I hired Main Man to do a broken sewer line. They gave me a reasonable price $12,000 total. They charged me a deposit of 50% of the cost which is about $6,000. When they attempted to do the work. They came without any permits. They got kicked off from the work by the Dept of Building and Dept of Transportation. Main Man said that they don't wanted to do the job anymore. They cashed my deposit into their account and they refused to give me back my deposit of $6,000. I will have to go hire a lawyer to sue them. I advice you to stay away from Main Man. They are scam. Do not trust them.

Akeim is professional, knowledgeable and efficient.  When the kitchen faucet in my tenant apartment broke, from the pictures of the damage he was able to assess quickly that I needed to do a replacement instead of a repair and advised objectively on the type of faucet I should get.  Once obtained, he installed it quickly for a reasonable price.  I was very pleased with his work and look forward to working with him on future projects.

I first started using Robert from a recommendation from my management company. He has been prompt and very professional the two times I've had to call him. The first was for a noisy heating pipe that he was able to fix that two other companies were unable to. He also repaired my heating system and the final price was half of his original quote. It's hard to find a reliable/honest plumber and I would recommend Robert and Star Cities plumbing.

Very happy with this plumbing company! My boyfriend accidentally drilled into a pipe while hanging something on the bathroom wall - hot water shooting everywhere...Luckily, I was able to turn off the hot water heater and stop the flow. I called Eddie at Recommended Plumbing at 8 AM this morning (Monday) and left a message. He called back about 20 minutes later and was able to send two of his guys to the apartment in less than an hour and a half. They performed a simple repair and were done in less than 20 minutes. The price was extremely reasonable to boot - I will be keeping their number on hand for the future!

They did the job quickly,  efficiently and professionally.  They communicated and explained everything that need to be done. I especially liked that Mike was respectful and wore a mask when speaking with my family.  I highly recommend Austin Plumbing and Heating.

I'm always a little leery when a check out contractors and just see 5 star reviews.  Well, with Platinum Plumbing, don't be.  I noticed my 15 year water heater was showing corrosion and rust stains on the tank.  So, I started calling plumbing outfits.  First one I called, I spoke to someone who said they would call back by the end of the day.  They did not return the call.  Next day, I called a larger outfit, woman seemed overwhelmed, as I could hear phones ringing in background.  She gave me a rough estimate, and then said earliest appointment would be mid July.  I then called Platinum.  James returned my call within the hour.  He took my info and called back in 10 minutes later to give give estimate and choice of water heaters.  He was able to fit me the next day in the afternoon.  Job went smoothly, as he and his partner Pete were done within two hours.  The price was reasonable, they left the place spotless, and carted off the old heater. To boot, they are genuinely both nice guys, who took time to explain water heater options and answer all my questions,   I would without a doubt recommend them for water heater replacement.

Extremely flexible to our schedule, came out on a Saturday morning.  Quickly repaired shower and reasonable cost. Will use this company again!

After a different plumbing company couldn't unclog my kitchen sink, they referred me to Downtown Plumbing. Now, that in itself means a lot--a plumbing company that is recommended by other plumbers!

These guys really came through for me. They were able to provide same day service at a reasonable rate. Willie and Antonio were prompt and friendly. They had all the tools and parts ready to go in their truck, so they were well prepared for any possible scenario. Most importantly, Willie remained calm, collected, and confident throughout. He assured me that he would troubleshoot any problem until it was fixed and I was satisfied.

If I need a plumber again, I'll be calling Downtown Plumbing!

While there are undoubtedly many plumbers in the NY area who have the technical ability to do a job well, what's much harder to find is someone who can both do a job well and whose judgement can be fully trusted.

The guy showed up without tools.. and after waisting 1.5 h of my time, he said that he didn't find any leak and wanted me to sign a waiver... the worst experience ever.. don't use them

Samir was great to work with. We needed to make space in our kitchen for a dishwasher installation (which included putting a new outlet in and taking out some cabinets). Samir was super responsive and easy to work with. Scheduling was a breeze and he came and did the job in an afternoon. The price for the job was really fair and better than all of the other quotes we got. Samir is also a really nice guy. I couldn't recommend him highly enough and we are very happy with our new dishwasher!

I needed the boiler repaired because it just started getting cold.  I called to ask about how much they charge and they said it was $125/hr...fine so they came took an hour and the bill was over $270! I appreciated it that they came right away --the boiler wasn't broken..it was clogged...so no parts were needed--so why the large bill?  Because they charge travel time! They never mentioned that when I asked about the cost..funny how that works....I think I'm going back to school to study plumbing because that's where the moneys at!  They should really think about changing their ways because next time anyone in building needs something..they won't be on the top of my list...--but they did fix my problem and came on same day so I'm glad about that-please guys just tell people what it's really going to cost.

Very proffesional and was half the price of every other company  I called,  They came and took care of the backflow device the same day i called them and took care of all the paperwork as well.

Very friendly plumber, helped me with an outside faucet that had burst inside the wall took him about 15m to fix.

I called Urgent Drain about a downspout underground drain that got clogged. Robert and his tech arrived on time, were very patient with explaining what they're doing and answering all my questions. They un-clogged the drain, provided a good advice on how to prevent or at least lower the chances for a future clogs and the price, which was very good, was exactly as discussed over the phone.

Thank God for Mike!
He showed up on time, went right to work and knew immediately what was wrong. He found a clogged trap that had never been cleaned in the 30 years we've lived here.
We didn't even know it existed, no other plumber over the years had ever found it.

The plumber I received was extremely and unreasonably rude. Thought I should write a review about it. Tells me that he knows what he is doing and he in fact, did not. I needed 1 part replaced but he acted like it was life or death. I wouldn't use their service ever if I were you.
