Austex Sprinklers - I cannot express enough appreciation for Jennifer for her customer service and for Anthony the technician that worked on my sprinkler system. They will be my go-to service for anything sprinkler related.
Jennifer is personable and accomodating and Anthony the technician took great care in finding the leak which was not easy to find and contacted me afterwards to explain the problem.

Ryan came out to fix a leak. He was on time and fixed the issue quickly. They thought they would have to replace an expensive back flow valve. But once the area was exposed they fixed the leak at a much less expensive than first thought.

The Austex Sprinklers people were terrific. Our automatic sprinkler system had not worked in weeks. They had someone come out to look at it soon after we called. Josh rapidly diagnosed the problem (a failed controller unit) and installed a replacement. In the course of the inspection, he found a few other minor issues that he was also able to fix.

He was fast and very professional, getting the system up and running perfectly within an hour. We can't recommend Austex Sprinklers enough.

I have been using Austex for several years now, most recently two of zones were not turning off. Chris came by to help me out at the time scheduled, he went about investigating and within a few minutes he figured out what the issue was and explained to me why the issue was happening. I called Austex Sprinklers for a second opinion after a different provider wanted to replace a bunch of parts in the irrigation system of my rental property. Throughout the process they were professional and responsive: from the person who answered my phone call to the one who chatted with me on Yelp to schedule and of course the person who came by to diagnose and fix the issue. The fix that they offered was way simpler and cheaper than what the previous provider recommended and the tenant confirmed that everything is working great.
Hopefully no further service is required any time soon but if another issue occur in then future, I'll for sure use their services again.

As most of you may be aware by now, most companies of this nature are backlogged by several weeks. Regardless, booked an appointment with them to repair a damaged ( non functional ) sprinkler line and to replace several defective sprinkler heads. We worked with Anthony as the service technician.

Anthony was amiable, knowledgeable and patient in regards to diagnosing some issues, making recommendations and answering numerous other related questions. The quality of the work was excellent and the end result was better than expected. I would recommend the team to my friends and cohorts.

FWIW he also re aligned numerous sprinkler heads so I believe I will get far superior coverage then previously.

I was amazed at how quickly Austex Sprinkler responded to our call for help on a leak at my home. It was just after we had our recent big freeze in late January early February and I know they had to be busy. Josh came out and got us up and running in no time and at a very reasonable price. I still have a lot more to do to upgrade my system and I will be calling Austex Sprinkler for sure.

Update. Today, I received a notice from Austex's lawyer stating I needed to take down my review and the photo of the check, which (my bad) included bank info. Also for malicious online doxing stating that she would check tomorrow and if you have removed the entire post, including the offending doxing photo along with the snarky, partially untrue comments, I won't take further action.

I have removed the photo of the judgment check with the bank info (I am seriously sorry about that mistake), but I am keeping my review, which is simply states the facts of the matter verified and acted on by a court of law Please see photo of judgement letter on previous review. Jeez. What jerks.

Chris came to our home to provide us a quote for updating/replacing our outdoor lighting. Chris and the Austex office communicated with us extremely well. He was just here at lunchtime and I expect the quote soon. This was my second experience with Chris as he came out after we had a small leak in the irrigation system that Austex installed. Chris knew exactly how to fix it and showed me how to do it. It was very simple, but I did need guidance.

Used them after a pool install to repair the irrigation system and add additional zones. Professional, knowledgeable and efficient! Used them a second time after our fences were replaced with stone walls that had deep footer, they moved the heads closer to the wall and made changes to the other zones (not related to the pool repair visit) to improve coverage. They are easy to work with and have recommended them to several friends.

Our Hunter sprinkler system had been out of commission since a pipe and electrical connection were accidentally ruptured during a DIY fence repair (oops!), and since it looked like 2023 might be shaping up to be another hot one, we bit the bullet and called for professional repair services. I am here to report that Tony with Austex reported at the scheduled time -- actually, a few mins early -- and was extremely patient and courteous as I gave a little background on our irrigation situation. He took the time to listen to my previous troubleshooting attempts, seemed to really want to understand my concerns and hopes, and even took time, once he had started work in earnest, to answer any questions that I might have walked up with. In about 2 hours, Tony had performed the following repairs: 1) repaired/rerouted ruptured underground water pipe, 2) repaired a severed electrical connection, 3) performed electrical troubleshooting of an existing Hunter controller, 4) documented existing connections/zones, and removed/replaced bad Hunter controller, 5) tested out all previously working zones, 6) repaired a broken underground soaker hose on the street strip by the sidewalk, and finally 7) programmed the new controller with the correct date/time, and established a baseline watering program, in case I didn't want to go out there and mess with programming it myself (spoiler alert: I'm going to be messing with the programming anyways, since I like that stuff). All in all, my experience with Austex was a very pleasant surprise, and I will absolutely be calling on them again if I should need repairs or upgrades in the future. Thank you Tony and Austex, and to all the yelpers who helped me to find them.

Excellent company. Jack came out to give a complete system check and repair a dead zone. He found the buried valve, replaced it and suggested i replace 3 sprinkler heads to ensure coverage. He was very polite and courteous. The bill was way below what I thought it was going to be.

I scheduled a week and a half out before they could come but it as worth the wait plus Jack arrived almost exactly at his 1:30 pm scheduled appointment time.

despite the scheduling issue they did reach back out and continue to offer the best remedy possible given the situation.
In an effort to be understanding I can see they are trying, and in my opinion, that matters significantly. I have already found anther company to show up same day and fix the issue. But I believe Austex did the best they could given a rough situation.

I had a scheduled appointment for 9am on a Friday. I get a phone call at 930am stating they can no longer make the appointment today. But could reschedule in 2 weeks.....

I paid Austex $150 to check my sprinkler system coverage. A couple of weeks later I found that 4 or 5 heads were not coming up at all, causing dry spot on the lawn. They agreed to send another tech out a full week later (no urgency to correct the issue). The tech showed up almost an hour and half late with no call or message. I gave up after some time and had already left. No one from Austex called or followed up with me. I later asked for a refund but was refused by their management. After several emails they called and offered me something like $40 back. I would highly recommend trying someone else.

I wanted to replace my existing sprinkler controller with a Rachio smart controller but couldn't figure out how to remove the existing unit.

Austex was quick to reply with a reasonable quote so I scheduled an appointment out. The initial date was several weeks out, not ideal but understandable with the various issues going on in the world right now.

I received a call yesterday, letting me know they could squeeze me in due to a cancellation (a week and a half before my scheduled appointment). I said yes, and was very pleased with the service provided.

The tech they sent was super patient and helped with setting up zones in the Rachio app (which I've had some experience with previously, but it was super helpful as he let me know the exact sprinkler types to put into the app which I wouldn't have known otherwise).

Even if I had to wait another week it would have been worth the wait. Highly recommend.

I discovered a bad leak in my sprinkler system a few days before going on vacation. Unfortunately it's a busy time and no one had any appointments. Except for Austex. It was nice to get a person answering the phone, rather than voicemail (or one voicemail telling me to leave an email). The person who answered was helpful and scheduled me for the next day.

Luciano showed up and was marvelous. I had a leak from a few years ago when Google Fiber tore up the streets. I had had them come back twice to fix it, but apparently they didn't do a very good job gluing the PVC and it fell apart as if it wasn't glued. And I called Google Fiber later, they were very nice, but aren't responsible for leaks over a year old. Well at least I asked. I should have checked their work more carefully at the time, particularly since they had to come at least twice.

Luciano fixed it properly, then inspected my whole system (which I'm no longer going to assume is working again). He adjusted it properly, made a few minor changes to the timer (he knows more about this than I do) and did it all quickly and professionally. The price was fair too.

I'm certainly going to continue to use Austex.

My experience with Austex was fantastic. I reached out via Yelp and got a quote within an hour. The office called me to setup an appointment and the tech (Anthony) was prompt and professional.

When Anthony showed up I told him we needed to move 2 sprinkler heads about a foot each and repair a leak in the drip line. Anthony was courteous, answered all our questions and did the required work in a timely fashion. He even repaired another leak in the drip line that we were unaware of.

I liked my experience with this company so much that I have hired them again to add drip lines to 2 other zones

We've been in the house three years, but only had one zone of our sprinkler system functioning, so we needed a system check-up as a level set and an obvious repair for a pitchfork-inflicted leak.

Ian was super patient, efficient and got the whole of the system back online again.

Got a bit frisky again with the pitchfork, so...I may need another visit...parts for drip tubing are not easily available.

Okay - so this rating is simply for the responsiveness of the company. It turns out we're just too far out of their service area, which is sad because I was very interested in possibly working with them!

I reached out requesting to schedule someone for a quote to install a new sprinkler system in our yard. I was contacted by Phil, the owner, within a few hours asking for contact information so the office could call me, which I greatly appreciated.

When I spoke with the nice young lady on the phone, she let me know we were beyond their area, which was disappointing, as I mentioned. However, often when I ask for recommendations that would point me to a competitor, I'm finding more and more companies do not have anything to share. Not this one though. She was quick to provide me with the name of a company they partner with sometimes, and I was able to move forward on my quest to not have to manually water my sizeable back yard all summer long.

Thank you for being what every business should be: open, honest, and truly interested in meeting the needs of your customers, even when you cannot service them yourselves. I will always point people your way if I think you might be able to help!

I was extremely disappointed at the way this job was handled.
I was charged hundreds of dollars for a leak that was not fixed. Only after the fact were we informed that their company does not perform this scope of work because the leak was originating under the driveway.

The estimate process is there precisely to prevent this type of situation. If the initial estimator had done a proper inspection of the job site (and by the way, he KNEW that the mainline leak was from under the driveway because he was the one who saw the flood come up from the driveway cracks), he should have told us immediately that they weren't equipped to fix this type of leak. This would have been perfectly acceptable. We would have just moved on and picked a different company. But by providing an estimate and accepting the work, they made a commitment to fix the leak, and only afterwards informed us that it would be impossible for them. And had the audacity to try to charge us the full estimate amount for something that most certainly wasn't resolved.

By the way, another irrigation company came out to quote and gave us a perfectly acceptable option of rerouting the other zones on the opposite side of the driveway through another water line. If their techs were properly trained (the estimator pretty much admitted that he was new to the company), they should have offered this as an option and kept the job.

For such a highly rated company, this was truly a horrendous experience. I would stay away if you have any complicated sprinkler issues.

We had Austex Sprinklers put in a few french drains and haul a couple of yards of river rock out of our home in south Austin earlier this spring in April. After the initial installation there was a bit of miscommunication between myself and the company over purchased sod, and while there was some initial frustration, Phil and his team did a great job of responding and getting us the agreed upon materials.

After a month or so, we were having some flooding issues in the area in which they installed the initial system, ultimately Joseph and his team came out and in one day added two more drains and helped fix some issues with the initial installation. We've had two heavy downpours since and as of now have yet to have any other flooding problems.

While it took some time to get to a finished product, Phil and the rest of the team at Austex were great at resolving conflicts and providing a work product that I appreciate.

The situation would end up requiring a licensed plumber for my issue (replacing the PRV), but he gave great guidance on what would be needed for that service and what to expect. We had a big landscaping project and needed sprinklers and sod installed. I reached out to Austex for an estimate and Phil, the owner, came to our house to do the estimate the next day, and he got back to us quickly with a quote. I got a few quotes and Austex was the most competitive based on the amount of sprinkler zones included for the price.

Installation was scheduled pretty quickly and it only took a day to install, which blew my mind! There was a minor snafu with the sod installation, but Phil was quick to respond and his crew did a great job of fixing the error and meeting our expectations. He also sold us on the Rachio smart mobile app sprinkler system which we love because we can manage our sprinklers from our phones, which is super convenient!

I would definitely recommend working with Austex, great communication, fair pricing, great team, and very responsive. (photos to come soon when fence is finished!)

The technician arrived on time to assess the issue with the sprinkler head that we thought had broken. He spent a few minutes, cleared the head of built up muck and he no-charged us. What a treat and what professional service.

This visit was precipitated by realizing 1/3 of our landscape was lacking irrigation. We called the company for a fix. And by the way, when a client loves a company and trusts it, one says MY sprinkler company, and this company is ours. It took several visits to fix the problem, which was complicated by our having inadvertently placed a stone bench on top of some important links. Anthony is the person who finally figured it out and fixed the problem. After all the effort and three visits, we felt the charges were nominal. ALWAYS punctual, neat, and polite. Not for the digitally savvy. I asked them to come check out some drainage issues via Yelp messaging. They said to call to schedule an appointment. I asked if they could email me instead. It's been two weeks of going back and forth via email before they just started ignoring my messages. I'd get some days/times, respond with my preference and then be told that all those slots were full.

How's it's 2019 and these companies don't have digital appointment scheduling is beyond me....

Ok here we go... install and removal of portion of old system was good. No issues there. What you would expect and pay for. We were referred to Austex by a local business because we were having a lot of issues in our new construction home with standing water in low spots in the back yard and between houses, inconsistent landscape irrigation, and gutter water that added to the problem.

Our lead tech was Joseph, who did a fantastic job identifying the problem areas and making recommendations, which included installing a french drain system to carry away water from the low areas and gutter spouts. He showed us how our irrigation schedule was compounding our problems...too much water in some spots, not enough in others, water pouring into our neighbor's yard creating a muddy mess for them!

Now in just a few short weeks our lawn has shown remarkable recovery, the animals aren't tracking a mess onto the porch and house, and we're using water much more effectively.

We are very grateful to Austex Sprinklers and Joseph for all of their help, positive communication, and GREAT customer service.

Great professional company that not only does an excellent job on their service but stands by it. They are very communicative and have a great team. The owner, Phil, did our initial inspection quote for needed drainage. He was great to deal with and helpful. Tim managed our drainage install and him and his team were great. We had some adjustments to be made after the install saw some rain and they did an excellent job figuring out what was needed and giving us a quick turn around to get it taken care of. I'd highly recommend them if you need drainage services. I'll be hiring them again for more services in the future.

We had a bad experience with a different irrigation company last year giving us the runaround. We found Austex online, and from the moment we called we receive great customer service and booked a very reasonable appointment timeframe considering the season. The service rep, Tim, who showed up was so genuine and kind, and extremely knowledgeable about not only the drip system we have but also about planting and vegetation. He was obviously passionate about his job, and provided the best customer service my wife and I have received in a very long time. He took his time with our property and ensuring everything was in great shape. Josh is a true professional. He called me the day of service, and asked if he could come out SOONER than my appointment time!

He replaced my old Hunter Pro-C system with a brand-new Rachio Series 3 system with an outdoor enclosure. He then walked me through installing the Rachio app, setting up the zones, schedules, etc.

After 25+ years of home ownership across 3 different states, we FINALLY found a reliable, professional sprinkler repair company. Their technician, Josh, showed up early, then diagnosed and fixed our issues in just one hour. Seriously, before Josh showed up we thought our system would need to be replaced all together; he had everything completely fixed in a jiffy (at a very reasonable price) and assured us we were going to be just fine. Phew! (Thanks, Josh!)

I originally met with Phil at my house to discuss a sprinkler installation. I had a reasonable quote back within a couple of days. I agreed to the terms and work was scheduled a few weeks out.

Initially, everything started out okay. The crew worked from 7:30 to almost 9pm setting up 6 zones. Towards the end of the day, I went out to check on the crew and see if there were any updates.

I was told they had a few things remaining and would be back out the next morning. By this time, they had put in all zones and setup the controller - the only thing missing were a few sprinkler heads.

It was nighttime at this point and there was a thick layer of mud up and down the sidewalk, pizza boxes, receipts, spot flags littering the yard.

The next morning, one guy showed up around 9:30am. He told me his neighbor wanted him to come over and put in some sprinkler heads. He said the crew had another job and wouldn't be out. He walked around the yard and put in a few heads and then left.

I emailed Phil and asked if anyone was coming back. There was multiple holes uncovered in the backyard, the controller box had wiring exposed dangling from the garage, trash and tons of mud.. Not to mention, no one had mentioned anything about actually testing the system and making sure it worked.

Phil responded by email that he was sure the 'crew' was out buying supplies at the store and would be back shortly. This 'crew' of one did return an hour later, and was just as confused as I was about how everything was setup and why no one bothered to test or cleanup after themselves.

I can't remember his name, but he did a good job of at least finishing the controller box connections, setting up the zones and helping me test. We found multiple sprinkler heads missing still and he marked it down. He mentioned one the Austex leads would be out later that evening to do a final run thru - he should have the sprinkler heads to put in.

Later that evening this person came and did a walkthrough. He put in the missing sprinkler heads and checked out the control box setup. He adjusted the sprinklers and we made sure everything was working.

I mentioned my frustration about the exposed wiring, uncovered holes in the backyard and the trash and he kind of gaffed it off.

He asked multiple times if everything was working as I expected. I mentioned, yes the system is working - but there was no cleanup and really not very good communication.

He apologized and said he needed to run to another customer. Frustrated I made the final payment and went on my way cleaning up and filling holes.

For a $4k sprinkler installation, the least you all could do is communicate more effectively and clean up after yourselves.

Ok, take this review with a grain of salt . I never dealt with Austex Sprinklers.
But... I might have. Pretty good job, a couple of acres. I called three times, three days - no response.

I think that is kind of lame. What happens when I have a problem.

But hey - give them a call, you may get lucky.

Called to have some some sprinkler heads repositioned. Josh called and was able came out to my home earlier than appt time. Josh was able to cap one head and move another in a very short time. I asked if he could also do a maintenance look at the system while he was there and he was able to knock that out too even though I hadn't asked for that in my original call.

I had a very disappointing experience!

After reading all the stellar reviews, I decided to schedule an inspection with them to get my sprinkler issues fixed and was given a 2 week lead time. I decided to go ahead and schedule the appointment over the phone- I also received an email about the appointment. However the day of the appointment, I called to get an ETA on what time the technician would be coming out and was told that I was not in the system (inspite of the email about the appointment getting sent to me previously). The lady on the phone then told me it would be another 2 weeks(!!) before someone could come out. I was'nt prepared for this and ended up scheduling an appointment with another vendor who was much more responsive and professional.

Bottom line- this has soured my experience with Austex and they have lost a potential customer.

Field Tech Anthony Figeuredo with AusTex Sprinklers did an awesome job for us today. My master valve was spraying water into the air this morning. I sent Mr. Thompson an Email asking for an emergency repair. His staff called almost immediately and confirmed an appointment for 4:30 PM. Anthony arrived two hours early, quickly diagnosed the problem and quickly repaired the master valve. This is not the first time Anthony Figeuredo has saved our bacon. He is always super friendly and helpful. THANK YOU!

0 stars for workmanship and threat to void warranty that I paid for: We saved up for years and just spent over $7000 (paid in full) to have Austex Sprinklers install a system on our small lot and install sod in Dec. 2019. Not only did they not pull a variance from the City (for watering to establish the sod), but they programmed the system against the City's allowances - Resulting in an $800 water bill (from the previous $30 I was used to paying). The ground was not properly prepared for the sod. We met with the City water auditor on site and they made Austex Sprinklers program it to City standards and during the City water hearing I attended, they noted their programming error again. The sod was placed and had divots of 1 and 1/2 in causing us to trip multiple times. When we asked them to roll it, they said they did, even though we never saw them do it and were here at all times. I had another company come in and correct the issues. They charged a lot of money but they brought in a lot of soil to fill all of the divots Austex should have done - plus this other company rolled it. The compay noted serious issues with Austex's work - in the receipt for the corrective work. Phil and Austex Sprinklers threatened to void the warranty if I disclosed the programming and variance issue plus poor workmanship. They also billed me for 2 meetings to try to resolve this issue. These issues should be covered by the warranty I paid for - and should have been resolved by them but were not. They are threatening to sue me for disclosing our situation and providing receipts to correct their errors.

We have been in our house for around 10 years and we needed to update backyard after our son was born. We chose Austex based on reviews and friends. We hav been incredibly happy for many many years. It was last year I realized that we have never done the annual system review and so I called last year to have them come out for a review and to make some adjustments. Anthony came out, courteous and wonderful. He dialed our system in completely and was patient in answering all my questions. I called again this year and once again Anthony came and was wonderful. He was very patient again with my needs and concerns. He was very patient as I am still learning how to program my system to be more efficient. I do have to say that he is one of the reasons I am so happy to be an Austex customer. Service and commitment from your employees shows me that it is a very well run company. Thanks and I will look forward to next year when I can call and have Anthony come back out for a review of my system. He is AWESOME!

I contacted them after the rain we recently had.
Water has been collecting of our sloped driveway for some time now. This recent rain finally prompted me to finally do something about it.

I contacted Austex based on their tremendous positive reviews. I have to say now, I know why they all 5 stars, they deserve it!

Contacted them through Yelp. They reached me back the next day by email and phone. Two other companies I contacted took longer.

They were able to have someone come out the same week.

Josh came out, on time at 8am, actually early by 10 minutes to look at our service needs. He instantly made us comfortable with his kind demeanor and expertise.

They sent us a quote two days later. Offered us a work discount which helped us confirm the project through them.

Scheduling the project was easy. Was able to get it going the following week.

Josh and Anthony did a GREAT job installing a drain and routing pipe to defer water away from the driveway. They took meticulous care to make it look clean, seamless and like they were never there. Awesome!

Josh called me the next day to make sure I was pleased with the work and install. I gave him the high praise he deserved and told him I would recommend them to anyone who could use their services!

There's a reason most people rate this company 5 stars: because they deserve it.

Anthony came out to my house and was a polite, knowledgeable young man. He listened as I told him the numerous problems I was having with my system. Together, we ran the different zones and discussed the problem spots.

Some of the fixes were easy, like leaky sprayers and a broken irrigation pipe.

Some of the fixes were more complex. Before I owned the house, a previous sprinkler company had put sprinkler heads and pipe junctions at the bases of two trees. As the trees grew, they grew over the sprinkler heads and broke them. Who would have seen that coming?

Anthony brainstormed fixes for both problems, and was able to get my system up in better working order than it ever had been.

And, the price was better than I expected.

If I have any problems with my sprinkler system, I will definitely call Austex.

If you are considering this company in part due to high Yelp reviews, you should know that one way they get them is to offer good faith discounts for positive reviews.

I hired Austex because I had several zones that were experiencing low pressure. The technician came out while I was at work and fixed the issue for a $200 valve replacement. When I came home I realized only one zone had been remedied, and there were still two additional zones that had not been fixed. Cost to finish the job: $200 more. Why the tech did not test ALL the zones the first time is beyond me. I was offered no discount or regrets that the job was not done properly to begin with. Had I known the total cost upfront I might have made a different decision.

The system works better than it did before, so two stars. And I should have insisted on knowing the cost before agreeing to the work. However...

The most insulting part was the offer to reduce the price (no doubt from some arbitrarily inflated rate) in exchange for a positive Yelp review. Shady.

I called Austex on a Monday and I quickly got on their schedule for a Wednesday service. The team member they sent was Anthony Figeuredo. Super professional from the start. He kept me in the loop throughout the process of conducting a wellness check on the sprinkler system and explained some of the issues that our setup was having. He replaced some nozzles, replaced a fried part on our control panel and was sweet enough to reset it to our watering days (which i am loathe to do!). Great job, highly recommend Austex Sprinklers.

The crew (Josh, Johnathan, Jose, and Jeremy) were very professional and did a great job installing our system and treating our lawn/flowerbeds with care. It's very rare for me to hire a contractor. (only twice ever!)
I have been thinking of installing irrigation for several years, but I just never actually did it.
I called Austex, and they installed a complete system for a very reasonable price. I am a DIY enthusiast, and I like to be involved. They didn't seem to mind at all!
They were very responsive while scheduling each of the appointments.
Most importantly, I am very thankful for the luxury of a 3 year warranty on parts and labor. That's definitely NOT something that's included with a do-it-yourself installation ;)

I have to give Austex 1 star for a few reasons. First, their person who came out to gave me a quote was not very knowledgeable. I asked a question about underground drip line as opposed to above ground sprinklers. She said that she didn't recommend it because of some problems they've hard from other clients. I asked what kinds of problems and she didn't know. She said she had heard of problems with that kind of system even though her quote to me was to include underground drip lines as part of the install.

I was also promised a quote within 48 hours that never came. Please don't waste my time spending 20-30 minutes giving me the sales pitch only to never send me a quote. What's worse is when I called to Austex to give them the opportunity to fix their customer service issues they failed again. The sales person didn't have a supervisor but the business manager promised to give my contact information to the owner to have them call me with a day or two. This of course never happened.

Austex lost the opportunity for my business because their sales staff wasn't knowledgeable, never sent me a quote and their management does not prioritize customer service. I cannot reccommend Austex.

Last May I contacted Austex Sprinklers to do a review of my irrigation system. A technician came exactly as scheduled and did the evaluation on my 17 year old system. He promised he would get back with a report/estimate for repairs/adjustments. Once reviewed, I awarded the project as recommended.
Anthony was the technician who came to solve all issues. He worked diligently in severe heat and was very respectful and also listened to my concerns. He had to add a new control panel, make many repairs/adjustments to all zones. Before he left, he tested the system and set the new panel to automate. A few days later, the system however did not automate. I called to report the failure and Anthony returned for more troubleshooting. He added another control panel, reset it and left. But alas, still problems. So Anthony returned again and kept up the problem solving. Third time was a charm! I have to commend both Anthony and Austex for their continued service and perseverance to make my system fully operational. Prompt, promises kept, and respectful!

Another home project win! It can be hard to get contractors to even call back in we have enough work, and don't need yours thank you, Austin Tx, much less make a bId and then schedule the work. Austex gets 10 stars. Quick callback, got an estimator out in reasonable time , got a crew out 0715 on the day promised and in a few hours work is done and inspected. Shout out to the actual crew who cut a 12 foot trench through solid rock with a 20 pound sledgehammer by hand. Respect.

These guys are amazing!! From estimate to completed project. Like many others of you I'm sure...I got quite a few quotes. They were the best bang for your buck! Phil and his assistant always answered emails and phone calls promptly! The field guys that worked my project were Luisiano and Ramon (I apologize if I spelled their names wrong) However, Luisiano helped me program the system, walked the property with me and showed me where all the valves, etc. were. Besides the standard installation markings on the grass you wouldnt know a sprinkler system was put in! They left no trash behind! Overall extremely satisfied. Thank you!

I had a lot of scheduling problems with Austex but otherwise the technician I worked with was good. When I initially called, the first appt they had was 3 weeks out. I had several valves in my yard that were completely buried, one of which was broke so no water to that zone. Logan found and repaired the broken valve in less than 30 minutes. He also tested each zone and found a broken sprinkler head that I was not aware of. He replaced the broken head but when I got home later that day, I realized actually the nipple was broke too so I had to dig it back up myself and fix it because the soonest Logan could return was again 3 weeks away.

Before Logan left, I did make a follow up appointment to find another buried valve and install a new sprinkler head. Again the soonest he had available was 3 weeks out. When I called to confirm the followup appointment 2 weeks later, the office had no record of it. I reschedule again for 1.5 weeks and they called to cancel that the day of. I rescheduled again but there was a miscommunication about the time... Long story short lot of scheduling issues. Seems like whoever does scheduling doesn't carve out enough time for each appt, travel, & paperwork so they often run behind.

Austex Sprinklers installed our irrigation system a year ago, and we needed some routine maintenance and revised spray patterns for our yard. Logan was very prompt, arrived on time, quickly understood what we needed, inspected the entire system, identified and fixed some minor issues (including a drip hose break he discovered) and swapped out a couple of sprinkler heads to improve spray pattern coverage. Logan was friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

Alex, who designed the system originally, also came out to inspect the gutters, and those were promptly repaired by his crew the next day. We called him out because a tree had fallen on our house, hitting the gutters directly, and they withstood it. All his crew needed to do was replace some of the wire mesh screens that had been bent and knocked out of their proper position by the falling tree.

About 5 years ago, Austex came out and repaired our sprinklers. This week, I had Joseph Saucedo from Austex come out to repair two vales and do a system check. It was money well spent. He found a leak, repaired 10 sprinkler heads and fixed the two valves. The work was really good, their scheduler for the appointment was easy to work with, and the bill was easy to pay online. Joseph did great work with a fantastic attitude. As like 5 years ago, way to go Austex!

We could not be more pleased with the visit we had from Alex. When we called to schedule, there had just happened to be a cancellation so we were able to get an appointment very quickly. We've just moved into our first home & it has extensive landscaping. There were issues with many of the sprinkler heads & spray patterns. Alex showed up on-time and was both incredibly professional and knowledgable. He took the time to walk me through the work he'd done to make sure I was comfortable with everything before leaving. To top it all off, it was over 100 degrees outside & no complaints from Alex!

We've had 2 neighbors already ask us for his contact- they had apparently stopped by while he was working & they too were very impressed! Thank you Alex - you've won our business... and now the neighborhood's as well!

After Google came through and laid their new Fiber internet, we were left with a dead zone. I suspected that it might have to do with the fact that they parked their machinery directly adjacent to the sprinkler head.

Since Google then agreed to pay for the damage, I consulted Yelp for a reputable sprinkler company. To be honest, I didn't even consider any others. Nearly 100 reviews with an average of 4.8 was good enough for me.

The scheduling process was very simple.

We had the pleasure of dealing with Logan. He came out in the pouring rain to diagnose the issues. He setup his equipment and dug trenches to try and locate the issue. Along the way, he kept me apprised on his work and the costs associated. By the end of the second hour, he was unable to zero-in on the problem. By this time, the rain (and mud) had worsened and he requested that we reschedule.

Logan came back this morning and quickly went to work. He was going to be 15 minutes early so he called to check if this was okay (nice touch). About 30 minutes in, he had identified the problem. It was raining again today, but not as bad. He showed me the crushed pipe, directly where I had seen the machinery parked. We agreed on the price and he went to work. It took about 30 minutes to repair.

All in all, the problem is fixed and area was left how he found it. Logan was very polite and conscientious throughout the two appointments. He is a very capable technician and is willing to spend extra time to get the job done properly.

I honestly don't have anything bad to say about the entire transaction. I would highly recommend Logan and the folks at Austex Sprinklers.

Robert came out to replace our clock that was fried in a thunderstorm. He conducted an efficient survey of my sprinkler system, describing the different types of heads throughout my yard, suggested settings, and made adjustments as needed. As others indicated, Robert was personable, professional and quite informative. He made sure he tested all sprinkler heads for optimal performance prior to leaving. The price was well worth the work done and I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

We are new to Austin and purchased a home with a sprinkler system which needed some repairs. I also needed to understand how it all worked since I have not used a sprinkler system before. Making an appointment was super easy. Anthony was my technician and was early and called to see if that was ok. I contacted Austex based on their Yelp reviews and I was not disappointed. My technician Alex was pleasant and helpful in explaining the areas that needed fixing.
The charge was $245 for standard inspection, 1 valve replaced, 2 flushed nozzles and spray pattern adjustment. Not inexpensive for the time spent, IMO, but I will use them again in the future.

Something is going on at Austex Sprinklers, and in a good way.

Terrific customer service, something all too rare it seems these days. From the initial contact all the way through the service, Austex hit the mark consistently.

Alex was friendly and efficient in his work. I showed him my problem (water supply line leak) and he patiently explained everything that was going on, and commended me for realizing that this was a complex problem that regular homeowners can often make worse by trying to repair themselves.

He worked quickly and effectively, and within an hour had not only repaired the leak, but done an inspection of the entire system and pronounced it healthy.

I'm so happy when I get great service, especially for work I can't/shouldn't do myself. Austex Sprinklers ranks up there with the best customer service I've had for folks coming to fix stuff at the house. I'm a customer for life now.

I could not be happier with the fix completed by Austex Sprinklers. A previous company had come in, looked around a bit, offered a few suggestions, charged me and left. Austex showed up, worked until they had diagnosed/fixed the issue and insured it was working before they left. In fixing the original issue they managed to improve water pressure on all the other zones of my sprinkler system. Additionally they instructed me on how to adjust the sprinkler heads. All-around a professional and friendly visit.

Robert came out today and repaired many busted sprinkler heads, a couple of busted underground pipes and reprogrammed the Hunter box in the garage. He was fast, explained everything he did thoroughly, explained how to program the box and was a delight to work with.

Austex dominates the irrigation competition in the Austin area!! Two words CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

I have used them twice now: first for a new residential install and second to move the mainline and lateral lines for a patio extension. On the install I dealt with Alex who was more than thorough with explaining my options and eventually the operation of the system. When I had to get the mainline moved I dealt with the other Alex and again customer service shined.

After the mainline move Alex was doing an inspection at my neighbors house a few days later and stopped by to check on the completed patio install and made a few adjustments to the heads. Thats what you call top notch service.

I contacted Austex Sprinklers to schedule a Service Call after I returned home from a three week trip oversees to find a $700 water bill! Usually averaging a $100/month and having had the water turned off in our home, I knew the issue was somehow connected to our Irrigation system. Therefore, I had to find a reputable Irrigation Expert ASAP.

Austex promptly responded to my inquiry and we scheduled the first available appointment within a few days.

Upon arrival, the Irrigation System Control Panel was pinpointed as the cause of the issue. The Factory Setting caused the system to run several times at night, so the panel was reprogrammed.

In addition, Our Tech performed a full service inspection, replaced a defective sprinkler head and performed Seasonal maintenance.

Austex Sprinklers was prompt, thorough, and walked me through the service they performed.

In addition, I am thrilled to find a service provider whose territory extends to the North Shore of Lake Travis. Nine 9 times out of Ten, service companies won't service our area and those that do sometimes don't have the highest standards. Austex Sprinklers has both, so thanks to them. Thoroughly satisfied with our experience!

Anthony, the technician that came out was courteous, efficient and did a beautiful job of fixing my issues. I could tell that this was not his first rodeo after just a few minutes of talking to him. The building boom here in Austin has brought an influx of fly by night shysters. I just went through a 2 year remodel. I hired more than one. Lesson learned. Check the yelp reviews and only hire companies (people) with multiple yelp reviews and high ratings and you will be able to hire professional and reliable companies like Austex Sprinklers.

Just had Anthony out to repair a sprinkler system I hadn't used in a couple of years. I must say he was one of the most polite young men I have met in a long time. It was Yes Ma'am and No Ma'am every time. That means a lot to my generation. He got my system running, changed out a couple heads (at my request), set the run schedule, and explained everything. The price was very reasonable. I can certainly see why they have a 5 star Yelp rating. I will definitely recommend to anyone who asks and call them again if needed. Thank you Anthony.

I wish there was another star to add. We had a leak and a few issues that needed to be corrected from a landscaper that didn't exactly do the best sprinkler work. I called Austex after having used them last summer in the hopes they could get out and cure my system's ailments. At first, I was a bit put off by the amount of time it took to get an appointment, but I know it's a busy time of year so I went ahead and booked for 9 days out.

The day of my appointment, Logan gave me a call and said he was running late because of another appointment that was much worse off than they were told. He told me he'd be late and asked if it would still work out. Fortunately, I was able to hang around and waited for him to arrive. Man, am I glad I did.

After going over my issues, I had to go back to work, but Logan said he was all good and would finish up and let me know if there were any other issues. He called me later in the afternoon to tell me he had to go to another job, and he needed to pick up a part for my job. He told me he would return later that evening and complete the work he had begun. At t 8:15 PM Logan called and said he was still working at another job and would have to come back to finish up my work the next morning. Saturday morning, on his day off, Logan showed up and completed the work. I mentioned a few other concerns I had that we hadn't gone over the day before and he fixed the issues at no charge to make up for not finishing in day 1.

I've used Austex twice now in the last 9 months and I'll never call another place. Both technicians that have come out to my house have been fantastic!

Just had Austex Sprinklers re-visit an install to determine if dead grass was a coverage issue or something else. Communication was first-rate: emails to schedule the service, phone call 1/2 hour out from the appointment, and Justin even showed up early to get things going before the heat of the day. Turns out our problem was/is brown patch and while the coverage may have contributed to it, it's more complicated to remedy than just adjusting sprinkler heads. I got some great advice, along with the sprinkler adjustment, and feel as good as always to recommend Austex to everyone. Service is a key facet of any install, and so far the service has been top-notch.

I had a few things needed done. I needed one pipe capped off after one of the dogs got a hold of it. Also had installed a Rain Machine myself but apparently got a few wires overlapped. The Tech came out, was on time. Fixed all of my small issues and then got the Unit back up and running. I can now see and set anything from my phone for my sprinklers. Austex Thanks!

This is my 3rd year using Austex and as always, they come through in spades! I scheduled an annual sprinkle systems check up for my personal and rental property. Robert was the technician that performed the work. He was personable, professional, patient, and all around pleasure to work with. He completed the work, gave me a crash course in sprinkler settings, schedule, and maintenance.

I called for an estimate appointment about 3 weeks ago. The appointment was confirmed to be on 2pm last Monday. I asked for half day off work and came back home waiting for the guy. About 30 minutes after our appointment time, the guy still did not come. So I called them and I was told the guy went to a funeral. I got no notice from them about that! Can you believe that! It is not over yet. I was asked to take some photos of my yard and send them to their email. I did that on the same day and I was told they would give me the estimate by the next day. Now it has been 5 business days and I still haven't received their estimate yet.

I choose Austex because of the good reviews they have here. But now, I am wondering why there are so many 5 star reviews about this company.

So I called to places around 8am of which Alex was one that answered the phone. I told him my problem I had a pipe crack while my husband was working on the yard with the Tillar. I told him had to shut down the main valve for the house then he told me I didn't have to do that I could just shut down the valve for the sprinklers so I could turn the water back on to my home. I was at work and said I was not home and asked where I lived since it was so close to him business he said he would go over and shut it off for me. Mind you this was before we agreed on service etc. THAT IS FIRST CLASS SERVICE RIGHT THERE, ROLL OUT THE RED CARPET! All these yelpers got it right, and I am so glad so far so good.

So he calls me back tells me he shut out my valve, and said now I would be ok until he could come back and service which wouldn't be till monday. I advised my concern due to my fruit trees etc if that was the soonest he could be out and he offered same day. I was like heck yeah, this man is wowing me with his awesome service. I asked for a worst and best case senario pricing, but told me he would know for sure until after he troubleshoots which is understandable.

BTW This is great service reminds me of california, hungry business onwer knowing he wants to earn your business, having a sense of urgency is hard to find here in Texas. I hate the other places or texas typocal service of when I called they feel bothered by my call rather than happy it was potential business knocking on the door. Just the attidute I get at times ugh! I know you need me and I get to you when I have time for you! This is not the service from Alex you get the luxury celeberity treatment and that is AWSOME!

I usually try to find some reason to give a legitimate business more than one star, but not in this case, given the nonsense I was subjected to.

Had this company come out to my house for a so-called tune up about six weeks ago. The guy showed up three hours early and insinuated that I had the appointment time wrong (doubtful). More importantly, the guy didn't seem to know what he was doing. I had to point out a couple of (to me) obvious coverage problems. (He did manage to correct those.)

He told me we had a broken pipe that needed replacing. $50 for that, if I recall. I assented. I didn't watch him do that part of the job. As I was writing the check afterward I asked him to show me the broken pipe. The guy fumbled around in his truck and said he couldn't find it. (!) It was pretty clear to me that there was no broken pipe. Either this guy was an aspiring con artist, or severely, incredibly lacking in communication skills.

I called the company the next day and spoke to the owner (I forget his name.), relating the experience. He seemed genuinely surprised. He said he would look into the matter and give me a partial refund. Well, it turns out that no refund was forthcoming. (I just found out today that my check for $185 cleared, reminding me of the whole affair. Nothing received in the way of a refund.)

Overall, a most unpleasant, unsatisfactory transaction.

We have used Austex in the past for fixing some sprinkler issues and they were great. This review is about an outdoor lighting project they did for us recently.

We have a 15 year old outdoor low voltage lighting system that has over 50 lights consisting of up lights, path lights and fountain lights etc. The system was completely out and no lights were working. We got multiple bids to fix it from some of the highly rated outdoor lighting companies on yelp. We were told by all the others that to fix the system would cost the same as installing a new system and all their bids were for new installations.

Austex came up with a bid to fix the system and their bid utilized our existing system and included trouble shooting and fixing/replacing the broken components which was exactly what we were looking for. It was a very comprehensive bid for a very reasonable cost. The quote process, setting appointment times, actual appointments, all were all handled in an extremely professional manner. Because of the freezing rain we had recently they had to reschedule once and we were notified by both email and telephone call. Josh was our main technician and he did an excellent job. For one stretch, he had to run new wiring through our lawn to install 5 path lights and did such a good job that the grass looks totally undisturbed. We are very pleased with the end results and highly recommend Austex Sprinklers for your outdoor lighting needs.

Just had our Sprinklers installed last week. Great work and crew. Alex did my initial consultation and he was very informative and professional. That alone had me sold. Installation does happen on day one and then adjustments that cater your lawn happen within the next two days. 3 year warranty and a very reasonable price.

I drove a metal stake through one of my sprinkler supply lines. After botching the repair myself, I called Austex. Trevor arrived on-time and repaired the line in a quarter of the time it took me to do it. He also spent time educating me on my system, including the nuances of my control panel, even though I thought I knew everything about it already. He was great - I definitely got my money's worth. Called these guys - they were professional over the phone said something I have never heard - if for at anytime you do not feel you are getting five star service please let us know. Gilbert came out - this guy is very knowledgeable and loves his job. My wife met him and said he was very nice. He even called me at 6:30 to see if I had time to check on the work he had done and to see if I had indeed recieved 5 star service. Upon inspection there was a head that was not functioning properly. He said he will be out the next day to fix it. He was, he did not charge me an extra fee to come out and fix the sprinkler head.

These guys do what they say they are going to do. I received good advice, from great people for a fair price.

Needless to say I am very happy and will recommend them to everyone!

We hired Austex to help us with our drainage issues. The first time around the work was done well, but needed some tweaking a month later (we needed to see the drainage system in action after a heavy rain). Within a few days of contacting Phil, he sent Luciano and Joseph back to my home to fix the issues. They were polite, explained thoroughly what they did, and left my property in better shape than it was before they arrived. When we have the resources for a sprinkler system they will be the first company I will call for a quote. Thanks guys!

I have a flooding situation in my yard. Austex to the rescue.

1. They showed up on time!
2. This is a multi-step plan and step 1 was finished on schedule and better than I had imagined.
3. All of my questions were answered fully and clearly.
4. They put in a drain and a dry creek bed - It's beautiful.

Alex and Robert came out in freezing weather to handle the trenching, drain and rock work. They couldn't have been nicer and I love the look of it. They also did extra work to make sure I could get my car in and out of the garage.
I am really happy with the project.

I think i found my sprinkler guy. His name is Trevor and he works for Austex :-) Explained what he was going to do and did his thing ( cut roots , installed new sprinkler heads , adjusted heads, replaced heads, changed the timer to be twice in a day instead of just once on the weekly watering schedule so that there is run on water on a slope etc etc ). Very customer centric view. Highly recommend Trevor.

Alex from Austex Sprinklers has earned a customer for life. I appreciate the way he works -- upfront, honest, and reliable. Some people were just born with awesome customer service skills, and Alex is one of them.

I came home one evening to a massive water leak in my front yard. (Long story short: It ended up being a broken double-check valve caused by a tree root.) I really appreciate that Alex takes the time to give me a call when he's on his way or if he's ever running late. He initially dropped by to give me an estimate and even got his hands dirty to accurately pinpoint the issue. (He was spot on with his assessment, btw. Also, his estimate was accurate as well. No surprises.)

The only thing that surprised me is that Alex charged me $0 for the estimate and partial dig. I was floored. Some companies charge $40+ just for a visit and estimate. As soon as he left, I told myself that Alex is my guy. Today, when he dropped by to replace my double-check valve, I almost felt like we were old friends. He could tell I was curious about the work, and he took the time to explain what he was doing.

The world needs more honest, hard-working guys like Alex. Austex Sprinklers comes with my highest recommendation. Alex is now my go-to guy for anything sprinkler, irrigation, or outdoor water leak related. (Thank you Yelpers for the recommendation!)

I had to have a service call for my sprinkler system this week. It was still under warranty and a valve for one of the stations went bad. Austex was very prompt in sending someone out to look at it, We live way out in Bastrop and sometimes the companies from Austin take their time in servicing their stuff. But not Austex; they came out right away and took care of the issue. Their technician Anthony was excellent to deal with. He was very polite and explained things. Anthony has great customer service skills and I appreciate that.

I really like this company and I am very picky! Anthony has come out three times. Every time I have been very impressed. Very professional, respectful, knowledgable and well dressed. The main office is very organized with appointments. This probably isn't the cheapest route but seriously, you get what you pay for. They do have fair pricing. I will continue to use their services. Highly recommend. Don't let the estimates scare you. You pay by the hour and they prorate.

We had a scheduling issue, but they were still able to get someone out the same day and they discounted our service without us even asking. Nice.

The repair guy, Logan, was really friendly and helpful. We had several issues, and they sent the same guy out each time, which is a good policy. He fixed everything quickly and seemed to really know his stuff.

The pricing seems similar to less professional places we've used. They charge by the job rather than by the hour, though, which I'm not a huge fan of. Overall, though, they seem like a stand up service.

I called Austex Sprinklers for a follow up to the job they did for me in July thinking that it would be a warranty job. Well Robert came out and made adjustments to my system, adjusted heads in various zones to ensure there was max coverage in areas my wife had concerns about, set up my controller for the correct watering times in each zone and performed an overall check of sprinkler heads in all zones. I recently moved into a new home and wanted a second opinion on my irrigation system. My water bill had been increasing every month and everyone told me my irrigation was fine. Frank came out and found three broken sprinkler heads, my system was set up to run twice in one day and my water was turned up to the max for my trees. He was great. Austin and specifically Josh did a great job! I hadn't really inspected my sprinkler system for quite a while. so called Austex to come out and do complete inspection of system. Josh was great. He got here as scheduled, looked at every station, adjusted numerous sprinkler heads and replaced various heads broken or not covering certain areas. Austex is a great company to work with. I just had Alex come out to fix a couple issues with my irrigation system. Price was both reasonable and discussed before any work was performed. He showed up on time, with a reminder call prior to the appointment. Everything was done efficiently and with alacrity. A+

I tagged along Alex as he worked, and he was very helpful in explaining what he was doing and why he was doing it. I had a ton of questions, it was great being able to learn so much while the work was being done.

We were extremely displeased with our experience with Austex. They were more in the pricey side so we were hoping that we would be getting a high-quality service. Although the sprinklers themselves work well, the sprinklers did not work when they completed the work and they had to come back out days later to get it working. The location of the sprinkler valves were all around the yard including one right in the middle of the yard, as well as one next to the driveway and in areas that are high traffic areas. Three of the trees in our backyard did not get any water at all. When we tried to get some of these valves moved we had a tremendous amount of challenge connecting and coordinating with the company. They wanted us to pay the full amount before completing the work. They also destroyed out front garden bed and left it with part of the partition missing! They would not repair it at all. I would research other companies instead of Austex.

I cannot tell you how fantastic their service is!! Alex is polite, prompt, and respectful! Not only was everything done but he identified potential problems and fixed them for very little extra.

We had a second issue later one (dog dug up and chewed leads that were just repaired) and Alex took time out to come out and fix it right away. My husband is deployed and they gave us a discount that they did not have to do. I cannot rave enough about their service and professionalism!!

Hired a local landscaping company to re-do my backyard. In the process they busted a line on the sprinkler system and did a few other things to the system I wasn't quite sure how to fix. Gave Austex a call and Logan came out and diagnosed the system and corrected the issue.

The new landscaping also required less sprinkler heads and I wanted those capped. Logan provided a quote and completed the work today. Very pleased.

Do not use this company if you want responsive and quality service. We originally requested our system to be repaired and they sent someone out a few days later - who was really late vs quoted time. Then they said they would have someone contact us regarding making repairs - we ended up having to follow-up with them. After two day of reschedules they finally showed up and ended up not repairing all the sprinklers that were flagged. Now we have a leaked control box and when asked to come fix it they quoted six weeks to get out. Highly suggest you look elsewhere as we already have.

Just want to say this is first time I have used Austex and I am very impressed. I called and scheduled an appointment. As promised, they called the day of the appointment to let me know exactly what time they would be here. Gilbert actually showed up earlier than our original scheduled time which worked out great for me. He identified all the problems (and there were quite a few) and fixed nearly everything while he was here. Although he did not have some large sprinkler heads that we needed to fix, he identified and flagged those so my partner could fix later.

Besides identifying and fixing everything, Gilbert could not have been more pleasant and professional with his service. I would definitely use Austex again.

Austex Sprinklers is a great company to work on any sprinkler problem. I generally try and fix things myself but I was not going to dig up my front yard and try and fix a soaker hose issue. Logan was great - he had it all figured out with in minutes and fixed with no issues and he even gave me some tips on watering the grass and using some features on my system. Totally worth it to have these guys fix your issues and it comes with a warranty!!

He even programmed and my system and check the water pressure. Very nice and professional. The only reason I did not give a 5 stars is price $265 seemed a little high. But again overall a good experience I'd recommend them and use them again.

I had an appointment set for 10 am and Robert pulled into the drive at 10 am. Very refreshing and a great way to show my business and time is important. Robert did a great job in fixing a zone that had gone dead. The issue was with substandard craftsmanship from a previous, different supplier. Bottom line: These guys are the real deal. We have a new house and we have been having a difficult time with warranty repairs and such. I asked Austex to come out and just give us a second opinion about what is going on. They sent me a very experienced and knowledgable person to review our system. They were able to answer all our questions, check the whole system, set up the system correctly, ( the first time that has happened in a year with our builder) and let us know where we have red flags that the builder needs to fix. It was worth paying a small fee to be educated on how to use our system and to know why we are having troubles. I am so happy I gave them a call. And you can guarantee we will be calling them again if our builder continues to fall through with warranty repairs. Thank you, Alex!! You were much appreciated.

Instantly our heroes. We'd received a bid from another company that wanted to replace all the sprinkler heads for over $2000. I called Austex for a second opinion. Phil and Tyler arrived and immediately determined that the heads did not need to be replaced. Whew! Next Phil determined that a wire was redundant to a rotor and fixed that (saving us thousands of gallons of water), fixed the errant 4 sprinkler heads. He also found a couple of leaks. So Austex (ala Phil) has demonstrated both competency and proficiency in irrigation systems maintenance and repair. He reprogrammed our clock to save us hundreds of dollars of water usage, and saved Texas some precious water. Austex is terrific and we're thrilled to have found them. That's a big 5 Texas Star rating and much appreciation.

We just moved into a new house, and we wanted to make sure that our irrigation system was up to spec--especially after noticing a patch of damp earth consistently near one of the control valves. Logan from Austex was incredibly helpful in pointing out all of the components of the house's irrigation system, and he most importantly quickly identified and fixed the problem. He even helped offer suggestions for one of our landscaping projects that would've required working with our sprinkler system as well. We called AUSTEX out to fix some existing sprinkler issues based on the stellar Yelp reviews. What we received was one of the best technicians we have had come out to our house in Logan. Throughout the process Logan filled us in on various options we had that were different than what we thought we needed. In a few cases these suggestions saved us money and improved our setup. We ended up calling AUSTEX again and had Logan install a new zone where we added grass. I highly recommend AUSTEX and Logan.

This review has been long due.

I have an investment property is Austin, TX. Needless to say it is recommended to have sprinklers installed instead of relying on tenants to water the lawn.

I live out of state and resesrched a lot online, friends and colleagues for good companies. Almost all of them recommended Austex. So I got in touch with Alex, the owner, to get a quote and possible installation dates. Alex was quite accomodative for dates and worked with me to give his best quote. I have to say that it was a little on higher side but looking at the reviews and recommendations I decided to go ahead. I think one should not compromise quality and service for couple hundred dollars when you are spending $3000+ on a big ticket item. Not worth the hassle.

So we got it installed around first week on July. Alex's men came for installation and wrapped up everything in 5-6 hours. The system worked great that day and I flew out of state. But my neighbor reported that the system didnt turn on on scheduled/programmed watering day. Initially I thought it to be mistake on my neighbor's end as she may not realised it is working as I had programmed it to turn on very early morning.

3 weeks after installstion, I happened to be back in Austin and found that system is not working. The lawn looked stressed. So I immediately called Alex directly on his mobile because I had to get system working as my realtor was gonna bring in couple of prospective tenants. Alex took time out of his planned family outing and stopped by on Saturday afternoon. I am sure he would have taken some heat from his wife for this ;)

He found that master valve was getting shutoff. He got it working with some temporarily arrangement. He and his crew came out following Monday to fix everything which I had reported. Some may think that my experience was negative, but I take it as positive. Things happen sometimes, which may not go as expected. But being able to text/call owner directly on weekend and them coming out on weekend at couple hours notice, acknowledging the issues and getting it fixed is what I think is great customer service. So thumps up to Alex for his commitment to customer service.

I am not giving all 5 stars because of initial issues. However having said that I would definitely recoomend Austex for your irrigation systems.

I have never written any review before but WOW-Anthony just came to fix my sprinkler that had a leak. First, he was on time. I cant tell you how many times I've had from other companies not even show up. He was sooo nice and polite and listened to what I wanted. He assessed my system, gave me recommendations and what it would cost. After an hour and 1/2 he had completed all the work and then showed me what he had done and tweaked the timers. Most awesome service I have ever had!

The technician was exceptional and very friendly. However, he did not tell me what the cost of the repairs would be prior to starting the work. I may have chosen to forgo the work having known the cost I would incur. Perhaps more displeasing was that when I scheduled the appointment I was made to understand that the inspection fee would only be applicable if I declined the repairs recommended. I was billed for both the inspection and the repair. I sent an email to Austex explaining the situation. Their response boarded on rude and they declined to make any adjustments to the bill. I payed the bill in full but felt compelled to post this review. I don't think I will request their services again.

I had a great couple of guys - Gabriel and Brad - come out to inspect my sprinkler system. They knew their stuff and had an assessment done in less than 15 minutes. The subsequent repair/adjustment on a handful of busted sprinkler heads was also swift. These guys were professional and appreciative of the fact that I obviously had to get back to work when they were done. They also explained their assessment in great detail without belaboring what needed to be done. Fast, efficient, quality work. I'll be using them again for some follow-up work on moving some sprinkler heads around.

I've had two encounters with Austex, one good and one not so good. I'm not quite sure how to review based off of that as I was really impressed by the first visit. That being said today sadly I was not a fan. I'll start with the good. I was having issues several months ago with a few zones in my yard not watering when they were supposed to so I contacted Austex. They came out looked at the system found the issue and scheduled a time to fix it. When they came out they actually figured out that the issue wasn't as bad as they originally thought, saved me some money and performed the rest of the work perfectly. Based upon this I decided to call them back as they did such a great job when I experienced another issue with a possible leak. This sadly leads to the bad. Again, I scheduled an appointment for today. I ended up rearranging my work schedule so I could get out for the appointment but then got a call from their tech saying that he ended one of his appointments early and if I wanted to move my appointment earlier. I couldn't and needed to keep my original appointment, which he said was fine. Fast forward to 30 mins after my appointment was supposed to start and nothing. So, I called the tech who didn't answer but immediately texted me that he was still at an appointment and that he was still planning to make it over. Fast forward to over 3 hours later, I finally get a text saying he's not going to make it and that we can reschedule for tomorrow at the same time. Since I already moved my schedule around to make this appointment as well as others this week things are tight and I can't make changes at the drop of a hat (of course I didn't say it exactly like that or type it like that because we never actually talked after that first conversation). Now, I understand that things happen but with no real communication I kind of wasted the time we were supposed to meet as I could have stayed at work instead of taking off early and trying to make it up another day. The experience kind of left me feeling like a drop in the bucket, which I probably am but who wants to feel that way.

So in a nutshell, loved the first visit but the second one left me with a bad taste in my mouth that couldn't let me give any higher stars for this review. Perhaps in the future if I have any further needs I may give Austex another try but not this time.

I am so happy with this company. Their field tech, Trevor Adams, came out to our home to review and help fix a sprinkler system that is already in place. He spent 2 hour thoroughly going over every single aspect of the system with me. He moved things around and told me what he wouldn't and would fix. There were multiple things that I thought needed to be fixed and he just twisted something or indicated it really wasn't worth the money to fix. Austex did a great job at diagnosing my issue. I thought my control box may have partially died, due to only a few zones kicking on, but it ended up being a faulty wire. Due to it being an easy fix, I opted to keep the wire, and bury it myself. I am pleased with work and knowledge the company has. I will definitely recommend them to others, when in need of repairs or installations.

I recently purchased a home in Austin and began have to problems with my sprinkler system. I was advised by a landscaper that I may have a leak in the underground pipes. I called Alex and, rather than come out and charge me $100 for a service call, he felt that 99% of the time re-setting the control panel would solve the problem. He graciously spent 30 minutes with me on the phone and resolved my problem.

Not only will I now use Austex for my sprinkler service in the future, I have also referred him to a friend of mine that is having problems with flooding due to a faulty french drain system, and I am confident Alex will provide him the best service possible.

Moved into a home built in 2012 and we had a leak at the master control valve where it connects with the backflow preventer. Austex was the only company out of 8 that I called that was willing to come out and help me in less than a 1 month time frame despite being a new customer.

Alex was our technician, and he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He saw the problem and went over the different scenarios to fix. He was able to get the job done in under 2 hours and walked me through the whole system to ensure there were no other problems. We used AustexSprinklers in 2016 and was satisfied every time they came to our home. Today we requested service for our irrigation sprinkler system which one of the sprinkler head had busted off. I must say that the response from the time that I requested service to the time of the service tech arrival was excellent. Anna the administrator/ scheduler was professional and courteous s she tried to accommodate our request. The service tech (Gilbert) arrived earlier than the schedule appointment, but he called in advance to let us know that he could come approximately 45 minutes early. Gilbert was very knowledgeable and professional. He answered any questions or concerns that we had. Gilbert also gave some great tips for watering and recommendation for how to best service our sprinklers in the future. I trust and believe in AustexSprinklers and will not use any other company as long as they are in business. We are 100% satisfied with the quality of work we received and will continue to use AustexSprinklers. I strongly recommend to other homeowners in the servicing area of this company to contact them if your sprinkler system needs service. Logan from Austex was awesome! He repaired a broken pipe and head, tested the system, and replaced some heads with newer ones. The old ones misted so much that in the heat of the summer most of the water evaporated before it hit the ground. The new heads don't mist so the water actually gets to the grass.

I was going to aerate the next day so Logan marked each of the sprinkler heads for me, even making a trip to Lowe's to get enough flags to do the whole yard. I paid for the flags, but the labor was all his :)

Not only was he on time and conscientious, he went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the job. Doesn't get any better than that!

UPDATE on 8/1/13 :
After I left a 1 star review yesterday , Alex , the owner , saw the situation and immediately contact me via messages and phone calls to apologize and want to do whatever it takes to gain my business back . This was an incident that he hired the wrong guy , Philip , and luckily he has left the company . I now feel sorry for Alex that he has to clean up all the mess that Philip caused to his customers . Anyhow , Alex personally finished the job for me today and even did extra that worth $210 for free . He refund my $450 as well and even gave us a $50 Texas roadhouse gift card as an apology . I told him I prefer paying what I need to pay and do not want to take advantage of him but he insisted !! Alex has proved me that he cares about his customer's satisfaction not just $$ . I am giving him 5+ stars to his professional problem solving attitude and his cares and services . Thank you again Alex , I will tell everyone about you and your company and will definately call you for our future needs .

I was excitd to finally find one that is reputable and had a great review here on Yelp to fix a leak on our sprinkler . Called Alex up to schedule an appointment . The Phillip guy showed up on time and gave us a quote of $450 to replace the two valves and the control circut board after his examation . Because of the review I have read here , we went ahead have him do it without thinking twice . He changed the control circut board and claimed he did not have the kind of the valve available so he would come back on Tuesday to fix it . However , he showed up on Monday instead of Tuesday ( good thing I was home ) , then he found there was a cover missing on where the electric wires are and suggested we take care of it right away . At that time , he asked me how much he quoted us .. that is kind of weird question .. so I told him $450 . Then he realized he did not spot the missing cover problem at the beginning so he is going to honor it and fix it at the cost he original quoted us . However , things go sour from here ..... He susposed to replace two new valves as he originally quoted us , instead , he cut corners to save his loss by re-building one of the valves instead of replacing it , and he did not tell us upfront until we found out ourselves after we paid him in full . He claimed again , he did not have that missing cover in his truck so he would come back to fix it . But guess what , after he got all our payment , he never came back to fix it . I called him up at least 5 times by now , and every time he gave me a date he would come finish the job but he never showed up and did not even call either !!!! Then he started changing his words saying he did not charge us for that cover and it does not have immediate danger without that electric wire cover . And then kept telling me how busy he is .. got many customers to take care , etc... But HELLO , HE DID NOT FINISH HIS JOB TO HIS PRIOR CUSTOMER AFTER WE PAID HIM IN FULL ON 7/22/13 !!! It's been about a week and half , he promised he would show up today as I told him this is HIS last chance . My phone calls now got ignored . We are very disappointed with this kind of service we received . Will I recommand anyone to this company ? The answer is HELL NO !

Customer Service Customer Service Customer Service. Austex really cares about their customers and fixing issues customers might have. I have not met to many great companies like Austex that really care about their customers. The owner (Alex) really goes above and beyond for his customers. I had a wet spot in my lawn being caused by a leaking valve. Alex came out and explained to me exactly what the issue was and was great in fixing the issue. He has great communication skills and is an all around good guy. I would absolutely use Austex again for any sprinkler issues I might have. I needed our rental house irrigation system completely checked out and knew that there was broken parts. Tried to schedule Austex twice but had to reschedule due to the cold and icy weather. They were very understanding. Finally scheduled and they called and had an emergency so the offer me a 15% discount to reschedule to the afternoon. He called in advance of arrival, went about his business quickly and efficiently, showing me exactly where and what the problems were. Fixed all the line breaks and broken heads in about 1 hour and adjusted all the heads and tested the system. He honored his word and I received a 15% discount off a very fair price. I'm not easily impressed but they will get my business again. Great job and a great price.

OMG! If you want quality service at a reasonable price, this company is for you. I had a suspected sprinkler system leak. Called Austex and out came Alex and Logan, two very special people. They went to work immediately and discovered my problem in no time. Wasn't my sprinkler system but appeared to be my main line to the house. This allowed me to focus on the area needing attention.
On the same day, the owner Alex came out to give me a bid on replacing a window and gutters. Alex was knowledgable and so very helpful. He gave me the bids while he was here.

I had some issues with my sprinklers that I inherited when I bought a house. The previous owner was not friendly and wasn't interested in helping me sort out the issues. While I was not able to connect with Alex to have him do the work (he was too busy as it's just him I think and if everyone gives you 5-stars, they all want you), we did spend several minutes on the phone. He went out to my site and assessed the damage and then went over everything on the phone. Due to his busy schedule, I had by then got the work completed so was able to fill in some of the gaps for him. In short, a fantastic customer experience and I can happily recommend him - if he's available. :)

Called a couple of other top rated companies, but Austex was the most friendly, so I decided to schedule an appointment. For now, I believe it was right decision and I was very satisfied with working with the company. Phillip from Austex showed up a little bit early and found the problem quickly. Fortunately it was just wiring problem, so the fix was simple. While he ran some diagnosis, he explained what he was doing to make sure I understood what's going on. After the fix, we tried to turn the zone on and off repeatedly to make sure the fix was robust. I scheduled another appointment for the tuning of my sprinkler system right away since I was pretty happy with the service. Highly recommend working with the company for your sprinkler problem.

Alex and Austex do a great job. I have an older system and am in North Cat Mountain where the water pressure is never constant. Alex is good at communicating what the issues are with the system and related issues caused by the city. He and his crew are timely, courteous and charge fair prices. Alex with Austex sprinklers did a great job!! After calling another sprinkler company and having them tell me they would be out to check on my leak and then just not show, I called Alex. He was out first thing the next day, evaluated my problem, and got back to me with an estimate for the repair. He is very knowledgable about his business and very reasonable, the actual job was only half as much as the estimate (he told me the estimate could be high depending on man-hours and extent of the repair once they got in there). They got the job done by noon the day after eval while I was at work! And this was 3 days before Christmas! Thank you Alex, I'm telling all my friends to call you if they need any irrigation help!!

I concur with all of the five star reviews below. I picked Austex as a result of seeing these stellar reviews. I immediately reached Alex; he was curteous and set up Gilbert to come and do the repair that afternoon. We set up a time, and he even showed up early! Gilbert quickly diagnosed the break in my main line, gave a reasonable estimate (especially considering he spent 2 1/2 hours), fixed it, tested it, tested all of my zones, and even did some adjustments and reprogrammed the control box. He also very quickly replaced a broken head. I would absolutely use them again!

We had a few issues with the sprinklers that caused us to lose a bit of grass during the drought. I contacted Alex a few weeks ago, after reading the other reviews on Yelp. He responded promptly, and was checking out our sprinkler problems within a couple of days. He repaired the pipe that was broken, and gave me pointers on how to adjust our landscaping for optimal sprinkler coverage. We did just as he said, and I'm seeing an improvement in our yard already! We had someone come out to fix a leak on our sprinkler sprinkler system from Austex but within a week we had the same problem cone up again. The owner came out himself, repaired the leak and gave us a credit for any future work and apologized for the issue. I was very impressed about how quickly they responded and how concerned he was that my problem was not fixed by a previous employee. Would highly recommend Alex from Austex Sprinklers. We just moved to the Austin area a few months ago and wanted to make sure the existing sprinkler system was working properly. Alex arrived promptly, gave me a reasonable estimate and scheduled the repairs the next week. He definitely had his hands full with all the problems this system had. I try to choose carefully to find a reputable company and I chose Austex Sprinklers because of the amount of great reviews in Yelp. They did not disappoint! The tech who arrived at my place was Frank M. He was awesome! Very nice to speak with, extremely helpful and educational on a few items. You could tell just be speaking with him that he is a good human. :) It was clear that he had my best interest in mind when we were talking about the related sprinkler issues. After discovering some running drip irrigation hoses (and a high water bill), I contacted Austex Sprinklers and Frank arrived to do what he does best. On a subsequent visit, he installed additional sprinkler heads and determined that all zones were set correctly to keep our plants alive in the Austin heat. Frank always calls to inform me of his arrival time; he is professional, friendly, and explains what work he has completed. After our current landscaping project is done, he will return to make changes to the system. Kudos to the office staff and Frank for their attitude and work ethic. Austex Sprinklers is always my choice when I have sprinkler problems or additional work done to our system.

We moved into a home that had a great many issues with the sprinkler system. Frank came out and saw that we had a leak at the main water valve that I hadn't noticed. The grass had turned black but I had no idea why until he showed us. He then looked at our back patio area and suggested we put in a drip system in the extensive garden area that wasn't doing very well. He spent over 7 hours working tirelessly on an extremely hot day. He fixed everything, added the drip system (which was no easy task) and added water lines into my flower pots without even asking, making it so much easier to take care of them! We even have an extra zone added should we decide to add more shrubs, trees, and flowers in the back! He reset our timers so that each zone was finally getting enough water, adjusting the drip systems specifically for special needs like our myrtles and our rose bushes. There won't be any need to ever look again for someone to maintain our sprinkler system. I highly recommend them. Frank was amazing! The price was more than fair, given the scope of work performed. You won't be sorry if you use them.

Alex, Travis, and Gilbert were all wonderful. I needed to redesign an existing irrigation system, and Alex promptly came out to provide an estimate. Shortly thereafter, Travis and Gilbert came to do the work. A couple of months later, after planting sod and building a deck, I needed to tweak the system to account for the new lawn height and deck. They came out within a couple of days and made the changes for a very reasonable price. And when I found a leak, they came out the next day for a free warranty visit to fix it. I couldn't be happier with the work or with the service.

This is the type of local company everyone should use. Excellent customer service and responsiveness, and very knowledgeable and friendly employees. I would definitely use them again and HIGHLY recommend them.

Great experience and service with Travis and Austex Sprinklers! I called them because my sprinkler system wasn't tuned right...bunch of dying grass spots amongst overly watered spots. I also had my fence replaced recently and a couple of the sprinkler heads were on the wrong side of the fence.

Travis came out and thoroughly (and quickly) assessed the issues, gave me a quote, and then did the work, all in about 90 minutes. This involved replacing several nozzles, a couple of shafts, capping one head, and moving 3 others.

Travis also reprogrammed my system for the most optimal performance and gave me a bunch of info and tips so I can be more self-sufficient in the future.

Give these guys a call...you won't be disappointed!

This crew is great! I had a minor delay after the gas company couldn't accurately locate lines, that's not Austex's fault! However, on the day of install, they were prompt, very hard working and got the job done! A representative of the office came to the sight that morning to ensure all my concerns would be addressed. I offered water and snacks, and the crew were very humble, initially refusing until I insisted... very respectful people! I couldn't be happier with the service and the people sent to my sight. This is a great company to work with and I would highly recommend. They did a full install... offered the best (3year) warranty available... They might not be the cheapest, but, you do get what you pay for!

I called Austex when I thought I had a sprinkler system leak. Since there was going to be a slight delay in scheduling a service call, Alex walked me through shutting the water off over the phone. He was very patient and encouraged me to call back if I had any questions. When Matt evaluated my leak, he discovered that the problem was not in my sprinkler system at all, but was in my potable water line. He exposed the pipes for my plumber who was able to successfully fix the problem. I was extremely impressed with the friendliness, helpfulness, and overall professional attitudes of both Alex and Matt. Should I ever need a sprinkler repair or service, I will most certainly use Austex.

I can't say enough about the service I received from Austex Sprinklers. We needed to have some of the sprinkler heads on our system adjusted, so we naturally called the company that originally installed it; however, they informed us they were too busy! I called a couple of other companies...some I had to leaves messages for and never heard back from and others were glad to come out but they charged a minimum hourly rate (ranging from $89 to $109) just for an estimate.

Alex was super responsive and I had an appointment scheduled within a week of my call. Gilbert was the technician who came out...he checked our entire system to ensure adequate coverage and adjusted seven sprinkler heads. He completed his work within an hour...he was very knowledgeable and super responsive. What I like best was that he didn't try to do more work that absolutely needed.

I will use Austex from now on and highly recommend them!

I called AusTex about an older sprinkler system that was not working when we purchased the home. Alex came out and worked on trying to diagnose the issue(s). He determined that it was either a backflow preventer valve problem or a main line blockage. He gave me an estimate for both repairs, but did not push me to do either service, as he said he couldn't guarantee that either would fix the system (and noted that other issues might arise even if these repairs were made). He suggested, after I asked, that a new system might be the better option, but didn't try to push me in that direction. I would certainly recommend AusTex if you are in need of sprinkler repair help.

When I woke up to a small river on the exterior side of my house (Friday before Easter) I panicked!! I immediately had the water turned off and started my internet search. I decided to check Yelp since I am somewhat new to the area and came across Austex Sprinklers - I was deciding on 2 other company's but I contacted Austex via Yelp and I am happy I did!!
First off Phil was very prompt with a response and said he would contact me first thing Monday morning (being that it was a non emergency and a holiday weekend). I spoke with him first thing Monday morning and he told me that he would send out a guy by the name of Frank. I thought he was going to come out look at it, give me an estimate etc. etc. Phil said, Oh no Frank will fix it when he comes out. So he scheduled me the appointment.
Not only does Frank show up, he called and asked me if he could show up a bit early!! Very friendly, very knowledgeable and professional. He fixed my leak, doubled checked things and in a matter of no time he was done! Frank was truly AWESOME - you never know who is going to be sent your way and I was very pleased with the outcome. Also very fairly priced, I did not feel over charged. I will definitely use them again if needed.

I had an irrigation system installed at my place from Austex Sprinklers and couldn't be happier. The staff was courteous and accommodating. Alex is a true professional and a really nice guy. They will not except payment until Alex personally walks you through the system and makes sure you're 100% satisfied. They are a little pricier than the competition but, if you're like me, and customer service is extremely important to you then they are well worth it. The installation occurred during the wettest May on record in Round Rock and I was at my house when the crew was installing the system. To be honest I was a little worried about how bad my lawn was being torn up and how messy the driveway was. But after they finished, they made sure the mud was cleaned up and the trenches were filled. Now two weeks after the install my lawn looks great! I'm really excited I never have to drag a hose around again! I would absolutely use Alex and Austex Sprinklers again for any sprinkler related issue.

I had a pool of water in my yard near my sprinkler backflow preventer valve. My sprinkler was put in years ago and I also wanted a master valve cutoff installed to prevent water possibly leaking from any of my 9 zoned substations. I called Austex Sprinklers to come have a look. Alex came out and found a small leak in my sprinkler system. He also noticed a small leak in my home's main water line that was leaking directly under my leaking sprinkler pipe. I called a plumber to repair the main line. While we waited Alex and his partner dug out and exposed the leak in the main line. The plumber repaired the leak and we left the pipes exposed. It's a good thing the lines weren't covered up. The next day I noticed that the yard line that the plumber had repaired was still leaking. The plumber's company sent out another repair person who fixed the leak. I waited a few days and after I saw that both leaks were stopped I bedded the pipes in sand and leveled the soil. That was about a month ago. I noticed that my sprinkler zone 9 wasn't working and called Austex Sprinkler. They sent Alex out in a couple of days and he laid hands on the system and got it working properly. I still don't know what was wrong with zone 9 but after he left it was working.

I won't mention the name of the plumbing company because I was very disappointed in them. They sent out a plumber with a broken thumb. It was a couple of days later that he repaired our home's line. It was cold and he sat in his truck for a couple hours waiting for the pipe glue to cure. He didn't ask if there were any other things he could do plumbing wise at our home. And, after all the waiting, the pipe still leaked the next day and had to be repaired by another plumber from that company.

I am very impressed with Austex as they performed almost all of the digging for the plumber. They also sent Alex out to fix my zone 9 in a timely manner. They have done such a great job and had such excellent follow up that I am calling them tomorrow to repair another sprinkler system that I own on the East side of Austin.

I had an issue with high water usage since moving to Austin a few months ago. I was averaging $600-$700 per month on my water bill. After having the water co. visit and verify there were no leaks, I was able to isolate the high usage to my sprinler system, but had no clue where to go from there.

A co-worker recommended Alex. When I called, he explained it was most likely not a leak or a bad valve, and that he'd help me over the phone for free. He spent a good 15 minutes with me on the phone, walking me through how to fix it while I was at my sprinkler box making the adjustments he recommended. So relieved now knowing my water bill is going to come in much lower.

My irrigation stopped working seemingly overnight, so I found great reviews on Yelp for Austex.
They came out this past Monday to work on the problem. Without going into details, I had a couple of issues with the visit which bothered me enough to call back. The receptionist was very
nice and said she would relay my feelings to Alex, the owner, right away. Within 5 minutes, he
called, and the first thing he said was that he wanted Happy Customers, and whatever he could
do to make things right, he would. We talked it through, and he explained the issues I had with great clarity, and totally resolved the situation in the most professional and gracious manner. This
is the sign of a really good businessman who cares about his customers, and really wants to make
them happy.
Everything is happily resolved, and I will be calling them again very soon to fix some other issues.

I just had Alex @Austex Sprinklers over to help me fix my old sprinkler system. He was here on time. He went through the system with me and explained a lot of things to me before I made the decision. Austex Sprinklers came out to repair a broken valve in our system. Upon inspection it turned out that the problem was possibly more extensive (and expensive) than originally expected. Alex was upfront with pricing and took care to explain everything that was wrong and what it would take to fix it. It turned out the he was able to fix the problem for less money than he originally thought which was great news. That's not something you usually hear from repair guys in any industry. Austex is now my go-to company for all things irrigation - no reason to call anyone else.

I don't write a lot of reviews, but these guys deserve it! From the initial phone call for service to the very satisfied customer at the end, it was a very pleasant experience.
Brad called me well ahead of my scheduled appointment to let me know he was running about an hour behind and made sure that was still okay in my schedule. He called again as he was heading my way and arrived promptly as he said. I like that.
He figured out the problem quickly - the foundation repair folks had turned a valve which led to the parkway water running constantly when the main supply lines were on. Brad offered to check the valve fitting as a precaution and told me 'no charge' after things were put back together a few minutes later. This is a company that cares about their customers. Rare in todays service market! I really appreciate the professional, knowledgeable, fast and very kind service. Thank you Brad! :)

I had a leak in my sprinkler system caused by a previous company coming out to replace my grass and accidentally tearing off a sprinkler head. The company shall remain anonymous *cough* grass4sale *cough* but they refused to fix it. I went to yelp to find somebody to check the puddle in my front yard and contacted Alex w/Austex Sprinklers. He was friendly and guaranteed they would fix the issue to my satisfaction. Phillip came out the following week and immediately found the issue and repaired it. He even replaced another sprinker head and checked the rest of the system to make sure I was getting total coverage. Thanks Phillip! Alex and his crew were excellent and professional in every way. I had about 4 different companies come and give me estimates over a 3 month period, all top rated companies on Angie's List. AusTex was not the cheapest, but they were clearly the best choice for the job. Here are the reasons I chose AusTex:
1) Alex, the owner, was extremely professional. He came when he said he would. He was dressed well. He was down to earth. He was prepared and knowledgeable about my property. He obviously cares deeply about the reputation of his company.
2) Alex took the time to go over the products that would be used and the reasons they were preferred. Alex offered 3 levels of installation, and he explained in detail the difference between the 3. No other company did this. This lead me to believe that the cheapest available materials were probably what I should expect from companies not including multiple options in their bids. Alex brought a case full of sprinkler heads, pipes, joints, and the Hunter control unit, and explained everything in as much or as little detail as I was interested in.
3) I could tell from the reviews on Angie's list and my time with Alex that this company would stand behind their work and get things right. I am confident that AusTex will still be in business years down the road when warranty work needs to be done or something needs to be modified.
On the day of installation Alex's crew came on time and worked hard all day long. The installation took one day and they returned my yard to as much of its previous condition as they could. I hardly knew they were there. They were courteous and polite. The sprinklers work fantastic and I am very happy with the system. Alex came back to my house a week later to make sure I was familiar with everything and to answer any final questions I had. I rest easy knowing if anything came up Alex would bend over backwards to help me or make things right.

I stand completely corrected about my experience and first impression of Austex Sprinklers. After my initial yelp review the owner Phil called me within hours to not only apologize but to also request for the opportunity to 'make it right'. They shifted around their schedules to have Logan come out. He ended up spending a full day working on our system. I can honestly say, Logan might be the most kind and gracious gentleman I've ever worked with. He only wants to do good quality work and was an absolute pleasure to interact with him. Our system problems ended up being more complicated that anyone imagined, but both Phil and Logan have gone out of their way to make sure we're taken care of. Looking back now, my initial experience was an unfortunate but there's not an unkind or unwilling bone in these guys. They have definitely earned our business for life - there's a reason why they have a 5 star rating from all of their customers!

His prices seemed fair and he was very professional and friendly. He redid the pipes feeding our system as well as repaired several sprinkler heads. 5 stars aren't really enough, I've had several companies come out and do repairs over the years and never felt like I got my money's worth. They all worked by the hour on repairs and bid the full system jobs. Brad at Austex came out and replaced 10 rotors and adjusted the entire system in about and hour and a half, working on a bid. It came out to about half of what I had experienced from the other guys on similar jobs.

Alex at Austex is great. Alex took the time to talk with me on the phone about our sprinkler issue before I made an appt. He arrived within the one hour timeframe he gave and was able to efficiently diagnose the problem. Alex really knows his stuff.

When we moved into our home we noticed part of the garden wasn't getting any water and grass was dying and there was a spot in the yard that looked like we'd struck oil. Frank came out and showed us that we had a pretty good leak at the controller and suggested a drip system in the backyard for our flowers and shrubs. He came out a week later and worked over 7 hours in 100-degree weather to get everything working again. He fixed broken heads, adjusted the timer, added a drip system along with another zone should we decide to add more vegetation down the road and even added the drip system to my flower pots as a bonus that I had not even thought to ask for. He explained everything he did and walked around with me to make sure everything was working and showed me how to make adjustments on my own. Loved his work. And I'm relieved to know that we found a great sprinkler company to take care of any sprinkler needs we may have in the future. We got other quotes but in the end, we liked how Frank discussed everything with us and felt they would do the best job. Their price was competitive but I definitely know we got more bang for our buck using Austex. Can't say enough good things about this company and Frank!

Alex is very responsive and professional. Our home was struck by lightening a few weeks back. That took out the control box. Alex was out here quickly and he replaced the control box. I suggested adding a surge protector to avoid the problem in the future. Alex could have said yes and charged me more, but he explained that the surge can come through the line from the valves and adding a surge protector to the electrical line would not help. I appreciated his honesty. Highly recommend his service.

I had to hire this company to fix the mistakes another company had done. Not only did the get the job done but they did an awesome job, and below the initial cost estimated. Its sad that we had to hire them but I would definitely use this company for all my future needs.

So glad to find Austex Sprinklers. Alex, the owner, came to do the annual maintenance check on our sprinkler system. Called 20 mins before the appt time (8am), got here on time and took more than an hour to patiently answer all our questions and go over every details. We're meticulous about details (asking about each head..) and Alex professionally dealt with all. Fixing up a couple of minor issues was included in the maintenance fee and he adjusted/shut off some of the heads as we requested. He also showed us how to adjust/control heads and even called up a lawn guy to discuss our lawn issue. We'll have him come back to fix up broken heads and have him come back every year for an annual check-up. Highly recommend his service and highly recommend getting your sprinkler system checked up every year before something goes very wrong!

I called Austex because of the Yelp reviews and I'm here to add my kudos. Our system had a leak and also low water pressure. I called on a Sunday when they were closed and left a message. They called me first thing Monday morning and we arranged a time that worked for my busy work schedule. I got an advance call from Alex to let me know he was on his way. He quickly assessed the situation and was able to fix the leak and advised that our low water pressure was due to a bad pressure regulator valve which required a licensed plumber. He recommended that we get that fixed before he do the full irrigation system review. He was spot on about the PRV as once that was replaced, the irrigation system began to work beautifully. Alex came back within a few days to do the system review and confirmed the system was now functioning exactly as it should with only one bad head that he quickly fixed. We discussed how the areas of the yard that had dwindled over the summer should now revive with the proper water pressure/coverage. He also gave advice on how to properly set our new irrigation controller based on the watering restrictions, the kind of heads and yard slope. I'm looking forward to saving water and money as spring and summer arrive! My husband also made me laugh as he was duly impressed with Alex's knowledge and said Alex looked too young to know so much! Thank you, Alex and Austex!

On a Saturday evening, I found an impressive but unplanned water feature in my front yard -- a pipe had broken. A number of businesses were closed on Sunday, but Philip from Austex came out and fixed the whole mess in about an hour -- for about a quarter of what I expected the job to run! VERY friendly, VERY competent guys who really seem to care about customer service. I will work with them again!

All you have to do is read the other reviews of Austex Sprinklers to know how my experience was using Austex Sprinklers. You can tell in talking with Alex that he takes customer service, and providing timely,professional work seriously. He is easy to contact, and responds quickly to questions and scheduling concerns of his customers. Travis, the technician assigned to my account was friendly, informative, and very professional in how he completed the minor repairs needed. Travis was obviously interested in finding, and repairing what needed to be fixed, and nothing more. He took the time to clearly explain my system, how to program it, and walked me through the process. I learned several things that will allow me to adequately, and efficiently water my yard and plants, while still reducing the amount of water I use. Any time any of my family and friends need sprinkler system service I will strongly suggest they call Austex Sprinklers. I will never call anyone else!

I called Austex Sprinklers because there was a leak from my irrigation control box. They called me back within five minutes of leaving a message and told me what I needed to do immediately to try and stop the leak until they could send someone out. Matt showed up exactly when he said he would and gave me the lowdown on what needed to be down, the parts he needed to get, what they would cost and a rough estimate. Throughout his work, Matt updated me on what needed to be done and even though he ran into some other problems along the way, called and asked my permission before he proceeded. Even though he had to dig up around the control box, he left it in a shape to where you barely notice that it had been dug up. Even my neighbor was impressed with the work that was done. If you need sprinkler repair or installation, give Austex Sprinklers a call. They won't try to upsell you anything and they'll make sure your system is repaired and tell you what needs to be done if your system is not up to city code.
