i hired Main Man Plumbing last October as i was having major water main problems.  I had 4 other companies come over and do estimates.  The salesman from Main Man was the only one of the 5 companies that i trusted from the first minute i met him. He didn't try to OVERSELL me and came across down to earth, just wanted to explain what had to be done and made it simple so i understood.  He was reasonably priced as well.  The job went exactly as planned, perfectly done. The 4 guys who worked on the job were professionals, very safety conscious and did a great job cleaning up and laying the cement afterwards.  I can truly say i would recommend Main Man Plumbing to anyone who has sewer or water main problems. 5 stars!   I've been thru hell with other contractors thru the years but this was a winning team!

I had a leak in the basement from a broken pipe. Responded quickly to request for a quote. Showed up and did a great job for a fair price. Highly recommend to anyone in need of plumbing service

Unreliable!!! Made an 9-10 am appointment almost a week in advance by phone and stayed home from work to wait for them. Started leaving messages at 10 am to if the plumber was coming.... 15 phone calls/messages/emails and 6 hours later I finally gave up. Never heard a word from them.

Eddie and his team were excellent: prompt, professional, and knowledgeable!

Despite it being New Year's Day when I contacted Eddie, he responded in less than an hour and came out the next day to diagnose our problem (dead water heater). Since we opted to use him for the repair, Eddie did not charge us for the diagnostic fee. He is knowledgeable about the different water heater brands, and I feel confident with the product he recommended and installed.

For both the diagnostic visit and the repair, Eddie kept me updated via text on his estimated arrival time and was always punctual. The team installed the new water heater very quickly. The price was quoted up front, and there were no surprises when the work was completed.

In terms of COVID precautions - the team wore masks and gloves while they were in my apartment.

We had Downtown P&H visit our apartment to fix an overflowing toilet tank. Their customer service was available in the middle of the night and coached us on how to temporarily solve the problem until the plumber could come in the morning. William called us at 8 am, just like the operator said he would, and showed up to fix the issue within an hour. He was efficient, friendly, and detail oriented. Not only did he fix our plumbing problem, but he CLEANED our entire bathroom area around the toilet and the sink, replaced our problematic toilet flushing lever without being prompted, as well as noticing our bathroom door handle was loose and tightening it. These guys are great. Would definitely be using Downtown P&H again and utilizing William's skills and excellent customer service.

While there are undoubtedly many plumbers in the NY area who have the technical ability to do a job well, what's much harder to find is someone who can both do a job well and whose judgement can be fully trusted.

Colin Lee has consistently demonstrated both qualities throughout the many projects he's done for us over 3+ years, whether it comes to properly diagnosing a problem, providing accurate time/cost estimates, thoroughly executing a project, running all of the proper tests to verify completion, and his overall reliability.

We couldn't imagine using anyone other than Colin for our plumbing-related needs, and confidently recommend him to anyone who can benefit from his services.

My experience with Blaustein was the complete opposite of Phineas' (as has been the experience of two co-ops who've used Blaustein for years and recommended them).  B. responded immediately to my call and located a hard-to-reach leaking drainpipe that two previous plumbers had been unable to find.  Junior, the head doctor, had to cut away a lot of wood shims under the tub to see the culprit, then removed and replaced it in only two hours' work.  Decades of experience, total professionals, reasonable prices, and it's even a union shop, we understand.

Samir was great to work with. We needed to make space in our kitchen for a dishwasher installation (which included putting a new outlet in and taking out some cabinets). Samir was super responsive and easy to work with. Scheduling was a breeze and he came and did the job in an afternoon. The price for the job was really fair and better than all of the other quotes we got. Samir is also a really nice guy. I couldn't recommend him highly enough and we are very happy with our new dishwasher!

Brandon and Jay were super helpful and quick! They looked at the photos I'd taken of what I thought was a leaking boiler and walked me through an easy fix over the phone! Will definitely reach out to them for future plumbing issues!

One afternoon I was walking by and realize they sell Girl Scout cookies. Well, I don't need a single plumbing supply but  I was happy to find cookies. Costumer service was friendly and helpful and I didn't feel uncomfortable  being a woman walking in there. Head to DJ plumping for your Plumping and cookie needs. HAHA

If I could give zero stars I would.  Called at least 4 times, the customer service rep(s) said the technician would be in contact with you within the hour.  Never heard a peep from any of their techs.  Needless to say, no one ever came to service our HVAC.  Stay away from these clowns

I had to replace a kitchen sink faucet and I got in contact on a Saturday, and he came Monday morning, exactly on time. Price was absolutely affordable and the job was done super quick. It was not an easy job as the space was very tight due to a garbage disposal being in the way. There was a problem with the hot water line being too short and he was able to completely solve it without having to leave and get a new part and potentially costing me more. Would absolutely use again and plan on having him come out in the future.

This company is a disgrace and Eric is a shyster. When he calls his boss and you hear him say they are nice people or they are good people what can we do for them is code word for they are naive and we can hit them over the head. Enjoy the extra money you conned out of me. Wound up was my problem never got fixed and I had it done by another company for 6 times less than what they charged me. Wish I could take them to court.

Really rude and unhelpful. Just needed one part and they were going to charge extra bs fees for handling. Do yourself a favor and buy exactly what you need online
