Detailed Version:

I bought a 4-plex that was in dire need of new pipes. At the same time I had the city install new water meters for each unit, so this was a good opportunity to get it all done in one - new pipes and separating out each unit to its own meter. Going into it, I knew it wasn't going to be easy, since all units were occupied by long time tenants. Housing Department wise this is not an easy task. I had multiple companies come out and bid on the project to get a sense for price and efficiency.

Ruben, the business owner, came out and took a look at the property, inside and out. We talked for a while about the goals of the project with timelines, the challenges, and intricacies. He immediately stood out from other contractors. He seemed honest and straight forward. He kept it simple and by that I don't mean a no big deal attitude but the bottom line was clear and precise. Where there was a clear task, he said so, and where there were possible variables, he did not dilute those.

By the end of our conversation, there was no question for me that I wanted to work with him. His bid came in and it was perfectly appropriate for the scope of work.

The next time we met, was at the Department for Building and Safety to apply for the permit. He was super comfortable with the process and knew every step along the way. The next 3 months went by, for me to go through the Housing Departments requirements, to be able to begin the work. In all this time, Ruben was patient and I kept him updated on the progress. I got a sense that he was an in-demand guy, just from other job site stories he told me. When I finally got a start date for my property, Ruben was ready for it and put it on his calendar. He had anticipated about 2 weeks for the project.

We spoke a few more times to coordinate the start of the project and then we met the 1st day of the work at the job site. I met his crew and they all were more than friendly and kind. I felt relieved, since they would enter my tenants homes and spend the next weeks there. Ruben understood this and was concerned with making sure that the tenants and their space was being respected.

In the next two weeks, Ruben and his crew, repiped the entire building with new hot and cold water lines. He used a combination of PEX A, the highest grade of Pex piping, and type L copper pipes. He ran into a few smaller challenges along the way but handled them all with no problem. As a result there were basically no surprises since he had anticipated it all and we spoke about it in advance.

Originally we did speak about the possibility of replacing the drain lines as well, but Ruben said, he can tell in more detail what needs to be done, once the walls are opened up for the repipe. At that time, he suggested to replace a few drain lines but ultimately it made sense, to replace them all for a complete job. Ruben agreed and in order to keep with the original time line of 2 weeks, he brought on additional guys! Absolutely brilliant!

Ruben went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right, to code, and to his own standards. To give an example of his holistic view, he made sure to only cut the tile in the bathroom that was absolutely necessary to cut and showed the same consideration in all other areas of the work! He made sure to keep his footprint small, and the crew did an amazing job cleaning the site at the end of each day. The tenants were happy and comfortable throughout, and that relaxed me.

Long story short, the inspector came in, looked at the work and was impressed by the quality of the craftsmanship! He signed off on the spot and the guys closed the walls so my tenants could get back to their lives. The project was done on time, on budget, and above and beyond expectations!

I'll tell you this, I deal with contractors here and there, but Ruben is different. When he said he would call, HE CALLED! When he said, he'd be there, HE WAS THERE! When he said, he'd make it happen, HE DID! EVERY SINGLE TIME! He was kind, calm, and reliable throughout the entire time he worked on my property. This review does not do justice of how grateful I am for all the work Ruben and his guys did!

We used Repipe Expert to recipe our entire house a couple years ago and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!
We noticed a leak had caused damage to our wood floors and called Ruben right away. He arrived with his associate very quickly.  He was able to diagnose the issue, which was TOTALLY UNRELATED to his repipe work in the past.  This issue was with the sewer drainage pipe and a toilet problem.
After Ruben identified the root causes of the leak, he went to buy the necessary parts and had it fixed shortly thereafter. Moreover, the price for the repair was extremely reasonable!

These guys are the real deal. Owning a small business myself I know that reviews are important. Called Ruben for an estimate and he came out and went over all options with us. His price was very reasonable. Ruben and his crew came out on time and had the job finished in the stated amount of time.

We had the whole house (2 bathrooms, kitchen, dish washer, clothes washer and water heater removed) re-piped with pex and had a tankless water heater put in. We used to have to wait for about 2 minutes to get hot water to the kitchen as the water heater was on the opposite side of the house. Now no more than 20 seconds in the kitchen and about 5 seconds in the bathroom. How we did it before this I don't know.

He was upfront and shared must do replacements vs. projects that could wait. Ruben even fixed a hole in our garage drywall (that had been there for years) and touched up drywall on door frame without being asked. Well, I was a skeptic but now I see why all 5 star reviews for Ruben and his team.
We had a pinhole leak in the bathroom and learned that our neighbors, whose houses were all built at the same time, were having leaks every couple of months so we decided to go ahead and repipe the whole house.  Wow.  It is quite invasive, but surprisingly, they put it all back together like new.  It is kind of unbelievable really.  We had 3 companies come and give us quotes, all were in the same ballpark, but Ruben had the best Yelps, and said he would be here for the work, which he was.  It is annoying when you deal with a person who gives you the quote, and you hire them, then you never see that person again.  Well, Ruben is there and doing the work, and his years of experience show.  He even adjusted his schedule to accommodate our bathroom remodel (which was due to the former leak).  I would recommend him highly for a repipe.  He did some extra work for us at the curb (we paid) and he changed our kitchen faucet (we bought) for free.  Would have been $100 to have a plumber come for that.  Most importantly, our house is patched beautifully and we don't have to worry about a leak for another 40 years.

From start to finish awesome job. Contacted Rueben asked for a bid on a complete home repipe and new additional plumbing being added to the home. He came by we went over what needed to be done when he was at the home you can feel that he really knew exactly what he was doing small details that others don't think about Rueben does. Couple days later he gave us a full detailed quote which was acceptable and we scheduled the job. The crew he has is awesome they are so nice and take care of your home like it's theirs. The job was all done in 2 weeks and passed city inspection with flying colors actually the inspector said that it was one of the best jobs he had seen in awhile.

After getting several other bids, Ruben came to the house and did a thorough investigation to determine our needs and options. The bid I received was the most comprehensive and easy to understand, and it included detailed information about the different materials we could choose.
We had our entire house repiped, and replaced the old water heater tank with a tankless system including built in recirculation.
Ruben and his crew showed up on time each day, worked non-stop, and were completely focused on getting the work done properly and on schedule. At the end of each day, they cleaned everything up and left the house spotless. Whenever I asked a question, I was shown exactly what was being done and given a very clear answer that gave me a much better understanding about the plumbing in my own house!

If I could rate Ruben and his team ten stars, I would. I initially found Ruben here on Yelp and liked his reviews. He came to give me an estimate and spent a full hour here looking at my drain pipes and then explaining what I've got and what the problem is. During this time he drew out my pipe configuration and all the places that need replacing to illustrate what needs to be done. As a visual learner I really appreciated him doing this as I gained a much better understanding of what had to be relaxed and why. It inspired confidence. Ruben was very responsive to texts as I reached a few weeks later to schedule the job.
Today, Ruben and his team arrived on time a little before 9am and were meticulous in laying down cloth tarps to protect floors. They worked all day and were done by 4:00.  They patched the stucco perfectly. When dry I need only paint the small area. I am really pleased with Ruben's professionalism and really nice demeanor. So far, my water is draining great! So happy. I intend to call him next year when I tackle replacing the sewer and water supply pipes.

Earlier this month, we discovered a leak that had flooded the crawlspace of our home. The water had to be pumped out and then the crawlspace dried out. Our water had to be shut off completely. This would leave us without water for at least a week, yikes! Turns out we needed to replace an old leaky main pipe going to our garage/laundry/rec room. And as recommended by our plumber, we also decided to re-pipe the entire house.

We were in the middle of a 3 apartment complex bathroom remodel. Mind you the apartments were built in the 1940's.The plumbing part was fixed as needed as issues arose. So, before Ruben and his team got there, the plumbing system was a mess. However, after Ruben our tenants are pretty pleased at the outcome. They now have fresh and clean running water coming out of all the water pipes.

Everyone worked well together and arrived on time to do the job. The way a job should be done. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. I could contact Ruben at any time and I would get a response within a reasonable amount of time.

Ruben's quotes were appropriate for the amount of work he had to do on our 3 bedroom apartment. He is very far in his quotes, doesn't want you to pay for something that isn't necessary to have done. Plus whatever is written on the quote is done as quoted, nothing more added. He is honest and treats you like family.

I had his company and another (5-star rated company on Yelp) come out for estimates and it wasn't even close.

After a 30-minute inspection, Ruben gave me 2 bids:  1 for PEX and 1 for copper, and gave me the pros and cons of each.

The other company performed a 15-minute inspect and gave me a single bid for copper.

Ruben's PEX and copper bids was about 20% and 50% more expensive, respectively, than the other company's bid, but his bids were detailed with every item that would have been done in every nook and cranny in our house.

I am wise enough (read:  gone the cheap route too many times) to know that there's a difference between price and value.

I chose Repipe Experts and it took them 2 days to do all the re-piping (I went with PEX) and another day to patch everything.

It is really nice to have high quality water pressure all through the house now, but even nicer that there are no bad thoughts or concerns lingering in the back of my head.

It's been a year since we hire Ruben to repipe our house. We opt for PEX. Happy to report everything is great and we are really happy with his work. We really like how Ruben and his crew respect our house. They keep the work area as neat as possible and just hard at work to finish the job. Ruben went over everything with us before the project started and he'd draw diagrams to show us how to resolve issues came up along the way so we understand what's going on. His pricing is reasonable, too. I'd recommend Ruben and Repipe Expert to anyone who is considering repipe their house.

I am so happy I decided to go with Ruben and his team at Repipe Experts!  They were amazing, did an excellent job and were professional, cleaned up afterwards and were extremely helpful through out the entire process.  Came out on time and kept me informed the entire time.   They found a leaky gas line on my hot water heater and just put on a new one, moved a hose bib, all extras and just took care of it no extra charges!  Not often do we see customer service like that!  I highly recommend Ruben and his team!

Ruben and his crew did a great job replacing the galvanized iron pipes in my 98 year-old house with copper. My one bath house took a day to repipe (including the removal of a huge amount of defunct gas and sewer lines), and then there was another day of wall patching and some help above and beyond installing a dishwasher.

Ruben was very knowledgeable about code requirements, and gave me good advice. However he never pushed me to make a particular decision and was always responsive to what I wanted for my home.

Many thanks to Ruben and his crew. 5 Stars on a copper repipe he performed on our house. That as well as replacing the vertical drains. Attention to detail and customer service were spot on. Hands on owner who does not sub-contract out the work which was very important to me. We got on great, I almost bought him a beer!

We had a leak under the concrete patio- we have been wanting to repipe for years, so we thought now is the time. I looked at Yelp and narrowed it down to 4 repipe  companies. The reviews for this company were so strong, they were the only one I called. Ruben answered within 10 minutes and said he could come by that evening to give estimate. He called to say he was on his way and arrived on time. He spent about 35 minutes looking it over with my husband, then gave a written estimate for whole house repipe. We talked it over and called him to start the work in 2 days. He explained exactly what would happen and how long it would take. He and his crew arrived on time and started working. At the end of day 1, they were able to connect everything except showers, so we had sinks and toilets for that night. Next day also arrived on time and worked another 8 hours- at the end of that day everything was hooked up, but he found 2 drains that leaked ( our house is 90 yrs old). He gave us a quote to replace those and came back on Monday.  They fixed all the drains, did all the patch work inside and out, and completely cleaned up including putting everything back in place.
I am very impressed. Excellent workmanship, polite, explains everything as he goes, and very dependable.

Ruben and his team arrived on time @8 am to replace my 25 years old water heater tank in the center of the house,  installed a brand new Rinnai tankless water heater included a new gas line and new copper water line relocated to outside of the house in one day, actually finished before 2 pm. The crew is very polite, the whole team is very professional, work in fast pace. They make the working area neat and clean. I will recommended.

We have used several contractors to do jobs around the house over years. They were okay but none of them gave me the confidence to suggest to friends when they ask for recommendations. BUT Ruben will be the one I recommend to any who wants to repipe their houses! We had Ruben repipe our house with copper. He not only had the best price but more importantly he did a great job. Some contractors said they can finish the whole job in one day, but do you want a good work or a quick work !?

Our water pressure was getting worse by the month so we finally
had to take action.  I started reviewing YELP and one of the companies with 6 stars was Repipe Expert .  I called the company and Ruben the owner responded with a appointment the next day.  He was very professional and through checking where all our water pipes and fixtures were.  He gave me a estimate and after calling other companies I decided to use his.  The result was excellent,  Ruben and his team were professional , worked as a team , and cleaned up after each day. Ruben also noticed that our drains were very slow and noticed a tree was located on top of our main pipe to the sewer. He recommended that we also replace the drainage pipes and sure enough they found our pipes loaded with roots from a tree.  Because we followed his advice we saved time and money.  We used PEX material and so far our pipes and drainage is working just fine.  Ruben also gave us a little discount which was greatly appreciate.  They also plastered all the openings and were very neat and clean.  I would recommend this company to anyone who wants the job done right and efficient.  Thank you  REPIPE EXPERT.

Reuben at Repipe Expert is great.  He and his team re-piped my entire house (January 2019) with PEX above ground and copper below.  They were professional, efficient, and super nice.  As an example of the kind of service you'll get from Reuben, here's an anecdote - my water heater is outdoors, housed in a little sheet metal closet against the house - the door on it never worked right, and always required bending metal in order to access the heater.  Without prompting (or charge), Reuben spent quite a bit of time going at it with tin snips and pliers, and made it right.  Very, very cool, and it wasn't part of the job.  All the plumbing appears to be flawless, and I now have awesome high-pressure, non-rusty water.  I recommend Repipe Expert without hesitation.

I was extremely thorough in my review process before I decided who I would be inviting into my home to tear up my walls and do a major repipe. I got 8 quotes and many of those people I grilled with questions while they were checking my place out. Ruben went above and beyond when he was here for the quote, and he and his team definitely went above and beyond during the work.

I just finished having my house re-piped after having a plumbing leak in my cement foundation. I read Yelp reviews for several companies but ended up selecting Repipe Expert (Ruben). He talked me out of putting in a recirculating pump as being unnecessary because the bathrooms were both close to the hot water heater. It was the right decision which saved significant money. It also helped me to feel that I could trust Ruben. As I saw the extent of work involved in re-plumbing the house I began to appreciate how important the skill, experience, and care of the plumbers were. Ruben and his team did a very careful and professional job. I am very glad that I hired them. They also repaired the many holes in the walls that were needed to re-pipe the house. Everything was done very well and they cleaned up thoroughly after the job was done. I couldn't be more satisfied.

We hired Ruben to do a repipe of our 120 year old house. There were some significant challenges because there was an unpermitted basement unit that had poorly done plumbing work. Despite him being a very busy guy, he was always patient with us and was very kind to give us different options based on our unique situation. I appreciated how upfront and honest he was. We have a 3500 square foot 2 story house built in 1930 that needed a complete fresh water repipe and drain repipe.  We needed someone who would take the time necessary to protect elements of our house that we want to preserve. Ruben gave us a fair quote for the size and complexity of our project. Every single aspect of his team's work was just superior, in fact beautiful, I would say, if plumbing can be beautiful. All work was done to the highest standard. They went above and beyond what would be reasonably expected. His team was on time, professional, kind and courteous, and they completely cleaned up the work areas at the end of each day. One particularly difficult drain pipe required digging a 12 foot deep 3'x3' shaft to replace a main sewer pipe. The shaft they dug had perfectly straight sides that looked like an elevator shaft. I don't normally write reviews (i've only written two since joining Yelp), but strongly felt the need to write a review for the work and customer service that Ruben and Jorj (the estimator) provided to me during my repiping project.  I bought a new 5,000+ square foot home with 6 baths that had a mixture of old galvanized and copper pipes.  Due to the size and high purchase price of my home, I initially thought about going with one of the larger re-piping companies.... but was eventually turned-off by their estimate process and lack of flexibility in adjusting their quotes/projects to my needs.  I found Ruben and Jorj on yelp and decided to give them a try based on all the positive reviews.  It was a lengthy process but primarily due to the complexity of my project and my demands for a precise quote.  They were up to the task and were extremely accommodating in helping me.  

The project itself took 2 days and Ruben was very helpful along the entire way.  I appreciated his attention to detail, workmanship and their carefulness around my house.  Ruben answered all my questions, provided me consistent updates and adjusted work to 'do the job right,' which I appreciated as the home owner.  Also, as a former business owner myself, I selected Ruben based on the fact that he is the owner/operator of his company and his work and effort was and is what builds the reputation of his company.  Its very easy to have other people do the work for you, but when you have the owner (who's reputation is staked on his company) managing and doing the work, it's a different type of quality product that you ultimately receive than if it is a crew hired/staffed by an owner....and that's what I wanted for my home.

For me, their customer service, attention to detail, price point and actual work product all resulted in a much better experience than I anticipated in having to go through such a headache project as re-piping your whole house.

We asked Ruben to bid on a re-piping project on our house after seeing his excellent reviews on Yelp.

His bid was fair compared to a 2nd bid we had received for the project.

Our experience was very positive -  just as with other reviewers.  Ruben and his crew showed up when they promised and generally left everything clean when they left.

Ruben and his team did an awesome job on the PEX repipe at a very competitive price. He kept in touch and answered all my many questions and even came out to fix a leak in my refrigerator line which wasnt included, but was old and sprung a leak after being moved in and out of its location. I called Matuchi plumbing local to me for an estimate and they bid the job 10k more than Ruben did. I laughed and said they were crazy. I would suggest this company to everyone looking to get a home repipe done. Its been 3 months since my job and no leak anywhere in the house.

My tenants reported a gas leak in my rental property and the gas company shut the gas down on the entire building. I called two companies to find and fix the leak. One of them is Repipe Expert. I spoke to Ruben the owner of the company. He is very helpful and clear on the phone. We met the next day for him to make an initial assessment. I was so impressed with his professionalism and clearly explaining my options that I canceled the other company. This review is long overdue but I wanted to come back and give Ruben and his team a 5-star review. Repipe expert changed out our old pipes to Copper and also suggested we get rid of one of our old water heaters and to run a water line to the main house water heater. That right there saved us money in the long run and the trouble of having to service 2 separate water heaters later on. I like the fact that they did the patch work on any holes they had to open. That also saved us time having two find a separate contractor just to do patchwork. Ruben also patched an existing hole under our kitchen sink and didnt penny pinch about doing so. He gladly did that for us without extra fees.  Would highly recommend using them, everything was done in a timely manner as promised. Thanks Ruben and team!

We had finally decided to replace our 50s era pipes after a pipe in bathroom burst. We contacted a few big companies that send out a salesman and have crews that do the job. While they had good reviews and similar prices, the plumbers that are going to do the job were not known ahead of time. Ruben is the owner and head of his crew, and you meet him right up front. He was great- went out of his way to do a terrific job on our PEX Repipe. Solved tricky logistical issues, very efficient & neat. He even patched walls better than painters that we have had- undetectable. I waited a couple months to post this review, to see if any issues came up. We had only minor adjustments, and Ruben was very pleasant to deal with. Go with Ruben for your plumbing repairs and installations- very honest and quality work!

Due to poor construction methods, many homes in our 10 year old track were experiencing lots of water leaks. After we got our first leak, I did some research and got 4 bids from reputable contractors to repipe our house. I ended up going with Repipe Expert, and couldn't be happier with the work they performed.

There are really no words to describe the incredible team and leadership from this company. I was dealing with a major historic family home restoration and they took the project on like it was their own mother's home. This review is a few months overdue. I'm happy to report that we have had zero issues to report. Ruben and crew have done a stellar job.

We had several quotes from other repipe companies but I preferred his straightforward style over others whose prices were maybe slightly less. He's not sitting up in some air conditioned office collecting checks, he's down there in the trenches with the rest of his team--And that ain't just lip service. He showed up on time every day and made himself available for the onslaught of questions I unfurled upon him. Having been stung badly by a fly-by-night contractor (who installed cheap parts very poorly), we were *extremely* vigilant, rigorously putting him through his paces. He kept up and ensured us with photos every step of the way. There were a few points where I felt he had really gone above and beyond to keep us happy. It can be such a slippery slope with plumbing, but I never felt like Ruben was overselling. I felt his advice was honest and insightful. I really only wish we had hired them sooner!

Oh, and two words: Lifetime Warranty.

Jan 2018 Update: I just wanted to say after a couple of years that I'm still so happy we went with this company. We had a minor repair under warranty and they came  and fixed the issue right away. A+!

Ruben gave me a very fair estimate and answered all my questions. One company wanted to put in a pump. Ruben said it was a waste of money because my house is small and the water heater isn't very far from any of the faucets or the dish washer and washing machine. He was right. I now have practically instant hot water. Half way through the job I became dubious because suddenly I needed something that wasn't part of the original estimate. But Ruben was right and when he showed me the pipe it was original from 1932 and really just a ghost of a pipe with a lot of crud holding it together. Yuck! Ruben and his crew finished the job on time. I am a very detail oriented person and there were a couple of visual things I wanted adjusted and Ruben did them very cheerfully. (If I were him I would have figuratively wanted to kill me, but if he did he didn't let on!) I recommend Repipe Expert whole heartedly. This is a good man with a great crew doing a really good job at a fair price.

I'm a firm believer in Yelp reviews from customers.  When we were looking for a company to repipe our house, which has been plagued with repeated slab leaks too numerous to mention, I looked at the Yelp reviews.  It is very, very rare to see a company that has many reviews, to have ALL 5 star reviews.  I was impressed by the rating and comments.  We called Reuben from Repipe Expert and he quickly came out to give us a bid.  He was very easy to work with and was willing to do exactly what we wanted done.  

His team showed up on the appointed day and did an awesome job.  They all work together like a well-oiled machine.  Ours was a three-day job, but we were only without water for around 9 hours on the 2nd day.  They lay down canvas runners all over the house so they don't make a mess and clean up very well each day before they leave.  They had to cut many holes in our stucco and walls, since they rerouted our water from under the slab up into the attic.  I have to admit I was a bit worried about all of the holes - what if they were really obvious at the end of the job?  Other Yelp reviews had said they did a good job on wall/stucco repair and they were spot on.  The textures of the repairs blend very nicely with the old textures.  Reuben even did a few extra repairs for us, because he is so nice.  

I was so impressed, I've already emailed my friends to tell them about Repipe Expert, just in case they need that service. Hint: When you get the bid, sign and return the contract as soon as you decide to use their services.  They book up quickly, because they are really, really good.  However, the wait was worth it, they did a great job!  I can truly see why they get nothing but 5 star reviews on Yelp. If we ever need another house repiped, we would certainly call Repipe Expert. Thanks for being so easy to work with and for doing a wonderful job on our house.

2 days...2 days!!!

Ruben and his crew worked quickly, but efficiently to finish repiping the ENTIRE CONDO in 2 days. He came highly recommended by friends and now I am recommending Ruben to y'all. His piping work is impeccable and left my place cleaner than he found it. One of the crew members was down on his knees and hands wiping my wooden floor even though he knew i was going to redo them the week after.

Ruben and his crew really know what they are doing. Not only are they experts; they are also a decent bunch on guys and moderately priced. I had them re-plumb our home after another guy who didn't know what he was doing made a real mess of everything. So I really had them do a fairly large job including 4 bathrooms and the kitchen; an entire house basically including installing a tankless. They were so good that we have continued to use them (for our business locations) and have recommended them to others with great success.

Of all the contractors that I got estimates from, I very quickly felt Ruben of Expert Repipe was the best . One contractor left his motor running when doing an estimate and I felt he wanted to leave before he even got here. Another contractor sounded good, but I had to chase down to get an estimate and it was very high when I did receive it. Yet another plumber didn't have the knowledge and crew to do the quality work that Ruben did.

  Ruben took the time to  thoroughly go over with me outside and inside what would be replaced. He was the only one that bothered to check my water pressure with me when giving me an estimate. I knew when I bought  my house that some of the old plumbing really didn't make sense the way it was. Ruben's layout of the pipes were neat and made perfect sense.

Ruben was very good about answering my questions and kept in touch with me during the whole process. I would  definitely  recommend Ruben if you are goin to have a re-piping  done.

I just had Ruben and his team repipe a four unit residential building that own. The building was built in 1923 and needed all water pipes (galvanized steel) and horizontal drains replaced.
I started my search for a plumber on yelp and ended up contacting some of the higher ranked contractors. Ruben ended up getting the contract as he was by far the most helpful and knowledgeable person, and his price was right too!
The job was started Monday morning as promised and also completed on schedule two weeks later.
This being a residential building, the ability to communicate with the tenants was very important to me and Ruben did a great job - even with the most difficult tenant.
I can highly recommend Ruben and his team, and would definitely hire them again.

Reuben and his team repiped a home for me early this year. It was built in 1947 and water pressure was very poor.  I liked his presentation so well I did not bother getting other bids.  He sold me on PVC piping over copper as the new industry standard (though he was quite willing to do either.)  He and his crew came in and had the job done within 3 days.  It would have been two but I needed a larger diameter drain pipe. That extra need threatened to dramatically bust my budget but Ruben found a middle ground that still produced the desired effect.  So, I did not go too far over budget.  Along the way, Ruben volunteered to add some additional features (such as two additional faucets) that I had not thought of.  He did not charge any extra.  He was thorough in his knowledge, expert in his leadership, and completely professional.  5 stars easy!

Easy and fast. Had the house repiped with PEX in the crawlspace for all the horizontal piping (pipes in the walls were good and didn't need attention). Ruben came out and looked at everything, ask questions and gave me a quote without trying to upsell me. Everything looked good with the quote and Ruben and his team did the job in one day (two bathrooms and kitchen, single level house). They were professional, put everything back when they were done and cleaned up after themselves. Highly recommend them to anybody.

After two water leaks in our home, we decided to replace all of the pipes. We got bids from several companies, but we were most impressed with Ruben's team. Ruben is very knowledgeable, skilled, and patient.  The biggest factor for us was that Ruben himself comes on site to do the work with his team, not some other group of people. All of the other larger companies in our area will send you a great sales rep, but that person is not the one who does the work for you.  Ruben is great at communicating with his clients, and that is very important. Many misunderstandings and mistakes occur because of misunderstandings between the client and the contractor. So, it was important for us to be able to communicate directly with the person who is doing the work in our house, rather than through an off-site project manager who then communicates with the workers themselves.

After the work was completed, we noticed a very minor issue with one of our faucets, and Ruben came out to fix the problem with no charge. Great customer service!

Wish I could give Ruben and his team 11 stars (the extra star for how a few of the guys adored and loved on my dog Rosie) for all their hard work and professionalism in repiping our house!

We've had a few pinhole leaks that have been repaired but a recent slab leak finally persuaded us to repipe our entire house. I had 6 different companies come out and quote the work and we liked Repipe Expert the most. While a majority of the companies sent out sales reps to see our home, we appreciated that Ruben would actually be working on-site as well. They are competitively priced and worked with any requests we had. My dad had major surgery earlier this year so he wasn't able to move heavier items and Ruben said no problem, if there were any big heavy items in the way his guys would help take care of it. Can't say many of the other companies offered that same kind of customer service and understanding. My parents also decided to add and change a few items half-way through the repipe and Ruben was able to accommodate our requests without any problems.

As for his team, they are awesome guys who work very diligently and were respectful and considerate of our home and belongings. My parents were home the whole time they worked on the house and kept praising how hard everyone worked. The guys took care of little things too like taking out all their trash with them (and not putting them in our trash can), wiping and sweeping, making sure things were neat and orderly at the end of the work day-- things that I didn't really think about but definitely made an impression.

They don't subcontract out any of the work so Ruben and his team took care of the dry wall and patching as well and they do a REALLY good job with it! Ruben was very thorough once they completed the job and walked us through everything and explained any necessary items. He even came back after they finished and left because I had called with a question and he wanted to clarify and answer it so I had no concerns.

I cannot stress how much we appreciate Ruben and his team for making this a stress-free and comfortable process. Thank you guys for the excellent work, my family had a great time getting to know everyone!!! And thank you for spoiling Rosie with love and attention too!

After calling around for different quotes, Ruben and his team were the ones we decided to go with. Although he is really busy and may seem hard to get an appointment, he gave the most honest and was the actually the cheapest of the quotes. We had to re-pipe our house because the old copper pipes kept getting leaks, so we replaced it with PEX-A. His team was always on time and very clean. They cleaned up after each day and set up again the following day. They did a great job on the patch work also.

10 Star service, in 100 degree heat.

I selected Repipe Expert after interviewing other repiping companies.  Of course, all of the 5-star Yelp reviews helped in my decision making.

Ruben, the owner, and his team are absolutely the best.  When you initially speak with Ruben, you can tell that he is very knowledgeable and experienced.  Also, he is honest.  He lays out his repiping plan and explains in detail what he will do.  Due to his busy schedule, I had to wait a month for him to begin the project; but I didn't mind. I was more interested in having a company that I felt would do a good job.  And that is exactly what I got.

I have a 1955, 3,000 square foot home, with three baths in Altadena.  Rubin and his crew arrived at my home on the date and time as promised.  The repiping material we selected was Pex for the house, and copper for the intake water line from the street.  The work was begun quickly, and they did not waste their time.  Unfortunately for them, my home has a small crawl space to maneuver in, and on top of that they had to contend with 100 degree weather.  The crew never complained.  When the crew was under the house, they discover the sewer pipes were also in bad condition.  Ruben said I could replace them now, while they were under the house, or I could delay the project.   I decided to repipe the sewer line too.  When all of the old pipes were removed, I could see that they were all in bad shape.

Whenever I asked a question, Ruben would reply, I will treat your home like my home, and he did.  It is obvious to me that Ruben and his team take great pride in the quality of their work.  The county permit inspector signed off on the project without hesitation.  It has been a few weeks since the repipe project was completed and there has been no problems.  

Save yourself some time interviewing other repiping companies.  Be aware that some of the companies send out salesmen to do the quote, then turn around and sub-contract out the work to a plumbing company.  You will not know the quality of their work because the salesmen will not tell you the sub-contractors name.

Ruben from Repipe Expert did replaced all of the pipes and drain lines in our 3 bathroom house.  He also installed a tankless water heater and a recirculation system so we always have hot water at the faucet.  I never hesitate to recommend him to all of my friends who need plumbing work done.

We had a hot water pipe burst under our concrete slab.  The water ruined two bathrooms, hallway, closet and carpets.  Our plumber recommended a complete repipe since the house was built in 1959.  We began interviewing repipe companies.  It was curious how many companies had front men come out and assess the damage and provide an estimate.  After explaining what needed to be done, they admitted they would not be doing the work; that other crews would show up to actually do the repipe and other crews would show up to patch and stucco.  I did not relish dealing with so many different people.  Ruben on the other hand, came out and surveyed the damage.  He immediately could see what had happened and explained why the repipe was needed.  He took the time to show us where the pipes would go and how they would move water from the street to the house and to all the fixtures.  He gave us the choice of PEX or copper and wrote up an estimate for the entire job, including new fixtures.  He also thought he could put in shower fixtures without ruining the tile which none of the other companies thought they could do.  What was most appealing was his assurances that he himself would be doing all the work with his crew and if we had any questions, he would be right there.  His cost estimate was very reasonable and his written guarantee was all encompassing.  He showed up on Tuesday with his crew and they immediately began laying pipe.  They took care to cover anything that could get dusty.  What was most telling about the quality of his work was when the building inspector came out to sign off on the permits.  He claimed the work was excellent.  When a building inspector compliments work, you know it has to be quality.  Ruben and his crew finished the job and patched everything perfectly.  They cleaned everything up and you couldn't tell there was work done.  We now have wonderful water pressure and look forward to many years free of water problems.  Ruben is the best!

I read a lot of Yelp reviews before getting Ruben over for a quote. They were almost $2,000 under a competing quote for a whole house repipe with copper all the way from the street. But mostly it was how comfortable I felt with the initial walk through and quote process. The job included some nasty trenching through a very hostile cactus garden and under the asphalt driveway (I can't believe they trenched through that). I can very much endorse the other positive reviews of this crew. I really appreciated the time Ruben took to explain the process and the options. He was also incredibly flexible and communicative during the job, and we made some adjustments as we went along, in part to accommodate some requests from my landscape guy. I now have a high pressure line with independent shut-offs and pressure regulator to my yard separate from the house supply, to allow completely independent pressure control for irrigation and the house, which is perfect and wasn't part of our original plan. He also worked with my landscape guy to run conduit through the same trench in the driveway for future low voltage wiring. Ruben was able to make on the spot quotation adjustments to the curve balls I threw at him during the project.  
The entire crew were wonderful and worked insanely hard on some blisteringly hot days. At the end of the day, it was about as stress free as I could have hoped and after 14 years with terrible water pressure, it's been an incredible change to quality of life with wonderful shower pressure, which is worth the price of admittance alone. Ruben and his crew went above and beyond. Well recommended, and worth making a first Yelp review for this crew as I've never been inspired before.

We had Ruben out to replace all of water lines into the small house we just bought.  He was very helpful in explaining all the options we had and the pros and cons of each.  I wasn't surprised when he went under our house and said a lot of our plumbing was old and some Mickey Mouse piping was scattered throughout as I had been down there a few months earlier and noticed it myself.  He gave us a very reasonable quote and stuck to it.   He even added an extra spigot outside next to our garage and a nice water shutoff outlet behind our fridge at no extra charge. We just had him out again to replace all outgoing pipes as well.  I'm very confident that the job was done correctly and Ruben will stand behind his work.

The thing with Ruben is he wants to do a job at a great price and then stand behind his work and his guarantee.  So if you want to get the job done right by someone you can trust, look no further.  He treats each house/building as if he were doing the job for his family.

Finding a trustworthy plumbing / pipe expert is not an easy task.  I am relieved I have done it!

The crew was very proficient. Showed up at promised hour, in a well coordinated way, dug in and started repiping the house. Completed the job in couple days as promised.

Repipe Expert truly did an expert repiping job.  They arrived when promised and completed work in the promised time.  Ruben, the owner made some useful suggestions such as running a drain pipe from the hot water tank overflow pan through the garage wall to a drain next to the house to avoid water damage to items in the garage in the event of a water tank discharge.  After repiping they repaired, patched, and even textured the walls.  They then swept and vacuumed the work areas!  Repipe Expert performed a perfect job plus expert advice, paint-ready walls and a clean house.

Highly recommend Ruben and Repipe Experts, they do one thing: repiping and they do it right.  Ruben and his team are punctual, proficient, and responsive.  Took them 4 days from start to finish installing new copper plumbing, new water heater and toilets, and patching up the walls.    Thank Ruben.

On 04/10 to 4/12, we had our house ( built in the 1950s) repiped with PEX for hot and cold water, replaced galvanized drainage pipe  with ABS pipe, put in loops  on side of house for water conditioner, new valves for the tub and shower in two bathrooms and new water heater tank.  I bought new faucets for kitchen, and two bathrooms. They were installed without charge.

Ruben, the owner, was responsive to questions, oversees his employees (not subcontractors) who do the work. So you do not have to worry about possible mechanics liens.

He was very meticulous, experienced  and knowledgeable about the City of Los Angeles' specific requirements such as the diameter of the PEX pipes and the need of an expansion tank.

A city permit was pulled and the work passed inspection.

Ruben has experience in both copper and PEX repiping and lays out the pros and cons of each. His contract was detailed compared to another bid I had. His workers did a good job patching up all holes and cleaning up.

To date, we have much better water pressure and the hot water comes on much faster.

I felt Ruben's pricing was fair for the work done. I would recommend Repipe Expert without reservation.

I recently had my house repipe in Pasadena, Ruben came out explained the process and gave me a timeframe of how the work was going to take place. Everything was done just like he said the work was clean and professionally done. I can't say enough about their professionalism. These guys are quick, clean, and competent. I had a slab leak under my floors, which required all the plumbing in my house to be re-routed from under my foundation, up to the roof !
I was horrified to learn that it meant most of the walls in the house had to be opened up to run copper from every sink, shower, toilet, and bath tub.
But I have to say Ruben and his crew were amazingly fast and clean -- plus they draped plastic sheets where they worked to protect the house. Then after the plumbing was done, their patch crew came in and plastered and patched all the holes -- in the proper texture.
The city inspector was very complimentary, saying this was as good a re-pipe job as he's seen, and the materials and bumpers they used on the roof were consistent with a large commercial job. Worth every penny.

I wish I could give Repipe Expert of Glendale more than 5 stars! Ruben is an honest businessman and I cannot recommend him highly enough. He and his team did a repipe for us and they were meticulous about covering the floors, and furniture, etc. that were adjacent to the work area. They left the washer/dryer area cleaner than they found it. The city inspector commented on how well the work was done. When the job was completed, there was an electrical problem that may or may not be due to the repipe job. Most contractors would brush it off and get out of there, but Rubin brought in an electrician​ who fixed a very complex problem that we weren't aware of. In my mind, that is going above and beyond and we are deeply grateful​ that we hired Ruben. We have done a complete remodel of our house and dealt with lots of contractors​, but Ruben is the best because of his honesty, thoroughness, patience, integrity . . . I could go on and on.

My house was in dire need of re-piping.  The water was rusty and the pipes actually closed off in one of the bathrooms. I called 3 re-piping companies for estimates. The first came out quickly and gave me a fair estimate but tried to convince me that the city was going to force me to get a 3rd party $1500 water analysis test if I piped with Pex (polyethylene piping).  That company never even did a follow up call after taking the trouble to quote me.  I also called the city and learned that what they said was false..... that Pex was approved and the standard permit inspection was all that is needed.  The second company came out, looked over the work to be done and never even emailed the estimate.

I then went through Yelp reviews and decided to call Repipe Expert.  I got a call back quickly from Reuben, the owner, who came out to look at my house.  He gave me an estimate for both copper and Pex and thoroughly explained the differences.  I told him I needed to think about it and he said great without any pressure at all.

Reuben followed up several times to see if I was ready and if I had decided on Copper vs Pex.  I told him that I spoke with the City and decided on Pex.  Not so much because it was a few hundred dollars cheaper but because I think it is a better choice for a lot of very good reasons.

We scheduled the job and Reuben and a crew of 3 showed up on time Monday morning.  Reuben is a really nice guy and a man of his word.  His crew is comprised of very skilled workers who were not only experts at what the do but very careful to respect my house.  The plumbing work was exceptional but the big surprise was how perfect the wall repair work was done.  These guys were masters at dry wall patching.  On my white walls you can hardly find the patch.  Even though breaking plaster walls and then patching them can be a messy job, they put tarps down throughout the areas they were working and cleaned up after themselves.  

All in all I could not be happier with Reuben, his crew and the work they did.  The LA City inspector even commented on what a great job they did as he signed off on Final Inspection.

Yelpers: You can stop browsing this site!  Hire Ruben and his team.  I knew immediately when Ruben walked in for our appointment (on time, BTW) that I was dealing with someone who was first-rate. He gave an estimate, which, after I had researched online, was EXACTLY what I expected the job would cost.  (I had previously gotten an outrageous  estimate from one of those slick salespeople, who bring catalogues and give you the big sales pitch.  You will never know what plumbing company those types send you.  Do yourself a favor and google different types of repiping: copper vs Pex.  You don't need people like that talking you into a significantly ridiculous estimate with a big cut for themselves.  The other estimates we got were a repiper who yelled at me not to hire his competitor because he always steals his work; and a person who would only give an estimate over the phone. Ha! Needless to say, I was terrified of hiring a repiper until I spoke with Ruben.)

The Re-pipe Experts are truly legit. Ruben and his crew were outstanding. I'm so glad I took the advice of all the other Yelp reviews. We returned home from Hawaii vacation to find the dreaded leak under the slab. This was our fourth leak in 6 years, so I had already been planning to re-pipe the house. Ruben recommended the same, and two days later he showed up with maybe a 6 man crew, and the whole house was re plumbed by 5:00pm that same day! Two-story 2500 sq ft. 3 full baths. The whole team was very polite and professional. They carefully masked off things, and always cleaned up (attention to detail). Add another day to do the patching and texturing the walls. Very impressive. Ruben's expertise was obvious just by how easily, yet carefully he was able to analyze our housing structure, and come up with a plan. I was super impressed by how nicely they patched all the holes. Really an outstanding job. Go with these guys. In the end you'll know you made the right choice.

Ruben is a professional and knows every piece of pipe that he connects.  He did repiping on an old house built in 60's and we were very satisfied with their work.

In fact, I used them as the standard in dealing with vendors and service people.  To top it all, we also got at a very competitive price.  He was not pushy in selling his other accessories and even helped us in buying plumbing materials at Home Depot or Lowes, all he did was focused on the job, cleaned the mess and done.  Everyone was happy and never had any call backs on back jobs.

I'm glad I called repipe expert. Ruben and his crew are very knowledgable and he does a great job of explaining every part of the job he is about to perform. This is a small operation, Ruben, who's charming, and a few coworkers. He knows what he's doing, makes an effort to understand your needs, and does things right. If they aren't right, he'll fix them without taking away from the initial impression that he's a good-natured person. He sticks to his word.

The price? Within the stratosphere of plumbers, he's very reasonable, maybe extremely reasonable. In other words, you'll spend a lot of money to repipe no matter who does it, but Repipe Expert will do it for less than most of the others and I suspect a whole lot better. He went beyond the call of duty and helped with a gas line problem and a sprinkler issue as a favor. I highly recommend the company.

We got 3 bids for a copper repipe, and Ruben came in a little higher than the lowest bid at first, but then lowered his price. We had a leak that we thought was due to the old galvanized pipes, but when Ruben started putting in the new copper, he noticed the leaks were actually coming from drain pipes. He also replaced those at a fair price, and even repaired a toilet and another shower head that had damaged some ceiling drywall at no charge. He also noticed another very slow leak, 1 drop per 5 minutes, down the drain line, and replaced that as well. He could have easily just covered it up and I probably would have found out about that leak months from now. He left everything as neat and clean and as they found it. I appreciated his honesty, fair pricing and how easy he was to work with, and will gladly call him if I have more plumbing issues in the future.

I contacted Ruben from Repipe Expert because I had a hot water leak in my bathroom floor. I had three plumbers look at it but Ruben was the most knowledgeable. He explained the job in great detail. The price was also very competitive. Everything was done on budget and finished on time. I couldn't be happier with his work. I would recommend this company to anybody who needs to repipe their home.

We chose to work with them based on yelp reviews and because Ruben bid the job himself and works with a core crew of very experienced...repipe experts! Truly they are. It was a great experience.

Most other reviewers have already said what I wanted to say. Ruben completed a mixed PEX/copper repipe, replacement of the main water line, and all drain pipes for our 1949 home. The existing pipes were made up of old galvanized pipes along with a slew of copper pipes improperly matched to old pipes. Ruben and his team completed what they said they were going to do (and then some) in the amount of time quoted. His prices are fair and he communicates with you throughout the job. Highly recommended.

We just had Ruben and his crew out here to fix a long list of issues with our plumbing that had accumulated over some time. The list was completed in one day.  Best plumbers we've ever used.  Would highly recommend them.

We have had problems with our copper plumbing due to poor material used by the contractor which built our tracts. There was an immediate need to repipe the entire house (two story home).  I called a number of folks off of Yelp. Some gave me some outrageous quotes, some average and one came to my home and never followed up with me nor returned my calls for a quote.  Ruben from day one was the most professional. Additionally, as I found out,  the most reasonably priced.  It was a tough financial decision to make, but I had no choice.  He finished the job along with pulling the permit and approval within 5 days!! Quality work, professionalism from beginning to end. Mind you, there will be disruption to one's daily routine, but he made the best to minimize that disruption. Ruben is great!!!

Ruben and his team were great.  We got several bids, and they were the cheapest, and I had the most confidence in them--that feeling was completely earned.  They were all very prompt, did a fantastic job, took all the trash, and even cleaned up a few things that weren't their problem (an old mister system that was cracked and falling apart they just dismantled/threw away for free), not to mention they found a dead rat and disposed of that too (sorry guys!!). We have a craftsman from 1919, so it's got some crazy stuff going on, and in a few places they actually patched the walls BETTER than what was there before.  Ruben explained everything to me very clearly, and even put i a new water heater at cost.  Everything was permitted, so these guys are definitely above-board, and we couldn't be more pleased with the great service, fair prices, and best of all--GREAT new water pressure!

I highly recommend Repipe Expert.  Reuben and his crew recently replaced the irrigation pipes around my house.  This involved work in the crawl space under the house and under the eaves outside of the house.  They arrived on schedule, had many creative solutions as to how to route the pipes, did excellent work, even did a few extra things without charge.  Their price for the job was competitive.

Ruben and his crew repiped my home for the best bid and with high quality, professional, and thorough work. I would definately recommend repipe expert. Ruben spent the extra time to find my main line that was not were it was supposed to be (do to some creative routing by the previous owner) and returned to investigate what I thought was a leak. Ruben cut open my wall again to look for the leak, but his guys are so good, of course it wasn't the plumbing, but a planter outside leaking into the house after heavy rain. He repaired the wall, pulled up some carpet and explained how I could repair the planter. All on his own time for no extra charge. These guys are the real deal and deserve their great Yelp rating.

I have to say I was wondering how many reviews on yelp were real and how many were written by friends and family. I am a legitimate customer and found these guys purely based on the high yelp ratings.  Ruben, the owner is the real deal. He came out to give me the quote among other so called repipe companies. Because I wanted to go tankless, he was the only guy to sit down and explain and calculate the amount of gas the entire house needed to run properly. Since I had an existing tank water heater I did not have enough gas coming in to support a tankless system. The solution which he points out is to change the gas lines including the main gas line from the street to larger diameter pipes to accommodate all the gas appliances including the tankless water heater. Him and his crew worked tirelessly for 3 days to get it done.  Ruben works alongside his guys who are equally awesome and they work like clockwork. They each know what needs to be done. These guys are fast, meticulous, and amazingly Ruben keeps his word when it comes to time and what he promises will be done. The word expert in their company name is not exaggerated. If I had to point out any negatives, it would only be that these guys smoke like a chimney....bear in mind they are very respectful of not smoking in the house and even try not to smoke in or around me as the customer. Very minor point, but I wanted my review to be all encompassing. If I had to re-pipe another house, I would hire these guys again. I wish I knew how to post pics to show their handy work.

I needed a repipe and found Ruben. I called him and right away he took my call which I appreciated. I made an appointment and he came over on time and gave me more than a fair estimate. I just finished repiping my whole house through Ruben and his professional team. It took me a few months to make the decision to repipe my whole house from galvanized pipes to copper pipes. I compared all Repipe companies within the month-period. Ruben is the boss of Repipe Expert, he's responsible and when he was pitching to me, he knew what he was talking about, not like the other guys from other Repipe companies, those guys are just salesmen. The price that Ruben offered wasn't the cheapest, it was the mid range, but I can guarantee that he is the best. He did everything he promised and everything turned out what I expected, or I should say, it's way better than what I expected!! Ruben wasn't just any regular plumber guy, he knows what my house needs and what I need, he knows what needs to be done before I even mentioned it! This was a long overdue review for Ruben and his excellent team. Ruben is a true skilled craftsman and he spends the extra effort and supplies to make sure his work is top notch. We had him repipe our house, rerouting from the concrete slab foundation to pipes over the roof. It certainly wasn't a straightforward task and his hour-long, detailed walk thru of the house showed that he was the right guy for the job. He spent the time to explain his recommendations and the reasoning behind it. He also treated the work like he was working and improving on his own home which was reassuring. His crew were punctual and professional during the 4 days of work and in the end, he gave us a detailed walk-thru of everything they did. Absolute professional that was worth every penny and I just wish we could find the Ruben equivalent for everything else we need to have done on the house (roof, sewage line, deck, etc)! BTW, his estimate was a bit higher than 2 others we got, but the confidence/reassurance that the job is done right was seriously worth the extra bit of money. Go with Ruben and his team, you won't regret it!

If I could rate Ruben a 10 star, I would say this would describe the great job he did for me.  It became clear to me immediately that Ruben takes pride in all his work and he does excellent work.  His prices are fair and reasonable.  His attention to detail is remarkable and the care he takes is as if he was working on his own home. Ruben and his crew did a copper repiping in our house in Rowland Heights.  It is a 50 year old copper pipes originally installed and there was a slight slab leak in my newly tiled kitchen floor, however it sustained water damages on toe kick of 3 year old kitchen cabinet.  We chose Ruben's company out of 5 bids we gathered two weeks ago.  

Well, it was a good decision.  He is clean, pipes were laid out well avoiding damages on tiled bathroom.  You don't see sticking pipes in the bathroom and everything is hidden behind the drywall and ceiling.  He himself crawled on a tiny crawling space between the ceiling and roof. He was careful with his welding torch in connecting pipes because that could create fire if the plumber is not expert.  He finished the project in two days time with three to four helpers up to patching and sanding except painting.  Of course, we can't avoid some collateral damages such as clogged on kitchen drain, perhaps caused by debris falling from drywall or breaking of tiles in bath tub.  Wished he had a snake to drain the clob but he is just in the repiping business  not roto rooting clogged drain pipes.  Most important, his price is very reasonable among the 5 bidders we got.  The only aspect to be improved, he should accept credit card payments, perhaps he would rather provide quality than convenience in payment.  Well, repiping is a major expense to any household and it catches by surprise when major leak happens and the insurance would not cover the project itself.  I would recommend Ruben to anybody who will do some repiping in the future whether old or new home, he knows what he is doing.

Ruben and his crew were amazing to work with. I think anyone who is facing a complete repipe job is a bit nervous, unless they have done it before, which I had not. I had a couple of companies come and quote the job so I knew what the pricing would be. I initially sent a quote request at about 9:30pm Friday through Yelp and Ruben responded that night stating he would call me the next day, which he did. We set up the estimate for the next week and were able to get started within a few days (unusual for them because they are so busy, but we got lucky and took a cancellations spot). There is something about Ruben that says trust me i am here to do what needs to be done and nothing more. That proved to be true. Ruben may not be the cheapest, but he was right there price wise and he and his crew are amazing, making sure that at least part of the house had water when they were done for the day which was a big relief. They couldn't have been neater and always cleaned up after themselves. While going through the process we went through all the different options and what sets his company apart from the competition.  One of the biggest is he is there watching and making sure everything goes smoothly, but even when he was getting supplies, his team just kept working and working no standing around waiting for the boss, he clearly has a very capable team that knows what they need to do. He and his crew are so in synch its amazing.  Ruben went above and beyond on everything and communicated every step of the way. Ruben always asked before adding anything to the job. I actually asked him to do a few things that were outside the scope of the original job which he did and did it at a fair rate. 10 Stars!!  We found Repipe Expert and Ruben on on Yelp when we were beginning the remodeling of our 1925 Spanish home.  When we met Rubin we knew right away that he was a very conscientious and caring person.  His work on our home was above and beyond.  He does excellent work and everyone who works with him does the same.  One of my favorite things about working with him is his great attitude which is very important to me.  I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs plumbing done.  They are very professional, totally reliable and just over all nice guys.

Rueben and his crew did a terrific job repiping 1/2 our home with copper piping a couple of years ago, 1/2 the house was done before we bought it.  First off, most companies I called didn't want to deal with only half a house, but Rueben did.  His price was less than other companies, which was great.  They were in an out in a couple of days (we had 3 bathrooms and several outside faucets to repipe). Our home has a slab foundation and we had a hole in one of the pipes, so they repiped in the attic rather than tear up the foundation.  They kept the holes to a minimum and they guy that patched the holes was top notch!  We have very smooth plaster walls and you cannot see where the holes were.  I'm glad we had them insulate the pipes which keeps it quiet and keeps us from getting scalded with hot water in the summer because the pipes are now in the attic.  I would definitely recommend Rueben and his guys to anyone needing repiping.

We occasionally had brown-colored water and low water pressure at our house. We found Repipe Expert from Yelp.  We had several quotes from other companies, but Ruben from Repipe Expert gave us the most reasonable price.  He was honest, confident and professional in all details.  Ruben and his team finished the entire project in 3 days (PEX, Mainline, Tankless Water heater) with excellent patching job. If your looking for a quality repipe, these are the guys! I had called around to 3-4 different repipe companies and plumbers who do repipes and had to wait for callbacks. All of them gave me estimates over the phone, without even seeing the job?!! You know how that works, then they show up and tell you it's going to be $$$ more. But Ruben picked up the first time, and came out to my house that afternoon. He walked around the house with me, showing me and telling me exactly what they would be doing. He made some suggestions for new hose bibs, and to fix my tankless water setup due to it not being to code. He then gave me a solid price, and had me set up within 7 days for the actual work. He actually cares about getting your business and doing a great job, something that's hard to find now a days. He showed up with his crew on the scheduled day and they got to work! They repiped my house in a day!!! They were all clean, friendly, and very careful with the mess. They covered everything, and were careful when moving things. It was awesome to watch them work, and I still can't believe they got it done in a day. I chose pex and couldn't be happier. Ruben called me a week later to make sure everything was still good. That's customer service people!! As a firefighter who cares about customer service, these guys got my vote all day, and I've already been asked at the station about who I used, and I've gladly given them Rubens number. You can't go wrong with Repipe Experts!

Excellent service. Show up when they said they would. Left our home the same way they found it. Clean and tidy. Used the products they said they would. Had enough men here to get the job done in a timely matter. We even added an extra job which they took care. We felt the price was right and fair.

Unfortunately I got a slab leak and due to it being weeks after getting a pin-hole leak in my old copper pipes, we decided that it was time to repipe our home (We decided to go with PEX piping).  We had multiple re-pipe companies come out to give us a quote.  From the beginning we liked Ruben the best.  When he was at our home providing the quote, he went out of his way and did things only a family member or someone who really cared would do.  As I said, we had a slab leak, but we were unsure of where exactly it was coming from.  He checked to make sure we had a leak and verified that it wasn't a leak in a drain pipe instead (mind you, if we had a leak in a drain pipe, we essentially may not be looking for his services anymore).  He then verified to see if it was from hot water or not (if it was from hot water, we would be able to at least have cold water in the house ... at the time we were getting estimates we had NO running water in hour home).  Unfortunately we had a slab leak almost immediately after the water entered our house.  What Ruben did to check things for us to give us options was an extremely nice gesture.  His bid also came in a lot lower than the rest.  Due to his personality, other positive yelp reviews, and price, we went with him.  

We later realized why his price was also a lot lower because unlike those other big house re-piping companies, Ruben's business doesn't have all that overhead (office and salesperson personnel who end up subcontracting their work out).  Ruben personally provides you the quote and does all the work himself with his assistants (there were 3 guys at our house).  He's been in the industry for years!  I believe he use to work as a subcontractor for one of these big shot companies before when he decided to just start his own business.

In regards to the quality of work. It was great!  If I could provide more than 5 stars I would.  He is a person that takes pride in his work.  The crew also would cover things up in plastic and clean up at the end of the day very well!  I've had other construction done at my house before and even though I know dust is inevitable, I haven't had any contractor clean up as well Ruben and his team.  I'm not saying there won't be any dust/cleanup work left but I am saying that it is better than other contractors I've dealt with.  Ruben and his team also arrived each day on time.  The city inspector saw no issues with his work and after giving us the thumbs up, Ruben and his team were able to patch up and retexture all the walls and holes they had done.  Yes, they do the patchwork themselves too, no subcontracting anything out.  I was also very impressed with the patchwork and texturing skills too.  Granted, I still need to paint but even without the paint, it's hard to tell where the holes were.

While repiping, Ruben noticed a VERY minor leak in a bathroom drain pipe and he also repaired that for free.  He also stuck to the quote.  The final price didn't change from the initial quote.  Ruben also removed some of my older copper pipes instead of making new  holes in my crossbeams, he just removed some old piping and reused some old holes  (something some of the other companies didn't want to bother with).  He also didn't charge me for the price of doing my fridge and also threw in a box for my washer (before the knobs popped out of the wall and now they are nicely in a box in the wall giving me a little more space in my laundry room). The other thing I liked about Ruben is that his schedule was more flexible than these big shot companies.  He understood that because I had a slab leak I wanted the work done earlier rather than later due to me not having any running water at my home and was able to fit me into his schedule pretty much immediately.  He said that he had another job going on re-piping an entire complex but that he was ahead of schedule and could squeeze me in.  I really really appreciated this (When I asked some of the other companies when they could start the work I got, in two weeks, it won't be for at least 10 days, or I don't know, you have to call the office and schedule something with them).

I don't regret our decision to go with Repipe Experts at all. Quite opposite, I'm very proud of the fact that we were able to find them and hired them. :)

Ruben is the man!!  He truly cares about his work and his prices are more than fair. He has helped us out a bunch of times with our new 75-year old house.

I wrote a review for Reuben and his crew on 4/1/17 about the terrific job they did on our re-pipe. I need to amend that review. We recently discovered that our rear sprinklers were not putting out as much water to run the sprinklers after the re-pipe. I called Reuben and he and one of his main guys came within a few hours to check on the problem. They made some adjustments, so as not to blow the interior plumbing but yet send more to the backyard. A couple days later, I received a call from Reuben saying that he had done more research and wanted to replace the regulator he had installed. He arrived several hours later, installed the new regulator and then he and I went to test the sprinklers. We have enough pressure to drive the system, which was mal-designed to begin with and he has referred us to our new landscape guy who does the sprinkler design. Reuben has been here for us every step of the way, never charged us another dime and we can say with 100% certainty that he and his crew must be THE very best in SoCal!!!

I recently did an extensive remodel for an entire house, and Ruben was probably the most pleasant of all the contractors whom I had hired. He was thorough and patient for the process of doing some repiping and adding a tankless water heater. When the job was done, he stuck around for a couple hours until I got back from work to show me what he had done.  I would not hesitate at all to trust him for another job.

I had Ruben and his crew do a complete re-piping of my four-unit apartment building.  They were outstanding.  Ruben explained the process beforehand, and everything went exactly as he said.  They were clean, courteous, professional and on the mark.  This major job required significant holes to be cut in the walls, but just as Ruben assured me beforehand, once they were done with the re-piping and had re-patched those openings, you could not even tell that anything had been done.  They also worked very well with the tenants, informing them in advance if water had to be turned off for a short period.  It was a very smooth process. Tenants are thrilled with the wonderful water pressure and new drainage system, and so am I.  I'll refer Ruben to anyone who suggests they may need a re-piping job.  Bravo Ruben!

We couldn't be happier with the work done by Ruben and his entire crew! After suffering through 2 major slab leaks within a period of a month and basically being left with no water in most of our house, we made the decision to repipe our entire house (we opted for copper). We received quotes from several other companies. Ruben presented us with a very reasonable quote. He was able to accommodate performing the whole house repipe the following week after we were quoted (as we were in a terrible situation without water). The best part about Ruben is he himself is at the job site overseeing the project to make sure it is done correctly. The repipe was done quickly. The patchwork and texturing looks amazing. The crew did a great job cleaning up at the end of each day and at the end of the project. Ruben followed up with me several times after the project to make sure things were going well. Even my super critical husband who demands perfection has nothing but great things to say about the work performed. Highly recommend!!!

I have used Ruben's services on two occasions, both times everything was perfect.  He first repiped my entire house with PEX pipes and I have not had a single problem with it.  He was very professional and has competitive pricing.  He led me through everything he needed to do and takes his time to do quality work (my house took about 3 days with his whole crew because every water and gas pipe had to be replaced).  I was very happy with my repiping.  I brought him back out to my house to do my kitchen plumbing (sinks, dishwasher, gas for stove, etc) also.  He showed up on time, gave me a great price and finished the work in one day.  I just installed new cabinetry and he was careful not to scratch anything and made sure it was clean before he left.  I highly recommend Ruben and his guys.  I will definitely be calling him again for bathroom remodeling in the future.

I would recommend Ruben and his team to anybody. They replaced our 90-year-old pipes quickly and expertly and at a fair price.  Along the way, they discovered that our main drain pipe had corroded so badly that it had the structural integrity of dried mud.  Ruben worked with us to get that job done, too, all without breaking the bank or cutting a single corner.  The inspector breezed right through all the work they did, giving everything the thumbs up; the only thing he found was that our water heater (installed by somebody else years ago) wasn't installed correctly.  Ruben to the rescue again:  he fixed those problems for us within hours, correcting somebody else's work.  Basically, we felt that Ruben was on our side throughout the whole process:  he knew all the codes like the back of his hand, used nothing but high-grade materials, and genuinely wanted us to get the best plumbing we could afford.  Replacing our old pipes might not have been the sexiest thing we could have spent our money on, but it feels good to have confidence in our plumbing.  If you're even thinking about replacing the pipes in your house, give him a call.  You won't be sorry.
