Peter was amazing! I reached out late one night, heard back within 30 mins, and he was here the next afternoon to do the work. Will definitely be reaching out again for any jobs around the house!

Dorjan was awesome! He was so fast to response and extremely knowledgeable. He was flexible and helpful as I was not 100% how to explain our bath/shower issue. When he arrived he assessed the issue and came up with a plan to fix it. We will definitely reach out to him again if we need anything and have already shared his name with a friend.

Third time using Continental Plumbing and Heating and it doesn't get any better. They replaced a steam boiler and their skilled level is unbelievable. The Inspecter from Newark even commented how well they did installing the boiler. They are professional throughout the entire process and always dependable. Edmundo and Mercedes are fantastic to work with. Always respectful, fair with their pricing and their crew have great pride in their work. Thanks Again Continental Plumbing and Heating !

Great work from this company. I was very worried at the amount of work that would need to be done to my bathtub. The pipe under my bathtub was completely rotted. Dwight was on time and ready for the task. Very professional and knew what he was doing. Now I can take a shower in my apartment due to his work. Highly recommend this company!

I was super impressed by Matt, the scheduler, and Kelsey, the plumber. Matt handled my Yelp's text and call inquiries with professionalism and acute responsiveness. Kelcey showed up on time and was equally professional and courteous. He installed two faucets and checked all the water connections for me at my house for very reasonable prices. I'd like to thank them for coming all the way to Greenwich from Queens, NY and arrived promptly. I will definitely use them again.

I requested a window AC installation service and received a prompt response within a few hours. Two professionals arrived at the agreed-upon time and took care of everything without my intervention. They removed my old AC unit, installed the new one, and even cleaned up after themselves. The entire process took approximately 30 minutes, and they also took away the old AC unit, relieving me of the responsibility of disposing of it.

Great job hanging a mirror on my brick wall!!! Michael was super professional, with lots of experience. Really appreciate his attention to detail and dedication to making sure I was satisfied with the tilt of the mirror.

I've used Steve at S&B many times over the years, lots of great work by a great guy. Reliable, honest, can't say enough about them. Highly recommended.

Brooklyn's Best really is just that. Responsive to my messages via Yelp, quickly arranged a technician visit, identified the problem and resolved the issue quickly. Not only that, when I had concerns at 8pm on a Wednesday the next week, they responded that very night and scheduled a technician follow-up visit that very next morning at 8am. That is amazing service, and all were friendly, calm, and helpful. I highly recommend this company thanks to great service and professionalism.

No show, and no response.
The last thing you want to do to keep a good reputation. Luckily found someone else who took on a job.
Lady on the phone, Lory, is a bit rude, wont respond.

We unfortunate lost our hot water heater Sunday night we were lost on who to call to see what was wrong. I then thought, well I'm a yelper, yelp. LOL. I looked at many companies and decided to give Infinite comfort a call Monday morning. They were able to get a technician to my house after only a couple of hours of calling. Fabio Dasilva showed up and was very informative and was able to pinpoint the issue. He also was realistic and told us that the heater was way past its life expectancy and we should think about a replacement. Did not force a sale or anything but did give us a quote for a replacement. The next day we decided to call back and just replace the system to avoid going through this again. They came in the next day, replaced the system and took care of all necessary permits. I would recommend INFINITE COMFORT to anyone!!! Thank you so much.

I closed on a home in March. Two months later, my homeowners insurance company sent me a cancellation later because the former owners had an illegal treehouse on the premises. Panicked, I looked here to yelp! and found Harry's, who was both local and had great reviews.
I submitted an email with the issue of needing this treehouse demolished ASAP and the first thing in the morning, Arianna called me (who, by the way was FANTASTIC in preparing written estimates, costs, anything my insurance company asked for credential wise).
She told me they could start demolition that day, and they would only need a day to complete this. I called her the next day to give her the OK on the project, and she told me workers would be there around 12 and would finish by the time I got home at 2:30. During the work, they even stopped to call and asked if I wanted to keep a child's table and chairs the found in the treehouse!
Needless to say, as I was walking down the block, they were loading the last bit of my now demolished tree house in their truck. I went to look at where the work was done, accompanied by them, and everything was neat, clean...no evidence there was ever a treehouse there!
Very professional, very polite...very reasonably priced...a fellow on the job did not even want to accept a tip offered by me! They saved me SO MUCH stress, were very accomodating...a dream job come true...as they were there when I was at work, and by the time I came home, they were done and I could just relax.
I would not hesitate to recommend Harry's to anyone, and will use them again when my next catastrophe occurs!

I have had Mike over several times to fix plumbing issues in my home and have always been really happy with his service. First, he's always quick to respond when contacted. Second, he always comes on time. Finally, he does great work, is very friendly and professional and he's very reasonable with his pricing. I highly recommend him.

The best! Rates are a little on the high side but certainly worth it when you consider the quality. The two plumbers who showed up were clean, careful, pleasant and professional which is important as you are letting them into your house. I would not hesitate to recommend them for any plumbing needs you have.

Have called Arch Plumbing twice now. The first time for a major shower repair,; second time a clogged line and leaking pipes in my kitchen. They spotted the problem(s) quickly, repaired, cleaned up (spotlessly) with extremely reasonable charge. No recurring problems.
Got the referral from my local plumbing supply store. Guess that was a good sign.

Great service. Quick fix and friendly. Had to wait a few hours for them to turn up (thus the 4-stars) but otherwise great and I didn't feel too ripped off, as I have in the past when using emergency plumbers.

UPDATE 10/27/2017 - It's not an anomaly. I've used them 3 times now (moved into old apt...everything has now been replaced or repaired)...and each time they have been professional and responsive. I just got off the phone with the owner...no, it's not Fred...it's Phil...to thank him for a great team. They are no fly by night. They have over 80 plumbers they dispatch every day and a team inside who help their field guys find and get the right part to you (HUGE - knowing that most of these old apt's have nothing but expired, hard to find parts everywhere). I can't tell you how much I appreciate knowing I have these in the hood when I need plumbing help. Thanks Phil...and Mike...and Steve...and Gustavo!
Original post: Wow! I was surprised to see how few stars these guys had when I logged on to type this...because I just had a GREAT experience. I just called Fred Smith at the recommendation of the concierge of our building (Astor Terrace) as I'm new to the neighborhood. They gave me a simple hourly quote and were available within a couple days, which was required to schedule an entire part of the building water shut off for the work. My only complaint was that they were 2 hrs late to the job without a call that they'd be late...and I had to call them twice. BUT, once Mike got here...he was great. He coordinated (and directed) the building maintenance guys telling them what to do and when (Mike was very professional and knowledgeable regarding exactly what needed to be done...more than the building guys). The job involved replacing 3 master valves and replacing a complex kitchen faucet and shower cartridge (mechanism controlling water flow). He did this all in less than 2 hours. PERFECT. I would call them back in a minute and highly recommend them (at least Mike, for sure).

I called this company and it's a scam. They sent a so called repair person who didn't fix my leaking fridge he just took a blow dryer and melted ice. He came up with so many scenarios and at the end my fridge kept leaking. Their number is a Google number that changes and they told me to make a payment electronically on square space. Also promised me a 6month warranty. Obviously when I called they went MIA.!!!!!! Please do not fall for these scammers. They go by Gotham appliances or K.A.R. Check out the pictures of the repair guy he goes by the name Vicky. Now if they comment they will most likely say we don't know the guy (of course they will)....

Call these people if you want to get completely ripped off.
My tenant has called Roto Rooter because dishwasher didn't drain water, and the water was leaking. The fix on the invoice was kitchen sink drain stopper clean. Three trips. Replaced the 2 Elbow waste pipe for kitchen. For this, they have charged her $200 for parts and $732 for labor. First, an elbow pipe cost $20 max, so that should have been $40 at most. The job lasted an hour and 20 min, counting the time he had gone to park his car and to retrieve tools, which was treated as three trips on the invoice. My tenant is a young woman with no knowledge of plumbing and has signed off on this without checking with me first. When I called them, and spoke with the manager on this blatant abuse of pricing, his response was that this is their price and the tenant was willing to pay this. Yes, I understand that they are free to quote whatever price they want to, and it was my tenant's own fault to get ripped off for not checking with other companies. However, it is completely dishonest to take advantage of someone just because they didn't know what the going rate is for the type of service performed. This job should not have cost more than $400 by a licensed plumber, and I'm counting higher because it is NYC. For a similar job, I have paid $200 elsewhere.
I'm giving them 1 star because at least, the job was done correctly and the problem is solved. But Roto Rooter is never getting my business again.
