We received a 3-day notice from DEP on a Sunday. I contacted Main Man immediately on Monday morning and spoke directly with the owner, Scott. He was extremely responsive and provided an estimate right away. His estimate was reasonable and competitive. He was on the job by Wednesday and even saved us money by honestly advising us that our line was fine and it was just a faulty connection which was causing the leak. Scott was also very fair with payment terms -- he required a lower deposit than other companies and didn't require final payment until the street was repaired. Other companies require large deposits before even showing up and demand final payment when just the plumbing work is done -- that's unsettling for a property owner who wants to make sure the street is sealed to obtain NYC sign off. I would recommend Scott to all. Great work! (I even offered Scott a discount on furniture for his home since he was such a stand up guy). Akeim is professional, knowledgeable and efficient.  When the kitchen faucet in my tenant apartment broke, from the pictures of the damage he was able to assess quickly that I needed to do a replacement instead of a repair and advised objectively on the type of faucet I should get.  Once obtained, he installed it quickly for a reasonable price.  I was very pleased with his work and look forward to working with him on future projects.

I recently used Recommended Plumbing because my water heater no longer was producing hot water.  I called Ed the owner and he was very responsive.  We scheduled an appointment and he arrived in a very timely manner.  He accessed the water heater and informed me we would have to purchase a new one. Him and his team arrived and installed the new water heater very quickly (within a couple of hours) and it is working very efficiently.  I also had a leak underneath my kitchen sink and this was repaired.  In addition, he repaired 2 tub spouts that were leaking while the shower was being used.  Him and his team were incredible.  I definitely recommend them and will use them moving forward. Ed was very professional, very reasonable with regard to pricing and he will be the first person I call with regard to plumbing issues.

Had a problem with the heat in my house this morning. Making things worse was the temperature outdoors was below 32 degrees.  I checked the pilot light for the Weil Mclein boiler in my basement -- despite several Attempts to light the pilot, it would not stay lit, and thus no heat in my house.  So I called a couple of contrac I knew -- unfortunately they were not available to help.  Hence, I decided to check on Yelp.com for heating specialists.  Found Downtown Plumbing & Heating with positive reviews-- thus I decided to give them a call.  i called around 11am, and got a dispatch for someone to come to my home by 2 - 3 Pm. At 1:23 pm, George arrived well ahead of time with the right part to quickly resolve the boiler issue.  I am very happy with the service, and enjoying the warm heat on this cold night.  Saving their number for the future!

I would certainly recommend Colin.  He just installed a kitchen facet for us. Communicated well, showed up on time, and did an excellent job at a fair price.  Will certainly call him again if I have future plumbing needs.

We had an issue with a leak at our restaurant. No one was available.  When we called and spoke to the owner, not only did he make sure to get someone out right away. He followed up after to make sure we were taken care of.

I have been having a lot of trouble finding a reliable plumber / construction repairman.  Today I lucked out.  S & A Quality Pro Services did a fantastic job.  He showed up on time, did thorough and accurate work, replacing a bathroom faucet and fixing a major hole in the drywall.  I certainly will be calling him again for the many jobs in the building.  I highly recommend him.

First off, these guys responded in minutes, not hours.  Second, they were as nice as they were knowledgeable. It's really no wonder why these guys are on their 4th generation of family owning and operating in the area. I've dealt with many plumbers over the years but these guys are by far ahead of the pack.

Best service Ive ever had from a business.I had a problem with the DEP not accepting my backflow test results due to the initial test being filled out incorrectly by a Build it Back architect,Tom and his staff did all the legwork contacting all the parties involved and rectified the situation.They saved me a lot of money in fines,And also saved me from having to hire another architect.They asked for nothing in return,even though they spent alot of time and energy on my case.

Appalling customer service even borderlining obnoxious for being busy I am just going to have to live with not having your business. Extremely disappointing from a customer service 20yr veteran perspective, a woman owned Construction Co in NY and them being recommended from a Successful GC friend....

This morning we discovered our basement slop sink wasn't draining and I couldn't get to the clog. I called Rob due to the great reviews on yelp. He called me back almost immediately and he gave me what I thought was a reasonable quote and we agreed on a time when they would arrive.

Rob arrived when he said he would and was friendly and polite. Got to work right away and found the clog and after a little bit cleared the drain. We were chatting throughout and he gave me some tips on keeping the drains clean.

Best part was when it was time to settle up he asked for LESS then the original estimate that was quoted because it didn't take hm as long as he thought it would!!

That's the kind of honesty and integrity that you just don't see much these days and it was much appreciated. Rob told me I had a 90 day warranty and if their were any further issues they would return at no cost.

Fast and quick!they cleared the first clog but they couldn't clear the main sewer line bcoz it needed some digging and they don't do digging!!

Really rude and unhelpful. Just needed one part and they were going to charge extra bs fees for handling. Do yourself a favor and buy exactly what you need online
