These guys at Hoffman Plumbing have saved me now - TWICE.  I live in a wooded area where roots get into my pipes.  The first time it happened time I called AJ Perri using their $99 pipe-clearing guarantee.  The guy from AJ Perri spent 1/2 a day here and opened the pipe to a trickle and considered that meeting the 'guarantee'.  He wanted to set up a camera appointment for which their office does a hard sell (check their reviews for lots of detail on THAT).  

Anyway, I then got a referral to Rich from a friend, and he responded right away and completely cleared the pipe after a much shorter period.  Fast forward 1 1/2 years and here I am with a major backup from the upstairs bathroom to the kitchen to the laundry room.  Rich returned my call within 3 MINUTES and sent a crew first thing in the morning.  His crew, Paul and Dan, were efficient, friendly and knowledgeable.  It did take a few hours, but they got the job done and the price was fair and reasonable.  

I can't give these guys a good enough recommendation.  Tere are a lot of scammers out there and we constantly have to be on the lookout.  Rich Hoffman and his crew live by the credo of a great service for reasonable pay and as a result they deserve their excellent reputation. If you need plumbing or HVAC work, you cannot go wrong with these guys.

Amazing service from Bo at Gene D plumber!! As a long distance homeowner, I'm always a little anxious about working with a repair person but Bo was reliable, honest, and straightforward. He made sure to keep in involved each step of the way and whenever possible, tried to give me the best deal possible. He made multiple trips to make sure that me and my tenant were happy. He literally texted me pictures of the work done at every visit and went the extra mile each time. Highly recommended!!

Hired to run a new sewer line, which obviously involved breaking the floor in basement etc.
Committed to job, started job, then bailed out, passing the job on to another plumber, leaving home with a week's delay in the work continuing.

Everyone likes an easy project which can pay as much as harder work--but don't commit to a a job until something better/easier comes along.

We needed a plumber to help find the exact source of the water leak coming from our shower and through our living room ceiling. James returned our call within the hour and said he would stop by after his last job that very day. He called again to give us a better idea of what time to expect him.
When he arrived, he first inspected the shower through the sheetrock opening in the downstairs ceiling and suggested that it was one of two things. He ran out to his truck and returned to troubleshoot the issue, this time from the shower itself. To our relief, it was a relatively simple fix that he said we could handle ourselves and then took the time to explain what we'd need to do. As he approached the door to leave, my husband asked him what we owed him, and he refused payment.
Throughout our 35 years as homeowners, we've had to hire many tradesmen, a few of whom simply did  shoddy work and many of whom did (what we believe to be) quality work. Regardless of the outcome, every time we decide that a professional needs to be called, our first thought is What's this gonna cost us? Once the work is done and paid for, there's often the additional lingering concern that the charge didn't include inflated billable hours, unwarranted work, etc. This isn't a commentary on tradesmen, just a common concern of laymen who need their expertise and, unavoidably, are at their mercy.
Our short interaction with James spoke to his work ethic, honesty, and integrity, qualities that are more and more hard to come by. Without question, we wouldn't hesitate to hire him next time we need a plumber.

I have City Wide come to my house every other year to do a clean out and maintenance. They are always friendly, professional and reasonable with their pricing. If you're in need of this service I recommend Citywide.

Called them in an emergency. Water was leaking from an upstairs toilet onto the floor below. They came within the hour and fixed the problem. Might be considered a little pricey for 30 minutes work. But they did the job and, most of all, fast response. That's the difference between a little damage and a lot of damage. They are definitely my go to plumbers from now on.

So thankful that I found this company through Yelp! I had a toilet clog (flushed a cleaning product that I quickly realized wasn't supposed to be flushed...) and had no clue how to fix it. I set up an appointment with Joe who was able to come over almost instantly to help me out. He gave me a heads up of what he was going to do to fix the clog, and what he'd have to do if that didn't work. Luckily, Joe was able to snake out the product that was blocking the drain. Before he left, he made sure to test it multiple times with toilet paper, and made sure to give me his number to call in case it was giving me trouble the next few days and he would come back to fix it. Joe was professional, kind, and incredibly helpful! I will definitely use this service again in the future when necessary, and would be happy to recommend this company to anyone.

I found A Real Good Plumber after a terrible experience with another plumber. The first great thing is that when you call, a lovely person named Latisha answers the phone and expedites everything. She got the Certificate of Insurance to my building within a few hours! She also immediately put me in touch with Paul, who is a pleasure to work with. Unlike almost everyone I've worked with on solving the issues in my apartment, Paul is straightforward and honest. He is upfront about costs. When things go wrong (there's always something), he gets someone back to the job as soon as he can. I feel I have found my plumber in New York, which is no small feat. I highly recommend A Real Good Plumber.

Just had my third service with these guys and once again everything was excellent and really felt compelled to leave a review. Having bought a house that needed a good deal of work done I have been dealing with awful contractors for close to two years now. This company is a breath of fresh air. Whenever I call the receptionist is super friendly, the guys who come are always on time, friendly and get what they need to accomplish in a short time. They've addressed both of our heating issues with no problem and on very short notice. Our tech today, Richard was outstanding and incredibly helpful. Highly recommend this company.

The only company that called me back during the recent cold snap when someone for whom I am responsible had broken pipes. They showed up and quoted a price they stuck with.  Tim is very knowledgeable and honest. Chris and Rob, their techs, were polite and helpful.
