I called Mike of thesewerguyinc.com aka L & C Sewers and Drains late in the morning a couple of days ago. I had already hired two different plumbers who had tried and failed to clear a sewage line from a kitchen sink, and dealt with two other plumbers who strung me along and then dropped me before ever showing up so I was getting pretty stressed out.  Mike and I talked briefly about the problem and he told me he'd get someone over there in the early afternoon, and that he felt confident that his guy Giovanni would succeed where others had failed.  Because of some challenges his guy had at the first job, he ended up coming later than expected, but there was pretty good communication, so it wasn't such a big deal. Mike ended up coming with the other guy Giovanni and with an arsenal of plumbing snakes, cameras, and other tools to get the job done. After a couple of unsuccessful first attempts to clear the line, he told me that he was the best person for the job because he was committed to figuring out a solution, and that he wouldn't give up until he succeeded. After four false starts with other plumbers, I loved hearing that!  He suggested several possible last resort measures he could take but ended up going with something much less costly and that didn't require opening any walls. He charged me a reasonable fee, was very pleasant to deal with, and cleaned up well before he left. I recommend this business 100%. I feel so glad to have found them.

I called at least 10 companies and Tom was the only one who picked up and was willing to come out the same day.  Other companies either didn't pick up or wanted pictures of the pipes in the ceiling or some other excuses, but Tom picked up and came over quickly.  

Another heating pipe plumber could have changed pipes to make money, but Tom diagnosed the issue as being a boiler part that needed to be cleaned and he changed a steam valve that was leaking and everything is working perfectly now.  

I'm so glad that of all the plumbers I called that Tom was the guy I got through to because he did EXCELLENT, COST-EFFICIENT work.  I recommend him 100%.

Excellent service and clever technicians. Bruno came by to give a prompt and exact plumbing estimate (considerably lower than 2 other estimates), and finished a rather difficult job the next day. Hard workers, honest quotes. I'm really happy with the work. Highly recommend these plumbers.

So here's the story: After over a year of trying to pen down a weekend with my girl Tracy in the LES, it finally happened!

I took the Amtrak from Boston and arrived around 7:00 PM. After two wonderful nights (and a day) I woke up Monday morning pretty early and discovered her bathroom ceiling had a growing water pocket. I woke her up (we were both feeling pretty hungover) to show her.

Luckily Tracy had a business card for Hub Plumbing that a friend gave her. She called and left a message. John, the owner called her back within an hour saying that he or someone could be out there by noonish.
Sure enough, around 11:40 John himself showed up.
He disappeared for about 20 minutes, then came back to tell us what was happening. Within less than an hour the water bubble was gone and the problem was solved! Her landlord was billed, so I don't know what their rates are, but he came, he saw and he conquered it!

You always hear about shoddy plumber/contractor stories, this gladly was not one of them :)

I suddenly noticed the piping under my sink had rusted through and contacted a bunch of plumbers through Yelp. Chris and his team answered my request right away and were able to show up the next morning. They offered to come that night, but I have a newborn and she had finally settled down for the night! Chris came the next morning and replaced the piping and helped me choose a new faucet. He even drove me to Home Depot! His pricing was reasonable as well. I hope to contact him again when I want to re-do my bathrooms.

This is not an honest company.  

My boiler's hot surface igniter goes on and off.  I called the office and spoke to Donna two days ago.  I asked what do they charge for making a visit.  She replied the big boss will be there so I should ask him.  A guy came and tightened wires and said there is nothing to maintain for my boiler.  He said it's working fine and charged us $150 for something that took him less than ten minutes.  I called Donna to ask if they would charge again if the igniter goes out again.  She sounded very annoyed and said maybe she'll give us a discount if it goes out next few days.  Well the igniter went out eight hours after he visited and I called and left a message.  It's been more than 24 hours since I left a message and no one got back to me.  

They should make it very clear what they charge for their first hour and additional hours plus parts.  I know plumbers are in high demand in the winter time, but my experience with this company was pretty bad.  I felt like we got robbed because he did not fix what I called him for.

Igor saved us. We had a blockage in our main sewer line. This was a true emergency the line was backing up into our basement. No description necessary. Finally found out if we waited a long time it  slowly receded ,cold quick showers and limited flushing made life miserable. We called several plumbers but no-one concidered our problem an emergency. Finally Watermac was suggested. They responded immediately, worked fast knew exactly what to do. Fast, efficient, clean, friendly. I could go on but you get the idea.
  I have recommended them to others who also received excellent service. Give them a try, you will not regret it.

Needed a hot water tank replaced right away. Got quotes from a few other local plumbers. GG Plumbing's quote was the second cheapest. However, Gasper was very quick to respond and he gave me a firm quote. After calling back the lower priced plumber who then gave me the price starting at... spiel, I went with my gut and gave Gasper the green light to start the work. The guys showed up the same day at the promised time and got it done in a couple of hours. Quick and painless experience for a plumbing emergency. I am happy!

We recently had an issue with needing a sign-off and he responded immediately.  

He has a master plumber license and that means he can get things done directly with Department of Buildings.  Uptown property owners needing to find a good plumber should seek him out.

Chris helped me out QUICK, FAST, and in a HURRY! I was experiencing a water leak coming from my water heater that turned into another leak created from one of the valve's due to the pipes being so out-dated. The leak was to heavy and needed to be fixed immediately. I gave chris a call and he stopped by and evaluated my problem. He was able to diagnose and give me suggestions as to what my options were. I trusted his judgement and continued the job with him. I'm about 15-20 mins he had fixed my pipes and stopped the leak. I was amazed and grateful. I was able to use my water and heat my house again. Amazing plumbers!!! I first met them when they fixed an emergency gas pipe leak and I couldn't thank them enough -- beautiful professional job. I should have called them 6 weeks ago when my boiler wouldn't start. I did the mistake in calling Arnica plumbers who installed my boiler in 1998. Arnica's plumber said a part that I needed for my boiler wasn't being made anymore -- so after a patch up job and an 800 dollar bill my boiler only worked for 6 weeks. He tried to push a new boiler on me. So last night my boiler stopped working I called Arnica and an appointment wouldn't be available for a full day. I'm flying tomorrow noon for Thanksgiving holiday and they wouldn't make an exception. I called Franco Belli and that part that Anika said wasn't made anymore Franco Belli found it in a heart beat. I love these guys in two hours I had heat again. They know the trade and they don't rip you off!!! Amazing workers -- thank you so much for being honest and reliable!!!

Harry is awesome! I had a leaking pipe and he helped me fix it in 5 minutes at a reasonable cost. Very quick, understanding and professional. I'm glad that I didn't look at the previous review or I would have missed out on impeccable service and much needed plumbing tips. I highly recommend Waterhouse Plumbing to anyone who needs plumbing repairs. Also not sure what experience the person who reviewed before me had in terms of finding the office but I don't think that they're talking about the same company since they have a legitimate office on Attorney St which is where I paid my invoice.

Excellent service on short notice. Shpat, the plumbing, came over on a Sunday morning --and fixed the bathroom tub drainage which was severely backed up. Within a half hour the job was done. This is the best plumbing service I have ever called. Very responsive!

Very responsive and easy to schedule - the time from initial quote request to service was just a few hours (on a Saturday).  Resolved my toilet issue quickly at a very reasonable rate (replaced feed valve and flapper) and the tech was friendly and professional.  Would definitely recommend ESP despite there only being a few reviews up here so far - guessing that will change soon!
