I had spoken with 8 plumbers who only cared to come in for a fat paycheck before even trying to understand my issue, which was never solved by any of them.  The stress and frustration of not having a reasonable person to communicate with was inexplicable.  I never imagined how difficult it is to find a plumber who cares to solve a problem.    
Then comes in Scott.  What a professional, and good person!  He's a smart dude. He took the time to listen and to contemplate the issue.  There were very expensive solutions to the problem but he kindly offered a sensible alternative for a fraction of the price.  He even came back here after all was done to follow up and to see if I was happy.  A real stand-up guy!  
Upon seeing other, smaller things, that could be taken care of while he was here, he fixed those and didn't ask for extra money.

Akeim is professional, knowledgeable and efficient.  When the kitchen faucet in my tenant apartment broke, from the pictures of the damage he was able to assess quickly that I needed to do a replacement instead of a repair and advised objectively on the type of faucet I should get.  Once obtained, he installed it quickly for a reasonable price.  I was very pleased with his work and look forward to working with him on future projects.

My call was taken right away and he called me back immediately.  He couldn't come that day but arranged to come the next.  He arrived on time.  He had to snake out the pipe leading into the wall.  He was highly competent and professional but $290 for about  1/2 hour's labor and no parts seemed on the high side.

Eddie and his team were excellent: prompt, professional, and knowledgeable!

Despite it being New Year's Day when I contacted Eddie, he responded in less than an hour and came out the next day to diagnose our problem (dead water heater). Since we opted to use him for the repair, Eddie did not charge us for the diagnostic fee. He is knowledgeable about the different water heater brands, and I feel confident with the product he recommended and installed.

For both the diagnostic visit and the repair, Eddie kept me updated via text on his estimated arrival time and was always punctual. The team installed the new water heater very quickly. The price was quoted up front, and there were no surprises when the work was completed.

In terms of COVID precautions - the team wore masks and gloves while they were in my apartment.

Mike from Austin Plumbing is great! called him at 8AM showed up promptly to help fix my heating pipe leak on a Sunday. Very detail oriented and made sure everything is okay. He seems very knowledgeable. Will definitely call him again for future plumbing needs. 5 stars

After reading all the positive reviews I decided to call platinum for an estimate on a plumbing job in my home. Very happy with the professional job they've done ! These guys are great. Had a major toilet issue that they dealt with immediately even though it turned into a lengthy nightmare. Super nice and helpful!

I rarely leave reviews, yet I felt it important in this case so people get a balanced opinion. I hired Colin Lee for a plumbing job based solely on his 5 star reviews. I was extremely disappointed. I hired him to evaluate my kitchen drain as it was draining slowly. As reviews indicated, he is personable and wore shoe covers into my apartment, so I was already sold. He looked at my kitchen and bathroom sinks and snaked a small portion of the drain under my sink. When he did not clear the obstruction, he told me the blockage was well distant to my apartment (I live on the second floor of an old Brownstone). He said the problem was likely in the walls below my apartment or in the basement. As this was a job beyond his scope, he said I would need a larger plumbing company. He charged me $50 for his time and went on his way. I understood and initially thought this all seemed reasonable.

I then called a different plumber, who came the next day. I told the second plumber what Colin had said. The new plumber was certain it needed to be snaked and that Colin had not done an adequate job. The second plumber spent about an hour and thoroughly snaked my kitchen pipes. He cleared the obstruction and the water drains perfectly.

I then contacted Colin and let him know that my pipes just needed additional snaking and were now fine. I was hoping he would do the right thing and at least return my $50. Instead, he stuck to his original explanation. He said From my experience it seems like the issue I explained, and in my experience the issue generally returns in a week or 2 even if you think the clog is gone. It has been two weeks and my sink drains beautifully.

I assume Colin is OK for very simple jobs.....although, by plumbing standards, my job was relatively simple. If you have any job that is remotely complicated, look elsewhere.

We had an incredibly positive experience with Blaustein Plumbing. We have custom, European plumbing fixtures (installed by previous owners) that are so specialized many plumbers don't understand how to fix them. I was recommended Blaustein Plumbing by a Plumbing and Hardware store that sells the specialized parts we needed. They charged a VERY reasonable (relatively speaking) flat fee per hour and are far more experienced and knowledgeable compared to other plumbers I've worked with. They're also super courteous, in addition to the mask, they put booties on before entering the apartment, gave me advice on how my building's super could fix certain items or issues (so I wouldn't have to spend the money calling a plumber). It was a very positive experience and I would highly recommend this plumber.

I have been having a lot of trouble finding a reliable plumber / construction repairman.  Today I lucked out.  S & A Quality Pro Services did a fantastic job.  He showed up on time, did thorough and accurate work, replacing a bathroom faucet and fixing a major hole in the drywall.  I certainly will be calling him again for the many jobs in the building.  I highly recommend him.

I would absolutely recommend Irwin Friedman &Son! This is the 3rd time I have used them and as always a Job well done. My kitchen sinks pipe needed replacing and my toilet needed a new part and Brandon was fast, friendly and very professional. Thank you again for getting my daily life back to normal!

There customer service is great, everyone is friendly. I would recommend this spot to any one in need of plumbing supplies. I was also told they sell Girl Scout Cookies so I had stopped by to buy some and it was very heart warming to see how the father was supporting his daughter.

I contacted Rasco Plumbing and Heating to get a quote on fitting my house with central air. They charged me $49 to attend (which I was happy to pay) and told me I would receive the quote within two days. After a week of not hearing from them I rang their office and got an answering service and left a message. I left a message the following day too. I still have not received a call back.

Response to my message via Yelp was no more than 15 minutes and was answered by the actual drain specialist/company owner. He gave me a quote to open a cometely clogged sink drain and we set up a same day time slot. It wound up that he finished a previous job earlier than expected and offered to come earlier. Of course I took the offer.

Upon meeting Rob G in person, he was very cordial, clean, professional and took care of my clogged sink drain in less than 30 minutes. He made sure the drain was clear and fully operational and offered to call him back as a guarantee should there be any issue afterwards. Price was as quoted - NO bait and switch.

I found Rob G to be very respectful, honest, and cares about his business/profession/work. You will see this from interacting with him but the proof is in his truck with how meticulously organized and clean it was. I am very happy to have hired him for the job and I highly recommend Urgent Drain for you DRAIN needs as this is their specialty.

We called cheap John's and Eric showed up on time and got the job done quickly and Profesional... We will definaly refer this company to our friends and family... We will give you 10 starts if we could.
