Main Man should be your first choice if faced with a large water main / sewer job.
We had the unfortunate pleasure of having a pipe break in the street, and as the home owner ,we were on the hook to repair.

After calling 4 contractors, we were quoted some outrageously high prices. 2 contractors flat out lied to me about the types of pipe I had in my home, trying to scare me into replacing pipes that were fine, but would pad the job .

Irwin from Main Man showed up and straight away debunked what the last contractor told me (I already knew I was lied to, but was impressed Irwin didn't perpetuate the lie - ( he could have to score himself a larger job)

He quoted me a price that was $2500. LOWER than the last guy, and was going to do it in 1/2 the time. I was skeptical, because his price was so reasonable, I was just waiting for the other shoe to drop.

But I was pleasantly surprised.

Irwin sat with me, and walked me through the contract, and really just made me feel at ease, in a time when I was besides myself because of the situation.

The next day Main Main's workers showed up, on time and in good spirits - They got to work promptly, and worked cleanly. In under 3 hours the job was done, and the workers assured me the final steps would be completed in a weeks time. 4 days later the final concrete was laid and I couldn't be happier.

Akeim is professional, knowledgeable and efficient.  When the kitchen faucet in my tenant apartment broke, from the pictures of the damage he was able to assess quickly that I needed to do a replacement instead of a repair and advised objectively on the type of faucet I should get.  Once obtained, he installed it quickly for a reasonable price.  I was very pleased with his work and look forward to working with him on future projects.

I checked a couple different plumbers regarding an issue. I selected these folks, since they offered a free estimate. I called repeatedly trying to make an appointment, and got nobody--and nobody called me back even though I left several voicemails. I finally got in touch with them today, the day I'd been trying to schedule them, and they weren't available until Wednesday and had an extra $150 fee they hadn't told me about before.

The phone tree for these folks is labyrinthine and leads me to believe this is a decentralized, disorganized company that's just trying to milk money out of people. I imagine that's why some reviews of them are very positive, and others are not. I'd recommend you go with a more forthcoming company.

Eddie is the best in the biz! Had a leak in the basement ceiling under my bathtub so I feared the worst. Eddie came out the first time for no charge and assured me it was not what I feared but said he'd come back if the leak came back. Then when the leak returned he and his team came out after the biggest snow storm we've had in years and found the culprit was bad sealing next to the tub. He sealed it up with some stuff I had leftover from the last job and he only charged me for this second call. I'd definitely recommend him for any plumbing needs! Thanks Eddie.

Austin Plumbing  broke my families plumbing and did not pay for the damages.  They were asked  to replace broken parts and  took no
responsibility for the damage they did. They were over 4 hours late and made a mess destroying the plumbing parts and fixture.

I had a substantial leak running down my wall, that started the night of a torrential rainstorm.  Had all manner of pros weigh in, and many just scratched their heads.  Were not listening to me when explaining the problem.  Platinum listened to me, found the problem and fixed it, and charged me way less than I thought it was going to be.  They were honest, informative and forthcoming with explanations on everything.  They will be my go to with any plumbing needs or issues in the future.  Call them you won't regret it. We just had the best experience with Blaustein Plumbing. Their employee arrived in less than 2 hours from our call.  He was polite, articulate and knowledgable - even funny!  The issue with our in-sink disposal unit was diagnosed and repaired quickly.  I have told our management company not to use anyone else any more.

Samir was a pleasure to work with. I reached out to several contractors regarding a small project that most contractors would not even get back to me about because it wasn't worth their time. The scope of the project was removing the existing countertop, building a new custom cabinet for my appliance(the existing one was a custom 18 depth), installing new countertop and installing a new backing for the back of the island.

He was responsive, came to see the project and discuss the scope, gave me a price and was honest about pricing (he said he would have to mark up the countertop price if he ordered for me which is understandable)

Overall, I'm happy with the work for the price. I ordered a large countertop that had to come in two pieces due to the size and you can tell one of them is slightly not level. It's a minimal height difference but I can tell, doesn't take away from the renovation too much.

Great service, communication and everything was done in a day as promised.

Although I've never done official business with Friedman & Son (thus the 4 star rather than 5 star review), I greatly appreciated the fact that they helped me with a useful referral. I called for an emergency bathroom repair and although Friedman wasn't available during the time frame I needed, he graciously referred me to a friend of his at another company who *was* able to help (and who provided great service). I appreciated his willingness to provide info that enabled me to rapidly solve my problem, rather than just saying, Nope. All booked up, and hanging up- a mark of a quality person and business! It was extremely hard to schedule them and even after havjng an appointment, the plumber did not show up. Very poor response.

I just purchased a home in North Brunswick and had major sewage issues, basement flooded the works. I literally called urgent drain and they were there that day. When the workers came they went right to work. They put the camera down my trap, snaked my line and hydro jetted it. It was hot and they was grinding. At the end before they left I found out that one of the guys that was out there grinding for like 4-5 hours was the Owner Rob. If the OWNER grinds like that, I know all his workers do. I highly recommend him. You get top quality service at fair and reasonable prices..

Very unprofessional... they are a scam please stay away. They didnt fix my drain instead caused more damage. Look at reviews from other yelp pages for cheap johns you will see a lot of people have complaints against them. They just keep opening new yelp pages. Very unprofessional.

Bought a portable dishwasher, and the device that connects to the sink didn't seem to fit my sink. I went to AE on the recommendation of a local hardware store that wasn't able to help me out.

Turns out, I wasn't doing it the right way and it did fit. They helped me out free of charge, despite the fact that I was a retail client instead of a contractor, who seem to be their typical customers. I appreciated the honesty and quick service!
