We had a water main break at our coop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The situation was dire and required prompt attention. If we were to wait long the pipe would burst and we would have a disaster on our hands. Several plumbing contractors gave us their estimates. Scott from Main Man gave us a competitive price AND promised to do the job on Sunday, earlier than the other contractors. Since time was of the essence we gave the job to MAIN MAN. They arrived that Sunday on time, did a great job, and finished ahead of schedule. I was impressed by the crew's professionalism and good manners. They left the place cleaner than they found it. Highly recommended.

Our toilet had a stoppage in the middle of the night. After consulting with multiple plumbers, Akeim of Sturks Sewer Works was able to clear the blockage and get the toilet back into functional order at a very reasonable rate. Thank you so much Akeim!

I would give Robert and his crew 10 stars if I could. They were always on time, courteous, did absolutely beautiful and thorough work, took such care with my home, and went above and beyond to make sure everything turned out just the way I wanted it. They redid two bathrooms - including tiling, tub installation, and radiant flooring. I couldn't be happier or more grateful that I hired Star Cities.

Eddie is the best in the biz! Had a leak in the basement ceiling under my bathtub so I feared the worst. Eddie came out the first time for no charge and assured me it was not what I feared but said he'd come back if the leak came back. Then when the leak returned he and his team came out after the biggest snow storm we've had in years and found the culprit was bad sealing next to the tub. He sealed it up with some stuff I had leftover from the last job and he only charged me for this second call. I'd definitely recommend him for any plumbing needs! Thanks Eddie.

Pete and James were respectful, punctual and efficient. I had an issue with my steam heat system and they came and diagnosed and fixed the problem under an hour. They provided an abundance of information while they were here. I will be using them again.

Waited for 4 hours. Guy showed up without calling - oh, the office was supposed to call you. Wanted to charge me $275 for a job that he said would be an hour but was probably less than half of that (with no parts cost - replacing an inner tank that I had on hand). Didn't seem to know what he was doing.

I rarely leave reviews, yet I felt it important in this case so people get a balanced opinion. I hired Colin Lee for a plumbing job based solely on his 5 star reviews. I was extremely disappointed. I hired him to evaluate my kitchen drain as it was draining slowly. As reviews indicated, he is personable and wore shoe covers into my apartment, so I was already sold. He looked at my kitchen and bathroom sinks and snaked a small portion of the drain under my sink. When he did not clear the obstruction, he told me the blockage was well distant to my apartment (I live on the second floor of an old Brownstone). He said the problem was likely in the walls below my apartment or in the basement. As this was a job beyond his scope, he said I would need a larger plumbing company. He charged me $50 for his time and went on his way. I understood and initially thought this all seemed reasonable.

I then called a different plumber, who came the next day. I told the second plumber what Colin had said. The new plumber was certain it needed to be snaked and that Colin had not done an adequate job. The second plumber spent about an hour and thoroughly snaked my kitchen pipes. He cleared the obstruction and the water drains perfectly.

I then contacted Colin and let him know that my pipes just needed additional snaking and were now fine. I was hoping he would do the right thing and at least return my $50. Instead, he stuck to his original explanation. He said From my experience it seems like the issue I explained, and in my experience the issue generally returns in a week or 2 even if you think the clog is gone. It has been two weeks and my sink drains beautifully.

I assume Colin is OK for very simple jobs.....although, by plumbing standards, my job was relatively simple. If you have any job that is remotely complicated, look elsewhere.

We had no heat this weekend, and my building was struggling to get a plumber to come by. I used Blaustein a while back to install some new bathroom fixtures, so I gave their number to my super without really expecting much. Thankfully our pipes weren't frozen and in less than 3 hours later our heat was fixed and my super raved to me about the fast, clean work that the mechanic did.

I recently had my Tudor home in New Jersey painted by S&A Quality Pro Services. I was impressed with the work and particularly the responsiveness of Samir, the owner. His guys came over promptly every morning and finished the job in less than a week, despite challenging weather conditions. I intend to use them for other home improvement projects in the future.

Called and left a message and Jay called back within a few hours.  He was super helpful troubleshooting my issue, and didn't try to oversell.  In fact, he made some suggestions for me to do instead of having him come out.  Really appreciate it, and would recommend to anyone.

Best service Ive ever had from a business.I had a problem with the DEP not accepting my backflow test results due to the initial test being filled out incorrectly by a Build it Back architect,Tom and his staff did all the legwork contacting all the parties involved and rectified the situation.They saved me a lot of money in fines,And also saved me from having to hire another architect.They asked for nothing in return,even though they spent alot of time and energy on my case.

Best supply house in queens . Almost always have what I need. Prices are very competitive with other supply houses . The help at the front counter is exceptional . Very knowledgeable staff . I contacted Rasco Plumbing and Heating to get a quote on fitting my house with central air. They charged me $49 to attend (which I was happy to pay) and told me I would receive the quote within two days. After a week of not hearing from them I rang their office and got an answering service and left a message. I left a message the following day too. I still have not received a call back.

I called bluekrait n regard it later on . Never ever again calling this guy. Called this guy on 02/16/2018 n we agree he will come n waited. Then later on he got busy n we arranged next day for service no problem . He came he did try to remove main sewer line cap h couldn't open so he broke the tip on main line as you guys can see pictures that i post . If he would have told me hey this is very serious that you should get fixed a asap before heaving rain came or so that will be flood ur basement. And 03/01 03/02 heavy rain came n flooded our basement with 3 to 4 foot of sewer water . He never mention me and me as a new home owner no idea that i have to go throu hell n cost me  thousands fo dollars in damages our furnance and furniture n oil tank got damage:( please next time warn customer so they won get heart attack from you ).

I called a couple of the 49.99 cleaning services for a clogged main sewer line and Chap John's responded to my inquiry to do the job.  He came to  the job and charged $200 to do the job and then gave me a half-assed guarantee stating that if I call within 30 days, (Monday through Saturday from 8 AM to 6 PM) he would do the job again for $49.00.

I called him within 3 weeks because the drain needed to be cleared again, and this guy played dumb stating that I don't even do drains.  Stay clear of this guy-  he is definitely CHEAP because he doesnt honor his half-Assed guarantees on services!

AE was recommended to me by a contractor friend who has been buying from them for years. I went in to buy parts for a project in which I have to build an inflation system (balloon that inflates and deflates) so I was looking for valve part options to facilitate inflation and deflation.

The men working there were willing to help me and showed me a few part options. The first man (the owner I think) gave me some switch valves (plastic & metal) and then another man brought out a bike pump valve and a ball valve. I ended up buying the bike valve for $3.

They said they did not sell any small pumps (smaller than large bike pumps they were selling).

They accept returns with 25% restocking fee within 30 days.
