Non responsive and ridiculous- asked for tip for just looking at a toilet and said a person like you with a nice nyc apartment can't tip?
Made me SO uncomfortable.

Had a clogged tub and sink that needed to be serviced and Dorjan was very responsive and helpful.  He was able to come same day, fixed both clogs quickly and professionally, also helped fix a corroded pipe that I wasn't aware of.  Highly recommend and would use again.

Andy's Plumbing & Drain Services were incredible. They will be the only one I call for my plumbing needs in the future. Super expensive. They over charge when they see women & were kinda bad at lying about their Base price. The guy was nice other than that

I requested a window AC installation service and received a prompt response within a few hours. Two professionals arrived at the agreed-upon time and took care of everything without my intervention. They removed my old AC unit, installed the new one, and even cleaned up after themselves. The entire process took approximately 30 minutes, and they also took away the old AC unit, relieving me of the responsibility of disposing of it.

I moved into a condo in Williamsburg, that needed a ton of odd-jobs completed. Michael came quickly to my aid, and completed everything from hanging things on walls, to plumbing and electrical issues. He provided his COI to the building, which was required and couldn't be a nicer guy!  I will be calling again for any task!

Really amazing plumber!  I hired them to install a stackable washer & dryer (gas) into a closet to replace my old one that died.  This is a job that The Home Depot's installers decided they didn't want to do after looking at it.  But Steve and his guy both did a great job.  Steve came by to check it out first and make sure the new machines would fit.  He even came over a second time to unhook my old washer & dryer for me the day before installing the new ones.

These are the people to hire if you need a plumbing job done, and done right.  For installation, they might be a little bit more than The Home Depot or whomever arrives from the big box stores, but they are totally worth every penny.  And frankly, the price is very reasonable for the fantastic work done.

If you need air conditioning look no further and let me save you the time and anxiety of trying to find the best.  You have found the best with Brooklyn's Best.  From my first call to them to the last moment of installation, it was smooth sailing.  Joe returns calls promptly.  He gave me great advice on the type and size of unit I needed and I never felt pressured by an intense sales pitch. He is very friendly and funny but consummately professional.  Once we decided on a model and installation date, Joe and his team showed up on time and fully prepared.  I've had air conditioners installed in the past but Joe's work was far superior. He made sure everything fitted properly and sealed tightly.  The result is perfection.  

So, please spare yourself the agony of trying to find the right vendor and choose Brooklyn's Best.  They take the pain out of the process.

Chris and AJ, and Sal of course, have done extensive plumbing work as part of my renovation of a kitchen and 2 bathrooms in an old building in Manhattan. They had to be creative to solve many of the problems and they were definitely up to the work. The final job they did was to install a Toto Neorest 550H toilet/bidet. They did it well and quickly.  Impressed with the quality of the work.

We unfortunate lost our hot water heater Sunday night we were lost on who to call to see what was wrong.  I then thought, well I'm a yelper, yelp. LOL.  I looked at many companies and decided to give Infinite comfort a call Monday morning.  They were able to get a technician to my house after only a couple of hours of calling.  Fabio Dasilva showed up and was very informative and was able to pinpoint the issue.  He also was realistic and told us that the heater was way past its life expectancy and we should think about a replacement.  Did not force a sale or anything but did give us a quote for a replacement.  The next day we decided to call back and just replace the system to avoid going through this again.  They came in the next day, replaced the system and took care of all necessary permits.  I would recommend INFINITE COMFORT to anyone!!! Thank you so much.

I needed some additional work done in my basement after I had a back-flow preventer put in, and Harry was the first person I called.  He and his partner completed the job quickly and my basement looks great!  While he was there, he even solved a (completely separate) electrical issue we were having, at no additional cost!  So awesome!

Adonis and the team at Premium Sewer and Drain were so efficient, both in their communication leading up to it and the actual repair.  I'm so glad I hired them and will definitely call again next time I need some plumbing done.

I used Magic Drain for a major clog in my toilet.  Unfortunately my 2 yr old unloaded a box of crayons and tried to unsuccessfully flush it.  This resulted in the toilet to overflow.

It was late Friday evening and I reached out to a number of vendors via Yelp.  Mike from Magic Drain responded within moments.  Fortunately the water receded and thought it would be best to have Mike stop by the following morning.

He did a great job.  He had to remove the toilet and dig out all of the crayons.  Was a tedious job but Mike was thorough.  He fixed the issue.  I also asked if he could remove my garbage disposal while he was here and he did.  Sounds easy but it involved repiping.  Mike had all the parts he needed and got that job done as well.  

I would not only recommend Mike going forward, but I will certainly be a repeating customer.  He is very professional, prompt, and does great work.  A strong recommend!!!

I don't know what John D. is talking about; I suppose nobody's perfect.  But I've been using Wellbrock for eight years and they always treat me fairly, are responsive, and do great work.  It's really nice to have a local, reliable plumber--Doug and Co. fit the bill.

Have called Arch Plumbing twice now.  The first time for a major shower repair,; second time a clogged line and leaking pipes in my kitchen.  They spotted the problem(s) quickly, repaired, cleaned up (spotlessly) with extremely reasonable charge.  No recurring problems.

Got the referral from my local plumbing supply store.  Guess that was a good sign.

I couldn't agree with David A more. Totally rude on the phone--answer the phone with a simple Good morning, and then when I ask, Uh, is this Ariel Plumbing? they got all snippy and acted like it was the dumbest thing I could possibly have asked.

But I was willing to overlook because they said they'd be there to do the job within 45 minutes. 2 hours went by. I called. They said they'd page the plumber and he'd be over ASAP.

Another hour. Another call. Another promise.

Another hour. Another call. Another promise.

Yet another hour. Yet another call. Yet another promise.

And still another hour. And still another call. And this time, I was told that, unfortunately, they'd have to reschedule for the following day.

And then they never showed up at the appointed time. So I cancelled, much to their chagrin.

I had no idea finding a decent trustworthy plumber was so difficult in this city. This is NOT the place to start. I think Vermont P. is a fake and works for the company and put up a fake review.

I don't buy it. You shouldn't either.

Our experience is that these guys churn. Rather than fixing little problems, they conclude that systems are broken and require extensive repairs. Further, it seems to me that they always round up their time charges to increase the bill. I suspect, but can't prove, that they created additional leaks when called to fix a small leak. Avoid these guys.

I called this company and it's a scam. They sent a so called repair person who didn't fix my leaking fridge he just took a blow dryer and melted ice. He came up with so many scenarios and at the end my fridge kept leaking. Their number is a Google number that changes and they told me to make a payment electronically on square space. Also promised me a 6month warranty. Obviously when I called they went MIA.!!!!!! Please do not fall for these scammers. They go by Gotham appliances or K.A.R. Check out the pictures of the repair guy he goes by the name Vicky. Now if they comment they will most likely say we don't know the guy (of course they will)....

Call these people if you want to get completely ripped off.
My tenant has called Roto Rooter because dishwasher didn't drain water, and the water was leaking.  The fix on the invoice was kitchen sink drain stopper clean.  Three trips.  Replaced the 2 Elbow waste pipe for kitchen.  For this, they have charged her $200 for parts and $732 for labor.  First, an elbow pipe cost $20 max, so that should have been $40 at most.  The job lasted an hour and 20 min, counting the time he had gone to park his car and to retrieve tools, which was treated as three trips on the invoice.  My tenant is a young woman with no knowledge of plumbing and has signed off on this without checking with me first.  When I called them, and spoke with the manager on this blatant abuse of pricing, his response was that this is their price and the tenant was willing to pay this.  Yes, I understand that they are free to quote whatever price they want to, and it was my tenant's own fault to get ripped off for not checking with other companies.  However, it is completely dishonest to take advantage of someone just because they didn't know what the going rate is for the type of service performed.  This job should not have cost more than $400 by a licensed plumber, and I'm counting higher because it is NYC.  For a similar job, I have paid $200 elsewhere.
I'm giving them 1 star because at least, the job was done correctly and the problem is solved. But Roto Rooter is never getting my business again.
