We've (unfortunately) had to involve Mr. Rooter in our lives a few times over the past several years, both as renters and now as homeowners. Customer service and timeliness of service provision has always been top notch in all our experiences. This time, when we were the ones footing the bill instead of the landlord, I felt I could give a complete review.
Our plumbing issue needed attention on New Year's Day, which was a holiday. I called around noon and we had a plumber out by 5 pm. He immediately assessed our problem, which required mitigation specialist involvement (water damage that required dryout, demo, cutting into the wall). Our plumber, Keith, called the mitigation specialist and had him at the house within an hour. Keith made sure to explain everything in detail, was happy to answer questions, and made sure we understood what our homeowner's insurance would cover as a result of the damage.
After the dryout and demo was complete, the office staff at Mr. Rooter followed up with us and got us scheduled in a timely manner for the plumbing repair. Keith was back out on the promised day within the promised window, and repaired our plumbing issue that same day. He cleaned up the debris, threw it away, and cleaned up after himself as if he were never there. Keith explained the work performed, reviewed the bill with me before I paid, and made sure I had copies of everything.
Every part of our job from start to finish was A+! Plumbing emergencies are such a nightmare but we felt that all our interactions with Mr. Rooter were honest and professional.

I'm so glad I went with these guys (I think my guys name was jeff?) He talked me through the whole process so i knew he wasnt trying to upcharge or anything, he was polite and punctual and kept the work area very clean. His work spoke measures for the consideration he seemed to have for his clients. He finished everything quicker than expected too. I even had enough time to run the errands that I had all but canceled because of the arrising issue. I will be using their services again :) 10/10 experience!

Every place has that one employee that thinks they can talk to people anyway they want on the phone. My company does a lot of business with Backflow Parts USA and their employee Mike never wants to be bothered or inconvenienced with looking up a purchase order and acts like when you're calling for something we are bothering him. Do yourself a favor and use American Backflow Parts or Bavco. In the long run both of these companies are cheaper even though you may need to wait on shipping from Bavco but it is always reliable and only 2 days to receive.

Get ready, because this is a doozy.
My wife and I were in the process of purchasing a home. We hired Roto Rooter to come and do a thorough inspection of our pipes (it's an older home.) Technician came out and said there was a slight belly in one of our pipes, but it was nothing to be concerned about, but that was the only issue he'd seen.
Fast forward to about a month being in our home. Our guest bathroom tub backed up. Like, a lot. We called a plumber, he came out and snaked the drain. Everything's good. Then, in December, RIGHT AFTER we had our backyard redone, we had another issue with the tub backing up. Called the plumber again, he came out and snaked the drain and used his camera to see what the issue was. He saw the belly (again, we were told not a big concern by RR,) but then he went further down the line and guess what he found? A pipe that was full-on collapsing! He assured us that there was no possible way it could have happened in the short amount of time we'd lived there. He estimated it would be FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS for repairs, not including the fact that we'd have to get our brand new yard pulled back up!
So, I call RR to see what was on the notes the tech had taken and get the video of his inspection. The woman I spoke to, who was very nice, told me that it showed video was taken and read me the notes. However the person who had access to the video was out for the day but they were sending an action notice of top priority for me to get a call back the next day. The next day never came.
So, I call again. Same situation. I call again. I get the run around again. To save time, I have called no less than 15 times without a response from Raquelle or her manager Mary.
Fast forward again, now it's the beginning of March. I made my first call in January. I call Roto Rooter. Again, the customer service rep was very nice, she seemed to understand my frustration and got me in contact with a technician. When I spoke with him, he offered to come and do another inspection. I politely declined as we already know what the issue is (and I was not about to pay them to ANY type of work.) I asked him about the video and he said there was no video. Now, since you've read this far, you may remember that on my VERY FIRST CALL I was told that they had the video, but the rep didn't have access to give it to me. I responded with, well, either you're lying to me or the original rep lied to me. He responded with Roto Rooter gave us a discount (what?) on our inspection because the camera they used didn't have video capabilities. Again, what? I assure you, a discount was never discussed when we used their company to do our inspection.
I write all this because I just called Roto Rooter again. I asked for Raquelle specifically. Again, she wasn't in the office, nor was her manager. At 2pm. On a Wednesday.
DO NOT use Roto Rooter. Just don't. Save yourself time and money and find a local plumber who will actually respond and take your frustrations seriously.
Dear Roto-Rooter,
I worked in customer service for a long time. When someone calls with an issue, you find a solution. Period. I hate the idea of being an anonymous keyboard warrior, but given the amount of times I've attempted to speak with someone, I was left with no choice. Someone needs to step up and take responsibility for your negligence and pure disregard and disrespect for your customers. It is unacceptable and you'll continue to hear from me, in every humanly way possible. If you read this and would like to discuss this further, you'll find my number and email in the various apparent messages and emails you've not responded to.

I originally called them out to unclog a line and they sent a camera down the line and told me that the pipe was collapsed and they they would have to cut through a cement foundation and replace portions of the pipe costing be in the vicinity of $3,000. I called another plumber and they successfully snaked out the clog for about $100. It has been several months and everything seems to be working great. Will never ever call Diggers again.

Our first experience with AAA. I purchased it for my wife, so when I'm out of town she would be taken care of, so I thought. My wife called at 3:30 Pm for a tow truck, nobody came. At 5pm another call waited on hold for 20 minutes, not joking, so they could tell us when truck would arrive. We were placed on a priority list. Sounds good? 6:30 the truck shows up. Not pleased with how they left my wife stranded in the heat for 3 hours, in a bad part of town. Everything closed. Very upset. Wouldn't waste your money.

We had this company do our commercial backflow tests on our two backflows. One failed and they did not provide a bid to repair it nor tag the backflows as inspected. When we contacted them to find out when they were there they gave us a date. In checking our video surveillance their truck was never on our property. He is very rude to talk to and said one backflow failed. As there was another address on the report and no sign of them on video so I had another company inspect the backflows. Both passed with no problem. Maybe they did inspect them, I don't know but I've never talked to such a rude business owner in my life. Told me my annual inspection fee is no loss to his business!
