him was the day from hell, but at least I got to sit in a/c while doing it. and I do feel sorry for him. But there's NO WAY IN HELL I'm letting him in to do this job. Am I right, yelp!? Besides, I have another person there already. He says it's okay, but to please let him at least look and give a proper estimate. Fine, and I tell him to come in...

So now he looks and tells me all the things that are wrong with my plumbing. I'm thinking great, you came here and are giving me an upsell. But then begins to show me what he means. PLUS, he shows me that the ONE thing Best Buy Geek Squad installers did, which was install the dishwasher, was done incorrect and was LEAKING. FUUUUCCCK!

Jesus begged me to allow him to make it up to me, promising me I wouldn't be sorry. Now, this dude is really sincere AF and I can relate to a really bad awful no good stinky day, so against my better judgement I AGREE TO LET HIM DO THE WORK. I know Yelp... WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH ME!?

Well, though it was against my better judgment, I'm glad I let him do the job. The attention to detail he paid to this work was astounding, calling my attention to each step to show me the care he was taking and the benefit it would be for the future. In fact, he took so much care with me, at 11PM THAT NIGHT (YES 11pm because he was taking his time), he tells me that he will come back tomorrow to finish and clean up.

So early the next morning Jackie calls to give me an estimate on the time Jesus would arrive. He came and went to work. He needed more parts and had to go out and get them. When he wouldn't be coming back at the previously communicated time, Jackie called to give me details as to what was happening and a new updated time as to when he would arrive. ALL WITHOUT MY PROMPTING.

Now, WHY COULDN'T I GET THIS TYPE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM JUMP!??? It would have saved all of us this headache! And me from spending 2 hours from writing detailed reviews!

Jesus finished Tuesday afternoon, and though I paid more than I initially intended, I was VERY HAPPY with the work, and the attention to detail paid to making sure the error was made right. We are all human and fall short, and we all deserve a chance to make it right. I'm glad I gave this company and Jesus that chance. Well done.

If you need work from this company, ask for Jesus. He is a credit to this company and diamond shaped gem!

This company saved me. I called another company who told me I needed to tear up my flooring and jackhammer my cement slab to clear my clog. My fiancée knows the owner of this company and told me to call them for a second opinion. They came to my home and in under two hours fixed my issue. I was so grateful. Had I listened to the other guys I would have had to replace the floor in my whole house and had huge expense and hassles.

This is my second time using Santa Monica Plumbing. Marco, Manny and Armando are great. This time they moved our washer and dryer from the garage into a closet inside the house that used to hold the boiler. From ripping out the old ducting from under the house, to running the new dryer vent, piping and installing the washer and dryer - everything was done neatly and professionally.

These guys are great.  Gaby is a true pro.  Honest, knowledgeable, and reliable.  Their rates are reasonable and we didn't pay a penny more than we were quoted.

I'm crossing my fingers for no more plumbing issues, but when the time comes I look forward to giving Gaby and Drains Unlimited our business.

Our experience was very positive -  just as with other reviewers.  Ruben and his crew showed up when they promised and generally left everything clean when they left.

Ruben impressed us with his desire to do quality work and to do what is necessary to do the job right.  On our job he and his crew delivered beyond our expectations.
