My husband and I bought a fixer upper row house in downtown Jersey City about three years ago. Over the last three years, we have had a LOT of experience with plumbers, carpenters, electricians, constructions workers, brick masons... and the list goes on. And a lot of those experiences have been bad. Edmundo and his crew at Continental Plumbing & Heating, Inc. stand out as one of the few positive experiences we have had. I have come to rely on them more and more and I have used them as general contractors as well as plumbers. They are reliable, responsive and always an excellent value. Edmundo takes the time to listen to what I want and if there is a problem it always gets fixed. I would recommend them to anyone and (unfortunately) I really know a lot about whats out there.

Great work from this company. I was very worried at the amount of work that would need to be done to my bathtub. The pipe under my bathtub was completely rotted. Dwight was on time and ready for the task. Very professional and knew what he was doing. Now I can take a shower in my apartment due to his work. Highly recommend this company!

We had a shower handle leak and needed to have it addressed. I sent pictures to the owner who advised accordingly based on images. He let us know that a tech coming out would be 99.00 plus tax and this amount would go towards the final total for whatever the job would be. We scheduled the same day appointment and the technician Q arrived on time and with face mask. He assessed the situation and all was remedied in minutes! The entire visit was about 15 minutes and we could not have been more pleased. We were concerned that the matter might prove costly and were so happy to have the mechanic inform us that it was a very minor fix covered by the service call fee of $99. We know that there are times when industries can inflate costs because the consumer is not knowledgeable....so it felt great to experience integrity and superb customer service from this company I chose simply based a few Yelp reviews and kind chats with the owner (I think) via text. He reached out the day after our first chat to follow up and see if we still needed assistance...so responsive and on point. The entire experience was seamless and pleasant and I highly recommend this company and will definitely reach out to them when we look to update our shower hardware in the near future. I had a sewer pipe that need to be fixed.  Called S&B last Thursday morning and the girl at the office said Steve is on a job and will call you by the afternoon.  I never heard back.  I called Friday morning and got their voicemail and left a message.  No call back again.  It is now Tuesday and I gave up and called another plumber.  If they couldn't do the job or didn't want the job a call back would of been professional.

Had a new wall-sleeve AC installed in late May during a mini-heatwave. They showed up within the 2 hour appointment window. Phoned in advance to confirm the address. Rapid, super efficient installation including removing old AC and all related materials. Whole thing was done in half an hour. Polite and pleasant to deal with. Reasonable prices. Will definitely call them again next time I need an AC.

Chris and AJ, and Sal of course, have done extensive plumbing work as part of my renovation of a kitchen and 2 bathrooms in an old building in Manhattan. They had to be creative to solve many of the problems and they were definitely up to the work. The final job they did was to install a Toto Neorest 550H toilet/bidet. They did it well and quickly.  Impressed with the quality of the work.

Great job at very reasonable price.  Fixed a broken condenser and serviced both condensers in 2 hours.  Showed up early to the appointment.  Temperature at the vent went from 70 to 63 degrees prior right before and after service.  Showed up early to the appointment too, and the ability to see the service person enroute is nice.

A pleasure to work with!  Harry understood exactly what I wanted to do in about 5 minutes of me explaining and showing him, quoted me one week to do the job and delivered.  Went above and beyond, look at the wonderful job he did in the pictures attached.  All my neighbors have been complimenting the job and took his contact info as well.  Brightened up the street and breathed new life into the neighborhood. I wish I could give them 10 stars! I had a clogged toilet fiasco and legit thought I was gonna break my arm trying to unclog it. I reached out to them and Samantha was nothing but professional and accommodating. They really came through on a Sunday when everyone else was closed and/or unresponsive. Adonis showed up at scheduled time with his muscle and auger and went to work! Lol Problem solved! I can't recommend them enough.

Michael showed up right away even though it was late in the day. He did a great job, cleared my waste pipe quickly and guaranteed his work. His price was reasonable especially compared to the other quotes. I'll use him again.

I don't know what John D. is talking about; I suppose nobody's perfect.  But I've been using Wellbrock for eight years and they always treat me fairly, are responsive, and do great work.  It's really nice to have a local, reliable plumber--Doug and Co. fit the bill.

Have called Arch Plumbing twice now.  The first time for a major shower repair,; second time a clogged line and leaking pipes in my kitchen.  They spotted the problem(s) quickly, repaired, cleaned up (spotlessly) with extremely reasonable charge.  No recurring problems.

Got the referral from my local plumbing supply store.  Guess that was a good sign.

Had a.really poor experience with ariel. I had a shower body installed by their plumber a year ago to have it fail on me this week. After calling and booking a plumber to come take a look at the issue today I was told the plumber would come this morning. After spending 7 hours at home today and 2 calls I still have no update. Really poor customer service. Where is the proactive follow up? Unreliable

I called Fred Smith plumbing for information on a toilet leak issue. I explained what was happening and (I cant remember his name) the person who answered the phone answered my questions and clarified the issue. I am waiting for my landlord to agree to fix it and I will recommend using this company. Regardless- I was so grateful for the information  so I knew what was going on.

I tried to make an appointment they told me 1230pm I said ok great....its almost 5pm and I have called and left messages and never even received a courtesy call they are running late or not showing up.very unprofessional and wouldn't wish service like this to anyone.

Call these people if you want to get completely ripped off.
My tenant has called Roto Rooter because dishwasher didn't drain water, and the water was leaking.  The fix on the invoice was kitchen sink drain stopper clean.  Three trips.  Replaced the 2 Elbow waste pipe for kitchen.  For this, they have charged her $200 for parts and $732 for labor.  First, an elbow pipe cost $20 max, so that should have been $40 at most.  The job lasted an hour and 20 min, counting the time he had gone to park his car and to retrieve tools, which was treated as three trips on the invoice.  My tenant is a young woman with no knowledge of plumbing and has signed off on this without checking with me first.  When I called them, and spoke with the manager on this blatant abuse of pricing, his response was that this is their price and the tenant was willing to pay this.  Yes, I understand that they are free to quote whatever price they want to, and it was my tenant's own fault to get ripped off for not checking with other companies.  However, it is completely dishonest to take advantage of someone just because they didn't know what the going rate is for the type of service performed.  This job should not have cost more than $400 by a licensed plumber, and I'm counting higher because it is NYC.  For a similar job, I have paid $200 elsewhere.
I'm giving them 1 star because at least, the job was done correctly and the problem is solved. But Roto Rooter is never getting my business again.
