Best Plumbing Services in Austin, TX
I want to thank Jacob, who saved me $$ and time, and also did wonderful things for my self confidence as a craftsman.
So, I am an aspiring handyman whose ambition at times outruns my ability.
I wanted to install a recirculating pump to save water, as it used to take a long time to get hot water at our master bathroom shower and sinks. I carefully followed all directions in the water heater owner's manual and the pump, and was able to eventually install the pump so it looks like in the pictures (albeit after many grunts, groans, lots of sweating, and mild cursing). It seems the older I get the less able I am to work under my sink!
Next, I went back to the water heater to turn it on. I again followed all the instructions on the owner's manual, but the pilot light wouldn't light. I tried it several times, and had give up hope of getting it lit without replacing parts. I even looked at videos on how to replace the igniter. Not too terribly difficult, but I've been there before. I'm superb at taking things apart, but not so good at putting them back together.
I finally decided I needed professional help, and looked on Yelp. Immediately, I got a response from Jacob, who talked me thru the procedure, verifying I had done everything right. It was tough, as we had a bad connection, and he was in the middle of a job. He offered to call me right back; while waiting, I went back to my heater, but kept the lights off so I could see the inside the igniter window. This time, I was able to see the spark, and even got the pilot to light briefly, though it shut off again. Right about then, Jacob got back to me, and helped me troubleshoot.
We went through the steps together, and this time the pilot stayed lit, and when I turned the thermostat on the heater, we got the big flame and whoosh, and not it's working just fine.
Thank you Jacob. You helped me repair my water heater from miles away, avoiding a trouble call from you (and $$), and avoided me trying to replace a part that was working just fine. In today's world, where so often people are less than honest, it's refreshing to find someone like you. Thank you.

You might lead a charmed life and go through it without ever needing a plumber, but if you ever DO, I can't say enough great things about The Plumbinator Round Rock. Mickey and his crew have stood by us throughout several different episodes and they've been professional, honest and trustworthy and perform superior work every single time. They're great, someone you can rely on when you need help, and I wholeheartedly recommend them for your plumbing needs.

David from Make it Drain came to my home Saturday morning and fixed two toilets which were backing into the bathtubs. He was very friendly, professional and honest. He arrived quickly after calling to tell me he was on his way and resolved the problem within 30 minutes so we could get back to remodeling the rest of the house. I highly recommend calling David for your plumbing needs!

I was really happy with Kimco Plumbing. They answered their phone, showed up to the job on time, they offered me 2 solutions to my problem and had the correct parts stocked on the truck and finished the job in a timely manor. Plus their price was fair. David was the plumber that helped us, he was knowledgeable professional and skilled. I would highly recommend this company!

I am so impressed with the quality of work and attention to detail on the installation of my storm door. Extremely professional and bar none the best phone call I've made for service in MANY years. I will always recommend this company and will continue to use them for years! Polite, reliable, professional - can't beat that.

Lowe's installer for a gas range. Once I made contact with Wilma (scheduler for installations) she set up the install for the next day. Cliff and Brandon were the installation team and Cliff gave me a courtesy call prior to arrival, which was within the time window specified by Wilma. Cliff and Brandon were prompt on their arrival, and were quick and efficient in their removal of the old range and installation of the new unit. And icing on the cake - both Cliff and Brandon were very friendly, courteous, and careful of our hallway walls as they removed the old range and brought in the new range. They pointed out a chip in the enamel of the new range when it was removed from the packaging and offered me the choice of refusing the delivery. I chose to disregard the defect but I appreciate them being forthright in bringing it to my attention. Everyone I dealt with at Fairway - Wilma, Cliff, and Brandon - was friendly and professional. A very positive experience.

Contacted Ray to replace my kitchen faucet since the original one was still in there. The house was built in the 60s. It took a lot of work since original valves were pretty rusted. Ray did an awesome job replacing the faucet and the garbage disposal. I definitely recommend him. He's professional and was wonderful work with. He's my new plumber!!

I typically avoid writing bad reviews. But I just have to throw this out there...If you have any sort of problem that requires immediate attention, or attention that you scheduled, find another provider. I took two days off work waiting for these people to show up. Figured we'd be safe going with a national chain, I was sorely mistaken. Back to Thumbtack we go!

I find it very telling that in all of your responses you continuously blame the customer instead of acknowledging that you did not perform the service requested. Your plumber did NOT replace anything in the upstairs toilet. This was verified by the second company that I had come out to do the service you said your tech could do.
After having another company come out, and having Manville come out, there was absolutely no issue with the PRV valve! It was in perfect condition. The issue with the low water pressure turned out to be the water softner which, had your techinician been a qualified plumber, he would have known that immediately. Instead your tech, and your receptionist wanted to insist it was a bad PRV. Once I had the water softner replaced, the water pressure returned to normal. However, the upstairs toilet continued to run.
Since you feel the need to badmouth your customers I will address the check issue. Yes, my daughter unknowingly wrote you a check from a closed account. It was a innocent mistake, and one I was willing to correct immediately. When your office manager called she was rude, accusatory and down right hateful. The mistake was NOT done intentionally, and I offered to fix it immediately. No, I was not going to pay the NSF because you were not charged one. It may have been wrong however when your office manager was hateful to me, and refused to acknowledge that NO work had been performed, and told me I would have to pay a new service fee just to get someone else to come back out to verify the first tech didn't do his job, I decided I was not going to pay the check. I did not feel that I got anything for my money especially when I had to have another provider come out and do the actual work!
You commented with this statement, We offered to set up an appointment to come back out and service the commode that we worked on and we needed to collect the payment for the service that was already performed in addition to the returned check charges. You refused to have our plumber come back out to service the commode because you did not want to pay for anything additional if we wouldn't cover the repair under warranty. We explained that we offer a 90 day warranty on repairs and you would not be charged for coming back out unless we had to replace additional parts outside of what was previously done, but you would only be charged for parts replaced. This is an absolute blatant lie! At no time did anyone ever offer to schedule someone else to come out. I asked your office person to get someone else to come out only to be told I would have to pay another service fee, cost of additional parts, etc! That is crap especially when the work wasn't performed the first time. Not to mention, no one said a word about any kind of warranty! EVER!
In fact, today I sent you an email to prove that your tech did not repair the toilet with water bills for the past two months. I have lived in this house for 6 years, and my bill has never exceeded $35! Because your unqualified tech did not repair or replace anything in the toilet, my bill for January was $79! My bill for February was $111! I called Manville and it is a direct result of the toilet running continuously that was not repaired by your tech. We will see what kind of customer service you offer, and if you will pay the difference between my normal bill, and the rate I was charged because your employee did not perform the work I was charged for. My bet is that you won't do anything!
It is sad, but your company will remain in business because most people do not check out plumbers. You will continue to screw people over that call you for help. As I heard about you on KOKE FM I have let them know of your terrible service. Unfortunately Bob Cole continues to advertise you on the air because he wants to believe in good Austin businesses. You are doing him a disservice when he asks people to use you, and you fail to perform.

I am so glad my wife and I connected with Paul at Confidence plumbing. For the quick review I give 5 stars for quality, communication, and integrity.
As for the details, this review is based on a pretty major job -- our service line from the house to the sewer line at the street needed to be replaced. I had an idea this might be the case, as the issues we were experiencing pointed to a major problem with the line. At the time when water was backing up into the house, my wife was the only one at home. When she called Confidence, the person answering the phone was able to help her avert a major problem by asking her to check other bathrooms, which she had not already done. She was able to get somebody out (Paul) that day to analyze the problem and give us an estimate. I honestly had sticker shock at the estimate, but after a series of searches and some calls, I found the price very reasonable for such a major job. He could have even charged more, as it was an emergency for us and Paul was willing to get a crew started right away. Usually there might be a fee with that type of response with some of the other companies. Also worth noting is that even though the angle of the line to the street was at an agle, increasing the length of the dig and materials needed, Paul stood by his original estimate and completed the job on time and without an increase in our price. Communication was first rate throughout the process as well, and he let me know what would happen every step of the way and even showed me how badly my line was collapsed and damaged in many different places. The new line also has a very cool added feature near the house that will make any future access much easier, as well as an additional access point at the street. Great quality work by an honest and fair person -- we're big fans. (never thought I'd say that about a plumbing company -- but i was never in such a stinky jam before)
NEW EXPERIENCE THREE YEARS LATER 7/2012:
This is a follow up to the glowing review that I wrote in feb. 2009. The job they did, repairing the sewer line, required a permit and a final inspection to close out the permit. They failed to schedule a final inspection, so when a different contractor went to the city to open up a new permit for different work, they could not because of the expired one from Confidence Plumbing. I thought it would be easy to get Paul to finish the job, but after two weeks, many conversations but no action from Nina at their office we had to hire someone else. Hopefully my yard will not need to be retrenched to hold a final inspection.

None of the workers are licensed and very very rude. Never get things done in timely matter and leave their trash everywhere. A young girl that is employed chain smoked cigarettes the whole time and was very rude to me.
