Non responsive and ridiculous- asked for tip for just looking at a toilet and said a person like you with a nice nyc apartment can't tip?
Made me SO uncomfortable.

I don't have enough good words to say how happy and satisfied I am with the work Dorjan and DC Plumbing provided. I had sent out an inquiry to several companies for a busted water tank that was leaking water everywhere and it left me with no hot water. Dorjan responded to my inquiry within minutes and was the only one to ask questions about my tank, size, where leak was, photos, etc. I felt all his questions were very appropriate to diagnose what job needed to be done.

During our encounter I did not feel pressured/forced in any way to have him take on the work which I really appreciated. I also felt that the price he quoted me was fair to other quotes I received. Dorjan was able to come in and compete the job the very next day. Not only was he early, but was able to get the job done in 2 hours from start to finish as promised. Thank you again for having such a great attitude and calmness throughout the whole experience. You helped make this stressful situation bearable. Will definitely be using this company again in the future.

Two gentlemen came to replace my 75 gallon hot water tank with a 50 gallon today (located in a closet on the top floor of my townhouse). Both men wore masks the entire time, which I appreciate very much. The first thing they did was drape my creme carpeted stairs with an anti-slip drop cloth. They completed the job within the estimated timeframe and cleaned up after themselves. The lady who handled the scheduling and billing, as well as all of my questions, was very responsive on the phone, via text and email, and professional. Would definitely recommend them!

Andy's Plumbing & Drain Services were incredible. They will be the only one I call for my plumbing needs in the future. I requested a window AC installation service and received a prompt response within a few hours. Two professionals arrived at the agreed-upon time and took care of everything without my intervention. They removed my old AC unit, installed the new one, and even cleaned up after themselves. The entire process took approximately 30 minutes, and they also took away the old AC unit, relieving me of the responsibility of disposing of it.

Such a great job! Michael installed my whole closet from ikea. Will definitely be reaching out in the future!

I had a sewer pipe that need to be fixed.  Called S&B last Thursday morning and the girl at the office said Steve is on a job and will call you by the afternoon.  I never heard back.  I called Friday morning and got their voicemail and left a message.  No call back again.  It is now Tuesday and I gave up and called another plumber.  If they couldn't do the job or didn't want the job a call back would of been professional.

These guys are great.  They are super responsive and returned my call quickly- could come out the very next day.  I was dying of heat on the hottest day of the year or so it felt, and Joe and Joe (ha, same names) came to change a 220v outlet to 110v.  They worked quickly and efficiently, and I felt safe with them doing the electrical work in the apartment- it was clear they knew what they were doing.
On top of that, they were professional and personable- they installed an air conditioner I purchased from them (reasonably priced), a safety bracket, and the safety screws to keep it in the window without a problem.  It works like a charm.  Would totally recommend their service to anyone looking- and will definitely use them when I move again!

Needed a local plumber to fix a plumbing issue that I had for weeks and found Patriot Plumbing & Heating information online.  Contacted the company and spoke to Lorri who's extremely helpful and informative had provided a quick turnaround scheduled less than 24hours notices and completed the job within the hour.  I highly would recommend to all as I would definitely be utilizing them on all future projects.

We couldn't get our thermostat to work. New batteries, cleaned up the installation area so the wires can connect properly, re-threw the breaker switches. We did everything we would think of. I finally did a quick search on who could come out to look at this issue. This company was the first.

WOW!!! Great repairman, great service, everything was explained over the phone prior to the repairman going to our residence. You have all the details: track the driver, free texts on an ETA and your order info for your records, everything in real time.

We later found out one of the wires broke inside the wall. What a pain...yet was a simple fix. For a generous price and friendly service, we got it installed. No problem! Everything done in about an hour. None of this.. press 1 for this, press 2 for that, oh sorry our repair staff are unavailable until next week. CALL THIS COMPANY!! I needed some additional work done in my basement after I had a back-flow preventer put in, and Harry was the first person I called.  He and his partner completed the job quickly and my basement looks great!  While he was there, he even solved a (completely separate) electrical issue we were having, at no additional cost!  So awesome!

It started w/ a slow leak, which one day turned into a deluge, destroying sheet rock & seriously damaging my newly renovated finished basement bathroom. I reached out to Mike at Magic Drain b/c of the plethora of rave reviews. He lived up to every last one of those 5-stars. Not only did he thoroughly analyze the cause of leak by methodically ruling out potential sources, he thoroughly confirmed his suspicions before repairing offending pipe. He told me what need to be done in advance & provided a fair estimate. He did the work immediately, in an efficient but careful way. Not only is Mike a great plumber, but he's one heck of a nice guy. Who else rushes out to your home to fix a leak at MY earliest convenience??? I had a lecture until 1:30pm & Mike was at my home working by 1:45pm. I'll not only call Magic Drain again, but have already referred Mike to anyone w/ plumbing woes.

Had them install new boiler They put circulator in wrong called 4 times to correct.Has left my basement without heat for 2months. Basement is finished and is my daughters bedroom .Do not  use

Have called Arch Plumbing twice now.  The first time for a major shower repair,; second time a clogged line and leaking pipes in my kitchen.  They spotted the problem(s) quickly, repaired, cleaned up (spotlessly) with extremely reasonable charge.  No recurring problems.

Got the referral from my local plumbing supply store.  Guess that was a good sign.

Had a.really poor experience with ariel. I had a shower body installed by their plumber a year ago to have it fail on me this week. After calling and booking a plumber to come take a look at the issue today I was told the plumber would come this morning. After spending 7 hours at home today and 2 calls I still have no update. Really poor customer service. Where is the proactive follow up? Unreliable

I'm not a licensed plumber, but I had to hire Fred Smith because the work required a shut-off in the whole building. Fred Smith wouldn't come to look at the job without my first coughing up my cc #. I needed a shutoff valve replaced, and was then gouged for parts. They charged me $151 for a shutoff valve. (And $31 for solder.) These prices make the Pentagon's $900 hammer seem like a bargain. They seem to be taking advantage of helpless NYers who don't know about plumbing or what the parts cost.

I called this company and it's a scam. They sent a so called repair person who didn't fix my leaking fridge he just took a blow dryer and melted ice. He came up with so many scenarios and at the end my fridge kept leaking. Their number is a Google number that changes and they told me to make a payment electronically on square space. Also promised me a 6month warranty. Obviously when I called they went MIA.!!!!!! Please do not fall for these scammers. They go by Gotham appliances or K.A.R. Check out the pictures of the repair guy he goes by the name Vicky. Now if they comment they will most likely say we don't know the guy (of course they will)....

Call these people if you want to get completely ripped off.
My tenant has called Roto Rooter because dishwasher didn't drain water, and the water was leaking.  The fix on the invoice was kitchen sink drain stopper clean.  Three trips.  Replaced the 2 Elbow waste pipe for kitchen.  For this, they have charged her $200 for parts and $732 for labor.  First, an elbow pipe cost $20 max, so that should have been $40 at most.  The job lasted an hour and 20 min, counting the time he had gone to park his car and to retrieve tools, which was treated as three trips on the invoice.  My tenant is a young woman with no knowledge of plumbing and has signed off on this without checking with me first.  When I called them, and spoke with the manager on this blatant abuse of pricing, his response was that this is their price and the tenant was willing to pay this.  Yes, I understand that they are free to quote whatever price they want to, and it was my tenant's own fault to get ripped off for not checking with other companies.  However, it is completely dishonest to take advantage of someone just because they didn't know what the going rate is for the type of service performed.  This job should not have cost more than $400 by a licensed plumber, and I'm counting higher because it is NYC.  For a similar job, I have paid $200 elsewhere.
I'm giving them 1 star because at least, the job was done correctly and the problem is solved. But Roto Rooter is never getting my business again.
