Best General Contractors in Arizona
I am in the Solar Industry. One of our customers had Attic Vents throughout a roof, limiting us from installing panels.
Our design team determined we could relocate the vents, offer more panels, and Jeff & Alan Proctor inspected the roof, determined where we could place them and took care of this for us.
Our company, and, our now mutual customer, were very satisfied with their service.

I got lucky finding this guy!!!!
I needed walls and floors replaced from an old roof leak. He was also skilled to handle a hidden water leak in the laundry room.
Come to find out, George is more than just a handy man. He's a professional contractor with lots of experience building houses.
Extremely impressive with how quick George responded to my request. George is assertive, responsive, friendly, and knows what he is doing. He is accommodating and helpful. He also helped me move some items in my house. Just an overall great and trustworthy guy.

We have a 1953 'pyramid shaped roof' slump block ranch style home with a couple of newer 'flat roofed' additions. We had layers of distressed shingles, some rotted fascia wood, rusted and dented venting and a huge water retaining dip in one of the additions. C & H fixed it all with new painted galvanized fixtures and wood, be it plywood or 1x6's. We even tested the dip using a hose on our new roof - its GONE!
Nick High (Owner) stresses quality work and products when he talks to you and it shows up in the finished product. He checks back after the work is finished to be sure you are satisfied. He was easily reachable to answer questions and really understands Sonoran Desert roofing. His fair pricing, honesty, scheduling flexibility along with friendly tear off and finishing crews made the trauma of home repair almost fun.
C & H's roof crew arrived prepared on time each day, communicated well, were skilled, worked hard and cleaned up before they left EVERY day. The new roof looks great and water no longer leaks in around our addition's roof vents either. I highly recommend C & H Roofing if you're looking for a good local Arizona company.

Provided very reasonable estimate for my small 10x16 shed. Finished the job the following week. Excellent workmanship and fully satisfied with results.

We recently purchased a foreclosure property where the water heater had burst, causing damage to the stand and drywall surrounding the water heater. The bank replaced the water heater, but refused to repair the damaged drywall and it quickly became laden with mold.
On a referral from our Realtor, we hired Wayne Glashagel (Owner of AMA Contstruction) to repair the water heater stand and surrounding drywall. Wayne drained the water heater, disconnect the copper pipes, remove the water heater, tore out the water heater stand, sprayed Killz on the moldy areas and rebuilt the stand from the ground up. Afterward, Wayne reconnected the water heater to the plumbing.
Wayne was very courteous and professional, arrived early for the appointment and did a fantastic job on the repair of the water heater stand. It looked brand new and the drywall texture matched the existing texture perfectly.
I would highly recommend Wayne for any general contract work.

They refinished one of our tub's this week and it looks brand new. The house is over 20 years old. I'm so happy with the results. They were professional and I would use them again if I had another job like this.

We are having a shed built. We were going to use tuff shed, because that's who home depot recommended. We had nothing but problems with tuff shed. This company did not complain or use any of the excuses tuff shed did. Talking with him they have been in business for over 30 years. I found this company on the internet and was a little leary due to there website but oh my goodness I am beyond happy! We placed the order Saturday (of a holiday weekend) and they are here installing it on Tuesday! I'm pretty sure that he is just old school and having a website presence is just hard to maintain. They are professional. They are friendly. They are putting the shed right where we want it! Even though they have to do some careful maneuvering around our pool. They were finished within hours. I would recommend this company any day!

Ashco's owner does not stand by his work. My elderly mother on a fixed income had them install a new roof. They installed the flashing wrong around the AC unit. It started leaking on the interior. When I contacted him about the leaking he said it was past the two year warranty. He was notified by a couple of consumer advocate agencies with no response. His ROC status is Voluntary Cancellation. Case in point. If I could give them a zero I would. His business ethics give contractors a bad name. He could care less about the quality of his work.

We were looking forward to using the Windsor window products in a reno project. If the quality and service were there we were going to give them first opportunity at the new home and shop project in the Foothills. The response to my call was good and he 'seemed' quite accommodating. When it came time to get them our cashiers cheque for the required deposit, the salesman became quite the wise ass! We've been in business ourselves for a number of years and I don't recall anyone speaking to me like that before! The cheque went right back into our account. A shame really.

Steve is a pleasure to work with and is very honest and trustworthy. It would be difficult for me to find someone I trust more than Steve. In spite of his busy schedule he always made time to respond to any questions I had.

Dear future Meritage home buyers,
We are here sharing our bad experience with Meritage, as we do not wish for any home buyer to go through what we went through with this so called Quality builder. So please consider it a warning for future buyers to read this before you sign any document with Meritage...The whole thing was so painful that after few months passed we are still sore and feel motivated to write this review in order to expose the sad truth of this company, who does not deliver what it promises. We hope that these experiences will be avoided in the future by letting future customers be aware of what to be expected with this company.
We were scheduled to close last fall (2018), however, things went downhill from the moment the house was ready for the walk through which was a week prior to closing. There were COUNTLESS defects in the house, many damages, and so many unfinished areas. It was quite humiliating walking through the house that was ready to close, but yet presented in such an awful state. Please see pictures attached so you can evaluate yourself the conditions of the house at our final walk through at closing time. We brought up all these problems to Meritage management, either they completely ignored to address them or they made us look like we were demanding such crazy requests, claiming that there is no such thing as a perfect house. The carpet seam lines were very visible, but instead of addressing the issue, they'll tell us those are vacuum lines which clearly were not. The difference is obvious between carpet seams and vacuum lines. The granite counter top was absorbing water and instead of telling us they will seal it for us, they claimed it was already sealed from the factory and that of course any natural stone will absorb liquid.... what kind of response is that for a kitchen counter top ??? The paint quality was so sloppy that it looked like it was done by a group of elementary kids. Although we blue taped all the defects, much of the problems were still there at the time of closing. Very basic things like windows not opening and doors not latching were not addressed. The backyard that we had was basically unusable land because of the of very steep incline that they were not willing to fix. The driveway had a bump on it that every time we would drive on it, it would scratch the bottom of our cars. We can keep going on and on about the things that went wrong in the house, but more importantly, we were very disappointed in the way were treated overall. This was honestly the most disheartening experience we had in our life. We were buying a huge purchase, only to be belittled, ignored, and talked down to. We tried to voice our concerns to every source of their management and corporate team, however, no one reached out to us and this is the very reason we decided to post a review. They clearly do not care about addressing concerns. All they really care about is building houses in masses and get you to sign the contract as soon as possible. The builder was too busy closing on 18 houses that month to even know what was going on in our house. There was no supervisor on site.
Due to this, we ended up having no choice but to cancel the contract. There was no way we can move into a house that had countless defects or accept the way we were treated.
We tried to ask for our deposit back, they said they were ready to deliver a complete house but that we did not want it. Which is not true, as the house was not complete at all nor presented within standards. So on top of all the frustration that we went through, we ended up losing our money. We escalated to Meritage CEO, hoping at that level we would receive some attention. However, there was no response whatsoever.
Please save yourself the hassle of dealing with meritage. Their houses are built only for show. The material that they use is very cheap. The quality and workmanship of the house was very below standards. And do not expect responses from the builder or the management with concerns that you have once you sign the contract. Expect to be put in the dark about your closing date, and of course, not to close on time, as our closing was pushed an entire month, only to get a house that wasn't even complete! They wanted to finish some things after closing, which is completely ridiculous after the long the wait that we waited.
At the end of the day, this house was not built to standards or even acceptable conditions for the price we were going to pay. Nor was the treatment that we received at all acceptable. We would have never signed a contract with Meritage had we known the stress that we were to get ourselves in and the time that we were to waste.

I hired Wendler Construction to renovate my home, he in turn hired D and J Construction to frame parts of the original house, an 800 sqft addition and garage. They did a horrible job... they used 2x4's when the plans called for 2x6's, used wrong footings on the front wall of the house, used wrong calculations on the truss fabrication thus not allowing enough room for the hvac duct work, and had to reframe interior walls and a new skylight, which they did wrong resulting in having to purchase a custom skylight. Wendler Construction's lack of experience, skill, and ability to manage my renovation, caused over 5 months of delays and tens of thousands of dollars in additional costs. And then halfway thru the project, right after Christmas break, Wendler Construction quit on me. After almost a year in construction, I am still finding mistakes made under Wendler Construction's management. I would not recommend them.

Our home was damaged by a water heater leak. The owner of Nor'easter determined early on that we were a small job. We learned later that what he meant was that we were low priority. Several weeks later (he admitted that the job took longer then it should have) we have a home repair job that ran well into 5 figures that seems to have been done properly and looks nice.
Communication is definitely not the strong suit of this contractor. And anytime that we the consumer are positioned between a contractor and an insurance company you can rest assured that the process will be confusing. I still don't have the numbers sorted out!
