I reached out to Gateway at 10pm on a Friday night with a request to see how much it would cost to snake a drain pipe on my roof that I thought might be blocked. I was also hoping that they could send someone out the next morning to check it out. Pipe dream, right? Nope not with these guys.

Not kidding when I say that Daniel messaged me back within 5 minutes, which I didn't expect, but was impressed by none the less. We arranged for them to come out the next morning. Say whaaat?!

He showed up. Gave me an honest assessment of my situation - it wasn't a drainage issue, it was a roofing issue. Daniel gave me some tips on how to maintain the drain, and was on his merry way. Will definitely call these guys the next time I need plumbing help.

My moms owner didn't want to pay for her plumbing that had backed up so I found gateway rooter on here and seen they have good reviews. So I called them and Nick and his son Nick Jr. came over and did an amazing job. I highly recommend them. Reasonable pricing and to the point. Daniel was the kindest most responsive plumber we have ever worked with.
I had an issue with a kitchen faucet and called on a Saturday. He tried to walk me through a self repair via text . When I wasn't able to to proceed he agreed to a time to come by on Monday and made the repair quickly! I highly recommend gateway and give him more stars if possible.

Of all the vendors I messaged asking for quotes on Yelp Gateway was the best by quite a bit. Daniel responded very quickly and with an extremely competitive quote ($160 to fix a shower that wouldn't drain, parts and labor included). He was able to commit to a next morning appointment via Yelp messaging, which was really important to me. When compared to other plumbers who required phone calls, back and forth without actually providing quotes, and in some cases did not call back at all, choosing Gateway was easy.

This is a business type where the service provider needs to be willing to get their hands dirty. Like really dirty. Daniel and his associate did a great job with my place, unafraid to get to the root of the issue. They take cash, check and credit card, and in my case were completely done with the job in just twenty minutes. (While some point to a short appointment as a negative, I say, it's a job I'm not doing myself and the faster you can do it, the better)

They were late, but also proactive about taking corrective action. I appreciate this in a service provider.

Gateway also offers a 30 day warranty on their work, so while I certainly hope I don't need to take advantage of it, I feel confident the problem will actually get solved in the unlikely case it isn't already.

Wonderful service. Had to uninstall a bidet and toilet and move it from downtown LA to a house near Dodger stadium and install it there. All while installing the old toilet and removing the old one in the house as well. Took the old toilet with him so we didn't have to worry about it afterwards, it was great! Will be calling them again for any plumbing service.

Pros: very quick to respond, came same day, and got the job done relatively quickly ($160 to rooter my kitchen drain pipes for a sink that wouldn't drain).

Cons: never bothered to identify or introduce themselves upon arrival. Would have marched right in the house had I not asked their names and introduced myself.
Rooter jobs can be very messy - this one sprayed black gunk everywhere under my sink and in the crawlspace for drain access. They sort of cleaned up, but I was left with black gunk all over the place which took me nearly an hour to clean up. A little prevention (drop cloth or something) plus a little more effort on the cleanup would have been appreciated.

After two days of trying to clear a clogged sewer main myself, I finally gave in and called Daniel. He was super easy to work with and came out the day I called. Daniel and his assistant Vy went to work right away to clear out the line. All in all I was glad I called him because they were able to clear out the obstruction with a little effort. His price was very reasonable considering the short notice. I won't hesitate on using him again or referring him to my family or friends.

These guys are great. They came in and helped us with a sewer emergency in my building's basement.

First visit they rooter-ed the drain, cleaned up the mess and provided us with an estimate for the replacement of the clogged pipe.

Their estimate was reasonably priced, and they did the work fast and thoroughly, and kept us well informed throughout the process. Highly recommend Gateway Rooter.

If you want a plumber who gets the job done the first time, or doesn't need an assistant, or tests their work before they leave, or shows up on time... keep looking.

If you want to use all your vacation time on plumber visits and then play plumber's assistant when they do finally show up, then this is the plumber for you. If you love contractors who take 7 appointments to do a job they said they could do in one appointment, call Gateway. If you like hanging around waiting for the plumber to show up, these guys would be great for you. (They were regularly late. Once only 10-15 min. late, but usually more than an hour. At least once more than 2 hours. Visits they said would take 10 or 20 minutes turned into hours-long ordeals.) If you have nothing to do while the plumber is working, and want to help the plumber test their work, this is the plumber for you. If you want a plumber who opens up a pipe without putting something under it first to catch any water that comes out, call Gateway.

Daniel and Gateway Rooters overall are a bunch of honest and trustworthy guys when it comes to not just Plumbing service...but home and customer service...all of them put on booties and clean up after job is done...even cleaned places they did not touch!!! Daniel couldn't of made much money with the price he quoted !?! Just SO impressed with Gateway Plumbing. I was preparing my house for sale and thought I simply needed to have a blocked pipe cleared. It turned out that the entire sewer line was compromised and needed to be replaced. It was quite a shock - but Daniel quickly diagnosed the problem and provided a competitive quote. These folks literally showed up within 10 minutes after I called them with an emergency situation. They worked on it for over 2 hours and the final charge was $200. I thought it was very reasonable for the work they did, and the time they spent doing it. I'll totally work with these folks again in the future!

Nick and Nick were great! I had a stubborn clog in our main sewer line and they kept at it til it finally cleared. Afterwards, they ran a camera down to see what the cause was. Roots, and plenty of them. I got some great advice on how to get rid of the roots and to keep the line clear. They responded quickly and gave me a reasonable quote. I would definitely recommend Gateway!

Absolutely 5* all the way. Left an urgent message about 9.30pm last night expecting to hear from Daniel in the morning but he text back about 20 mins later to say he could come see to my issue first thing in the morning!!

Arrived with two other gentlemen and off to work they went - replacing a leaking water heater that had spilled all over the garage floor. What a headache. They cleaned up the water (saving us $400 from Saver-vac), and replaced the water heater all within a few hours.

Definitely top of the list for go to plumbers in San Francisco!!

It was the day after the Giants won the World Series and we had a plumbing issue (over flowing toilet every hour, really gross) that needed prompt attention.

I called at least 10 plumbers and I think everyone was still recuperating from the night because nobody answered and only 2 called me back, Gateway Rooter being the first.

They were a little tardy, but the communicated with me that they were running late (and I wasn't too surprised given the amount of construction around my neighborhood... zero parking spots) so really no issue there.

The reason for the 5 stars is because they were professional, friendly and cleared up our messy problem in 5 minutes flat. They were also reasonably priced (in my book, anyway... I'm not sure what the going rate is for plumbing services but it felt reasonable to me) and I would recommend them to anyone.

These guys are the best!!! Last night, in the storm, I arrived home to find my kitchen sink overflowing with back water. I called all the National rooter companies, all with 24 hour service and none could come out until late the next day. So I looked up local companies and came across Gateway, I called and he was at my home in 20 minutes!! Super nice guy and he got the job done!! I am now sticking with Gateway, I learned to now call them first with my plumbing needs!!

I would give Daniel and Jr a 10 star.

I had a tough clogged because when they built the pipes for the toilet, they used the wrong fitting so the snake would end up in the wrong direction, it went toward the kitchen sink. We tried to do it ourselves but no luck. We called another plumber and he gave up after 5 minutes.

So I went on Yelp and found Daniel. Gave him a call and scheduled to come in the morning. They arrived 30 mins earlier than scheduled. I explained the situation to him and he brought all his equipment, unlike the other guy. Camera, jetter, small, medium and large nake, and whatever you can think of. It was tough but Daniel and Jr never gave up. The eventually go the clog after 90 mins. I was so relieve, giving that it took us a couple of days and two different plumbers. And guess what he was really really affordable giving the amount of time he spent on it.

I will differently call him again if I have another plumbing issue.

Hire the right person for the right job. Always.

An emergency situation arose. Tenant's sink was backing up and unknowingly to us, the landlord, they poorly installed a rusty old kitchen faucet, letting water leak into the cabinet below. Shut off valves were leaking too. Bad things come in threes, yes?

Made an appointment with Daniel. He and Jose came, divided, and conquered. We decided on a combo of snaking and jet propulsion water for the drain and they worked fast to clear the clog and check the pipes with a snake camera, reminiscent of surgeons checking patients' arteries. And Daniel correctly installed the new faucet with supply lines and replaced the shut off valves. The price for the whole job was reasonable.

A sigh of relief. I will call them again for other plumbing needs and highly recommend them. Thanks.

Good on the responsiveness - good on fixing the problem (loose handle and low flush capacity). 2 stars docked for $140 to fix a flush valve on my toilet that Gateway had previously recommended I call the manufacturer to replace. So I did call, I had them installed (by another plumber) and there was something not working right, so I called Gateway. 20 min later $140 with the recommendation to replace them AGAIN. Seriously?! I know plumbers are expensive but this is downright highway robbery. $80 would have still felt expensive but more legit for the services performed ... Tightening ip a few screws. I wouldn't have had the flush mechanisms replaced in the first place if they hadn't recommended I do it bc there wasn't anything wrong with them, but the plumber said there was a free manufacturer replacement die to a recall. It vay what a racket. All in all what a waste of time and money.

We woke up to a plumbing emergency (on a Saturday) & these guys were there within an hour. Within a couple of hours, they not only fixed the problem but also put a camera down our pipes to diagnose what caused it. Plumbing tends to get expensive fast so I was super psyched that they gave us an estimate under $200 and stuck to it. They were great, reasonably priced, professional, & nearby; would definitely call again.

They will lay some pipe.

A shadowy plumbing organization with a mysteriously exactly-the-same address as Philz Coffee, and zero listing in any phone book or internet. How did I find them? A banner they had an intern at kinko's throw together. No other way to get the phone number.

Brass tacks, they ripped out my circa-1900 building's horrifically corroded and leaky wastewater system and replaced it all to 4 apt. units for about 7 Gs. Not cheap, but damn, that was some gnarly work, all in tight spaces with decades of rust, leakiness, moldiness, sodden plaster, and filth. I wouldn't do it for any price, so I consider it a deal. Even passed inspection, so it must be to the letter, as it were.

Daniel's a super nice guy and seems quite honest. Give 'em a try.

Super responsive with quotes and questions. Competitive pricing (best price I could find by far for toilet installation). They did a great job and worked fast. They kept me updated when additional work needed to be done or when they needed additional parts, neither of which greatly inflated the cost above the original quote. This is a great experience compared to another plumber we used to install a water heater that left us feeling like we'd been ripped off. Daniel and his assistant (Junior?) did a great job for a great price! I will call them for our future plumbing needs.

I have used Gateway Rooter a number of times over the last few years and have had very good experiences each time.

Daniel is super chill and gets the work done. I've never felt stiffed or price gouged, he charges very reasonable rates and gets the work done on time.

My last project for him was the biggest. I had been having problems with my basement studio flooding each time there was a decent storm in San Francisco and although he had been snaking my drains, and he even rebuilt one of them, the water was leaking in from the basement door sill and other places.

I had been calling contractors to my house to fix the problem and each contractor had different ideas on how to fix the problems. One contractor even said it could cost up to $50k to replace the back wall of my house since he thought the problem could be caused dry rot. OMG, that scared the hell out of me.

I called Daniel to come out and see if he had any ideas about why my basement studio was flooding and we decided that the problem was 2 fold:

1) The upper level outdoor drain needed to be enlarged so that all the water could drain out since the current drain was pretty small.

2) Most likely the leaking issue over my door sill in the basement studio was happening because the gutters had never been cleaned and the rain was running down the side of my house instead of draining down the gutter drains.

Once he enlarged the upper outdoor drain and replaced the gutter and pipe that goes into the sewer the rain stopped coming into my house. I also had another gutter company come out and replace the other gutter and drain because Daniel did not have the correct type of ladder to get to that part of my roof. After all this work was done my leak problem that had been plaguing me for a few years ceased. I did not have to pay $50k to fix the problem and only paid a couple of thousand all together.

I am very happy with the work that Daniel does and will be loyal customer from now on. Thanks Daniel!

Wow, thought I would give more than 3 stars after reading all these great reviews. I made an appointment for 11-12. No one showed up. I contacted thru yelp. He responded, shortly. I thought shortly means 10-20 minutes, at most 30 minutes? No, they came 2 hours late! Are you serious? My toilet was clogged for two days, I needed it fixed. I took my plunger and snake. Tried a couple times. I fixed it. Then, they were at the door. I said you guys are more than 2 hours late, u expect me to wait forever? They never show they were sorry and turned their back and left. Soon after, I received a text from one of those guys I guess. He said he will report me to the building department. I've never experienced something outrageous like this. I gave them my phone number when I made the appointment. No one cares to call or text me to let me know what was going on. I had to keep contacting the company thru yelp. I will definitely not recommend this business. Rude workers!

I contacted Daniel on Yelp from among a dozen of other service providers, and he was willing to provide us the service quickly and at a low price.

We've requested to flush the water heater tank, and Daniel was up for the task.

Although he had an emergency that prevented him from coming on the scheduled time, he rescheduled to the next day with 50% discount for the inconvenience.

We're very happy with the great water quality, and we appreciate the provided service and the professionalism.

Daniel and his team were called to fix the overflow on a bathtub that was newly installed by a contractor Gateway came over quickly, replaced the overflow and pipes and had the bathtub back up and running in less than 3hrs. Although I would have paid whatever it took to stop the leak, Gateway had the best price....bonus!

The best part of my experience is the peace of mind they gave me that the job was done right.
There was no way I was gonna call back the contractor who did a jerry-rig job in the first place. Daniel and the Gateway team explained the problem and recommended I call the contractor to do the work. This let me know that this wasn't an ordinary greedy company that just wants the job, they looked out for my interest.

Need a tub replaced? Don't waste your time calling someone else first, call Gateway Rooter and Plumbing.

Day after Xmas, toilet overflows. I come here for tips and call them as they're in the neighborhood. Junior is here within the hour, which is already a plus, At one point he says they might have to pull the toilet out to fix it, always a pain as our toilets are wall mounted (concrete floors, industrial building retrofit) and then I have to hire someone else to fix the wall.
But yay! He gets it done with no further trauma. And despite being a weekend it's a reasonable price with a 30-day guarantee. Other plumbing companies will take their time getting here, half heartedly take a stab at it and charge you even though the problem is still there. Go with Gateway.

I needed a garbage disposal changed . I called around to get a sense of what is involved and how much it would cost. Of the five places I contacted, 2 gave me a price of $250-$300 and the other 3 were around $150-$160. Based on my telephone conversation with Daniel (turned out to be the owner) and the Yelp ratings (Yahoo also had similar ratings), I decided to go with this company. It was one of the best decisions I made.

We talked in the morning and made an appointment for the afternoon of the same day. Daniel and his assistant came on time, fixed the problem, cleaned out the work area, and even did some stuff which was not part of our discussion, WITHOUT ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGE. What a treat.

I will very highly recommend this company and I will definitely call them for my future repairs.

Dan and his crew installed a bunch of toilets for me. Very simple stuff. He knows what he's doing and if he's doing the job, I would trust it. I have to dock a couple stars for a few reasons. First, he was mucho late for one of the appointments. Like an hour late. He didn't text, didn't call. When I called, he was always on the way, just around the corner. Just give me a best guess ETA, don't lie. Second, he brought a couple guys with him and they were sloppy with the caulking of the toilet against the baseboard. In one case, they didn't even do it! That's ok with me because hired help doesn't care. It's Dan's job to make sure his crew is finishing right, and he failed that bit of quality control. I was originally going to give 3 stars, but credited one star for the low service price.

Excellent service. Fairly priced. We had a few problems left by the previous contractor and they took care of them all all as we needed. They were not pushy, so we got exactly what we wanted and needed. They wrote an estimate and stood by it. It seems that Daniel and hi steam know what they are doing.

Professional, speedy, and on-time, these guys don't mess around. They quickly diagnosed the problem with the garbage disposal--a stupid little stuck screw--and within minutes we were up and running with a working kitchen sink again. The quote was very reasonable and the service top-notch--would definitely recommend Gateway for your next plumbing job.

Daniel and his crew were AMAZING. Here are the reasons. 1. I called and he came over within an hour (no extra charge). 2. He fixed a problem another plumber came and tried to fix, but didn't (a plugged drain pipe). 3. Had the tools to do a quick and thorough job-- including a pipe camera and various washer heads that drilled out the gunk 4. Decided to reduce his quote (with no prompting from me) to 5 dollars less then the first guy-- Aqua plumping (he lacked the tools and quoted me for $2500 to fix the problem that Daniel found not to be a problem at all! This was $30 dollars less then the quote. 5. Came back after the plugged pipe was unplugged just to further wash out the pipes. 6. Gave me a 30 day warranty. I would call these guys over Aqua Star ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!

Obviously it depends on who actually does the work, but the man who worked on my home wasn't qualified. His copper work was shoddy and he manners horrendous. He was unreliable. I had to fire him and hire someone else to tear out his work and start over.

I was adding a sink to a WC and a toilet to a half bath. I also needed a new valve for a shower.The job was fairly routine and Gateway was actually recommended by my carpenter. Three men showed up and the one who seemed to know what he was doing turned out to be a sub-contracter who was kicking in during a busy time. I wish he had stuck with the job, but after the first day, which went fairly smoothly, he never came back.

After the second day of work he didn't even show up, and when he did come to do a few hours of work here and there I was very nervous. The shower was crooked and off center, the pipes in the basement were spagetti, and he even burned a hole in my carpenter's pneumatic hose. Then actually tried to tape it to repair it. I really lost respect when I heard him cursing his helper who clearly wasn't the problem. The guy was a mess.

Soon enough, I had to stop him He had gotten more than half of the money and wasn't about to pay it back so I just said goodbye and hired someone else to redo the work. I lost 10 days on a 4 week job, plus a few thousand dollars. Ouch. At least he eventually bought the carpenter a new hose.

A friend gave me Daniel's number, although he actually didn't use him. Why not? Because Daniel wouldn't get back to him or respond to calls/emails for days, and when he finally did stop by, he wouldn't give him an estimate. Told my friend to write it up himself? So, he went with another guy, more expensive but at least he communicated.

I thought I'd give Daniel a try, and emailed, and he came right over the next day, signed a contract for the following month to start work installing a complete new bathroom. Seemed like my friend was wrong about him. So, now, it's a week before he's supposed to start, so I call him, and email him, every day for a week and no response. What? So I'm back to square one, and calling other plumbers for estimates. Got one who actually was $250 less than Daniel....

So, Daniel finally calls back, and says he was out of town in LA (no answering service, I suppose, or telephones in LA?) He says he'll call me back, as he has a conference call. I say great, I wanted to talk to him, since I had found someone a slightly bit less expensive, but wanted to talk to him and go with Daniel, because (1) I have a signed contract with him, and (2) Daniel's yelp comments were better, and he seemed nicer.

Well, Daniel never calls back, so I call him and leave another message, saying I'd like him to call so we can discuss starting work in 2 days. He texts me back and says: Go for it ???? what??? go for what? Where is he? He then continues to text me back and forth like we're in high school, even though my response is please call me, I'd like to talk with you... I tried flattery: I'd prefer to go with you, since we've signed a contract and you're so nice... but nothing but snide remarks back hope it isn't angel's plumbing...

So, IF he'll respond, and IF he'll show up after signing a contract for over a thousand dollars of work, and IF he'll talk to you, maybe he's good. Never had the opportunity to find out. So immature and unprofessional, I'd rather pay more for someone who can act right.

We have asked Daniel to fix our plumbing problems in our residence as well as our rental properties. Just a few days ago, we had called Dan about sewer backing up in the bathtub of our rental property. He was able to identify the problem right away. It was caused by tree roots that is clogging the sewer line. He was able to fix the problem right away for a very reasonable fee. We always trust on Dan to give us a fair price

I called around for plumber in the area for my grandmothers house...lots of work was needed as the house is a victorian, Gateway Rooter and Plumbing gave the best help and advice i could ever ask for, a true life saver as others wanted to charge a fortune and rip me off and my elderly grandmother....while some people complain about other peoples work yet do not realize what a great deal they are getting by comparisons, take Scotts review for instance just from the description of work alone that he described, he paid way under what any plumber would have charged or even come close to....... Daniel goes out of his way and breaks his back, our mainline was no good he ran a video camera and showed me what was going on in the pipes and for that alone was cheaper than any competetor, my water heater needed replacing which i know he does not do these any more and also other pipes were replaced which were badly rusted galvanized pipes and replaced..... also our old toilet was replaced with a water saver type,everything legit and permits pulled if needed and verified with the city. Daniel seems to be pretty occupied with a lot of work all over the bay. I was lucky, happy and over 110% satisfied may you have the fortune of using him someday and SAVE BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!
Like a good mechanic a good Plumber is just as hard to find. Gateway Rooter And Plumbing for the win.

I have a sewer pipe that runs through our front yard with lots of vegetation and trees, so the pipe gets clogged a lot. Previously I used a friends snake to clear it up but this time was especially difficult and after two days of trying to do it myself I called Gateway based on the reviews I read here. Saturday morning I called around 9:30 and talked to Daniel who said he could come at 11am. We discussed price and he does provide a warranty for his work.

He came to my house early around 10:45 and had the snake ready to go. I showed him the clean out pipe and warned him that sometimes the snake will go the wrong way since there is a bend at the connector. This prompted him to get the snake camera and he verified the snake was going the correct direction. Not surprisingly we saw lots of roots in the pipe. After about 10 minutes of working the snake he pulled it out and the root cause was revealed, literally.

I definitely recommend Gateway Rooter & Plumbing. Thanks Daniel for the quick solution to my problem.

These are the nicest guys we've come across in a while. We had a blocked toilet on a Sunday afternoon. It's our only toilet, so we were stressed, not sure if it could be fixed before the next day. They came soon, but it seems that between the toilet being called and their coming, the toilet had unplugged itself. They ran a few tests, checked things out, told us we were good to go, and then they didn't charge us because the toilet had been okay in the first place. We'll call them, and gladly, the next time we have an issue. Oh! And they put on shoe covers without our asking, which we've never seen anyone do before. Thank you!

Totally 5 star. Daniel and his helper made what another plumber said was a HUGE and VERY EXPENSIVE job simple and straight forward. The other guy had a big scenario of ripping out ceilings, and cutting this and that for over $3K, and Daniel came in and saw the smart simple way to do the job,for $800. He did it quickly, with no fuss, some muss, and a good attitude.
We had him back for another job which looked horrible to me and he solved right then and there by snaking a long line. Cheerful, reasonably on time, willing to work with me to find the easy smart solution, and reasonably priced.
Daniel has the plumbing gods on his side!

I have used Gateway Rooter twice now and their work is excellent and well-priced. The first job was a major replacement of 10' of sewer line on my property, buried 7' deep. Despite the fact that there were some unforseen problems that resulted in extra work, Daniel kept to his estimate which far and away beat the competition. Also, unlike other plumbers reviewed on Yelp, he didn't nickel and dime me for everything, like using the camera to scope the sewer. The second job was just completed and again, the work was done quickly and at a reasonable price. In this city, trying to find a tradesman who is reliable, reasonably priced, punctual and doesn't have an attitude is almost impossible. Gateway is an exception.

Daniel is a true maestro of plumbing, the art of keeping water flowing and contained. I first hired him over 6 years ago, after my previous plumber, having gotten fed-up with the expensiveness of our fair city, moved out-of-state with his new family and I had a weekend emergency created by a bursted pipe under the front garden of my house. A few days before, DPW had completed a repair on the main supply line and when the service was restored, a puddle of water started to form and then a river of water was running down the sidewalk. The City denied any liability for my burst pipe, but Daniel also checked the sewer line and found roots from a sidewalk tree right above. He submitted them to The City along with all the paperwork and got them to pay for the repair that cost over $10K. He told me that my next door neighbors sewer line had roots from another tree on the sidewalk, but my neighbor didn't do anything with this information and, when their house had a sewer back up into their garage a few months later, they had to pay for the repair themselves, as The City had recently made homeowners responsible for trees (and damages they do) in front of their properties.

I am so grateful I found them. I was looking for a good plumber for some time, and I finally found Daniel who is very professional and kind. He just fixed my toilet and my faucet and the whole experience was very hassle-free & stress-free! Even though he had to come back again to finish up, he didn't ask me any money to pay for now... I really didn't expect that he would show his trust first!

And his job was perfect and I am very satisfied with his work!!

Great job. Arrived quickly, quoted a price, worked with no chit chat, fixed all my issues, even the ones I'd forgotten when I called. Kitchen sink pipe replaced & extra gaskets replaced, pipes repositioned as I guess they were wrong, bathroom sink problem I'd had for 15 years was fixed instantly, new faucet I'd bought ages ago was replaced, slow drainage I'd been having was fixed with a snake. If there is a price for honesty and good service (sans BS) then Dan Guerrero of Gateway Plumbing should be charging 7X more, as much as the some of the other plumbing companies out there that start with trying to sell you memberships and quote you a price based on your neighborhood. I had a backed up kitchen sink with the problem being in the outlet to sewer. Gateway was my second call from Yelp reviews after the first big time plumber a Mr. R....r came by and gave me an estimate that was clearly insane and based upon the houses and the neighborhood. Dan came by performed the exact same service - snake, camera diagnosis and flush and was done in half an hour. On top of his price - 1/7th of the other guys - he offered a 30 day warranty! His card is now on my fridge magnet. Skip the others call Gateway.

i couldn't have been happier with daniel at gateway rooter. the drain under my sink was driving me crazy because water kept coming up from it making it hard to do dishes or anything else. i had tried chemicals and it had been snaked but nothing worked until daniel came in. within ten minutes and for a reasonable price my drain was working properly. prompt, courteous and effective. who could ask for anything more?

Daniel is fantastic. We'd been having issues with the backyard drain for a year and after the last storm we had 6 inches of standing water. We tried to pipe snake it ourselves and sewage started coming up, so we found Daniel on Yelp. After the first try, he had to leave and get a bigger snake because the clog had backed up into the main line. We freaked because that sounded expensive. But after he came back and worked for 2+ hours everything was draining and he only charged us $80 for the whole job!

Ok, this is hands down the best plumber in SF! Daniel is absolutely amazing! I called after hours (around 8 pm) because my toilet was clogged. Within 15 minutes, two technicians were at my house (and I don't even live near their office). They were very polite and efficient, and discovered that there was a root in the main sewer system by sticking a camera down my toilet. I did not realize that they didn't accept credit cards (I also don't have a checking account), and had no cash on me, but they were incredibly kind and laidback about it, and agreed to stop by a couple days later so that I could pay them at a time that was convenient for me. Prices were competitive. Service was high quality. Would highly recommend Gateway Rooter & Plumbing. This is probably the best experience I have ever had w/ a plumber! Call up Daniel next time your toilet clogs-- you won't regret it!

Coming home from work and having to deal with clogged plumbing is nothing to look forward to. I had no luck with the local plumbers so I searched the web and found Gateway Rooter. Gave them a call, set up a time, and the job was done. Very satisfied customer! They are very professional and I would highly recommend them.
