A1 Construction Plumbing Service
Our circuit breaker kept tripping frequently and we needed our Ac's on as well as our other electrical appliances so it wasn't really an option turning certain things items off at a time. However, Peter came up with a simple solution and solved it really quick. There hasn't been a single problem since! I highly recommend him for any electrical problems.

DC Piping & Heating Corp Plumbing Service
Sloppy, inexperienced, underprepared. Needs better & clearer communication with clients.

I reached out to Dorjan yesterday AM about a toilet leak with details of my issue (water dripping into my neighbors ceiling downstairs at night while I heard water dripping but saw no visible signs of a leak). He was prompt in the reply which is how he got my business. He diagnosed it as a broken drain pipe & flange underneath the toilet and said he may need to cut into my neighbor's ceiling in order to replace the piping which would leave a 2x2 hole in their ceiling! Needless to say, I emphasized to him to please try to fix the issue from my unit.

He arrived on time/early and got to work. I wish there was better communication or he showed me what the issue was when he opened things up because the only time he pulled me in was to mention another problem, a leaking valve and asked if I wanted to fix it. I was working from home and in the middle of meetings so I just said yes, go ahead and fix it. I have no idea if the leaking valve was actually leaking and when he showed me the drain pipe afterwards, I could not tell if it was broken on purpose because the crack seemed almost too large and manmade to my untrained eye. Regardless, he did fix what he said he would and replaced the drain pipe, flange, and valve. He called in an assistant to bring the valve part and they worked together.

Here's where it starts to go south. When he put the old toilet back, he stuck a chopstick I had been using to try and keep the pump from filling the tank into the pump slot and said the toilet was too broken and needed to be replaced. I agreed with him that the flap in the tank needed to be replaced (a cheap rubber item you can get at any hardware store) but the pump was highly suspicious - how could a plumber stick a chopstick in there and pretend that's how it worked when the actual pump mechanism was right next to it? However, I knew the toilet was old and thought, why not do it all in one go since my floor was broken up already and the toilet was on its last legs. We made plans for him to return the next day to install the new toilet. After he left, I stuck the pump back into its proper place and lo and behold it worked. I should've seen that as a red flag and not asked him to return but my old toilet was left unhooked and on a hole in the floor.

An hour later, he called me from the plumbing supply store and said my one option was a Delta toilet for $385. I kept pressing for more details, what model number, what functions and features, how water efficient is it? And he seemed not to understand that I wanted any info on this toilet beyond the price. Frustrated that we couldn't understand each other, I told him there was a Home Depot a few minutes away from me and I would be way more comfortable buying something when I knew what I was getting. He said he would go there and get the toilet and finish everything for the night so he wouldn't have to come back. I understood that, it was snowy and cold but this is not what we planned for just an hour earlier. Nonetheless, off he went to Home Depot and once again, only listing prices to me for the toilets, not anything about the features and functions. Luckily I had the website open to try and find some info and made a choice on the spot.

Half an hour later, he was back to install the toilet. I noticed it was the elongated bowl model, not something I had asked for and again, if he would've answered my function/feature questions, I could've said no to. He had bought it and come all this way so once again I thought, well let's keep going. The issues keep mounting as the install went on: I had a bidet attached to my old toilet and he said he would move it to my new toilet. Instead of asking for directions or help to unmount the bidet, he ripped it from the old toilet and thus destroyed the bolts and mounting mechanism. The tiles he broke to get at the pipe underneath were thrown out. There is a gaping hole of wet wood where those tiles were. I repeatedly asked him how someone could retile without moving the toilet. He assured me it was fine and that he would caulk on the existing tile. He did neither and now I will need to move the toilet to re-tile the hole in the floor. The tank is loose and jiggling on top of said hole and I had to buy new parts to mount the bidet myself.

At this point, it's an hour into what he said would be a 30 min install and I need to hop on a meeting. My husband takes over and was forced to help Dorjan take the old toilet downstairs, lifting it above his head to prevent the dirty water in it from splashing onto him. What would Dorjan had done if it was just me? Left the old toilet for me to remove on my own? Dorjan was also going to leave the toilet on the curb which my husband had to argue with him about. Thus, after spending $1200+ and all day on this, I still don't have a working toilet and have so much work ahead of me to get my bathroom back in order.

Continental Plumbers Plumbing Service
I've lived in Union for almost 2 years now and I've been trying to find reliable companies for my home needs and Continental Plumbers is one of them. I've now used them a few times and they NEVER disappoint! When I call they are always very polite and actually seem to care about whatever issue I'm having. Every time I'm given a window for them to show up they are always on time. Also, the windows to arrive are reasonable, NOT like Hey someone will get to your home between 8AM - 4PM  The plumbers are always polite, know what they are doing, give great and honest suggestions and clean up when the job is complete. The last time they were here they vacuumed the area they were working in LOLOL. That was great and appreciated. Now that I have a plumbing company I can count on I just need to find a reliable landscaper, Sprinkler company and General contractor LOL! Continental is the BEST and as long as I'm a Union resident I won't be using anyone else! Thank you Continental!

Andys Plumbing & Drain Services Plumbing Service
Great work from this company. I was very worried at the amount of work that would need to be done to my bathtub. The pipe under my bathtub was completely rotted. Dwight was on time and ready for the task. Very professional and knew what he was doing. Now I can take a shower in my apartment due to his work. Highly recommend this company!

All Day Plumbing & Heating Corp Plumbing Service
Two workers came to install a kitchen hood. I was told they would come with Covid precautions. They came without masks and just walked in without wiping their feet outside. I had to give them masks. They couldn't install the hard because of an exhaust fan, which would prevent it from being installed. When I asked them If they could remove the fan, they said no it will leave a hole. I have to get a remodel to install my kitchen hood and remove the fan.

S & B Plumbing Plumbing Service
I had a leaky in my ceiling and called S & B and received a speedy response. Steve was able to come the next day and ascertain that the leak was not a plumbing,  but rather, caulking problem. He was so kind and honest. I will definitely call them next time I have any plumbing related issues!!

Brooklyn's Best AC Plumbing Service
I had a great experience with them earlier this summer when it was 100 degrees and my AC broke! I reached out to them on Sunday night and they came the very next day, bringing a new AC with them (carrying it up to my 4th floor walk up), quickly installing the AC, and carrying out my old one. They also put in foam around the AC so I could leave it in in the wintertime. I felt totally taken care of, and they were in and out in 20 minutes. I would definitely use them again!

Patriot Plumbing & Heating Plumbing Service
Chris and AJ, and Sal of course, have done extensive plumbing work as part of my renovation of a kitchen and 2 bathrooms in an old building in Manhattan. They had to be creative to solve many of the problems and they were definitely up to the work. The final job they did was to install a Toto Neorest 550H toilet/bidet. They did it well and quickly.  Impressed with the quality of the work.

Infinite Comfort Heating, Cooling, & Drain Cleaning Plumbing Service
Called Infinite Comfort to get a diagnostic on a home HVAC issue.  Fabio was absolutely patient and thorough in his diagnostics.  However, there was absolutely no follow through - He was suppose to get back to me in a week, nothing.  I called back in 2 weeks, they apologized and said will follow up ASAP.  Still no follow up.

Great attitude during diagnostic phase, zero follow through or results.  Waste of my time unfortunately.

They were fair on price. They repaired my broken wall panel and it looks so good you can't even tell it was broken. They were on time for the appointment and cleaned up after the work was done. I highly recommend them for any home repair.

R.J. Wellbrock Plumbing & Heating Plumbing Service
My entire family lives in the neighborhood and has been using RJ Wellbrock Plumbing for years.  We trust them completely and know we are being taken care of and will receive the best service. I recently purchased an apartment and the fixtures that were in the bathroom tub from the previous owner were a nightmare - outdated, and constantly leaking to the point where it was damaging the tub. Doug and his team were able to locate the hardware needed to replace everything and fix the leak - it works perfectly and looks brand new!  So happy I reached out to them for this and would highly recommend them to anyone.

Arch Plumbing & Heating Corp Plumbing Service
Have called Arch Plumbing twice now.  The first time for a major shower repair,; second time a clogged line and leaking pipes in my kitchen.  They spotted the problem(s) quickly, repaired, cleaned up (spotlessly) with extremely reasonable charge.  No recurring problems.

Got the referral from my local plumbing supply store.  Guess that was a good sign.

Ariel Services Plumbing Service
Wanted to share the pleasant experience I had today, using Ariel Quality Plumbing.
4th of July, when no one else is working, my bath tub and toilet got badly clogged. I called and much to my surprise, Ariel Quality Plumbing were at my door 45 minutes later.
The plumber was really nice and worked hard to clear the stoppage. I was expecting to get hit with the charge because of the holiday but he told me that they charge the same all year round.
Over all, very good plumbing and customer service. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Preston Kraus Plumbing Service
Our experience is that these guys churn. Rather than fixing little problems, they conclude that systems are broken and require extensive repairs. Further, it seems to me that they always round up their time charges to increase the bill. I suspect, but can't prove, that they created additional leaks when called to fix a small leak. Avoid these guys.

Gotham Appliance Repair & Service Plumbing Service
I called this company and it's a scam. They sent a so called repair person who didn't fix my leaking fridge he just took a blow dryer and melted ice. He came up with so many scenarios and at the end my fridge kept leaking. Their number is a Google number that changes and they told me to make a payment electronically on square space. Also promised me a 6month warranty. Obviously when I called they went MIA.!!!!!! Please do not fall for these scammers. They go by Gotham appliances or K.A.R. Check out the pictures of the repair guy he goes by the name Vicky. Now if they comment they will most likely say we don't know the guy (of course they will)....

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup Plumbing Service
Call these people if you want to get completely ripped off.
My tenant has called Roto Rooter because dishwasher didn't drain water, and the water was leaking.  The fix on the invoice was kitchen sink drain stopper clean.  Three trips.  Replaced the 2 Elbow waste pipe for kitchen.  For this, they have charged her $200 for parts and $732 for labor.  First, an elbow pipe cost $20 max, so that should have been $40 at most.  The job lasted an hour and 20 min, counting the time he had gone to park his car and to retrieve tools, which was treated as three trips on the invoice.  My tenant is a young woman with no knowledge of plumbing and has signed off on this without checking with me first.  When I called them, and spoke with the manager on this blatant abuse of pricing, his response was that this is their price and the tenant was willing to pay this.  Yes, I understand that they are free to quote whatever price they want to, and it was my tenant's own fault to get ripped off for not checking with other companies.  However, it is completely dishonest to take advantage of someone just because they didn't know what the going rate is for the type of service performed.  This job should not have cost more than $400 by a licensed plumber, and I'm counting higher because it is NYC.  For a similar job, I have paid $200 elsewhere.
I'm giving them 1 star because at least, the job was done correctly and the problem is solved. But Roto Rooter is never getting my business again.
